Hyunjin was sleeping peacefully until his body somehow recognized the lack of your warmth next to his, his arms reaching out where your place is, hands in search for your familiar figure.
After some time as he rolled over to your side, his eyes opened and he realized you weren't in bed.
But your warmth and smell lingered, Hyunjin couldn't help it as he leaned into your pillow and took a whiff of your shampoo.
In his sleepy state, he smiled to himself before getting up in search of you.
A faint light was coming from the kitchen so he let it lead him to what he was looking for.
You were staring out the window with a cup in your hand, all wrapped up in Hyunjin's clothes.
"Hey." he said quietly, his voice still raspy from sleep and you turned around to take in the sight of your lover.
You stifled a giggle at his disheveled hair, his cute puffy face, the pout on his lips, his shirt somehow twisted and falling off of his shoulder.
"Hey." you smiled and he made his way to you, his arms wrapping around you as soon as they could, a kiss planted on your forehead.
"Why aren't you in bed, cuddling me?" he whines, leaning on you as he buries his face in your neck, swaying you both a little.
"I couldn't sleep." you chuckle, putting your cup on the windowsill so you can embrace Hyunjin properly.
"Still nervous about tomorrow?" he looks at you and you nod.
"My flower, there's nothing to be scared of." he shakes his head, caressing you gently.
"I know. It's just been so long since I've left the island and this is the only thing I've come to know. Being away from my garden and my shop will be unusual for me."
"Love, we'll only be gone for five days." Hyunjin cups your face and you chuckle.
"Ah, I know I'm being dramatic. I've been hanging out with you too much." you smirk and he giggles.
"And still it's never enough." he whispers as he leans down to kiss you gently. "Why don't you come back to bed?"
"Okay." you nod and let Hyunjin take you to your bed, where he pulls you into his comforting embrace.
You do manage to fall asleep after some time, your dreams still restless, intertwined with excitement of going to the city with Hyunjin by your side.
Even though it's not the first time you're going there, you know with him it'll be a completely different experience, the memories you make there together will replace anything negative both of your minds have conjured up about the city.
"Good morning, lover." you greet Hyunjin as he walks into the kitchen the next morning, looking even more disheveled than he did when he woke up last night.
"Morning, my flower. Did you make pancakes?" he skips towards you and you nod fervently.
"Wow, you made so many! How long have you been up?" he purses his lips, feigning annoyance.
"Just a few hours." you grimace.
"Y/n! You were supposed to get some rest for today." Hyunjin pouts, his arms wrapping around your middle as he holds you from behind, pulling you into his body.
"I'm well rested. I'm just too excited." you giggle when he playfully bites your shoulder, wiggling his eyebrows at you.
"You're adorable, you know that?" he kisses the skin he bit into.
"So you tell me all the time." you chuckle.
"And I'll continue saying it." he smirks.
"Okay, sweet talker, eat your breakfast, we have to leave soon." you add, tapping his hand as he makes a kissy face at you.
After rolling your eyes at him playfully, you plant a kiss on his lips.
As soon as the two of you finish breakfast and clean up, having already packed the day before there was nothing left to do but get ready and leave to the ferry.
Before you go down to the pier, you leave your key to Catherine, who was more than happy to come check on your garden while you were away.
"Have a safe trip, my lovebirds!" she calls behind you as you wave at her and Luna with smiles on your faces.
The ferry was already close when you arrived to the pier, and Hyunjin squeezed your hand as soon as he saw you shiver.
He leans in and kisses your cheek, calming your nerves without any words, cause that was sometimes enough.
Just a light touch of Hyunjin's presence was all you needed to know you're safe.
Stepping on the ship felt like a dream, one you've thought about many times.
Before you met Hyunjin, there were times you felt angry and lonely making you want to pack up and leave everything behind; the garden, the flowers, the shop, the entire island that seemed to bring you nothing but misery back then.
After he came into your life, the island seemed different too, it's as if you were looking at it from his point of view, a pair of fresh eyes that made you realize just how much beauty can be found in simple things; like the rocks on the beach, like the sunlight peeking through trees, like the very flowers that grow from the ground, like the smiling face of a loved one.
When he left without saying anything for the whole summer, you thought about running to him, your legs taking you down to the pier many times but you never set foot on the ship, you only watched people come out and go in.
Sometimes you thought you saw Hyunjin.
It only hurt more.
Your inability to leave the island behind, as you would stand there just watching the ship disappear further away from you, just like it did the day he left.
But the thought of trying to find Hyunjin in the big city only for him to turn away from you was equally as scary as the thought of him never coming back to you.
Thankfully, he came back and stayed.
And now, you were brave enough to venture out of your comfort zone only if he was there, walking by your side.
"Whatcha thinking about?" Hyunjin caresses your hand as the two of you sit down, the ship slowly beginning to move.
Your heart leaps out of your chest for a moment and you take a deep breath in.
"Just how happy I am." you smile at him.
"I'm happy too." he smiles sweetly, leaning in to kiss you gently.
You lean your head on his shoulder as your fingers entwine, palms pressed together.
The wind picks up as the ship catches speed and the loud sounds of the water splashing against the hull coupled with the deep hum of the ship fill up your ears.
Hyunjin brings your hand to his lips and kisses your skin.
You're still scared but you keep reminding yourself that Hyunjin is there with you so nothing can go wrong.
Time passes by as the two of you talk and enjoy the breeze before you decide to take a little walk around the deck.
Thoughts and memories are swirling in your mind, on the day you left the island when you got into university, thinking you're definitely never going to come back to live on the island.
"You okay?" Hyunjin asks as you stare off into the distance.
"Just reminiscing the last time I was leaving the island in this ship."
"And when was that?" he asks, his hand finding yours again as you lean on the railing and look out into the horizon.
"When I got into uni. Gosh, it feels like I was a different person back then. So naive, so giddy to be away from everything that made me who I am. I thought I was going to find myself in the big city, that I was going to run away from the things gnawing at me. I thought I was going to change my life around, have an amazing career, experience love. Have a perfect life. Away from the garden and my mother." you scoff. "I was so stupid."
"You weren't stupid, y/n. You were brave, you got out of your comfort zone and stepped into something completely unknown. You tried it and there is really nothing wrong with trying to find yourself." Hyunjin squeezes your hand.
"But I failed." for some reason your eyes become teary. "I was weak and couldn't take it."
"You didn't fail. You had to go back to the island because of your mother. She was sick and you came back to help her, that just shows how strong you are. Not many people could do that, watch their parent die. It's not something to be taken lightly but you were able to go through that. And look at you now." he smiles, kissing your cheek.
"Actually." you shake your head. "Can I tell you a secret? Well, it's not a secret. It's just embarassing and I never told this to anyone before."
"You can tell me anything, my flower." Hyunjin nods.
"I didn't come back here because of my mother. I came back two months before she fell ill." you swallow as Hyunjin listens intently. "I came back because my heart was broken, because I felt abandoned and I couldn't deal with it. I couldn't deal with the harshness of the city and the people at my university and the person I was dating. So I came back here and that's why I always think I am weak." you admit, a weight lifting off your chest as you take a deep breath in, waiting for Hyunjin to say something.
A single tear slides down your cheek before you turn to look at him and see the fond smile on his face.
"That again doesn't make you weak, my love. You recognized the toxicity of the situation and you left it before it could destroy you completely. You fled to the island just like I did. I didn't think of myself as weak, rather someone who wanted to find and keep their inner peace. That's why we're similar and why I understand what you did. Don't beat yourself up over that, I think it all turned out well now, don't you?" he chuckles, pinching your cheek for a moment and you let out a giggle.
"It did. Sorry I never told you this before."
"You told me now." he shakes his head with a smile before wrapping his arms around you and holding you.
"Hey, it's like Titanic!" Hyunjin exclaims suddenly and you laugh as he grabs your arms and lifts them up.
"I would never let you die in the freezing water." you quickly say as you look back at him.
"I know you wouldn't." he smiles before kissing you gently. "My rose." he adds, wiggling his eyebrows at you and you chuckle, smacking his chest.
Feeling elated, now you can't wait to finally arrive to the city.
-
The moment you step foot onto the city's pier, it's clear how different it is.
There are so many sounds, so many people rushing around you, so many cars in the distance, huge buildings creating a familiar skyline.
"I texted Elsie earlier so she will pick us up." Hyunjin announces as the two of you walk further away from the ship and towards the cars lined up and waiting.
"Okay." you nod.
Elsie was a friend of Hyunjin's who he left his gallery to tend to while he was on the island after the whole ordeal with Charlie.
You didn't know anything about her except that she went to the same academy as Hyunjin and was an artist herself, though she worked as an art critic more than a painter.
"There she is!" Hyunjin's face lights up as he waves and you follow his eyes until they landed on Elsie.
You gasp a little, never knowing just how beautiful she is, tall and slender, her hair long and shiny, her face like a model's, her clothes expensive.
She looked like a million bucks and you suddenly felt a pang of jealousy in your stomach.
Even now after all this time of being with Hyunjin, sometimes you'd wonder what he saw in you, your insecurities getting the best of you and almost convincing you that you're not worth it.
And now seeing this gorgeous woman hug Hyunjin, made you realize you could never compete with someone like her.
"Ah, my favorite artist is back!" Elsie taps Hyunjin's shoulder as he chuckles.
She turns to you as you stand awkwardly on the side, waiting for them to finish hugging.
"You must be y/n." she says, making her way to you and unexpectedly wrapping her arms around you.
"I'm so happy to finally meet you. Put a face to the name. Hyunjin yaps about you all the time, so much so that I couldn't wait to meet the woman who stole his heart." she leans back, smiling at you enthusiastically. "And I understand now. You're really beautiful and coupled with what he told me about you, you're the perfect match."
God, she's even nice.
"Oh." you blush. "Thank you."
"Let's go then, I'll drive you two lovebirds to the gallery." she motions for you to pile your bags into the car, before both of you sit in the back.
Night starts falling over the bustling city, but it's not turning it into contemplative quietness like on the island, quite the opposite actually.
At night time, the city seems even more alive.
As Elsie starts driving, her and Hyunjin fall into conversation, reminiscing of memories you aren't a part of, you opt to stare out the window.
The flurry of lights pass you by, so many cars speeding up next to yours, people on the street acting like it's the middle of the day as they walk around, dressed flashy and probably going to some party as they laugh and hug, some house music pumping through the car's speakers; so many overwhelming things that they hurt your brain and you close your eyes.
Hyunjin notices and grabs your hand.
"We're almost there." he whispers and you nod, looking at him briefly before turning your attention back to the outside world.
You almost get so lost in your thoughts that you don't even notice the car had stopped and Elsie opened your door.
"We're here." she chuckles as you come to your senses and finally get out of the car, seeing Hyunjin taking out your bags.
You stare up at the huge building where Hyunjin's gallery resides in, his apartment now only a few floors above it.
"Well, I'm sure you two want some time alone. But please, hit me up this week, I soooo need to take you both out to dinner and pick your brains." she says before tapping Hyunjin's cheek and waving at you.
You can't help the jealousy that tugs at your heart strings.
You had no idea how close they were and it seemed to you now that they were pretty chummy and he never told you about it.
You'd never doubt Hyunjin's devotion to you, but sadly you always doubt yourself.
"Is something wrong, my love?" Hyunjin asks as you stop in front of the entrance to the building.
"No, everything's fine." you force a smile and Hyunjin squints his eyes at you, not believing it for a moment.
"I'm just tired." you say as Hyunjin swipes his card and the door buzzes.
"Well, the bed in the apartment is very cozy." he smirks at you, wiggling his eyebrows and you let out a little chuckle.
"You wanna go there first or the gallery?" he adds as you walk into the elevator.
"I really wanna see the gallery." you smile and he nods, clicking the button as the elevator doors close.
You're quiet, trying to come up with a way to ask Hyunjin about Elsie but you're not even sure what you are trying to find out.
"Here we go." Hyunjin leads you to a big glass door before he puts in a combination and you hear a click, signalling that the door is unlocked.
As soon as you walk in and Hyunjin turns the lights on, a gasp leaves your lips.
Yes, you've seen some pictures of the gallery but actually being inside it, seeing Hyunjin's works of art hung all over the walls, hours of his hard work on display for people to admire, his heart on the canvas in shapes of flowers and you, filled you up with warmth and love.
"So, what do you think?" he asks, wrapping his arms around you, his lips on your neck.
"It's beautiful, Jinnie."
"Mhm, I like it even better now that you're here, flower. You're the most beautiful work of art amongst all of them. But only for me to look at." Hyunjin smirks into your skin before nipping at your sensitive spot.
Before you can melt into his embrace completely, you need to get one thing out of the way; Elsie.
"So, how close are you and Elsie?" you slide out of Hyunjin's arms and pretend to look at one of the paintings more closely.
He smirks behind you, knowing exactly why you're asking that.
"Is my sweet rose jealous?" he almost skips towards you with a goofy smile on his face and you can't even pretend to be mad at him.
"No." he narrows his eyes at you. "Yes." you sigh.
"Oh, y/n." Hyunjin chuckles before grabbing your face. "You do know that you're the only woman that exists to me? Elsie is like a sister to me. We're close like that, nothing else. She also has an amazing husband who she's been dating for years, and we're probably going to meet them for a double date at least once this week. You've nothing to be jealous about, I'm only yours." he talks, leaving gentle kisses on your face.
A sigh escapes your lips.
"I know, I'm not doubting you. I just get insecure. I'm sorry I'm like this, always ruining everything." your eyes water.
"You didn't ruin anything, my love." Hyunjin smiles gently at you before leaning in to kiss you again. "You could never. You can only make everything more beautiful." he says between kisses and you slowly start melting.
"You're so biased." you chuckle against him.
"So be it." he whispers before devouring your lips, his hands gripping your waist and pressing your body against his.
"Baby, are there cameras here?" you chuckle when he starts kissing your neck, your fingers tangled in his hair, playing with the ends of it.
"Yeah." he licks at your skin before sinking his teeth in.
"J-Jinnie, someone will see." you gasp, gripping onto him as he sucks a love bite into your skin.
"No, they won't, I already made sure they turned them off for the night." he smirks before leaving kisses on your collarbone.
"So, you planned to seduce me in here?" you chuckle as he presses you into the wall, right next to a painting of you.
"Damn, you caught me." he jokes and both of you chuckle.
"In all seriousness, you know I love you forever, right?" his eyes become big, sweet, full of emotion as they search yours.
"I know, Jinnie. I love you forever too." you smile and kiss him, the sweet and innocent kiss escalating slowly into a more passionate one, tongues clashing into each other as Hyunjin leads you to the couch in the middle of the gallery.
It looks expensive and has two sides, one turned towards the art pieces and one looking towards the city, the huge glass windows with all the buildings on display, the lights in the distance twinkling like stars, promising something good to whoever stares at them for long enough.
You think he's gonna lay you down on it but instead he makes you stand in front of it, the side overlooking the city, before he slowly kneels down.
"My muse." his hands roam on your thighs, sliding under your dress before he bunches it up above your panties.
Your breath gets caught in your throat as Hyunjin leans in, kissing your clothed clit and taking a deep breath of you in, his eyes fluttering shut, cheeks rosy instantly.
He grips your leg and hooks it on his shoulder before leaning in again, and your pussy clenches around nothing as his breath hits your warmness.
You grab onto his hair for leverage and he whines into you, pushing your panties to the side and burying his tongue inside you.
He laps you up, always hungry for more, never tired of tasting your sweet juices on his tongue as he holds you steady, gripping your ass as you shiver and grind gently against him.
"H-Hyunjin!" you whimper when he sucks on your clit before diving back between your folds, pushing as deep as he could, his tongue moving inside you wildly.
You look up from his flushed face and dark eyes to see the city before you, feeling like every single soul that was awake could see you now, see how you were falling apart just from your lover's tongue and it made you even more wet thinking about it.
Gripping his hair harder, you fuck yourself against his lips and nose and Hyunjin whines into you, letting you use him for your pleasure as your high pitched moans echo off the walls of the gallery.
You throw your head back, gasping when you notice the huge mural painted on the ceiling, you and Hyunjin together in a garden full of blooming flowers, making love to each other, the petals hiding your private parts.
"Fuck!" you whimper, grinding against him faster before the coil snaps and you explode all over his face.
"Mm." Hyunjin moans into you, licking your juices up as he smirks.
"I take it you like my main piece." he leans back with a satisfied smile, his tongue darting out to lick at the droplets of your pleasure all around his lips.
"I- I'm speechless." you gasp, your ears ringing as you come down from your high, still looking up at the ceiling.
Hyunjin stands up and grabs your chin gently making you look down at him.
"Me too." he kisses you hungrily and soon both of you stumble but Hyunjin catches you as he smirks and grabs your hands.
"What are you doing?" you chuckle confusedly as he takes you over to the other side of the couch, the one turned towards the paintings.
"I want you to have a pretty view of the city." he says and before you can ask what he means, he pushes you down onto your knees, bending you over the backrest and making you look towards the huge glass windows.
"Oh." you whimper when his fingers slide against your wet folds, his other hand freeing his length out of his pants before he replaces fingers with his cock.
"My lovely muse." he whines as he pushes in and you grip onto the backrest, gasping as he slides in easily. "My only rose. I love you so much." he pushes his entire length into you, taking your breath away.
"I love you so much, Jinnie." you moan as he hovers over you, fucking you slowly.
Your eyes roll back, fluttering shut as the familiar stretch of him burns a little, giving way to pleasure as he keeps dragging his cock against your velvety walls faster, making you wetter by the second.
His hands roam freely on your body, wrapping around you to cup your breasts and you arch your back, chasing his touch.
Hyunjin groans when he sees you like that, his hips pounding into you faster as you kneel and take it.
"You're clenching so much around me, my flower. Let go for me." he fucks you harder as you keep whimpering, your eyes opening to stare out the window, all the lights becoming blurry as pleasure starts overtaking you.
"Ah, J-Jinnie!" you moan loudly as you let go, cumming around his cock and he grips onto you, his hips snapping against you while you count all the stars, your body shaking under him.
"Y/n!" he moans you name out as he spills inside you, riding his high and filling you up with his warm liquid.
Hyunjin pulls out of you, collapsing onto the couch and pulling you against his body as he wraps his arms around you.
Your breathing is heavy as you hold onto him, nuzzling as close as you can and you look up at the ceiling again as he giggles.
"When did you paint that?" you ask.
"The first time I had to leave after we opened up our gallery in Isaac's house." he answers and you look at him.
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"I wanted to surprise you when you come here. I'm glad I never told you to look up. You did it just in the right moment." he teases with a smirk and you giggle, biting into his arm and making him yelp before he laughs at you adoringly.
