The sillies have been completed
With a persona bonus
Now; the facts ramble under the cut
Edden:
- Edden has trouble remembering anything. He'll just, forget. This includes his name, current location, or personality. He just forgets everything. - Edden's real eye color is actually amber. Do to factors out of his control, however, have made his eyes pure white
Opaline:
- Opal has no likes or dislikes. She is a very plain girl, other than the fact she is AI. - Despite her messy appearance, she always has everything in order. She also watches everything that goes on.
Lace:
- Lace would have that same amber eyes Edden does if they were alive. - Lace can shapeshift their appearance. They tend to make themselves look fem.
Ash:
- Ash's full name is actually Ashley. He adamantly goes by Ash. - Ash has a fear of spiders, he is terrified of them. - He is banned from playing card games with people because he will always win.
Winter:
- Winter travels through time and timelines which makes him have many different outfits for each time period or time line. His current outfit was made by Emory because she doesn't like any one of his older outfits, in time sense or the ones I use to draw him in. - If he feels close to people, he ends up calling sweetie or dear, or any old lady complimenting you name. The only exception is his sister, Carrie, who he affectionately calls 'Care Bear'. - Winter doesn't remember what age he is, he's been through so many timelines and periods that he can't pin point an age. He knows he is at least older than Carrie, which isn't saying much because she is 13.
Damien:
- Damien is roughly 10 ft tall. He is always leaning down to make sure he can talk to people face to face, or at least they don't have to stare up into the sky to make eye contact with him. - Damien can't see due to all the bandages over his face. - Damien has a soft spot for cats, underneath all the mumbling, he is a real sweetheart.
Azure:
- Azure is one of the youngest, along with Opal, being 5 years old. - Azure is terrified of everything and everyone. If your name doesn't start with O, she is scared of you and everything you do. - Her star necklace is a gift from someone who she doesn't remember. She wants to thank them if she ever does.
Lilith:
- Lilith is a really good cook. She has an recipe book of all her mother's recipes. - Lilith is the only one of her siblings to only have 1 design element of her outfit that resembles her card. Her tie looks like a spade(Ash has all the diamonds on his eye patch, bag, on his sleeves, he even has card earrings for both of his siblings. Any look at Elliot shows you the hearts on his design). - Lilith really likes bright colors, she adores scene and pastel clothing. But she never wears it as she feels it makes her business woman persona seem fake.
Cosmo:
- Cosmo will talk for hours about space. He will tell you space puns, talk about astronomers and astronauts for as long as you let him. - His hair style is just a literal play on space buns. The long parts are just an homage to an old hairstyle I gave him. - Cosmo's eyes aren't actually the neon green ones he has, no one has seen what his real eye color is.
Navy:
- Navy's veil is to resemble Jellyfish streamers. - If Navy were to open his eyes, instead of pupils, he would have infinity signs instead. - Navy has a brother, but he isn't around much anymore.
Celina:
- Celina wants to be an actress. She believes that with her dance skills and her 'condition' would make her a star in everyone's eyes. - The stars on her skin (the white dots) would be freckles. - When not dancing or practicing her acting, she likes to a baseball bat to various pictures of other people and smash whatever surface the picture is on. - Her leg strength is very powerful and she will kick your face in, but won't... :)
Carrie:
- Carrie always has her umbrella up, even indoors, she doesn't want people to see her face. - Carrie is very noise sensitive, if there is too much noise, she tends to swing her umbrella in the direction of the noise, hoping to hit whatever generating the noise. - Carrie is blind, she sometimes uses her umbrella as a walking stick when she is sure no one is around her.
.A.M.Y:
- .A.M.Y believes that she is an AI that was created to become human through mechanical means. She started by having a metal spine attached to her. - She loves to learn about mechanics and machinery, she wants to be an engineer when she grows up. - .A.M.Y likes her hair the most about her appearance. She doesn't even like someone touching her hair. She takes good care of it, she believes that's what her programing tells her.
Willow:
- Willow was a very lonely child growing up. He liked to dream of people to be his friends or siblings. When he learned how to make AI that felt human, he immediately created these people so he could be less lonely. - Willow hates his haircut. The only reason he has it is because his father says he should keep his hair at the length it is. - Willow has the remote control part of his wheelchair because of chronic pain he has had all his life. He can't manually move his wheelchair for long periods. - Willow seeks his dad's praise constantly, he would remove his AI creations if that meant his dad was proud of him.
Honor:
- Honor has only ever been seen eating meat. Not even Ray has seen her eat anything else. - Honor has 18 older brothers, she is the youngest of her family and the only daughter. - Honor likes plushies, she really likes bunny ones especially. - Honor knows how to sew and cauterize wounds, even ones that could only happen if one were chopping up body parts.
Elliott:
- Elliott's head band(hair tie? it's a long sash that goes on his head it could be both) was a gift from Willow, Elliott is never seen without it on. - The hearts on Elliott's boots, specifically the inner hearts, are actually buttons that activate the skates of his shoes. As seen in this height chart, he does not have the wheels. - Elliott prefers plants over people. His room is covered with plants, it's more of the plants room than his own. - Elliott always has his hair up in some way, if asked he'll tell you that it is because he doesn't want to look like his brother. - The thick part of Elliott's eyes are his eye brows, his eyes are more dot shaped, he is just constantly angry that his eyebrows have stayed that way
Ray:
- Ray remembers that his father was fisher, which makes him believe that he was named after the Manta Ray. - Ray hates the color blue. He gets irrationally upset when he made to wear it for long periods of time. This being said, he hates Ash's outfit, not Ash, just the outfit. - Ray talks via written word. He has never talked once, he can't. - Honor calls Ray 'popcorn head' cause his hair looks like white cheddar popcorn. Ray has regretfully accepted the fact that she will always call him that. - Ray always has something covering his face, usually the giant sketchbook. He has drawn various expressions on it. Due to this fact, Ray can also fall asleep anywhere, even standing up, and no one would notice .
Emory:
- Emory sews her own clothes. She likes to take inspiration from Lolita styled clothing. She has also sewn various items for other characters such as the frills underneath Navy's raincoat, the overcoat Winter has, and Damien's entire outfit. - Emory switches between first person and third person when ever she talks. No one knows if she is aware of this. - Emory has a posh British accent. She sounds more British than her siblings. - Emory prefers to wear clothes that coverup her body. Along with several layers underneath those clothes. Her current outfit is her most revealing.

In the hypothetical world where the rebellion never happened (maybe Peeta bled out out before Katniss could pull the berries), what kind of mentors would the younger 2 victors have been? Petra and Claudius and even Alec depending on what universe we are in for the moment. Would they ever bring a tribute home? Have you thought about any other victors who would have happened in this status quo nightmare universe?
I've looked at a failed-rebellion AU briefly here (I have Emory with a victor here, one of the only times she ever does I think) and in some of my more adjacent AUs over on LJ
Claudius never mentors directly but as seen in the 3QQ he turns out to be good at sponsor-wrangling so I think that's where he turns his talents. he's good at manipulating people which makes him handy on the floor, so he tends to go in as backup fairly often.
(it's extremely funny because we know he's actually a VERY good mentor but he can't do it until he can play for keeps. in the child soldiers AU he's a squad leader, so it's someone the kids look up to in the trenches with them, not a mentor who's on the outside looking in. the story ends before he survives long enough to age out and again, I'm not sure he could do it from the other side)
Enobaria is another one where I have her working the floor and being very successful at getting donations but not mentoring herself
I've never played with Petra or Alec as mentors, I'm not sure how they'd go. funny enough I think Petra would be less attracted to the loyalist kiddos than everyone thinks she would be (herself included) but I don't know what it would actually be. Alec I always get a full shut-down when I try to think about it, wrangling him to a Victor universe was hard enough
Electra I have done, and she's very good but hers always died. her type tend to burn bright and flame out hard, supernova style. Creed is another one where I know he'd be good (especially on the sponsor floor) but I have no idea what his Type (TM) would be

I'll be honest, I wasn't planning on posting this because I wasn't sure if this idea I have is fun. So please let me know if you actually enjoy these or not, because I have a few more I could do, potentially following an actual story line.
groups and roles selected using the click and drag game.
Group 1:
Fire: Damon Medical: Kai Shelter: Will Food: Emory
ngl... this group is looking pretty great. Damon would have no problem finding wood and being determined enough to keep the fire burning. Of all the people here, I trust Kai to have the most medical knowledge. I mean, if he knows enough to break someone's back or knock them out... he also knows how to not do those things... right? Will can build a shelter (though I'd rather it be Emory), and Emory can hunt... maybe (though I'd rather it be Will). Still, all strong teammates.
Personality issues would be the main issue here. Kai would get pissy that Damon doesn't want to follow lead; Damon and Emory butt heads when Emory refuses to follow his lead; and then Will's stuck trying to get everyone to talk again.
Chances of survival: pretty good.
Group 2:
Fire: Banks Medical: Winter Shelter: Michael Food: Rika
...Well. Obviously, Banks could handle the fire, but Winter on medical? Don't get me wrong, the girl knows her way around a wound. Ballet can produce some pretty nasty injuries. It would just take her a bit longer to see to them. Michael could build a shelter... it would just take some time. I'm not sure if he's ever held a hammer. And Rika would probably be able to hunt. I mean, if she can stab Damon, she should have no problem catching a wild animal for dinner. Other than that, this team would work pretty well together. Even with that small hiccup, Rika would be able to smooth things over between the two of them.
Chances of survival: ...meh. Probable. Might be a little worse for the ware.

What we found
Pairings: John Murphy x reader x Emori
Warnings: Character death, mentions of blood
Chapter: 4.05
You gulped, your gaze fixed on the chamber. You knew if it wasn’t him, it would have been Emori, but it still didn’t make you feel any better.
All you wanted to do was help Luna…
Doctor Griffin looked up from the monitor in front of her and said, “Vital signs are strong. Jackson, seal the chamber.”
“Copy that. He's ready,” Jackson nods.
You saw the pilot hold back tears. This was eating her up inside as well. “Yeah. But are we?”
“The guy's a monster.”
You stared at Emori. God, she was a good liar. You didn’t judge though. In the short time you’d known her and Murphy, you’d learn that they’d do anything to survive.
“We've been over this,” Clarke says, turning to face her. “None of us wants to do this, but the death wave will be here in ten days. Cora's stem cells grafted successfully. Baylis is making nightblood on his own. This really is our only hope.”
You looked the other way. You didn’t want to be a part of this. You didn’t think your blood would have been used to hurt or possibly kill someone. You looked up when you felt Murphy’s eyes studying you.
Any concern in his eyes quickly vanished. “Are we really still talking about this? Black rain is already here. Eighteen people died in it yesterday at Arkadia, so if nightblood can let us walk around in it, I, for one, want to know about that.”
The Doc agreed and gave Jackson the go ahead to turn the radiation chamber on. Tense moments passed with nothing happening.
“Is it working?” You ask quietly.
The second the words slipped from your lips, a beeping filled the room. Something was wrong. Baylis started to scream as his burn marks and blisters started to appear all over his body as he coughed up black blood.
The room went silent as Baylis flatlined.
—
“What are you doing?”
“What does it look like?” You say, putting your jacket on, “I’m leaving.”
Murphy scoffed, “Are you insane? The black rain is killing people.”
“It won’t kill me.”
