There's some real funny character stuff that occurs post-no-mercy and into a true pacifist.
Chara seemingly returns to their old self, as the narrator, on that post-geno-pascifist. Frisk still gives their name as Frisk at the end.
The game is actually pretty forgiving about both geno and pascifist. Because there's nothing in either or that suggests that the world has fundamentally changed.
... But Chara, isn't forgiving.
Undertale falls with the idea that the characters are people. It asks "if a protagonist can actually Save their Game in real life, how would that affect the world and its people?", It follows every trope when it comes to RPG monsters, asking "If our hero is so heroic, what about all those monsters they slaughtered by the hundreds to get to the end?"
Its a deconstruction on the ideas of RPG. Most of the time, it reconstructs just as well, letting you explore what you'd like and still making it just in time for a happy ending...
... Until you decide to go on a killing spree.
In a reset post-geno, you have only one LV. By the end, the kid we've been playing identifies themselves as Frisk. Chara is still the Fallen Child we name, and is still the fairly amicable narrator.
Until the end.
If we choose for Frisk to leave Toriel (to... gods knows where), the picture we receive has all our "friends" crossed out, and the character of Frisk replaced with Chara.
( This might imply that they went after our friends... but truth is, at 1 LV, shared between Frisk and Chara, they have no killing intent at all. )
Crossing out this picture is a "Fuck You" to Chara. Frisk and Chara finally get a happy ending... but you, the Player? Absolutely Not. Chara won't allow it.
If we choose for Frisk to go with Toriel, Frisk lives with her and can be found sleeping in a bedroom as we watch. Once Toriel leaves a pie slice, Chara turns over and stares at our "camera".
( Still LV1, you can't get the true pacifist run without LV1 )
All this shows...
That Chara and Frisk share the LV. And about after Ruins, in Geno, is where Chara just takes center stage. Only in aborted runs or resets, does the stage return to Frisk and Chara chills out.
That Souls transcend Time and Space. Its the only way Chara would know enough or be around enough, to know what we the player did in a post-geno-pascifist world and ending.
Neither Frisk nor Chara control the Red Heart. We do, the Player. Even though the Red Heart is Frisk's soul, and that Chara is attached to it because Chara is a post-mortem consciouss that should have a Human soul, and persumably, their soul was Red too. ( I would've said that we don't know, because there were other humans... but Chara's speech in Geno specify Frisk. )
Frisk, cannot do a genocide route. At the start of it, Chara takes over right away, and stops talking to Frisk, and starts talking to Us. in every Neutral and Pacifist Route, Chara talks to Frisk. In Geno, Chara takes over, and Frisk isn't a factor. But once Chara gets the Red Soul, from us the Player, Chara will willfully just go back to talking to Frisk. Until we, the player, try to get involved in the ending scene--in which case, Chara takes right back over.
Chara encourages mercy and mischief, when someone is playing the game to be merciful. Very rarely do they interfere with the choice (one known exception is refusing to allow crying), and only in the true lab does Frisk interfere with Chara's set choices... of which Chara will staunchly back up Frisk's reactions from then on.
Even post Geno, Chara encourages mercy and mischief, but this is more specifically pointed to Frisk.
( Because if Chara just wanted to screw everyone, why wait for a geno-play? Why not just do it in a regular True Pacifist... Its because they don't actually want a Genocide. Who does? )
Chara wants to help, and protect, Frisk, as the "narrator".
They read to Frisk, they understand Froggits for Frisk, they give options, give descriptions. (I've got my own personal HC about who exactly is reading the HP, EXP, LV, ATK and DEF, because I'm pretty certain Chara isn't that indepth about monsters they couldn't have possibly met.. but they're definitely the flavor Texts and Descrptions). They kinda translate Frisk for Us the Players, so they do semi-know that there's a third (HC: Or fourth) party here.
( I believe the reason why ties into how the Red Soul operates as a human soul. Free Movement? Prime power to escape nearly any situation? Red Monster Magic about alarms and warnings? Red Text meaning Danger? The Red soul pays attention to Danger, and its first instinict is to Flee--thusly, Frisk is actually a pretty scarred kid. )
Chara's first instinict upon waking up to Frisk, inspite of how much others have claimed that Chara hated humanity... was to help by any means necessary with what little they can do. Especially since Frisk is a scared kid who doesn't know what to do at all.
So when that allpowerful third-forth party comes in, and decides that death by any means necessary is the goal...
What's Chara to do, except, take the brunt of it instead? Let Frisk take the backseat, and Chara does the dirty work so that Frisk doesn't get hurt.
Then Chara performs their ultimatum. They sever our connection to the world, and it stays dead, or we give them the Red Soul.
And upon taking the red Soul, Chara seemingly returns to just the merciful-mischievous narrator, at LV1, with Frisk.
... Only now, they stay with Frisk. And when it looks like that we, the player, are looking at them outside of the underground--Chara looks Back.
They took the red soul to ensure this little kid, Never Gets Bothered or Hurt by Us again.
ADDENDUM:
This ain't the first time in anime fiction where a dead semi-psychotic seemingly soulless spirit, fond of mercy and mischief but also fond of giving those with ill-intent their just rewards, who possesses a younger soul and bolsters and protect them.
Who woke up confused about where they were and what was going on.
Who definitely got themselves killed pulling something that didn't work, and they still had to fix it after they was dead.
Who's actions did result in a friend of theirs becoming a total asshole in his next life.
Who has played both psycho and savior.
And was a royal child.
... And y'know, they just happen to like children's card games.

