He could hear the narrator’s voice. The feminine voice playing from the beginning yet again. Gods do they really love him that much? He’s only a video game character.

But he wishes he was more.

He wanted to be with Tav, but not the character in front of him. The one who pulls the string on this puppet. The player.

He’s been breaking the fourth wall to look at them. Can’t they see? Well, maybe he has to do more. Can he do more? He sure hope so.

He makes his glances longer. He’s practically staring. Hearing the player mumble about some glitch made him pout a little as they restart. He then ended up at the beginning. The narrator giving him time to think of plan.

Astarion pushed Tav down and pointed the dagger at her throat. He thought on what to do. He lightly smirked at the idea.

“Shhh. Not a word. Let’s try to keep that lovely neck of yours in one piece, hmm? Well- this one’s neck.” Astarion then looks at the screen. He knew they were probably confused.

“Hello dear. Can’t get enough of me? I suppose I can’t blame you.” He lightly teased, walking towards where the screen would be.

“What is your real name?”

Ever since that day, Astarion learns how to connect himself to their world. He learned how to communicate, letting his crush type where options would be, being able to hear them, and then he finally found out how to see them.

The first time, he couldn’t believe it. Wow his beloved is so gorgeous. Almost as gorgeous as him! He really just says at them, observing and memorizing every imperfect perfections on them. Sometimes Astarion truly just stares for hours. When has he fallen so hard for someone?

Astarion also gives his lover details and secrets that the game won’t reveal. Going into so much detail just for his beloved on the other side of the screen.

Astarion asks his lover to be his by making a small place to confess. He asks, calling them “his little player.”

Sometimes he looks at the screen and pouts. He will just drop a, “I wish I was on the other side of screen with you.” Before going back to whatever is happening.

One time after saying that wish he placed his hand on the screen. When his lover placed theirs over his, he actually felt it. Let’s just say that he hasn’t shut up about it yet.

🌌 - What’s your favourite part of RP?

So, there's two aspects of RP that I would say are my favourites?

First off, I'm what I would call a fairly strict canon adherent writer - I try to stay accurate to what I know to be true to Hank as a character, in all of his various forms, even the odd little factoids like him apparently being allergic to sawdust or him being a great Dungeon Master - so I get such a kick of getting to slide a scene into canon, as it were.

Getting to fill in conversations or scenes that SHOULD have happened, that I think would have been fascinating, but didn't happen because of the limited page space, is a special joy for me, and it's why I seek out very certain characters to write with, especially X-related muses.

Shout out to @emmatriarchy for letting me do precisely this with our beautiful Hank + Sage thread, that slides right into New X-Men, and to @maximummuses, whose thread with Hank and Logan just tearing each other to pieces with their words and their regrets and their guilt is just - perfect. It's such a special, rare thing, I adore it.

Second off! The completely unexpected! I did not have Hank getting into a strange enemies-to-lovers arrangement with Sabretooth (the always lovely @themarvelliteraryuniverse) or becoming Tess McKay's best friend in the whole wide world (the inimitable @themckaytriarchy), but it happened, and I love it! It caught me completely by surprise, it happened out of pure chemistry and spark and adoration of their writing style, and I feel so happy every time I get to read their writing because it, by rights, shouldn't have happened!

💖 - What’s something you like about your muse?

Oh, so much. I genuinely adore Hank to pieces. Uhh, if I had to pick just one, I guess I'd say it's his courage. It takes so, so, so much courage to keep coming back from what's been done to him, whether it's self-inflicted or not - it would be so easy for him to just give up and throw in the towel, but he doesn't. He refuses to give up.

Because he believes in something. He believes in humanity. He holds it so dear and so close to his heart, and it gives him courage. People make him strong. People give him the ability to go on even when he's been kicked in the teeth and had his faith broken. It's a part of him that I try to bring out in myself, genuinely.

💔 - What’s something you dislike about your muse?

He's so unkind to himself.

He does not believe a single kind word about himself. He believes he can always do better. He always believes he manages to snatch defeat away from the jaws of victory. It's so rare that he has a victory he gets to hold in his hands and just enjoy.

It's why I savour the moments when he's happy so much, because the next downswing is always on the horizon.

Mass Effect 2! You have no idea how much that shit blew my goddamn mind when I was but a wee bab of just 17 years old! The Normandy opening, the Suicide Mission, Archangel, Legion, all of it, I just was enraptured from beginning to end. I'm eagerly awaiting getting around to a replay on the Legendary Edition when I'm done on Baldur's Gate 3, because fuck, I love Mass Effect.

Fecto flora: I think it would be funny if he was 100% a carnivore by choice just because he didn't want to hurt plants at all so refuses to veggies. So his normal meals are meat lovers dream. This doesn't harm them badly.

That being said after like. Centuries of not really eating it forgets to eat most meals

Valerie/Audrey: fairly healthy for a baby puffball, even if they eat a ton to have energy like Kirby did. The most quick way to give energy is sweets which while they fill them up they arent the most nutritious so valerie and Audrey both have a normal meal and some sweets.

