Dear Briar, does your partner also have their own pokemon to call their loyal companions? Do they battle with them? Have the two of you ever battled and was it friendly or not?

Oh, she does! A couple of them came from Kalos with her, she used to care for smaller ones like her Fletchinder and Tailow, but she ended up keeping them!

She doesn’t battle much, like I said! Most of her team are practically hatchlings, but she also has some tougher companions like a Skarmory and a scrappy little Dewott!

Don’t apologize for the battle questions, though! I… Don’t have any Pokémon of my own, actually, but I get along with Lucy’s just fine, almost enough to call them my own.

Although- She did inform me that she thought she saw an oddly colored Swablu during one of our walks in the Terarium, maybe I’ll find a Pokémon partner soon enough!

Brainstorm made rapid decisions, and had not formerly needed encouragement to voice them, but that had been millions of stellar cycles ago. “I would appreciate promptness in your rejection.”

“Who said anything about rejecting?” Brainstorm tipped his head to the side. “I’m just trying to make sure I’ve got this straight in my processor. You performed ethically dubious, untested, methodologically uncertain engineering on yourself. Because you missed me.”

Perceptor deleted all of his emotions for a reason. After the Quintesson threat leads Optimus Prime to push through the Autobot-Decepticon Alliance, that reason no longer applies. Fixing the situation is going to take some trial and error...and a self-proclaimed genius.

Summary: Preceptor takes a job in Iacon without reading the fine print. He very much regrets this.

Brainstorm has a large decision to make- expose himself and thousands of others and solve the fuel crisis or stay chained to a lab desk for the rest of his functioning. But Brianstrom Has always been good at creative solutions; Much to Perceprtor's dismay.

Perceptor is determined to study and cure the disease with Brainstorm none the wiser. Unfortunately, feelings have never been his area of expertise.

Brainstorm tried his best to keep heat from rising to his cheeks, especially as Perceptor cutely tilted his head and quirked a brow. “What…exactly are you doing?”

Fragging myself for science, Brainstorm thought. “Building spike and array mods for the crew, by request,” he said instead.

As an MTO, Brainstorm wasn't constructed with an array. In a fit of inspiration after a Perceptor-fueled recharge flux, he decides to fix this. Perceptor probes at his experiment, and Brainstorm finds answers to questions he hadn't even thought to ask.

"Nice and Inaccurate" is my new series of works in which all spoken dialogue must be Nice (precise) quotes from the show. Anything & everything else is Inaccurate to the show. (Character speaking, setting, situation, etc.) Right now I have a collection of poems, but in the near future will add stories. I have a WIP I'm working on that's set in a science classroom, naturally. 🤓🥼🔬

I am sooo happy to participate in my first "monthly" drawing challence, which is Funguary, created by the incredible @feefal !! 💕 I'm doing the chill version with just one drawing a week (thanks for encouraging that btw TvT) 😌

The inspo for this one was the microscopic appearance of Penicillium notatum, the species that led to the discovery of penicillin 🔬

Since I work in healthcare, this prompt really inspired me, and reminded me of my student days !! 😸

Prompt.

1. things you said at 1 am

Perceptor startles awake.

It's not often they share a room, their duties often demanding their attention. So Perceptor feels a bit bad that, of the few times they have, this one time he can hardly fall into recharge.

Nightmares are rare for him, but when they do happen they are intense. He curls closer to Rodimus, clasping his arms around his chest, feels the way his partner's spark rotates in his chest under his hands. The electrical impulses that run through his body. It grounds him in the present.

Rodimus shuffles, dragged out of whatever rest he was in with a murmured "hm?"

"Go back to sleep, Captain," Perceptor says quietly as he rests his head against his back.

"Y' alright, Percy?"

He tries not to cringe to himself over the fact he woke him up so late. His internal clock tells him it's around midnight. "I'm fine. Just..."

Rodimus shifts, turning around to face him, only for Perceptor to move, placing his hands back on his chest.

They're both quiet; Rodimus with realization, Perceptor with shame and fear.

"'m fine Percy. Y' feel that? Spark's still turning."

"I know. It's..." he sighs to himself, brows furrowing beneath his helm, "I worry your trust in my skill is misplaced. You saw what happened with the alternate Lost Light. You died and it was my fault."

"No, it wasn't," Rodimus says firmly, "c'mon Percy. It was just that: an alternate Lost Light. It wasn't you. God knows it was probably my own hubris, anyways. Things are alright here. I'm alive, you've never lead me wrong."