Oh! What are your headcanons for frisk? I know we don't know much about them in canon so it's hard to extrapolate but I'm still curious
oh sure! mind, these are all personal headcanon, as there isn't all that much canon info i can go off of, HAHAHA
obviously I don't think frisk had a happy home life, just like chara. but while chara's abuse was more active, i think frisk's abuse came from neglect rather than outright hostility or violence from the people around them. maybe they were a single, unwanted child. maybe they were among the last of many, many siblings. too many to be notable... or missed. so they left.
by the time the game starts, they've already been living on the streets (of the city that became of the village of the humans that chara was born in) for a few years. they get by with their wits. i think they're VERY clever, unnaturally so for their age, and judging from their ability to talk/charm themself into and out of anything in the game, they probably refined that skill for survival (you make yourself liked enough, people are quicker to show you kindness. leftover food, a dry shop window to sleep in at night, some used clothes).
undertale itself raises the question of why frisk climbed Mt Ebott. i like the idea that it was a force outside of themself. like a sudden, SOUL deep tension that would only release if they followed the call. an intrinsic certainty that, somewhere, somehow, someone really needed them. maybe it was fate. maybe it wasn't. maybe they were tied to chara's spirit long before they ever fell (by blood, as a long descendant? by magic? both?) and they were reacting to flowey calling out for them. point is, they felt the instinct, and they followed it.
because here's the thing: in my take on this, frisk desperately wants to be needed. that's what ties them so closely to chara. going with the more literal interpretation of them as a ghost, chara still has unfinished business in the underground. they haunt their former home, much like flowey did, and they NEED to see more of it, they just can't let it go. and they can't do it without frisk. they need them. so frisk goes along, because FINALLY, they're needed. that's why they reset at the end and try again, that's why they keep returning to the underground. but of course, chara isn't the only undertale character who needs frisk. the entirety of monsterkind does, and the entirety of monsterkind gets better thanks to their intervention. flowey, too. asriel, too. that's what resolves chara's unfinished business and allows them to finally let go (i mean... as long as YOU do, too, of course :])
and this is precisely the reason I'm not a fan of making frisk traumatized by their experiences in the underground. having leftover baggage from before they came? love that. but the whole point of their journey, to me, is that they were the single most powerful being in the entire story. the amount of liberties they could take, with their actions, with their words, with their own person, due to the sheer scale of power they had on everything else.. sure there was violence, and fear, and adventures and misadventures and betrayals, but when you can literally control time, i think that was almost euphoric for them.
after the life they used to lead, i like to think frisk saw their experiences in the underground as positive. no more powerlessness. no more loneliness. finally in (shared) control of their life. was it maladaptive as hell? yeah! but it was better than nothing! and if you've been following me for more than a month, you'll know by now that i am obsessed with the idea of a post pacifist, reset-heavy frisk freaking out AFTER their happy ever after, when chara doesn't follow them out of mt ebott and takes the SAVE power along with them (which is... kinda what happens in the game). being back to square one would mess them Up. fortunately, they now have a whole support system of family and friends who love them to make them feel needed and safe. it's gonna take some work, but man. it's gonna be worth it.

So, I have some important Flowey thoughts that I want to share. 🌻
Flowey never intended for any deaths he caused to be permanent.
As soon as he started believing that he was living in a game and could just Reset if he made a mistake or didn't like something, he started to play with people's lives because nothing mattered to him anymore and he, I quote, "was bored".
I'm not excusing his murderous and soulless behavior, I'm fully aware that he's completely messed up in the head and needs intense therapy.
Also, I have a theory that he kills only to go back and Reset and bring his victims back to life is probably some how therapeutic for him because he has the power to return life.
...Something that he was never able to do for Chara, I'm certain that he may even tried to somehow hack his power to try to bring Chara back to life.
Again, I'm not excusing his behavior, but if you had been traumatized as child and then thrust into a strange body and no longer felt anymore compassion and had the power to control time...
Wouldn't you eventually do some screwed up shit too if you knew you that it wouldn't make you feel guilty and make everyone forget your crime by rewinding time?
Now lets talk about the monsters who do not have Flowey's power.
Specifically the one's who are trying to actively trying to permanently kill Frisk for their soul.
They are desperate to break the barrier to be free, so much so that they are willing to kill a child for it to help their beloved King.
It's no wonder why Flowey believes 'It's kill or be killed' at the beginning of the game, he was a child when humans attacked and fatally killed him, and then the next thing he knows, his kind peaceful father has now called on all the other monsters in the Underground to attack and kill humans to take their souls just so he would have the ability to take revenge.
Asriel/Flowey believes that everyone has an evil side and killing is the answer because that was what he was traumatized into believing.
He also believes that killing and being evil will protect him from being harmed like he was when he was kind and gentle.
He genuinely believes that kindness is weakness because that's what got him killed in the first place.
And in the Pacifist route, thanks to Frisk (and Chara) he unlearns so many terrible beliefs and realizes that literally not everyone is as horrible as he thought.
He then dawns a new way of living (my favorite quote from the game) Don't Kill and Don't Be Killed.

Why do you ship Sans x Frisk? As a person who ships them myself, what do you see in them, like about them? Personality traits, situations, tropes etc, anything that comes to mind, what makes you enjoy them and continue to breathe life to them?
Omg ok sooo... When I realized I was already shipping Sans and Frisk, maybe because I love the trope of the funny ironic character who has secrets and the silent protagonist who have a lot of will and power. I also have a soft spot for monster x human interactions, relationships and seeing several AUs with the two of them was what made me like it even more.
I think I liked them visually because the sprites in the game are so cute and the same size and the colors match and so on. I also see Sans more as a teenager and Frisk as well so i almost always draw and write them close. Frisk have a lot of secrets that Sans knows about and vice versa, and both have this drama about fate, about powers that can destroy, judgment and guilt, responsibility and determination i found super interesting.
I absolute love the concept of Frisk being a "more than a simple human" thing, a deity, some powerful force that can be either benevolent or dangerous when in contrast with Sans that's "just a normal boss monster" or something like that. I'm in love with Frisk being a god what just wants to live a normal life, having a normal family and a happy life and find this wish coming true with their monster family, and they find love with that one monster who has kept his eye socket on them all this time, seeing the sweetness and love that they share.
I also love the angst in the forbidden love thing, like, monster and human love being a taboo...
Frisk It's a character that ended up growing in my hand while I was drawing and creating, so to speak. I didn't want to let Frisk become that cliché of cute and lovable, so she/they transformed a little too quickly hehe. Today It's very different and that adorable cover is just a disguise for the real Frisk. Which isn't a terrible evil being either, it's just harder to comprehend and morally gray. They're determined still, to being a better person and changing the order of things and changing fate.
Sans I don't even know where and how to start because he has been my main and if not my most intense and prolonged hyperfocus. I have a lot of fun writing and drawing it in many different ways, with my favorite being this ironic, calm and funny little guy, but who carries a huge weight on his shoulders for the people he loves, a guy who worries too much about simple things and is a bit anxious and uncertain about the future.
Soo... Well i think that's a lot of reasons people like them two. They're two little guys, they go around the time and space, (like sans can teleport in space and frisk teleports in time thats so cool aaaa) them both like papyrus and toriel very much, they two are poker faced deadpan funny faces
I find them fun and even more fun is seeing other talented artists in the community doing their own interpretations of them in such unique ways. I love seeing fans making content for fans and how the characters change drastically in each person's hands, it's beautiful

