Eye of the Pheonix is actually one of the best merlin episodes because:
merlin and Gwen besties shenanigans; “what’s he actually thinking about” “you”
cold open to the most tender merthur scene
Merlin sleeping outside all knight for arthur
Hiccuping scene and arthur getting so annoyed
“But the perilous lands are… perilous”
“The task is meant to be completed alone and unaided” the start of the best continuing joke of all time
Putting the rest under a cut cause it’s long
Little morgwen moment in the market i love (one of the last we get….)
Cute arthur and gwen scene! Hehe
This is just the shipping episode of all time everyone wins
“You’ll need help” and the first thing merlin does is go find gwaine
smiles “hello, gwaine” “ah, merlin :)”
Immediately puts an arm around merlin
Throws merlin off a roof. this is what merwaine is all about :)
Gwaine is still Gwaine and not whatever the writers did to him after becoming a knight
Bridge guy (Grettir) is great and Arthur’s “no I’m prince arthur of camelot” i love you you’re so dense sometimes
“You need strength and magic” and then gwaine and merlin come along and NO ONE seems to think two seconds more about the implications
“ive been to almost every tavern” “so have i” you’re telling me merlin spent all that time looking for specifically gwaine to help him when he knows arthur is in danger
ANOTHER MORGWEN SCENE (ik morgana just wants her to leave) but we weren’t completely robbed
Arthur not realizing that he feels like shit and thinking hmm that’s weird, this is THE dense, damsel in distress arthur episode
Gwaine is two feet away are you really telling me he didn’t hear bridge guy call merlin Magic
“Strength has arrived the trio is complete” immeidate sword draw
But also the establishment of them as a trio i really love and they never did anything else with it
Gwaine with the flowers :))
THE ENTIREY OF THE FIRE SCENE
*THE* MERWAINE SCENE EVER
“a pheasant” gwaine please
“Why do you want to do this?” cause he’s in love with you merlin
“Same reason as you” (hesitates) (eye contact) “help a friend”
“arthurs lucky to have us”
“not arthur” SCREAMING
we’re back to the fond looks
gwaines tiny nod of assurance when merlin looks at him like ??! after he says not arthur
“youre the only friend i have” and i couldnt bear to lose you
Gwen finding out morgana has magic
“she’s changed” break my heart why don’t you (i dont want you to change) BRING HER BACKKK this is making me miss the arc morgana could have had so badly
They caught up to arthur SO FAST goes to show how arthurs going through it
Not wyvern they have four legs actually (tho their designs are cool)
This would have been such a good episode for gwaine to learn merlin is a dragonlord & has magic
Arthur conveniently is knocked out (as always) when merlin does cool magic stuff to save him
When merlin orders them to go and they bow their heads and walk away they look like kicked puppies
The famous arthur waking up to merlins silly little smile and being 100% not appreciative
whatthehellareYOUdoinghere? why can’t you ever just say thanks? augh THANKS!whatforcompLeTlYrUiNiNgThEqUeSt?!
i am supposed to be doing this ALONEEEE
“Are gwen and morgana here too? we going to have a surprise party?” i love you sassy arthur and yes you absolutely should have a surprise party
Do you want us to help you or do you want to do this ~aloneeee~
MERLIN!
The little smile and nod like yeah they got him
“this is a quest merlin not a treasure hunt” well it is sort of- “MERLIN.”
How is that one stone completely sound proof
The cockroaches are icky but y’all have gloves its not that bad you couldn’t even feel them
Set up with the water of avalon and something that actually follows into later episodes
“Merlin.” + arthur doesn’t want to show he actually cares about him vs. gwaine pulling him into a hug
“look what i found” merlin and gwaine shared looks of no you didn’t
The trios conversation at the end i love their dynamics + merlins pause and genuine thanks
Eoin macken looking pretty <33 (he always does)
Merlins little overview of the quest hes so excited awww
Immediate shift to sassy merlin the Duality
I wish Gwen knowing about morgana’s magic would have been explored more i want to see her join gaius and merlin in plotting and going on little quests
Anyways yeah to conclude i miss Gwaine sm :(

Hello everyone! I'm back with another Merlin au! This time featuring a role reversal and Merlin getting yet another job that he never wanted! Enjoy! :D
EDIT: You can find part 2 of this au here!
This au takes places during the season four finale, when Arthur gives up on being king and tells Merlin that Camelot will have to find itself another king if they defeat Morgana, since Arthur no longer feels worthy of being king.
So, Merlin leads him to Excalibur and helps him draw the sword from the stone in front of the people of Camelot, successfully convincing Arthur to believe in himself and his place as a good leader.
That night though, after Arthur confided in Merlin about his worries of Morgana's magic being too powerful for them to fight, Merlin sneaks back into the castle in dosguise as Dragoon and plants the curse that will strip Morgana of her powers the next day. However, he gets caught in the act by Morgana, who of course immediately starts attacking her sworn enemy.
Merlin is put on the defensive, putting all of his efforts into shielding himself from Morgana's attacks and fending off Helios and his fighters at the same time. After a few minutes, his spell that disguises him as Dragoon fades, as all of his magical strength is poured into his fight against Morgana.
Merlin can see the exact moment that Morgana's eyes widened with shock, and it's then that he realizes what had just happened: Morgana knew exactly who he was now.
After the moment of shocked silence passed, Morgana started cackling, finding the situation hilarious. She taunts Merlin, asking if Arthur knows what he is. Upon seeing Merlin wince, Morgana offers him a deal: join her side and help eliminate Arthur, or he can burn in the courtyard like so many of their magical bretheren. Morgana sneers at him that he'd better accept her deal, as he'd burn on a pyre at Arthur's hand even if Merlin kept fighting at his side.
Merlin, predictably, rejects her offer and continues his attack, rebuking Morgana for her cruelty and violence. At this point, their fight had migrated all the way out into the courtyard, which gave them more space to use more destructive spells against each other.
Morgana hurled fireballs at Merlin, and he responded by throwing blinding arcs of lightning at her. Morgana managed to barely sheild herself against the attack, but Helios and his men weren't as lucky and were blasted away in the attack, all of them fatally wounded.
Seeing that her backup was now gone, Morgana redoubled her attacks, franticly throwing spell after spell at her prophesied killer. As Merlin desperately shielded himself, he had an idea. The very thought of it caused guilt to well up in his throat, but he saw no other way to survive.
As Morgana renewed her constant barrage of spells, Merlin didn't defend himself with a shielding spell. Instead, he powered all of his already diminished power into a redirection spell, attempting to throw Morgana's spells back at her.
Sure enough, as soon as Morgana's spells collided with Merlin's redirection spell, they were launched right back at Morgana, who didn't have enough time to dodge or shield herself from the blast.
Morgana's own spells hit her with all of the killing intent that she had aimed at her mortal enemy, and her spells accomplished their goal: killing their target.
Merlin both shocked and horrified as he looked down at Morgana's body, as he didn't intend to kill her, only subdue her so that she could stand trail and face Arthur's justice. However, it seemed like Morgana's own murderous fury had been too strong for even herself, ultimately bringing about her demise.
As Merlin silently held onto Morgana's fallen body, just as he did on that fateful day when he poisoned her and pushed her into Morgause's clutches, he saw the run begin to rise over the castle. He quickly jolted up at the sight, his heart leaping with panic, since he needed to be back in Arthur's camp in the woods before anyone noticed that he was gone!
Merlin ran out of the castle, quickly finding his way back to Arthur's camp, and planning out what he was going to say to hopefully explain his absence. Maybe picking medicinal herbs in preparation to help anyone wounded during the upcoming battle? That would work!
But... there wasn't going to be a battle, since all of their enemies were now lying dead in the castle's courtyard, unknown to all of the fighters preparing to give their lives to retake their home. Shit, everyone would start looking for answers the moment they set foot in the castle, how was Merlin supposed to throw them off his trail?!
Merlin was so preoccupied with these thoughts swirling around his head as he ran back to the hidden camp that he didn't notice the many eyes peering at him from a certain window in the castle, with the men inside having seen everything that had just transpired.
(When Morgana had taken over the castle, she had locked all of the lords and older knights on Arthur's council in an old meeting room, planning to execute them later. She didn't plan to rule with some useless council to hold her back after all!
It was truly an unfortunate coincidence for Merlin that the particular room that Morgana had locked them in had a perfect view of the courtyard below and the unexpected battle that took place on it that night.)
Merlin, luckily, managed to make it back to the camp just as Arthur was waking up, and no one else seemed to have noticed that he was missing that morning, too preoccupied by preparations for the upcoming battle. Merlin breathed a sigh of relief when no one commented on him being gone. Maybe this would actually go smoothly!
That morning, Arthur gave a rousing and inspiring speech to his people, ready to lead them into battle. With the light shining on him and Excalibur by his side, his people ready to follow him to the ends of the earth, Arthur looked every bit the king Merlin imagined he could be. Looking at Arthur, King Arthur, Merlin's heart swelled with pride and hope. And if he had to blink some tears from his eyes, then no one commented on it.
Still, the fact that Arthur was leading them into a battle that was already won had Merlin shifting his feet with nervousness. How would Arthur react? Would anyone discover that Merlin was behind Morgana's defeat? Would they question their unexpected boon, or would they simply accept it with relief?
Merlin's anxiety heightened with each step the army took towards Camelot. While the army, along with Tristan and Isolde, were going to try to storm the castle from the main entrance (which Merlin knew would be easier than anticipated, since Morgana's army was dead), a smaller group comprised of Arthur, Merlin, Gwen, Percival, and Leon were sent through the underground tunnels to launch a sneak attack on Morgana.
Merlin just put on a stoic face and nodded as Arthur outlined the plan, still trying to figure out how he could avoid suspicion after the army of Camelot realizes that Morgana and her army were already defeated.
Their small group easily makes to through the tunnels, which puts Arthur more on edge, as Merlin can see that he thinks that it's almost too easy, like they're walking into a trap. Merlin wished that he could allay Arthur's fears, but he couldn't at the moment, not without revealing that he knows too much.
When they reached the dungeons, Leon and Percival separated from them to go free Gwaine, Elyan, Gaius, and the other prisoners held down there. Meanwhile, Arthur, Merlin, and Gwen headed for the throne room, with two of them tense and ready for a fight against a formidable sorceress, and one of them tense under the weight of his own secrets.
When Arthur burst open the doors to the throne room, adrenaline rushing and ready for a fight to the death, he was ready to see his sister on his throne, mocking and tormenting him. Instead, to his shock, he found his entire council inside, alive and well and loudly squabbling amongst themselves.
Upon hearing the doors to the throne room crash open, they all froze and grew silent, turning to look at who was there. They all relaxed upon seeing Arthur, but tensed when they saw who was standing right behind him.
"I'm glad to see that all of you are unharmed, but what are you all doing here? Where is Morgana! We must defeat her at once!"
The lords' eyes grew wide as they started murmuring amongst each other in sharp tones. Finally, Geoffrey was pushed forward, seemingly appointed as the voice of the group.
"Welcome back, my lord. It is truly a blessing to see you back unharmed. However, we do bring troubling news to you. It is with a heavy heart that we inform you of these changes."
Geoffrey trailed off from there, his face grim. He seemed reluctant to say anything further, much to Arthur's frustration and horror.
"What do you mean news? What has happened? What has Morgana done?!"
Geoffrey sighed, looking every bit of his numerous years. After another tense moment of silence, Geoffrey spoke again.
