List of Every Brandon Rogers Characters Ever
Tumblr media
I don’t know why I did this. It took 4 hours. I haven’t seen ever Brandon Rogers video (shocking, I know) so some are missing. I purposely didn’t add any parody characters (the Kardashians, Annabell, M3GAN etc), but if you notice any BRCU characters missing, please comment so I can add them.
And obviously the characters not credited are played by Brandon Rogers.
David July is credited as David Burton on this list. I’m not sure when they changed their name, as they are credited as both on Brandon’s videos.
I can’t remember who Debbie and Doyle are but I must of put them on this list for a reason

BTW, Bazil (who plays Cheshire Cat) is a trans man who goes by he/him. Just letting people know because people are misgendering him and I assume it’s because they don’t know his pronouns.

Dread by the Decade: The Man They Could Not Hang
👻 You can support me on Ko-Fi! ❤️
Tumblr media
★★★
Plot: After he kills a volunteer for an experiment, a scientist is charged with murder.
Review: A fun story with good cinematography, this film is nevertheless limited by its short runtime, which prevents many concepts and arcs from coming to fruition.
Tumblr media
Year: 1939 Genre: Sci-Fi Horror, Psychological Horror Country: United States Language: English Runtime: 1 hour 4 minutes
Tumblr media
Director: Nick Grinde Writer: Karl Brown Cinematographer: Benjamin H. Kline Editor: William A. Lyon Cast: Boris Karloff, Lorna Gray, Robert Wilcox, Roger Pryor, Ann Doran, Joe De Stefani, Charles Trowbridge, Byron Foulger, Dick Curtis, James Craig, John Tyrrell
Tumblr media
------
Story: 2.5/5 - It would have been more engaging had it been given time to breathe. As it stands, omitted scenes and rushed pacing hobble it.
Performances: 3/5 - Karloff does quite well, though he is unable to fully show his character's arc due to time jumps. A few actors are stiff and subpar, like Doran.
Cinematography: 4/5 - Creative framing, lighting, and camera movements enhance this film considerably.
Tumblr media
Editing: 3.5/5 - Several good fade transitions.
Effects & Props: 4/5 - A lot of awesome lab props and some convincing electrical effects.
Sets: 4/5 - The lab is effective at appearing high tech but unofficial.
Costumes, Hair, & Make-Up: 3.5/5
youtube
Trigger Warnings:
Mild violence

ooh i would absolutely love a media rec list from you (im a different anon but 👀)
omg u flatter me.. here are some pieces of media that i really love that i consider to be somewhat lesser known outside of my circles.. i do have lots of favourites not mentioned here that are far more mainstream (my favourite book ever is, embarrassingly, still The Secret History) but it's nice to shine a light on the more niche. i'll add content warnings but they're not comprehensive because i am just going by memory. im also not tagging gore because To be honest with me that's a given.
books and plays
Hypnerotomachia Poliphili (1499) by Anonymous/Francesco Colonna; very strange book where the author (who is actually revealed in an acrostic poem in Latin made by the first letter of each chapter) clearly has a sexual fetish for buildings and architecture. cw misogyny.
Seneca's Phaedra (1st century AD); i live here. Seneca's tragedy about doomed fatal diseased love. sorry i don't have a translation to recommend but you will be able to read mine one day i promise. cw pseudo-incest, misogyny.
The Pepsi-Cola Addict (1982) by June Alison Gibbons; vanity-published in the 1980s and only existing in five libraries around the world (until i suppose its republishing this or last year), this is a fascinating and very weird little book, and the story behind it too is very sad and interesting. i have a pdf if anyone wants it. cw predatory relationships, incest references, suicide.
The Doloriad (2022) by Missouri Williams; strange and swirling little debut set in a post-apocalyptic future, some really incredible prose. cw incest.
Geek Love (1989) by Katherine Dunne; What if the mother of sideshow freaks was purposefully consuming poisons and alcohols and cetera while pregnant to engineer her kids to be attractions Would that be fucked up for what. cw incest and the ableism inherent in the sideshow "freaks" scene.