"Why don't we go upstairs and wash up? Are you hungry?" he asks.
"A little bit." you nod as you sit up.
"We can order, I don't really have groceries here." Hyunjin chuckles and you nod, kissing him shortly before you get up and make your way up to the apartment.
It's a small one bedroom apartment, enough for when Hyunjin comes here alone to promote his new work or the works of a fellow artist who he represents.
You can see it's not too lived in but there is a touch of Hyunjin to it, as well as a touch of you.
Noticing photographs of the two of you together framed on the shelf makes your heart warm up as you smile.
"I look at them when I miss you." he pouts, giving you a quick peck.
"You're cute." you giggle.
"I know." he scrunches up his face and you laugh.
You leave for the bathroom first, stripping before you step into the shower, adjusting the water while Hyunjin orders some food.
He joins in shortly, throwing his clothes haphazardly on the floor just so he can jump in as quickly as possible.
You squeak when his cold hands grip onto you and he chuckles.
"Sorry, baby." he says, still he presses himself into your warmed up body.
"Cold." you gasp a little as he buries his face into your neck.
"You know, I read that transferring body heat helps warm you up quicker so I have to stick to you like this. You don't want me to die from the cold, right?"
"You will not die." you roll your eyes playfully, still your arms wrap around him to keep him close to you.
The shower turns more into a fun time than a regular shower as you wash each other's hair and sing a duet, your giggles echoing in the small space.
After getting dry and warmed up, the food arrives and you eat in Hyunjin's living room, again the view feels huge as you scan the buildings.
"Would you ever wanna live here again?" you ask as the two of you eat, sitting close to each other.
"My honest answer? No. I love being on the island with you, it feels more like a home than any other place I lived in. I got used to the limited space there, like here everything seems so big and so wide, like you can go anywhere and do anything. When in reality it is not like that. The island might be small, but every single part of it is beautiful and filled with memories. I wouldn't trade that for anything." Hyunjin smiles wistfully.
"But, if you want to move here I would for you." he adds, his hand on your knee as he caresses you gently.
"That's sweet, Jinnie but I think the city is too much for me. I don't mind visiting, but I love being on the island. It's comforting and familiar, and I love having you there." you smile.
"Mhm then you wanna keep me there forever, right?" he leans in closer as you finish eating.
"Yes." you chuckle.
"I don't mind being your prisoner forever." he shakes his head with a cute smile and you laugh, carding your hand through his hair as he plops his face into your chest.
"Is that how you feel? Imprisoned?" you tease and he whines into you.
"That is not what I meant! I was trying to be romantic like you stole my heart forever and now I can't go anywhere-"
"Okay, okay, I get it, I was just teasing you a bit." you smirk, making him whine again as he nuzzles his face between your breasts.
"Cuddle me." he pushes his body closer to yours and you wrap your arms around him, merging your bodies together in the warmness of the small apartment.
You go to bed shortly, excited to explore the city, experience something new with the one you love; the jitters making you shiver in anticipation for tomorrow.
But for now, you relish in the sweet and familiar feeling of tangling up with Hyunjin under the sheets as he holds you close to his loving heart.
As you open your eyes the next morning, you panicked for a second, not recognizing your surroundings until you remembered that you came to the city with Hyunjin, and are now laying on his chest safely.
Taking a deep breath in, you look up at him and instantly melt when you see his messy hair and cute sleepy face as he still dreams about who knows what.
You bury your face in his neck, kissing his soft skin gently, getting yourself worked up just from his warmth and his familiar comforting scent.
He doesn't wake up immediately, not until you bite into his skin, sucking on it and creating a pretty mark on your lover.
"Mm... Darling." he groans, his voice deep and laced with sleep.
You continue kissing him, thankful that he slept shirtless as your lips traveled down to his collarbone and chest.
"What are you up to?" he chuckles as you keep kissing lower, a tent appearing in his boxers as his cock strains against the material.
"Nothing." you wink, your lips now closer to his middle.
"Really?" he tries to sit up but you lift up quickly, grabbing his wrists and he lets you pin his hands on either sides of his head.
You throw your leg over him, pressing your core against his hardness and he gasps quietly, his hips lifting up towards you already.
"You said that you're my prisoner." you say and he smirks, letting out a little giggle.
"I am." he nods.
"Then just stay like that and let me do what I want with you."
"Of course, my flower." he smiles as you lean down to kiss him before returning back to your original position.
You lay your hand on his bulge and squeeze slightly before you start palming him.
"Mm, y/n. My love." he whines, pushing up into you and you smirk, leaning in to kiss him through his boxers, noticing a little wet patch appearing on them.
Your fingers circle his head and he whimpers, almost begging you to remove the obnoxious fabric as he grips onto the sheets below him.
You give him a little smirk before you bite into his inner thigh, making him jolt and moan, his cock twitching under your hand.
Deciding you were done teasing him for now, you hook your fingers in his boxers and slide them off, his leaky cock slapping his abs as you free him.
Hyunjin's eyes become darker as you lick at his tip, lapping up the pre-cum before you give him a little kiss. He observes you as you start leaving kisses on his cock, teasing him with the gentleness of your lips, pressing them into his vein, your tongue darting out to lick at his length a few times, all the way down to his balls.
"Trying to kill me?" he pants and you giggle before lifting up.
"A little." you smile before leaning in towards his tip again, swirling your tongue around him as you take him into your mouth, sucking lightly.
"F-flower, ah!" Hyunjin's fingers tangle in your hair as you tease him, the tip of your tongue playing with his sensitive underside and dipping into his slit.
His patience starts to run low, he's more desperate and sensitive than usually in the morning, and he wanted to feel you wrapped around him.
His fingers gripped your hair harder, quiet moans escaping his lips and you let him push you down a little as you took more of him in.
Gripping his thighs, you started to bob your head up and down, your eyes fluttering closed as you savored the taste of him.
Hyunjin shivers, keeping his eyes on you, your pretty lips wrapped around him, taking him in so well, always so sweet and so giving for him.
"Fuck!" he groans when you squeeze his balls, looking up at him sweetly as you continue your ministrations, taking more of his length in until his tip hit the back of your throat, making you gag a little.
"Be careful, flower." he smirks a little, teasing you, he knows you love when he fills you up like that.
You hum around him, sending vibrations through his core and making him twitch as you keep sucking on him like your life depended on it.
The more you sped up, twisting your tongue at the top, massaging his balls in tandem with your mouth, the more desperate he became.
His legs started shaking, he was a babbling mess as he started fucking up into you, meeting your movements while you gagged on his length.
"C-close!" he whimpers and you speed up, determined to make him explode in your mouth.
He repeats your name like a prayer, louder and louder until he finally twitches inside you, spurts of his warm cum painting your throat as you keep swallowing everything he gives you.
"Wow." he gasps as you lift up, making you chuckle.
"Was it good?" you tease and he laughs breathlessly.
"Perfect." he says, his hands gripping at your hips as he brings you closer to him.
"We should get up." you warn and he lets out an incredulous laugh, throwing his head back, his hair splayed cutely around his head on the pillow.
"You think I'm gonna let you get up without returning the favor?"
"Oh, that." you giggle.
"Yeah, that." he pinches your ass, making you jolt and squeal before he hooks his fingers in your panties so you lift up a little, helping him take them off.
"Aren't you and Elsie meeting with some clients?"
"They can all wait. My beautiful girlfriend needs me." he smirks, his fingers sliding against your wet folds.
"H-Hyunjin." you moan.
"Come up here." he motions towards his face and you blush profusely.
You've always been a little embarassed about sitting on his face, feeling awkward to do so but Hyunjin assured you every time that he loved it.
"Are you sure?" you ask.
"Positive." he smiles as he holds your hand, bringing your palm to his lips.
"Okay." you whisper, scooting closer to his face before you hover over him.
"Relax, my love." his arms slide around you, gripping your ass and slowly pulling you down closer to his face.
You close your eyes, grabbing at the headboard as his tongue swipes over your folds a few times making you clench around nothing.
His lips wrap around your clit and he sucks, making your legs shake and squeeze around him.
Hyunjin moans into you, flattening his tongue and slowly moving you against it as he grips onto you.
Your mind becomes dizzy quickly and you start moving on your own, grinding against his tongue and nose languidly as more arousal keeps dripping down onto Hyunjin's face.
His eyes flutter closed and all the embarassment you feel keeps being replaced with the growing pleasure inside you as you keep fucking his face.
His hands massage your ass as he keeps moving you against him, so you move faster as you keep holding onto the headboard for dear life.
Your moans become louder and louder as Hyunjin pushes his tongue into you and starts moving it, tasting you and playing with you, swallowing all your wetness.
"J-Jinnie!" you whimper loudly, your thighs pressing around his head as you snap, spilling all over his lips and face.
His nails dig into your flesh as he holds you down, lapping your juices up and your body trembles from overstimulation as you try to move away.
Hyunjin doesn't let up until he cleans you up, his face flushed and wet when you move away.
"Sorry, w-was that okay?" you feel the embarassment seep in again as he looks at you wildly.
"Baby, I don't think we're leaving the bed yet." he smirks and before you can protest he's already grabbing your waist and pulling you down as you squeal.
Hyunjin has been sitting in the meeting room for almost an hour, constantly glancing at the clock, his mind only on returning to you.
He had promised to take you out on lunch but the people participating in the event had so many ideas to discuss that the meeting just kept dragging on.
His leg kept bouncing up and down as he bit on his lip and nodded at the man sitting before him.
"You're creating an earthquake, Hyun." Elsie leans into Hyunjin's ear.
"Oh. Sorry." he chuckles quietly.
"I know you wanna go back to your darling as soon as possible so try to concentrate now and we'll be done sooner." she reminds him and Hyunjin nods, quickly getting himself together, getting back into the groove of the discussion.
As Elsie predicted, the meeting ended succesfully and quickly after that, the event was all but ready minus a few minor details.
After they saw the clients out, Hyunjin turned to Elsie with his eyes big, his hands clasped together in a pleading position.
"Oh I know that face. What is it now?" Elsie chuckles, knowing he's about to beg her for help.
"I need you to do something for me and y/n can't find out. Will you please?"
"As long as it's legal, of course. Eh, who am I kidding, I'd probably help you hide a body if it came to that." Elsie jokes and Hyunjin laughs.
"Thank you, you're a life saver!"
-
"I'm sorry I'm late!" Hyunjin runs into the apartment, finding you in the living room, reading your book.
"Oh, no it's okay. I was entertained." you smile, waving your book shortly and Hyunjin chuckles breathlessly before skipping towards you and leaning down to press a few sweet kisses to your lips.
"Are you hungry?" he asks and you nod.
"Yes, I'm ready to eat."
"Okay, well there is this restaurant here that I used to go to a lot and the food is amazing so I wanna take you there." he says excitedly.
"Should I dress fancy?" you get up and Hyunjin chuckles, his arms wrapping around your waist as he brings you closer to him.
"It's not too fancy." he answers, kissing your jaw.
"Alright, casual fancy." both of you chuckle as you leave to get ready.
Hyunjin paces the living room while he waits, thinking of his request for Elsie.
A wave of excitement and fear runs through his body, giving him happy jitters.
You walk out of the bedroom after some time and Hyunjin's eyes soften as soon as they land on you.
"You look beautiful."
"Thanks, lover. You too." you smile as he leans in to kiss you.
Hyunjin takes his camera, ready to capture the beautiful memories the two of you are about to create in the city.
Your afternoon is filled with new sights, completely different than your little island, where you know every nook and cranny, every piece of earth your feet have touched, every detail of it so dear to your heart and so deeply etched into your mind that you could walk it blind.
It's exciting, the restaurant, the huge buildings, the flashing lights, the people, the city never sleeps, it's the same during the day and the night.
Hyunjin snaps so many pictures that you've lost count of them, his cute happy face making your heart beat faster.
But the excitement slowly starts turning into exhaustion as you keep venturing further into the heart of the city.
Hyunjin, always so perceptive when it comes to you, notices your sudden quietness so he takes your hand and slowly leads you away from the crowd to a park near by.
You find a somewhat quiet bench, some guy playing the guitar and singing not too far away, creating a romantic atmosphere as the two of you sit down.
The sun is already almost gone behind the horizon as your eyes roam around the sky, the beautiful swirls of purple and pink giving way to the darkness slowly creeping in.
Hyunjin wraps his arm around your shoulder, bringing you into him.
"Are you having fun?" he asks with a smile.
"Mhm. I am."
"Love, you can tell me if you're not. I'll call a cab to take us to the apartment immediately."
"No, no, I'm enjoying being outside. It's just that we saw so much today so I'm processing it." you chuckle and Hyunjin giggles.
"Sorry for dragging you everywhere." he smiles sheepishly and you lean in to kiss his cute dimple.
"It's fine. You're so cute when you get excited. And it's only fair that you show me everything as the designated tour guide." you tease.
Hyunjin laughs, briefly reminiscing how you were the tour guide on the island, showing him all the places you found beautiful.
"Let me take you to one last place and then we're done, I promise."
"Lead the way." you smile and after a 20 minute walk, Hyunjin and you arrive in front of a huge building.
"What is it?" you ask.
"You'll see." he leads you behind the building, holding your hand as you walk together.
The back of the building is almost all glass but what captures your attention the most is an exhibit of different art installations.
You lean in to look closer as Hyunjin stands next to you.
"This is the academy I attended." he starts and you look at him.
"Oh." you gasp.
"This is where I spent so much time being scrutinized for every little detail in my art. In a way I'm thankful cause I learned so much. But I often asked myself what was the purpose and at what cost? It almost crushed my soul, and all for that-" he motions towards a painting on the wall, one of a face you don't recognize, "to be on display for everyone."
You may not recognize the face but you recognize Hyunjin's brush strokes.
"I hate that painting." he says quietly.
"Who is that?" you ask.
"Nobody. I made him up in my mind. He's just a no one." Hyunjin's shoulders tense and you're quick to put your hand on his back, gently caressing him to soothe him.
It works instantly as he melts into your touch.
"I-I'm sorry. I don't wanna ruin the mood, I just wanted to show you where I spent lots of time. I sat there a lot." he turns to point at one of the outdoor tables. "Would doodle in my little sketchbook. I made the dumbest drawings in those, just to have some kind of outlet where I could feel like I was in charge, not just doing something that someone else told me to."
"So it was like a diary. Like mine." you remember showing him your sketchbooks when you just met. "You never showed me those."
"My mother found them and she threw them away." he sighs sadly and you lean on him.
"I'm sorry." you whisper.
"It's okay, it's in the past plus I can paint whatever I want now." he smiles and leans in to kiss you gently.
Sharing a kiss with you right in front of the academy feels surreal to Hyunjin, especially when he looks back at it with a pinch of bitterness, remembering the sleepless nights and his mother's sinister words.
"I'm glad we did this." Hyunjin squeezes your hand as you sit in the back of the cab.
"Me too. You gave me a new perspective on the city."
"Yeah, I think we created some nice memories here. It feels better." he agrees.
"Definitely does." you nod.
The next day, Hyunjin took you to another restaurant which was a bit more fancy, something you've never experienced before, making you feel a bit awkward.
Elsie and her husband Peter were already waiting at one of the tables, Elsie waving enthusiastically as soon as she spotted the two of you.
She hugged both of you and after shaking Peter's hand, you sat down and took in the view.
The restaurant was in a building, high up and looking over the city, making all the buildings, cars and people look like Lego pieces from up here.
Most of the food you couldn't even pronounce but Hyunjin was there to recommend you something tasty.
You thought it was going to be an awkward evening, but Elsie and Peter were both nice and you could see how Hyunjin was relaxed with them, having known them for years.
The conversation was light and fun, the food delicious and the wine was wonderful, creating a nice atmosphere around your little table.
Later in the evening, Elsie leaned in closer to you while Hyunjin and Peter conversed.
"I'm so glad Hyunjin decided to take a break on the island." she says.
"That makes two of us." you smile at her.
"He was different before he met you. Well, before he fell in love with you. I really thought he'd never find himself again, I was scared for him. He's really like the brother I never had and seeing him this happy with you makes me so excited for the two of you." your eyes almost tear up at her sincerity.
"Oh thank you, that's really nice of you, Elsie."
"Are y'all talking about me?" Hyunjin smirks.
"Always." you smirk back at him as he rolls his eyes playfully.
Falling back into the conversation, Elsie and Hyunjin start reminiscing their academy days, and hearing how he would sneak out to party just to spite his mother, things he did and said then was like a new side of him you've never known.
He told you a bit about it all before, but Elsie was determined to embarass him, at least a little.
"Remember that time you got so drunk and I had to drive you home? You puked all over my car." she laughs.
"It's not funny." Hyunjin blushes immediately, glancing at you shortly.
"It totally was. You were speaking nonsense. Ah, those parties were crazy. Remember that time we played truth or dare?"
"I do. Sadly." Hyunjin grimaces as you lean in curiously.
"It was nothing but we kissed." Elsie says and even though she already said she sees him like a brother, you felt a little weird that he never mentioned that.
"Ew. It was like I was kissing my sister." Hyunjin makes a disgusted face and she laughs.
"Would not do that again." she chuckles, before looking back at you. "I hope that didn't bother you."
"No, no, it was in the past." you say, a small smile on your face, but Elsie could see it was forced.
"Oh for god's sake!" she grabs your face and your eyes widen, before you can even say something she presses her lips into yours, kissing you shortly before leaning back, leaving you shocked.
"There. I kissed you both, now it's even." her husband laughs, shaking his head as Hyunjin rolls his eyes with a smile, his arm wrapping around you.
"Please, never do that again." he narrows his eyes at Elsie as she lifts her hands up in surrender.
"Thought it'd be fun. Sorry if it was too much, y/n."
"It's- it's fine." you chuckle quietly, feeling a bit embarassed about the whole situation.
The rest of the evening is uneventful and as soon as you arrive to the apartment, Hyunjin's hands and lips are on you.
"I can't believe she kissed you." he chuckles, his lips on your cheeks, his hands roaming on your hips and waist.
"She's a bit... extroverted?" you grimace, making Hyunjin laugh.
"You can say crazy. Cause she is. This is nothing compared to what she usually does, I think she was trying not to make you feel awkward. Which I appreciate, but I still didn't like that she kissed you. Your lips are mine only." Hyunjin cups your face, kissing you before you could even respond.
And he keeps kissing you as he slowly leads you to the bed, both of you falling down on it and never breaking the kiss.
Even though his exhibit was tomorrow, neither Hyunjin nor you got too much sleep, instead your time was spent in each other's embrace, your bodies moving lovingly into one another.
-
You're sleeping on your stomach when you feel Hyunjin's breath on your neck.
His hand lands on your waist, caressing you gently as his lips start traveling down your spine.