You looked down from the ledge into the lab. Clarke was cleaning up Baylis's blood while everyone else stood stunned. You tried to use the chaos of what just happened to your advantage and sneak off without anyone noticing. Obviously, your plan hasn’t worked.
“Not you, huh?” Murphy stood in front of you, close enough that you could feel his breath against your cheek. “So, are you really just gonna leave?”
“They have enough of my blood to torture people.”
Murphy clenched his jaw, “Okay, then go. You obviously don’t have anything else worth staying for.”
His gaze burned into you. You wanted to say something, but no words came out.
“No! Stay back. JOHN!”
Hearing a commotion down below, both you and Murphy ran down stairs to see Roan holding a knife to Emori’s throat, saying, “Looks like we know who's next.”
Miller pointed a gun at Murphy's head, preventing him from helping Emori. You attempted to jump forward when you felt something tighten around your wrist. You glared at Clarke as she mumbled an apology. She had bound you to the staircase.
“Untie me, Wanheda!” You spat.
You watched helplessly as Murphy and Emori got dragged towards the rocket and chained to it.
—
You frowned at the brunette when she cut the plastic around your wrist. You winced at the stinging sensation. Raven stood up straight before turning to face everyone else, “Please tell me you're not actually considering putting Emori in that chamber.”
“Mom, I don't know what else to do.”
You glared at the blonde. Of course, the commander of death didn’t see any other option than killing.
“Jackson and I examined every possibility. And the only thing that we know for sure is that if we do nothing, we die.” Doctor Griffin looked over at you and said, “Jackson prep Cora for the next extraction.”
“No, you aren’t taking anymore.”
“Cora, it's ok. We'll sedate you.”
You shook your head. You hissed, standing up as pain shot through your hip.
Clarke stepped in front of you. “Please. Your blood is the one thing that can save us.”
“Azgeda, Skaikru? Maybe you don’t deserve to live if this is what it takes to survive.”
“We need you.”
“Lexa was wrong. There is no line you won't cross in order to survive.”
You tried to move towards where Murphy and Emori were being held, but Roan stood in front of you. “Survival requires sacrifice. If the freikdreina dies-”
“Don’t call her that!”
“If she dies saving the world, that is a good death.”
You look over your shoulder at Abby, “you are not going to make me murder someone I care about.”
Roan folded his arms, “You're wounded. And I don't wanna fight you.”
You smirked, before kicking him in the stomach, making him fall back onto a table. You attempted to run up the stairs, but Roan grabbed you by the hair and pulled you back down before putting you into a chokehold, “Sleep well, natblida.”
—
You struggled to sit upright as you woke up. You felt glued in place as pain radiated through both your hips.
The sounds of Murphy's yells and pleas filled the air as you turned to see Emori being dragged towards the chamber. “Stop! You can’t do this! Just let her go!”
“There is no other way,” Clarke replies. “None of us want this.”
“Tell me then, who’s next? After you kill Emori and Murphy, I mean. Miller? Raven? Jackson? If you were so god damn sure it would work, you’d do it yourself!”
Clarke stared at the needle in her hand before injecting herself instead of Emori. Her mom let out a gasp of horror. “Mom, we have to do this.”
Abby shook her head, “I can’t.”
“I'll finish it. I bear it so they don't have to.”
Despite what almost happened, Emori ran over to you and helped you sit. “I’ve got you, I’ve got you.”
Murphy appeared on the opposite side of you and put his arm around your waist as you slowly swung your legs off the table. When Miller stepped forward to help, Murphy glared at him, “Don't. You’ve done enough already.”
—
Your head rested against Emori’s shoulder as you waited to see if Clarke would go into the radiation chamber or not.
Clarke putting herself forward to go into the chamber was courageous, but it didn’t change that she was going to sacrifice Emori and whoever else it took first.
Abby approached her daughter with tears in her eyes and said, “I can’t let you do this.”
“Mom…I need to. It’s the only way we can find out if this works or not.”
Abby began rambling, saying she saw Clarke die of radiation burns in her dream before grabbing a pole and repeatedly hitting the chamber, causing the glass to smash. The doctor let out a sob before crumbling to her knees.
Clarke knelt down and hugged her mom, “it’s going to be okay.”
You stared down at them, “Yeah, it’s all gonna be over soon.”

Hi! ♡
Thank you for visiting my blog! I'm Jill :)
Regular Requests: Closed
Matchups: Closed
Masterlist
AO3 Account
What I write & character list below!
Asks are always open even if requests aren’t! Feel free to ask questions, talk, rant about your favorites, suggest characters, anything at all! (If I don’t reply it’s probably because it didn’t go through, I try to reply to everything)
Also, requests can take a while to write, so please be patient! Feel free to resubmit requests if it’s been over a month as sometimes asks don’t go through. Sometimes it really just takes that long though depending on how many requests I have at the time.
♡ What I write ♡
I write preferences, headcanons, ships, one-shots/short stories, pretty much everything. Any genre is fine, just nothing explicit. There might be mentions of canon-typical violence, suggestive content, language, etc. Also, I write pretty much exclusively reader-inserts (and sometimes general character stuff). Most of my writings are gender neutral unless otherwise requested for/stated.
(Keep in mind, just because I don’t write anything explicit doesn’t mean blogs I reblog from are the same! And many of the movies/shows I write for are mature so browse and watch at your own discretion! It’s always a good idea to check a movie/show before you watch it. My blog will have language and such as well)
You can request as much as you’d like, just be sure to be detailed if you want something really specific! I’ll usually include all of the characters I write for in preferences, unless I don’t have ideas for them. If you just want headcanons for multiple characters instead that’s okay.
Also: if you ever want quick writings, non reader insert headcanons, gif reactions, things like ‘what would (character) think of (thing)’ etc, feel free to ask! I love replying to things like this. Requests don’t have to be open :)
I might not write every request I get, depending on if I’m comfortable with it or feel like I’ll write it well. Hope you understand! :)
I also have a second account that is 18+. If you're interested, feel free to message me if you're interested!
♡ Matchups/ships ♡
Make sure matchup requests are open before requesting, and be sure to include what fandom/fandoms you want it for! You can request for up to 3 at a time, but my answer will be more in depth for a single fandom.
Some ideas of what to include are a little description of your personality and interests, appearance/style, hobbies, talents, likes/dislikes, ideal date and if you have a 'type', zodiac sign, MBTI/enneagram, love language, whatever you feel is relevant! (Obviously you don't have to include all of that, and don't include anything you aren't comfortable with)
If I know a fandom, I'm willing to write matchups for it, whether or not it's actually in my writing list. Feel free to ask about characters and fandoms!
♡ Characters & fandoms ♡
This isn't very specific as I'm happy to write for most of the characters from these fandoms, or at least try to. Feel free to suggest fandoms/characters! (That having been said though, I might not write longer writings for everyone/everything listed below. But I'll do headcanons for them/include them in matchups)
Slashers & horror characters:
Thomas Hewitt, Brahms Heelshire, Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees, Bubba Sawyer, Chop Top Sawyer, Nubbins Sawyer, Beetlejuice, Candyman, Bo Sinclair, Vincent Sinclair, Lester Sinclair, Graverobber (Repo), Luigi Largo, Pavi Largo, Billy Lenz, Asa Emory (The Collector), Otis Driftwood, Charles Lee Ray, Tiffany Valentine, Josef (Creep), Dewey Riley, Ash Williams, Steven/Specs (Insidious)

Mythological creature ask! Slashers with a Jorōgumo s/o it's a spider spirit around 4000 years old that turns into a beautiful woman and seduces young men wraps them in a web and eats them. It'd be interesting to see how they'd react to the cruel ways.
I hope you don't mind who I chose for this one! I went with the ones I thought would have the most interesting dynamics.
With A Jorōgumo S/O
Asa Emory-
The most fascinated by you. With his love of insects, he's almost certainly heard the legends and was very fond of them. Now that he's found you and has made contact, he's not going to want to let you go so easily.
Asa is the jealous type, he won't have you seducing other men, even if it is to eat them. Instead, he'll bring them to you, parts of his collection he's willing to let go, and he'll watch intensely as you devour them.
Honestly, you're probably his ideal partner. He'll even introduce you to the neighbors in your human form as his beautiful new wife. He's really quite smitten.
Bo Sinclair-
Jokes sometimes about you robbing the cradle or being a cougar. The massive, several thousand year age gap doesn't actually bother him, he just thinks it's funny.
Since not everyone can make the cut as a wax figure, you could be a big help to the town by eating those who Bo doesn't bring to Vincent. Sure, this means some of your prey won't squirm and wiggle in your web as much as you'd like, but it's a free meal, don't complain.
Enjoys introducing you to people while you're in your beautiful human form, making it very clear that you're taken. Enjoys it even more when they're reintroduced but now you're a giant terrifying spider monster.
Michael Myers-
Michael enjoys watching people squirm in terror, the two of you would be a good match in that department, and he could spend the entire day doing nothing but watching you eat people.
Unfortunately, he is also INTENSELY jealous of any man who gets your attention or affection. You won't be able to seduce men into your web around him, they won't make it there alive.
Even more unfortunately, Michael might get restless sometimes and want to off some of your prey before you get the chance to.

I wish you would write a fic where... Don't know if you're still doing these? slightly less angsty than your others (though I love them and they've been getting me through exams). But millarke ps6 bro-bonding and Murphy fearing for the sanctity/primacy of team cockroach (o.g. saltmates) (jealous but platonic Murphy) ft. Others if you would like x
Oh my gosh, this is the most amazing prompt. I can’t say no to this! My two favorite brotps?! And good luck with your exams, love!
No matter what Emori says, he’s not jealous.
He’s not.
Murphy brings the glass of whiskey up to his lips and watches where Millerand Clarke are sitting a few tables down. Miller says something and Clarke laughs, like actually laughs, which hewouldn’t have thought was possible if he hadn’t seen Bellamy cause it – or himself.Twirling the glass in his hands, Murphy scowls at the two of them.
Sure, he was pissed at Clarke. But it didn’t mean he wanted her to moveon. They had history, they had banter, they had something that he didn’t have withanyone else: they had mutual respect via dark humor and shading literallyeveryone around them. Narrowing his eyes, Murphy downs the rest of his drinkand moves over to where the two are.
“What are we laughing about over here?” He asks, wrapping an arm aroundMiller.
Miller stares at it, then at Murphy. “What’s up, man?” He asks, as ifsuspicious of the gesture, which, rude. Murphy is nothing but altruistic thesedays.
“You guys seems to be having the most fun of anyone in the bar. Ithought I’d join.”
“To make it worse?” Miller asks.
“Miller, hush,” Clarke snaps and she makes a quick movement, to whichMiller exclaims “ow!” Murphy pretendshe doesn’t notice. Pulling up a chair, he sits in between the two of them. “We’rejust chatting about a few of the interesting people we’ve met since getting toknow our new neighbors.”
“Interesting? Now we’re talking.” Murphy says, rubbing his hands. “Giveit to me.”
Miller frowns. “You kinda had to be there.” Turning to Clarke, hescrews his face into something that looks like disdain. “‘Have you even heardof wool? Because those boots are ghastly!’”
Clarke lets out a laugh. “Man, the people of Sanctum really don’t likemy boots! They got me through a lot, these shoes.”
