You know what's interesting about So High School? It has all these callbacks to songs that contradict the idea of Travlor as something wants. It's like she's planting subliminal messages in the minds of fans, so they go back and listen to older tracks that will then make them uneasy about 🚜, by highlighting how opposed this relationship is to what she wanted in the past.

The music and the lyric about "a wrinkle in time" both evoke Hits Different - a song which talks about switching out Kens, and an "argumentative antithetical dream girl" who may not be Taylor herself, and, oh, has the immortal line "I slur your name til someone puts me in a car / KAR"

This echoes Gold Rush.

"You already know babe" evokes I Think He Knows. A song that talks about footprints in the sidewalk (iconic Kaylore) but even from a Hetlor perspective reminds them Travis is not Taylor's type. "He's got that boyish look that I like in a man" hmmmm

"I feel so high school every time I look at you" I can't explain what I'm picking up on here, but something in the music, as well as the lyrics, calls back to Fifteen. A song that talks about starting high school, and being too naive to know there were bigger achievements in life than dating the guy on the football team. Feeling "so high school" is not a positive association here. The message is doubled down on with "bittersweet sixteen". If this song is about how great their relationship is, why is she telling you she's not happy? What is the "bitter" that's mixed with the sweet here?

"But look at you" - this calls back to Gorgeous. "But look at your face". Gorgeous is another song obviously about Karlie, where a lyric was also changed from "I'm so curious". Because that was too loud. In fact, the whole song is about Taylor obsessing over this incredibly gorgeous love interest, while disinterested in what her supposed "boyfriend" is doing. The boyfriend being Calvin Harris, who was pretty similar to Travis, wasn't he? More red flags for the Hetlors

"Tell me about the first time you saw me" calls back to Mastermind's "And the first night that you saw me" which . . . I mean, do I even need to explain how incredibly Kaylore coded that entire song is? Probably not. But also, let's just enjoy the contrast, shall we? This song about a grown woman who calls the shots in her own love life and is proactive, vs the Taylor who is depicted in So High School, who is just reacting and giving in to everything this meathead guy does, or else waiting for him to notice her. We're actively told they're not on the same level intellectually ("you know how to ball, I know Aristotle") vs the love interest in Mastermind, who was on her level ("you knew the entire time"). How do Swifties mesh these two Taylors in their heads? How do they not see regression here? It baffles me.

These probably aren't even all the connections pinging back to songs that poke holes in the Travlor narrative. SHS is a bop, but seriously. June 📿 2024 Monthly - Cancer

Preshuffle: You’re going back and forth on a decision, weighing the pros and cons of whether you want to let something go, or maybe spend a lot of money on a purchase. Dancin’ Daisy represents a new phase in life, the acceleration of all the events that happen. Daisy says “Come to me and jump beyond what you believe, into a new possibility.” It tells you take action where you may not have previously. Daisy is the life energy, she is connected to enthusiasm. Dancin’ Daisy is physical expansion and embodies in physical form the example we all seem. She represents a joyous time for you, a move, a job, or another significant change, such as a marriage. This also signifies taking a risk that will work with faith and trust. This is the moment after the leap, when you cannot see where you will land. The Daisy is reassurance that you will land on your feet, so keep the faith.

Daisy also represents radiant health. Spirit can only manifest through us if we honor the physical body we inhabit. This may mean that you need to adopt a good physical fitness regiment. Your will to heal yourself is great. If a man is attracted to this fable the indication is strong that he is pulling a new partner into his life. Around 7pm:

It was the evening after Louisiana and Florida came home from Mardi Gras. He was sitting in the living room with Mississippi, Texas, Massachusetts, New York, Kentucky, Georgia, Gov (who they managed to drag out of his office),and a few other states (ofc Florida too), and telling them how much fun him and Florida had and the pretty costumes they saw and much much more. Mass was clinging to him after having not seen him in a while and was basically half-asleep, and Florida was next to him with an arm around his shoulder. Overall, it was very peaceful. For now anyways.

"Yea we had a sh*t TON of fun!!" Loui said enthusiastically with a happy glint in his eye that melted the hearts of each state present.

"Like ya do every year?" Texas said with a slight chuckle. And it was true, Loui and Florida, along with anybody that decided to tag along for fun, had a lot of fun every single year, and Loui was always excited to tell them about the pretty costumes and cool people they met.

"Well yea, dat’s fair sha." Loui agreed with a giggle.

"Woulda been better if Mardi Gras were kept in Mobile where it started." All the attention turned to Alabama, who had just walked in with a can of beer in hand a teasing smirk on his face.

"Welp... c'est reparti.…(Welp… here we go again….)" Loui mumbled under his breath as he took a sip of his daiquiri and prepared himself to deal with Bama’s bullsh*t.