You flutter your eyes slowly before opening them and looking out the window.
From your position, you're looking right at the blue sunny sky, a few clouds floating by.
It's quiet and peaceful as Hyunjin keeps showering you with gentle kisses, his lips on your back, your shoulder, your neck and your arm.
He peeks at you and you giggle, making him giggle too before he brings his middle closer to you and you feel his hardness press against you.
"Again?" you chuckle in amusement, after last night's multiple rounds you had no idea how he still wanted you.
"What else do you expect, my flower? When you're so beautiful and loving, I need you close to me always." he caresses your hair, his lips on your neck as he slowly grinds into your backside.
"J-Jinnie. My love." you whimper when his cock slips between your thighs, grinding against your wet pussy.
"Stay like that." he grabs his cock and pushes into you easily, making you moan as you arch your back a little.
"I love you so much." he whispers into your ear as his arms wrap around you, his hips moving into you.
"I love you so much, Jinnie." you echo, grabbing his hand and entwining your fingers with his.
Hyunjin groans lowly into your ear, getting you more wet as his cock slips in and out of you, not giving you his entire length in this position but it's still a nice, satisfying stretch.
His hand releases yours to cup your breast and play with your nipple as you whimper, gripping at the bed while he moves a bit faster.
"You're mine forever, my love." Hyunjin holds you closer still, his hand traveling down over your stomach to your clit as he starts playing with it.
"Only yours." you moan out, your high building up.
Pictures start appearing in Hyunjin's mind, the two of you like this, always and forever, and his thoughts start racing, suddenly imagining something he never really let himself think about before.
His face and ears feel hot, followed by his body burning up and the wave of hotness rushes down into his already hard cock.
His heart starts beating fast as he imagines you carrying his child, the two of you bound together forever, creating something purely out of love.
"Fuck!" he curses, unexpectedly cumming before you as you gasp at the feeling of him filling you up.
"I'm sorry." he squeezes your thigh and you turn around to look at him, seeing his face is completely red, his forehead sweaty and his eyebrows twisted like he's struggling.
"Are you okay?" you reach out to touch his cheek and he melts into you.
"Yeah. Let me finish what I started." he chuckles sheepishly and you giggle as his fingers slide on your folds, gathering his cum and pushing it back in.
Your eyes flutter as you look at him and he wonders if you ever thought about that but for some reason he feels too shy to ask, scared to break the moment as he brings you closer to your edge.
"H-Hyunjin, so good." you whimper.
"Feels good, love?" he smirks, fucking into your sweet spot, making you feel like you're floating.
"Mhm, harder please." you grip onto him and he obliges, fucking into you harder until you squirt all over his hand.
The way he looks at you after, his lips opening and closing a few times makes you chuckle, your head tilting in curiosity.
"What is it, lover?" you sit up, carding your fingers through his hair.
"Nothing. I just love you more than anything." he smiles, making you melt on the spot.
"I love you more than anything too."
-
Despite your protests, Hyunjin takes you shopping after breakfast.
You kept telling him you didn't need anything, that you had everything you wanted and more but he kept reassuring you that it would be fun to walk around the shops and try on clothes, buy some new painting supples while you're at it.
And he was right, it was fun.
Hyunjin decided to find the silliest outfits and make a fool out of himself just to make you laugh.
He also brought you a few dresses to try on, lifting up a pair of lacy underwear too.
"Put that back." you smack his arm as people passed by you, your face becoming red.
"For the record, I think you'd look amazing in it." he smiles cheekily.
"Oh, would I?" you smirk.
"Definitely." he ushers you towards the changing rooms and of course follows you in.
"What are you doing?" you chuckle, putting the dresses aside.
"Helping you out." he smiles behind you, feigning innocence as you look at his reflection in the mirror.
"Mhm. Right. Go wait outside." you say and he pouts.
"I thought you loved me." he teases, sighing dramatically.
"Hyunjin." you narrow your eyes at him, not wanting to be thrown out of a fancy shop because the two of you couldn't keep your hands to yourselves.
"Fineeee." he whines, walking out so you can change.
"What about this one?" you walk out after trying on the last dress.
"It's perfect." he says, a lovesick smile on his face.
"You said that about every single one of them." you laugh.
"Well, because you're wearing them! We'll get all of them." he says and you quickly protest.
"No, please don't spend so much on me."
"Who else would I spend it on?" he says softly, caressing your face as he stands in front of you.
"But-"
"Please, let me do this. I wanna spoil you a little since we're here. It really makes me happy to do that."
"Okay." you give in as he looks at you with puppy eyes and pouty lips.
You kiss him before changing back into your clothes, then making your way to the cash register.
After paying for the dresses you make your way out, the amount of money makes your head spin but Hyunjin really seemed happy to do that, and it made you curious as to why he was so adamant about showering you with gifts when the both of you were into more simpler things, like cooking dinner together or a walk on the sunny beach.
After Hyunjin splurged on new painting supplies, you sat down in a cute café, ordering some cakes and coffee.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Hyunjin chuckles.
"Oh. I was just curious as to why you wanted to buy all those dresses for me. You know I'm happy when you're just next to me. That's the greatest gift to me, Jinnie."
"I know." he softens, taking your hand in his. "It's just what I always imagined when we come to the city. Taking you out shopping, it just goes well with the vibe here and it's not something we can do on the island. It's okay really, I don't care about the price, I'm just glad you found something you like." he adds the last part as you chew on your lip, not used to getting those kinds of gifts.
"Thank you, Jinnie."
"You don't have to thank me." he smiles, kissing your hand.
The door chimes, signaling a new customer coming in and as Hyunjin glances towards the door, you see his face contort.
His eyes widen, his lips pressing together before he frowns.
You look towards the door, staring at the couple who came in until realization dawns on you.
"Shit." Hyunjin curses under his breath, looking down at the table, boring holes into his half eaten pastry.
"Is that-"
"It is. I should've known. They used to bring me here a lot when I was younger." he says quietly, praying to whatever that they don't look this way but life usually does the exact opposite.
"They saw us." you say and Hyunjin's hand immediately flies to touch you, fingers squeezing around yours.
"Are they coming here?" he asks, his voice small and insecure.
You see his mother stare at him, her face that of a shock before going back to the cold expression she wore before. His father seemed to want to come closer but you could see how she held him back.
Her eyes then traveled to you and you mustered up the most murderous stare you could, throwing daggers at her with your eyes and she looked away, lifting her chin up like it was none of her business.
"They're... not." you squeeze Hyunjin's hand and he scoffs.
"Please, let's leave." his voice breaks along with your heart as you watch his eyes fill with tears.
"Of course." you quickly stand up, gathering your shopping bags, thankful you already paid as the two of you made your way to the exit as fast as possible.
Hyunjin is quiet the whole ride to the apartment, you can see him swallowing tears as he avoids looking at you.
You reach out to touch his hand and he moves it away.
"Don't." he whispers, shaking his head. "If you touch me, I'll fall apart." he adds quietly and you nod in understanding.
So as soon as you arrive back to the apartment, Hyunjin throws himself into your embrace, crying into your chest as you hold him and caress him.
"They really threw me aside. Even my father. Like I never meant anything to them." he sobs.
"I'm sorry, my love, I really am." your own eyes tear up as he squeezes you.
"It's not your fault."
"I hope you know you are loveable and I'd never leave you." you say as he looks up at you sadly.
You reach out to wipe his tears away and he smiles a little.
"I don't know what I'd do without you. Thank you for loving me." he holds you even tighter.
"Thank you for letting me love you, Jinnie."
"Someday... I hope we can have a family of our own." he looks at you hopefully and your face becomes hot instantly, butterflies swirling in your stomach as your heart skips a beat.
"I would love that." you whisper, caressing his hair and Hyunjin melts further into your embrace.
The afternoon is spent in each other's arms, soft kisses and touches slowly healing the damaged soul.
The promises that leave your lips are ones you intend to fulfill.
The last evening in the city is wrapped up with Hyunjin's collaboration with two other artists, their works displayed together on the walls of his gallery as people congratulate him.
He looks unreal in his suit, his hair neatly pulled back, his jewelry shiny.
You could hardly believe this was the same man who just cried in your embrace like a wounded child, yet here he was proudly showing off the beauty his heart held and captured on the canvas.
You couldn't be more proud of him, giddy with excitement as the evening progressed into a little celebratory party.
People stayed later than they should've perhaps, leaving one by one as the hours passed by until there was no one left but you and your beloved.
"Whew. That went well." Hyunjin stands by your side, wrapping his arm around your waist.
"I'm so proud of you." you tell him, making his heart swell with happiness and love.
"Feels good when you say that." he leans in, nuzzling against you. "Let's go upstairs, I wanna make love to you."
You giggle and let him lead the way, his hands impatient even in the elevator.
You kiss upon entering the apartment, bumping into furniture and throwing your clothes on the way to the bed.
Hyunjin lays you down gently, taking his time to touch you slowly, his pretty hands running all over your soft skin, squeezing occasionally as he looks at you like he's just seen you for the first time, like he's falling in love with you all over again.
Your cheeks become rosy as you lift your hands up to reciprocate, exploring his skin and muscles.
Hyunjin leans in to kiss you, worshipping your body with his lips until you're squirming for more, needy to have him closer to you, as close as possible.
Your legs wrap around him and he smirks before kissing you, the tip of his cock prodding at you.
"Hyun- please." you whisper against his lips and he grabs his length, slowly sinking into the familiar warmth of you.
"Y/n." he moans your name when you clench around him.
He starts dragging his cock slowly inside you, his eyes becoming teary.
"Are you okay?" you ask cautiously, gently taking his face in your hands.
"Never been happier. I need- I want- ugh." he buries his face in your neck and you almost chuckle at his sudden bashful behavior.
"Tell me what you want, lover." you coo at him.
"I want you to have my baby." Hyunjin says gently as he fucks deep into you and you gasp, clenching at his words.
"Please. I wanna have your baby, Hyunjin." you whimper, becoming incredibly wet at the thought.
"Ah, my flower." his cock twitches, his eyes suddenly squeezed shut as he grips at you.
"Gonna fill you up good, make you all full and round for me." he groans, pressing his forehead against yours, as his tip keeps kissing your cervix.
"P-please Hyunjin!" you go crazy at the thought of that, having a connection so deep with someone you love more than anything, being only his for the rest of your life makes your heart swell and your high approaches quickly as you clench around him and explode.
"Ah, gonna give you everything I have. Gonna make you a mommy." Hyunjin's hips stutter as your nails dig into his back.
"Yes, give me a baby Hyunjin, ah!" you whine, your eyes tearing up as he speeds up, chasing his high and quickly cumming at the thought of you being pregnant.
"Shit." he plops down on you and you giggle, holding him tight.
"Was that too much?" he asks.
"No, it's okay, don't worry." you smile, kissing his hair.
"I really do want that with you. I wasn't just saying it in the heat of the moment." Hyunjin says.
"I know. Me too." you say and he lifts up, hovering over you with a goofy smile on his face.
"You really wanna have my baby?" he asks.
"Yes, I really do." you nod, your heart still beating fast.
"How many babies?" he wiggles his eyebrows and you laugh, smacking his arm.
"Let's start with one and then we'll see." you smile and he chuckles.
"Okay but first I want to do something else once we get to the island." his eyes light up as he looks at you lovingly.
"What?" you ask and Hyunjin quickly shakes his head, sitting up.
"Not gonna ruin the surprise. You're gonna have to wait until we get there." he smirks, pinching your cheek and making you whine as you swat at his hand.
"Not fair."
"We'll be home tomorrow morning." he lays down next to you. "Honestly, I'm done with the city. I miss our little island and our home and our garden." he says, caressing your face as he turns to you.
Your heart flutters as Hyunjin calls your home and garden his too.
"Me too. I can't wait to go home with you."
And Hyunjin can't wait either, his heart exploding for the little surprise he begged Elsie to help him with.
He had planned it for some time, wanting to find the perfect ring for you, the thoughts of making you his wife running through his mind constantly ever since he moved in with you and started living on the island, his heart so full every day, so loved, held so preciously in your hands.
Hyunjin knows he wants to spend eternity with you, forever melting in your loving embrace, his mission to make you happy for the rest of time.

Melting Pot
Hardersson x Child!Reader
woso-dreamzzz Kids x Child!Reader (Princesse)
Summary: A melting point of universes
The school building isn't one that Magda stared at a lot, despite it being just across the street from her house.
It was a selective school, only accepting a handful of students after hours of vetting and interviews. Magda wasn't quite sure what the requirements actually were but she's glad that she passed them.
"Morsa," You say as you stare up at the building," What if they don't like me?"
Magda looks out across the schoolyard, where a small handful of kids are playing around.
There's a section nearer the back with a few little babies. Another section with some kids playing around with a football. A different section with a climbing frame where one little girl is sitting at the very top.
"They'll love you," Magda assures you.
You didn't have the best run of schools in Germany, with one particular teacher scaring you into an anxiety attack so bad Pernille had to pick you up early.
It was one of the reasons that Magda had campaigned so hard for this school. The brochures and the reviews insisted that it was perfectly inclusive and because the pool of students were so small, the classes were really tailored to each child and their needs.
It was perfect and Magda thanks her lucky stares that she had secured a place for you.
"Intimidating, isn't it?"
Magda looks to her side to see a woman standing next to her.
"A little bit," Pernille says politely.
"We thought the same when we first came too."
There's a little girl standing next to her, staring up at Magda with wide eyes.
"It'll get better," Her mother says," I'm Alexia, by the way. This is my Pequeñita."
"Magda. And this is Pernille and Princesse."
"It's nice to meet you. But, really, it'll get better. My girls love it here."
Magda looks at the singular child. "Girls?"
Alexia smiles, jerking her chin to the other side of the road where a tall woman with dark hair is walking over with two children.
"My ex, Jenni."
"You talking bad about me, Ale?" Jenni asks good-naturedly. She's holding the hands of a girl with ribbons in her hair and the other on her hip is gripping the life out of a stuffed fox.
"Always," Alexia teases," This is Magda, Pernille and their daughter. They're new."
"I was wondering who got the new place," Jenni says," Nice to meet you. This is Bambi and Osita. I'd shake your hand but they're full."
Pernille laughs. "It's fine."
You shuffle a bit closer to her, tugging on the sleeve of your jumper as you walk into the schoolyard.
Pequeñita starts pulling away the moment she spots a pack of similar-looking children, zeroing in on the smallest of them and Alexia lets her hand go so she can attach herself to the girl.
Bambi also disappears off to a corner of the playground where a group of girls are making daisychains.
Osita sits in Jenni's arms.
"Hi, there," A cheerful woman that you identify as a teacher says," You must be Miss Harder and Miss Eriksson. It's nice to finally meet you all." She crouches down. "And you must be my new student."
"Hi," You whisper.
"Ah, a shy one. I think you'll fit right in." She looks back at your mothers. "We've still got fifteen-twenty minutes or so before school starts. You're welcome to hang around the playground to get her settled."
"Thank you."
You squeeze Morsa's hand tight as she leads you around the playground.
There are still a lot of parents hanging around so you don't feel awkward still clinging to Momma and Morsa.
You stay mainly silent as you stare out across the playground.
"Lots of blended families," Momma notes, jerking her head around the playground at where she's noticed exes and custody agreements that are clearly a little sour.
"Inclusive too," Morsa says.
There's a little baby wearing hearing aids sitting on her mummy's lap over in the corner with the rest of the babies.
"International as well."
You're in a melting pot of languages and culture, something you can pick out even over all the shrieking of the playground.
There's languages you recognise and accents that you don't.
You relax a little.
There's a shriek nearby and you turn your head to see that throng of similar-looking girls wrestling around while a tall woman sighs and her smaller partner tries to separate them.
"Big family," Morsa laughs as the smaller woman gets tackled to the ground by the rest of her kids.
You're still looking around when a football comes rolling to a stop in front of you.
You look at it.
A group of girls come running over.
"Can we have our ball back please?" It's one of the taller ones that ask, the one that looks fairly similar to the group that's tackled their mummy to the ground.
You nod, gently kicking it back. She grabs it, turning to go.
"What's that?" A smaller girl points at your bag.
"It's my Wolfsburg keychain."
"Wolfsburg? Like the football club?"
You nod. "We used to live in Germany. Wolfsburg is our German team."
"Who's your English team?"
"Arsenal."
The smaller girl shoves her way forward, holding out her hand. "I'm Bean," She says," My team's Arsenal too."
"And mine!"
"That's Bug. She's technically my niece because my sister Leah's her mummy even though we're the same age."
"Hi," You say, gently letting go for Morsa and Momma's hands to shake Bean's.
"And this is Peanut and Nena," Bean continues," We play football together. Tesoro too but she's late because her sister Lessi likes staying in bed as long as possible."
Bean passes the ball off to her niece, who does a round of fairly impressive keepy-uppies.
"Do you play?"
You nod. "I play keeper."
"Cool!" Peanut interrupts," We don't have a keeper yet! Do you want to play with us?"
"Yes, please."
You go to move away but Morsa draws you back.
"Hey," She says," We're going to go, alright? Are you good here?"
"Uh-huh!"
Momma gives you a kiss and a cuddle and Morsa does the same before you're released.
You run into goal just in time for Bug to release a wicked shock that you jump up to collect easily.

. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ . ݁. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ . ݁༉‧₊˚.
It's your first day.
You're very nervous.
Of course, you finished high school before. But college was different.
And you didn't have anyone you knew here.
It's okay. You reassure yourself. You just gotta save up enough money to pay the debt, make a few friends and graduate. It's easy enough, right?
It's... your third day.
You haven't talked to anyone yet.
It's alright. It's only your third day.
You'll be fine.
Besides, there's this cool person you've been sneaking glances at lately. Hopefully you'll build up enough courage to talk to them!
Something gnaws at your nerves.
It's been two weeks.
Two weeks since you came to this city.
Two weeks spent alone at a table in a busy cafeteria. Two weeks of sitting in the corner of the classroom as if you don't exist.
It'll be fine. You can get by with no friends. You just have to pay the debt, and you'll be back home like nothing ever happened.
It's fine.
Three weeks.
You're paired up with someone for a group project.
They're nice. Really nice.
You found out you share a lot of common interests.
They ask to be friends. You accept.
You're really happy.
1 month.
Oh.
They've forgotten about you.
It's okay. You expected it so it didn't hurt much.
It seems they already had an existing friendgroup before you.
It's not your place to be upset. You were strangers after all.
It's okay. Just focus on your job. You'll be home soon.
Five months.
Why don't they ask you for a pen? You're right here.
You have complete school supplies. You always take notes in class.
The person in front of you asks your seatmate for a paper. They don't have one.
You did.
