Back in 2023, you tweeted out a short review of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, noting that the film failed to make Bowser and Luigi charismatic. I don’t need to be told how Bowser failed to be charismatic in the film or why he’s charismatic in other Mario media, but I wonder why you included Luigi in that statement. What makes Luigi charismatic?
Mario and Luigi are guys who do things. But Mario is the basic hero with no twists. He just does things with apparent ease. Luigi doesn't have it so easy. He's just as competent if not more, but he's constantly afraid, hesitant, and underappreciated. For Luigi, doing things is a challenge, and one without a guaranteed reward, so there's inherently more catharsis to Luigi's successes. If you get the base appeal of Usopp, you should get the base appeal of Luigi too.

i think we as a society have progressed past the need for every major game to have ultraphotorealistic groundbreaking graphics that only overnext generation graphics cards and consoles can properly handle

Well obviously I can’t have chronic fatigue, that’s a real problem for real disabled people that’s diagnosed by doctors probably. Clearly I just have some sort of perpetual exhaustion issue, that is also almost certainly my fault somehow

nothing had ever truly convinced me that there are actual fully bodily abled people out there in the world, until i read cleaning advice subreddits and blog posts. like, what do you mean you clean the shower and toilet every week. what do you mean you scrub the floor out of habit instead of mopping. how are you able to bend over for more than 10 minutes at a time. do your back and leg and arm muscles just not give out or cramp at all while doing these things. does it not take days for your joints to recover back to normal functioning. like holy shit im actually far closer to a disabled person than i am to any of these kinds of people

Two days remain until the end of this year, and we are getting very close to achieving our short-term goal of €70,000 before the year ends. Only €2,119 is left to reach €70,000.
Therefore, I kindly ask you, my friends, to donate even €5, as every contribution counts.
This is little Eman – can you offer her a gift for Christmas?

i think about this article more often then i would like to admit. they're talking about murdering a child in a tone one would probably talk about the weather.
palestinian children dream about not having to hear bombs and living in peace and going to school and playing with their friends and being able to grow up.
they've killed so many children in the last 14 months. so many families have been torn apart, so many dreams shattered, yet people are moving on.
how does one move on from what the occupation is doing in gaza? how does one move on from the genocide that is being paid for by our governments using our tax money?
please, i request you to donate to alaa, a mother of two young children. she lives in gaza with her family in a tent which does not offer much protection from the cold. she needs to buy firewood to keep her family warm.
verification by 90-ghost and the butterfly effect project #307
please donate here to help this family