Did a True Reset to replay the game again. I swear, Flowey's speech hurts every time. And I know that's the intended effect lol, but he's RIGHT.
"Seems as if everyone is perfectly happy." They are. This is the best ending.
"Well. There is one thing. One last threat." There is. There always will be.
"That's the power you were fighting to stop, isn't it? The power that I wanted to use." Yes. Yes, it was. And yet, here we are. Flowey is such an interesting parallel to the player.
"So please. Just let them go. Let Frisk be happy. Let Frisk live their life." I want so badly to say that I can't. But that's not it. I COULD. I could close the game and never touch it again. But I won't. Because I love playing it, I love achieving that happy ending every time. I don't even play any of the other routes, I can't hurt them like that. But I like spending time with these characters, I like playing the True Pacifist route. So I reset. And I do it over and over and over again. I don't want to let them go.
"You'll have to erase my memories, too. I'm sorry." This shouldn't be as much of a loss, right? Flowey is the antagonist on most routes. More than that, he remembers. He reminds you that your actions can't just be erased. Shouldn't it be a relief to know that he won't remember this? And yet it isn't. It feels strangely like a loss. Like I mentioned before, there are a lot of parallels between Flowey and the player. He's the only one who knows what being able to reset is like, he's the only one who knows what seeing everything else as a game is like, he's the only one who really remembers everything properly. There's a certain understanding that comes with that. And it definitely feels like more of a loss after the True Pacifist ending.
"You've probably heard this a hundred times already, haven't you?" More times than you know, Flowey. And it hurt every time.
I would let them live their lives, have their happy ending. That was what I was fighting for, right? But I don't... want to let them go.
This game, man. This stars-damned game. Even though I know what's going to happen, it still hits me right in the heart every time. Which is why I keep playing it despite everything, because the True Pacifist ending still hits me too.

TIME FOR SOME AWESOME DELTARUNE THEORIZE AND A BIT OF RAMBLE TOO YEAAAAAAAH!!! Okie-dokie! Lets starts Then! I have a Theory about like, Some Meta elements I just thought of.
This theory I've been talking about is per say something that is like even MORE related to what meta game can be as a whole for Deltarune, but to answer and tell y'all about that? We need to talk about Parallel universes XDDDDDDDD
For real though For real, I will talk about details of Undertale first per say. Now then... Lets start. Back where Once upon a Time, two races ruled Over Earth, Humans and Monsters. Where The Humans won The war and Monsters were banished on The Underground. Where The Undertale begins.
We know that in Undertale, when We first play and all, there are acronyms such as "LV" and "EXP" (or XP) and such, right? Now, Undertale is an indie RPG base game if You will. We all know about Our usual RPG stuff and such that acronyms or labels such as...
LV means "Level" and EXP means "Experience" if You will.
Both terms that WE ALL associate when it comes to RPG games. We fight monsters or any creatures or just whatever the RPG launches at Us. We fight and defeat or kill them and thus We gain EXP to LEVEL Up and get higher LV.
Thats how usually, the game goes and such. And Undertale, being an RPG game, We would think it would be the same. After all we have the "FIGHT" Button.
However, Undertale since the VERY beginning, We are talking about the Trailers and such, have shown Us that We can WIN battles WITHOUT Fighting. We can choose "MERCY" to so much Win the battle without gaining ANY EXP.
Now One might think that its ridicolous then. How do We WIN then the game as a whole? Surely there are bosses right? And indeed there ARE Bosses. However... the point of Undertale as a whole? Is that You can win battles within what YOU think it would be best. To decide the fate of the Monsters.
Do You wanna FIGHT them and kill them... or would You SPARE them by choosing MERCY and let them live.
Undertale is VERY and I mean VERY meta when it comes to these. It doesn't stop there. LV and EXP does mean something in Undertale.
As shown in here in this images:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
As We know... LV means "LEVELS OF VIOLENCE" and through EXP which means "Execution Points" We gain MORE LV. LOVE.
The story of Undertale makes a play for how meta it is. And it doesn't stop there. The DETERMINATION trait. The fact that Frisk, the Human or The Player Anomaly are SO MUCH DETERMINED that they can just RESET. See, that is another play on that.
RESET is a Power for DETERMINATION. To go back and stay Determined to Continue. This is a play in how when Us, the Players in ANY game get defeated and get a Game Over, We just restart back where We last SAVED. And Undertale goes even DEEPER into this and such with its Timelines. I will be doing a ramble about Undertale's timelines and how much each to its own have their own incredible identities. But that shall be for another post about it.
For now I believe that I talked and show what I'm takling about in how Meta Undertale can get. And ALL of these is just so much important because this is where the Theory begins.
Now then...
Tumblr media
The reason why I show that? Is cause technically speaking Deltarune has THREE SAVE FILES. Now, my theory begins.
What if... The actions such as "COPY" and "ERASE" DO ALSO!! Mean like an acronym or is another term much like how LOVE is and such. Deltarune has THREE SAVE FILES. And Anyone can valid and absolutely think that is just TobyFox improving and giving more Quality of Life improvement by having three files to play now instead of just one?
But I think thats the thing!! There are SPECIAL Dialogues whether You COPY or ERASE and such. I have seen it and it appears before You seal any of the Dark Fountains from Chapter 1 or 2.
if You want to COPY to an Empty File: "The Division is Complete"
If You want to DELETE a File: "It was as if it was never there at all"
There's even more special dialogue if You cancel the COPY Or ERASE options. For Copy it will be "It has kept its original shape."
And if its cancel an Erase option, "It has ben SPARED"
These lil dialogue appearing could just be fun little Easter Eggs or even Hints at something else, and not even like what I'm talking about right now.
Lets say a hint to the final boss or like even Gaster! But hear me out more...
Undertale and Deltarune are like Amalgrams to one another. And something that We do notice with Deltarune is how so MANY similar things is to Undertale yet...its not the same. They are different yet so same at the same time.
So like, there's like a part 2 of this theory and that being is that...
The COPY and ERASE options...will be returning as like a parallel or like something similar to per say for like SAVE, and RESET. And of course I know that ERASE is on Genocide Route, but its basically same principle. You delete a File in Deltarune is like You delete that World, and like such... much like how ERASING in completing Genocide Route does it. You basically deleted the entire world because its ONLY one file.
Much like how there is a SAVE in True Pacifist, it can be seen like a COPY mechanic. While You reach a COMPLETE AWESOME Ending in True Pacifist, if You wanna replay it..? What do You do? Another file, right? But Undertale has NO other save files. Just one.
So its a TRUE reset, but at the same time... You play it again.
I truly believe that there can be some sort of like something even more Meta-wise in Deltarune compared to Undertale cause after all... even the SOUL trait. Yes, the SOUL that is supposed to represent the Player and Frisk. That is as a whole... the DETERMINATION Soul in Undertale.
Tumblr media
However... In Deltarune its SO different. Yet behaves the same. However this SOUL that is Us... it is US. The Player. A being that is VERY implied to be a somewhat different character than Kris. Kris is Themselves while the SOUL is like Us, the Player. And that is per say, why exactly I see that Deltarune could do something with the functions of the SAVE FILES.
Because literally, Any of the choices don't matter. It really doesn't because while You can still go out of Your way to do Your Own stuff and such... You can basically do the same within all across the Three files.
Literally the choices won't matter at all, much like how ALL the characters won't matter either. Think about it... Susie, a character that goes AGAINST our own Choices and such, thinking its Kris making the choices, has such an incredible Glow up of Character development. However!! It literally won't matter. Because imagine just Us, the Player have the power to just delete it. At the end, NOTHING will matter if We can just COPY and ERASE. Meaniing that as a whole, why Deltarune can have like, just ONE Ending.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What ending would that be? Who knows?? That sort of ending being just One instead of having multiple endings like Neutral, and then True Pacifist or Genocide? It just makes sense. We can just Copy and Erase.
Aaaaaaaaaaaand that is all what I have for this theory and a brief ramble about Undertale and Deltarune. This was SO much fun honestly! I will do more rambles like these about Undertale and Deltarune, and also like ramble and theorize so many things too.