Why don't they ask you?
Why don't you talk to them?
You can't. Because you're too anxious. Scared.
Fear of getting judged.
It's frustrating.
College isn't so fun when you're doing it to save your only home. When you have no friends.
Seven months.
You've gotten used to it.
Sure, you can talk to your group mates just fine. Act friendly and all that stuff. But it never lasted long. Nothing ever did.
It's nothing too concerning now. You accepted the fact you were too much of a coward to just talk and reach out to someone. You're an outcast, and it'll stay that way forever.
Even if your inner self begged to be able to rant about your interests, your hobbies, your troubles.
Two more years of this hell.
Before you knew it, you're in your second year.
First day.
Nothing unusual. You're still alone.
It's boring.
Four more hours till you go home.
Second day.
There's this guy who introduced himself to you.
He seems friendly.
He told you his name, but you forgot. Oh well, it's not important.
Not like you two will be close anyway.
One week.
He keeps talking to you.
You learned his name now. Crowe.
You weren't exactly a jerk either, and it was rude to show your obvious disinterest in someone, so you tried your best to put on a smile as you listened to him.
It's awkward. He's aware of the tension in the air.
You feel bad, but it's okay. Give it a week and he'll move on.
Three weeks.
He. Won't. Leave. You. Alone.
What's wrong with this guy? He keeps acting all buddy with you.
You don't know him. He doesn't know you.
It annoys you how he acts like he does. How friendly he is with you.
You're sure he has some sort of ulterior motive.
Ah, whatever. It's not good to assume. At least you have someone sitting with you at lunch. Even if you're a little irritated.
Four weeks.
You volunteered to be a helper at the school gardens. It's good. Extra credits and a place for you to hang out. Alone.
Now you no longer have to be in the cafeteria.
Five weeks.
He found out about the garden. Keeps pestering you about it.
"Can I join? Can I help? I wanna see! Let's eat lunch there together!" He says.
It's.. so annoying. But you felt bad for him, so you accepted. Grudgingly.
Now you have someone pestering you in your comfort spot. Great.
He tells you he didn't expect you to be interested in gardening. You told him you lived on a farm. He's curious, but you refuse to tell more.
It'll be a waste of time if he'll forget about you in the end anyways.
Two months.
He's still there. He's weirdly persistent on being your friend.
You're starting to doubt yourself now. Had you judged him too much?
Still, it's hard to act friendly now when you've spent an entire year being ignored by everyone on the campus despite your attempts to communicate.
He doesn't seem to mind. You feel weird.
For once, you allow yourself to soften a little around him.
Three months.
It's been a terrible week. Burnout has caught up to you. You're in an incredibly tight budget and you're nowhere near halfway to your debt.
Is there really hope for you? Your father?
Right. You're doing this for dad. The farm.
You can't give up now that you've come so far, yet...
The frustration and stress is too much. He noticed this, of course. He's always so observant when it came to you. Noticing all the little changes and details that nobody else did. Not that anyone else paid much mind to you in the first place.
Still. It's weird. It makes you feel overwhelmed and a little overstimulated.
And it's because of the stress, you think. It's the stress and anxiety that you've been bottling up for years— and ended up lashing out on him.
He's hurt. You know it. You feel incredibly guilty.
You fucked up, didn't you? You always did. Now you lost the only person who actually liked you.
It's all your fault.
Three months and two weeks.
You haven't talked to him since then, despite his attempts to reach you.
You're the first to leave when the bell rings. You lock yourself up in the garden when it's lunchbreak. You dash out the school gates when it's time to go home.
You've seen the way he looks at you. Worry and pain plastered all over his face. It makes your stomach twist. You're guilty. You're aware of how much of a jerk you're being.
But you have no choice. After all, you were born to be lonely.
I'm sorry, Crowe.
Six months.
It's been so long. You're sure he's forgotten about you. Like you expected. It hurts, yet you ignore the pain.
One day, however, you're cornered.
You've always been an outcast. One that's genuinely forgotten by everyone.
Unlucky as you were, you never had to experience bullies in your life.
And now..
One of them pushes your bruised body to the ground. You shake. They laugh at you. Fuck people and their greed for superiority.
You hate it. Hate this. Hate yourself. Why can't you just get up and fight back? Are you really going to let them step over you like this when you're already miserable enough?
C'mon. Get up. Stand up!
Someone yells from a distance. That voice, all too familiar. One that makes your heart drop.
"Crowe?"
It all becomes a blur. You're on the ground, frozen in fear as you watched Crowe take the hits for you. Defending you as if you've known each other for years.
Why? Why would he do this? You don't understand. You don't understand him.
It's so damn annoying.
Slowly, you stand up. There's a rock nearby. You grab it.
And throw it against the bastard's head as hard as you can.
He passes out. His other goons turn around to face you with a murderous glare, and you tremble as they approach.
"One more step and I'll scream so loud everyone will think you're a serial killer." It's a stupid threat. You have no guarantee it'll work.
To your luck, it does. They turn away with a 'tsk' as they pick their friend up. It seems they don't want to cause any more trouble than they already did. Hypocrites.
You immediately turn to face Crowe with a harsh glare, striding towards him despite the pain in your body.
You grab him by the collar, bringing him close to your face as you yelled, confusion and pain evident in your voice. Desperation. "Are you stupid? Why the hell did you do that?! There's literally no reason for you to defend me, so why?!" You shake him back and forth. You shouldn't be doing this. Shouldn't be angry at him when he helped you.
You're just.. so damn lost.
He doesn't mind the way you take your anger out on him when he should. He should be annoyed with you. He should be as mad as you for getting angry when he's the one who helped you.
Instead, he laughs. He fucking laughs.
"Because you're my friend!" He grins stupidly, and you have half a mind to punch him the way those bullies did.
You don't. Instead, you let him go as you felt warmth rush to your cheeks and all over your body. Till your heart aches and leaves a stinging pain in your chest. Till the tips of your fingers tingle and leave your palms sweaty. Till your knees feel weak and you sit down on the ground with your head held in your hands.
"You're.. so annoying, you know that? You're fucking insane." Your voice was shaky. Yet you couldn't help the smile that crept up to your lips.
He stayed. He didn't forget about you.
You have a friend. His name is Jericho Ichabod.
Three years — present.
You're in the greenhouse. Brittney and the others are somewhere in the garden, doing their own thing. You're glad they're enjoying this little space of yours.
Crowe's saying something about flowers. You don't listen much, simply staring at him as you nod and smile.
You have a crush. His name is Jericho Ichabod.

The Rare Bookseller 90s AU: Lily's Rental
This came to me in a dream. I don't know how much of it I'm going to write, but I love the late 90s as a setting and couldn't resist.
Masterlist
tw: hypnosis, kidnapping
September 12, 1998
Lisa shook her can of Mountain Dew, dismayed that there didn't seem to be any more in it. She'd had three sodas tonight and was still struggling to stay awake.
She was working the late shift at the video store again, and she was really more bored than she was tired, the endless preview reel playing on the TV above her head doing little to hold her attention. She'd grown tired of the book she brought with her, she'd already restocked the candy and cleaned out the returns, and as she lived in a city that very much slept, there weren't a lot of customers so late on a weeknight.
Maybe no one would notice if she rested her head on the counter for just a few minutes and…
The sound of the door sliding open had her jerking back awake. "Welcome to Blockbuster, can I help you find anything?" she said on instinct.
"Well, you're a helpful one!" said the customer in an annoyingly cloying voice. "But we're just looking to browse the movies. Don't mind us."
She was wearing a floral sundress and tights, and looked a little too put-together for someone looking to rent a video at 11:40pm on a Tuesday. Trailing behind her was a man with a purple flannel shirt, a long blonde ponytail, and sunglasses perched on his head for some reason.
Far from the strangest people she saw in this job, of course.
"I'm feeling something with a lot of action," said the man as he walked deeper into the store. "What are you thinking?"
"I was thinking of -- ooh, no one told me Titanic was out on video!" The woman had stopped in front of the cardboard Titanic standee, apparently having lived under a rock until today.
"Did you somehow miss the nonstop ads on TV?" said the man, echoing Lisa's thoughts.
"I don't have time to watch that much TV. Some of us work for a living, you know," she said. "We have to rent this."
"Isn't it supposed to be four hours long? You know my attention span sucks."
"It'll be fine. I'll let you know when the interesting parts are happening."
Normally Lisa would mind her own business and not be especially interested in the usual chitchat of customers picking out movies, but right now it was the only thing keeping her alert. She idly flipped through a catalog as they talked.
The man picked up one of the many rental copies of Titanic and flipped it in his hands, a dubious look on his face. "I guess. And Lex might like it, he loves tragedy. It's cute when he's trying not to cry."
"I don't know, does Lex watch movies with color? You might blow his mind."
"I'm pretty sure he's still getting used to talkies."
"Anyway, I'm definitely getting this," said the woman. "And I think there's something else I'd like to take with me…"
Her tone of voice was a little strange. Lisa's brows furrowed in confusion as she pretended to be interested in winter fashion.
"Oh, right," the man said. "Brian wanted some video game. Ah, shit, what was it? I should've written it down. Final something."
"That's not what I'm talking about. Come on, Fitz, I want to show you something."
The two disappeared behind the rack of horror movies, their voices too low for Lisa to hear what they were saying. She was starting to get uneasy now. They were probably planning to shoplift, which was not at all the kind of excitement she was hoping for. Lisa ran her hand over the panic button on the underside of the counter, just in case.
The two split up and seemed to be browsing the movies. Lisa was keeping her eye on the man -- Fitz, what a goofy name -- who was over by the video game rentals, watching if he tried to slip one under his shirt. At the moment, he was staring at the video games as though they were some puzzle he needed to solve. This guy really didn't seem clever enough to get past our security, so maybe he was a distraction while --
"Hello, I had a question!" said the woman cheerfully. She had walked up to the front desk without Lisa even noticing, because she was too focused on the other customer.
It was probably part of their scheme -- the woman would distract the clerk, while the man stole video games. Lisa made a point of keeping her eye on Fitz while talking to her. "Sure, what do you need?"
"I was wondering if you have any good movies to help me sleep at night. Something calm… relaxing…" She yawned, and Lisa had to fight not to yawn along with her. "I have a hard time sleeping, and I take medicine that makes me so drowsy, so I could really use videos that will help me sleep."
"Um…" Lisa blinked slowly, feeling like her head was stuffed full of cotton. "We have some, um… some nature videos. Over there in the nature video section. Those are relaxing." God, she was way too fucking tired for this. She couldn't even think straight.
"Nature videos do sound relaxing. So, so relaxing." The woman's voice was very soothing, and her eyes were soothing too. "I think I might be able to fall asleep to a video of rain or waterfalls. Do you have anything else that would help me sleep? I get so tired this late at night."
Lisa yawned wide, and as oxygen hit her brain, she realized that she was being super unprofessional (not that she would get in trouble or anything) and that she had completely lost track of Fitz. Instead, she was gazing into this stranger's eyes, like that was a normal thing to do. "Well… uh…" she said, trying to tear herself away. "I think we probably have… like, lullaby videos for babies? In the kid videos. And we probably have some meditation videos over in the self-help section."
"Lullabies sound perfect," said the woman, a comforting smile on her face that made Lisa feel warm inside. "Lullabies are perfect when it's time for you to go to sleep. Don't you think so, Fitz?"
"I think you're right, Lily."
Lisa's hand was grasped by hands that were cold but incredibly soft. She realized that Fitz had also come up to the front desk, and was holding her hand for some bizarre reason. Before her sluggish thoughts could catch up to her and she could try to pull away, he began to rub a slow circle into her palm, and Lisa…
…just couldn't…
"There we go, sweet girl. You're so tired, aren't you? Tired and sleepy," said the woman. Lily.
"Mmm, she looks so drowsy. Like she could nod off at any second," Fitz agreed, as he stroked the palm of her hand so gently, a motion that seemed to steal away her focus and muddle her thoughts.
"Drowsy and docile. You'll be drowsy and docile for me, won't you?"
Fitz used his other hand to run his fingers down her jaw and tip her chin into his gaze. "You heard her. Drowsy and docile. Isn't that right?"
Lisa felt herself nod slowly. "Drowsy… and docile…" she said, her voice sounding like it was coming from a million miles away.
This wasn't right. There were alarms going off in the back of her mind, warning her of the danger. They were going to rob her. She was going to be in so much trouble. Why was she acting like this? Why couldn't she wake herself up?
"Shhh, shhh, just relax, dear," said Lily. "Everything's just fine. You're tired, aren't you? You just want to sleep."
"Go to sleep." Fitz's fingers traced down her neck. "Just go to sleep."
"I… I don't…" Lisa's vision was blurring, the buzzing fluorescent lights slipping in and out of her mind as her eyes began to close.
"It's okay, dear. Just have a little nap. You're safe with us. You can sleep."
"You look so, so tired. You want to shut those eyelids, don't you?"
"You do. You want to shut those heavy eyelids and go to sleep. It's time to sleep, dear. Sleep…"
Lisa, making a last ditch effort to resist whatever was happening here, pulled open her leaden eyelids. The new releases shelf was at an angle -- no, her head was tipped over, almost sinking onto the counter. Why couldn't she snap out of it, stay awake? It all felt like a dream -- not even the strangest dream she'd had about the shop.
"Poor sleepy girl," Lily whispered in her ear. "You're going to fall asleep now, all right? No more resisting, no more fighting, just a comfortable deep sleep."
The drowsiness was pouring into her from her hand and face where Fitz was touching her, like she was being drugged. Her thoughts strayed briefly to the panic button under the counter before her eyes shut and she slumped over completely. She just couldn't seem to stop herself from falling asleep…
"I've got her." Hands wrapped around Lisa's waist, and Fitz's voice was much closer now. "I can see why you wanted to take her. She smells delicious."
"I know good merchandise when I see it," said Lily.
Delicious? Merchandise? Lisa tried to stir.
"Shh, don't worry about it," said Lily, brushing hair out of Lisa's face. "Sleep tight. Pleasant dreams."
Lisa could feel herself being lifted in the air and carried, but she was too much asleep to protest or do anything about it.
"So I'm guessing we're taking her to the auction house, then?" said Fitz. "D'you think the Blockbuster's going to charge us a late fee if we don't return her?"
"Very funny, and yes, let's take her to the auction house. We can run a background check to make sure we haven't picked up anything too dangerous. I'm thinking she's going to fetch a nice payday," said Lily. "Oh, is this the video game your thrall wanted?"
"Hell if I know, but it's probably close enough. Could you grab that for me? Thanks."
Cool night air hit Lisa's face, waking her up just slightly as she realized she must be outside. Someone needs to close up the shop, she thought in a bleary daze. She heard a car door open.
"Stay with her in the back and keep her asleep, okay?"
"You're better at keeping thralls asleep. Are you sure you don't want to do it?"
"No, because I'm also better at driving. It'll be easier to keep her calm if we don't have you slamming the brakes and pounding the horn --"
"Oh c'mon, I only do that to people who deserve it."
The next thing Lisa knew, she was laying down. Her legs were only halfway on the seat and her head was in someone's lap. A chilled hand stroked her forehead and combed through her hair, and Lisa couldn't help but sink into it, losing herself.
"…could just take her home, you know."
"…don't think she's…"
"…don't you think she'd be a good match for…"
"…but she'd be worth…"
The voices slowly faded away as Lisa slipped deeper into slumber.

ᯓ★٠ ࣪⭑ ONE DAY.
not much proofread, plot going random, just wanted to write about him. anyway, haibara appearance <3
tagging @jadeee bc why not? hehe 👀
. dividers by @/cafekitsune ! 💛
He remembered those days when you guys used to hang out around the local park after school. You would've sat by one of the swings, and no one's around to stop you from doing so. Nanami remembered on how much Haibara loved to be there as well; often being the one who wanted to push your swing instead.
It's a quite fond memory that he silently held onto, sometimes wishing that he could go back to those times. But alas, it's nothing but a mere wish, and some old memories of the past, yet still freshly engraved within his own mind.
His chocolate eyes scanned around the currently almost empty park; no one familiar in sight at this hour of the day. It still hasn't even reached the night yet, but the people who stayed outside have lessened significantly. The air around him feels quite rare even to those who have known him, which was filled with silent longing and slightly more relaxed than usual.
Nanami may not show it much, but his eyes are very telling in those specific matters. There's no way for one to return to the past-- to remain as a completely innocent child, blinded by the problems that the world itself have caused by its people. That's life, after all.
His eyes then wandered over a certain swing that's being blown a bit by the wind. For a split second, the blonde-haired male could've sworn he could see Haibara himself sitting there while sending him his usual bright grin. Though, it only lasted for a few moments before he snapped himself back to reality.
Was he really that tired..?
The sudden rush of memories of the past filled his awakened state of mind-- remembering the days where Haibara used to push and drag him around playfully, whether it's to get some meals or even just for fun. The way he speaks; it's the epitome of the bright sun itself, to which is quite blinding in various ways to those who experienced it.
Haibara's optimism can be so heartwarming, yet it burns so deeply within one's memory.
The sounds, the laughter you three have shared in the past; he could've heard it clearly echoing throughout the empty park, even if it's just from his old memories alone.
It's not something he would admit so easily, but today is one of those days where Nanami genuinely misses the old days deeply.
"Ah, figured you would be here." A voice with a sense of familiarity filled his senses-- ringing through the evening air as the said person begins to approach his lone figure. They are adults now, no longer the child they used to be. Yet somehow, even you, wanted to become a kid all over. It's just one of those days.
When he turned his head to give you a proper look, he had this almost unreadable expression etched upon his face. It's quite unexpected for him to see you roaming out here.
"What are you doing here at this hour? Shouldn't you be at home already?"
His tone isn't one of harshness, but rather has a hint of concern and curiosity-- and at least, a bit of protectiveness. He knew on how you barely even go to the park anymore since 'that' incident, and mainly only go there whenever you need to clear your mind off from something and such.
"I just wanted to clear my mind a bit. Didn't know you would be here too." A reply that he expected, so he simply nodded in understanding.
A brief silence ensues between the two of you, one that's quite comforting due to the mutual and longtime connection you both have shared over the years. While you aren't that close with anyone else, the bond you shared with Nanami grows stronger as ever.
Without even noticing, the both of you have shared the same look towards that one specific swing; the memory within your minds are still so fresh even when times have long past. It's starting to get a little too nostalgic, so you have to tear your gaze away from it not too long after.
It'll pass, they said. But why did you always find yourself returning to even the slightest hint of darkness; especially to this specific place when it hurts you a bit more?
Slowly, you began to walk past him and sat down on one of the empty swings, moving it yourself. His gaze never left from you while doing so.
