[Matilda couldn’t help but pull a face, nothing was that simple; he probably just felt guilty] Oscar: What’re you two so obsessed with? [Oscar peered over Courtney’s shoulder with curiosity, squinting at the letter Matilda held so closely] Oscar: Whose writing it that? I think I need glasses. Matilda: Don’t be so nosy. Robin: Are you gonna write back? [Matilda jumped as Robin rounded the corner, the kid was a damned pro at sneaking up on folk. Quick as a flash, Oscar seized the opportunity and snatched the letter from her grasp, holding it out of reach like an annoying sibling] Matilda: What’re you, twelve?! Give it back! Oscar: T, eh? Dare I say this is from Tristen? Matilda: So, what if it is? Oscar: Nothing-.. interesting is all. Robin: You’re gonna reply, right? Courtney: She doesn’t have to, honey. Robin: I know, but-… Matilda: I’ll think about it. [Robin rolled his eyes; he had a feeling that she wouldn’t, despite wanting to-.. which was frustratingly stupid] Oscar: Oi, less of that. Robin: I didn’t say anything! Courtney: You didn’t have to. Oscar: Where’d he run off to-.. where’s it from? Matilda: Tartosa. Oscar: Tartosa? What the hell is he doing in Tartosa? [Robin sighed inwardly, retreating from the conversation; not that it did much good. Why were grown-ups so intent on making themselves unhappy out of stubborn pettiness-.. to prove a point no one actually cared about? If his father’s usual explanations were anything to go by, he supposed he’d understand as he got older; but for now, it didn’t make sense at all...]

prior to this, i actually never ate much meat - my go to for protein was nuts, hummus, peanut butter, and the occasional chicken or lamb curry dish. legit i just didnt eat or cook meat. so this sudden high protein diet to make up for the lack of carbs calories is probably making my stomach confused. i eat two sausages for breakfast now. its insane. pls let me eat gluten again soon ;_;
