Now, while not the standard "celeberties" in the stereotypical sense, both Mumbo and Pearl are essentially Idols in their fields of work, receiving the same level of attention and treatment as actors and singers.

Pearl, an astrophysicist, known for her groundbreaking discoveries regarding the moon and other celestial bodies, found herself in an odd predicament as she seemed to grow fonder and fonder of this celebrated engineer she had met during a New Year's Eve party held by her brother, Grian. There was just something about those eyes and his suit, the way that he let his intelligence shine through his jokes and comments, and the hints to the chaotic weirdness she just knew laid beneath that thin layer he held up for those who didn't know him well.

Mumbo, a roboticist and engineer, known for his groundbreaking robots that had been used to reach the moon and now some of the furthest solar system bodies, found himself in an odd predicament as he seemed to have fallen hard for the astrophysicist who had used his machines to make such astronomical discoveries. He'd known about her for years now, mostly through Grian, getting stories of the siblings' chaotic hijinks and sometimes, he'd get some news about her work, but now- Now she stood right in front of him, and she was drop dead killer, even in the formal academic attire she was stunning, but in casual clothing- were it not for the soft buzz of the jack he had earlier, he'd be a stuttering mess from how cool she looked.

The introduction went well, and when Grian brought up what they did for work, things began to hit it off fast. The two would spend almost all of the party just talking about their fields and stories from their past, sitting beneath the cosmic painting that is the midnight sky above them.

This was bad. That was the first thought that came to Mumbo's mind when the flash of the camera hit them- both him and Pearl had met up together at her place of work to discuss somethings, and it was just- how could he not lean in and kiss that smart face? How was he supposed to know that a reporter had came in right behind them to get a statement. Already, they saw how colleagues and fans of their work were beginning to talk about how amazing it would be if they were to work together, and a tiny few who started to connect a few dots-

This was great! Er, well, it gave them an answer on how to break the news on how they were dating. At least it wasn't from someone digging where they shouldn't have. Pearl was far more positive on this, using it as a way to safely and more appropriately reveal the "new" relationship. Of course, it came with some downsides, the letters and "critics" regarding a relationship between coworkers or who their partner was were always annoying, and at times, aggravating, but it was manageable, they had even gotten a "couple name" by a fan which was Celestial Nonsene- she had no idea where it came from, but she liked it. The best thing to come out of this all was her brother showing up to her place the day after it broke news, only to find a messy haired mumbo still in his boxers (that had moons on them, a gift from her) and a groggy Pearl who was wearing Mumbo's tie. Now that was a fuuun day, and nothing was better than messing with Grian by just leaning over and giving her boyfriend a solid kiss that left him seeing stars a bit.

Grian is outnumbered and he regrets ever introducing the pair. They probably would've crossed paths eventually - Pearl works with a lot of high tech equipment! But Grian accelerated the process, and with it, his misery.

Seriously, he's glad they're getting along so well, but not so well they're teaming up to tease him!

(🎭 is aggressively and furiously rattling a nearby vent. The memory whisp closes in on 🎭's location and fills the area with horribly off-tune and distorted singing) (👁️ blinks in, silently and gestures with their iris for Strangle and 🍄 to come through the vent grate, not the one being rattled, with gas masks on. They're just barely far enough away from 🎭 that they won't activate the sensor.) (For a brief moment, the memory whisp seems to pause as Strangle looks at it, squinting.) (🍄 gets ahead of them, and pulls out the camera.)

(Strangle gestures at 🍄 to hurry up, already carefully breaking pieces of infrastructure.) (🍄 and Strangle start building up the trap. Right over the vent grate.) (They place the last piece of the puzzle, a sculk sensor.) (Suddenly..)

Hey guys, hows it-

(🔹teleporting and talking at a normal volume not only alerts the whisp, but also activates the sculk sensor. It causes the sticky piston to loudly activate, further alerting the whisp.) (The whisp shrieks, and charges. But then stops.) ( 🎭 starts to scream, loudly. Frantically rattling the grate.) (The whisp redraws its attention to 🎭, ignoring the offending group.) (👁️ and Strangle give a thorough death glare at 🔹, but 🍄 signals that its time to leave.🔹shrinks in on themselves.) (🔹teleports to check up on 🎭 after phasing through the vent grate with 🍄 and Strangle.) (🎭 finally stops rattling and screaming at the vent grate. The memory whisp still attempts to get to them, to no avail.)

The vent grate rattles.

(The whisp shrieks and charges at full speed.) (👁️ blinks fully closed, disappearing elsewhere) (A sculk sensor goes off.) (A piston moves.) (A loud crunch and a horrible, high pitched choir rings and gets quickly muffled. The piston retracts, then protracts with another crunch.) (Over. And over. And over.) (And then..) (A blinding flash of light goes through the vent grate. Into the room.) (There is no more singing. No more whisp to worry about.) (But...)

Imagine Model!Hobie sitting down in an alleyway after being rejected, giving up with modeling completely until the reader, aka loser-autistic-artist!reader timidly, quite literally waddles up to him like

“Hi! Um, c-could I perhaps.. draw you?”

They would ask, fiddling with their pen in one hand, pushing their glasses up with the other while pressing their lips into a thin line nervously.