The whole scene ahead of him is so achingly familiar, even giving him the same feeling of yearning from within. There was something about the quietness of the air; the incoming darkening skies above you both that's so relaxing despite the whole feeling you two are experiencing at the moment.
"What are you thinking about?" He's the first to break the silence lingering between the two of you-- the slightest sounds from the swing you're on seemed to stop by his words.
You remained quiet for a bit more, taking immediate notice on how he has settled himself on the bench nearby, his gaze never leaving yours.
"Nothing much," you attempted to brush it off so casually. "Just.. tired, I suppose."
"Ah.."
"From what?" He questioned in a rather soft tone, genuinely wanting you to speak out to him about whatever has been possibly bothering your mind. Nanami genuinely doesn't want you to drown within it alone, letting his actions clear and known.
"I don't know anymore, to be honest. Everything, I suppose." None of it makes it better, thus the words and thoughts that have formed inside your own mind is quite a jumbled mess.
"I even, you know, considered to leave Jujutsu High at some point even before you decided to return there. But then again, I will have no place to go."
Nanami shifted his gaze momentarily, silently pondering over your words for a good few seconds. "So, you're still considering over the thought." You simply nodded, letting your eyes wandered lower.
"Don't you desire the same, Kento?"
Your statement caught him off guard for a while there, yet they were nothing short but truth. There's a faint change within his features, yet it only goes unnoticed by you.
Truly, he ever expressed the same thoughts to you not too far back then, and he did realize on how you been having that idea in your mind as well.
"I mean, I do too."
"I'm sure you're aware on how I've already given it some proper thoughts about it before."
You nodded wordlessly, not having the right words that you could let out at this moment. There seems to be a sudden shift in the atmosphere; your eyes looked heavy, yet it wasn't caused by the lack of sleep whatsoever.
Slowly, but surely, Nanami decided to stand from the bench he's been sitting on and approached your preoccupied form-- carefully placing one of his hands around your shoulders to provide at least some comfort that you might needed, while guiding you to move yourself away from the swing, and toward the empty bench.
"I don't want to leave you here alone, Ken."
He froze once he heard your words, staring at your face for a bit. He doesn't know what to say, truth be told. But then again, even words couldn't help much in situations like this, because it's simply irreversible.
"Don't join us too soon. Go and finish your duties first."
"Me and Haibara can wait."
Haibara. Right, Haibara.. It's like a slap of reality once the realization fully hit him right in the face. Has he been so exhausted lately, that he almost forgets about it? The mere thought of it already puts a heavy weight upon his heart, and now he has to face it once again. Oh, how he wishes to erase the thought itself, yet to no avail. It's in fact, the truth he has to face at this waking moment.
".. Right."
"It won't be long, I hope. So please, wait for me, okay?"
A bright smile suddenly adorns your face so beautifully, which causes an immense change for the whole vibes of the current situation. You're no longer appearing to be gloomy as before; everything feels a bit more lighter now. It's almost surreal, yet he has faced a lot more questionable stuff for the time he lived his life.
"Always! I could wait for you forever if I'm able to!" Has your skin felt this cold earlier..? No amount of heat could possibly get rid of it, yet you couldn't care less. It doesn't matter to you at this point, because Nanami himself came to visit.
It's not surprising that he chose to suppress his true emotions even right now; avoiding any hints of wanting to have a mental breakdown or anything, especially in front of you when you looked so.. happy.
So, he returned the smile you have given him, to which is a small, yet a warm one; one that is able to melt your heart all over.
"I will return to you both," he promises, taking ahold of one of your hands in his; voice filled with honesty and finality.
"Just-- don't join us too soon!"
"Me and Haibara would wait for you by the swings here!"
That's the thing. There's a certain type of child-like innocence dripping within your words alone, which made his breath hitch slightly as he tried to remain visibly composed; not wanting to worry you or get rid of the happy expression you emitted at this moment.
The two of you never deserved this at all. The world is being so cruel and unfair to you.
While you have been released from his comforting grasp not too long ago, you have kept a safe distance between you two-- standing just ahead of him. A familiar hand was placed just atop of your shoulder; the said figure emerging out of nowhere with a look of content, remaining completely harmless.
He's been taking care of you, after all.
The mixture of emotions is becoming too real for him. Nanami could feel these deep pits of sadness bubbling up within him, and at the same time, the feeling of pure relief is also present. He's just genuinely grateful and thankful because of you two for a lot of reasons.
It's so nostalgic, yet depressing in a way.
"Until I return.."
"Both of you please stay safe." It feels a bit odd for saying that, as if you two are still alive and breathing. But that's beside the point.
Even a stoic man like him has his own weakness; feeling his eyes getting a little watery as he turned his back on you and Haibara, getting ready to leave the park as well.
"We will!" The black-haired sunshine exclaims with full confidence and enthusiasm, now holding onto your hand tightly while waving using the other at Nanami's retreating figure.
The blonde-haired male couldn't help but to let his lips curve upwards ever so slightly, without facing you two as he leaves the park. He's aware he has a purpose in life, and he would continue fulfilling his intended duties.
"I'll return someday soon."
".. one day."

So What’s the Big Deal?
AN: this is for that one anon a while back that was asking for more wwdits fics, the nuzzling prompt was perfect for namdermo fluff! Hope y’all enjoy, here’s day 8!
Guillermo thought that maybe, just once, it might be different. His... he was hesitant to use the word friends right now, so let's just say his roommates had been fairly reasonable with him lately, especially in comparison to his early years as a familiar. Nandor wasn't completely distant anymore, and he occasionally showed some semblance of affection. Colin Robinson didn't always drain his energy, and even Lazlo and Nadja started to use his real name!
... Most of the time. But Gizmo wasn't the worst, as far as nicknames were concerned.
He let out a deep sigh. Did Gizmo even qualify as a nickname? That sort of thing had always seemed like a fun in joke, where your friends gave you a cooler name than your own because they liked you, or it fits your personality better. They called him Gizmo because they couldn't bother to learn his real name for the longest time.
Most of the time he was the butler, the babysitter, the maid, but sometimes, they really made him feel like their pet.
Lazlo wouldn't stop fucking whistling at him. He had just told him he was busy, and now he was determined to make him drop his current task just to make him start a new one.
"Oh my god, what?" he cried out in frustration.
"Oh good, those ears of yours do work."
"Did you need something Lazlo?" It was best to cut to the chase with this lot.
"I do indeed! You see, a very large, very dead rat appears to have crawled inside the engine of my automobile, and you get to fish it out!" he finished with a smile, poking Guillermo's arm for emphasis.
"Ew, no! I'm busy, Nandor told me to have this done by the time he gets back. And besides, I have an order I need to go pick up."
"Come on Gizmo, it'll only take a second!" Lazlo insisted.
"I said no!"
"That's the spirit! Follow me!" He completely ignored Guillermo's protests and drug him away by the wrist, leading him to the garage.
~~~
It wasn't a rat, and it definitely wasn't dead. The possum had sprung to life as soon as Guillermo tried to lift it by its tail. It hissed and thrashed in his grip, scratching all the way up his arm, slicing through the thin rubber gloves he was wearing. He yelled out in pain and dropped the creature straight back into the engine. It flopped around on the inner mechanics before launching itself straight at Guillermo.
Lucky, he was able to catch it mid air just before it could latch onto his face and tear him to shreds. It still reached out for him, hissing and snarling in his face and lunging against his grasp.
Lazlo did nothing but watch as he wrangled the possum into a trash can and carry it outside. Okay, he held the door open for him, but he literally did nothing to actually help.
He didn't even say thank you!
Guillermo tried to calm himself down as he walked to the nearby bakery. The poor cashier gave him a concerned look when he walked in covered in bloody scratches.
"Possum," he explained bluntly and she nodded in understanding.
"Ah. Well, I hope this makes up for it!" she chirped in her customer service voice. He smiled politely.
"You and me both." He grabbed his bag and stuffed his wallet back into his pocket.
“Thank you, have a nice day!"
"Thanks, you too."
"And happy birthday!"
Guillermo paused with his hand on the door. That was the first time he'd heard that today.
"Thank you." He quickly rushed out before he burst into tears from a perfectly normal interaction. He didn't expect those words to hit him so hard, but hey, it's been a rough day.
He was relieved when he got home. He wanted nothing more than to rush off to his room before any of the vampires saw him and demanded his attention. Thankfully, no one seemed to be awake yet. What the hell, it was his birthday, a little pizza wouldn't hurt. It was still a few hours before sunset, so the delivery guy should be fine.
He placed his order and began the arduous task of deciding what to watch. He browsed through the downloaded movies on his laptop, pausing when he came across Sixteen Candles. How fitting...
He always did like that movie. And it at least felt festive for the occasion.
He clicked play and nestled into a hoard of blankets and pillows, keeping an eye out for his delivery.
He was halfway back to his room, pizza box in hand when he ran into Nandor, still in his sleeping robes.
"Guillermo, there you are!"
He was so close to the freedom of his room.
"Hello Master."
"I heard about what happened with the giant rat," Nandor began in his own form of apology.
"It was a possum."
"Same thing. Are you okay?" he asked, tilting his head as he took a step forward.
"Yeah, I just finished cleaning the scratches." Guillermo tried to step around him. "But I'm actually watching a movie right now, so..." he trailed off, excusing himself.
"Really? What's it about?" Nandor asked, deciding to follow him to his room. Well, if he really wanted to know...
"This girl's whole family forgets her 16th birthday, which is, like, a big deal for humans, all because her older sister's getting married the next day. But hey, at least they had a good excuse." His tone was a little harsher than necessary, and he made his annoyance clear when Nandor invited himself into his room.
"Oh please, I'm sure someone remembered," he said flippantly. Guillermo barked out a laugh.
"That's rich, coming from you."
Nandor's brows knit together in concern. "Guillermo, what's wrong?"
"You really don't know what day it is, do you?" he asked, hanging on to the last bit of hope.
"... Tuesday?"
"It's my birthday!" Guillermo didn’t like how long it was taking him to respond.
"So, like, what's the big deal?" God, he hated just how clueless Nandor could be.
"Get out," he said calmly, pointing at the door.
"Wait-" Nandor called out, and Guillermo looked at him expectantly. "Is it really your birthday?" he asked sheepishly.
He nodded, arms crossed over his chest. "Yeah, it is. But I know you guys don't really care about that sort of thing, so it's fine." He turned away, grabbing a slice of pizza to indicate the discussion was over.
So why was he still standing there?
"Guillermo... Are you mad at me?" Of course that’s all he cared about. And he really didn't want to deal with this right now.
"No Master, I'm just tired. So can I please just watch my movie?"
Nandor didn't know what to think. Sure, Guillermo said he wasn't angry, but his whole demeanor said otherwise. He was hesitant to leave if he upset him.
"Of course! You know, I too enjoy a good moving picture," Nandor wandered closer to the bed, peering down at the screen. Guillermo sighed.
"Do you want to watch it?"
"Thank you, I'd love to!" Nandor exclaimed and immediately flopped down next to Guillermo, taking up a fair amount of space on the bed. He adjusted himself until he was comfortable before resting his chin on his shoulder to see the screen better.
Well, maybe this day wasn't the worst.
He hadn't been very far into the movie, so he played it from the beginning for Nandor's sake. This almost felt... nice. Normal. But in the back of his mind, he knew Nandor was only doing this because he felt guilty.
The vampire shifted in his seat, hugging him closer and nuzzling into his neck slightly. Guillermo tried to scrunch his neck, lips twitching into a smile. Nandor's beard was scratching against a particularly sensitive spot right behind his ear. Finally, it grew to be too much, and Guillermo had to shove him away.
"Stohop! That really tickles!"
The silence that followed sent a chill up Guillermo's spine.
"I'm sorry, it really what?" he asked deviously, flashing his fangs with an evil grin. Before his familiar could answer properly, he buried his face in his neck, drawing out a shrill squeal instead.
"Nohohothihing! Just forget ihihit!" he cried frantically, desperately clawing at Nandor's arms wrapped around him. That rough beard returned to the soft skin of his neck, and a hand flew up to hide his blushing face. He wasn't even facing him, but he felt he needed to hide.
"Nooo, I don't think sooo!" he cooed directly in Guillermo's ear; the hot breath and rough stubble sent goosebumps across his whole body. He was downright mortified when he felt fangs trace and nibble just below his jaw, and he immediately snorted.
"Nohoho, plehehease!" he whined as Nandor wrestled his arms down to his sides, leaving him utterly defenseless. He began nuzzling against the nape of his neck and behind his ears, growling and nipping just to hear the frantic jump in laughter each time.
"What an adorable weakness for you to have! You better hope Nadja and Lazlo don't find out about this, they love themselves a helpless, ticklish neck," he taunted, and Guillermo could practically hear his grin.
Fuck. "Dohohon't you dahare tehehell them!" he tried to sound threatening, but it wasn't coming across as planned.
"Don't worry, I don't plan on sharing," he set his worries at ease, but he honestly didn't know if that would be worse.
"Nahahandor! Just lehehet mehe gohohoho!"
"It's funny, hundreds of men said the exact same thing, and it never saved them. Then again, they weren't laughing like you are."
"Just kihihill mehehehe!" he yelled dramatically, and Nandor couldn't help but chuckle along.
"On your birthday? I couldn't! But you might wish you were dead by the time I'm through with you!" he threatened.
"M-mahaster, plehehease!" Guillermo could only squeal and thrash as he was tickled from behind. His pleading went ignored, and Nandor nuzzled deeper against his neck, causing him to let out an adorable gasp. His nose scrunched and he snickered and shook his head back and forth. The not quite so unbearable torture persisted.
He couldn't believe this was happening to him. He couldn't believe Nandor actually felt bad for forgetting his birthday, and was trying to cheer him up. He could deny it all he wants, but Guillermo knows that's why he's really doing this. Then again, his master loves having any kind of power over someone, so he'll take that with a grain of salt. But he was being gentle with him; he was intentionally being playful. In his fuzzy, giggly mindset, that had to mean something.
And then curious, probing hands slipped under his sweater, and all those nice thoughts flew out the window because now Nandor was kneading his hips and belly. He barked out a surprised laugh, hands flapping by his sides where they were pinned. He managed to slip an arm free, weakly tugging at the invading hands.
"Uh oh, we can't have that," Nandor muttered as he pinned his arm above his head. Guillermo shook his head frantically as nervous giggles spilled past his lips.
"Nohoho! Nahandor, plehehease! It tickles!" he begged, and he could feel the smile pressed against his neck stretch wider.
"Oh my sweet Guillermo, the real tickling hasn't even started yet," he taunted, relishing in the choked yelp that caught itself in his victim's throat.
He didn't have time to question what that meant before he was screaming in laughter. Nandor hugged him closer as one hand dug in his exposed pit while he blew a relentless onslaught of raspberries on his neck.
This was shaping up to be a long night.
When you opened your eyes again, it was before the alarm. You crawled out of bed and went straight for the shower. Taking the extra time you had to soak in the hot water before getting ready to go out.
When you stepped out of your dorms, you bumped into Ghost in the hallway. "Oh hey, looks like we had the same idea. Did you sleep good?"
He smiled softly when you spoke to him, "Yeah, I slept quite well, thank you...how about you? Did you sleep well?" Ghost asked, his deep gravelly voice was filled with sleepiness.
You tried to hide the light blush on you face. His sleepy voice was cute, paired with his freshly showered body. He smelled good and he looked ruggedly handsome. God, I hope he can't read my mind right now.
Ghost took a quick breath, trying to wake himself up, "Ah, I need a cup of coffee...want to come with me?" Ghost asked as he smiled again.
"I slept great, thanks." You replied softly. "Coffee sounds great."
Ghost nodded, he couldn't help but notice the blush on your face. Ghost looked over at you with a confused look on his face, he knew there was something on your mind but he couldn't figure out what it was right now.
"That's good...let's head over to the cafeteria, they should still be open." Ghost replied as he moved past you to open the door to the cafeteria. Ghost held the door open for you as he looked back over. "After you."
"What a gentleman," you said playfully, "thank you."
Ghost laughed, "I'll be a gentleman until I'm told otherwise." He replied in a playful tone.
You walked happily over to the coffee bar and made yourself a fresh cup with lots of cream. "Excited to go to the pub?"
Ghost smiled again as you asked about the pub, he nodded as he started to pour a cup of coffee for himself. "Yeah, I'm actually excited to get out of here for a few hours…Are you excited to go?" He asked softly with a smile.
You smiled and nodded, taking a sip of your coffee. "Yea, I'm excited. Soap told me there's a pool table." You chewed on your lip and rocked on your feet restlessly. "Actually, I wanted to ask if you'd play a game with me?"
Ghost was in the process of taking his first sip of coffee as you spoke up, he put the cup down immediately and looked over at you. “Oh? You want me to play a game of pool with you?” Ghost asked with a slight chuckle.
Ghost looked over at you with a warm smile on his face, his gravelly voice sounded calm and gentle as he spoke. “Alright, I’m up for that,” he smiled softly.
You narrowed your eyes at him, "was asking you to play against me a mistake? Are you some pool champion on the side?"
You were actually buzzing with excitement that he agreed to play you. You hadn't had a chance in so long to play, it was rare to still find places with a pool table now.
Ghost looked at you as he took a sip of his coffee, "Oh, I can hold my own in a game of pool." He smiled down at you, You could tell he was feeling confident.
"I played pool all the time when I was growing up so I'm sure I can beat you, just wait and see." Ghost joked.
You smiled deeply, trying to keep yourself from blushing. "Don't talk too much game," you teased, "it'll only hurt more when I beat you later." You giggled and finished the last of your coffee. "I'm going to head back to my dorm and finish getting ready. I'll meet you at the pub?"
Ghost raised his brow and hummed, "Oh, I'm sure I could beat you in a game of pool." He laughed softly, he could see the blushing and he wasn't sure whether to find it cute or just adorable. "Alright then, I'll meet you in the pub when I'm done, don't go ahead without me, I'll be there in a little bit."
You gleefully walked back to my dorm, a flutter in your stomach. You slipped into a pair of high waisted black skinny jeans that showed off your figure. Paired with a plain low cut black t-shirt tucked in. And of course, your favorite pair of boots.
Before long you had made your way down to the pub. The music and sounds of people chatting filled your ears. As you walked into the pub, you quickly noticed the lively atmosphere of the pub.
You looked around for Ghost and after a minute you found him across the room, he was sitting at a table with Soap and Gaz. Ghost was taking a sip of his beer and looking around the room, taking notice of you quickly.
You carefully cut through people and made your way over to the table with the guys. You smiled brightly, "getting started without me?" You took a seat next to Ghost, across from Gaz and Soap.
"Finally! You've been gone too long." Soap laughed.