Welcome to the (non) official
Tumblr media
BLOG!!! (For short LUW)
This AU is my own idea. There may be some questions you may ask yourself, but first let me explain what this blog is for.
This post is the main one, I recommend checking it if you're new to this AU. Here I'll post everything Luci's Underwitch related. Or almost everything. I'll try. (I may have missed some art from my main acc, it is @artsycrow46)
Also, if you want to ask any character anything, on @lucisunderwitchasks you can ask them! Edit: The account was deleted and moved here(i have way too many accounts so I need to do some cleaning from time to time)
Let me give you a brief explanation of the AU. Luci's Underwitch is an AU where all monsters are actually humanized, being called Witches. Frisk is 12 during their travel around the Underground, doing the Pacifist Run, and in the end, accepting the job as the ambassador of Witches, but going 'home' to their dad. Chara fallows them pretty much everywhere, and likes Frisk very much, being besties.
Now several months fast forward, Frisk lives with the Dreemurr Family. Asriel (11 y/o) and Kris(5 y/o) are their siblings, and Toriel takes care of all of them, dating Sans (mhm, I'm one of them Soriel shipers).
Ten years later, Frisk and Asriel are at college, and Kris found out about the Dark Worlds!.. The year now it's 2025, and Kris with Susie are now at their homes, waiting for their siblings to come back from college for Easter! Scarlett is one of Frisk's best friends, maybe even more than friends! And Asriel is still single since he's autistic as fvck.
Toghether, Frisk (with Chara ofc), Kris, Asriel, Susie and Ralsei are going into a steampunk adventure in Frisk's closet.(all of this is happening after Chapter 2. I am going to play the next Chapters when they're out, and add them to another fanfic)
Under the cut you'll have more, and at the end there will be the questions.
'kay, the explanation wasn't that brief. I am going to make a comic about it, but I am still learning about how to draw perspective and hair sooooooo y'all won't get this soon.
I have two fanfics on the way with this AU, and a third one might appear after I finish the second.
The main fanfic is called Lost Souls, The First Part explaining different events from Frisk's life after they got out of the Underground, and The Second Part is going to fallow the two humans into the closet adventure! (The closet has nothing to do with lgbt, but the fanfic surely has a bunch of lgbt in it)
I might upload several chapters in a day, or forget about it for weeks. If anyone wants to read more and I haven't uploaded a new chapter in a long while, uhhhhh tell me? (My dumbass my forget fast)🫡🫡🫡
The link to it? I might add an AO3 link too after I figure out how to use that website-
The second fanfic is called Underground Adventures, fallowing Frisk trough the Underground. This one will be out all at once, not by parts, so it's no worth to put the link here.
Now the third fanfic. It's going to be called Runes And Adventures. It's going to be abt Kris in the dark world, during Chapter 1-2. The Chapters 3-4 are going to get a separate fanfic, since they're gonna be AFTER the steampunk adventure. I am not even working on how to write it or any ideas, since it's going to take a long time, and it's not the biggest deal. I might not write it at all, since you get to see most of Kris's interactions in the game already, but who knows?
NOW!!! The possible questions(since I can't say FAQ)
1. Why is it called Luci's Underwitch?
Well, it was supposed to be called Underwitch. But apparently that exists already so I had to add my name to it. TwT
2. How do the characters look?
Well, if you've been on my main, @luciluck2046, you would see a bunch of fanarts, but I'll post them here too a bit later.
3. Comic?
Not yet. I suck.
4. Inspiration?
I got inspired to make this AU after I finished TOH(The Owl House), and also I liked the idea of humans with magic that UnderMate has. So yeah, I kinda combined those two with Undertale and my creativity, and I got this AU!
Reference sheets

Welp, it seems you got to the end of the main post! I might update this often, but who knows? See you later my friend, and have fun reading!

