melissa told you that janine was throwing a “last day of school” party and she wanted you to be her plus one. there was alcohol at the party, but you didn’t drink. melissa sure did.

janine’s way of partying was pretty complicated with all the different sections. you felt yourself getting little, but melissa was dancing with barbara and you thought she seemed a little busy. so you stayed in the section you felt safest in.

in janine’s bedroom with gregory, manny, and zach watching black panther: wakanda forever.

you pulled at gregory’s shirt, wanting to ask him something. “what’s up- aye, you okay, man? you look like you’re about to cry.”

“can you get ma- can you get melissa, please?”

gregory, nodding understandingly, got up to get melissa, while janine came storming in.

“change it back!! the movies not supposed to be compelling, guys.”

“..but namor.” manny pointed at the screen. “and angela.” zach added.

sooner or later, melissa came in seeing you on janine’s bed, hugging your legs to your chest. “alright, everybody out.” she said, shooing everyone out of the room and pausing the movie.

she shut the door in janine’s face before she could speak, coming to sit in front of you on the bed. “what’s wrong, bambi?”

“too loud, mama.” you referred to the bumping muffled music coming from the living room. “i know, sweetie.” she brushed away the tear that came from your eye.

“it looks like your mama’s little baby boy tonight. i’ll call us a cab and we’ll get out of here, how’s that?”

you nodded, sniffling a little. “don’t cry, bambino. c’mon, let’s go. where’s your jacket?”

you pointed in the direction of the living room, and melissa hoped it was on the coat rack.

“i gotta go.” melissa told janine and barbara. “not feeling too good.” she made up and excuse to get you out of there.

mr. johnson bid you two farewell and you and melissa walked down the sidewalk and she waved for a cab. the two of you got in, you immediately laying your head on melissa’s shoulder.

“good job tonight, bambi.” she stroked your hair. “paciii,” you whined quietly into melissa’s neck so the taxi driver wouldn’t hear you. “you’ll get it when we’re home, baby.” she patted your butt.

you whined softly, making melissa hush you. you brought your thumb up to your mouth and started sucking on it, making melissa almost stop you. as much as she didn’t like you sucking your thumb, she let you just for being so brave tonight.

as the taxi drove you and melissa home, the slow hum of the engine and the rocking of the car sent you straight to sleep.

genlissa agere moodboard and headcanons !! mostly focusing around little ! gen and papa ! mel but if you ask me they share the calico critters, top row's are mel's with gen's hello kitty and bottom row's are genny's. as for the hugging stuffies i thought the monkey's were super butchfemme ( them ! ) and i think both pictures are stuffies they would have and of course make hold paws / hands and hug all the time ! it makes mari annoyed ( chronic hater especially with couples ) but that only encourages them. more headcanons under the cut ! also keep your eyes peeled for more stuff involving them both together and individually i have lotsa thoughts ! yellowjackets masterlist here , upcoming list here

gen who's the sweetest little angel for melissa but tends to be bratty if anyone else is to take care of her. little ! mari who's the biggest little troublemaker, encouraging gen when she throws her toys or bites or says bad words. gen throwing a tantrum and someone, probably lottie, says something about getting melissa and the minute he comes over she's back to babbling and giggling happily. "oh, baby, what's wrong? lottie told me we're havin' some trouble." melissa is sympathetic even though everyone else is kind of ticked off. "'m wanted 'apa," she says, smiling innocently at him. he makes a little comment about her being naughty but he's chuckling; both of them know she'll probably get away with it.

melissa is "papa" or "daddy" to gen while she's "princess" , "daddy's girl" , "munchkin" , "genny" , "baby girl" .

when melissa is the one to regress, gen immediately goes mama mode. he's not good about telling her but she immediately knows. he's "little one" , "baby" , "cub / cubby" and she's "mama".

gen even when she's baby regressed is a big giggler and babbler. melissa on the other hand is nonverbal or mute while regressed.

tiny ! mel quietly slipping his pinky through gen's, keeping close to her at all times, sitting at her feet or lap whenever he can. mel is much shyer about his regression so they often use the couple excuse for when mel is little and wants to sit on mama's lap or hold her hand.

the whole team knows about gen's regression and they're all cool with it. mel always wants to show off his baby girl, and gen loves to be shown off. she's such a daddy's girl. mel who always wears his hat, getting gen a matching one or even letting her wear his when she wants daddy's. sometimes the rest of the team will tease him about the way he's so wrapped around her finger, if anyone else took his hat he'd have a full on meltdown.

mel being the chivalrous butch papa he is, keeps a picture of gen in his wallet, showing it off to any and everybody.

melissa comes from a poor family and can't afford to spoil gen as much as he'd like to. he feels a bit ashamed sometimes about it, worrying gen's embarrassed by him or that he's not as good a cg because of it. gen who always reassures him, telling him "that's silly papa. i don' care if you buy me stuff, you're da best daddy ever," giving him a kiss on the nose.