Ghost greeted you with a wave and a small smile as he placed his bottle of beer down on the table.
Gaz chuckled and gave Soap a playful elbow, "Oh please, it's only been a few days and you act like it's been months."
"Just wait until I do get sent out for months, you'll be losing your minds." You said playfully, letting out a small laugh.
Ghost laughed with you as he nodded. "Good point, we would all go completely crazy if you left now." Ghost sipped at his beer as he looked over at you, "So...are you ready to play a game of pool with me?" Ghost asked softly.
"Absolutely, I'm ready." You replied to Ghost. "Let me grab a drink and then we can start." You gave him a big smile before slipping away to the bar.
He nodded, "alright then...let me know when you're ready." He replied as he took a sip of his beer.
Gaz and Soap both smiled as they nodded their heads, "Yeah, take your time." Gaz chuckled.
You rolled your eyes at the guys. You turned and walked a few steps towards the bar, purposely swinging my hips a little more. Ghost chuckled and hummed as he saw you purposely swinging your hips. He knew that he shouldn't be looking but of course, he couldn't help himself.
"Don't be looking at my ass." You yelled back in a teasing manner, knowing they had eyes on you.
Gaz chuckled as he saw why Ghost was distracted, "Yeah...of course not, we're not all a bunch of perverts." Gaz replied in his usual flirty manner.
Soap and Gaz tried to hide their laughter. Caught them, you thought.
You leaned against the bar and ordered yourself a vodka sprite. You thanked the bartender and then went to meet Ghost at the pool table. You took a sip before speaking, "how about we make this game more interesting?"
Ghost raised his brow as he looked up to see you, "Of course, what's your idea?" He asked in a curious manner.
You gestured for Ghost to come closer to you, out of hearing from the other guys. You picked out a pool cue and nervously played with it. Ghost chuckled as he came over to you, he couldn't wait to hear what your idea was. He leaned over you slightly as he was now within whisper distance of you.
"I think we should make a bet for the winner. Like I get something if I win, and the same for you." You started to feel a blush creep onto your face.
Ghost raised an eyebrow at the idea of a bet, he wondered what you wanted if he won and what he wanted if he somehow lost to you. He then nodded, "Alright… and what would you want if somehow you won?" Ghost asked softly as he took a sip of his beer, his tone was curious and excited to hear your answer.
You sipped on your drink, trying to buy myself time. "If I win, you buy my next drink." You took a bigger sip than you intended and coughed a bit. "What do you want if you win?"
Ghost thought about the question and nodded his head, “Oh easy…if I win…” Ghost paused for a moment as if he was thinking of something, he couldn’t help but grin as he spoke again. "If I win, you dance with me later tonight," Ghost chuckled as he looked at you again.
You choked on your drink when Ghost said what he wanted. "You dance?" You asked shyly, the blush on your face very obvious.
Ghost chuckled again, "Yeah, I can dance...is that so hard to believe?" He asked in a playful tone.
"Alright alright, it's a deal." You set up pool balls up on the table. "Do you want to break?"
"Hmm...yeah, I'll break." Ghost mumbled as he bent down to set the cue ball up. After a few seconds, Ghost stood up and backed away from the cue ball. Ghost lifted up his cue stick and aimed it at the cue ball. "Here goes nothin'..."
You chewed on your lip as you watched Ghost bend over the table. His long muscular arms aiming the pool cue perfectly. You almost felt guilty eyeing him like this, but he was incredibly good looking. The alcohol was starting to make you fluttery. You giggled softly looking at Ghost and how handsome he is right now.
Ghost struck the cue ball and sent it across the table with precision, knocking a few balls in the pockets.
"Maybe letting you go first was a mistake. Take your other shots now." You teased as you continued to down your drink.
Ghost raised his brow as he quickly turned his head around to see you looking at him with those soft glances of yours.
Ghost laughed softly as he bent down one more time and struck the cue ball again, he made another two shots as he stood back up again. "What's the matter? You not confident you can beat me?" He teased back.
Ghost walked over to you and took a sip of his beer. "You should drink slower, you know how easy it is for you to get drunk."
You opened your mouth in shock at Ghost. "I don't know what you're talking about, I'm not drunk yet," you joked, playfully rolling your eyes.
Ghost laughed as he placed his beer down on the table, "Sure, sure..." Ghost then stood closer to you, "Maybe not drunk yet but you're definitely getting there."
Since he was standing so close you could smell his cologne again. You hummed happily, "is that the same cologne you were wearing the other night?" Your voice becoming a bit flirty.
Ghost's eyes widened, "yeah...yeah I am, why?" Ghost asked softly, a smirk was spreading across his lips again. "You like how I smell?" Ghost asked in a slightly flirtatious tone.
Ghost stepped close enough that you had to look up at him. Truly showcasing how much smaller you were than him. You bit your lip and gave him a sly smile. You could feel your cheeks burning, blushing hard. "I do, I really really like this cologne."
Ghost smirked as he noticed how he was now towering over you, he could see your bright red cheeks. "Well, I'm glad to hear that you like this cologne." The look in his eyes was playful and flirty as he looked down at you.
"Is there anything else you like about me? Or is it just the cologne?" He teased as he moved his hand closer to your waist.
You looked up at him with doe eyes, your mouth hanging slightly open. He was so close, you could feel his fingers dancing on your waist. "Simon..." you said breathlessly, "I, uh... I-"
Soaps loud laughs from across the bar took your attention away, your head snapping in that direction. You looked down at your feet and tried to hide your embarrassment. You felt like a little kid getting caught.
Ghost laughed softly as he saw how you tried to look away but failed miserably as Soap's laugh distracted you. He brought his hand up to the base of your chin, gently lifting up your head so that you were once again looking at him.
His fingers grazed across your jawline as he lifted your head up, his thumb traced a small pattern on your chin.
"Yeah?" Ghost asked softly as he tilted his head to the side, his voice was a soft and deep.
Your heart raced as Ghost held your gaze. You were at a loss for words now. His display of dominance was consuming you. You wanted to be putty in his hands, a heat blooming in you.
"Simon," you cooed softly at him. You glanced at his lips and then back at his eyes. You gave him a little pout. "Kiss me," you whispered softly.
Ghost chuckled slightly as his smirk grew even bigger, he was enjoying every little bit of your reaction. He could see how easily he could have sway over you and with how easily you wanted to kiss him, he knew that he definitely had you.
Ghost leaned in slowly, he wanted to make this a moment that you'd never forget. He pulled up the bottom of his mask, just below his nose, and finally closed the distance between your lips and his. You could feel his lips gently press against your lips.
His lips were perfect against yours. It was a soft kiss, a test. He slowly pulled away and looked at you, his eyes asking you if you wanted more. You wrapped your arms around his neck and pulled him back into the kiss. You kissed him deeply and hummed happily.
Ghost's heart rate increased once you pulled him back into the kiss and you felt him lean in more with his weight. You could feel the heat of his body as you continued to explore his perfect lips.
Ghost's tongue entered into your mouth as he let out a soft moan of pleasure, his eyes closed for a moment and then opened again. You could see the fire and spark in his eyes. His fingers grabbed onto your thighs as he pulled you a little closer to him, you could feel the heat of his body all over you.
You moaned softly with pleasure into the kiss as your tongues danced.
You were lost in him.
You wanted more of him.
As you moaned into the kiss, Ghost continued to kiss you back in an even more passionate manner. You could feel the heat of Ghost's body, the heat from his core mixed with his arms wrapped around your back made you feel warm and cozy. His hands and fingers continued to squeeze your thighs as he moved them up and down softly.
You put a hand on his chest and pulled back for a moment. You felt breathless, your face flushed. "Maybe we should take this back to my room?" You asked softly.
Ghost laughed softly as he saw how your face was burning with that bright red blush, he nodded his head. "Yes, we should." He agreed softly.
Knackered Yet Living (1): The Office Building
Canines, dogs specifically, are an apparent, growing element, adding to the enhancement or improvement towards the well-being and performance of employees in some office spaces. With provision of fair rules and regulations, dog-friendly office places are possible. Even dogs may find themselves building their relationship and character with other pooches. In this world, semi-dogs are the ones working behind the management and the rest is story. || CONTENT WARNING || A few Dog Puns Sneeze causing Hiccups (Unexplored, Short Case) "Under the Weather" Moment
The Creator is not blessed with writing skills but gave it a go to build short moments of their characters. Refrain reading if not favored.
"Bonjour, good day to you, too. Oh! Pardon me…excuse me." At a soft, yet polite tone, a fair Brittany Spaniel was in a bit of a hurry, making quick greetings and marching her way to the office's main elevator area filled with other fellow office workers. Fortunately, she made it in the nick of time.
It was a typical busy Monday as always. A corporate office building stood tall in the urban land nestled near the heart capital of the nation. Early in the morning, the city is brimming with diverse canines going about their day. Some on their way to school, to work, or even just beginning to rouse themselves awake by their alarm clocks. It was like any other day.
The heels made the Brittany Spaniel's presence known around the department she worked in; she walked her merry way to her cubicle. Under the Finance Department, so far, she is doing her utmost capabilities in her profession. As she took off her khaki trench coat, she was greeted by a close colleague.
"Delphine. Del, can I borrow your highly addicting, and by addicting, amazing nasal inhaler?" Olivia, an American Cocker Spaniel, sheepishly greeted her dear friend, peering her head over the other side of the cubicle. She made her way over to face Delphine more properly.
"Stuffy nose still bugging you, Liv?" Delphine offered her nasal inhaler in sympathy, suppressing a chuckle at her friend's specificity of borrowing the health product. Olivia thanked in reply, taking a good, if she could, deep whiff of the reliever. Hopefully it did her some good.
"I didn't have any Benadryl, but I think I can manage." Olivia chuckled, feigning frustration to her situation, even though it is a bit bothersome especially when attending to work with it. "You're a bit late than usual, heavy traffic?" She questioned as Delphine is not one to come at a latter hour when its business hours.
"Awful traffic. Early in the morning, folks aren't giving way right by the intersection before the next turn." Delphine huffed, pinching her nose bridge at the flashback. She had to walk a few more steps away to make it to the building. "They should install a better traffic light, that faulty one has been neglected for the past months, only brought nothing but nuisance, I swear."
Olivia appreciated the reliever she used, placing it back down at Delphine's desk. "It is what it is at times, even if others make a complaint about it, it'll take a while to fully take effect. Governments, am I right?" She shrugged, letting a soft chuckle. "I'll let you settle yourself, thanks for this," she tapped on the nasal inhaler before taking her leave.
Delphine hummed in reply, acknowledging her leave. "Oh, wait." She added, "Is Adam here? Have you seen him?"
Olivia turned to her, her lips pursing slightly recalling if she had run into him today. "Ah, that Hound. Yeah, he's by his desk. Paying him a visit?"
"I have matters to deal with him." Delphine made her way out of the cubicle, Olivia watching her make her way to the HR Department. Just a floor above where they settled, Delphine walked the well-lit hallways, it is a bit like a mental hospital vibe rather than an office to be frank, then again, office spaces can get to you at times. She took a sharp turn to a curve before bumping into the hound that she fortunately took quick notice of.
"Oh, heavens!" They both exclaimed out in unison at a slight surprise. Stopping each other from their tracks, Adam spoke when he realized who it was.
"Oh my dog, Del! I almost didn't see you." Adam, an Afghan Hound, had a hand on his chest, the other tucked in the pockets of his coat. He stood upright, regaining his composure, letting out a deep chuckle at the little sudden shock. The bloody Hound has his hair all down again, just a slight pet peeve Delphine had for reason to make sure Adam doesn't trip himself or the other colleagues, and also for professional criteria.
"Almost knocked into you right there." Adam uttered, watching the fair lady straighten her own composure.
"Right, I was looking for you anyway." Delphine waved a dismissive hand. "I'd say it saved me the time rather than coming to your workspace. And will you please tie your hair, you know better than this, Adam." She tsked.
Adam smirked. "I will in a moment, I don't always waltz around here with my hair free, you know?"
"You just have to tie it up, it's not that complicated." Delphine sighed longingly. "Anyway," She then flattened her palm in front of him, seemingly expecting something that he owes to her.
"Mmm, right, here you are." He softly hummed, realization hitting him as he knew what she meant by that palm. He gave her the amount of cash she lent prior back at the shopping mall where they bought drinks at a cafe. Eventually, she came along with Olivia and Adam together. "Though, I was going to pay you back anyway." He snickered.
"Sure you were." She scoffed a bit of a playful reply. "The usual spot later at 12?" she bothered asking.
Adam shot a grin, "Of course. I'll see if I can coax "Sir" later to come by. That man needs to go out of his way and join us every once in a while."
"Don't force him, will you? He might have work to do." Delphine lightly pleaded.
"I don't intend on doing so anyway!" The hound raised his hands in honesty.
Delphine fairly understood why Adam was eager to bring "Sir" along, but sometimes, its all about understanding each other, for better or worse. If there is a time where only one can resolve a certain task through themselves, then there will also be a time one can resolve a task with the help of others. But individuals are getting so reserved nowadays, aren't they? It's complicated.
"Well, I'll be seeing someone at the moment, then come back to get some work done. Au revoir!" Adam left with remark in his best French accent, which he doesn't. Delphine rolled her eyes, a hand on her hips as she head back to her office space.
Throughout the morning hours, the office got busy with the frequent calls, small conversations, meetings, and the like. The tapping of keys on the keyboard, sliding office chairs across the carpet, clicking of mouses, this is going to be a long day. Even short words of motivation can piss you off, hiding the fatigue behind a nonchalant expression.
Delphine and Olivia worked for a good solid 2 hours before taking a short break. They both decided on a light snack, egg sandwiches from the pantry room. Simple accommodation towards the employees offering optional snacks, it is quite a plus, just don't go too overboard. And what's the deal of the interchanging good and bad menu in cafeterias every day.
"Del, the nasal…" Olivia murmured softly as she comes beside Delphine, a hand on her shoulder.
"Take it, Mon Amie." Delphine replied, offering the nasal inhaler again.
"You're always so sweet." Olivia felt cared for.
"And you need some assistance. Think you should visit the clinic?" Delphine expressed her concern. The weather, nowadays, had been chilly and a few rainfall happens on and off as the day goes by.
"No, not now, it's not as bad." Olivia waved dismissively, "And nooo, I'm not being stubborn, that'll be very unlike me."
Delphine shrugged, "I beg to differ."
"No, you do-" then hitching her breath, a sudden sneeze made its way out successfully, a raising a finger up for a moment while a hand over her nose and mouth. "Uuh'HtTchiEw! Pardon! Guh, finally…that bugger got out." Olivia sighed in relief, grabbing a tissue from the pockets of her slick, long square pants.
"Good for you, dearie. Now how about that clinic?" Delphine still insisted.
"No." Olivia firmly replied, but chuckled at the end, realizing it came out as offended. "But really, its not like something I can't handle before."
Olivia eventually was called upon for assistance by another colleague, excusing herself. Delphine might just pass a sticky note on Olivia's desk to keep the inhaler first. As the hours passed, lunch, everyone's favorite time of the day, was around the corner. Delphine and Olivia made their way to their main gathering area, the lounge, where in fairness, the pantry is right next to it. Both of them settled down on the cushions of the sofa, debating clothing selections Olivia has been meaning to purchase for herself.
"Do you think this knitted sweater suits me more or this one?" Olivia questioned, "Uh, remember that clothes shop we passed by back at the mall?"
Delphine hummed, "Mm. You went back?"
Before any question arise about Olivia's spending habits, Olivia replied, "Look, its because their brand is known more for catering folks who are freezing to death. I'm part of that "folks.""
"Freezing to death. How expressive, Liv." Delphine chuckled, thinking what to buy for lunch at the cafeteria. She took a mental note of Olivia's order earlier back from their workspace.
"I swear I can handle the cold, but can the clouds just piss off?" Olivia huffed, scrolling through her phone. "So…any picks?"
Delphine looked back at her, "I can't say for sure, the second one might. Ask Adam about it."
"Ohh, Ladies.~" Speaking of the lad, the hound greeted them, they have visited the cafeteria judging from the bowl of meals in their hands. Looks like he brought George, a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, along with him.
"Ask me for what?" Adam added.
"Adam!" Olivia exclaimed.
"Livy! Delphine!" Adam responded with excitement in return.
"Sir George, afternoon to you." She said with a nod, yet the greeting was genuine.
George raised a firm hand with a light nod in return.
"Adam, look at this, come here. I need help." Olivia gestured him over, making room for the gentleman to take a seat. With all of them in the lounge, one might have mistaken as if they haven't seen each other for the past morning hours. Exaggeration much. But it is just the reality that the four are good friends.
"I'm grabbing us a coffee, Liv." Delphine looked back to the group for a second and walked away, visiting the cafeteria while the others lounged for a moment. Meanwhile with the others, they are just minding their own business.
"No, but the green would do you a favor, gives off that "pop" to your looks more." Adam suggested.
Olivia thought about it, suppressing a smirk, "You do love your greens, huh? Since you can be-"
"Hey. "Olive green" in clothing, to be more precise. You know what I mean."
Adam had his arms and legs crossed, rolling his eyes as the two still debated on color scheme. George is just listening in to them while having his light lunch, making sure they do not insert any shenanigans these two have done before.
"Tsk, tsk. But in all seriousness, ""Olive green" or Teal?" Olivia still overthink.
Why does choosing color palette have to be so difficult at times? Adam sighing heavily, with his head resting back on the backrest of the sofa.
"Oh my dog, anything that fits your fancy, Liv." Adam would want her to choose, but there's no harm for asking opinions, that is, it'll be a loop of "which shall it be" until no end. He couldn't help but chuckle at Olivia's grumble.
With all the thinking and the AC and on-going rain providing sufficient coldness, Olivia couldn't help, but let out a soft double sneeze again, excusing herself as she turned her head away, covering her sneeze on her sleeve.
"Ih'Tch!-Ut'cChhIiew!-Uh…!" She sharply hitched a breath at the end. That air bubble got a little wedged in the back of her throat putting a hand on her chest as the violent noise from her sneeze and pressure gave a reaction back.
"Bless me." Her head tucked in, a slight spasm thumped within along with the hand on her chest. It happens not too often, but when it does, she didn't mind.
"Ohh, Livy." Adam, knowing what's happened, spoke in sympathy. "That's because you couldn't decide on the color. Your body had enough of it," he joked a bit.
"Oh, y-you shush." A hiccup cut her off mid-sentence. It was silent, yet evident once you really paid attention as it shook her chest and the head tuck. She blew her nose with the tissues she have in her pockets. She was about to say something "Mp!-uh…" but, that one just had to slip through.
"Do you want to try that again?" Adam took note of it.