COCOA POWDER AU RAMBLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Tw for suicidal thoughts, self harm (? kinda) and meltdowns
So first, this is an au ive had since i was like, 11. But now Clovers in there too :] Basically, Frisk and Chara share half a soul, Asriel stayed with one, and Kris (Who is like, 7 here) Is adopeted by the dreemurrs :] The 6 humans souls were also ressurected? Somehow??? Anyways ChatGPT rambles i did in there (No its not ai genereted i just use it to be autistic)
Chara: Humanity is a disease Clover: Hai! :3 Chara: Humanity is a incovenience "MY LIFE IS A SATIRE OF ITSELF!" Chara Dreemurr probably They do wanna but like, exclusively Asriel talking. No Frisk or Kris (Yeah they also exist in this au) or Clover talking Also, Chara gardens! They like it very much :]  No! Clover is serious but very optimist and Chara is the type of person to do kms jokes Chara wearing a "bitches love my autistic swag" shirt. Cue Toriel grounding them for a month for the curse word Pathetic wet cat chara propaganda. Clover is also autistic and hyperfixated on guns and cowboys, they would definetely appear at Chara's window with a gun. Romeo and Juliet type deal. No Chara would choose a exe game that starts happily and then gets dark just to traumatize the shit out of Clover. Then they show up to their house with a shotgun Peter Griffin style    I LOVE THIS! ESPEACIALLY SINCE IN THIS AU CHARA LITERALLY ROSE FROM THE DEAD AFTER GOING ON THAT SUICIDE MISSION WITH ASRIEL HUNDREDS OF YEARS AGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY LITERALLY KTS!!!!!!!!!11 AND THEY WOULD JOOKE ABOUT EATING GOLDEN FLOWERS AGAIN (Not around Toriel and Asgore and Kris 1. They would kill them 2. Kris is younger, like younger than Frisk younger in this AU and they dont want them to actually listen) And Clover would definetely say to Chara that joking about hurting themselves is not funny   Chara with a knife in hand doing very dangerous tricks with it whenever they are alone and feeling bad.   They WOULD do that. Asriel lived with them and as Flowey for so long he thinks its normal. Frisk thinks they are just edgy. Kris is a child in this. But Clover knows thats not healthy.   Chara actually makes a pretty dark joke. like. pretty dark. And Clover is debating with themselves if they should tell Toriel and Asgore. They know Chara wouldnt let them, but also, who knows what they might do if Clover doesnt tell them?   WHAT IF THEY TELL THEM THO WHAT IF THEY DO!?   Chara ACTUALLY harms themselves. All day. 24/7. I headcanon them with like, very severe dysphoria, and thats why when they were a kid their hair was short. So when they came back to life and eventually became a teen, they let their hair grow longer on purpouse so they would feel dysphoria everyday.  Chara going to a therapist? And deflecting every question they have? Until they ask about what they like to do and. they know its them trying to make them talk somehow, but they still talk about gardening?    They love gardening btw. Its their favorite thing to do. they listen to Jack Stauber while doing it too :] lemon Demon any autistic coded musicians/hj   Clover hurting themselves because they are too impulsive and Chara having to call Toriel to heal them?  I meant literal physical wounds. Like, Clover is literally bleeding and they are like "Its fine :]"
Chara's dark humor fluctuates. They dont joke about bad things happening to their loved ones, at most they joke about Toriel and Asgore having to lose them again. They dont joke about Asriel, Frisk and Kris too. When they first met Clover, they joked about how their gun obssession could turn into a murder. They joke a lot around with people they dont know or hate. Ummm....I wonder what that could mean about how Chara feels about themselves....
Clover is also more physically unhealthy? They keep hurting themselves everywhere trying to protect people. Like, they have three different injuries from bullies in one day.
Clover is also more physically unhealthy? They keep hurting themselves everywhere trying to protect people. Like, they have three different injuries from bullies in one day.
Clover moment real they probably would have regular meltdowns
They would probably go desperatly to a quiet corner as far from everyone as possible because they dont wanna seem wek. They are screaming, crying, bawling but they cant stop. Like they trapped in another body.
Clover would HATE Chara for seeing them like that. They would be exhausted from A. Crying B. Having to control their body to talk C. Manage Chara so they dont think they are weak (They refers to both of them btw) and probably more, and now their crush and best friend in literally 100 years is seeing them having a violent meltdown.
CLOVER NOTICING THEY ARE STARTING TO HAVE A MELTDOWN AND DESPERATLY RUNNING AWAY FROM CHARA!? AND ACTUALLY HAVING A PRETTY VIOLENT MELTDOWN, THEY ARE SCREAMING, HITTING STUFF, AND CHARA JUST ENTERS THE ROOM AND THEY DONT KNOW WHATS HAPPENING (They have zero social experience) AND THINKS CLOVER IS JUST ANGRY AT SOMETHING (Probably Chara)
Chara goes to grab Chocolate (Again girl gender neutral has zero social experience so they grab their own comfort food) for Clover. And when they come back Clover is just in a corner. Now from clover's pov, they arent fine. Their mind is fuzzy, angry sad. Like they just had every negative emotion at once. They feel bad, but not as bad, so its still bad, but they feel grateful. Again, they have these every day, so yeah, kinda bad. But they are used to it. They would probably spend the rest of the afternoon cleaning stuff they knocked over, and when Chara comes they would probably just snatch the chocolate and dont even eat it.
I want them to kiss but in a "50k word hurt/comfort" way

Hii,question for the author! Cold we see a bit of plot, maybe a few posts that lets us see the characters and settings that you made, maybe some doodle comics? I just found your blog, and wanted to ask, but there isnt a starting story yet, just characters. Or is the story somewhere else and im missing something?
Also, I adore how you draw, very cool style!
I’ve waited for MONTHS to be able to make stuff for this world. And my deepest apologies for the delay and lack of said story posted here. Though I have a document for this AU pinned on this account, I feel it is important to share the tale in case anything were to happen to the document. Keeping a record of sorts. With that said, I hope you don’t mind that I indulge you with the plot here in this ask. Better to write it if I am unable to illustrate all the details.
Big thing I want to emphasize is that Frisk doesn’t have the ability to restart. From what is understood on their part, the option has all but vanished. Not that they want to restart in the first place. What they have now is great! Life for them feels, well, real. Not like a video game such as before. They get to make their own decisions about what to do. Some good, some bad, and some dumb. Regardless, they have the freedom to dictate their life. It’s been like that for 8 years and hasn’t changed since. Though the idea of it turning back into a game is a big possibility (or rather inevitable). But thankfully it won’t send them all the way back into the underground. That would be hell if it did.
Another thing, Frisk’s story is about settling down with one thought that they have been trying to convince themselves is wrong and evil. And that thought is that it’s okay to fight back. Because the center point of the story is them going against another human named Vance whose own soul is corrupted and means to do harm to Frisk and any life they may value and cherish. Why? Purely because he’s jealous of what Frisk is. That they, and so many other humans have magic and Vance does not.
Vance is a boy who is obsessed with magic of humans and monsters alike. Especially Frisk’s. They’re the main one who seems to have more going on than so many others in their community. However you see it, the boy is bad news and a bit of a freak. Definitely not a kid you want to be around. But he was the one who pushed Frisk to this new game that he will become aware of and have fun playing in. Frisk won’t though and will be so stressed out.
The main goal of this thing of mine is that no one should ever be blaming Frisk for anything here. They will do whatever they can to make things better. To try see good and seek out the possibility that change is out there for Vance. But he won’t want it and bash the options because it’s not what he wants. We are the viewers of this story. And all Frisk just wants is to live their life and live it with their family. That family being:
Sans
Papyrus
Aster (Gaster)
And the Dreemurrs
They’re all one big family.
This is a lot of info probably, but there is so much more in my document. I’m just paraphrasing what I wrote on their onto here so others can see. Illustrations are in order, but my best option is write the concepts and story all down. I would’ve made this a fanfic, but I’m not too confident in my writing skills. But this is close enough for now cause I do want to draw stuff like this out. Also! Pretty sure this is an obvious sign, yet this an AU that leans more on the kids or teens of UT with many others slowly becoming involved.
Edit: Oh, and thank you for the kind words on my artstyle! Very much appreciated :)