"Sire, we wish to inform you that Morgana Pendragon is dead. She was killed in a battle in the early hours this morning. Her body still lies where she met her demise in the courtyard."
While Merlin grew pale and tensed even more, both Arthur and Gwen stumbled backwards with shock at Geoffrey's words, the breath knocked out of them both by the unbelievable news.
"What- How did this happen?! Who could have... how is that even possible?!"
"We," Geoffrey replied as he gestured to all of the lords and council members standing around him, "witnessed all of it from a room overlooking the courtyard. It was an unbelievable sight, one that I myself might not believe if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes. A lone sorcerer called lightning down on all of Morgana's soldiers, killing them in an instant. He then proceeded to battle Morgana to the death in a duel of magic. He managed to defeat her before leaving the citadel in a hurry."
Arthur stood, frozen, as Geoffrey's words swirled around his head, almost comprehendible. Many conflicting feelings- relief, grief, shock, horror- welled up in his chest, almost choking him with their strength. He was paralyzed as he grieved his sister, celebrated his kingdom's safety from her wrath, and feared this new, more powerful sorcerer who had single-handedly defeated his sister, the most power magic user Camelot had ever seen.
Merlin, meanwhile, stood completely still, his heart beating as fast as a rabbit on the run from a wolf. They saw him, they all did. But it was dark, so maybe they didn't recognize him? Merlin hoped with everything he had that they hadn't recognized him during the battle.
Grimacing again, Geoffrey cleared his throat, apparently having more to say. Merlin's heart leapt with terror as Geoffrey opened his mouth once more.
"Sire, it is with great remorse that I must inform you of this, but there is more news. As is law, Morgana took the throne through right of conquest, as your father did in his time. Morgana was, in the time she ruled Camelot with her forces, the rightful ruler in the eyes of the law.
However, this sorcerer defeated the the ruler of Camelot and conquered her entire army. By the laws of Camelot and by the right of conquest, he is the rightful king of Camelot. Therefore, unfortunately, unless you formally challenge him for the throne and win, we cannot reinstate you as king at this time."
If it was possible, Merlin became even paler at those words, feeling woozy and sick to his stomach. Had he just sabotaged his own efforts?! He did all of this to keep Arthur as king, not undermine him!
Gwen gave a loud gasp, a look of horror on her face, while Arthur's jaw clenched in anger and frustration.
"This is preposterous! Whoever that sorcerer is, he fled! He cannot become king, nor can I challenge him, if he isn't even here!"
Merlin took a staggered step back as Geoffrey's eyes landed on him. He had the grasp at the pillar next to him for support under the old librarian's gaze. He knew.
"The sorcerer did leave after his battle with Morgana, as I said earlier, but I'm afraid that he is here right now, sire."
Merlin felt like he was about to faint. Oh gods, was he about to throw up?
Arthur's entire body jolted to attention, his grip tightening on the sword as he registered Geoffrey's words. He forced one strained word passed his clenched jaw.
"Where?"
Geoffrey motioned one of the other lords on the council forward, and he stepped forward with the coronation crown and royal seal resting on a pillow.
"The council and all of Camelot's vassal lords feel that it is in Camelot's best interest to acknowledge and formalize the sorcerer's claim to the throne at this time, as we are yet unaware of his true power or the danger he poses should he decide to attack. We unanimously agree that it would be best to not give him any reason to retaliate against Camelot, as we fear he might if we do not acknowledge his rightful conquest."
Arthur's face fell, his expression ashen and devastated. His own council had turned against him? They had chosen this unknown and potentially dangerous sorcerer to place the lives of his people in?
Arthur, Gwen, and Merlin were all frozen with shock and dread, looking on in horror as Geoffrey took the coronation crown and royal seal from their cushion and stepped forward, approaching the paralyzed trio.
"It is with a heavy heart that we crown the new king of Camelot, ascended through the right of conquest over Morgana Pendragon."
Geoffrey moved past Arthur, looking at first like he was heading for the door behind them, but Merlin knew who he was actually walking towards. Merlin flinched backwards, trying to get away from Geoffrey and the crown he was carrying, but he was stopped by the hard stone wall behind his back.
"We, the council and lords of Camelot, do declare our fealty to the slayer of Morgana, the prophesized sorcerer known as Emrys, King Merlin!"
Geoffrey punctuated his announcement by placing the crown on a very pale Merlin's head, much to the horror of Arthur and Gwen.
And it was at that moment that Merlin did faint.
That's all from this au for now! Let me know what you think of it and if you'd like a continuation of this au! Until next time!
And, as always, thank you for reading through my ramblings! :D

Love your fics!
Charmed please? Or pjo? ❤️❤️
Part 1 2 3 4
Paige watches Chris flick through the their book of shadows - literally flick, going through pages with mere twitches of his fingers without touching the pages, the action speaking of years of practice. He must have gone though his own book of shadows like this. She wonders if he's done the same to theirs whenever they weren't looking.
He's pissed at them - her - for figuring him out, that they know he's a whitelighter by blood rather than death. That they they know he's half witch, just like her.
Despite that, there's an ease to him now, some of the tension that constantly hung in the air around him now gone and something settled taking its place. She'd like to say it's because the truth is out, even if he's mad about it, but she thinks it has more to do with the sword that refuses to leave his hip.
Chris is a king. Their king, even. Everyone's king, once and future, prophesized to unite the world in peace and harmony.
Born to the world when he's needed most, which is a thought just as uncomfortable as the idea that the neurotic twenty three year old constantly harassing them over consequences is a monarch. What could go so wrong that the world would bring forth King Arthur to save it?
"It's not like I'm going to steal it," Chris says, irritated. "You don't have to watch me."
A king, Paige repeats to herself incredulously. "You can't steal something that belongs to you."
His head snaps up, eyes wide. "What?"
She gestures to Excalibur. "It's clearly yours. I don't know why you're so determined to get rid of it."
He ducks his head down, focusing once more on the book of shadows. "I haven't been born yet. It doesn't belong to me."
"Well, why don't you just put it where you got it from the last time?" she asks, then tilts her head from the side. "Was it from Wyatt? Since he's your Merlin, or whatever."
Chris's lips pull back, maybe into the start of a smile but she'd put money on it being a sneer before his lips flatten out into a tight line. "It's not getting it where it's supposed to be. It's getting it to stay there. Putting the stone somewhere else doesn't do any good until I can get it to stay in the stone."
Pagie rests her chin on her arms. Piper and Phoebe are all bent out of shape about the lying and the secrets and whatnot, but Paige is more interested in what else they've been missing if they didn't notice that their whitelighter was a witch and a king. "Do you get a crown?"
He pauses, looking up to blink at her. "What?"
"Since you're king," she says, then adds, "I've always thought I'd look good in a crown."
This time she does a get smile. "If anyone ever gives me one, you can have it."
"Score," she says and feels a little thrill of accomplishment that Chris's smile lingers even as he returns his attention to the book.

Arthur isn’t exactly stealthy when he sees something he likes.
Those who had known Arthur for most of his life also know that when something captures his attention, that’s it.
It takes over everything.
First, at five, it was horse back riding. He would spend all day in the stables, learning everything he could about the majestic beasts. He would ride as often as his father allowed.
Then when he joined the official knights in training at eight summers, he became thirsty for success. He wanted to be the best, unbeatable.
And so, he was. He became a well sharpened blade neatly tucked into his father’s arsenal.
Nothing came close to his love for a sword until he was thirteen, and he met a girl named Druella. Dru was the younger sister of one of Arthur’s fellow knights, yet still a few years ahead of him.
He would watch her walk to and from town, every day, thinking how beautiful she looked in her finery, how her hair was always perfect, never one out of place.
This love lasted the least amount of time, because while Arthur claimed to himself that he loved her, he’d never actually spoken to her.
When he finally got up the nerve to introduce himself, and she did nothing but sneer at him and walk away, he finally let his silly little crush rest in the dirt under his riding boots.
Years went by. The citizens of Camelot and especially the staff of the castle, continued to watch Arthur grow and mature and come into his own thoughts. His own beliefs.
Still, dancing with his sword held the biggest place in his heart.
That was until a fateful day in beautiful spring time.
There were some familiar faces in the square that day, watching on as a boy intervened with the Prince’s ridiculous bullying.
First, they were thankful for it.
And then they all witnessed the moment Prince Arthur laid eyes on this boy, and that was it.
They’d seen it before, and this was no different.
Arthur Pendragon had found a new obsession.
Uther didn’t know what he was signing the entire kingdom up for when he bestowed Merlin with such a privilege as being the prince’s manservant. He probably thought nothing on it, as often as Arthur fired manservants, surely this one will be gone faster than the others.
Boy, was he mistaken.
Arthur lied to himself about it for some time. Acting as if his servant was the worst he’d ever seen, or how he hated to have to show this boy how to do something simple.
What betrayed him were his eyes, they followed Merlin everywhere in the room. Watching him do every task, standing to aid when it was needed, even if it came with a huff of exasperation for show.
Everyone could see it. Hell, even Leon caught onto it. The only people who had yet to realize were the prince himself, and the boy. Merlin. He was as oblivious to Arthur’s eyes as Arthur was to Merlin’s sickeningly sweet face when the prince’s back was turned.
Merlin was usually very observant.
But when it came to Arthur, he had a blind spot.
Perhaps this is why Arthur found out the big secret a few weeks after Merlin arrived in Camelot.
He’d made a habit of entering his room quietly, so he might see Merlin without being seen himself. Though, Arthur doesn’t acknowledge that’s the reason, it definitely is.
This particular day, practice ended early on account of the storm rolling in. Tiny drops of water were already covering the ground, packing the dirt into stone.
As he silently entered his own chambers, he heard humming. Knowing it must be Merlin. Who else would be in his room humming?
The Prince stayed partially hidden by the chest of drawers nearest the door. Merlin was putting tunics away in the cupboard. His hands were gentle with them, like they were precious. Even if he did it in a bit of a hurry, seemingly.
Merlin must’ve felt a draft or remembered the rain, because he stopped his humming turning to the fire place, and without lifting a single finger or uttering a word, he lights the fire.
By looking at it.
Arthur first thought his sight deceived him but there was no denying that he’d just seen Merlin’s eyes turn gold. A blinding golden light that can only come from something divine.
The Prince tries to even out his breathing so as not to give away his presence. It’s not that he’s fearful, merely caught off guard, which he tried never to be. Arthur was almost a grown man, and he’d met people in his time that told him he could be different than Uther. He could rule a different Kingdom.
And maybe that all starts with this strange boy that fell from the sky into Arthur’s world.
The Prince had hardly seen Merlin do anything with that kind of skill or confidence. Arthur had been around enough dark sorcerers to know that even the powerful ones need words, crystals, a big book with lots of words he can’t read.
Merlin had done this like it was nothing.
Just how powerful was he?

Lady Celestine: Navigator of the Constellations:
The Forgotten Hero of Yore
The Merlyn of the KBASW (AU) & the love of Arthur's life.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Just to be clear Merlyn & Celestine are the same person it's just her disguise when she goes out.
For: @kirbyoctournament
Character Overview/Personality: She's the combination of Merlin from Disney's Sword & the Stone, Queen Eclipsa from SVTFW, Willy Wonka from (Wonka 2023 ), and Merlin from (the 2008 TV series).