"What was that? Couldn’t quite understand ya, maybe try speakin’ up a lil’." Bama said with a smirk.

"Look, if all ya came to bother me about is Mardi Gras, then don’t bother wastin’ ya d*mn time cuz’ I really couldn’t give a fiddler’s flying f(speaks New Orleans) what ya think." Loui said with a bit of a growl to his voice, which made Mass get off of him just to be safe.

"Also came to brag about the fact that once again, the Crimson Tide beat yer team once again." Jeered the Yellowhammer State.

"And again I shall tell you that I don’t give a f(speaks New Orleans). Now, Va-t'en, parce que je n'ai pas envie de traiter avec toi. (go away, cuz I don’t feel like dealing with you.)"

"What was that? Maybe try speakin’ English for once and maybe we’ll understand ya better. With how much you speak French, we might as well’ve let the French keep ya." Loui felt something inside him snap a bit.

"Ok- can ya seriously shut the actual F(SPEAKS NEW ORLEANS) up?!" Shouted the Pelican State with a dangerous glint in his eyes.

"Exactly Bama’, you’re goin’ a lil’ too far-" Texas calmly started to say, only to get cut off by Louisiana.

"Texas, I love ya sha, but please stay out of this." Loui said sternly, smiling when Texas nodded. "Now Alabama, I will say once again, I don’t give a f(speaks New Orleans) about what you think, and go away if you’re just gonna be here to tease me about stupid sh*t.

Alabama chuckled a bit before saying, "Make me."

"I will." answered the Pelican State with a deep glare. He had fully turned around now, and his eyes were starting to glow an orange-ish-red color just ever so slightly. If Bama knew any better, he would take this as a sign to f*ck off, but he just had to keep running his mouth.

"How? Ya gonna fight me or somethin’? I could fold you like a d*mn lawn chair. Ya wouldn’t stand a chance." Alabama stated proudly.

Loui just rolled his eyes with a small scoff.

"I’m serious! Wanna test it out?!" ask-shouted the Yellowhammer State

"Not really…."

"What’s the matter?~ Are ya too much of coward?"

"Y’know what? I ain’t got nothin’ better to do, so why not." Loui said with a sigh as he stood up and glared at the taller, stronger-looking state.

"Loui no!! You can seriously get hurt, I’m not letting you fight anybody." Florida said with panic kinda evident in his voice as he stood up and gently cupping the smaller’s face with one hand.

Loui leaned into the Florida’s hand a bit. "I’ll be fine Flo, don’t worry."

~once all the states (-Loui and Bama) exited the living room and went to watch from the dining room/kitchen (sh*tty fight scene coming up)~

Alabama and Loui stood face to face for at least a minute before the taller ran at Loui and punched him hard in the stomach, making Loui cough and double over in pain with a small whimper. Once Loui regained focus, he grabbed Bama by the shirt, pulled him closer to himself, and slapped him across the face before throwing him. The Pelican State smirked at his opponent’s slightly shocked expression but quickly dropped it when Bama suddenly tackled him out of nowhere, and crying out slightly when he hit the ground.

The two states wrestled around the ground for a few minutes until Loui somehow managed to get on top of Alabama’s back and trap him almost a bear/choke hold (one that Texas had most likely taught him), not letting go even as Bama got into a standing position. Loui managed to hang on to the taller and even kick him in the back a few times. Unfortunately, he ended up letting go when Bama through him over the couch, making him hit the small table that was in living room, fall off of it, and land hard on the carpet with a slight whimper. The thing is, he didn’t get back up after that, he just laid there in between the couch and table, panting, disoriented, and on the verge of unconsciousness. And Bama was walking around to the other side of the couch to finish the fight.

"Alabama stop!!" Gov said, running over and grabbing Bama in a bear hug, effectively stopping him from going to hurt Louisiana any further.

"Git off of me!!" Said the Yellowhammer State, elbowing the taller in the ribs.

"No!! That is enou-" Gov started to shout, but got cut off when something heavy hit him in the head, knocking him out.

Alabama looked down at the ground where Gov had fallen and saw a rather large encyclopedia laying next to the government personification. He then, along with the other states, looked at Louisiana, who had sat up slightly and was shaking like a leaf on a windy day. His eyes were both glowing brightly, one green and the other red, meaning that he was both REALLY scared and REALLY mad.

"F*ck f*ck f*ck f*ck…." Loui mumbled under his breath shakily. He sat up the rest of the way, and with a bright flash was instantly at Gov’s side, shaking his shoulder and trying to get him to come to. Eventually, Gov came to and sat up with Loui’s help.

"Wha-what the he// happened….?" Mumbled Gov, confused and rubbed the side of his head where the book had hit him.

