Thank you so much for your answer earlier. It was, in a way, a confirmation and affirmation that I already am doing all I can. I have been having these difficult conversations with Gif for months now, doing my hardest to approach them with a non-confrontational conversation style, which can be hard sometimes when my feelings are hurt, too. Yet it doesn't seem to give enough progress, at least, not to me.

Gif's chosen mother is terminally ill, which, of course, comes with the necessary mental health complications. I feel horrible even considering breaking up with her at this point of her life, but I can not shake the feeling that more and more I am running out of energy to give her. I feel myself growing increasingly numb to her tantrums and dreading spending time with her. I feel as though I have become a carer rather than a partner.

Moreover, I feel like a terrible and selfish person due to me having been in a similar situation with Lit. Lit is disabled and was on a waiting list for their healthcare for over 3 years, and entirely dependent on me to provide that care for them in the meantime. It feels skewed to me that I was willing to give them that back then (7 years ago or so), while now refusing to give the same to Gif.

I don't want to be a carer, I want to be partners. I want to be wanted, not needed. I'm feeling so torn on what to do, but the truth is, I have been feeling unhappy in this relationship for a while now.

What do you think? Is this just a tough time in a relationship? Is it worth sitting out and grinding my teeth while I hope it gets better?

I'm not gonna comment on whether you should break up with someone. That's a you thing. I cannot possibly know enough of your circumstances to comment, even with having exchanged a few asks now.

But I will say in Gif's defense "my newish partner chose a time when my mom was dying to go shopping for another partner" does not make you look all that great, friend.

Idk if that's even what happened! Maybe mom's been dying this entire time, maybe you weren't "looking" for Newsboy and it just kinda happened, maybe a lot of things. But if what I said is true, or if that's how Gif perceives things, I'd have a very hard time being chill with that too.

It's very upsetting to see that the company did not even try to protect him from the start. His privacy got invaded yet SM didn't even do something about it letting him carry those burdens (made by the company and those so called 'fans'). I just feel so sad that his dreams got taken away from him just because he had life, and what makes me more sad is his love for the members. I can't imagine the horror for him in the past 2 days, and again, SM DIDN'T GIVE A SINGLE FUCK. I really can't explain nor express what I feel right now. It's also a shame to be a kbriize right now (I am Korean sadly), I feel like I'll live with this shame forever but I'll always be grateful that I fought for him along with the members and fellow OT7s. I'm so sorry, Seunghan, you deserved better.