“Yeah, how are they even still on your feet?” Miller asks with a laugh.
Clarke joins him. Murphy hates it. It’s been a while since he’s feltthe need to punch someone for no reason. About three days. It’s a long time forhim.
He wants to punch Miller, though.
Murphy wonders if Clarke would mind. Probably. With all the ‘let’s be better’and ‘let’s be the good guys’ trip she’s on.
As Murphy’s going back and forth on what he should do about Miller – topunch or not to punch – Miller stands up. Murphy flinches, for a brief, illogical moment, thinking he’s read his mind, when Miller walks over to Clarkeand kisses the top of her head. “Alright loser,” he says with a fond smile. “Ihave a hot date with Jackson, a bottle of wine, and a supernatural sunset. Seeyou tomorrow.”
“See you tomorrow.” Clark says with a grin. “See you in the morningfor exploring?”
“You know it. Later Murphy.”
Murphy flicks his fingers so he’s not a complete asshole, but can’t help but grumble into his glass. Clarketurns back around and faces him and frowns. “What’s with the face?”
“What face?”
“Your face.”
“You have a problem with my face?”
“No, you just look weird.”
“Well, that’s rude.”
Clarke’s frown deepens and she reaches out. “Are you okay?” Clarke asks, grabbing his hand.
“Oh, you know me,” Murphy says, flagging someone down to refill hisdrink. “Always fine.”
“Yeah, aren’t we all?” Clarke asks, taking a sip of her drink. “What’sreally bothering you?”
“You know, you should probably be careful getting all chummy withMiller,” Murphy says matter-of-factly, swirling his drink. “You realize hehelped lead a cannibalistic cult, right?”
“You realize that they wouldn’t have survived otherwise?” Clarke asks.
“Are you seriously defending him?” Murphy asks. “And here I thought we’dfinally have something to talk about.”
“We have a bunch to talk about,” Clarke says, eyeing his drink. “But I’mnot going to be okay with you going after him. We’ve all done things we wishedwe could take back.”
“Ugh, can you stop the act?” Murphy asks. “You did cutthroat things, and Miller did cutthroat things, and we all know I’ve sure as hell donecutthroat things. Can we just admit it and move on?”
Clarke surveys him. “I don’t know, can we?”
“I mean, he just comes back and is like ‘hey, I was a part of theoriginal 100. Forgive me?’ It’s so transparent.”
“Uh huh,” Clarke says, a smile teasing the corners of her lips.
“As if we all can just move on.” Murphy scoffs. “Whatever.”
“You are jealous.” Clarke says, clearly trying not to laugh.
Murphy freezes. He stares at her, seeing how she’s trying not to laugh.“Come on—”
“It’s cute!” Clarke says, wrapping her arms around him.
Murphy isn’t sure what to do. Clarke’s never been a super physicallyaffectionate person, so when she holds him, he isn’t sure what to do. “Stop it—”
“Oh my gosh, are you worried that you’re being replaced?”
“I swear to god—”
“No one can replace you, Murphy.” Clarke says, kissing his cheek andpulling back. “Seriously.”
Murphy can’t help it – something inside his chest loosens. He doesn’twant to admit it – or show it for that matter – so he focuses on his drink. “Whatever.”
“Seriously, Murphy.” Clarke says. “I mean this at the bottom of myheart.”
Murphy looks up at her.
“Go fuck yourself.”
Murphy can’t help it – he bursts into laughter. “Fuck you, Clarke!”
“Seriously. Fuck yourself sideways.”
“What is wrong with you?” Murphy asks, wrapping an arm around her. “Youare so much more twisted than anyone thinks. Why doesn’t anyone else see it?”
Clarke lifts a glass. “Team Cockroach.”
Murphy looks at the glass. After a second, he raises his own.
“Team Cockroach, baby.”

Darling, I'm with you (a bellarke one shot)
Hey everyone, this is my first work for @bellarkebingo.
It's set after s6, when Clarke comes back in her body, and it is a little angst(cause, of course, I can't write happy things)
Hope you enjoy it!
Read it on ao3.
***
We fell asleep to escape from the sun
And we woke up to the sound of a storm outside
-I'm with you, Vance joy
It still didn't feel real.
Laying on one of the ship's cabin, Clarke kept staring at the ceiling.
She knew she was exhausted, Josephine had refused to sleep for a long time, but she just couldn't manage to fall asleep.
Sleeping should have been a release, a solace. But to her, it was a cage.
She had been forced to face her fears, her sins, and now that she had seen them all, now that she had acknowledged her deepest demons, ones that she had kept away from her own mind for too long, she was just too tired of monsters.
She knew she would have seen them all again, once she had closed her eyes.
Panic flawed inside her. She touched her chest with one hand, trying to control her breathing.
In with the nose, out with mouth.
It had been her mantra for a long time, now. She knew her friends, or the ones that she could once call friends, thought she was cold and insensitive, always ready to do what others couldn't.
She knew she had grown the ability to keep her emotions aside, to rely just on rationality, and it was everything but easy.
As much as she hated it, Clarke was still a person. She had feelings, emotions, she had fears and hope and dreams, sometimes. She felt.
More than she wanted to.
She tried to deny some emotions to herself. But she just couldn't.
And in that moment, alone on her bed, trying to gain control on her brain, she just felt helpless.
A few tears escaped her eyes.
She had been lonely for most of her life. Even on the Ark, besides her parents, the only person who had loved her and accepted her for who she was, with all of her flaws, was Wells. And she had lost him, twice.
Clarke had always known that the only person she could rely on was herself, but she wasn't able to trust her own mind lately. Or even worse, she was scared of it. What could she do? There was no escape. She couldn't run away, although she wanted to.
Wherever she went, her demons would have followed. It had always been like that. But this time, she was just too tired to fight them.
She thought of Madi.
She had failed her, too.
She had promised to protect her, to give her the life she couldn't have, to make her happy.
But what she actually did was throwing her to war, giving her the responsibilities and fears that a child should never have.
She had ruined her.
Wherever you go, death follows.
Some other tears had fallen from her eyes.
Even though she was back in her own body, Clarke felt lost.
She knew she had chosen to bare all this pain. I bare it, so they don't have to.
But what was the point?
She thought of her friends, of their surprised and relieved faces when she came back.
She thought of Miller, Emori, even Echo, slightly smiling. She thought of Murphy's guilty face, his eyes staring at her with a mixture of challenge and regret.
She thought of Raven's watery eyes, her mouth still spitting out bitter words, but this time the insults had come out trembling.
Clarke would have thought a hint of affection was in them, but she didn't dare to hope.
And then she thought of Bellamy.
He was there was she returned.
The first thing she had seen when she had opened her eyes, when she had realized she could see and hear and touch things again, was his worried face.
His eyes full of insecurity, his mouth trembling with fear.
What was he afraid of? That she was never coming back?
Without even realizing she was doing it, Clarke had touched Bellamy's cheek, just to make sure he was really there.
"Bell" she had whispered helplessly.
His name on her mouth sounded like a cry for help. She was reaching to him, like she was drowning in deep waters.
It was like that little word had given him some sort of impulse, because he inmediately locked her in his arms.
The feeling was so relieving, that Clarke started sobbing. All the fear she had kept away to save herself washed over her, and she couldn't control it anymore.
With every sob, Bellamy's caresses on her hair felt lighter, more delicate than the previous ones.
It had reminded her of six years ago, when he had comforted her right before the end of the world.
This time was different, though, because he was crying too.
She could feel the wetness of his cheeks against the back of her neck.
The only sound she could hear, after her desperate sobs, was her name on Bellamy's mouth.
"Clarke" he had repeated over and over again, each time more consciously than the other, as he was realizing, like her, that she was really there.
She closed her eyes, still trying to gain control, and she thought of Bellamy saying her name, again and again.
She thought of his soft lips against her shoulder, of his hands on her hair.
Right before she fell asleep, she could have sworn she heard the sound of his heartbeat against hers, like he was lying next to her.
***
She woke up gasping, in desperate need for air. She felt her cheeks wet, she must have cried in her sleep. Clarke brought a hand to her neck. Her throat was aching, it burnt like she had been screaming for hours.
She knew what she would have seen in her dreams, there was no way to escape them. The images were so vivid in her head that she wondered if she was still trapped in her mind.
It was hard to understand what was real.
She closed her eyes, trying to gain some control.
She had dreamt of Madi, her body covered in blood and her eyes a storm of rage, strong enough to destroy a planet.
She had seen her with a sword, her grip so stable and her posture so confident that she looked like she was meant to war all along. That last part was probably true, Clarke thought.
She had tried to avoid that, but she had failed.
And her failure had ruined Madi's life. She had lost her innocence, her joy, her curiosity. How could have she done that to her own daughter?
In her dreams, Madi looked right at her, spitting bitter words to her face.
"Wanheda" she had called her. Commander of death.
That word alone was enough to send a chill down her spine. Every time she had heard that word, it was full of disgust, of despise.
But Madi had told it with a toneless voice, like the word didn't scare her.
"I knew you would have come for me." she kept saying.
Clarke had took a step towards her, but Madi still looked so far away from her.
"Madi, I would never hurt you" she had said in her dream.
But her daughter just looked at her, a grin on her face, and told the words she would have never wanted to hear from her.
"Did you expect to protect me from the world, Clarke? Did you really think you could do that?" she laughed bitterly, and Clarke felt like somebody was stabbing her in the chest.
"You could never have given me the life I deserve, Wanheda. I was doomed the moment you found me in the woods."
A few tears escaped Clarke's eyes. She knew it had been just a nightmare, but deep down she thought those words were true.
What had she done?
How could have she expected to love Madi without causing her any harm?
She started sobbing loudly, incapable to control herself. Not that she cared about anyone hearing her, anyway.
The sound of her cry was loud in the silence of the night. With every sob, a small part of her crumbled.
The door of the cabin cracked open.
Instinctively, Clarke started to clean her face from the tears. She stopped when she saw who was standing right in front of her.
In the weak light of the room, Bellamy looked more tired than ever. His face was worryingly pale.
He walked to her slowly, as if scared she would have pushed him away.
She felt her heart tighten up in her chest.
After all those years, he still didn't know how much he mattered to her.
She helplessly watched him sit on the bed beside her, and a small sigh left her mouth.
She smiled tiredly when she said "I'm sorry for the noise. I didn't mean to bother anyone"
Bellamy stared at her, scrutinizing her face as if he was in front of a mystery nobody had ever solved.
He took her hand in his, holding it tight.
"Don't worry, princess." he whispered "you didn't wake anyone. I barely heard you."
A small smile brightened his face.
Relief washed over her. She was happy he was there with her, trying to make her smile.
The burden in her chest slightly lightened.
But it still hurt.
Bellamy must have noticed the resigned look on her face, cause he moved closer to her.
"Clarke" he said, his voice slightly trembling "it was just a dream".
A little laugh escaped her mouth.
"Sometimes, I wish it was all a dream. I wish anything I saw was real." she took a small pause after this last sentence "I wish I wasn't real".
She closed her eyes, her body still aching for sleep. How long had she been asleep? A few hours?
"What time is it?" she weakly asked, her eyes still closed.
"The last time I checked, it was 4 a.m"
Although he had said it with a humorous voice, she could feel worry wash over him.
His eyes were still studying her.
He was probably afraid she could have started crying again. Honestly, she was afraid, too.