"Omg I’m so sorry, im so sorry that b-book wasn’t m-meant for you it was meant for Alabama- I-I-I didn’t mean t-to-" Loui said with a panicked tone of voice as he wrapped his arms around Gov in relief. His eyes were now both glowing green.

"Shh shh shh you’re alright, Louisiana. You didn’t mean to. I’m fine, see? Just a small bruise, not that big of a deal." Gov said comfortingly, putting a hand on Louisiana’s shoulder.

"A-a-are you sure?! T-that was a r-r-really hard hit a-a-and you could’ve died and and-" Loui exclaimed, still panicking and hyperventilating.

"Louisiana."

"Y-y-yea?"

Gov sighed and took Loui’s hand in his own. "Look, I’m ok, I didn’t die, there’s not even a lot of damage, it’s not your fault that the book hit me instead of Alabama. And it’s not your fault that he started a fight. Ok?" Gov said with comforting tone of voice as he gently rubbed his thumb over the back of Loui’s hand, which just the touch alone (not just the small bit of calming magic he was using) seemed to calm down the Pelican State.

"O-ok…." Loui said a small smile. He leaned into Gov’s hand when Gov ruffled his hair a bit.

"Now you may want to go get Mass or Texas to patch you up." Said Gov as he stood up and gestured to Loui’s bleeding lip and nose, few small cuts, and the bruise forming along his shoulder/arm. He offered Loui a hand (which he took) before starting his way to the coffee maker.

Georgia, Florida, Mass, and Texas walked over to the living room where Loui and Alabama were glaring at each other from a reasonable distance. Georgia grabbed Bama by the arm and dragged him off like a misbehaving child to have a talk with him, and Florida was fussing over Loui (of course) while Mass and Texas looked him over. All the other states had gone back to their rooms after the fight ended.

"Well nothin’s broken, so that’s good I guess." Mass said, handing Loui a piece of gauze and a tissue for his lip and nose.

"I have to say, I thought ya put up a pretty good fight!! And nice job with that hold I taught ya." Texas said, patting Loui on the back a bit and ruffling his hair.

"B*tch you sure about dat- even though I got tossed like a ragdoll with broken limbs?" Loui said, hugging Florida back when he engulfed the smaller.

"Yes even though ya got tossed like a ragdoll with broken limbs." Texas said, rolling his eyes fondly with a laugh.

"*el gasp* We should have a movie night!!" Florida said with a mischievous glint in his eye. "And Oi Fed!! Get your *$$ over here, cuz you’re joining us whether you like it or not."

Gov reluctantly let himself be pulled into the living room by the Sunshine State.

Soon after the movie started, they all fell asleep peacefully, with Texas on the right, Florida on the left, and Gov’ sandwiched in the middle. Loui had fallen asleep with his head on Florida’s lap and Mass was being little spooned by the Pelican State. They all had good dreams that night, thanks to Loui’s magic. And once again, Rhodey got some more blackmail >:)

It's been a few days since I've slid into your inbox which, realistically, is way too long so I grant you with Miko x Evren hcs bc of my brainrot:

Soo after playing a football match abroad, I see Miko coming home and Evren’s there to pick her up from the airport with the biggest grin on his face and he’d have handmade banners and everything like this - x

I imagine Ev casually asking Miko, “do you want to be in my next music video, babe?” Shooting music videos have always made him anxious, so if Miko said yes and came on set then it’d be so comforting for him and everyone would realise how Miko’s presence positively affects him.

I hc that Ev’s really close with their band that they tour with, and they know about him and Miko and I imagine one of Ev’s band mates texting her about Ev like:

I think it’d be a regular thing where Evren would ask Miko what music she’s listening to and asks her to send him a playlist. Ev doesn’t really listen to their own music, so he’d enjoy jamming to and knowing what Miko listens to and then he’d jokingly text ‘so this is why you don’t listen to my fucking music xx’

I’d think that the first time Miko speaks to Ev’s mum, Rosalie, would be over the phone. Miko would go “baby, your phone’s ringing” but Evren’s busy and would say “you can answer it, love” and then it ends up being Rosalie on FaceTime and she and Miko end up having small talk whilst they’re waiting for Evren and then Rosalie would say “I can see why he likes you so much, you’re gorgeous”—which is so Evren-coded so now we know where he gets it from.

^ Evren usually talks to their mom in French and/or English, and then Spanish/English with Javier so I’m curious to know what Miko thinks about her boyfriend knowing more than one language fluently.

Oo, I think you mentioned and/or it was on your Pinterest that Miko and Ev would be the couple to have at home fashion shows when Miko orders lots of clothes and I imagine her trying something on and saying “how do I look?” and I see Ev having shimmering eyes and being so in awe of her and saying “you look beautiful, absolutely stunning.”