This turns into a weekly, innocent sketching session, each of which sketches are hanged up on their wall. This innocent sketching sesh, turns into suggesting poses, which turns into shirtless poses, which turn into fully nude.

And it ends with reader being fucked dumb against the table, rambling about something to keep themselves sane as hobie fucks them balls deep mercilessly. (I might've… added a few things but you know…)-🎭

Hello there! Just wanted to stop by and say hi. I'm very grateful to find this blog because only seeing other nonhumans talk about cat/dog related things is kind of disheartening personally, since I do not relate and have very different experiences.

For context, I am an aspecies nonhuman (a term I found from another Tumblr user.) All that means is I don't have a species. It's difficult to pin down what I look like or resemble, because my self image and what phantom limbs I feel can change regularly, though most are reoccurring. It feels as if I am many kinds of creatures, but they all make up the creature that is me, if that makes sense. It doesn't feel like I shape shift, but rather it is many different facets of the same being.

Anyway, thank you for this blog, I appreciate having somewhere to ramble about my unique and not quite explainable experiences with nonhunanity. (Also I'm unable to see some of the emojis already claimed by other anons because of my device, so I apologize if I claim some that are taken already.) - 👁⏳

Hi there! We’re very glad you found us! We see that around a lot and the reason we made this blog was primarily because we saw another tumblr user making a rant post about how any alterhuman space is mostly, if not all, canine/feline centered.

I (one of the beings answering this), feel very similar so I understand in a way! Not in an alterhuman way, but as a non human alter, so although it is different, I still understand. You never really ever come across anyone else like this and it’s so cool to see that it exists!

And of course, we hope this becomes a safe space for you and everyone else who gets drowned out by the common types/kins. (And no worries, that one isn’t taken by anyone else!)

This is run by a silly guy who's also very silly about the game. He/they, please.

Feel free to submit any headcanons you have about the in-game characters here. I dont have to agree with them for them to be valid. Here are a few rules, though:

No homo/trans/xeno/etc- phobic posts here. This game has canonically nonbinary and genderfluid characters. This is also a safe space. 1.5. It is okay to headcanon that a character is homo/trans/xeno/etc- phobic, but please don't use any slurs.

No 18+ headcanons (yes, that includes all your kinks). I don't want to hear it. Keep that to yourself.

All headcanons with heavy content (such as descriptive gore, suicide or self harm, etc) must contain a trigger warning in the beginning of the post.

If someone submits a headcanon that varies from your own, don't harass them. Do not harass me either, because I will be adding my own opinions to yours sometimes. 4.5. It is okay to have a debate over a headcanon or simply disagree with it. Just be respectful.

Don't badmouth the devs or mention any in-fandom drama. I don't care about it. I don't want to hear it. If you have beef with someone, that's not my problem.

Don't start hate campaigns towards select ships (or shipping in general) just because it's something you personally dislike. I don't tolerate ship wars.

I'm a 🎭, usually pretty 👇 on the 📜 of talents people like to scout for. Doesn't really matter, I'm not in it for 💰 or anything, just for the fun of it. I ❤️ to think I'm pretty funny, anyways.

But I was scouted as the final act at The Sydney. I went, 👁️ all the other acts. I was getting a bit 😥 by the time it was my turn. Everyone else was so much better than me.

Still, I went up to the 🎤 and started telling my jokes. I didn't stutter, my delivery was ✅, but after every joke there was always a solid few ⏰ before anyone would 😂. Felt like pity, they weren't like that with anyone else. It 👂 forced. And then it 👂 wrong. Eventually when I looked into the audience some of the 🧍were gone, and in their seats were anywhere from 1️⃣-5️⃣ 🎭 masks, varying expressions.

The volume of the 😂 never changed. I remember that. Even as one, after the next, after the next.. They were all gone. All replaced by these masks. I couldn't stop 🗣️into the 🎤. Eventually I closed my 👁️👁️, and even still I kept going. I used material I hadn't in 🗓️🗓️🗓️+. I couldn't 🛑.

When I opened my 👁️👁️ again, everyone was there.

They all had a 🎭 mask on.

I never got 💰 for that gig. I didn't care. I had to 🏃. I was still telling jokes into the 🎤. I ended up taking it with me.

I don't know what would have happened if I stayed. I still have the 🎤. Sometimes I can't stop myself from telling another goddamn joke.

I'm never going in front of a crowd again.

Your experience certainly seems harrowing. I am reminded of several statements I have read previously. The feeling of being alone on stage in front of a crowd of hollow masks, pursued by them long after you've left the stage. Yet, I suppose, it was not the audience that followed you, but the microphone. Is that the source of its power? Producing some sort compulsion to speak, to to share, to perform even at your own expense? You didn't feel as though you could stop, no matter how desperate you were to escape. Compulsion and performance would be...puppets, I think. A growing and crippling addiction to making your anguish into a piece of entertainment, the need to feed yourself to the hungry, empty audience.

Eventually, the need to perform will become unbearable, and you will raise that microphone to your mouth and the salt from your tears dry your mouth as you choke on the cruel punchline that is your life.

I would advise getting rid of that microphone, by whatever means necessary. It probably won't help you, but...well, there's always someone new backstage, eager to step up to the mic.