Equus (1973) by Peter Shaffer; just read this fucking play man (or watch the 1977 movie!). cw animal death
movies
Repo! The Genetic Opera (2008) dir. Darren Lynn Bousman; sorry not sorry but this is my favourite movie ever. i've seen it 17 times. complete garbage trashy 2000s comedy-horror-gore-musical. insane cast. literal genius.
Caligula (1979) dir. Tinto Brass; Do you want to watch a two and a half hour long porno filled with torture and gorgeous costumes and conversations on power. well do i have the movie for you. cw rape, incest, i know i said i wouldnt tag gore but this one does have explicit penis mutilation so.
Van Diemen's Land (2009) dir. Jonathan auf der Heide; a pretty good movie adaptation of alexander pearce's first descent into cannibalism!! my main real criticism is that they desaturated the gorgeous green and vibrant west coast to grey doomy fakeness. cw beautiful gay love
Żywot Mateusza (1968) dir. Witold Leszczyński; incredible little Polish movie set in a rural village, on youtube with english subtitles.
May (2002) dir. Lucky Mckee; literally the most relatable movie of all time to me. socially awkward (super autistic) girl has trouble with love, you won't Believe what happens next
The Lair of the White Worm (1988) dir. Ken Russell; peter capaldi and hugh grant's earth shattering gay love story... super campy phallic lesbic homoerotic vampiric wyrmesque weirdo horror. peter capaldi wears a kilt and plays the bagpipes. you MUST watch this movie.
Ravenous (1999) dir. Antonia Bird; can cannibalism represent manifest destiny AND homosexuality? find out now!
And Then There Were None (2015) dir. Craig Viveiros; Agatha Christie could only dream of writing Burn Gorman's gay homophobic character in this. transcends the book hundredfold and if you disagree you genuinely have shit taste.
albums
At Least For Now by Benjamin Clementine; just listen to this right now i mean it this shit is fucking phenomenal. incredible voice and lyrics and piano and strings.
Stygian Bough Volume I by Aerial Ruin and Bell Witch; gorgeous atmospheric doomy metal
Ludevo by Ifi Ude; Polish folk with a modern twist as well as influences from Ude's Nigerian background, songs about death and drunkenness and love and ancient pinewoods
Songs About Teeth and To The Dark Tower by Cake Bake Betty; the vibe you have created is so freaky and awesome
Juniverbrecher by The Indelicates; something something brexit punch and judy isn't englishness awful etc etc. seriously underrated.
Bath Time by Maija Sofia; super atmospheric devastating album with lots of songs focusing on specific female figures throughout history. her recent album is also great.
honourable mention to The Thick of It (2005-2012) which if you follow my sideblog you will know ive been spiralling into depravity over for months now. you may ask, if you compare my posts to what the show is actually like, What on earth is she talking about and to that i have nothing to say

List of Jewish Characters for the Panfandom Hanukkah Bingo
I've gotten a few requests for a list of Jewish characters to help people brainstorm for the bingo -- just as a reminder, Jewish headcanons and fanons are totally allowed for the event, so if you don't KNOW whether your character is Jewish, it's totally fine to make them Jewish for your fanwork! :)
But, since people asked, here is a little starter-list of 225 fictional Jewish and Jew-ish characters (characters who are "nebulously Jewish," played by Jews, are Jewish in at least one variation of the character, only make sense if they're Jewish, etc.)

A Nun, a bunch of zombies, a viking farmer, a psychological sleuth and a trio of ghost hunters walked into a bar...
There hasn't been much going on at our local cinemas lately, so I have been jumping between shows like it's a game of the floor is lava. My lack of focus, often allowed me to find some shows I've been looking forward too, some so-so movies and a great suprise.
Prey for the Devil
Tumblr media
This one is a film me and @the-loose-braies have been wanting to watch for a while; fully expecting shlock. And the shlock delivered (a bit more than we expected).
The film follows Sister Ann as she prepares to perform her first exorcism on a demonic entity. The jump scares were fun, the little twist at the end was a nice and it's always good to see Colin Salmon in a movie .