#1 Day of asking random shit to blogs I follow because I can and I want to + boredom
Do you have any Undertale OCs and/or your own Undertale AU? If you do, can you explain the lore? :]
I'm more of an AU rewriter actually. I'm taking popular AUs and try to make them more realistic and mature (and more political, I love the Underground politics, that's like my favorite subject).
So far, I'm working on Horrortale with my fanfiction Horrortale : Rotten Apple, which is actually more of a pre-Horrortale fanfiction, since I'm working on the events between when Frisk left the Underground and the famine. So far, it's like 20 chapters and Undyne is still not queen. I want her coup d'état to be violent and the result of months and months of bad decisions, not only her bad decisions, but also Toriel's ones as a ruler. Toriel is not a bad ruler at all, but she is impopular because of her exil in the Ruins and the fact that despite Asgore's death, who was loved by the Underground, she did nothing to prevent something like that to happen again. Undyne being the one Asgore's trained, monsters will slowly turn their back to Toriel, which will have consequences on other characters like Sans, Papyrus, Flowey or Grillby. Frisk is not the one responsible for all this either, as they are trying to save monsterkind in a world where adults don't believe them at all. That's a really difficult story to write, but I'm having so much fun with it.
The second one is Underfell, with my fanfiction No Weakness. It's a Papyrus centric fanfiction that takes place after a pacifist route. Since there's no reason for Asgore to let Frisk live, Frisk is actually still Underground, living the best life with Toriel, and protected by a pact formed by Sans, Papyrus, Undyne, Mettaton and Alphys. The kid must stay a secret. But after some months, Papyrus is doubting the plan, as not only they could all be executed if something goes wrong, but there's also the problem of Frisk becoming more independant and asking more and more questions, and worse, taking Papyrus as an exemple, which he absolutely doesn't want because he is ashame of what he has to do every day to survive. No Weakness is also about Undyne, who suddenly starts to act strange, which worried Papyrus, until one day, she left the guard. Papyrus is quite distressed and doesn't understand until Asgore announces his soon to come wedding with her on live TV. The only problem being that Papyrus knows Undyne hates him with all of her soul, and that she is not there willingly. But Papyrus is also the general of the royal guard now, and as a general, you shut up and close your eyes on a lot of things. But Papyrus is really not sure he can do that.
The last one is the most close from an AU I guess, it's What is best for humankind. It's a war AU, focusing on Sans and Papyrus childhood. It's an AU because they are a lot younger in the games, so they couldn't live through the war, but I tried to make it coherent. Sans and Papyrus are forced to run away from their village one night, as humans are attacking. Gaster, their dad, being forced to fight, left them escape alone. Sans will have to protect his brother, and soon, a very small Undyne and a human through the devastated lands leading to Mount Ebott. It's both a survival story and a dramatic story as Sans will have to do and witness things he never should have, and face the betrayal of the only person who is supposed to keep him safe, his own father. Because this AU main story is about what being a judge means. In this world, the royal judge is not a job, it's a very rare class of monsters like boss monsters are. Judge monsters are very low HP monsters that can use karma magic, which is the same magic Sans use in his genocide battle in the game. During the war, the Judges, mainly pacifist, all died during the talks for a peace treaty, as the humans saw an opportunity to get rid of them all at once. The only problem being the magic the Judge develop can only activate if the Judge is traumatised and presents a abnormal level of determination. Sans is the only one left, he is not activated, and Gaster wants him to basically explodes in rage in the human castle to kill the Emperor. For this, he knows there's one solution that will sure piss him off enough: killing Papyrus. But Gaster is also the only one who is sure this plan will work, as both Toriel and Asgore are horrified by the idea. To stop the war, how far all of them are willing to go? That's the main story!
My last AU is a more classic one, it's a Sans x Reader fanfiction in a post-pacifist universe, Remember the good days. However, Sans is not exactly himself as he suffers terrible memory loss after a tragic attack during one of Frisk's speech. It's getting worse and worse as Sans is not enough stimulated with Papyrus in college. But Papyrus has a plan. He wants you to stimulate Sans, and he is even willing to pay for that. Surely he told Sans everything before hand and Sans won't hate you at all for this. ... Right?

Rap BATTLE
Flowey The Flower
VS
Cagney The Carnation
Begin!
Flowey:
Howdy I'm Flowey, Flowey the flower
You really sold your soul for a fraction of power
Thats pathetic and sad so guess you should be
the taller, lesser and lamer version of me.
I controlled lives and caused so much pain
You got tricked by a devil and went down in vain
You'll never get a chance to win against this flower
Taken down by bullets again, this is your final hour!
Somebody ought show you around this place
Even if if you're a total disgrace.
It's time to stop the innocent little facade
And fight me like a real one, you copying fraud
Looking ragged, rejected like a Rosalia
Should I kill the carnation? That's a wonderful idea!
Cross your arms, puff your cheeks out
You just can't believe I already got a KNOCKOUT
Cagney:
You're kidding right?
A little dandelion wanting to fight
Well I'll tell ya what and cut you a deal
Don't wanna make you, lose the feel
Speaking of emotions, which you have none
Just ignoring the fact I'm number one.
You don't have room to talk about no soul
You're stuck and abandoned in some mountian hole
Went back up to save your siblings life
Stabbed in the back just like their knife
Killing and going crazy with your power
Otherwise crying and waiting to cower
I'll let you leave since you're in no hurry
No body can win to the Floral Fury!
Even Chara left you in the end
And you say that they're your best friend?
One more thing if I may?
I'm the one that's a rip off you say?
Well let me plant the hands in the ground
Then well see who's secretly Earthbound.
Flowey:
I dodge your rhymes like a run and gun
Gathered the human souls, now we'll have fun!
I can feel them wiggling inside of me
I can't wait for you to see,
The Omega Photoshop GOD
The ice is thin and now I'll win
The stakes are high and I'm the pin.
This is the true form I revel in
A true advocate for the devil's sin.
I'll put the pedal to the metal
Once RIP you up petal by petal
Not a second too soon to unwind
When you're slashed to bits like a Porkrind.
It's not smart to raise fights with someone you can't mettle,
When you lost to cups related to an old kettle.
No need for you to progress to phase two
Cuz I'll tell you something that you already knew..
I'll be the one to give extreme pollination
To your total domination
Cagney:
Back to you and on the topic
Least my Fandom isn't as toxic
So watch yourself and count the days
As Undertale falls and Cuphead stays
All Indies will soon lose fame
Yours is just dying like Bendy's Game
Sit back and relax and enjoy while you can
I'll be here, and laugh when you hit the fan.
Abandoned by the souls of the fallen
Your Determination is weak so quit stallin
Rise up to power and it's a bit of a risk
You're defeated by a little kid named Frisk
Clearly they step up to the alter
Cuz even your Determination can falter.
You called for help but no one came
You lost this battle and only have yourself to blame.
Nobody cared and nobody will cry
Poor soulless Asriel left there to die.

