Empyrean Verse

Taylor Lillian Borelli is the daughter of former famed Tyrrish dragonrider Colonel Catherine Borelli, and Alessio Borelli, a Scribe from Cordyn. She was fourteen years old when the Tyrrish Rebellion began, and her family was split apart, as it seemed that Catherine had chosen to back Navarre, while Alessio fled to Cordyn; Catherine died in the Rebellion, effectively orphaning Taylor, as Alessio was safe beyond Navarre's borders and jurisdisction.

However, in a cruel twist of fate, Taylor was one of the one hundred and seven Tyrrish children who was Marked when Fen Riorson and his cohorts were executed by dragonfire. Her swirling black relic covers the back of her left hand and travels up to her shoulder, and a few days later, she and the others were informed of the decision that they would all be Conscripted on their twentieth year to join the Riders Quadrant.

Thankfully, Taylor was fostered by a Navaaran family who was willing to train her in hand to hand combat and weapons. Despite being the smallest Marked child at only five foot two, she is possibly the most ruthless and bloodthirsty, making her an asset to Xaden Riorson after she crosses the Parapet.

At Threshing, Taylor bonds with the oldest and largest red dragon, a Scorpiontail named Fiadhaich, also known as Fia. Her relic is of a red dragon winding down her right arm, tail curled around her wrist, and she favors axes as her weapons, as well as a crossbow. When she eventually begins channeling, she is a signet replicator, meaning that she has the ability to replicate any signet she stands witness to, as well as enhancing the signets of those she has a particularly strong bond with, so long as they are in close physical proximity. Her signet is so rare that it hasn't been seen in over two hundred years.

a shadow or bodyguard, whatever xaden wants to call liam, is absolutely unnecessary. after what he pulled during formation regarding amber anyone would have to be stupid to try to attack her again. then again she’s still pretty much enemy number one on jack’s list, but she can handle him. violet had woken up earlier than normal to wrap her joints in an effort to leave her room before liam showed up at his usual time. there was no reason for this, nowhere she had to be. it was her own stubbornness taking over, wanting to prove a point to xaden that she didn’t need a bodyguard. however when she opened her door there was liam standing in front of it with a smile that made her think he knew exactly what she was trying to do. she just doesn’t know how. she doesn’t bother returning his smile. “don’t tell me you started sleeping outside my door like a dog.���

her aggravation wasn’t with him, she had to remind herself, he’s only doing what he was ordered to do. her aggravation only grew when she realized everyone, for the most part, always does what xaden says. especially the marked ones. with no particular direction in mind she began walking, liam no doubt following close behind. “surely you have something else you could be doing, like sleeping? nobody is going to attempt to kill me this early.”

Age: 28+ Occupation: King of Essetir, Dragon Rider Dragon: Red Scorpiontail female named Arynth Signet: Earth-wielding Loyalty: Allied with the rebellion The kingdom of Essetir is a small, island nation located far into the warm waters of the Arctile Ocean. They may be relatively few in number, but the population consists of fearsome warriors who's riders spend years developing and training their signet powers. Cenred is bonded to a fairly average-sized female Red Scorpiontail named Arynth, but what she lacks in size she makes up for in ferocity. Cenred's signet is earth-wielding; he can control and manipulate rocks, soil, sand, lava and other earth-based minerals. He has spent almost a decade carefully cultivating his signet abilities; consequently, he has excellent stamina and control.

Historically, before Cenred ascended the throne, Essetir were invaded by Navarre but their attackers failed to penetrate even the first line of Essetir's defense - not wishing to admit defeat, the Navarre king declared the invasion a great success, and that Essetir had been destroyed. Happy to live a quiet life, Essetir made no attempt to make their existence known. That was, up until their dragons warned them of the threat on their breeding grounds from the venin.

For about the last four months I’ve been working on binding the nights-verse by @widebrimmedhatsblog and I am happy to say I have finished it!

I had a few months of trying to format when I wasn’t working or doing school work. Then in December I finally printed it. It took me two hours and 124 pieces of paper. But it was printed.

After folding and pressing all of the paper I went to my local library’s maker space to use some of their tool. It took me six hours to poke holes and sew up the book.

Then after to holidays I made and connected to cover. Today I finally painted it. Free hand painting on linen is a paint, so it’s not incredibly detailed but it’s done. And I’m very happy with how it turned out!

I wanted to ask if you could share some violet×xaden fanfics that include only the first book or au but none that include any info about iron flame 🤭 I'm so excited to start book2 but first I wanted to read some fanfics 🥹

It’s pure instinct that drives her.

The moment hands grasp her, haul her back – she doesn’t register that the body covering her own is protecting her from the fire that hurtles, only that there’s a body pressing against her own, taller and bearing more muscle than her own petite stature. Instinct, that brings her elbow up to catch a sculpted jaw, and her knee driving between thighs to somewhere she knows will bring a special sort of pain, all but fighting to squirm her way out of protective grasp even as the curse falls from his lips. All within seconds of the impact, years of training overriding rationality to take in the moment.

Xaden fucking Riorson.

Chest rises and falls with a heavy breath, forcing herself to calm in the moment – head canted up to meet his gaze now, her own narrowing with recognition. Of course, she knows who he is ; but she is built on earning trust, and this is not someone she’s willing to give even an inch to just yet.

“Do I look like I need your help?”

Words slip free breathlessly, body pressed close to his now, and her voice lowers now, the purr in her tone not too unlike the creatures that breathe raging fire not so far from them.

“You are not someone who offers help for free, Riorson, and I am not eager to be in your debt.”

xaden riorson is not accustomed to looking out for those not scarred upon his back. there's a deal he's made. he'll look out for that when the time comes. but this? this is a suicide mission. he recognises the girl from the drifts when he's delivered weapons to syrena. remembers the bright hair and the eyes that flash with golden fire ring'd round the iris. he's spent too long in the company of the gryphon riders to not recognise her use of the little sorts of magics, as well as the runes she's depending on to function here beneath the protection of the wardstone.

eyes watch her like a hawk, distrusting her, and this place -- he swears he cares for nothing except the people he protects. but when dragonfire is pouring across the open pathway due to a paltry third year squabble. he's grabbed her and thrown her back, his body covering hers with a split second reaction. this earns him an elbow to the jaw and a knee to somewhere delicate.

' for fuck sake! i was fucking helping you! '