If your looking for a movie to put on while doing some work, this one pairs as well as crispy onions do to a hotdog, and a well chilled can of pepsi/coke.
The Last of Us (ep 1-2)
Tumblr media
GIF by diver5ion
The hype for this show has been a bit crazy in my opinion, especially with the early reviews crowning this as the greatest achievement in achievements. Realistically, The Last of Us, so far, has been decent?
I won't waste any time retelling the story of this extremely popular game, but what I'll say is, what's worked, has worked brilliantly, while the rest to me shows, the narrative of the game isn't as brilliant as it let's on.
I've absolutely loved both cold opens to both episodes (especially the one set in Indonesia), really elevating the existing material and adding extra depth and world building where it previously didnt exist. Craig Mazin (the man behind Chernobyl) clearly has a knack for making the extraordinary feel relatable, with his small changes and touches throughout the first two episodes really helping me get engrossed.
I also loved the city-escape scene from episode 1 (almost shot for shot from the game) and the introduction to the clickers. To me though the episodes standout was Olivia Anna Torv. In only two episodes she fully sold me on her character, why she was important and went out with a bang (with one of the weirdest kiss scenes I can remember... urgh).
I'll be keeping an eye out on this one and fully expect it to keep on improving week, on week.
Vindland Saga - S2 (ep 1-3)
Tumblr media
I've been waiting patiently for the second season of Vinland Saga for years. The first season, has become one of my favorite seasons of any show (or anime) and Askeladd is probably my favorite villain (??) period. With that in mind season 2 has had a lot to live up to, but thankfully, the first 3 episodes have been fantastic.
I was made aware of the drastic tone shift from the prologue (to what now actually is the start of the manga) for a very long time, but honestly the story just flows. There has been no wild disconnect for me from season 1 to 2, whatsoever; yet the shift in character makeup (especially for Thorfinn) has been engrossing. Seeing the rage filled, revenge driven boy be turned into a shell of his formerself, completely devoid of want for life has been really powerful.
---SPOILERS---
The scene where Throfinn steps in for Einnar (to spare his life) and receive cut after cut without moving a muscle. Only because he wanted Einnar to get back to work, told us everything we needed to know where Thorfinn is mentally at this time.
---END SPOILERS---
I really hope the show continues as well as it has started, because this really could end up becoming one of the best stories I've ever had the pleasure of watching. ↓
Poker Face (ep 1-2)
Tumblr media
We all love a good mystery right? Poker Face (created by Rian Johnson of Knives Out fame) recently released as somewhat a modern homage to Columbo (a show my wife loves). If Poker Face could be half as good as Columbo we'd already be onto a winner and thankfully, two episodes in, it's already been a wild ride.
Led by the awesome Natasha Lyonne, we've already had: shootouts, murder, attempted murder, theories on theories, chases and the sexy Benjamin Bratt. What I've loved so far is how the show has chosen to essentially do a case per episode but also tie the episodes together by an overarching story (something I really hope continues).
Really looking forward to sitting down and taking in the next 2 episodes before the end of this week.
Lockwood & Co (ep 1-3)
Tumblr media
I'm so happy doomscrolling on Netflix at 11pm led us to this. Lockwood & Co is a throwback to my yesteryears when I used to watch a lot more of these 'teenage' british shows. It has a bit of Misfits, Being Human and even Ghostbusters thrown in for good measure.
Created by Joe Cornish (Attack the Block) and based on a book-series, we follow 3 ghost hunters in London, trying to figure out The Problem. It's the perfect blend of serious and whimsical, with a really easy to follow story that has enough mystery for you always wanting to know more. It's the characters though, from the reckless Lucy Carlisle, to the oddity that is George Karim and the mysterious Anthony Lockwood that really get you invested.
You know I'll probably be done with this by the end of the day and I cannot wait.

Tomorrow for this episode of whose life am I going to steal, Episode 3: I have chosen Hannah Pixie Snowden, who tries to date all musicians, she is really a man but I am actually a woman.