"C-Uh! Curse you, rain!" Olivia just dealt with it, expressing frustration to the chilly weather.
Adam chuckled at the exclaim, "There you go." The hound kept an eye on George too since he is also feeling under the weather, not as much. He suppresses it behind a grumpy expression, but he needed a break from the weather too. Adam caught his attention, looking at the two. He gave him a thumbs up, in which George a single light nod in response, letting the corgi eat his lunch for a moment.
After a good long while, "What did I miss?," Delphine arrived with the drinks for all of them and lunch for Olivia.
"I brought all of us coffee."
"De-" Olivia was cut off again, her head jerked back a bit "Delphine…" she uttered, reaching for her coffee for its warmth.
"Yes, yes, here you go, Liv." Delphine took note of the sudden case, giving a rub on Olivia's shoulder, giving sympathy.
"Cheers, mate." Adam thanked Delphine, it brought his tail to thump on the sofa.
Delphine then turned to the corgi, "Here you are, Sir George."
With a soft, yet gruff hum, George accepted the warm drink. This should tame his grumpiness just a little bit, perhaps his constricted, dry throat as well. Delphine catches up with the group for a bit, having some laughs and banter. Under each other's company, it made the chilly, gloomy weather a bit more bearable.
"I'd say cheers to coffee!" Adam raised his drink, "and to us to finally be…"together." Isn't that right, George?" That hound is just asking for an earful as he smirked at the Pembroke.
George huffed, looking back at Adam. "Get that off your face, Adam."
"I'm only looking at you since we're happy you got to be here, but sure!" Adam nodded in understanding, a grin on his face.
"Cheers!" They all said in unison, except for George at a soft tone.
They did raised their drinks, though they had to adjust so that George can have his cup clinked with the rest, cheering as the group are back together. For now.
What happens next, well, OIivia continued a good 20 minutes silently hiccuping while doing her work, Adam and George attended their separate meetings, and Delphine finish off remaining financial tasks for report.
As the weather poured a rainfall, their coffee coating its warmth in their systems, and the meals settled in their tummies, they go about their day. Those minor distractions are not worth the time for their attention right now while working in their respective office space until the day welcomed the night. Some checked out early, others stayed for OT. The fatigue lingered to many, it always does. It is nothing new, but a turnaround would be appreciated. One thing is for certain though, today is just like any other day for the group.
may i please get some keith angst because i have fallen in love with this man and he has taken over my life 😂 maybe something with him feeling like the mc would like him better if he changed his personality, and the mc walks in on him having a bit of a breakdown and reassures him? i hope that’s not too much to ask, i really love your game and characters, they feel so real and complex and i love it!
Lies (GN!MC x Keith)
Took me a bit to figure out how I wanted to write this. Sorry for the wait.
× × ×
"Can you please stop doing that?" you say in a firm tone, overcome by frustration.
Keith rips his gaze from the ducks on the lake to look at you, startled and confused. "Stop doing... what?"
"You're picking your words and mannerisms again to please me. I told you to stop it." Your tone softens a bit, but the exasperation can still be heard clearly.
"I wasn't-"
"I'm not stupid, Keith. I can tell when you do it. You can't just lock away whatever part of yourself I haven't praised."
He falls silent. His hand tightens around the bag of birdseeds as returns his gaze to the water a few feet away from him.
You sigh. "Look, I know you want me to be happy with you. But I can't have a relationship with someone I don't even know at this point. I need you to stop lying and putting on masks. I'm your partner, you should be comfortable to be yourself around me. Have I really been so unaccepting?"
He looks scared all of a sudden and turns to you with wide eyes. "N-no! I... I'm sorry... I'll do better!"
You've heard that before. Keith must notice that you don't seem convinced, because the frightened look on his face doesn't leave. Neither of you knows what to say anymore, so you return to feeding the ducks in silence.
The walk back home is silent as well.
You want to say something to not leave the situation as it is, but you feel like you need to think it through first. There's few things you haven't already said to him that you'd thought would help.
Since it's been a long day and since it'll also help you collect your thoughts, you decide to take a shower.
You aren't sure how much time you spend in there. 30 minutes? Maybe an hour? When you walk out, you can't find Keith anywhere in the apartment. Eventually, you grab your phone to call him, but find a message from him instead.
"I'll be gone for a few hours. I probably won't answer the phone. But I'm okay and I'm not far. You can go to bed without me. Sorry."
You start to feel a bit guilty. Were you too harsh with him? Normally, he'll cling to you like glue unless you ask to be alone. At most, he'd let Tenebris take over. Is he really okay?
There's no way you can sleep before he comes back. You're beginning to worry now. But he didn't say where he'd gone, only that he wasn't far.
Some time passes. Two hours and he hasn't returned. The sun set a good while ago too. You can't seem to settle down either, pacing around the apartment, fidgeting whenever you try to sit in one place.
Where would he go at this time? The forest? You aren't sure if you want to go searching through it in the middle of the night. But what other place is close by that he'd go to at this hour?
Ah. Of course.
The door to the roof creaks a little as you close it behind you. It doesn't allert the figure standing by the edge. As you approach, you're relieved to find it is indeed him. He doesn't notice you until you reach his side, which startles him.
There are tears streaming down his face, his eyes are red and swollen. For how long has he been crying?
"Hey. I was worried," you say gently.
He wiped away the tears in a rush. "I'm sorry. I know you said you want me to be honest, but... I didn't want you to see me like this."
"It's okay. I understand..."
He shakes his head and grips his hair with both hands. "No, no, it's not. I keep disappointing you or making you feel bad. I keep messing up. And I could fix it if I'd just do what you tell me and be honest, but... but I'm so scared. I'm just a coward."
"Keith, really, it's alright. Maybe I've been too pushy. I-"
"No! No, no, don't say that." He tugs at his hair. More tears stream down his cheeks.
You stop speaking, not knowing what to say that won't hurt him further.
"It's all my fault. You deserve someone better. I want to be that someone. But that means I need to risk losing you. What if there's a part of me you can't stand? Or maybe I've just been showing you that part all this time and soon enough you'll get fed up and leave!"
"Keith, calm down. Breathe. I'm here, I'm not going anywhere." You gently reach for his hands to pull them away from his hair.
He looks at you, shaking and sobbing. You move your hands to his arms, wanting to hug him, but he gets ahead of you, lunging into you instead. He presses against you and grips you tight, a type of embrance you'd normally expect from Tenebris.
"Please don't leave. I'm trying to be better, I swear."
"I'm not leaving, I promise."
You hold him. Minutes go by like that, with him crying and gripping you like his life depends on it. Until his sobbing stops and his grip loosens into a more gentle embrance. When he pulls away, he doesn't meet your gaze.
"Keith. Look at me," you say. And he does, so you continue. "It's okay if you can't do it yet. I understand. I won't go. I ask you to be honest because I love you and I imagine living to please me isn't easy. I just want you to be happy and to feel at ease. I want you to trust me."
"I... I am happy! But..." He sighs. "I'm sorry. I'll try..."
"Let's go back inside, okay? And... next time I overwhelm you, please tell me. I know it's hard for you, but I don't want to hurt you."
He nods and follows you.
Dear Sephiroth: (a letter to a fictional character, because why not) #147
Today had a lot of stuff in it. I'm not even sure where to begin!! There were kites, and lilacs, and therapy, and good scenery, and...!!! And...!!! Oh!!! 😄🥰
Well. It's usually best to begin at the beginning, right? So… I went to therapy and told them all about the thing I did on Mother's Day. I told them all the context leading up to it, and all the similar struggles I've had in the past and about how I've been trying extra hard the last week to resist giving in to those struggles, and… my body was likely craving the endorphins that I wasn't getting because I wasn't doing that thing, and so it manifested in other ways. Whoops.
So the solution for the next time I struggle is not to resist giving in per se, but rather to be mindful and present and aware while it's happening, and to take note of my feelings and general state of being so that I can approach it from a place of curiosity instead of a place of shame. Apparently, when a person does that, it breaks the shame cycle, which then allows a person to stop doing the compulsive behavior. Suppose it's worth giving it a try!!
…It's really not lost on me how lucky I am to have a therapist who actually GETS me and doesn't judge me. It's not often that I get to go somewhere and speak, and feel like the other person actually understands me. Time with them is invariably refreshing, and they always have some useful skill or tool for me to practice on my own, until next session.
Most importantly, they're definitely not afraid to challenge my more... ah… self-effacing thought processes. I recall a few sessions ago, when I was confused about why someone important to me hangs out with me, on the basis that I am not anything special, and surely he must have better things to do than to hang out with some weird dyspraxic noodley dweeb like me. And they countered with, "But aren't all humans special and wonderful in their own way? And doesn't it mean that you're special and wonderful, too?" and… I couldn't logically refute the notion, because I am a human, and yes I do believe very strongly that all humans make the world brighter and beautiful in the way that only they know how to do. And they gave me this grin, because they knew they had me, and all I could do was laugh at my own silliness and try to change my perspective. I work every day on viewing myself with more compassionate eyes, one step at a time.
In any case, the one gentleman with the hair that looked like a dandelion poof was there today afterwards, and he stopped to chat! I wondered if he had ever tried bubble tea, and he has not, so we have exchanged contact information, and maybe we'll go get bubble tea someday!! He has been alive for 70 years, and has had many experiences and has his own areas of expertise, and I'm excited to find out what I might be able to learn if I sit with him and listen for a while! It'll be good!!
Then I got home and spent a few hours plucking more lilac blossoms from the greens; I got like 7 or 8 cups of blossoms, and there are still so many more leftover!
Once they're plucked, you have to steep them in hot water until it becomes fragrant. I like to put them on very low heat with a lid until it makes the house smell good!
(I still have so many lilacs leftover, oh my goodness!)
But this can take a while, and it was breezy, so J and I went out to try to fly the kites I got; I wanna practice before I modify that eagle kite; I REALLY don't want it to crash once it's ready. J and I took all sorts of pictures for you!
We spent a long time just being silly, trying to get the kites in the air:
(Why, yes, that is you in my pocket, with a little bow in your hair!)
...You might guess that after all that, I ended up falling down, dizzy and giggling, ahahaha~!
But then, after a while, we managed to get the hang of it; check it out!
J worked hard to get the eagle kite up. My circumstance was a little unusual in that mine was suddenly lifted high up into the sky with little to no effort on my part, and it stayed up for a very long time; I was surprised, and it was kinda weird, hahaha!
Br came to see us in this place, too!! By then, I was pretty tired though, so we just lied down in the grass and talked about various things while the wind played with our hair; it was wonderful!
...I also took some pictures of the scenery, just because I know you like nature...
...Oh, and I managed to snag a picture of a bird-of-prey that was actually pretty good this time!
Oh, oh, oh, and!!! Along the way, while we were flying the kites, I found three great big black feathers on the ground!! Aren't they so pretty?
Here's a better picture of them after I carefully washed them and smoothed them out. My hand is there for scale; they're HUGE!
They're beautiful and I love them!!! These went right into my feather box!!!! I was so happy!!! 😄🥰😁
...I hope you can see, with these pictures, that shiny black feathers like yours are beautiful and lovely, too. White ones are also nice. Feathers are just pretty; it doesn't matter what color they are. Yours, too, are good. Please try hard not to be ashamed of them, okay? Humans come in all shapes and sizes and numbers of limbs, and it's wonderful that you get to have a limb that's warm and soft and strong enough to let you fly. It's different, but that doesn't make it less. I hope you'll work on viewing yourself with more compassionate eyes; you can do it - just take it one step at a time.
Anyway, when we got home, the stewed lilac blossoms smelled SO GOOD:
I gotta strain this with a cheesecloth tomorrow and squish out all the water I can from the petals. After that, it'll be time to heat it up again and add sugar!! The result will be a syrup that tastes exactly the way lilacs smell!! I can't wait to put it in mason jars and give it to my friends!!!
...Sephiroth. I wish you were here. I wish you could fly the kites with us. I wish you could spin around and get dizzy and fall down laughing with us. I wish you could lie down in the soft grass and talk about various things with us. I wish you could look up at the sky, smell the scent of the leaves in the air, and enjoy the breeze as it ruffles your lovely hair. I wish you could try some of my lilac syrup in some freshly brewed green tea. I wish you can come here and see that you could be welcomed and wanted and happy. I wish you can see that you could belong. I wish for so many good and wholesome things.
...Please stay safe out there so that someday you can have these things, okay? Even if it's not at my house, you can have them somewhere if you're willing to heal enough to create these circumstances.
I love you. I'll write again soon.
Your friend, Lumine
Thess vs Treats
It has been a hideous day.
New Girl and The Other Part-Timer really went whole hog on pulling every single short report out of the queue, leaving me with all the Annoyances and the Monstrosities. (I differentiate because all Monstrosities are Annoyances, but not all Annoyances are Monstrosities, y'see.) I actually left a couple of the Monstrosities behind even in my two more hours of overtime because like hell am I going to take every single one of the Monstrosities just because Other Part-Timer and New Girl can't be arsed to do anything but the little simple ones, particularly when I should be getting the lion's share of those because they hurt me less.
Today was made especially fun when the cold landed me with a pinched nerve in my right shoulder in the mid-afternoon. Numb pain all the way down my arm, and it was effort not to scream when I moved. I had to take some of the mallet meds, which I almost never do during the day, because I legitimately could not cope otherwise. That dulled it some, and it's a little better now even with the mallet meds worn off thanks to a hot bath, but it still hurts. It doesn't help that these things are painful at the best of times, but one of fibromyalgia's main horrors is how it amplifies pain. Anyway, I had so many Monstrosities - mostly the ones who are learning the art of the cut-up and have a tendency to start dictating before they've done key parts of the cut-up, so they trip over new information and throw it in any old where, including the block key, which is only supposed to carry information about where the sample came from, nothing diagnostic. Also Annoyances - there's a half-dozen of them that read out the lab number on every single pot label even though we don't actually type those, and that generally adds time to a report that none of us enjoy taking, plus one of them either constantly gets a really shitty foot pedal or doesn't step on hers hard enough because I had to email her three times today because breaks in the dictation cut out key information from the report. Not what you want to do when your entire right arm is screaming.
And the numbers. Seriously. New Girl and Other Part-Timer managed about 40 reports apiece - the short, easy ones. I did 130 or so. And of course, none of them are working overtime. I get that it's easier for me to work overtime because I don't have to commute, but for fuck's sake, they could at least make my life easier in one aspect, since I'm giving up my evenings and probably my fucking Saturday to keep us from going under entirely. So if they're going to do so few anyway, why can't they take the Annoyances and Monstrosities? At least sometimes? Why can't they at least take things chronologically?
(Because they're lazy as fuck, that's why.)
So anyway, I ate a thing, and now I am settling in for the evening, and I will probably require more mallet meds soon, and ... okay, I'm not entirely grumbling but I am a little. See, when I did the whole Next Fest Demo thing, I budgeted for a couple that were coming out a bit before payday. I hadn't anticipated deciding, "Fuck it; I am going to see how Veilguard really is before I talk myself out of it again". Ah well. Payday in a week. I can live without Luma Island for a week, and it'll still be on sale then, so it's fine. Besides, I have a Rook to get through the end of the world and the death of the gods and everything. Not entirely sure that's a thing I have the spoons for right now, though. Which sucks because I'm at the climax of Lucanis' and Bellara's companion questlines, but ... you know, right arm, ow. I'll see how I feel after I finish my hot chocolate and let my mallet meds kick in.
Horus Rising 8
back over to Murder
lucius for once in his life is the voice of practicality and is like "we might need those charges for later"
tarvitz figures that they're all going to die and the only thing they can hope for is to take out as many of the enemy as they can but he can't say that to lucius of course "Lucius' brand of courage admitted no reality" i.e. it'll just start an argument they nearly get got by the flying spiders while they're leaving the charges
it's still wild that this move actually ended up doing something useful
Saul can tell Eidolon is seething Eidolon asks for proof about the Blood Angels being on the trees Tarvitz: my word is proof luckily Anteus smooths over the situation and says that's enough Eidolon rags on Tarvitz for setting off the charges Lucius: I told you so he then gets on Lucius' case about the megarachnid limb he's using as a sword
again it's no wonder that the Emperor's Children are so small i mean in numbers, i don't think they're short
so i was talking on tumblr the other day about the Britishness of these novels and honestly the EC are very on the nose
Lucius grumbles as the two of them go off they have some fun conversation lol
lucius: i made a mistake too. i shouldn't have used the xenos arm saul: i told you so and lucius goes "you did" and apologizes for mocking saul and says that he appreciates him as a friend and a bunch of other nice things they're cool again
yyyyep they spend a few hours sifting through the ash and find a few things and then someone finds an injured megarachnid lol it's pretty close to dead and not that hard to kill but it nearly kills one of them by surprise
ah the return of the megarachnids! you'll never expect what they're up to
they're rebuilding the trees! so there's a desperate battle vs the megachnids that isn't going well and then drop pods!
yeah the luna wolves are here!
we're jumping back in time again so the Luna Wolves were a little cruel, as Loken thinks, and didn't warn the Blood Angels ship exactly who was coming
poor August just freezes in shock the equerry dude hisses at him to abase himself "i don't remember how"
okay we're starting to get a little into the silly zone with the shilling Horus chatters a little about how he hates ceremony and puts everyone at ease he'd won them over, just like that, Loken notes, the whole crew that was there however there's a sour note, Loken detects something off about Eshkerrus the Equerry to clarify, he's Eidolon's equerry council time
RIP August he's quivering like a bowl full of jelly
"it happens sometimes" lol loken asks why the emperor's children didn't consider waiting for the luna wolves eshkerrus: we were the first on scene
so i guess Eidolon is a known quantity Eshkerrus feels like the honour of the Emperor's Children has been greatly offended torgaddon: that might be what i'm doing, yes and we continue our casting of the emperor's children as the obnoxious upper class twits
you can hear the exact accent
Horus calls off the mournival lol and says his report isn't going to blame anyone the luna wolves are going to figure out what to do next
so, they needed to do the yelling for him this allows him to look like the peacemaker, as Aximand points out i do enjoy seeing some actual competence from primarchs rather than just being told its there and seeing them act like children
horus to the mournival: well played. especially that last comment they haven't made any friends with the Emperor's Children but then they don't have to lol
of course these dudes are going to get charged with incompetence once this whole thing is over with but for now they have to you know save some lives oh hey it's our old friend orbital bombardment torgaddon's suggestion lol horus speaks in cthonic to the group
Horus is also still wondering what's up with the music so, he says no to Torgaddon's request they get interrupted at that point because they managed to get traces of vox traffic on the surface so they know there are survivors so that tips Horus into agreeing
also the Mournival are genuinely bros Loken is really one of the group now
see what i mean this reread is also really having me appreciate aximand, i don't think i really got him the first time i read it
time for a flashback to the secret society meeting!
ooof
he gets there and goes through the opening ceremony…and everyone there is his friends his besties from before he joined the mournival, tarik…
so they only brought him in because of what he found after jubal's death and what he was like
loken: all right im out loken: i'm disappointed in all of you loken: the emperor does not approve
ow well there's a lot going on the emperor, fundamentally, can only have hierarchical relationships and ones where he is at the top maybe at one point it wasn't like this but it sure has been the case for a while the main ow is for the last paragraph well one of the things the book is looking at is the whole idea of treating people as weapons and how this might work for a time but the cracks start showing targhost, the lodge master, traces its origins all the way back through the unification wars though the scale he's using here doesn't match what later gets established nvm i misread he's saying they predate the legions and got grandfathered in (heh) torgaddon uses the bundle of sticks metaphor loken thinks it's a stupid metaphor lol ekaddon makes up with loken i don't think i mentioned but they had some beef earlier basically now that he can see loken as a person outside of being his commanding officer he can get where he's coming from a lot better
you know that's surprisingly mature okay party time
eat some vegetables people i beg you you need your vitamins
so the mournival came out of the lodges aximand explains the rules, it's basically just like fight club
OH THIS BIT
;-;
they really are a bunch of teenagers it's funny but also sad
loken has been well indoctrinated okay i can't remember the other bit rn that ties this thought together but like this plus other stuff shows how much he hangs out with the iterators like, he's correct here, lol but also him getting stuck on this point and the way he does gahhh i can't figure out how to explain it
A Night at the Drive-in with the Volturi masters
A Night at the Drive-In with the Volturi masters
Summer fun with the Volturi masters series
Volturi masters x Reader
Some smut, but they're mates after all.
oooooooooooooooooooo
It had been awhile since you had taken a group trip with the masters, and you missed them. Now that you were officially Marcus' mate, perhaps Aro thought you didn't need your little outings anymore. You had read an article in a magazine about one of the few remaining movie drive-ins left in Italy. It intrigued you because you had lived on the cusp of their existence. You would go to one of two that were in your home town with friends during high school. You'd all chip in for pizza and cans of cold soda so you could skip the snack bar altogether, unless you happened to run into other friends enjoying the Friday night ritual.