Bellamy had already had problems by trying to rescue her. She didn't want to make things worse for him.
"Why were you awake so early? Couldn't sleep?" she tried to change the focus from herself.
"I couldn't." she heard him answer "I had to make sure you were fine"
If the words weren't enough to make her heart lose a beat, his serious tone certainly was.
She opened her eyes, looking at him.
"You mean" she started, not sure what to say "you were behind my door all the time?"
Her surprised tone made him laugh, his cheeks assuming a timid shade of red.
Clarke couldn't help but analyze him.
She had always found him beautiful, like an ancient creature of the earth, some of those mythological figures he seemed to love so much.
She had always been scared to draw him, afraid some of his beauty would have gone away because of her hands.
In that moment, she wished she had her pencils.
"I didn't have anything better to do" he merely answered.
They stayed like that for a while.
Side by side on Clarke's bad, their hands still locked together.
Each of them looking for words to say, but neither of them daring to break the silence that seemed to create a calm atmosphere around them.
"It was Madi" Clarke heard herself say. The words escaping her mouth without her consent.
She didn't have to explain what she meant, because Bellamy already had an aware look on his face.
She took a breath, and started telling him about her nightmare.
Repeating the words she had heard Madi say was painful, but somehow she managed to let everything out without breaking down into an ugly cry.
Maybe it was because of her need to talk with somebody.
Or, maybe, it was Bellamy's firm and steady grip on her hand, that somehow kept her from fading away.
When she finished talking, she just stared blankly in front of her, not expecting an answer.
Bellamy's words came from the distance.
"I'm sorry" he said, his voice breaking on the last word. "I should have been there. For you. For Madi. I'm sorry, I let you down."
A small tear escaped his eyes.
Every word he had spoke were soaked with guilt. Typical Bellamy, Clarke thought, always beating himself for not doing enough for the people he loved.
An electrifying feeling crept through her at the thought she belonged to that category in Bellamy's life.
She smiled at him, even though he wasn't facing her anymore.
She hadn't thought what losing her meant to Bellamy. A part of her hoped he would come rescue her from her personal hell, but she had pushed that hope away in order to save herself. She knew it was unfair to expect him to give up to his friends, his family's safety in order to save her life. He had already lost her once and managed to survive anyway.
But even though she kept repeating those words to herself, she still waited for him to take her away from that place, to save her one more time.
And that little, weak, almost invisible beam of hope was enough to keep her alive.
"Bell" she called for him, like she had done many times before.
She wished she was good with words. She wished she could let her feelings out easily, like he did.
There were just too many things to be told.
After all they had been through, after all the loss and the pain, she thought he deserved to know.
But instead of revealing feelings she had tried to keep away from him, and from herself, for so long, she asked "Will you sleep with me?"
The question lingered in the silence for some minutes.
The surprise in his face made her blush a little. Before she could deny her offer, he nodded, his smile still slightly open.
She laid down on her bed, its softness so comforting she let out a sight without wanting.
She felt exhausted. Her tired eyes were slowly leading her to sleep.
Before going back to the darkness, she saw Bellamy smiling reassuringly at her. His eyes bright in the weak light.
Their bodies separated only by their hands, still locked together.
A warm feeling washed over her, and this time, she felt more brave when she faced her mind.

Casual reminder Clorke is one of the main reasons Monty and Harper had to stay behind and not live out their lives with the rest of the family. Another casual reminder that Bellamy is still the heart about his found family, and that Raven, Murphy, Emori are petty and bitter little shits who don't mind doing shady shit for whatever reason they think is valid and also don't give a flying fig about taking the higher road. The only person who would've been mad but eventually forgiving is Harper.
I was gonna say that Echo would be understanding, but she probably just thinks Clorke is a dumb bitch with a bunch of complexes. Not that Echo doesn't understand what her motives were, she just thinks Clorke and her plans and her Wanheda nickname and her constant need to be in charge of someone's lives are fcking stupid. And if anyone says Monty-"Then die"-Green forgave her, they need to rewatch both s5 and s2.
Oh, and everyone being like "Bellamy and the spacekru lived by Clorke's words blah blah". Echo taught Bellamy to remain calculated and strategic in situations that are difficult for him. The 100 taught Bellamy patience and how to be in charge of a group that's so vastly different and motivate them when things get tough. Monty didn't need Clorke to tell him how to feed everyone. The man knew how to do his own damn job. They remembered her, but it's not like she made them better, ffs.
You’re absolutely right, Nonnie!
While Monty, who is very forgiving, not because he should be, but because he doesn’t like conflict, and Harper, who is a literal angel and would eventually forgive Clarke, not because she deserves it, but out of the goodness of her heart, none of the others would ever forgive Clarke for putting their family in danger. In fact, I’m not even sure Monty would, because he’d already lost Jasper and part of that is on Clarke for her alliance with Lexa and he knows that.
Raven, Murphy, and Emori would be willing to tear Clarke to shreds for any little thing she does wrong (and lbr, she makes a lot of mistakes) because of what she did. They’d never let her forget it. They’re incredibly petty and incredibly loyal to those they love, so they’d have no problem calling Clarke on her shit constantly.
Echo may understand, but she doesn’t approve. Like, I’m sure she can understand doing anything to save the person you love, but Clarke doing that (even though the Flame wasn’t really going to put Madi in danger) put Echo’s family in danger, so Echo isn’t going to let that go easily. She probably thinks Clarke’s a shitty leader and she’s right. Echo is extremely brilliant and she knows bad leadership when she sees it, and Clarke is a prime example of bad leadership. So not only will Echo not forgive her, she most likely won’t respect her for a very long time, if she ever does.
Now, Bellamy might forgive her one day, but Bob said at Unity Days that he hadn’t forgiven her yet, which means that they’re really giving him the character development he deserv es. Clarke has done nothing but manipulate and hurt him since S1 and it’s high time he gets to be angry with her for her choices. Bellamy is such a great leader, unlike Clarke, he actually does what’s best for his people, even at his own expense, and when he makes a mistake, he holds himself accountable. That’s why he’s such a great leader. Because if he fucks up, he recognizes it, makes amends, and strives not to do it again. Clarke has never once done that, and Bellamy has already noticed this (’People die when you’re in charge!’). He’s not about to forgive her, not only for endangering his family and leaving him for dead, but for endangering all of the human race, allowing the Earth to be ruint, and causing Monty and Harper to have to find a solution that ultimately lead to their deaths (though they may have been happy, they weren’t with their full family).
No one is going to forgive Clarke easily, especially not Spacekru. And that’s exactly what she deserves.

I'm so petty, I'd make a gifset about all the times Clarke fucked Murphy over and then link the screenshot of that tag as my insp, but I'm also very lazy and I don't have all the eps. People and their absolutely ridiculous generic headcanons that have nothing to do with the actual characters that they're trying to portrait as the accurate reading of the show... Because they know shit better than the writers and the actors, duh.
Here, I’ll help.
Times that Clarke has fucked over Murphy:
when she jumped to conclusions and accidentally let to a mob beating and hanging him
when she refused to see that he was trying to do better and blamed him for Finn’s mistake (along with everyone - if Jaha hadn’t been there to encourage him to do better, I’m sure he would have ended up back at square one)
when she was like yolo, I’m getting out of Polis, Murphy who? and he got stuck with ONTARI
when she was like yolo, I’m throwing the girl you love in the radiation death chamber because there’s a chance we could save the people I care about, but I’m sure she’ll be fine
when she definitely didn’t put his name on the list
when she definitely didn’t care enough to help him or Emori get a spot in the bunker and was just going to run off to go save Raven and let them sort themselves out even though Murphy had just helped her
when Bellamy was like but what about Murphy (and Emori and Raven and Echo) and Clarke was like Murphy (and Emori and Raven and Echo) who? Madi and I will be fine, it’s all good
when she teamed up with McCreary even though that meant all of Spacekru was in danger
like has Clarke helped Murphy several times too? yes, she has. did she even purposely fuck him over half of those times? no. but the point is, Murphy is so far down on Clarke’s list of priorities that he usually does get fucked over because she CARES MORE ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE and doesn’t care enough about him to worry about him
the fact that Clarke often has helped him is what makes their relationship so interesting, but it doesn’t mean that they’re bffs for life or that she even really cares about him that much. it’s very much like this - when Clarke is in the position to help Murphy and it doesn’t contradict with anything else Clarke wants more, she will help him. that doesn’t necessarily mean there’s a whole lot of love in that relationship. it means she helps him when it’s convenient
but no. those fans who think they’re best friends definitely know more than the writers of the show. the rest of us are blind

I'm not feeling the full emotional weight of the 6 year time jump. I get it with Clarke, because we saw her meet Madi and digging out the Rover and roaming around the burnt earth. But I don't feel the same for Bellamy. The reunion went better than I ever could have expected, the writing is amazing so far this season and of course Bob has been awesome. So it's not that. I just feel like I'm missing something because I didn't get to see him grieve. Do you get that at all or is it just me?
Uhmmm…. it’s not just you. I’ve heard other people feel similar. But I don’t agree.
For me, I think it comes down to what story is being told.
The flashbacks they told were of the stories where we had survival at stake. Danger. Death. The apocalypse. War. Revolution. Because this is a post-apocalyptic science fiction survival show. And these are the stories they tell. ALWAYS. This is what it’s about.
Spacekru was a ship in a bottle with no danger. The only stories were about waiting, working, feelings, interpersonal conflicts without enemies or death, grieving, love, sex, boredom, yearning, waiting waiting waiting.
If they had told that story, what they would have had was a soap opera. I’m sure there’s lots to be told within that framework, and they left it open, on purpose, for us to create those stories as fans. They did. Listen. I’ve talked to the writers about this. Aaron said. The duty of a story teller is to create a scaffolding so that the audience can take over and flesh it out and make it real for themselves. Leaving it ambiguous and untold gives us the opportunity to create it for ourselves.
And since what happened with spacekru is NOT part of the apocalypse, war, or danger story, it is FREE for us to create. We know their start point and their end point. How they got there is up to us to decide.
I personally do not feel cheated. I know how long 6 years is and how much development can happen when you are left alone with yourself to come to grips with your own story. And they were left alone. Even if there were 6 other people there, NOTHING was happening, so they ALL had to be confronted with themselves. Thus Bellamy as patient as forgiving, Raven as guilt ridden, Murphy as feeling useless and self hating, Emori as antagonistic and aggressively useful, Monty as aggressively peace loving, DAMMIT!, Harper as loving and supportive (we’ve gotten the least from her tbh. funloving maybe?) and Echo as aggressively loving and supportive of every single one of her new family. (Actually, I just realized how aggressively well adjusted they all are, except for Murphy who is aggressively poorly adjusted. It’s like they’re all working really hard to be fine and work well with others. Which makes sense as they don’t have any choice.)
There is absolutely nothing about what happened up there that feels out of character or unearned to me, because it fits my personal world view. But that, of course, is me. I don’t like soap operas, so I am not sorry they didn’t tell that story, but rather stuck with the scifi action drama.
There is, however, one story that they are telling that is NOT about post-apocalyptic action survival. And do you know what that is? I bet you can guess.
It’s Bellarke. That’s why they separated them for the time jump. Because the story is ABOUT them. And if she had been there, that story would have to have been told, but then it wouldn’t be a post-apocalyptic action survival show.