She's an optimist... many of her peers mistake it for being naivety but in reality she's well aware of the darkness in the world... she sees it every day with her powers. Since seeing so many terrible things in the future she treasures the present and is always grateful for the things she enjoys in the now. (Also there's another reason for this....)
And finds the joy in the darkest of times...
She likes to be overly prepared... And tend to keep (*hoard) things they might need... Often tends to hold things she doesn't really need. With Arthus side eying her "You really need to keep that."
"Don't look at me like that Wart... WE MAY NEED THIS HARPOON ONE DAY WHO KNOWS & YOU'LL THANK ME LATER !" *proceeds to carry bloody harpoon home... with Arthur facepalming himself*
They actually did end up using that harpoon 3 months later & Celestine rubbed it in Arthur's face for an entire week. This constant hoarding led her to the first iteration of the Dimensional Cape, which started as a dimensional bag to store all her stuff. (LMAO).
This brings me to Celestine's wisdom & sass: similar to Merlin (the series & Disney) is filled with cleverness & comebacks. When she's doing her diplomatic work and out and about she knows how to do it "gracefully."But when she transforms into Merlyn, she lets loose exactly how Merlin is when he becomes Dragoon. Has no filter and becomes a chaotic old man throwing shade left & right
She hates' cursing so as resulting in hilarious, nonsensical words to place them: Fiddle sticks, biscuits, sweet butter crumpets, etc ~
Her future sight has made her a very empathic person... knowing the suffering of others in her visions. Creating a very kind, caring individual who wants the best for everyone, for them to be happy.
Keep reading for extra content & lore: (Which include spoilers for KBASW so tread carefully!) Other than that please continue...
Lore related content: (If you just want a short read)
In Denial (Oldest lore)
What Kind of King's in My Blood (Background info)
Celestine is Merlyn: (Most Current lore)
And fair warning I low-key wrote a novel... but there's a special prize at the end if you read all of it. (Extended Lore)
Lady Celestine serves as a catalyst for the anime Kirby series...
Now Celestine can't predict the exact future... only show potential paths. But her powers can guide people to the outcome they want and the path that constantly changing.
Absolom made Celestine focus solely on her future vision and trained her personally... He tried to paint himself as this kind saintly father figure towards her... but in reality, wanted to monopolize her ability.
He tremendous amount of pressure on the poor girl...(Mother Gothel Style "Mother knows best) Believing the only thing that made her valuable was her future sight. And one more thing about Celestine... SHE HATED HER FUTURE VISION! She didn't just see the future... she experienced it! Feeling all the raw emotions of the scene.
However, Absolum would guilt-trip her: "Oh you don't want to let everyone down... you're the only one who can do this... you're so special... you can't disappoint everyone..:
Causing her to grit her teeth and bear with it... Absolum was like a father to her she couldn't say "No." Plus it's not like she could let them down... One day she had a terrible vision foreshadowing the demise of Shiver Star...
The people of Shiver Star were infected by Dark Matter's essence... Nightmare & his demons robbed them and stole all the planet's resources... while the people were possessed and had their life sources absorbed by Dark Matter.
Celestine immediately ran to the other Heroes of Yore & Absolum.... for this and assured the worried child they'd take care of this... "don't worry we'll use this information and take care of it."
And they didn't just take care of it... THEY MADE IT WORSE! Seeing an even more terrible vision appeared before her.
~
Celestine: Wait I thought you said you'd-
Absolum: Oh but my child we did you said that planet was a goner anyway... they were already possessed.... it would be so wasteful if all those resources would fall to Nightmare...
Sir Uther: We cleared out the planet before Nightmare did. And killed all of those who were going to be infected & spread it throughout the galaxy... we prevented the problem before it even happened...*gives a wicked smile*
Absolum: Yes we couldn't have done it without you *gives a wicked smile*
Celestine couldn't help but blame herself for the downfall of Shiver Star... A few hours later Celestine's warpstar cracked-
"No problem... I think," Absolum
To remedy the situation, Absolum tried to fame concern for her but in reality was keeping her in the temple to hide that she was "broken." She could still tell fortunes just at random, they just had to keep her near the temple and store them whenever they came to her.
Absolum was still reeling at how could this happen... he didn't want to expose his little mistake. (In truth he knew he was working too hard and put her to work earlier than most, because of her ability... CHILD LABOR AM I RIGHT?!.) It was still too valuable, they can't risk having her break some more...
Thus, Celestine became a caged bird.
Uther felt that she was a failure unbecoming of a Hero of Yore and not deserving of her title. She can no longer do the ability properly and with her body always hurting how was she going to fight on the battlefield!
Along with that thought she be too emotional anyway... always trying to steer them to the future... the least amount of damage... HE WANTED PROGRESS! Often opting for the method that would get him results not caring about the collateral damage!
Icarus shares in Uther's sentiments, with the added notion that she got away with lazying around doing nothing. Just got to sit there waiting for the next prediction to come around. He & Uther were doing all the heavy lifting and she was still being treasured by Absolum... (he wasn't jealous of the attention or anything...)
Thus resulting in Icarus having the brilliant idea of sticking Celestine with all the political fairs (the paperwork). Which seemed like a good idea at the time (a decision they would all come to regret).
Unbeknownst to them... they had given Celestine all the diplomatic power in the galactic court. Managing to win over the galactic council with her charm and grace. Uther had always used his power to intimidate his ideals.
However, Celestine had a softer approach and was seen as far more likable in the... (this was before the council was corrupt and this was due to Celestine's influence...) Often resulting in the members to come to her for their problems. Uther couldn't beat her in this arena... being reminded all too well this was a political battle as well.
For Icarus, you see there was a... certain deal he wanted to part take in... a deal with Halacandra. Where did the GSA partner up with and believe that he could easily impress with his inventions... with their queen?! ( Minerva Mim - Magolor's great aunt)
What happened... the king was supposed to be here whys he spent an entire month sucking up to him who was this queen...
The queen was not impressed & ended up showing technology far greater than his... for the first time, Icarus was forced to eat humble pie... "How could this have, surely this is some sort of mistake shouldn't the king be here-"
"Oh he's dead... and unlike him, I'm not to be won over by pretty words and flattery now you offend me... why would I ever want to do business with a lowlife with you!"
Madam made sure to inform the GSA they would not be doing business with them & Absolum desperately wanted to get that deal. Then Celestine volunteered to remedy the situation & suggested inviting her here.
Absolum agrees seeing there is nothing to lose, Uther believes this was just a desperate attempt to try to be useful while Icarus is excitedly waiting for her to fail.
Meeting arrives Celestine takes care of everything personally and at the end of the day. Queen Minerva is all smiles and arrives with a contract, "Alright I've changed my mind, and I'll do the deal as long as I'm working with her."
Minerva wasn't interested in Icarus' inventions but Celestine's alchemic formulas were revolutionary. And just had to have her on their team.
Absolum was shocked and relieved... (maybe this girl had more than one use after all...) and was constantly praising her. And because of her connections with Minerva... she'll need a bodyguard now when she leaves the GSA base but what the why it was worth it.
And Icarus oh how badly he wanted to be part of the mixing pot, but he had to go through Celestine. Who was more than happy to reject his proposal and experiments. (Icarus never forgave her for this.)
She was becoming too influential now ... This resulted in Icarus scheming with Uther... to get rid of her.
Thus beginning the creations of the Ancients & the Halcandrans, with Celestine & Minerva leading the helm. Alongside Dairus Drosselmeyer (Minerva's right-hand man & Daroach's great uncle)... they created many of the legendary treasures... that were now scattered about the galaxy.
(These were kept secret from the GSA... Minerva knew the truth of the situation... for you see during the meeting she had hidden away Kirby's prediction not of him just defeating Nightmare, but the reawakening of Void Termina & Doomsday... and showed it to the Queen and she understood... that's the other reason why she said yes to her)
Minerva helps Celestine create the Kabu's across the galaxy and presents them as "safe houses for star warriors" but in reality, they were all preset guides to Kirby's prophecy.
And helped her create Triple Star... Thus the creating the vigilante Merlyn.... Her work as Merlyn didn't go unnoticed and the people of the galaxy started to recognize the hypocrisy of the GSA. Which made the Ancients & the other's blood boil.
This resulted in having Uther send in his send three of his best soldiers: Sir Nonsurat, Dame Morgan, and last but not least (you guessed it WART... I mean Sir Arthur.)
Kirby's prophecy spoke of "a match" to start the spark that would flame of a new era of peace...
Arthur- Match/ Meta Knight - Spark/Kirby - Flame
At the time she didn't know who it was; the prophecy was incredibly vague with which one it was. But she wasn't going to pass her knowledge to any of them without being sure. (She didn't want another Shiver Star incident to happen... not again...)
But how would she determine which one it would be... they all seemed the most unlikely candidates as "the match." How could she weed out which one... A TRAIL, A TEST, A GAME!
So like in tales of old, Celestine did these little tests of character... and would secretly tag along during missions. Giving them all a chance to see which one it would participate in... Giving them little riddles of the monster Nightmare would do. But she always gave them a choice... (breadcrumbing) and "can't force anyone to change."
However, three of them all seem annoyed at this except for... Sir Arthur was the only one captivated and interested. It takes a while for Arthur to accept Merlyn's but only after the events of:
What Kind of King is in My Blood:
That makes him actively ask for Merlyn (Celestine to help him change) and pretty much becomes Celestine's partner in crime. And as to become a willing student... merely wishing not to become like his master (Sir Uther).
However, their little sparring match still happening, with the condition that he should win... Merlyn's not allowed to be called him Wart... (Needless to say she fought him twice as hard.)
(This post-Celestine is Merlyn:) It goes into more detail about their relationship here but... I added a few things.
Romantic feelings only start after that...
Basically, before they knew they were head-over-heals for each other their love could never be in reality. Not just because of their positions but something else...
After her warpstar broke... she received a terrible vision of her body eventually breaking and her disappearing into star dust. Foreseeing her early death...
She had initially accepted but after all the friends she made (and falling in love with Arthur) she did everything she could to stay longer for them... Celestine tried to keep herself together as long as she could, and managed to keep herself alive a little longer (than she was supposed to) but now she could feel it... she was running out of time.
How was she supposed to tell her everyone... Minerva would be devastated, who was going to help Darius (& Minerva) with his creations, who would protect her followers, and stop Uther & Icarus from making the galaxy into a wasteland...
And worst of all she'd leave Arthur all alone & heartbroken. Who's supposed to tease him now, make sure he doesn't do anything reckless, keep that ego in check, make sure he isn't a prat, to remind him to smile and enjoy life... to laugh... oh her poor little Wart...
No there must be another way...she couldn't tell any of her friends... she wasn't giving up yet... However, little did she know that was the least of her worries...
Celestine was always careful with hiding her connections with her alter-ego... and Arthur, but there was one person who did figure this out. Sir Nonsurat; after Arthur had saved "Merlyn" from his grasp he started to see a pattern.
Arthur had been an accomplice to Merlyn's along... "HOW DARE ARTHUR, I KNEW YOU NEVER DESERVED YOUR POSITION AND WITH THIS YOU WILL BE RUINED FOR SURE."
Thus, Celestine received numerous horrible visions (she got them all at once)... of Arthur being found guilty in a trial. And at the end of each, Arthur had refused to sell her out, remaining loyal to her, confessing his love for her, and dying. And then she saw her demise as well... her body finally breaking right after... poofing into stardust.