Then it all changed when walk-in theatres were born. Both drive-ins in your home town were still open, but one served as a flea market on weekends. You ran to find Aro to see if he might be interested in going. And if you had your way, it would be in his roomy Bentley. You knock on his office door, opening it when you hear him say 'Come in.'
"Good morning, my dear. Do you need something?" Aro asked, looking up from the papers lying on his desk.
"Aro, I was wondering, if you would still be interested in experiencing bits of being human." You sat down on the chair facing him.
"What have you in mind?" he asks you, curious.
"I read that there is still a real movie drive-in...in Milan." You mumble the last two words, but Aro hears it, of course.
"Milan!"
"It's only a four hour drive, and none of you has to sleep. I'll nap in the back with Marcus. As long as we get there before dusk, we'll be on time. After the film is over, you can drive us back home where I'll go to sleep for two days."
The Volturi master looks at you, seeing your eagerness expressed in your eyes. "Two days. Oh very well, my dear. And what is the film?"
"It's nostalgia night, so they're showing an older American film, '2012'. It'll be in Italian, but I've seen it so many times, I know some of the lines by heart, and the basic storyline too."
"You've seen it?"
"Oh yes, I never missed a good disaster movie."
"Ah, so this film is about a disaster?" Aro asks you.
You smile and reply, "If you consider the end of the world a disaster, I guess so."
"I'm sure Caius will thoroughly enjoy it then," Aro says, rising from his chair.
He puts his arm around your shouders as he walks you from his office and down one of the corridors.
"But, Aro, don't you ever worry about the end of the world for vampires? I suppose if it were a pandemic, it wouldn't harm your kind, but with your food source wiped out..."
"I see your point, my dear. What cannot harm us, can still end up killing us."
"Well, while we watch the film, you can tell me what would and would not kill you."
"Yes, yes, dear one. Now get the things you will need, and we will leave this afternoon."
"Hmm, I'll need a pillow and blanket, and some snacks. I'll see what the chef has in the way of leftovers. Thank you, Aro." You give him a tight hug and run off to the kitchen before the chef has left for the night.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
The drive to Milan was uneventful, and you were soon at the drive-in. Once Aro paid, the car was waved in. You showed him where to go to park the car.
"Just park next to the sound post. Open the window part way, then pull the speaker in through the window and hang it on the glass." Once the sound was tested and you heard it working, you sat back and praised Aro for managing another human job.
Aro raised an eyebrow at your comment, not sure if he should feel insulted.
The movie starts and everyone goes quiet while watching. It isn't long before the foreshadowing of the major disaster begins.
Since you had been relegated to the back seat with Marcus, you decided to educate him on the etiquette of going to a drive-in and not watch the movie. Snuggling against him, your hand slipped up to his neck and circled around it. You looked up into his face when he turned to you, pulling on his hair gently. He complied and lowered his head to capture your lips with his own. When you were unable to hold in a moan, Caius turned around and glared at you both.
"Is that why you wanted to come here?" he asked, annoyed. "And why are you dressed in your sleepwear?"
"Tradition, Caius. You wear your pajamas to the drive-in. Well, children do, but I wanted to tonight." You glare back at the blonde vampire. "Why don't you be a darling, and go get me some popcorn and a Coke from the snack bar. Please?"
"You brought snacks. Why do you require more?" Caius demanded.
"Brother, be quiet. I'm watching the movie," Aro says, hushing Caius.
"Gee, I don't know. Maybe because I want popcorn. And I can't have popcorn without Coke. I don't query you about your eating habits, Caius." When your tormentor smirks at you, you know your leg is being pulled. "You're missing the part when California falls into the ocean."
Marcus's hands were not still, while you were trying to find a way to get rid of the other masters, if only for a bit. "You could go with him, Aro. Mingle with the humans, check things out. For about twenty minutes?" You laugh when Marcus' fingers tickle you. You see Caius scowl.
"Why are you so unhappy, Caius. You got to sit in the front seat. What more do you want?"
"Alright, if we go to the snack bar, may we partake in a snack ourselves?" Caius asked playfully.
You had thrown your head back when Marcus began kissing and sucking on your sensitive neck. Distracted, you replied, "Mmmm...sure, Caius. Just be sure to hide the evidence."
Caius looks at Aro, shocked. "She doesn't care!"
Once the pair of vampires left the car and headed for the snack bar, Marcus begins to kiss you, his hands sliding up under you nightgown, seeking your breasts.
Your hands are not still either, and move to Marcus' lap, stroking the hardened length you can feel through the fabric of his slacks. You like the roominess of Aro's Bentley, and take advantage of the space, by lifting up your nightgown and straddling Marcus' lap. You slide down the zipper, and with Marcus' help, you manage to slide his slacks off his hips.
Since you're already wet with desire, Marcus slides into you easily. You gasp, but urge him to thrust deeply into you. Your hands grip his shoulders while you ride your mate. You kiss him while his hands are on you, squeezing your breasts, the nipples taut. Your fear of Aro and Caius returning spurs you on, as you take Marcus inside you. Finally, you lean into him while you kiss his neck. You try to hold in the groans so as not to alert the occupants of the neighboring cars. Your inner muscles grip Marcus' cock, you feeling the cold emission as he fills you. You know you will have bruises by morning, he grips your body so hard.
You sit on your mate's lap, waiting to come down from your sexual high, your heart beating hard.
"I love you, il mio cuore," Marcus whispers to you.
"I love you, Marcus, and I always will," you say.
You rise up off his lap, and set your nightgown to rights. And just in time.
When Aro and Caius returned, Aro took his place behind the steering wheel, while Caius opened the back door, forcing himself next to you, not that you minded sitting closer to Marcus, but you wondered what in the hell Caius was doing.
Caius smirked, unseen by you in in the darkness. The smell of sex hung heavy in the air, making Caius feel like teasing you all the more.
"Your popcorn and Coke, princess," Caius says with such exaggeration, it makes you laugh.
"Thank you, my slave," you reply, stifling your laughter.
"Your what?" the blonde says a bit too loudly.
"Brother, you're attracting attention," Aro warns.
"My 'mistress' demands my attention, brother." He leans over, grabbing your chin and kissing you. You melt into the kiss you know is Caius' way of teasing you, but you were not Marcus' mate back then.
Marcus feels protective of you and grabs Caius' wrist. "Brother, shouldn't you go back up front?"
You give Caius a wink when he opens the back door and gets out. He jumps into the front seat and goes back to watching the movie. You see Yellowstone blowing up, and wonder what Aro thinks of it.
"Aro, has anything in the film shown to be a danger to your kind, in a truly fatal final-death kind of way?" you ask, while eating the popcorn and drinking the soda.
"Most of the disasters would not be fatal as long as land remained. The fire would be a problem, however," he pointed out. "And the loss of so many humans could be an issue, for obvious reasons, dear one. Fortunately, our kind do not come close to outnumbering humans, and you do breed prolifically."
The whole get-to-the-arks scene comes and goes, and soon, the film is over.
You've fallen asleep on Marcus, right in the middle of you two discussing the film. His arm encloses you within its comforting circle, making you unconsciously snuggle closer, the blanket wrapped around you. He kisses your forehead and whispers endearments to you.
Caius turns around and can't help but smile at you. He may tease you terribly, but he loves you all the same. You are one sister he intends never to lose. He looks at Marcus, who smiles at his vampire brother and nods knowingly. He turns back to face forward and turns the radio on low so as not to completely disturb you.
Marcus brushes his thumb over your lips. "I love you, cara mia."
"I love you, Marcus," you say, before nestling against his cool body.
Marcus leans his head against yours, while you sleep contentedly next to your mate for the ride back to Volterra.
Realised I never did this, so here's a transcription of cata's pass the world 2 segment! Took me 25 minutes for the "slower" part, and 9 minutes for the last minute lol
(First one was 976 words, this one was 1227 words)
Under the cut because it's basically a wall of text
[rustling]
[sounds of a mothman rising out of a box]
I still haven't found my cultist mask-
[balloon sounds]
Hello everyone, it's a-me, Cata-calysmic, and much to Throabbin's dismay, I've got access to more helium, because I turned 30. Huz-zahh.
Anyways, we're back for another episode of Pass the World! I'm number 6 and I best get started, because I've got three hours to work, and five minutes to make it into a video, so let's crack on with all the nonsense we got doing- YAAAAA-HAHA-HEYYY
Ah, good old helium, so fun to use- aanyways, certainly wasn't the place I was expecting to spawn, and I can see the no communication thing is already being broken by these signs.
[bu-bu-bu-bu throaarbin that looks like uuh communication right theere and aaaccording to the title there's *clearly* supposed to be uh no communication so uhh i think that you uh-]
Ah well, rules were made to be broken.
And of course before anything begins I must do the most important thing!
*Cover me in vanity, COVER ME IN VANITY- OHhhah-*that's better
I entered this hole which I assume is the main entrance, aand- uuhm- ookay, I've never played the Zenith seed before or Legendary, and judging by all these gravestones, I'm in for one heck of a time!
My first job is to find a pylon so I can teleport down to the hell base, why we started in the sky is completely unknown to me, whatever.
*Creepa, aw ma-hahehh*
But now I'm here, I can teleport down *here* and uh, haeh. Chests. Let's hope they're better organised than last time.
Ah well bugger me, they've actually labelled them this time, huzzah, that saves some time.
I had a quick ponder, wondering where I was in progression, and it would appear, judging by this sign, and this ridiculous bridge, that we're on the Wall of Flesh. I know for an absolute fact that I am not going to be able to deal with that thing, because of the imps! So we're going to go with a different plan, but that requires a ridiculous amount of work, so let's crack on with it.
I bought a bunch of dynamite and acquired a bunch of track, luckily for me one of these chests had two of those things in abundance, so that's gonna save me some time and money.
Building this track was absolutely *infuriating.*
Every- single- time I got back on the minecart and placed a single bloomin' track, we had baets and slimes and demons everywhere.
Kill 'em all off, get back on the track, place a track, *and they all come back again*. Ridiculous- it took me for-ever to build this track- if they just left me alone, maybe things would have gone better but this is Zenith, of course it'll be hair-rippingly difficult-
Why did they [micbonk] choose this, what's wrong with you people?!
There's no peace- it's endless- death after death after death just trying to build a railway system to fight a wall-
I also forgot about the Queen Bees that spawn down here- I blew one up, I got killed by it, I then went straight back, blew another one up, and got killed by it, I then went straight back and completely forgot about it and I just blew another one up and got killed by that one!
At least I learnt my lesson but only after I saw three of them *in a row* what is this nonsense- look at it!!
Anyways after wasting a whole hour on building this lot, I utilised the ridiculous amount of platinum I've been storing up after killing all of these things- burnt through every single bit of it trying to modify a few things- look at this nonsense, it just keeps going!
And then we summon the Wall of Flesh! At first we did get our (ass) kicked *just* a little bit because those imps and their fireballs are *brutal*. But after a while they just seemed to fade away, I guess they have nowhere to teleport properly to actually shoot me.
Aand with the last speck of track we have remaining- Wall of Flesh dies, and I need to go change my pants.
I make a mad dash for the surface using the hole I came in at the beginning, went straight over to the crimson and broke every single altar I could find, avoiding all the stuff coming my way.
I was a moth on a mission and I needed those altars.
Now for the boring part- I mined cobalt, turned it into bars, made a pickaxe. Got mythril, turned it into bars, made the anvil, made a pickaxe. Mine titanium, got an adamantite forge, turn the titanium into bars, made the armour, made the repeater, and finally got to carry on with hardmode!
And during all that nonsense a Jungle Mimic appeared, I tried my best to kill it and it just *disappeared offscreen*
And the *hornets*. The *hornets*. They would *not leave me alone*
Oh core blimey, I'm running out of time, UUHM
I went up into space cause I needed to get some wyverns cause I needed souls of flight and instead I ended up leaving the earth's orbit.
Did I learn from that? No I didn't cause I immediately did it again.
After killing two wyverns I realied I had no souls of night, so I went straight off to the crimson to go get some and died three times while doing it.
My goal here was to kill Mechdusa but I didn't realise what I was getting myself in for.
After a bunch of farming I had enough materials to make two of the summons. I summoned the first one in hell, that was a really bad idea, I don't know what I was doing but I died while trying.
I then had a plan of action and went all the way back up to the surface and then fought it up there, but for some reason, the Twins and Prime despawned, so all I was doing was fighting Destroyer.
I managed to kill Destroyer luckily, but it took 7 whole minutes to do it, and then died to a wyvern.
Since I know I wouldn't be able to kill it, I instead decided to go all the way to the beach because I wanted to fight Duke Fishron cause I 'ot one summon.
However I knew getting there would be an absolute nightmare so instead I went to the aether so I could build a home there, and then put a pylon down.
After placing a pylon I then blew a hole all the way down to it so I could then get to the ocean easier, and then made a home, so I could then [how do i transcribe this]
Conveniently, this part is completely free of any evil so that means npcs can be here, fantastic.
After quickly building an arena I summoned Duke Fishron, got it to half health, then died to it anyways, so that's the end of that.
I went back, placed my own sign cause I guess communication is absolutely fine now-
Took off my armour, and closed.
Anyways, thank you again Throabbin' for letting me join in on this little bit of fun in Pass the World.
I'm off.
Happy birthday @vodka-glrl ! Woah I swear it's second special for you yayy!! This time Ga ming ^^ Hopefully he was the right choice <3
But fiiiirst... Happy Birthday vodka!! You're really brave person and I know you're trying very hard every day and you're amazing for at least that <3 So hopefully this fic will be like a little sweet in this special day! I really hope you'll like it!
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ Birthday letter
❝Well hello vodka!
If you're reading this, that means the letter I dropped at your house wasn't so hard to find after all! And trust me, I definitely was worried about that you'll miss it...
But back to our subject... happy birthday to THE one and only, most perfect girl on this world!! You! Life was hard recently so why don't we shut everyone and just relax? I cleared my schedule for today, got some dim sum to go and even found a spot with unforgettable views~ So? What do you say? Wanna spend this year's birthday with me?
If sooo, just come to Qiaoying Village! I'll be probably hanging around there... just find comfortable spot and I'll find you!
- Ga ming ♡❞
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ Birthday party
↳ ❝ Lively party ❞
You still had a bit less than half an hour time before guests start coming to your party. Yet a familiar brown eyed boy showed in your doorframe early.
"Hey, hey! Isn't that the birthday girl~?"
Ga ming greeted you quite loudly and immidietly handed you his birthday gift meant for you.
"Wow, thanks! You didn't and to come this early tho, y'know?"
"Well maybe. But I wanted to make sure my gift is the first you open! And help you with setting everything up? Need me to drop by store and get some snacks?"
"No, no... I got everything. Just decorating and setting up the tables..."
"Let me help then! It'll be faster if we both take care of it!"
You knew Ga ming for long enough to know there's no use in arguing about it, since he'll achieve his goals anyway. He can be easy to talk with but not when there's helping his lover on the line! He could never leave you with a task like THAT!
"And after we're done, we can finally sit and relax together before the party of the year!"
↳ ❝ Calm party ❞
This birthday just didn't felt like it was meant to be a lively one... yet you still wanted to celebrate! And who could be better company than your own boyfriend?
Ga ming immidietly agreed on the idea of not telling anyone about today special evening, as it was meant for just you two alone and of course he wanted this day to be special for you as much as possible! He even brough your favorite cake with a little gift~
"So! When are you gonna open it?"
He leaned on the counter as you cut the cake, seemingly too excited to see your reaction to just sit down and stop jumping around like a toddler who ate too much sugar.
"Give me just one second and I will..."
"Oh c'mon! I can cut the cake for you! I know you're curious~"
He was already waiting for you to handle him the knife and when you did, you could see his smile spread. You finally opened the box from him where you found fluffy teddybear, few sweets and... another small box! In which you found ruby necklace~
"Aaand~?"
When you looked up, you noticed how excited he was and that the knife was laying on counter, cake completely untouched. Even tho, you couldn't bring yourself to scold him, especially when he already got you this much.
"It's perfect!! I love it!"
"Seriously?! Ah, I'm so glad! You don't know how worried I was...!"
He quickly hugged you tightly, happy that his idea turned out this nicely. But soon he took a step back to look at you, his smile only spreading adoringly with every passing second.
"C'mon, put it on! Or do you want me to help you? I guess it might be easier if someone put's the necklace on for you..."
﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌
No tags because it's meant for just vodka alone!