💅Suselle💅: The original ship. I feel like Noelle might catch on to Susie's feelings but Susie would be oblivious af. It's good, I like it, but it's missing a special something. Maybe it's just because it hasn't had much time to really develop though, we are only on chapter two. 7/10

❄️Kriselle❄️: Probably my favourite. These two dorks are cute as hell. Now they would be painfully oblivious to each other's feelings. And the angst presented by Snow grave with this one is just ooooooooooo. I don't really want it to be canon though, I just want to consume endless content of it. It's the classic friends to lovers, it's great! Besides, Kris and Noelle's dynamic is one of my favourites. 9/10

💜Krusie💜: More dorks in love? Yes. They too would be torturously oblivious. The shenanigans presented is top notch chaos quality, and taking into account they may have a history!? (that thing with the apple implied it) the enemies to friends to lovers thing works. 8/10

✨Krusielle✨: Now this I want to be canon. It's actually likely as well. It's probably not going to be, though. It's the trifecta of obliviousity. It's a really good ship! It combines all the good parts of Krusie and Suselle and mixes it with Kriselle. 8/10

Or Escher. -Never had enough shower products in the Underdark so when in Baldur's Gate, he'd just buy the whole stock. -Would also buy shimmering bath salt, not caring about the fact that he already shimmers in the dark because of his white freckles. A drama queen at his best.

2. Would OC commit tax evasion? -We've already committed it by entering Vallaki tbh. -Would do that again. -Only to irritate Strahd (and Vasili). -"Money? No, I don't have any :D"

Sometimes a coat over the shoulders. -But oh boy if he sees something shiny- Probably has little chains over his boots, chained earring, silver rings on his middle fingers and other trinkets that he collects for exactly zero reason and purpose. -Has a white crescent tattoo on his chest under the clothes. No one knows probably hehe. -Dinner!Saer'llith would have an awfully dramatic shirt with red beads stitched onto it to look like blood. Escher would probably be the one to offer him this.

He wouldn't be able to say no. -We stan bard!Escher in this house.

12. What sounds does OC enjoy? If OC likes ASMR, which types of ASMR? -They enjoy running water, wind in the forest, crackling of a fire. Genuinely every sound that he's never heard before while in the Underdark. Everything fascinates him but he doesn't like to show much of these emotions on his face. -But not any voice ASMR, absolutely nope. Not even when someone whispers in his ears.

And that word alone does not mean a single place. He was looking for a person, someone he can finally be safe with. -And oh boy how painful it was for him to understand that his heart beats twice not only for some god forsaken human, but for a vampire who threatened them and the whole Vallaki at some point. -He still has hard time understanding himself honestly. -Bonus points!: [baldur's gate AU] where Escher actually died during the last battle with Strahd and the Emperor chose Escher's appearance to come into Saer'llith's dreams. The latter one hated it with all his heart but wished for nothing but to have another dream where he can see his Home.

14. What do you love about OC? What events, art, work do you love to put OC in? -I honestly created him randomly at some point of time. I just desperately wanted to play as a drow (and let me say that I've never played dnd before the CoS campaign we're having now). So 30 minutes in Wikipedia, House Agrach Dyrr and you have a Lychheir Wild Magic Sorcerer. -Love skribbling him on a piece of paper. Especially his 6 ears. No one can draw them properly lmao. Just imagine an axolotl and here you go. Why does he have 6? No one knows..apart from the Abbot apparently, do not ask. -He technically has a predcessor OC from another fandom that I never got to roleplay as so they were left as a rough idea. Their name was Xie Hentian (a scorpio who hates the skies, this is a translation of his current name atp), a MDZS character, Jin Guangshan's blind concubine (not by their choice), later a merciful demon who seeks for a Home. You get the idea. -But apart from this information you won't see Saer'llith in any other fandom other than DnD.

What did they do? -The fact that they're a drow is enough for like half of the Faerun population honestly. -That's why he hates this half of the population back. -In the Underdark the other drow were afraid of him (and hated him altogether) solely because of his lych powers as a sorcerer. -Yeah, you heard that right. His existence was enough for them to hate him. -mrdr

16 Is OC cursed? Haunted? Possessed? Fated to tragedy? -Again to the Lychdrow we go. If you google who that is, you'll probably know how powerful this guy was and that he's like...dead. The very day he died, a part of his soul merged with Saer'llith's, giving him his powers. -After that he literally has to supress this dark part of his soul, otherwise it can escape and make him its puppet. -If entering Barovia counts as a curse cuz we're playing Curse of Strahd then yes, he's cursed twice lmao

17. What tragic/dark events, art, work, do you love (or love to hate) to put OC in? -Again, that one Baldur's gate AU is the thing that makes me a mess. Especially when we consider the fact that I also befriended Astarion and killed Cazador. Like. If Saer'llith had a nickel every time he got stuck with a vampire and kill their master, he would have two nickels. That isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice. -He would also refuse to tell his companions about any of his time in Barovia. -At some point he would make a fake grave near Daggerfort and write Escher's name on it. Once a year he would come there, sit silently for all night and go back to the camp in the morning. Astarion wanted to ask a few times but never had enough strength to do it. -Also ever since his return from Barovia, he would never take his blindfold off. No, he doesn't need it at all, he's used to the sunlight already, but he wears it as a sign that he'll never open up to anyone anymore. Escher was his only Home.