gen who is so proud to have melissa as her cg, telling everyone who will listen "that's my daddy," with a big smile on her face.

she gets very territorial though, telling the rest of the team "he's my daddy >:(" and getting really upset if he's to do anything for another one of her teammates when they're regressed. she's the type of baby to tug on his sleeve, trying to get his attention back on her. "MINE," she'll shriek, throwing herself bawling onto the floor if he's to continue focusing on the other regressor.

mel is the only one who can calm fussy gen down. the other yellowjackets will try EVERYTHING but nothing works. as soon as she's in melissa's arms though, she'll be back to her happy self. mari who will scream at her to "SHUT UP" and gen telling mel on her, sticking her tongue out at mari who then gets a talking to from mama akilah.

"mamaaaa," you whined, becoming a very hungry and fussy baby. it was friday night, which meant melissa made carbonara. "mama just got done, hon." melissa said to you over the baby gate that kept you out of the kitchen. "go sit at the table, kay? mama's gonna fix your plate."

you sat down in a chair, hearing silverware clinking together. "carbonara for you, sweetheart. and mama used your favorite plate." she placed your dinner in front of your on your blue clue's plate and giving you a matching fork to eat with. melissa gave you some juice in a sippy cup after bringing her plate and a glass of wine to the table. "it is yummy, sweets?"

you nodded, some of the sauce already on your cheek. "don't eat it so fast, it's not goin' anywhere, hon." she chuckled to herself as she ate, taking a sip of wine. "you better save some room for cannolis."

"..wan cannoli."

"eat your dinner like a good little one and mama will give you one."

after dinner, melissa cleaned up your dishes, your messy face and gave you a cannoli. she fed it to you, getting one for herself as well. you and melissa finished up in the kitchen and she decided it was time for you to get to bed.

she gave you a bath, pulling you out of the water and drying you off with your babyish bath towel. "wanna cannoli." you huddled towards your mama for warmth as she dryed off your wet hair. "you want another? not tonight, hon. no more sweets until tomorrow." she looked into your pleading little eyes and watched your lips turn into a frown.

she chuckled a little at your pout, putting your towel hood up and carrying you to the bedroom. "don't be pouty, cutie. look what mama's got." she pulled out your favorite batman footie pajamas, it was the perfect night for them. you were an easy baby to please, so you perked up almost instantly, the cannoli forgotten.

"now that is too precious." she finished snapping the buttons on your pajamas. she slipped your paci in your mouth, cooing lovingly. "you're the cutest little baby bat! you like your jammies?" melissa pinched your cheek and you nodded. "c'mere, it's storytime, little baby." she sat you on her lap, rocking you side to side as she read to you in a soft voice. by the end of the book, you were dozing off, your head rested on her shoulder.

“i think it’s bedtime for the little baby in my arms, hmm?” she got up from the chair, still cradling you in her arms. you whined, rubbing your eyes. “..nother story, mama.” your words were muffled from the paci in your mouth.

“shhh,,, you’re sleepy, hon. go night night for me, okay?” she put you in bed, pulling the blankets over you and giving you your stuffie. your whines got sleepier and weaker, and with melissa’s cooes and hushes, you were fast asleep.

there sam stood, her arms slightly raised in attempt to protect the two behind her; chad and tara.

“well,” tara began, “if you’re going to kill us then come on motherfucker!”

detective bailey displayed a slight smirk on his face as he began to walk up to the three, knife in hand. before he could make it close enough to attack, his phone rang.

“you gonna get that?” sam smirked, knowing who it was.

detective bailey hesitated, grabbing his phone after the third ring. “who’s this?”

“take a guess.” the voice responded.

the realization sets in as bailey laughs in response, “you really aren’t that bright, are you y/n? you do realize i can kill your precious friends before you could say another word.”

“you can sure as hell try, but when the police get here,” you paused, “it’s over. especially for you.”

“i’m a fucking police officer,” bailey spoke, his voice growing louder and angrier. “how do you think this is gonna go, y/n? who do you think they’re gonna believe, huh?”

there was a moment of silence before the voice responded.

“probably the one who’s still alive.”

this time, the voice was louder and the call was no longer connected. the voice was coming from behind detective bailey, just as he turns around the figure launches at him, stabbing him over and over again.

as the knife plunges in and out of his skin, you can hear your fathers voice in the back of your head, “keep going, show no mercy.” he said.

you ignored the voices, raising the knife in the air one last time, “23.”

the knife is planted right in bailey’s eye before being taken right out. the figure wipes the knife off with their glove before throwing it to the ground, taking off the mask to reveal you.

you were out of breath, the adrenaline rushing throughout your body. you made your way over to kirby who had fallen unconscious due to being shot, you grab her gun before walking back over to detective bailey.

you raise the gun, clicking the safety off before pulling the trigger, ending detective bailey’s life for good.

as you drop the gun, you pick up the mask you had been previously wearing before walking towards your friends, arms open and available for a hug.

chad is the first one to initiate the hug, tara and sam doing the same.