So we get the background for our action survival show, but the STORY doesn’t start until Bellarke gets back together. 5.03 was about getting them reunited. The head and the heart. Now we can get going.
But wait. We have our backbone to the story back (the structure of the story is BUILT around them) but nothing is going to work out until they get back that THIRD part of the triangle. The head. The heart. And the soul, or spirit. OCTAVIA.
To be honest, the Bellarke story is pretty straightforward, if rocky at times, but the trinity story is MESSY. Octavia’s motivation has always been unpredictable, or not her motivation, but what she does with it. VERY fire element. (which represents the spirit) She can burn everything down or bring everyone together.
And I am not sure if the questions of loyalty and family aren’t going to end up replacing her with Madi. (in the symbolism of the story.)
If you’re following along, that makes Clarke air/intellect, the blade that can kill or cut out the poison to allow for healing, Bellamy water/emotion, the sea which can nurture or drown, Octavia (maybe Madi now) fire/spirit, the flame which can immolate or draw people together in community, and Raven/Monty/the Delinquents earth/body, the tool which can get things done or bury them.
Listen. I realize I went totally off your ask. But it’s not really. I’m explaining to you WHY this lack of focus on spacekru doesn’t bother me.
I think fandom, especially in shipping circles, focuses pretty closely on *character* and relationships. So when the show doesn’t or the characters feel confusing, fandom feels cheated. But for me, when characters take a back seat, I start looking at OTHER elements of story. What I’m looking at here is plot (there is no plot movement up in space. they’re basically on ice,) and symbolism.
Both plot and symbolism explain the lack of spacekru development. And tell us that the important elements of the story will not come back into play until the groups reunite. THAT’S when the story starts again. Because that’s what it’s about. Oh. Look. It’s the trinity again. I don’t want to tell you characters aren’t important because they are. But they are only one leg.
Characters=the heart of the show. Plot=the head of the show. Symbolism=the spirit of the show. THEY ALL WORK TOGETHER. When one part feels confusing, look for answers in the others.
Wait. Wait. I got the fourth element.
AUDIENCE=the body of the show. We are the earth. The meaning we make, how we make the story come to life in our heads and community. The point of telling the story.
You know what? Tell me to shut up. I know it’s all weird. If you don’t want to think about story this way, you don’t have to. But I do, and I think, on some level, maybe even subconsciously, this story does. Except the elemental thing? This is done on purpose. Very archetypal. This story uses archetypes. That scene of the burning of Arkadia? That was a trinity. Nearly a Pieta. Yeah. No. They’re doing it on purpose, and if you use these concepts to analyze the show it ALL makes a LOT more sense and is more satisfying.

Do any of your district 2 victors have or ever had any mental illnesses like, OCD, anxiety etc. Or do any of them have anything like ADHD. I think a few of them might have something (I headcanon it really). But I'd be interested in knowing your ideas if you have any.
so the short version of this is that I don't really DSM my victors but I do think a lot about their trauma responses when I'm writing them
I talked about this briefly in another ask, in that I think the program probably does select out for SOME things, anxiety being one. Petra's probably the one who has it the worst and white-knuckles her way through via masking and various centre-provided coping mechanisms. it's worse in non-THG universes where she doesn't have, you know, murder-PTSD to deal with and instead everything is the OTHER kind of terrifying like "relationships" and "making friends"
(Claudius has a bit of social anxiety but with him it's so hard to untangle what's trauma or childhood C-PTSD or Games-PTSD that at this point ??? ??????? Alec, same deal, yes he definitely has anxiety BIG time but how much is it his brain and how much is it his abuse? who's to say. he only gets therapy in like ........ one universe)
ADHD on the other hand I think you find a LOT more in the Program, not that anyone in District 2 knows what ADHD is, but, y'know, this is where they send kids who can't sit still/can't focus on school but CAN rattle off strings of facts about their chosen obsession/take risks/get in fights because they don't know how to make friends and have BIG FEELINGS, so while the Program selects OUT for anxiety, I think it selects IN for the traits of ADHD without necessarily realizing
the other thing of course is that WITHOUT THE MURDER the program is probably quite good for ADHD kids, you get a lot of physical movement and hands-on activity, outlets for those big emotions (swords!!!), constant validation, very little academic work but when it is (memorizing the death list) it's easily mastered by hyperfocus AND it's tied into everyone's Main Interest, so ... I think it really is a thriving environment
just, you know. literal murder school. womp womp
Misha and Selene are both big-time ADHDers though and so is Devon, he's the inattentive type and they're both impulsive. Emory meanwhile does NOT have ADHD in the slightest but is very patient
OCD I'm not sure? this is another one that is SO hard to tell because like ........ the Centre and then the Arena-trauma gives rise to intrusive thoughts, especially violent/unpleasant ones, like almost all the Victors have them at some point! but that's a trauma response. ditto the whole 'coping by control and ritual' like that is an actual thing that mentors teach their kids. so that's ........... tricky. also Lyme has cleaning compulsions that arose out of childhood trauma and flare up in times of stress, but I think it's probably solidly a childhood PTSD response (in that without that background, I don't think she'd do it). ditto Alec, he probably also ticks several boxes but again with the 'is it or is it trauma' thing, I'm not sure
if complex-trauma-develops-into-full-blown-OCD is a thing, though, that would be Joseph. this is what happens when we break the rules and safety-through-obedience-rituals indeed. thoughts of black bags and guns and bodies falling to the ground. thoughts of his children lying dead. do this and your sons are safe. do it again. do it again. do it one more time. now you can sleep.
I'm curious to see people's headcanons though!

hey, a qna 285 follow-up. I looked through the mbti type links you posted and omfg, emmy is really most likely to be INFJ ☠️ like no wonder i cannot relate to her decisions lmfao! I said this because i'm an INTJ and as soon as i can relate to her perceiving her surroundings, she does something weird that caught me off guard like huhhhh? But im not mad at her yk, she just surprised me that's all. No because unsurprisingly, as an INTJ, i can understand where she came from, but her actions, words and thoughts are always so?? 🤣🫣 But not in a i-disagree-and-hate-this-character way but in a, ok-youre-kinda-relatable-but-why-did-you-choose-decision-a-instead-of-b-thats-not-rational, because just when i thought she should do rational a decision, she did b. EMORY's character always left me confused but surprisingly i understood her decisions and wasn't mad at her at all? Ngl, i wished she bullied Will more so that she can actually lived up to his pointy-finger claims and allegations 🙄 because will is so?? Lmao, he wouldn't have survived ME that's for sure. HAHAHAHAHAHA IDK!
As an INTJ, how i can relate or not relate to her is: i feel like emmy's almost there, but not quite in her decisions as compared to what i would actually do irl! Interesting enough i have a friend in real life who's also an INFJ, and another one who's ENFJ, and guess what KO, they're all so similar!!! Omg!!!! Hahahahaah, cute! Another two of my friends are INFPs, another one was ENFP, and only one is ISTJ, and ngl, this T type is really strict ☠️ and we only got along after a lot of dumb petty fights and heart to heart sessions, but even then we're still very stubborn. She's my most reliable friend though so theres that. Do i just attract a certain MBTI or Cognitive Funtion types or something because whaaaat? 5 N-F friends is crazy! No because if they try to confront me, theyre the ones who'll run away first and cry? Like, what? LMFAO! Thats why i said, Emmy's understandably weird, and cute. Very compassionate, helpful, sincere, and kind too. Similar to my healthy N-F-J friends. Oh, and they're very persuasive, bossy and moody alright. When theyre happy, everyone's happy, when theyre sad, oof the whole room can feel that. Whew! Only, idgaf, i wasnt always affected by that. Wow, maybe their type is just like that in general, huh? Now i'm interested to know what people of their type think of me ngl. What about you KO, can you relate to Emmy or any DN characters in any way? Idk if you've disclosed this before, and if you don't mind me asking, what's your MBTI type?
Another interesting thought, as an INTJ, reading about a possible INFJ, Emory, her pov actually didnt make me feel like she put me through a wringer as much, but then maybe because i'm also almost similar to her? Intense, thats what we are. And very unyielding. Our perceiving functions, Ni and Se are the same, but our deciding functions that decide the way we make decisions are very different, hers being Fe and Ti, while mine being Te and Fi, hence why i can understand the things that she went through, i just cant relate to her actions in general, but still find her caharcter fascinating and amusing to read about. And my friends in life are also pretty intense and the insightful type? So Idk, i get this a lot so maybe because it's our kind of normal, thats why nightfall was quite a breeze read to me. I knew of people who read nightfall and cried themselves to tears, but icant lie, i never experienced that. Onky through booktok and booktwt that i knew how many of them reacted very strongly to this book. Interesting! This made me wonder, what were the readers of nightfall's cognitive functions or MBTIs' to be having them reacting the way they reacted with the text.
When readers say they felt then cried so much for Emmy, i was shocked, and even more shock when they said they felt more sorry for will, because i wasnt sorry for him, almost, at ALL. Sure, i can see what emmy went through, but i don't have that strong emorions as others, my reactions were pretty similar to Emmy, especially when she doesnt look like she was feeling much even though her brain and heart was processing or going through a lot? Again, Similar, yet so different. Other than that, I thought what happened to Will was less sympathetic or empathetic to me because they are usually, 1. Consequences of his own bad decisions, and 2. Because he chose the wrong crowd to be around. It always lead back to him at some point, but he never seem to acknowledge that until noghtfall. But then that was the reason he liked emmy so much, and it couldnt be anyone else. Idk, if i was Will, no matter what background or how privileged i have or was, cognitively, i dont think i would ever feel as comfortable as him to be putting blame on everyone and everything about my life without admitting my wrongs.
but then my INTJ type is also known for that; Being Accountable and responsible for my own stuff, but i do lack sensitivity when it comes to things like this, so maybe that's why i never bought Will's bullshit, because what he said he did didnt match up with what he actually did. I'm sure his brothers grew up happy too, but they were never labelled as coddled or spoiled or irresponsible so there's only so mich of wealth and privilege that he can hide behind before it shows his true personality that he needed to fix. even though i can understand where he came from, i still dont agree with will most of the time. In fact, i dont like flaky people like him irl. Maybe thats why his character annoys me very much. Maybe my opinion is also an outlier because my personality type is not even a common type, hence my opnion can be unpopular. So many maybes! I said unpopular because As much as there's a lot of criticism about Will or even damon on your account KO (and even booktwt), we're actually the outlier, we're probably the only group who thought this way, because if you check goodreads and storygraph, there were more criticisms of Emmy than Will, and even Damon 🫠
I heard when Nightfall was released, so many people were against Emmy in PD's FB group and goodreads, and they wished Will ended up with Alex, and at first i thought it was joke, but when i filter through Goodreads reviews to the oldest, wow, it's really true! And i was not only shocked, but was sad about it because she's my favourite FMC in the whole series! I noticed that Emmy had only been slowly gaining fans a year after her character was published, and after she got promoted positively on social media by other Emory fans and promotion of fan edits on booktok. This might be the first time i feel like social media did my fav char justice, LOL! i wished i was there in 2020-2021 PD's FB group so i can see all nightfall criticims unfold LIVE myself. So when PD said that maybe their fans (possibly they made a conclusion based on the response in their FB group) didnt like when they wrote characters like Emmy or Aro, i believe them because we're actually in the minorities unfortunately. Not pnly in minorities, it took time for the emory fans before us to put the work for others to hear about how amazing she was. And Sure, the ones who like emmy are very loud now, but if we do a poll, Winter and Rika then and even now are still in the #1 and #2 spots everywhere. Side note, Even stans on twitter believe that Will's only fault was he loved too much... like bad Will in corrupt, hideaway and kill switch didnt exist? idk, i thought this opinion of theirs on him was dumb, because it dismiss his characterisation of being more accountable and responsible in his present and future, as compared to his embarrasing past mistakes, but hey, it's a fan space, anybody can think whatever they want. I just dont have to agree and engage with them.