Her story is the girl with a dragon tattoo, she is German Dutch, an orphan but her family ran the orphanage and gave her government support and an apartment, she just had to sleep with them whenever they asked or they hurt her with energy attacks. The real Hannah killed herself in the bathtub after she was forced to blow her uncle/counselor.
And then I became her. Anyway her story is also illustrated in GIRLS. These girls would’ve been my roommates in NYC if I didn’t intervene and this would’ve been how their story played out. Hannah the chubby main character is her.
Hannah’s life gets twisted upside down when she winds up at a serial killers barn. I was investigating the story of a girl who went missing and I started taking pictures of the last known place of address. I was noticed by the serial killer family, the Addams family. And they sent one of them after me who was Daniel Craig in the movie.
He was both after me and trying to help me and we spent the whole movie pretending we weren’t aware of what the other was up to while I was secretly trying to run away from him.
And then the sex scene in the movie which was this, he was pushing me to sleep with him using some sort of gypsy trick which is you flick water at someone’s private parts. And it turns them on.
I noticed I was being hard pushed to sleep with him. At first I did not cater to it, because I was sure he was bad news bears, but then I just thought fuck it. Which was when quite an interesting moment ensued.
I woke up in the morning with no clothes on and I couldn’t find my clothes but it was because he had stolen them to do something to it. So I put on his shirt and started walking around. But then he freaked out about it, that I was wearing his shirt so then I just took it off and stood there naked which was embarrassing for him and his family because they were all watching me now because I had worn his shirt.
Anyway Daniel Craig has now become Benjamin McKenzie. I decided to use this Trisha as Journalist Trisha. And this one is running Vice News.

Doc Samson Synopsis
A synopsis for my Doc Samson Disney+ series idea Notes: -If anyone has any ideas regarding casting, please post them in the comments. -This takes place at the same time as She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (assuming you are willing to consider that show to be MCU canon).
Episode 1: Leonard Samson is called to testify in the trial of Tony Masterson, accused of murdering several people who supported the repeal of the Sokovia Accords. During Samson’s testimony, however, Masterson uses a supposedly unarmed gun to shoot him, along with security guard Craig Saunders, defense attorney Diane Davids, prosecutor Kyle Barker, and NYPD officer Benjamin Tibbets before he is shot and killed by NYPD detective Clay Quartermain. Samson is rushed to the hospital, where Dr. Angela Lipscombe unwittingly gives him blood synthesized from that of Bruce Banner. As a result, Samson is turned into a green-haired superhuman with greatly enhanced strength. Quartermain meets with Samson and Angela to discuss the shooting, and the three decide to work together to solve the mystery.
Mid-Credits Scene: General John Ryker visits Philip Sterns in prison, and offers him a way to take revenge on the man who put him in there.
Episode 2: While going over his sessions with Masterson, Samson discovers that Saunders was present each time, and that he gave Masterson orders on behalf of an unidentified source telling him to kill Samson, Davids, and Barker. Further investigation reveals that the gun Masterson used was armed by a woman impersonating a court clerk, and the same woman also disguised herself as a nurse and swapped a regular blood bag with the gamma-irradiated blood that Samson received. A gamma-mutated Sterns, calling himself Madman, goes on a rampage, only to be fought and defeated by Samson. Quartermain, believing there is a connection to Bruce Banner’s work, calls in ESU physics professor Dr. Walter Langowski and his teacher’s aide Delilah ‘Dee Dee’ Dearborn to help.
Mid-Credits Scene: Samson works on adapting to his new strength.
Episode 3: Quartermain arranges a meeting with Michael Berengetti, a retired mobster who claims to have information about the victims. Berengetti reveals that he was contacted about making sure Davids (who normally took mob-related cases) would be Masterson’s defense attorney, but before he can say who asked him to do so, he is killed by two of his underlings Jessie Harrison and Louis Lembert, both of whom have received gamma-derived powers. Samson, Quartermain, and Dee Dee are able to subdue Harrison and Lembert, and the two confess they were convinced to betray Berengetti by Dr. Karla Sofen, who is identified as the woman impersonating the court clerk and nurse.