Being completely overwhelmed, she burst into tears. Desperately searching for a future where they could both live... (a future where she could be happy with him.) However, it was either that she & Arthur had escaped and her body would explode and Arthur would be captured (by the GSA) and executed right after for his desertion).
Celestine couldn't help but believe that she had destroyed Arthur's future all because she had gotten involved... (it was Shiver Star all over again.) Just like in the other futures... what could she possibly do...
Perhaps...she could solve one problem with another...
So, before the day Nonsurat was going to turn in his report of evidence... Celestine had stolen it away. And with the help of Darius, they manipulated the information to frame someone else...
Nonsurat was infuriated once he found his evidence to be stolen... But he didn't want to cause an uproar, so he demanded a completed search of every squadron. Under the pretext "there is a traitor among us, and they've stolen my documents..."
A complete search required every general to be accounted for. Nonsurat observed Arthur carefully only to find him especially giddy!?
Arthur: I do hope the search is finished soon... The sooner we finish here the sooner I can give Celestine this-
Kit Cosmo: Code red! Everyone needs to come to the Courtyard immediately! Were under attack!
Arthur: By who?!
Kit Cosmo: By... Lady Celestine...
~
(She had already known Icarus was trying to take her down... so using her Nonsurat's evidence, she had successfully framed herself... handing it in in the guise of one of Icarus' informants.)
With the information he had put together and received, Sir Icarus concocted a false trail that Celestine was leaking information and was secretly in cahoots... with Merlyn.
Since it was a trial that involved someone as high-ranking as her... she knew the trial would exclude a select few. And since she knew Nonsurat would warrant a search... she knew it would be the perfect thing to keep Arthur out of the trail.
Celestine: Well, if I am going to get locked away... I might as well make it worth the sentencing.
It was at this moment that Celestine unleashed her demonic owl (she had hidden away) and bit off his head Absolum; killing him instantly. (Madoka Magica style). Icarus tried to stop her but failed Celestine resulting in his wings being ripped off. And officially went on a rampage letting out all those years of unbridled rage & sorrow she had kept in.
Then she remembered quickly about Kirby's prediction... quickly she created her own army of Hydro Clones... to leave them all at bay.
She went into her lab and quarters and destroyed every piece of magical research and Alchemic formula. She wasn't going to let them benefit & use her research any longer and most importantly to keep Kirby's predictions... but one person who managed to get through the army... it was none other than Uther.
Uther: I always knew you were a little witch~
Celestine: That was a sham trial & you know it ... You forced my hand
Uther: You should; 've stayed in your place, someone weak as you, you are not worthy of your spot as a Hero of Yore-
Celestine: Well you are not worthy of your spot as leader! You never were and one day you'll fall you'll see *at that moment Celestine received another vision-*
At that moment Uther thought this was the perfect chance to lung at her but this backfired... he accidentally ended up seeing Celestine's vision too... And it visibly shook him to his core.
Being overwhelmed by the very visions that plague Celestine, (claiming before she was emotionally weak, was causing him to be paralyzed by fear...) It was a vision of his throne crumbling down& everything he built and it was being led by one astral... he couldn't make out the face... was... was it pink...
Celestine tried to pull away so he couldn't see the rest of the vision... and ended up striking his right eye to stop him... Uther was left frozen while Celestine could feel her body about to break and desperately made her escape... But as she stormed out...
Uther: Will make sure you're vision will not come to pass I will find that pink warrior if it's the last thing I do... And I'll- you'll die by my blade gah- *Still paralyzed because of the vision & couldn't get up
Celestine: Sorry Uther... but I'm afraid that honor won't go to you...*runs out to find Arthur* I've already selected my champion...
In the commotion, Arthur manages to find her, desperate he reaches, Celestine:
Arthur: We have to... you need to run-
Celestine: Graduation time Wart *sees a cast of other soldiers & on-looker watching* - Let's see what you're made of! Just treat it as one of our sparring matches and we'll be fine-
After all the losses in their sparing matches, Arthur finally manages to beat Celestine... "Well done, Arthur- you've finally done it, you've w-" * Visibly starts to break... and falls- and Arthur catches her
(Celestine pulls up a smokescreen so no one can see them... however, three people manage to sneak in)
Arthur: Celestine, what's happening to you-
Celestine: I've come to the end of my time- due to my condition my body was bound to break... I didn't mean to hide it... I really thought I could beat the odds... I'm sorry War- Oh I guess I can't call you Wart-
Arthur: NO! If that's the case you weren't in the best condition- *starts crying* I didn't really win-, you have to stay *sobs profusely* You have to stay and call me Wa-Wart!
Celestine: Figures *chuckles...* it takes you this long to finally admit you like the nickname ... Thank you Arthur you made my life short all the worthwhile... I hope you can forgive me
Arthur: There's nothing to forgive Cel- Celty, *cries* I love you, please there is always something... There's always, you told me that... You're the greatest mage in the galaxy... there's got to be...
Celestine: I surely hope that light of you doesn't get snuffed out *smiles warmly* it's going to be hard Wart but remember this...
Keep your eyes open and beware of the bad in the world... but also hold on to the good as well... you don't have to look, just know that it's there... it'll keep you from falling...
(the quote that Meta Knight said to Kirby originally came from Sir Arthur... that was told from Celestine...)
And even should you lose your way I know you'll find it again... you'll always be a worthy king to me. I love you too Arthur... and I always will.... (*they share one passionate kiss*)
It was a kiss Arthur had so longed for, but it was laced with so much sorrow and joy all at the same time...
Arthur: I don't wanna let you go-* Gets knocked out by Minerva...
She had informed Minerva before the trial (and of course was devastated but was willing to fulfill her last request). And who stood behind her were Darius & Kit the only three witnesses to what really happened. Kit realizes that Celestine is Merlyn... She then handed off and knocked out Arthur to Darius & Kit Cosmo.
And made sure they promised to paint Arthur as the hero who defeated her. And fled the scene and Minerva went to her best friend and hugged her one last time... and fled with the others.
When they had all left to safety... she lifted the smoke screen only to see a hoard of Ancients led by Uther try to arrest her. She flew into the air Celestine had her Gravity wicked moment... as her body finally was about to shatter into pieces.
Celestine: I curse you all, *putting one final spell cursing the Ancients* (basically she's the reason why they all disappeared)
As her body started to implode they mistook it to be a suicide bombing and she was planning to take them all down with her... thinking quick the Ancients Crystalized to prevent the explosion...
But in that moment she has one final vision of Arthur taking the seat as leader of the GSA. She smiles and says "I always you could do it Wart *starts cry* It's just too bad I'll never be able to see it in person".
Arthur woke up in the hospital wing hearing... Darius & Kit recount the story of the incident. With the way Kit & Darius spun it was Arthur who saved the day... (Arthur realized this was all part of Celestine's plan: to give him a title that would protect him even when she was gone...) Arthur * began to weep* with Kit trying to comfort him the best he could...
Making Arthur (to the Ancients) irreplaceable... being able to take down a Hero of Yore when they (Icarus & Uther) could not. Being extremely grateful (and needing a new holy figure), gave him the title of "Holy Knight," and said they owed him one favor...
(So basically he got credit for defeating the love of his life & took her place as the GSA's holy figure...)
So in summary:
Before being detained, she managed to rip off Icarus' wings, blind Uther in his right eye, and kill about 500 Ancients. She was trying to escape only to be stopped by Sir Arthur, who defeated her in battle. But tried to escape only to be cornered by the remaining soldiers... and seeing she had nowhere else to run...
Despite the efforts of the Ancients to paint her as wicked, people could not believe in the shame of a trial. Especially Minerva, when she heard this false slander on her best friend (she had enough of it)... she declared Halcandra's formal separation from the GSA. Cutting them from Halcandra's advanced technology caused an even bigger scandal. And had put her down to silence her as well... removing her...
(What happened to Darius... well that's a story for later)
Ruining their reputation even further... destroying the pristine image they had built up until now. And those who were at the trail were split in the middle... On one hand, it seemed like she had gone on a rampage because of her unfair judgment and merely reacted because she was pushed into the corner. On the other hand, she had always been hiding away her true nature & hatred for all of them, and once she had been found out... she unleashed all of it.
Were both true...
As a result, the Ancients tried to erase her from existence... from the galaxy, with only the remaining Ancients & the Heroes of Yore remembering her... Celestine had become forgotten.` Basically, she was described as (by the Ancients) the unspeakable third who tried to destroy them all & maliciously take them down with her. And she had to be erased...
However, this did not remedy the situation... Uther was still haunted by Celestine's vision he must hunt down the pink warrior... he will not have his reign end. Icarus was all too happy to take over the Halcandra projects... however, was always constantly reminded of being reduced to flightless astral and still hates her to this day.
While everyone had forgotten Celestine: they all remembered Merlyn. But even though, "Merlyn" had become a legend, many doubted the actual existence... of this supernatural being.
However, there was one person who managed to remember her... and that's where her story ends...
Or maybe not...
Her crystallization saved her preventing her from exploding... So she was still alive in there. They tried to hide her crystal in a cave and seal it off so no one would find her... Little did they know that the cave held one of the dark portals of Morpho accidentally ending up in the underworld...
And guess who ends up accidentally winds up there.
Tumblr media
BTW they got married in the Underworld
I actually planned this out to be a tragedy, but I ended up making them have a happy ending... (that I can't reveal just yet how it happens in the story)
BUT BEST BELIEVE OUR GIRL GETS EVERYTHING SHE DESERVES AND SITS ON THE THRONE WITH HER KING WHERE SHE BELONGS!
And if you read this long thank you for reading! <3

Mini headcanons. A speedrun.
Both Merlin and Arthur are excellent at skipping stones. This is how they decide who collects the firewood for camp.
Besides Gaius, Gwaine knows the recipe for the best hangover cure. He gives them out in the morning after a night out.
Percival is really good at doing someone else's hair, despite having a minimum amount of it himself. He taught Gwaine how to braid his hair out of the way and sometimes helps the other knights as well.
Gaius has a journal where he writes about interesting/difficult cases of illnesses and how he cured the patients. He is very meticulous with every single one.
Uther is always up before everyone else. He does not like to be woken up by servants. He's also always the first one to go to sleep. Uther is very proud of his sleeping schedule and boasts about it to Arthur or whoever will listen.
Elyan and Gwen have a deal. Gwen sneaks treats from the kitchen for Elyan and, in return, he teaches her more sword-fighting.
Morgana, while she was still living in Camelot, always exchanged gossip with the other servants. There was a whole system developed and every new servant was informed about it and how it worked. Only Morgana and the servants knew about this.
Leon LOVES reading. He is the only person that Geoffrey can stand being in the library and the archives. Despite his busy schedule, he takes a book with him everywhere with the hope that he will have a moment to read it. This is why he was surprised/excited to find out about Arthur's "love for poetry".
Merlin is a bit of a plant mom. He keeps a few potted plants in his bedroom and vents to them about Arthur.
Arthur likes to hum tavern songs while riding his horse on patrol. Sometimes the other knights join in and it ends with a full-on concert where the whole patrol is singing.

Arknights 14-10 Spoilers
Love the King Arthur inversion in Vina's storyline. rather than having to pull the sword out of the stone in order to lead her people, everyone has to come together to help her put the sword into the stone instead. The Sigh of Kings only showed the power to cleave Catastrophe once it was sheathed, not by cutting down enemies - by itself it's just a key, no different from any other sword.