anyway, coming back to me saying reading nightfall felt like a breeze, when all that shit happened in blackchurch, in the train and even afterwords, my face and feeling was like 😠😕😟😶🥰😶😶😶❓❔ not 🤢🤮🥰😘😍🥺😢😫😖😣🤯🤬😡😰😱😨🫣😓🤥🫠🫨🥱😪🤤😵😵💫🤐🤮🤢🥴😷🤒🤠👹👹👹💩💩🤡☠️ you know what i mean. My feelings were pretty tame actually. I guess i did feel a lot and intensely, but not as variant and reactively like other readers? Because i feel that was how my reaction was vs others. And i think i'm pretty level-headed too, because a lot of things that people hate or were mad about nightfall (and theyre valid things to be mad about), i'm mostly indifferent about them. To me, the past is the past, and even though there are some things i wished were not there in nightfall, ultimately, idgaf anymore, and the greater good is more important. People evolve, and because of emmy, she made me ship will with her, and my willemmy shipper heart would always root for their happiness and what they want, even though i believe will needed some kicks in his ass still. But if he said he would improve and if emmy already believed that he will be on that path, and that path is the best for them, i'm chill.
And even if i did have a strong opinion before, i just believe what i want to believe now and have fun with the books and the fandom. Even if i dont participate, i like to observe fans interactions. The only thing that made me angry recently are usually PDs rsponse to the fandom, epecially to willemmy. I might have gone through some thinking about them too, but ultimately, my experience is my space, so, i either dgaf or care enough to respond to them or i'll ponder but then move on pretty quickly after. My stance made me feel like the experience of watching the interactions of this fandom so interesting because you all are such passionate people, and it reminds me of why i love being in a fandom and being a fan of literature. Might be because i'm an INTJ. I dont believe in MBTI and Cogn Fxs to a T but i can see even clearly now how it shaped how i consume and react to literature and what i like and dislike about them. Pretty fun and insightful! Ugghhh! I love discussions, so thank you KO for mobilising it here 😊 Thank you too for your fanfics that you wrote during your free time, and other things you came up with to make the fandom experience more fun and discursive here!
Hey!!
I looked through the mbti type links you posted and omfg, emmy is really most likely to be INFJ
I’m so happy at least one person checked them out and that I’m not completely off about Emmy. The most confusing thing for me going through the characters was that Kai and Emmy both came out as INFJs. Obviously every individual is going to present differently, and I do think both are different levels of unhealthy, but it still gave me a lot of pause. I might have to revisit Kai eventually (or hope someone who has read more on him and understand better will do it for me…).
i can understand where she came from, but her actions, words and thoughts are always so?? 🤣🫣 But not in a i-disagree-and-hate-this-character way but in a, ok-youre-kinda-relatable-but-why-did-you-choose-decision-a-instead-of-b-thats-not-rational
Same. I loved her character from the start, but it took me a few read throughs, and seeing thoughts from others, to see the different layers of her character, and even wrap my head around some of her decisions. There are, of course, some things I will never understand or agree with from Emory, but I’m not expected to, so it’s no big deal.
Ngl, i wished she bullied Will more so that she can actually lived up to his pointy-finger claims and allegations
I think I would have loved some more banter from them in the present; something that wasn’t layered in years of misunderstanding and secrets, that showed how they’re going to be together once all that is resolved. The little bit in the epilogue was a small sample, but I wanted a feast. But one of my main headcanons for Willemmy is that he cannot let his guard down around her, because the second she catches him slipping, there’s no holding back. What, did he think she was going to be nice just because he put a ring on it? Boy has to be ready for any verbal, sparing because she’s always ready to call him out on his bs.
What about you KO, can you relate to Emmy or any DN characters in any way? Idk if you've disclosed this before, and if you don't mind me asking, what's your MBTI type?
Your friend group sounds really cute! In some ways, I can relate to Emory. I feel like we’re both people watchers/observers. I can sit for hours and watch people just live, or even when I’m out with my friends, after a while, I’ll sit back and just watch and listen, with not much to say. It’s not that I’m not interested in what’s going on, I just like…observing. The difference might be that I’m content doing that because I’m charmed by the life happening around me, while Emmy sometimes felt like she was missing out, and left on the outside looking in. Either way, we've both got some fly-on-the-wall tendancies.
At the same time, both Emmy and I get lost in our own thoughts and ideas. When I was searching for Emmy’s MBTI and read the first line for INFJ, for some reason Emmy during homecoming night came to mind; when her and Will are on the ride, and she has the idea for a tree of chandeliers. She’s got one night of freedom with a boy who she really likes and who really, really likes her…and she can’t help but think about future projects. Because that’s how inspiration works when you’re a creative person. It doesn’t matter what you’re doing, when it strikes, it consumes every thought. I can relate on that level. I felt so very seen in that scene. And I was especially swoony when she turned to tell Will her idea, and he was already looking at her, completely captivated by the look of wonderment and excitement at her idea that I imagine was on her face. That’s the dream. And it influences my willemmy greatly, because it tells me no matter what, Will is always going to support and be in awe of Emmy when she’s creating. Now that she’s got all the freedom to do that, it’s going to be a constant thing.
I believe I may have mentioned my MBTI type in the first MBTI post, but if I didn’t, I’m an INFP. However, all of my biggest influences in life have been TJs, so that does affect the way I go about doing things.
i just cant relate to her actions in general, but still find her caharcter fascinating and amusing to read about.
I mean… I wouldn’t make the same decisions as any of these characters. They and the situation they find themselves in are so over the top. That being said, even from a writer’s perspective, I would have taken the story and characters in different directions than PD. That might be one of the reasons I can’t bring myself to completely close the book on this, though. It’s so very different from what I would do, and sometimes it’s nice to be completely taken off the course you would naturally choose.
I knew of people who read nightfall and cried themselves to tears, but icant lie, i never experienced that. Onky through booktok and booktwt that i knew how many of them reacted very strongly to this book.
I get curious about people who had strong reactions as well. I assume it’s the moments of Emory’s abuse, but not to seem callous, they seemed very typical to me. I wasn’t ever overwhelmed with emotions reading any of the books. It’s not that I didn’t feel bad for what the characters were going through, because I did. I just… never needed to put the book down and process like I have with others.
i was Will, no matter what background or how privileged i have or was, cognitively, i dont think i would ever feel as comfortable as him to be putting blame on everyone and everything about my life without admitting my wrongs.
Will’s lack of accountability is definitely one of his main flaws throughout the series. It contrasts Kai’s crushing guilt over everything so well though. And I understand fully how people don’t feel sympathy for Will’s situation. He got himself there on his own. Even though Emmy signed that letter, he was long out of prison with a life set up for him that he nearly threw away just because he couldn’t not be Sad Boi #2 (of course, Damon gets first place because what else would we expect).
However, I loved high school Will and despite all common sense, will still feel for what happened to him, and those feelings have influenced my opinions on his story greatly. What can you do?
but i do lack sensitivity when it comes to things like this, so maybe that's why i never bought Will's bullshit, because what he said he did didnt match up with what he actually did. I'm sure his brothers grew up happy too, but they were never labelled as coddled or spoiled or irresponsible so there's only so mich of wealth and privilege that he can hide behind before it shows his true personality that he needed to fix.
It’s interesting that you bring up his brothers, because for me a big part of this series is that there’s something about this group people that doesn’t fit in with society as a whole, and that’s why they’re drawn together. The series speaks of the boys “finding” each other, as if they were searching for something they didn’t know they needed. I think Kai represents this the most because he tried so hard to hide it for so long. He also struggles with “its” existence, not because he doesn’t like it, but because he knows his parents won’t, and out of everyone, he respects them the most.
Anyway, all this is to say, Will’s brothers most likely don’t think or act like him. They don't hear the call of the void like he does. Unless my feelings about Thunder Bay are true, and there’s something in the water.
And while you may not be sensitive to some things, Will is, and it’s one of his main traits. Being sensitive also puts you at risk for getting hurt, which Will does frequently. Get hurt, I mean. But he still makes himself vulnerable, because that’s who he is. I think Will is aware that at some point, he can’t hide behind his privilege anymore. One of the reasons he went to Blackchurch – which was his idea from the start – was to put in the work where he’d only coasted before. Still, the whole thing was a mess after Emmy got there.
Maybe thats why his character annoys me very much. Maybe my opinion is also an outlier
Maybe out of the whole fandom, your opinion might be considered unpopular, but for those here, I think you’re right at home. More than a few have expressed the same thoughts. And isn’t that the point of fandom – to find people who will tolerate your wonky and out of the box opinions without trying to shame you?
Even though I sometimes act as though Will’s just a smol bean who never did anything wrong, I know he’s a highly flawed character with huge logical fallacies that annoy me to no end. Fangirling is a spectrum that I ride like a roller coaster.
As much as there's a lot of criticism about Will or even damon on your account KO (and even booktwt), we're actually the outlier, we're probably the only group who thought this way, because if you check goodreads and storygraph, there were more criticisms of Emmy than Will, and even Damon
I could not believe how much criticism was thrown at Emmy when I first read NF! And all of it because she was mean to Will? He was so nice blah, blah, blah, how could she not love him? Wah, wah, wah,
Helllllo? Did you not see what she was going through?
Did you not see the nine-year gap between them seeing each other; a gap neither did anything to close?
I just couldn’t process any of the Emory hatred. I’m better now. I don’t get it by any means. Let her be defensive; she’s earned her claws and fangs and anger. That’s for Will and Emmy to work out. He doesn’t need you, the reader, coming to his defenses. He still loves her because she’s so difficult -
*deep breath* But I’m better now. I was not at all surprised by how many people loved Will and Damon. And we all know why.
I heard when Nightfall was released, so many people were against Emmy in PD's FB group and goodreads, and they wished Will ended up with Alex, and at first i thought it was joke, but when i filter through Goodreads reviews to the oldest, wow, it's really true!
I saw the goodreads reviews, and thought I was going to be in the minority of Emmy lovers (hence my bio). But I’ve also heard the opposite – that there were a lot of people who hated it because PD included so much of Alex and not enough of Emmy. I think it’s probably split evenly. And then PD says it’s the fandom’s fault of putting the girls at odds with each other. Please just admit the story could have been written differently to avoid this, and we’ll all go home, I swear. PD doesn’t even have to say they would do it differently. I’ll be fine if they just admit that it’s not our fault there’s an Alex camp and an Emory camp, the two can’t cross enemy lines.
if we do a poll, Winter and Rika then and even now are still in the #1 and #2 spots everywhere.
