If you have a recording software (i use nvidias recording software with frans boumas camera mod for any slowmo stuff) and a phone/tablet its quite easy to gif!

record & clip your game > move to phone/tablet > make gifs with the giphy app

The most tedious part for me is going back into photoshop with the gif and sharpening every frame - idk if theres a newer/better way to do this lol

i really loved timestalker. i don’t think i’ve ever heard the word brainrot in a movie before. also i don’t know if i’ve seen a depiction of parasocial brainrot quite like that before (i haven’t seen that audrey tautou one since i was a kid but i still think about it all the time)

i was watching it thinking “mm the way this is using the analogy of a parasocial relationship to explore like, obsession and identity and….. no wait i think it’s actually sincerely about a parasocial relationship?” like it’s about lots of things, and allegorical, but it’s also literally about fandom. the reincarnation stuff turns out to be sort-of ancillary to a story about an obsessive fan. and it nails that experience, for me anyway (<- red flag). lmao there’s a scene where she’s standing on the street outside his room with some other screaming fans and i said oh i’ve met those girls 💀 they are delusional whereas i… i mean alice lowe’s character… is right and not delusional at all

(tbc i joke about being mentally ill on here because i very genuinely do have something wrong with me and i'm hoping a passing doctor will identify it and tell me what it is)

anyway it's also super funny. nick frost is really good in an unflattering role. and i’m glad i forgot wozniak was in it so he could surprise me 🥰 it also slightly made me want to rewatch cloud atlas. i'm going to try & screen record it before my rental expires bc it's currently unpirateable but i'm hesitant to share it purely bc some fans of the gay vampire show (a show i like v much tbc) are soooo annoying i would hate to do them any favours. i might make some gifs if i get time

HIYA! Sorry I'm just getting around to this! 1. AWWWW. I'm grateful for you too! And honestly, the stuff I'm doing with my writing now is the stuff I've always dreamed of doing. My first fanfic was written all the way back in 1999, but my first ever original stories were written back when I was in I think third grade. I remember we were all given these hardback, blank books that we were supposed to create storybooks in. The idea was you drew pictures and added words to them, but my response was to take the book and start writing nothing but words, until the book was filled, and then I still wasn't finished. I don't believe I got the best grade on that assignment, mainly because you were SUPPOSED to have pictures in it, but the teacher was impressed that my little 3rd grade self tried to literally write an entire book freehand for an assignment... and then asked if he could keep it. (I said sure.) I then would go on to be put in a 7th grade creative writing class where you were supposed to write stories, either real or fictional, in a journal every week. There was a set amount of pages for every story.

My response was to write the few pages we were given, then write the rest of the stories on notebook pages and staple them into the journals. So I dunno. I guess what I'm saying is that if I have a knack for writing, it's probably because I've been writing, either creatively on my own or for various school assignments, pretty much since the point that I learned my ABCs. So really, uh... practice makes perfect?

2. You know, I don't make gifs very often, but I try my best. I don't have a gifmaking program though, so all my gifs are made by editing the raw video with VEGAS, then putting it through an online converter. It's not the best method, but I'm not paying for Photoshop. Anyway, million billion hugs, and sorry for taking so long on this!
