underrated thing I love that I do not think about, use, or appreciate often enough: when a character is doing the objectively right thing, an objectively good thing....but so vindictively. like with just the bitchiest attitude. like they're for sure being kind and right but with the bitchiest, snarky attitude. I love that.

#i feel like is especially good in star wars #especially with jedi characters #so it's like there's no ~drama~ about the dark side or whatever they're objectively doing good #but just very bitchily #i love it #anyways post inspired by current wip #i finally worked out the convoluted plot and it's counter-plot #and realized that it totally fits that cere's whole counter-plot -- while objectively good and focused on that primarily--#is almost entirely based on systematically tearing apart a nasty comment the antagonist makes near the beginning #so she's just like yup saving everyone preventing great harm....while also being like (internally) '...bitch #'we'll see about that'#like I'm just picturing her coming up with this plan to save everyone while repeated that comment in her head in a mocking tone #it was kind of an accident she doesn't originally hear that comment #but as i was coming up with the most logical plan i realized what made the most sense and caused the fewest plot holes (hopefully)#was essentially directly countering everything in this nasty comment #so i moved it to a part of the sequence she was in the room for lol #and now she gets to plot while being like 'i HaVe AlL tHe PoWeR....get wrecked asshole'

thinking about how the only time bobby and cas interact in season four is when he knocks him out cold to talk to dean alone. and the next time bobby sees him, cas is powerless and just comes to steal dean's necklace in a weird interaction that had to be filmed close-up because dean and cas are just inches from each other's face. the next time is an offscreen interaction where he just gets dean's address from bobby and probably left immediately after. combine this with the fact that bobby knew dean had a male siren the season before (and tried to be supportive) and let cas be in the family photo a few episodes later, there is a nonzero chance bobby singer was the first destiel shipper.

A new critter!!! I have finally figured out what the Bonster looks like.

They're some kind of frog creature with horns and tusks... or is it fluff?! Hard to tell. Their hat is really a big tail they can cook things in and also WHAP against the ground when they're mad!!!

They're slightly smaller than the other critters. Here's a Fritter for scale:

Before i got it #It finally clicked when i realised i was trying to hard to make them look like a real animal when theyre just meant to be a #miniature representation of the character. and thus: SCRUFFY!!! Then I didn't want to upload it.#Because I knew I would be here in the tags writing and backspacing for hours trying to articulate my thoughts.#I'm going to talk about death and grief in the tags today so this is your WARNING to look away if you aren't in a headspace for it.#Sometimes in media there are scenes and characters which land on topics so specific to your wounds that it reopens them all over again.#Because here's the truth. When you've known someone like this for nearly your whole life...it doesn't matter how bad the fight is.#You always think 'We'll always have time. One day this dust will settle and we'll rebuild the bridge.'#And then the fucker dies!!! He dies and suddenly there will never ever be time to repair the rift.#Someone you loved died thinking you hated them. And part of you did just a bit. But love and hate aren't mutually exclusive.#He's fucking dead and you are left with so many broken and unfinished pieces between the two of you.#Jiang Cheng loses Wei Wuxian thinking that WWX thought they hated each other.#He's a younger brother who will one day be older than the person he lost.#Who has no one else in the world who understands those feelings of love and hate and grief.#I can't be normal about this character. I don't think he even heals me. Zero catharsis to be gained here.#I just look at his sour grape ass and think 'shit that's a little too close to home.'