This is so funny because while I believe it’s true, but any time I do a poll here, Emmy is always the winner/in the winning group. It’s especially true when I was playing the voting game. It didn’t seem to matter what group Emmy was in, that’s the one people wanted to be in.
Even stans on twitter believe that Will's only fault was he loved too much... like bad Will in corrupt, hideaway and kill switch didnt exist? idk, i thought this opinion of theirs on him was dumb, because it dismiss his characterisation of being more accountable and responsible in his present and future
Very true. If Will accepts that he made mistakes that were not just “I loved her too much” then…that’s what happened?
He messed up. He’s not a perfect and wholly good, sweet little angel boy that did not wrong but care too much. It’s okay to admit that he was immature and careless and blinded by privilege and pride (I’m not going to touch on the criminal things because as readers, we’re supposed to find those things cool and hot, so…).
It's okay to admit that his character changed! That’s what a character is supposed to do.
it's a fan space, anybody can think whatever they want. I just dont have to agree and engage with them.
Honestly, the best fandom rule you can have for yourself. I highly recommend it. And thank you for saying it.
a lot of things that people hate or were mad about nightfall (and theyre valid things to be mad about), i'm mostly indifferent about them.
Just... this whole paragraph. I was mad about the lack of Emmy when I finished NF. And I have my moments now, of course, when I’m thinking about something specific and putting pieces together that I might get upset about a realization or something. Realizing a character did something out of line, or seeing yet another plot hole…
But this has never ruined my day. I’ve never been unable to move on or talk about something else with my friends. It’s just interesting to me.
Anyway, willemmy will always be happy to me. That’s just how it is. We can go back and forth over whether Will "deserves" it but I just don't really care if he "deserves" it or not. I'm happier this way.
i just believe what i want to believe now and have fun with the books and the fandom. Even if i dont participate, i like to observe fans interactions... because you all are such passionate people, and it reminds me of why i love being in a fandom and being a fan of literature.
This is it! This is the reason being in fandom is so interesting. It’s a hobby, and it should just be a fun time to sit and chat about things that don’t really matter with people who also like the same things. I mean, I know hobbies have different levels of intensity, but this really should just be chill.
I also think of MBTI as more of a party game than anything else. It’s fun to sit around and ask those questions and discuss your results. It doesn’t really mean anything more than that.
I love discussions, so thank you KO for mobilising it here 😊 Thank you too for your fanfics that you wrote during your free time, and other things you came up with to make the fandom experience more fun and discursive here!
You’re so very welcome! But a bigger thank you goes to you and everyone else who has ever submitted an ask or message. Honestly, this blog would be nothing without them.

I'm sort of torn on Raven's "She saved us again"? It's like from a character standpoint, I get it. Their friend just "died", so of course they would elevate her. But it still sort of feels like the writers hitting me over the head with "Clarke is THE hero always". When the reality is that Raven has been the one to save their asses in basically every finale. I don't know, it just felt sort of eye-rolly and like JRoth's "Clarke single-handedly took down the mountain" during S2 hiatus.
Alright, Nonny. Let’s get down to business (to defeat….the Huns!).
The actual reality is that there has never been ONE hero in ANY season and no this isn’t me trying to downplay Raven to boost up Clarke because I “hate WOC”. Let me explain the Bravenlarke of it all:
We talk about the Core Four all the time, but in reality the actual core of our show rests on Bellamy, Clarke and Raven (Octavia is usually included in the Core Four, but for the most part her story is almost always separate from the main cast until the very end of the Season). Let’s begin our exploration with Season 1:
We know how the Season 1 finale ends, with the Delinquents closing the Dropship door and “blasting off”, but who actually made it happen? Lots of us would say Raven because, well…she is the genius, but when did the actual idea come into play?
Clarke: “It can’t be that simple. You said there’s fuel in those rockets, right?”
Raven: “Enough to build 100 bombs. I also said we’ve got no gunpowder left.”
Clarke: “I don’t want to build a bomb. I want to blast off.”
Raven: “Draw them in close. Fire the rockets. A ring of fire.”
Bellamy: “Barbecued grounders. I like it.”
Finn: “Will it work?”
Raven: “The wiring’s a mess down there, but yeah. You give me enough time, I’ll cook them real good.”Clarke has the idea. If she’d never had the idea would they ever have been able to stop the Grounders?
Bellamy runs the physical side of things as the leader of the gunners to get Raven the time she needs to wire up the Dropship.
Raven implements the idea by walking Clarke through the steps (because she is too wounded to do it herself). Jasper does have to complete the job because Raven has passed out, but Raven does most of the setup.
The Season 1 finale was a 3 part save. It’s not Raven who saves their asses, it’s all three of them.
On to Season 2:
The plan to take down the Mountain once again utilized Bravenlarke (with some Monty actually). This might have been harder to recognize because it happened over the course of several episodes. The plan goes into action in 2x09 when Clarke reverses her original refusal to let Bellamy go into the Mountain and decides “It’s worth the risk”, although at the time, we don’t see it that way:
Bellamy: “We need to do this now. You’ve got the alliance. Now is the time to use it.”
Clarke: “First, we need an inside man. You were right. Without someone on the inside to lower their defenses, turn off the acid fog, an army is useless. You should go.”
Bellamy: “I thought you hated that plan, that I would get myself killed.”
Clarke: “I was being weak. It’s worth the risk. My map of Mount Weather. Find a way to get on that radio and talk to us. Good luck.”
The idea to shut down the Acid Fog is initially Clarke’s, but is accomplished with help from Raven(Wick) and Bellamy in 2x14:
Raven: “Wait. Corrosion. The protective oxide film would have to be restored in tanks this old. They’d need to be cleaned.”
Wick: “And neutralized. Bellamy, go to that subdirectory. See if there’s anything there that says “passivation."”
Bellamy: “Ok. I’m on it. Got it. Says, uh, "aqueous sodium hydroxide bath."”
Wick: “That’s a base. That’ll neutralize the acid. Select that.”
Bellamy: “It’s doing something.”
Raven: “You should be able to hear the pump.”
Bellamy: “I can hear them. Needle’s moving. pH is rising. It’s working. Passivation success.”
Raven and Wick: “Yes!”
As we know, the Mountain discovers the tampering and reverse the Passivation so Bellamy winds up having to blow up the acid, but the initial plan was Clarke’s idea, Bellamy doing the work, Raven(and Wick) walking Bellamy through implementing the idea.
In the end, the final save actually comes down to Bellamy, Clarke and Monty (because Raven is being harvested). I actually think Monty temporarily replacing Raven in the Season 2 finale is because they were originally going to develop Wicken in such a way that they needed the extra development that the harvesting scene gave them.
Clarke: “Monty, can you do it? Can you irradiate the level?”
Monty: “I can do it.”
A bit later:Clarke: “Why are you stopping?”
Monty: “Because I did it. All we have to do… is pull this. Hatches and vents will open, and the scrubbers reverse, pulling in outside air”
Bellamy: “He’s gonna blow the door. Clarke, we’re out of time.”
Bellamy: “My sister. My responsibility.”
Clarke: “I have to save them.”
Bellamy: “Together.”
So again, a 3 part save, not just Raven.
Clarke has the idea to irradiate the Mountain and pulls the lever.
Bellamy spends the Season as the inside man, disables the acid fog and helps pull the lever.
Monty implements the idea by setting up the Mountain for irradiation.
Let’s discuss Season 3:
The Season 3 save was, again, a Bravenlarke combo. Let’s break down why:
Clarke: “Good. Then we have time.”
Murphy: “What we don't have is a way down.”
Bellamy: “Time for what?”
Clarke: “An Ascension ceremony.”
Murphy: “Ascension? You just said Ontari wasn't an option. Besides, she's still chipped, and we no longer have an EMP.”
Clarke: “We're not putting the Flame in Ontari's head. We're putting it in mine.”
Bellamy: “Clarke, that thing killed Emerson in seconds, liquefied his brain.”
Clarke: “Emerson wasn't connected to a Nightblood.”
Pike: “Transfusion?”
Clarke: “Not exactly.”
Abby: “Connected like Mount Weather.”
Clarke: “Yes. Everything we need is in your med kit”
Abby:.”No. It's too dangerous, and there are too many variables.”
Clarke: “But no options.”
Then, after Clarke has taken the Flame:
Bellamy: “I believe you.”
Abby: “Do you even know what you're looking for?”
Clarke: “I'll know when I find it.”
Abby: “May we meet again.”
Clarke: “We will.”
Bellamy: “We'll keep you safe.”
And, in the City of Light:
It’s Raven who reveals the door to the kill switch and, when Clarke doesn’t open it immediately, paints her raven across it.
So once again, this is not just Raven at work
Clarke has the idea to take the Flame herself (and even the how-Mt. Weather blood recycling), and taking the Flame is how she knows she needs to take the Chip.
Bellamy leads the guard for Clarke’s physical form, giving her time to complete her mission, with Abby as the last line of defense.
Raven uses her ALIE super brain to read the code, discover that Clarke is inside the City of Light, where she is and that she needs help, then provides that help to her.
And we’re on to our latest Season, 4! And, as I’m sure you’ve picked up on the pattern, Bravenlarke is back at it again, we arrive in 4x12 to:
Bellamy: “Clarke, unless I am missing something, there is no other way for all of us to survive.”
Clarke: “What if there is?”
Skip forward to the Space Squad Seven (Plus Clarke) arriving on Science Island:
Raven: “But there’s no time to go back.”
Clarke: “We’re not going back. We’re going up.”
Murphy: “Ah, don’t look so surprised. It was all your idea to begin with.” (Speaking of Raven’s desire to commit suicide by space, however Clarke is still the person who has the idea to actually live on the Ring).
Raven: “Space? We don’t have enough fuel to get down.”
Harper: “Sounds like a 5-year problem to me.”
Raven: “You’re (said to Clarke) talking about the Ring.”
Bellamy: “Seems like a shame to let a good rocket go to waste.”
Raven: “How do we live?”
Clarke: “They left a water reclamator up there and we know that Go-Sci has an algae farm. We just get those two things up and running and we have food and water.”
Murphy: “Algae salads and recycle urine. Sign me up.”
Emori: “Better than dying.”
Murphy: “Yeah, you say that now.”
Raven: “All right. Slow down. Breathing’s important, too. What’s the plan for oxygen?”
Monty: “Based on what Murphy says about the Lighthouse Bunker, I’m guessing-make that praying-there’s an oxygenator there. We take it with us. You hook it up. Bob’s your uncle.”
Raven: “You’re an engineer, Monty. You do know there’s about a thousand things wrong with that plan, right?”
Monty: “Yes, and every one of them kills us. Of course, staying here will kill us, too, so-”
Bellamy: “Raven, we need you to get us off the ground before the death wave hits. What do you say? Can you do it?”
Raven: “What do I say? I say that death wave can kiss my ass.”
Clarke: “Good. It’s settled then. We’re going back to the Ark.”
Now we’re going to finish this bit of evidence up with 4x13, I’m not going to pull quotes on this one, because the finale should be fresh in our minds as it wasn’t even two weeks ago, I’m just going to do the wrap up:
Clarke has the idea to return to space and even figures out how they’ll supply themselves with food and water once they make it up there and makes sure that the uplink is ready for the rocket when they arrive.
Bellamy is responsible for inspiring the masses (Raven and Echo specifically this episode) and ultimately making the hard call and choosing to close the door on Clarke instead of waiting.