“i’m so glad you’re okay,” chad began, “i thought—”

“i know,” you replied, cutting him off as you already knew what he was about to say.

“now, let’s get the hell out of here.” sam said, releasing you from the hug as chad and tara do the same.

“yeah.” you said, taking off the robe, holding the mask in between your arm and chest before placing it back into your hand.

chad rests his arm around your shoulder as the three of you exit the shrine. as you pass by a mirror you see your father’s reflection, a proud expression plastered on his face as you smile before looking towards the ground.

“sorry you had to see all of that,” you told chad, focusing on the ground below you as the two of you walked outside.

“why are you sorry?”

“i don’t know,” you began, “i guess i just think that that made me look really fucking crazy.”

“well, lucky for you,” chad spoke as you glance up at him in confusion, “i love crazy girls.”

here's part two of genlissa headcanons , !!,!

melissa having a hard day not realizing he's regressed just staring off into space largely unresponsive. gen who sees this and immediately goes into mama mode , running off to grab her warmest sweater before kneeling beside her baby. "tough day , baby?" she speaks in a low voice , jostling his shoulder to get his attention. mel who jolts back to reality with teary eyes and shivering , nodding wordlessly. "here , let mama help," gen will say gently , helping him to put on her sweater and sitting next to him with an arm around his shoulder. as mentioned before mel is shy about his regression or she'd pull him directly onto her lap. she lets him bury his face in her neck , rubbing his back soothingly.

little ! melissa who always wants to wear something of gen's , tugging at her sleeve trying to get her to take off her coat or sweater so he can wear it. wearing something of gen's signifies him being hers and it's like always having her protection. mel who breathes her scent in deeply , blushing at it , giggling to himself.

genlissa vs nightmares.. if gen is to have a nightmare she's very vocal , often yelling and crying in her sleep. "daddyyy," she'll whimper , usually waking someone else up in spite of her still being dead asleep. she tends to writhe about while still asleep. she'll wake up confused as melissa shakes her awake gently looking concerned. "oh princess, whatsa matter ?" he'll ask softly. usually there are glares from some other sleepy yellowjackets but gen cocks her head confused. "you were yellin' out for me , genny." he'll pull her in kissing her head. she'll whine , embarrassed. "another bad dream?" he'll prod her. gen is rarely shy but she's embarrassed because yes it was a bad dream but she hadn't meant to wake everyone up , she was yelling in her dream she didn't mean to yell for real. he's very understanding , tucking her back in and holding her until she falls back asleep , scratching her back gently.

melissa doesn't really have nightmares often but if he does he's shy about waking anybody up. sometimes gen will wake up to him coming over and burrowing himself in her arms but she drifts quickly back to sleep , discreetly pulling him aside to talk it out in the morning and comfort him.

they share calico critters like i mentioned before ! gen has all the super girly ones that are dressed up in fancy dresses while melissa has the more subtly dressed boyish ones. the butchfemme of it all... they always play together with them , sharing accessories and some different sets. their favorites to play with are the babies.

sometimes like i mentioned on my last post tiny ! gen wants to wear mel's hat. she'll give him her headband and they'll swap accessories ! melissa doesn't like not wearing his hat and would typically never wear a headband but it gets his baby all giggly when he wears hers and she looks so adorable in his hat.

gen sometimes will puppy regress while melissa will sometimes kitty regress. puppy gen is very excitable , wagging her tail and barking a lot. she's always carrying toys in her mouth and dropping them at melissa's feet giving him puppy eyes until he drops what he's doing to play with her. he's often scruffing her head lovingly and petting her hair to calm her down when she's fussy.

kitten ! melissa who will pull at any loose thread he sees , sometimes accidentally unraveling an old blanket or someone's sweater knitted by a grandma by accident... oopsies.. he often sits by the window , mewing at whatever he sees outside , sometimes batting his paws at a bird outside the window. kitten ! melissa is always curling up in a little ball by the fire and taking little cat naps. mari will always sigh when this happens , she has to use the fire to cook...

kitty ! melissa loves kneading at his blanket. if anyone makes fun of him gen will threaten them or tell the group about something embarrassing that the offender told her about in confidence... she's a menace when it comes to protecting mel. he’ll purr contentedly as he kneads away , gen cooing at him and petting her silly kitty whose tail swishes back and forth in response.

puppy ! gen who is really good at finding things but will only do it at a price for anyone other than melissa. “whadda you’ll give me ?” she’ll ask squinting at lottie or shauna , sat on all fours. she’s quick to say no if she’s not satisfied with their offer. they’ll have to beg or bribe her further. “c’mon , genny,” melissa will urge and only that will get her to budge. “fiiine,” she’ll grumble , trotting off to find the missing item.