Very interesting way to do a King Arthur inspired narrative in a story that's vocally in stark opposition to monarchy as a system and refuses to see any sort of honor or meaning in war. I don't know much about how her story continues from here but hopefully they don't ruin it because this part was pretty cool.

Note
hello! can i ask a Leonidas and Apollo that is in a romantic ployrelationship with a male y/n that is king arthur himself,
note:this is a long one)if you don't know king Arthur here's some information:
King Arthur is a legendary king of Britain, and a central figure in the medieval literary tradition known as the Matter of Britain. In Welsh sources, Arthur is portrayed as a leader of the post-Roman Britons in battles against Anglo-Saxon invaders of Britain in the late 5th and early 6th centuries.
He was a warrior, a knight and a king who killed giants, witches and monsters and led a band of heroes on many daring adventures. He is known for his Knights of the Round Table and for uniting the peoples of his land. Even though his end was tragic, he is still known and celebrated all over the world today.
King Arthur's most famous weapon, sometimes conflated with the sword in the stone, is Excalibur. Excalibur is, in some versions of Arthur's story, the same as the sword in the stone. In others, he is given Excalibur by a mystical Lady in the Lake
and so for the real request:
so like y/n would be a calm and collective person that would never get pissed off even if you try too piss him off and is the type that does not care what there partner title is, or what they look like and just love's them for them.(and like Arthur is there real name and "y/n" is
there nickname/fake name?)
and that's why Leonidas and Apollo fell for them as y/n didn't care about what Apollo looked like and how he didn't care if Leonidas was strong or was a king and just Loved them for who they are.
both Apollo and Leonidas don't know that y/n is king Arthur himself, but they do know y/n is a king, and the reason why they don't know that? it's because y/n was very vague about it, like they just said they're a well known and great king but didn't pecifically say who. so Apollo and Leonidas just went with that y/n was some great leader/king.
and when Ragnarok came around y/n was worried about their 2 lovers but in this one it ends in a tie so y/n is very relieved at this,
and a little time skip! so it was too the end of Ragnarok when the god's surprised Brunhilde with a whole new round!
so Brunhilde only know's one more person…it was y/n or his real title… king Arthur.
at first y/n declined but after Brunhilde said who would he be fighting…let's call them gladiones who is another/different god of war and victory and a well known narcissistic god would be his opponent that's when y/n accepted immediately
(let's just say y/n absolutely despises gladiones, because of his arrogant, prideful and narcissistic behavior as well as gladiones threatening to attack his kingdom(Camelot) when he was alive back on earth…)
and coincidentally y/n's Valkyrie also hate's gladiones as much as he does so they work perfectly together!
let's go to when they introduce y/n or Arthur:
so like Leonidas and Apollo are in the stadium sitting and looking around for y/n as well as waiting for them, but they don't know that y/n is the next fighter,
so when gladiones was done getting introduce, all looked at the entrance for
Arthur or y/n
(keep in mind the gods and humans don't know who will be the next fighter)
they realize a cloaked figure was waking out all them realizing there was a rock that had a sword embedded into it, as everyone watched the cloak figure go to the rock holding the handle of the sword before taking out the sword from the rock as it flashed everyone with a bright light,
after the light vanished it revealed who was wearing the cloak and it was y/n! that's When heimdall introduce y/n as the legendary king himself king Arthur! and the sword that they pulled out of the rock was none other then the legendary sword itself…Excalibur!!(and of course would be his weapon his Valkyrie also made it that he can transform Excalibur to any divine weapon he wants.
and a dozen brave knights and the round table cheering for him)
and before heimdall could even say to Begin, both of them charged at each other weapons drawn with the intention of defeating the other as there wepon hit, it had created a little crater beneath them making shock waves go through the arena,
and so gladiones and y/n's fight would be the most "ON SIGHT" type fight in ragnarok as well as the longest ,and the first time Leonidas and Apollo seeing y/n or Arthur so pissed off…like y/n looking at gladiones with the most pissed look you can imagine a shadow covering his face as you can see the veins on the side of his face/on his forehead…the pure heated tension between the two being so thick that you can practically cut it with a butter knife…
and so, not only was, y/n and his Valkyrie beating down on gladiones physically but mentally too like:
when gladiones took a kneel and was seriously injured because of y/n's attack, and y/n's Valkyrie would say something like this:
"hm what's this? taking a kneel already!? have you accepted defeat that easily!"
(and would cheer if they manage to knock gladiones on his a$$ giving him a taste of his own medicine! or in short term imagine Geirölul and Leonidas interactions but more bloodlusted and more hatred and unlike Leonidas and Apollo that is one sided like one compliments the other while the other insults them, both of them hates each other as like beating down each other's with words and action with no mercy)
of course y/n would win, as gladiones was fading away, when he was about to say his last words,y/n stabbed Excalibur right in gladiones head making his head completely disintegrate, not giviqng him a chance to say anything, that's how much y/n hates gladiones, bro didn't give him a chance to say his last words.
and so how would Leonidas and Apollo react to his fight
and both him and his Valkyrie absolute hatred and bloodlust for gladiones.
(i hope this isn't too much for you to write and if you want you can just do the reaction's only :> )
(AND REMEMBER DON'T OVER WORK YOURSELF AND STAY HYDRATED & HAVE A GOOD DAY OR NIGHT ‼️‼️)
-You were known to be one of the greatest kings of all time- one who was loyal, hardworking, had the love of your people, and even in modern day the legend of King Arthur lives on.
-In Valhalla you were well liked and very respected, many still looking up to you as a king as you always made sure to help others.
-Those who didn’t know who you were thought you were weak for helping others, and some tried to attack you, wanting to put you in your place.
-They weren’t expecting to be fighting a legendary warrior- especially not King Arthur of all people!! You gave a speech, inspiring them afterwards, that just because you help others does not make you weak- it made you stronger, because you were willing to do what others wouldn’t.
-Not only getting their asses beat by just you, then to get called out on it on top of it did humble your attackers and when you visited the children you were helping a few days later- they told you how your attackers had been helping more, something you admired them for- praising them.
-Your strength and your qualities as a good leader caught the eyes of many, admirers who respected you and what you could do, but you’ve also had been approached many times romantically.
-You were always hesitant on entering another relationship, after you had been betrayed so cruelly by the woman you loved and by one of your most trusted friends and allies.
-However, there were two men who had caught your interest and managed to keep it, who were like cats and dogs with each other, but with you between them, they got along… most of the time, and to be honest, you had never been happier.
-You just never imagined that those you found your happiness with would be two other men, another legendary king like yourself, Leonidas of Sparta, and Apollo, Greek god of the sun.
-Apollo adored how you were much like Leonidas- you were unapologetically you- you didn’t care what others thought about you, you did what made you happy and what made you happy was helping others.
-Leonidas admired you for your strength, not just as a warrior, but as a king, because you knew when to fight and you knew when to talk and he could see how others admired you for the king you were.
-You found peace with them, they were your quiet place, where you could just relax, and they were the only ones to know your nickname, the one only those closest to you are allowed to know, Y/N.
-When Ragnarok was announced, Apollo and Leonidas were approached to fight for their respective sides.
-You watched your lovers beat the hell out of each other, pushing each other to their limits- as the three of you had promised one another, as you and Leonidas were on the opposite side of Apollo, that if any of you had been opponents, that they wouldn’t hold back.
-Their fight ended in a double knockout, and you remained by both of their sides as they were being patched up and tended to.
-When the gods decided, after humanity had won, to try and pull a fast one, demanding one more match, all or nothing, Brunnhilde knew exactly who to go to.
-As you approached the gates, your Valkyrie partner came up beside you, taking your hand as she became your Volundr, a shield, one in the shape of a lion’s head, as you both were silently fuming.
-Your opponent was a god of war, a cruel and violent man- one who wasn’t worthy of his power or his title, Gladiones and you both were ready to bash his face in, mainly because when he was announced as the final fighter for the gods, he had laughed cruelly at those who had fallen, and insulted your lovers- saying that they weren’t strong enough to win and it ended in a tie, which in his eyes was disgraceful.
-You remember him well when you were still alive, when he attempted to attack Camelot, wanting to test its strength and the strength of those inside- you beat him back, but you had lost so many friends that day. You swore never to forgive that bastard.
-Apollo and Leonidas were back on their feet, just a little banged up as the nurses were able to heal them up, curious about this last fight, while Apollo looked around, “Where is Y/N?”
-Leonidas, a bit cranky because he was told he can’t smoke yet, glanced around, “Not sure- he was there in the infirmary with us but now he’s no where to be seen.”
-Gladiones was announced first and so many people were booing- seeing the poor sportsmanship of the gods and Zeus was quickly feeling the anger, it made the gods look bad for wanting to try to pull out one last fight because they didn’t want to be seen as losers.
-Leonidas clicked his tongue, heat radiating off of him, as Gladiones was an even bigger bastard than Apollo, and Apollo had to agree- Gladiones was a poor excuse for a god.
-In the center of the arena, a hole opened and a rock rose on a lift, a sword imbedded as the door for humanity opened, a cloaked figure walking out, walking towards the sword, holding a lion’s head shield.
-You inhaled deeply, seeing the sword that you had held for so long, the sword that helped you become the king you were today.
-You grabbed the hilt of the sword, all eyes on you and as you pulled the sword from the stone, a bright light flash banged everyone and blew your cloak off.
-As the light faded, everyone was stunned to see you, to see King Arthur there, now holding Caliburn once again in your hand. (Excalibur is the sword from the Lady of the Lake, while Caliburn is the sword in the stone, however historians have sometimes melded the two into one sword- Excalibur, but in the original legend they were two very different swords.)
-Heimdall didn’t even have a chance to introduce you, but many knew your name, as Gladiones immediately charged for you and you inhaled deeply before charging, fury in your eyes and rage in your blood.
-Your blades met, causing a shockwave to create a shallow crater around the two of you, blowing Heimdall back, and creating a strong wind that blew many back head over heels.
-Leonidas grinned broadly, “Kick his ass Y/N!” and soon all of humanity was at your back, as well as Apollo and the gods who supported humanity, now wanting humanity to survive as they had shown their strength and willingness to fight.
-You didn’t hear their cheers, you were only focused on Gladiones, and your Valkyrie, who was holding the shield alongside you smirked darkly, “Let’s end this quickly, shall we my king?”
-You didn’t answer, instead immediately going on the attack, both you and Gladiones parrying each other’s blows, not giving an inch, war cries escaping your lips as you went harder and harder.
-Gladiones was quickly gritting his teeth, no longer parrying you and instead he had to focus on dodging and blocking your blows- as he was being pushed back.
-He wasn’t expecting you to take a leaf out of Leonidas’ book and you swung with your shield, bashing into his face.
-Your Valkyrie was all smiles, “Do it again!” and so you did- hitting him with your shield after he blocked your sword, knocking him back head over heels.
-You seemed brutal, but you knew that Gladiones was a cruel god who would take any opening- any hint at weakness or mercy and he would immediately attack, so you gave him none- as you knew that you would receive none from him.
-Apollo was staring with big sparkly eyes, watching you fight so seriously- you looked awesome!! Leonidas was cheering loudly alongside everyone else, cheering for you.
-Gladiones reeled after you surprised everyone by headbutting him, after he blocked both your sword and your shield, sending him to the ground.
-Unlike you, still going strong, Gladiones was on his last legs- he never imagined that you were this strong, this fierce- but you had a lot of drive in you. You were willing to do whatever it took to win- not for yourself, but for humanity.
