the 16 coasters I finished in december, in non-chronological order:

WOO I'M DONE!!!! All of these are referenced from photos I took of things that brought some joy to my life, from landscapes to various treats to some creatures.
I'm glad I did this challenge and stuck to it, even though I did a smaller version (16 coasters, not 31) - I've never had luck with doing an art challenge for a full month, and it would've been too much to keep up with. That being said: I absolutely could not have done these 16 coasters if it wasn't for the holiday break. I only did 5 of these before my break started on Dec 21, and then had to do one a day to catch up. Mad props to anyone who does daily creative challenges while working fulltime!!
It was def difficult to a) use the same medium & format and b) create a finished piece every day; I feel like I got more familiar with my materials, but also with the "work" part of "artwork". I didn't always want to go paint; I wasn't always 100% happy with the result; but I sat down & did the work to the best of my ability in that moment & then I moved on. <- not entirely healthy; I want to play & experiment more without the pressure of sticking to a cohesive style & medium; but it was good as a short-term exercise.