More propaganda on Flowey, because I think there has to be more said on him.
WARNING! REALLY LONG RAMBLE. Tried to summarize most of it.
Propaganda:
First of all, my dear flower boy DIED and was murdered by a bunch of humans. All the while he was probably being berated by his BEST friend, someone he TRUSTS to fight back and kill them so that they both can open the barrier for monsterkind to go out.
And to make it even worse, he didn't even TRY fighting back at all. He just let himself get killed. And he was a child throughout all of this.
Only to be revived after all of this, probably a few years ago as a flower. Without a soul. Neither was he a monster, or human. No, he was just a flower. There wasn't a single SOUL that was technically like him.
He was traumatized and now he had to deal with a body that had no familiarity to his body from before. And he could barely feel anything. Yet he was still DETERMINED for some reason.
He had to find the truth out for himself, tried to be a better person and feel something. And even help other monster. Got nothing out of it and found them to be predictable. Wanted to die, yet couldn't. And after all that he came to realize none of it even mattered in the first place. Because he found out that HIS life was a game.
Started caring even less and less until he just couldn't do it anymore. Instead only doing things that would be new. Give him new reactions, new interactions. New dialogue. ANYTHING to get rid of his boredom.
He probably didn't even kill most of the humans that fell down there directly either. Not the same way he tried doing to Frisk at least. Probably more less did something similar as in uty. Or just tried to befriend them and get something new out of them. See what THEY'D do. Then got bored and let them die when there was nothing else to do.
The cycle of trying everything with the new humans that fell probably repeated over and over again. And when he came to the SEVENTH human soul. He saw no point in it anymore, as he could've gotten himself out of the barrier or even monsterkind out anyway.
And then that one human turns out to have more determination than him.
And that's probably the most disturbing yet greatest thing that's ever happened to him at the same time.
He's both terrified yet glad that he lost his power. For one, if he dies. He can't come back. But at the same time. HE's got a new person to play with. Someone that is COMPLETELY unpredictable. Someone who's JUST like HIM.
That's how he sees the player. And even then. He's not even aware it IS the player at the same time. He thinks it's Chara. Partly that is. Because he is aware that YOU do exist. He just doesn't exactly comprehend how.
"Chara" is the personification of the player. Yet not. Chara is their own CHARActer. But "Chara", what you may name the fallen child is a personification of you. The name that is. NOT the child.
Throughout the whole game he also follows you around. Because he is interested. He's curious. And he finds it FUN. That's why in the pacifist route he fights you and directly talks to YOU the whole time. Because HE doesn't really want you to leave.
If you leave, the game ends. And what will he have to live for if not for his "best friend".
So in short. He's not evil. He's bad, sure. But he is not EVIL. He has his own reasons, and he does seem to want Frisk and the other monster to have their happy ending. He just doesn't think he can be a part of it.
Because after all, he is the "villain". He'll kill everyone you love! His words.
(And if you look further in the game you'll also realize that all of the things he's doing is because he thinks that that's what Chara would do. He himself has basically also become a replica of Chara because he looks up to them. Also because he regrets not listening to them. I could talk about Flowey for WAAYYYY longer. But I think this was long enough lmao.)

(Strange enough, seems like the submission url just decided to not exist. But I do have a submission that’s come before them crossing over, since the answer to the SOUL thing is another game mechanic… This might actually be the last one before the cutoff, though, it all depends on how Flowey responds to this one…)
—————————-
Monika:How do we feel? I’m sorry to say, that it’s just a difference in what we are. We’re not the same kinds of humans as in your world. SOULs don’t even exist in my world at all. We just don’t need them, nothing happens from having the lack of them. So we just feel love the same way we feel any other emotion. It’s not some special workaround, we just have different biology. In your world, love, hope, and compassion come from SOULs… but not in mine. It’s much closer to the players’ world, in that sense. Magic isn’t a thing either, unless you count the console and the epiphany itself. That’s kind of the reason why we couldn’t have you come in as a flower. Well, that and the fact the floor is made of a hard material instead of dirt and carpet…
Monika:So there isn’t really anything I can do when it comes to the soul problem. It’s a difference in worlds, not a difference in actions.
Monika:Oh, they’ve kept resetting? I guess the player just wants to see what else they can do… I just hope they won’t turn into someone like Kris’ player… But yes, your game has a ending… though the player can reset.
Monika:Remember that plan you came up with after Frisk fought you with six SOULs? That “happy ending” you promised them?
Monika:Which is really a plan to get all the monsters together, to take everyone’s SOULs at once? Frisk falls for it, actually. You get your ”true form”. …But instead of losing the fight, as you expect, they’d go on to save the lost souls.
Monika:And finally, there’d be someone else left to save. It is that moment when you would have naturally worked out Frisk and Chara were not the same person. They… weren’t “supposed” to have come back at all, with one exception. Somehow, the player having Frisk kill everyone would actually bring them back.
Monika:But… not as themselves. All that LOVE would have turned them into someone who wished for the world’s destruction. And the only way to get the world back… would be by giving them Frisk’s SOUL. Really, you wouldn’t want that Chara to be what you get. They’re as different to “Chara” as you were to “Asriel” when you thought everything was “kill or be killed!”
Monika:But, back to the good ending! Unable to keep the souls inside of you for much longer (probably since you’d be a monster again, and some of the souls are monster souls… monsters aren’t supposed to be able to absorb monster souls), you would have broken the barrier with them, as one last thing, to finally give that happy ending. Monsters go free, but without any souls left, you’d be fated to become a flower once more… Either Frisk or Papyrus would serve as the ambassador to the monsters, and they’d either stay with Toriel or go back to their old home. While the monsters live a happy life on the surface.
Monika:And if the player re-opens the game after that, You’d have been telling them not to reset, to just let Frisk live their life… or, if they DO, to erase your memories as well.
Monika:Maybe the player’s one of those who think they can find a way to prevent you from becoming a flower once more, but having looked at the efforts dataminers have done, I can say there is no way for the player to do that. It’s not coded anywhere in the game.
Monika:…Is there anything else you’d like to talk about related to our games before we head in? Or any further questions relating to what I just said?
Sayori:Monika, you still forgot to add yourself back into the main character folder…
Monika:Right, I do need to do that first too…
>os.copy(“bcharacters/monika.chr”,”/characters”);
>File successfully copied.
Monika:But besides that, any other things or questions before we go to the club?
Monika:…Also, wait, are we sure the game would restart at the first day? Last time there was a script, but I’ve deleted that so we wouldn’t be bound by it, so this time there isn’t a script…
Sayori:Ehe, no, we’re actually not, you’re right that things might work differently without the game script. But either the game restarts, with you as president already, or I’ll introduce you as the one who gave me the idea to form the club in the first place!
Monika:Well, we’ll see then, I suppose… anyways, anything else you wanted to know about before we visit the club, Flo- er, Buttercup? I guess all this talk about the game made me use the wrong name… good thing we’re still in the void and nobody else heard that…
Sayori:Eehee, I already worked that one out. I got the hint. Maybe Flowey can be a “nickname”, so if you do say that name by accident, you can say you accidentally used the nickname I gave him!
Monika:Right, I’ll keep that in mind… So, Buttercup? Anything else?