-As Gladiones started to fade away and you were announced as the winner, Gladiones looked up at you, almost like he wanted to beg for mercy.
-You stunned all by drive the sword through his head, ending his suffering, as he was slowly dying. You didn’t let him utter a single word, ending his life quickly- the one mercy you were willing to give him.
-Everyone was cheering, seeing how hard you had fought- seeing you determination as you exhaled deeply, your shoulders sagging as your partner took back her form, leaping into your arms, cheering loudly, “You did it Y/N!”
-You couldn’t help but smile, patting the back of her head gently as you hugged her back as Zeus finally announced that humanity had earned their right for survival, and that as gods- they were going to do their jobs.
-You went backstage, smiling warmly as you heard the cheers still echoing throughout the arena. Your heard running footsteps and you grinned, opening your arms as Apollo leapt into your arms, “Y/N!”
-You hugged him close, and he felt you sag into him lightly, the tension leaving your body as Leonidas made it to you, putting his hand on the back of your head, “That was amazing Y/N! I knew you had it in you!”
-You celebrated with them, and with the rest of humanity, celebrating the survival of humanity and seeing the gods finally pulling their heads out of their asses and doing their jobs.
-You mourned those who fell in battle but celebrated those who survived- all by the sides of your lovers- you could finally relax.

This Rsa stone sword is making me think of too much scenario...
Like, after Book 7 end, perhaps in Book 8, the Diasomnia family walks in for the Magishift Tournament NRC lose every year. And for the event, this stone sword is exposed and people could try to put it out of the stone because of some prophecy telling only the heir could take it out.
Some descendants of the Silver Owls are there, in RSA, and they are kinda awkward seeing Lilia. No hate or anything. But General Vanrouge is like a scary child tale and here he is, all silly walking and teasing his sons. Then, Silver's ring starts shining a bit under his clothes and he ask about the sword -and Lilia tells him the legend behind it.
Sebek being the cute pround boy he is go tried to take it -he fails.
Malleus be like "I feel some kind of curse on this sword...should I try to dispell it ?"
Lilia answering "No, you will destroy all the fun. And you're still in overblot recovery young man"
Then, it's Silver turn. And like in the King Arthur legend, boy take out this sword like nothing. Everyone is speechless, and Lilia reconized the Knight of Dawn sword.
"Oh, freak, I should've see it coming"
[referring to this post]
Hello Anonie 🌺🌷🌻
The RSA sword in stone has always interested me because of the potential symbolism it can bring. I have always been curious how RSA would play a role in the future especially after the Knight of Dawn was introduced. Then we add in the fact that RSA was established fairly recently and how almost each twst character has an rsa counterpart… 👀🤔
If Book 8 takes place during the Spelldrive tournament, it would be a very curious connection. We know the next book will have Diasomnia helping out with (presumably) Grim OB, but also adding in the tournament would be curious move because then we have a possible connection there with Silver (as talked about in linked post above).
I would be very interested to see how they connect the past to the present as Yana mentioned that past, present, and future will play a role 🤔
(This is also me hoping for more Knight of Dawn content 🙏 OTL)
I do wonder where the sword of the Knight of Dawn is 🤔, just like the Princess Glow, we don’t know the whereabouts of these powerful magic items.
Yet, items such as Lilia’s hatchet and Dawn’s ring is known. Interesting how it’s always the ‘protector’ items that’s shown but not the ‘weapon’ of destruction if that makes sense.
I fully believe if such an event like this was to occur the headmasters of both sides played a role somehow.
I would find it very funny if the sword was comically found like this 😂
Just…can you imagine? It’s supposed to be fun and games. And Lilia probably has a feeling but you know, what can go wrong? (Famous last words) and, whoops, Silver pulls out the sword.
Lilia: Oh, so that’s why the handle looked familiar.
Malleus: How could you forget?!
…well, it looks like they have another weapon to chop wood with 😆🤣
Someone help the sons deal with their father 😂🙏

do you have any arthur/guinevere/lancelot recommendations? if not, just stories where their characters were done justice and their friendship is explored and the love triangle comes to some satisfying solution.
i sure do! as always, with caveats. this list has two parts: films first and then books as i have suggestions for both! all of these movies can be watched here and the books read here.
TL;DR movies: Excalibur (1981), Camelot (1967), Knights of The Round Table (1953), Merlin and The Sword (1985), Sword of Lancelot (1963)
TL;DR books: The Birth of Galahad by Richard Hovey, Arthur Rex by Thomas Berger, Guinevere Trilogy by Persia Woolley, Guinevere by Lavinia Collins, Spear by Nicola Griffith, honorable mention to Arthurian Saga by Mary Stewart
MOVIES:
Excalibur (1981): for me it has everything. we get to see young stupid arthur and clever curious guinevere fall in love, their wedding is gorgeous, then nicholas clay my beloved lancelot throws a wrench in it as he loves and respects them both so much, and they love him. he gets to be crazy about it too like running off to the woods to beg god to take these feelings away, dreams he's fighting himself and ends up impaled<3 meanwhile arthur/guinevere leave a cup out for him even when he isn't there. the crux of it comes when guinevere is accused of cheating (which she hadn't even at this point) and arthur won't champion her because his kingship comes before husbandly duties, so lancelot fights for her honor instead. at the end, after guinevere has gone away to a convent (lancelot is a wildman with a full beard lost to them all) arthur comes to retrieve excalibur from her and his speech is so romantic about finding her in the next life. i die every time. here is my review of that movie.
Camelot (1967): i adoooore this guinevere. jenny<3 she does whatever she wants and i love that for her. the whole may day queen aspect of her is muah chef's kiss. small wonder arthur loved her immediately. this arthur gets to wear eyeliner which is a plus. lancelot almost kills arthur on meeting him and then falls at his feet on realizing it, only for guinevere to be really cold to him at first, trying to get other knights to defeat him, but ends up falling in love with him. which arthur totally knows and turns a blind eye to btw. even when pellinore brings it up in as gently as possible, arthur bites his head off, knowing he cant even entertain the rumor or else the kingdom is in danger, and he just wants his two favorite people to be happy....cries forever.
Knights of The Round Table (1953): the biggest downside to this one is that lancelot has a horrible insufferable american accent. however his celebrity worship/instant friendship with arthur is soooo good. he breaks his own sword for threatening the king and then arthur gives him his own....is that even allowed to be so adorable? anyway so lancelot had met guinevere before they were arthur's friend and wife, essentially had a charming meet cute, and went their separate ways, only to formally meet at the wedding in front of everyone....god, the eye contact could turn someone to stone. arthur is extremely sympathetic and compassionate, to the point that when he catches guinevere sulking alone on the roof with a gift from lancelot, he says "i miss him too..." bruh???? my heart?? all around delicious food.
Merlin and The Sword (1985): huge disclaimer...this movie is ugly as sin lol the only version available is ripped from a vhs tape so it might as well be a crunchy gif at this point. it was also cut down from the 3 hour tv version to 1.5 hours which is a tragedy. (i've tried emailing the studio for a rerelease to no avail...) however it has the most insane arthur/guinevere/lancelot ever i'll never be the same. arthur is played by malcom mcdowell who always brings his a game to roles. he's a bit older than guinevere, but she apparently taught him to read? he dotes on her but he's somewhat emotionally stunted which gets in the way. this guinevere is gorgeous i'm obsessed with her she has this deep sultry voice and a simple elegance that completely shatters lancelot's resolve. i get it, it would work on me. lancelot meanwhile is this incredibly lanky sometimes mute shy guy who is besties with gawain and his meet cute with guinevere involves the mingling of their blood after they are both cut on some rose thorns? hello???? they're freaks just like chrétien intended. the blood. they share bath water and fuck in a dungeon. then after guinevere is rescued from meleagant, arthur asks merlin for some sort of potion to help guinevere recover emotionally instead of like.....talking to her? he's trying but so so bad at it<3 he then takes her to bed to "treat her like a queen." IT'S ALL GREAT IT MAKES ME FERAL ARGH
Sword of Lancelot (1963): this one is fun because cornel wilde wrote it, directed it, and starred as lancelot himself!! the other fun factoid is the woman who plays guinevere is his real life wife. how stinking cute is that? so obviously their chemistry is ridiculous. but arthur is a cutie too. he's older and tends to talk down to guinevere a bit, which makes sense why she befriends lancelot in her loneliness. lancelot gets a lot of development, taking young tor under his wing, besties with gawain and lamorak and gareth. being irl married to guinevere also makes their disagreements feel very real. arthur is counseled by a ton of characters, bedievere, merlin, even mordred is here giving his two cents. so you really feel that tug of war pulling the throuple apart. it hurts.
BOOKS:
The Birth of Galahad by Richard Hovey: this play is wiiiiiild but the take away here is that guinevere is the mother of galahad. like what a twist. meanwhile all the men are away fighting rome so you get this tragic back and forth switching of perspective between lancelot and arthur missing guinevere (plus galehaut is here as counsel which really kicks this up a notch) then it cuts to guinevere with a new baby and tormented by the prospect of whether to write to rome with the news but afraid it will cause an upset where she cant be.....hovey you mad lad you've done it again.
Arthur Rex by Thomas Berger: i hate i keep having to recommend this bigoted book but damn it this arthur/guinevere/lancelot are so good. why are they sooo goood???? this arthur is compelling since he loses his virginity to morgause and is forever messed up after that, so he struggles to connect with guinevere in the way she needs, not really understanding her even though he bends over backwards to please her. meanwhile there isnt a word for what she and lancelot have here they need to be studied under a microscope so history doesn't repeat itself they're so twisted it's wild i can't look away. and the friendship between arthur and lancelot is so powerful and enduring that even at the end while joyous garde is under siege, arthur sends in kay with food the moment he hears their stores are low, and has him serve them like old times. he doesnt want it to be the way it is....sick and twisted narrative choices.
Guinevere Trilogy by Persia Woolley: i admit this isn't my favorite guinevere, but credit where it's due, she's a complex and fully realized character. through her we come to understand both arthur and lancelot as deeply damaged men, who had their emotional states devastated by the fall out of sexual abuse, and how that impacts their relationship with her (and their sons, mordred and galahad, who likewise suffer as a result of their fathers' emotional states). as a celtic queen, guinevere has every right to take a lover if she so desires, and arthur is not ignorant of his own failings as a husband, but the tragedy plays out anyway as the orkney brothers are there to wreak havoc on the place as usual. (you might find that this has a movie adaptation Guinevere (1994) don't watch it, trust me, it's not even fun bad, just cursed.)
Guinevere by Lavinia Collins: this is technically part of a series so you'll also get a lot of arthur and lancelot in the other three (Igraine, Morgawse, Morgan) but for the sake of this list, the guinevere one will suffice. anyway what i like about this is the strong contrast in relationships with both men. lancelot is bisexual and guinevere is the first woman he ever sleeps with (but not the last...) so theyre very tender and sweet together meanwhile arthur sired mordred before marrying her he's overall more adventurous while keeping entirely faithful to her for the rest of his life......there is a threesome in this but ironically its lancelot/guinevere/kay and not arthur but you know what? he deserves a win. this still goes on the list.