Raven uses her non-ALIE powered but still super brain to figure out how to turn a 2-seater into an 8-seater, run the flight check, pilot them to the ring and get them into the hanger bay.
So when Raven says “She saved us again.” She’s not wrong. If Clarke had not had the idea to go to Space in the first place, everyone except for her would have died. If she hadn’t chosen to make the sacrifice and stay behind, physically moving that satellite dish to make sure the Ark was up, the ones who did manage to make it into space would have died.
Consistently, every Season, the finale save has always been a combination of Head (Clarke), Heart (Bellamy) and Guts (Raven) saving the day, but so many of y’all would rather look at it as Clarke being elevated, or a fandom being racist against a WOC (Raven), or (if you’re a Br/ven) the Bellarke fandom being unable to accept Br/ven as a romantic pairing without putting Clarke in it as well, when Bravenlarke is truly a platonic ship, lmao.
I’d bet you anything that in Season 5, Bravenlarke team work is once again what saves the day (even though 6 years and space has changed their relationship).

T100 is a dark show but I feel Jason is so focused on trying to shook the audience that he's forgetting the biggest strength of this show, the main characters and love. Don't you think so? What's the point to make Jasper's death so dramatic if it's not going to affect his friends at all? and Clarke wanted to save them but she hasn't connected with them since the last interactions of s2. It's a kind of mess imo. I wish they'd start writing consistent relationships and plots about fighting to live
I don’t entirely agree with this, nonny.
I don’t think that Jason has at all forgotten what the heart of the story is and if anything should be an indication of that it should be Praimfaya, of all episodes, one of the two Jason wrote this season. It focused basically exclusively on our delinquents heading to space, and then very briefly on Octavia (also a delinquent, I might add). THAT’S the heart of the show. That relationship among the delinquents, those characters we’ve grown to love? That’s always been the endgame Jason has been striving for season after season.
Which means that they can’t be together all the time. And, yes, they have to go on individual journeys, and struggle, and that’s the point. Because they are stronger together. But our characters can’t be strong all the time, they can’t always be with the people who complete them, who make them a perfect unit.
Why not, you ask? Because if they were always with those people, they would never grow. If they have everything they need, they would never learn to evolve on their own.
It’s the same idea with separating Bellarke so that Bellamy can develop his head-side without Clarke, and Clarke can develop her heart-side without Bellamy. They can’t be interdependent all the time, because the truth of the matter is that in the universe of The 100, there’s never a guarantee that they’ll have that person at their side. People die, they leave (something we’re a little too familiar with in the Bellarke fandom after 2x16 …).
Then what?
Then, our characters grow. On their own. And once they’ve gone through their individual journey, they come together and they kick even more ass than before.
That’s kind of how it goes every season isn’t it? (With the exception of perhaps Season 1 where the sets and the budget was smaller, and they were introducing all the main characters/plot/relationships so it made sense to keep everyone so shuttered in together for the majority of the season.) Our characters work together for parts of the season, then they split up to go on their individual journeys, and then they come together again in the finale and kick ass as a team.
In Season 2, it started with all our characters separated, working to get to each other. They reunited in the first half of the season, created a battle strategy, and then separated to go through their own character journeys. Bellamy embarked into Mount Weather on his redemption arc to save his friends (simplifying the depth of his arc, obviously, but that’s not the point of this post). Clarke fell into her downward spiral as she took advice from L.exa. Jasper had to learn to become a leader in his own right. Raven struggled to come to terms with her new disability and pain. Octavia started training with Indra as a warrior. Murphy was off on his adventure with Jaha.
… See the trend?
Our heroes were all working together towards a common goal - defeat the Mountain (Murphy excluded) - but they were also struggling within themselves. It makes for interesting TV.
And then what happens in the Season 2 finale? They all end up in Mount Weather, working with and alongside each other using the lessons they’ve learned over the course of the season, in order to save their people.
What were huge themes of Season 2? Finding their family again - lots of reunions. The fight to see their friends/family again, to save them. What happens when you push away the people you love …
Because those themes: found family, love, and the things people will do to keep those things alive … THAT’S the heart of the show. And it hasn’t changed.
Then in Season 3, we spend the first half of the season with everyone isolated and struggling with their inner demons. Clarke struggling to face her people, Bellamy struggling to save them at whatever cost, Raven struggling with her pain, Jasper struggling with his PTSD, Monty struggling with stifling his own trauma while holding up his own family (Hannah and Jasper), Murphy struggling to survive on his own (like always … until Emori comes along), Octavia struggling to find her place in the world (struggling with Lincoln, with Bellamy, with Indra) and NONE of them sharing any of these things (for the most part) with each other.
And, yes, it was dark. And depressing and heavy and disheartening to watch sometimes. But that was the POINT. Season 2 was the descent into hell. 3A was hell itself, and 3B and Season 4 was our heroes rising from the ashes.
And sure enough, our main delinquents reunited in 4x11 and for the last six episodes of the season, it was all about them working together, piecing themselves back together, working towards a common goal as a team. In 3x16, we had Clarke going into the City of Light with Monty and Raven, Harper, etc working from Arkadia to help make it possible while Bellamy and Octavia kept her alive from the outside. It was a group effort. It involved all three elements for them to succeed in defeating ALIE.
What was a huge theme of Season 3? To put it simply, “together”. It was about showing our heroes and how they fall apart when they isolate themselves, and how they are stronger when they come together.
That’s always been the theme of the show, and - contrary to what many believe - the writers didn’t just drop that theme in Season 3. They took a dark approach to it, revealed an extremely grim perspective on the human condition, what happens to us when we fall down and there is no one there to pick us up, and people didn’t like that. But it doesn’t change the fact that the endpoint they were always building up to was our mains working together, stronger than before, in the end of the season.
Same thing in Season 4: they started off working together, they split up for awhile in the middle to embark on their own character arcs, and finally came together in the final few episodes to survive - together.
I think that ever since 3A, people have been stuck in this mindset that - just because they separated our favs from each other - that the writers don’t know what they’re doing. That they’re forgetting their own story, that they don’t realize what their fans want to see.
What I have to say to that is this: you listen to the anti’s too much. That is not the story the writers are telling. It never has been, and anyone who is ACTUALLY convinced that the writers are way up L.exa’s ass haven’t been paying attention. Appearing as a guest star in sixteen episodes does NOT make a show. And if it did, ADC would have been signed on as a regular before FTWD jumped.
I have no doubt Jason is well aware of where the heart of the show is and if anything is an indication of that, it is the finales he has written every single season. Each one consistently focusing on our delinquents working together to save the world. THAT’S the story he is telling. And I feel like a broken record, but I really can’t express this enough.
What’s the point to make Jasper’s death so dramatic if it’s not going to affect his friends at all?
I’m not going to argue with you about Jasper’s death because Jasper’s character arc is such a disappointment to me and I wish (oh god DO I WISH) it was handled in a way better way. I wish he had chosen to live, I wish Season 4 wasn’t just some long drawn out death sentence for him carried out from the Season 3 finale. I wish Jason could have thought of a better way for his character to continue to exist on the show, but that didn’t happen. And it sucks. And Jasper was my second favourite character (after Bellamy, loml) and I’m upset about it. And he was such good PTSD rep and they could have done amazing things with him.
I really feel like Jason had his mind set on killing Jasper in Season 3 but decided that would be too much, but never actually planned out another character arc for Jasper to have where he chooses to live instead. In his mind, Jasper’s story was over before Season 4 even began. Sometimes that happens with writers. They write themselves into a dead-end or they can’t think of another story that works for a character so instead of choosing the storyline where Jasper decides to live, he chose the alternate - darker - one where Jasper doesn’t recover from his trauma … and his story ends in tragedy.
It’s not the story I would have told, and I wish the way the characters on these shows responded to suicide was something other than saying, “you’re a coward”, but I’m not one for censoring what stories other artists choose to tell. They chose to write the dark one. Really, all that I can do is be sad and bitter and wish that the writers decided on a different character arc.
But they didn’t.
That still doesn’t mean that the writers have lost sight of what this story is about, though.
It’s still about the delinquents. It’s still about the theme of “together”. It’s still about life and hope and, yes, some of our characters die along the way or lose their path but - ultimately - in the end, this story is about family.
We don’t know for certain that Jasper has been forgotten, that he won’t be remembered. There are still those flashbacks Jason promised, and they always do callbacks to previous seasons. Yes, I wish we got more of a reaction out of characters like Clarke and Raven (grrr… still bitter over what could have been) and OCTAVIA, but I chalk that all down to being another problem to pile on top of all the other issues with Season 4 that could have been resolved with three extra episodes.
The writers took on too much in one season and they didn’t have enough episodes to tell it properly. Pacing was an issue, and a lot of things got cut or weren’t fleshed out as much as I would have liked because of it - including the response to Jasper’s death.
The writers just didn’t allocate themselves enough time for those emotional beats… and it’s annoying, but there’s really nothing that can be done about it at this point.
I find that most of the problems with storytelling on this show have much less to do with the actual story itself, and more to do with the pacing. This particular instance is no exception.
Clarke wanted to save them but she hasn’t connected with them since the last interactions of s2.
Clarke has pretty much always been kind of distant from most of her friends, with the exception of pretty much only Bellamy. I mean, hell, she even started the show in isolation. This has always been her struggle. Valuing her head over her heart (and sometimes sacrificing her relationships in the process). I thought that the way we ended Season 4, with Clarke waiting every day to reunite with her friends, never giving up hope … that bodes very well for that long-drawn out arc of Clarke holding herself apart from her friends to finally reach some sort of resolution. I’m very excited for where her arc is going next season, and I think the writers are well aware of Clarke’s tendency to isolate herself.
It’s being addressed.
I wish they’d start writing consistent relationships and plots about fighting to live
Sorry, disagree. They’re already writing those things.
This show has consistently been about our characters’ fight for survival. Isn’t that basically the premise of the show? Fighting to live? Say what you want about everything else about the show, but I’ve always felt that part was pretty consistent.
As for consistent relationships … I think most of the relationships we’re invested in HAVE been consistent. They spend time developing the relationships that are most important to the audience. Like Bellamy and Clarke, Abby and Raven, Monty and Jasper (while it ends tragically), the Blakes (as dysfunctional as they are, I don’t feel like it’s really developed unnaturally for how their dynamic started off and evolved), Kane and Abby, Memori, etc, etc.
I must be reading the show differently than a lot of people because I feel that many are disappointed, thinking that the writers have lost sight of the show they first set out to be, but I disagree. The show has evolved, matured, and gotten more complex. Our characters have grown, they’re older, and they’ve changed. As a result, the relationships have too. But our core relationships on the show? Those have always been front and center, and our delinquents have always been the focus of each resolution to every season.
We haven’t lost that many of our main delinquents. Jasper and Finn - that’s basically it. Think how many Grounders we’ve lost? How many other characters who aren’t Sky People? Anya, L.exa, Roan, Ilian, Luna, Lincoln, Maya, etc … These characters - as much as we may love some of them - are supporting characters.
The delinquents are less expendable, and when you actually start cracking down on numbers, it shows that the writers don’t view them as being unimportant in the way that many “fans” would have you believe.
This is a way longer response than I intended on ever writing, so I’m just going to wrap it up here. I think my opinion has been expanded on more than enough.