Mid-Credits Scene: Sofen makes a recording in which she describes several “experiments” she conducted, including psychologically manipulating convicted criminal Lloyd Bloch into giving her an unusual gem he stole, which she refers to as a Moonstone.
Episode 4: Continuing their investigation into Saunders and Davids, the group finds out the former was involved in the same mission to capture Banner that led to Emil Blonsky becoming Enhanced. Samson recalls his part in the events leading up to the fight in Harlem, and the group discusses Ross’s potential involvement. A former colleague of Langowski arrives in New York and tries to kill him, taking on the form of the Wendigo to do so, but is stopped by Samson with aid from Langowski and Dee Dee. Though it is determined that Ross was not part of the conspiracy, it is revealed that Ryker was also involved with the project that created the Hulk and that he has similar ambitions to create super soldiers.
Mid-Credits Scene: Sofen decides that Ryker is getting in the way of her plans, and decides to get rid of him.
Episode 5: In order to make sure there are no loose ends, Samson and Quartermain go over footage from Masterson’s visits, and learn that Davids gave him the order to kill Saunders on Ryker’s behalf. The group accompanies the police to arrest Ryker, but are ambushed by the electrical monster Zzzax, and are forced to take it down. Meanwhile, Ryker confronts Sofen and accuses her of having her own agenda. Sofen fatally shoots Ryker, leaving behind enough evidence to expose his part in the conspiracy and other illicit activities before fleeing.
Mid-Credits Scene: The FBI is contacted about Ryker and Sofen, with instructions to not allow the Department of Damage Control to interfere, as a number of their higher-ranking staff are are under investigation for abuse of power, brutality, corruption, and/or similar crimes.
Episode 6: No longer held back by Ryker, Sofen bonds with the Moonstone and abducts Langowski and Dee Dee. Samson, Quartermain, and Angela rescue them, though not before both are exposed to gamma radiation. An enraged Sofen goes on a rampage, but is stopped by Samson, as the latter fully embraces his Enhanced status, and Sofen is taken into custody. During the following celebration, Samson calls Bruce to say hello and ask if he’d like to join him in catching up with Betty.
Post-Credits Scene 1: Samson and Dee Dee discuss what they’re going to do now that they are Enhanced, and Dee Dee reveals that she had an ulterior motive for meeting Samson—she suspects that the two of them have the same father.
Post-Credits Scene 2: Langowski, now possessing the ability to transform into a superstrong beast he calls Sasquatch, receives a call asking him to return to Canada and join a new team being formed there. He rudely declines.

Marilyn Monroe was sanctioned by the studios for having a romance that led to marriage with one of the most famous artists who stood up to the HUAC, the one and only Arthur Miller (pictured here behind Marilyn) she was also fined and sanctioned by Fox for her friendships with BIPOC women (which until the 1960s was a violation of the ethics clause of white people under contract to studios) and for being seen in public "unattended" with Black men (I guess that means without a white man guarding you). Her support of Black artists like Ella Fitzgerald is legendary. After her brief period of dating Marlon Brando they remained friends and she met with Brando multiple times to discuss using their power to increase opportunities for features seriously dealing with racism and economic injustice. She had by the end of her life become fascinated with the theoretical writings of Leon Trotsky, Jean-Paul Sartre, and Walter Benjamin.
Marilyn's decision to create a production company in 1954 was a direct influence on Henry Fonda making the decision to go outside the studio system to produce 12 ANGRY MEN with his own money. He cited having conversations with her as a chief reason he risked his own money (and studio wrath) to produce the film. Marilyn's decision was a direct inspiration for the legendary actresses of 1970s (Jane Fonda, Barbara Streisand, Goldie Hawn, Ellen Burstyn, Faye Dunaway, etc.) to take matters into their own hands and develop production companies to produce their own material.
You would not know ANY OF THIS from watching Andrew Dominick's torture porn exploitation film BLONDE. Marilyn Monroe was not a sad, lonely, confused victim she was a complicated, remarkably well-read, intellectually curious, resilient artist. Her early death whether the result of suicide, overdose or assassination remains a devastatingly tragic event in American popular culture.
Do yourself a favor and spend some time watching her films.
- Craig Harshaw