Spear by Nicola Griffith: this is perceval pov so the focus on arthur/guinevere/lancelot is minimal, but its delicious. arthur is kinda cold and mean here (falling back on the celtic "bear" thing, same as woolley does) but its revealed that he, lancelot, and guinevere are in a throuple, the characterization of lancelot's shy explanation of this was so good, and he goes on the grail quest to try and heal guinevere's womb so she can have their children, as it's a point of tension that mordred and galahad both exist, but guinevere wants to have children with arthur and lancelot. there's literally a part she faints and they both carry her off to bed like....they dont even pretend its any other way. no homophobia or slut shaming or anything like that in this book which is a huge plus. palate cleanser after arthur rex lol
Arthurian Saga by Mary Stewart: this is more of an honorable mention, as the first three books are merlin pov and the fourth is mordred. but book two (the hollow hills) has arthur raised alongside bedwyr (who is lancelot in all but name, son of ban, eventual lover of guinevere etc) they are the best of friends its adorable, bedwyr gave him his dog cabal, which is cute on its own, then fast forward to mordred pov (the wicked day) decades later and arthur is picking out a new puppy and names that one cabal too, its like this long homoromantic ritual that every dog descended from the first calls back to his original gift....im pulling my hair out. guinevere here is underdeveloped at best, as merlin doesnt really know her well and mordred's perspective on her is that shes (respectfully) hot lmao but worth mentioning as mary stewart is the goat, highly recommend her books.
and that's the list. hope that gives you some stuff to chew over!

Hypothesis (Theory) : A proof of virtue.
How Cedric's admiration for the wizard Merlin can explain his fixation on getting the amulet of Avalor, and his real reason for wanting to use it to become king. ( In this case, the reason for wanting to use the amulet in question, not the exactly reason for wanting to govern the kingdom. )
To reach this conclusion we must answer some questions:
Why didn't Cedric use his own magic or other means to take the throne?
Why didn't he resort to more "classic villainy" strategies?
Why would he just want an item that has a security system that prevents it from being used for evil purposes?
If he sees himself as a bad person, what stops him from using less ethical and more unscrupulous means to get what he wants?
The answer may lie in the story of his own idol, Merlin.
Story Context: Merlin is one of the most influential characters in the legend of King Arthur, being his advisor and best friend. In the adaptation of the legend, in the Disney film The Sword in the Stone, we are introduced to a simple boy, Arthur, who works as a stable boy in a castle and dreams of becoming a knight. Despite his simple origin and being ridiculed by his acquaintances, Merlin becomes his mentor ensuring that in the future Arthur will be a king. The prophecy comes true when Arthur pulls the sword from the stone and becomes king.
Similarities between Merlin and Cedric:
Both are magic users, and serve as mentors for young commoners who have become or will become royalty.
They also have animal assistants, who question the abilities of their mentors' apprentices.
And they have a personal feud with other magic users, who seek to humiliate them by demonstrating the superiority of their powers over theirs.
Resolution of the hypothesis: Cedric wants to use the amulet of Avalor to prove himself worthy of ruling, just like in the Arthurian Legend. That's why his idol is the wizard Merlin.
By wearing the amulet, he would be in possession of a symbol of virtue, just like the sword of the stone in King Arthur's possession.
It is possible that Cedric's intentions in using the amulet are similar to the sword of legend, as this would show him as being worthy of the throne, proving his knowledge of magic and signaling his value. That's why he wouldn't have used offensive tactics to take the throne right away, because he wanted to prove himself worthy in the eyes of those who despised him. And only when he saw that he would not be worthy of receiving the amulet and using it, he used a direct offensive attack by allying with The Order of the Wand to take the throne by force.
It could even be said in a headcanon, that Cedric saw himself as Arthur as a child.
With weak physique, and being a burden to his father figures and being mocked by his own friends and siblings.
Perhaps he found comfort in knowing that even someone initially as weak as Ortis became the great King Arthur.
Ironically, one of the powers that Cedric so desires to receive from the amulet is physical strength itself. But in the legend, the sword from the stone is not raised by great strength, but by the humility of a sincere heart in helping those in need. Precisely the virtue that little princess Sofia has.
P.S.
Hello, I'm still new to the fandom and haven't seen much of the original material yet. Everything I know so far has come from other people's video essays and reviews, which I'm so grateful for sharing your knowledge with everyone.
I just wanted to share this thought because as far as I know, I haven't seen anyone commenting yet. Or maybe it was just my lack of knowledge about others who reached the same conclusion before me. I don't want to reinvent the wheel.
It's just an idea, I don't even know if this could be right, or if it makes sense or not. Who knows?
(By the way, English is not my first language. So, I hope I used the translation tool correctly.)
Anyway, thank you very much for paying attention to what I have to say and feel free to comment with your own views and opinions!

None of us can choose our destiny, Merlin — and none of us can escape it.
#but actually!!#thank you for pointing it out it was completely accidental#like i wanted an image of kilgharrah & merlin looking really small obviously#but excalibur looming in the foreground of the 2nd image is a nice contrast#its even on the opposite side of tiny merlin#nice symmetry i like it#if i say so myself#i didn't like. plan it.#i'm not that clever#I did want to pick an image that symbolised merlin and arthur's great destiny and it was surprisingly hard to think of one#because well. we never get to see any of camelot's golden age actually#and much of what merlin does is in the background. in secret.#but excalibur. it's a great symbol I thought#everyone knows exalibur. the stuff of legends. which is kind of the feel I was trying to evoke#and as someone pointed out -- YES the myth of the sword in the stone is not actually true in the show#but I think that's also the point?#like yes it's something merlin made up!#he's creating the legend. giving shape to the myth of arthur the great king.#and making arthur into the king that people will remember through the ages -- that's also his destiny. i think#and I am... heavily invested in the concept of merlin the kingmaker as I've mentioned before#in fact I initially wanted to pick an image of arthur pulling at the sword with merlin lurking in the background#bc I thought it was very symbolic. merlin acting in the shadows#arthur being the center of everyone's attention but merlin actually doing the work#powerful and unnoticed.#but the quote didn't fit in as well lol#also i think it's nice that they're standing together in this other pic#side by side#ready to tackle destiny together#or as someone else pointed out#“it looks like they're about to fight excalibur” lol

EXCALIBUR'S WRATH (Sonic and the Black Knight 2)
Everyone knew the tale.
The tale of a cobalt hedgehog, drifting in from another dimension, swooping down to rid the world of plague that had haunted them for years. The tale of a witch obsessed with immortality and afraid of the changes her kingdom may face. The tale of how the hero ended up the "bad guy", the opposition ending her delusion and restoring the world the way it should be.
Yes, everyone knows that tale. But there is one that no one ever speaks of - one far more significant than the former. One that changed the world for good.
This... is the tale of Excalibur's Wrath.
Tumblr media
Do you dare to fight again?
When Camelot recovers from their gruesome battle with the Dark Queen, another sinister evil lurks from underneath. From the dark army reappearing from thin air to the disappearance of the all-powerful sword Excalibur (or Caliburn as he much rather prefer to be called), the Knights of the Round Table are at a loss.
Who is this enemy?
With no answers and far too many questions, they all decide to recall King Arthur otherwise known as the trusty cobalt hedgehog named Sonic the Hedgehog. Perhaps in their time of need might he shine the brightest.
But without the power of Excalibur, Sonic fears that he may not be able to stop the looming doom that taints the world with its dark color. With a dire situation lingering over his head, will he have the strength to push back? Or will he be overcome with powerlessness, unable to fight back?
Tumblr media
A/N: Surprise. Sequel to Sonic and the Black Knight 2! This will be my home page for all the chapters and information you might need in order to understand some things in the book (and me too because I know NOTHING about old tales the sword in the stone).
This idea only came to me as a joke. I started saying like “what if I wrote a sequel to a game that doesn’t really need one?” and so then the gears in my brain started to turn and I came up with this.
And so, this idea has been nurtured so much that I would HONESTLY say that this could work as an actual game. I would put it on the switch for convenience (cause the Wii is a little outdated as of now lol), but it could so work. All it needs is Jason Griffith and a whole lot of coding.
Enough of me talking, though. I’m sure you want to know the cast. And might I say I’ve introduced nearly 5 new characters into the world of Camelot, a few you’d be surprised to see.
I also have a few more side notes; since this is basically fan-made there WILL be implied ships. Which ones? I’ll let you figure that out. ~
Tumblr media
MAIN CAST (I’ll put descriptions for them later)
King Arthur / Sonic
The King of Camelot. Dubbed the Knight of the Wind in the past, this speedy hedgehog grew to take over the kingdom in a long, treacherous journey that involved various risks. Seeing his potential and bravery to fight for an unknown land, Caliburn - now Excalibur - had decided to grant him the title of King. However, nothing can keep this hedgehog in one spot for long, so he's unable to run his kingdom properly. Although he is the true King, Merlina manages everything he can't.
Merlina
The "co-ruler" of Camelot. Once a tyrant obsessed with the idea of immortality, she now spends her days rebuilding the kingdom that she almost destroyed. She makes decisions for the kingdom in King Arthur's absence and takes charge of the Knights of the Round Table. Merlina wishes to become the best mage in the world to protect her newfound kingdom from harm, and she will stop at nothing to do so.
Sir Lancelot / Shadow
The first Knight of the Round Table. He was the first knight that King Arthur faced, and perhaps even his most loyal follower. Sir Lancelot fights beside him chivalrously, ensuring that his King is not hurt in any way, shape or form. After Arthur's unfortunate departure, he finds himself introverted - perhaps longing for the battles he used to have. He takes it upon himself to fight for the kingdom, even if Arthur isn't around.
Sir Gawain / Knuckles
WIP
Sir Percival / Blaze
WIP
Sir Galahad / Silver
WIP
Sir Lamorak / Jet
WIP
Lady of the Lake | Nimue / Amy
A water deity residing in the Deep Woods, the adoptive mother of Sir Lancelot and Exalibur's original owner, Nimue has a lot of things going for her. She often guides newcomers, the Knights of the Round Table or even King Arthur himself with her words of wisdom, preferring that to the gruesome battles the others face. However, she is not unwilling to use her magic to protect the ones she loves.
Griffin / Tails
The townspeople's blacksmith. Although he's rather young and scrawny, Griffin has been known to be able to fix anything brought into his shop which often comes in handy when the Knights of the Round Table need it. He's known to have certain complex inferiority issues, though all that is pushed aside when he looks at his weapons and armor in action.
Orella / Rouge
A winemaker and a collector of fine jewels and rarities. She's independent, rather bossy, and knows just how to sweeten people over with only a few words and a certain look. She runs the largest wine business in Camelot and gets intel from every place on the map. Perhaps she'll share it with you... if you give her something in return.
Adelaide / Cream
A lonesome child wandering through the forest in search of her mother who she only has memories of. She's a master of the wilderness, knowing which berries are poisonous, knowing which plants you cannot touch under any circumstances, and she even knows how to survive on her own all at the tender age of six. There is also a secret she hides deep within her - one that she must not let anyone see, lest someone abuse it.
Raziel / Espio
Being a scribe and a poet isn't easy, especially when witnessing the downfall of both King Arthur and the Dark Queen. He has information about everything - whether it be the sacred legends of time, or even just about any place on the map. Any practical information he has, he's willing to share with anyone he deems acceptable and worthy. But if you also wanna listen to his poems too, that's acceptable.
Kazamir / Metal Sonic
An underling created by Mordred to keep the knights at bay. He was created with the speed and dexterity of Arthur, and to the naked eye, the two could even be mistaken as twins. It's only when they look up close do they realize that he's completely made out of painted metal - and remnants of dark magic.