Perceptor thins his lips, but Rodimus just smiles, resting a hand on his cheek. He leans forward, kissing him softly, tenderly, and Perceptor's anxieties are abated.

This will be a conversation they will have again, but for now, he allows himself the relief of being in his captain's arms.

So I've put my recent short works inspired by tumbler games and asks on AO3.

What do you mean this is the first and only Erkenbrand/OC work on AO3 ever?!?!

I will need to fix that. And soon. Old heroes deserve a story and a love life, too. 👴🏻🩷⚔️

And Thémængen the feral horse-witch and royal princess has grown on me tremendously. Now I have to write her story, there's no way out of it. I've thought of an unlikely friendship for her... 🤴🏼🧙🏻‍♀️🐎

✏️ The first fanfiction you ever wrote? (doesn’t have to be a posted fic)

Heh.. back in 2005, a show aired on Discovery Kids that became my favorite show in the history of ever. Wee 9 year old Brina did not understand or even know of the concept of Fandom or Fanfiction - but this show is what I consider my first Fandom ever.

Did any fellow millennials ever watch Flight 29 Down on Discovery Kids (2005-2007)? Man, I loved that show so fucking much. I wrote silly little fics for it in my spare spiral college ruled notebooks! AUs before I even know what an AU was lmao. My favorite was one I called "Agents in Action" where I pretended all the characters in the show were recruited as Secret Agents after being rescued lmao.

I also wrote fics for my favorite ship in the show. Again, I didn't really know what the word ship was, but I knew I liked two characters enough to write fics of them getting together and referring to them with a pairing name. I shipped Jackson/Taylor aka Jaylor! Jackson was the Tall-Quiet-Mysterious foster kid with a questionable past and a sense of being an outsider among his peers, and Taylor was the seemingly shallow rich Mean Girl, who turns out not to be as mean or shallow once you get to know her a little more and she learns some more empathy/self-awareness.

When I wrote these fics, I had no idea what fic even was. But man oh man was it such a happy place for me to write them at the time. I wish I still had them, but I don't know where they went. I used to draw pictures at the back of every page and everything. Good times, good times ;u;

🎧 A certain song you listened to while writing a fic?

MUSIC, YAASS. So! Rare is it for me to make a playlist for just a one-shot, but for my NyxNoct Masquerade Fic I really needed a decent chunk of songs that captured the right vibe to help me write it, if ya know what I mean!

Young and Beautiful is the star of that playlist. I not only imagined Nyx and Noct dancing to the song in the fic, but the playlist also features two different instrumental versions of it too! It was such a big help with that fic uwu.

🔬The fic you had to make the most research for?

Hmm.. there's honestly 3 contenders for this, and the Masquerade fic is definitely one of them - but that was research in the sense of looking up a lot of visuals for inspiration. Outfits/ballrooms/mask designs and things like that

The second has to be cagefighter AU because of the fight scenes. I looked up articles about boxing rings/MMA tournaments/different styles of martial arts and things like that. I think I put at some point in the fic that Nyx leans more towards a boxing style while Noct kinda knows a mix of things thanks to Cor. The third would have to be my old and Very Incomplete NyxNoct Wings AU that only has one chapter and no proper plot to this day ;u; Researching wing anatomy and all that. Visual references for different wing designs too.

So Many ;u; but right now, the main things on my radar after I finish the current WIP are: -An assassination attempt prompt that's been sitting in my inbox for too long -A new possibly probably definitely spicy NyxNoct fic ideally for Valentine's Day. Buuut there's a good chance I chicken out of that one and try writing the next chapter of Cagefighter AU instead.

If I add anything else, I'll be getting too ahead of myself and overwhelmed lol. To anyone who's sent me prompts in the last several months: bear with me please I swear. I either get them done sorta quick or... Not Quick.

This isn't the first time OpenAI's technology has produced overt racism. In the past, Microsoft faced similar issues with their AI chatbot "Tay" and a more recent partnership with OpenAI involving a Bing search engine chatbot.

While it's true that AI can be used for both good and bad aims, the context of this technology cannot be ignored. The impact of tools like ChatGPT on society remains uncertain, with both positive and negative effects. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman admits that the ultimate effects of AI technology will be long-term, but it's clear that they could be both transformatively good and profoundly harmful.