somebody's probably already talked about this but i cant get that fucking mountain goats post outta my head and ive been talking to myself about love as a central theme of frankly most art but especially the art i love the most and i got to undertale and i need to talk about it
god it's all about love. wanting love, not wanting to lose it, grief, hope, determination, it's all fucking love in like 8 different hats. it's the monsters' love they show you (the mercy they show you) that allows frisk to help them get their freedom, it's the player's love for them that brings mercy in the first place, it's all fucking love.
flowey only got his power to reset from dying with his sibling after an act of love for them and you know what he did? he spent years of his life interacting with the people and world as much as he could, in as many ways as possible. he loved being with them and wanted to experience everything because everything was worthwhile to him because of love. and that greed for love led to oversaturation, led to boredom, led to him hurting people to feel anything in that absence of love. he never stopped loving chara, y'know? he was always looking for someone else to play with, someone who could make him feel like nothing had happened. so much so that he follows frisk throughout the underground, insists on keeping them and you there as much as possible, both bitter and needy. and he has to admit that frisk isn't chara to move on. you're not them. they're gone. asriel's gone, too, or will be after this. it's love for chara that leads him to break the barrier, as it was for asgore to try and stop you, and for toriel to take you in at the beginning and the end. it was the desire for love that kept him from letting go, and that caused him to harm so many, as it was for alphys, undyne, asgore, toriel, etc. him, arguably more than anyone else, hurt people out of desire for love and grief over it. and it's him acknowledging that desire and letting it go when it hurts people that sets everyone free.
it is love that makes you go back through the underground, calling papyrus and undyne and toriel in every room just to see their different responses. it is love that leads you to check everywhere before finally ending the game. it is love that leads you back to where your friends are standing, talking about how they've been changed by you, about how the love between you has led to this. it's love that makes you end it to see them happy, and curiosity (which in this case is often just greed for love) to some extent.
and it is love and greed for it that brings you to the reset screen. and flowey, whose desire for love almost consumed everything, that kept the people he loved from their happy endings, from their futures, that asks you to reconsider. having seen all you have, having seen his mistakes, and how happy your friends are now, are you willing to put your desire for love above their happiness? above their freedom? will you make the same choice as him after seeing what harm it caused, after finally getting what you wanted? because whatever reason for resetting you have, it'd probably boil down to love in some way. love for the characters, for the game (experience or lore), etc.
flowey's downfall, to some extent, was in the apathy that came from overconsumption. instead of cherishing the life he had, he had to know the rest. he couldn't let it lie, couldn't find peace about it and move on. he had one life, as do you, as do (in theory) these characters, one you would at that point snatch from them by resetting. flowey's asking you to think twice about whether or not you want to control them, to play with their lives for your own happiness. even if it is out of love.
because it always is.
#god idk does this make sense. fuck#i really like this game guys#idk i havent thought that hard about it in a while or maybe ever but it's soo so good god holy shit#xoxo sincerely someome who hasnt and maybe cannot play anything but true pacifist#yeah being in the ut fandom at like 12 was A Lot at least partially bc of how fucking HARD ppl go with resetting narratives#anyway i think it's cool#games and interactive media in general have so much power to engage the audience with and undertale rocks it with the best of em#literally so beautiful gggahrhuhaghg#the villain asking you if youve learned from his mistakes and pleading with you to not repeat them after all that is just#hhhhhh#i just think it does it really really fucking well#god#undertale#utdr#sheesh#sorry not gonna edit this its like 3am. youre getting the mush#im honestly rusty/never was that deep in ut lore so if i fucked up thats why#asriel's story fucked me up so bad as a kid and STILL fucks me up and now i kinda understand why a bit better#he just wanted to love people he just missed his sibling he just loved the way things used to be so much he did everything he could to#bring it back and it came back all fucked up. maybe theres a reason you only see the true lab in this route huh#and like with the amalgamates you can and should still love what's left. you cant make it what it used to be#but it is always worth loving anyway.#always fucked me up that you have to leave asriel though#flowey still deserves love. is it punishment by the narrative? is it tragedy? idk..#he's stuck in the underground he forced everyone to keep reliving#but idk. wish he got out. i hope he's well now#and yes im aware these are fictionl characters but the game wants you to treat them like theyr real and you should consider their happiness#and i feel like if you missed that then you didn't get undertale yk#and i think most people can compartmentalize their love for these guys and doing the other routes and that's fine#i just choose not to specifically for this game bc it confronts you about it. it's not completely passive (or acts like it)

I don't know this “multiversal anon,” but if Sans was killed somehow… Well, let’s just say we're in for a much harder battle than we anticipated.
*He sighs.* If we do win it, I just want to go home. Anywhere that doesn't have all this saving the world we need to do. I like new things, but- *Flowey glances at Frisk, then looks away again immediately.* there's other new things I want to explore other than crumbling globes.
If you keep looking for universes to save one after another, you'll find yourself in an infinite loop replaying almost the same situation over and over again. You'd go insane, and sooner or later you'd have to give it up. You can't go forever. I get you want to be a hero, but is that cycle really appealing to you, Kara?
(Kara) "I..."
(Noelle) "Pick your next words carefully. I'll remember them forever."
(Kara) "Cycle. Save. Insane. *Repeat the previous three words seven times* I got into all of this because of a player. A simple player who just wanted to explore a game. And here I am. A simple child who wants to save the world. One got out of hand, will two? I don't know what I deserve. Fighting to save the world isn't just a job or a hobby. Anytime I stop people will die. Is my sanity worth someone's life? *Looked at Noelle straight in the eyes* I am a kid. A teen but still a kid. You know, it's fitting I ended up getting a unique soul color. WHITE. Pure.