Mordred
An ancient spirit set from decades ago, desperate to rule the kingdom that was selfishly taken from him by the original King Arthur. A master of dark magic, manipulation, and someone with a whole army by his side, he will stop at nothing to take back the kingdom that was rightfully his.

uhhh another one cause im brainrotting
Isekai Imagine: Arthur Pendragon (King Of Chaos; 4 Knights Of Apocalypse era)
this one goes out to all the bitches who got salty about the absolute whiplash slap of a character change in our boy
(its me, im bitches)
👏Second 👏verse, 👏same 👏as the 👏first!👏
You wake up in a big fancy ornate room and find that you've somehow body swapped with some wildly beautiful woman, though you only see her visage in reflections and yourself when looking at yourself.
As you're attempting to take in your surroundings, you hear a banging at the massive ornate door leading into the room.
"Princess you must escape, hurry! He'll be here any moment!" The person on the other side calls and, in your panic, you snatch up one of the ornate swords from the wall.
Their scream is cut short as the door is flung open.
The two men at the door are familiar enough that you feel the blood drain from your face.
Chaos Knight Ironside holds someone- presumably the person who'd been trying to warn you- by their throat as some indescribable horror magic warps them.
Your breath is stolen from your very lungs as a man with wild orange hair and purple eyes enters your room.
The King of Chaos himself smiles at you and bows at you. "Greetings, Princess. I apologize for the commotion." He acts as if he was telling you about the traffic on the way here, but the blood on his cape and shoes have you raising your sword.
("if it were me" moment but)
panicking from the impossible situation, you cant help becoming a bit delirious
"Now, Princess-"
"NO, you stay- haha- stay right the fuck there!" You point the sword directly at the King who holds up one hand, looking surprised.
"Excuse you, how dare you speak to-"
"SHUT THE FUCK UP IRONSIDE, YOU CRUSTY ASS BITCH!" The man physically flinches, eyes wide with anger but Arthur motions for him to back down.
"Now Princess, let's-"
"QUIT CALLING ME THAT, I don't know what the fuck is happening or why the fuck I'm- *wheeze*- who the hell I am! But you- hahhh- do not come any ffffUCKING CLOSER!"
His gaze hardens and he frowns. "You need to calm down, I don't wish to harm you-"
"Oh but the blatant MURDER of assumedly everyone in this CASTLE is fuckin' FINE, IZZATIT?!"
You laugh, breathless and dizzy with fear and confusion, stumbling back from the door. Your body is shaking, but whether its from the adrenaline or panic is hard to say.
You back right out to a balcony and stop with your back against the railing.
Arthur tenses as you start to climb back onto the railing.
"This is some- fuck- this is just some crazy fuckin dream! And I- haha- I am not FUCKIN with this anymore."
And you fall
A giant hand made of stone rips from the side of the wall to catch you and as you lay there, dazed and lightheaded, Arthur appears over the railing with a relieved sigh.
When you wake up again, you're in a different ornate bedroom but there are no windows or even a door
As you get up, a door appears from the wall and someone enters the room.
"Oh hell no, what the fuck is this"
"You speak quite crassly for a princess."
Arthur motherfuckin Pendragon has the gall to bring his bitchass in the room and give you this gentle amused look
"i... no. I have not been awake long enough to fuck with this." And back under the covers
"Not even curious as to where you are?"
"just woke up dude. im not even a person for another hour"
the door shuts but you have the very distinct feeling of not being alone in the room
You roll over and stare at the man who's pulled a chair from thin air or some shit and is simply waiting
"You really gonna do this? Just sit here?"
"I'm curious about what you said before. Whatever made you think that was a dream, let alone how it seems you knew my Knight by name."
You sit up and you can't help but glare even as he laughs.
"You's a whole bitch."
"You are quite the interesting person." He leans forward, crossing one leg over the other as he smiles at you.
"Yeah, I wonder why."
"Do you know why I came to your kingdom?"
"Not a clue."
He holds out his hand to you. "I've been on the search for a bride to stabilize my rule. Though, after that little stunt you pulled, I didn't think you would be safe in that place."
"You mean you kidnapped me."
"You fell from a balcony on the fifth floor. Was only right I make sure you receive medical care from trusted aides."
"And this plays into your search for someone dumb enough to marry your tyrant ass?"
"Tyrant is rather cruel." You can see his jaw clench and his hand tense. If this is a dream, this is satisfying as fuck. If it's not.
Fuck it. When are you gonna get the chance to tell off one of your favorite characters for being an asshole?
"What the fuck else am I suppose to call the jackass who thinks kidnapping people and who knows how much fuckin murder you've done? And I'm sure you've done a million other fucked up things by this point"
Oh he looks about one wrong move from yeeting you into the afterlife and for a second -just a second- you consider toeing that line
just one more
he throws his head back and bursts into laughter
"Oh, I'm going to enjoy getting to know you, dear."
And he gets up, that chair vanishing
"Wha-excuse me?! the fuck does that- don't walk away from me!" But he goes, out the way he came and the door vanishes behind him, leaving alone in the room once more

It happened during a knighting ceremony of all places.
Sir Chester finally lasted longer than a minute in combat with the King, it was time to bring him into the fold.
It was all going rather smoothly. That is, until a witch appeared seemingly out of thin air, and lingered only long enough to aim a razor sharp dagger at the King’s heart.
It may have only been seconds. But that was as long as Merlin’s instincts ever took to kick in.
Unfortunately, Merlin did not, for the first time in his life, consider the repercussions of using magic before actually doing it. Maybe because it had been a while since Arthur was in the up-close-and-personal kind of danger, maybe because Merlin was caught off guard, the one time he sets his weight back on his heels to just take a breath, exist, and this happens.
The witches body slammed against the wall behind the king and fell to the ground, lifeless.
Just as the ‘thud’ sounded across the throne room, so did the sound of Excalibur leaving it’s sheath.
Merlin saw it coming, because he never took his eyes off Arthur.
Arthur was approaching slowly, with his sword pointed as far as it would go away from his body. An attachment to his arm, another limb, as it always had been. Merlin braced for what was coming.
What he didn’t expect was Leon of all people, alongside Lancelot, stepping between Merlin and the King of Camelot.
The sorcerer was stunned.
So, it seemed, was the King.
He narrowed his eyes at two of his most trusted knights, sword never wavering in it’s place, pointed directly at Merlin, still.
“You would choose Merlin over your sovereign?” Frustration was present in his tone but it gave no indication of what Arthur wanted the answer to be.
So, instead, Leon told the King the truth.
“No, sire. We would choose Merlin because you are our sovereign.” Arthur was taken more aback at that. “If we allowed any harm to befall Merlin, even by your own hand, you would never forgive us, Arthur.”
At once, Arthur knew Leon was right.
The fight left his body and the King’s sword, maybe for the first time in his life, fell from his weak grasp. Hitting the stone floor with a deafening clang.
“Everyone out.” Arthur finally said to the room at large. “Everyone but Leon and Lancelot, out.”
Arthur caught Merlin’s eye, his manservant already knew that he was expected to stay, as well. It would likely be his official trial.
Maybe Leon and Merlin both knew that Arthur would not harm his friend, but he was still the King and often felt he had to uphold the law regardless.
The rest of the knights that were in attendance for the ceremony began shuffling out of the throne room. Once again, Arthur’s voice rang out, halting them momentarily.
“If I hear a single word about what happened here today, trust that I will find its source.”
None of them trusted themselves enough to speak, they simply nodded and bowed before finally taking their leave.
When the door closed behind them, Arthur visibly deflated even further. The King slipping out of his shoulders, it was just Arthur.
Merlin braced himself for the bite. The other shoe to drop.
Finally his voice came, quiet and carefully balanced.
“I assume Lancelot knew.”
“Only because he was close enough to see it for himself, I never told him.” Merlin answered, trying to make Arthur understand just how badly Merlin had always wanted him to know.
“So then, why…”
Merlin took a chance and stepped forward. Toward Arthur, away from the sanctuary of Leon and Lancelot’s protection.
“Think of all that’s happened. Even from that first day. Vengeful witches and beasts of all natures. Love spells and bandits and horrible, corrupt rulers. When would’ve been a good time to explain that not all of us are trying to kill you? That I would never-“ Merlin cut himself off, he was going off in the wrong direction.
“When Morgana ran with Morgause, I knew that I may never be able to tell you. The betrayal would’ve been too much. When the lady returned, sought our help, I held out hope that maybe you could open your heart to magic, and you did. I’ve never been more proud.” A very long pause. No one moves a muscle. “Then, your father fell ill. I knew, almost immediately that it was Morgause taking her revenge. For the death of her parents but also for ‘stealing’ the one thing she truly cared about in all this world: her sister. There was nothing I could do. Everything I’ve kept you apart from, every time death has ever grazed just past you, that, losing your father, was the one fate I wanted to save you from, more than any of it.” Merlin was staring directly into Arthur’s unflinching blue eyes, the way they always have. Saying everything without saying anything. But Merlin decided, before he dies, he would like to say it.
The newly outed sorcerer fell to his knees, nearly putting his forehead to the floor at his King’s feet.
“I am so sorry I could not save him, sire.” It was nearly a whisper but in the silence, it was blaring. “I tried.” He choked out. “I tried everything I knew to do and nothing worked. I’m so sorry.”
It was quiet for a long time. Merlin didn’t dare to look up. Keeping his blurred gaze on Arthur’s boots. Thinking of how he may never get to wash them again.
Suddenly, movement was heard behind him.
Merlin’s first assumption was that the knights were finally coming to their dutiful senses and hauling him to the dungeons. But the sound of rustling armor didn’t get any closer. In fact, it got further away.
When Merlin finally tore his gaze away, he found both knights leaving. Not sparing a glance backward.
Had Arthur given them permission to leave? The manservant never heard him say a word.
“Merlin. Please, stand up.”
Arthur never said please. Not if he wasn’t dying.
Merlin stood without thinking, meeting those startling eyes, once more.
The King whispered, as if reassuring a child,
“It is not…your fault.”
Merlin almost fell again, out of sheer relief, this time. Relief and heartache and grieving for the years of his life he’d spent hiding from the one person in the world he never wanted to hide from.
“If you truly did everything you could, then it was…it was his time, Merlin.” Merlin could almost laugh at Arthur Pendragon explaining death to him. “Even if you had not tried, I would understand. Not only was my father murdering your people for decades but he probably would’ve put you on the pyre himself, had you succeeded in saving him.” Merlin saw the way shame drained the color from Arthur’s face and hollowed his eyes. He would carry this the rest of his life. “Merlin, I am sorry. For all he did, and every part I have ever played in it. And I apologize for-“ His eyes dropped away, to the ground, to the doors, Merlin finally realized he was trying not to cry. “I apologize for drawing my sword. Even if circumstances were different, and you were not my manservant, you did nothing to threaten me. It was-“
“Arthur.” Merlin cut him off, feeling his feet begin to solidify under him again. “For someone who grew up here, with the lessons you were taught, it was a completely reasonable instinct.”
“All this time you’ve been…” he trailed off, seemingly replaying memories behind his glazing eyes. “You’ve been protecting me.”
“I am trying my best. You don’t make it easy.”
A smile appeared on Arthur’s face for the first time since Merlin’s eyes turned gold. And Merlin wanted to cry. But he would not. Not in front of his King.
