Jiyan looked up at the sky as the rain began to fall backwards, making him cautious about what was going to happen. TDs could emerge from anywhere given the circumstances but the effects of the Retroact Rain seemed localised unlike a few days ago. Why now? He wondered as his hand ghosted around the hilt of his broadblade.
Upon hearing a familiar voice, Jiyan stiffened despite remaining composed. Not again... not him of all people. Jiyan closed his eyes, steadying his breath as he focused on the source of the voice. How many nights were plagued by nightmares where he witnessed his General be engulfed by those dark flames while he simply stood and watched it happen? How many times had he replayed the argument that they had before the General marched into battle with all their troops? Could he have done something more for a different outcome? He did not know. But what he knew was that the phantom was now here as an audience to his actions.
Tumblr media
"Are you here to test me again, General Lin?" Jiyan looked at the phantom from the corner of his eye, his grip on the hilt of his sword tightening.
It was that time of the year again when the lives lost on that fateful day were honored. Three years ago, many had lost their lives and yet, nobody seemed to honor the one who led the battle. While the circumstances surrounding the incident were still unclear, Jiyan knew that the former general did not deserve to be vilified. As he walked alone to the Crescent, he looked up at the overcast sky which seemed to mirror his melancholic mood.
Entering the statue of the Threnodian was out of the question but Jiyan layed a few Emortia flowers on the ground that overlooked the statue, as if to commemorate Geshu Lin's sacrifice. "We may have disagreed on a lot, but standing where you once stood with the position you once held, I know why you made the decision you took even though I still do not agree with it."
He didn't know why he was speaking to himself and why he was here. Perhaps the phantom he saw during the awakening of the Threnodian shook him much more than he'd like to admit. - @midnight-ranger-general-jiyan
The clouds above the barren landscape shifted with unshed rain, seeming to darken the further any willing soul dared to traverse further into the battlefield that was, for once in its history, devoid of combat.
On the outskirts, it seemed one such soul was willing to venture close. A light rain was beginning to fall, drizzling over the cracked earth. Yet the rain that fell here never seemed to have an effect on the vegetation— or the lack thereof.
The rain landed on the offering of flowers, pattering against the small petals of the Emortia before seeming to retract. The rain was weak, but that was still enough.
Geshu Lin faintly phased in and out of visibility, his conscience struggling against the phantom’s desire to simply reenact the same experiences and memories that kept him tied to this land. His presence was faint, but still there nonetheless.
He glanced to the flowers that Jiyan had brought, unsure of how to feel about the offering. It was the first anyone had brought in his name, and he narrowed his eyes as the rain picked up, granting him a little more control over his phantom form, though still restraining himself from speaking.
Instead, he listened, feeling a wry, crooked smile form on his scarred lips as he stood behind Jiyan, who looked as composed as ever despite Geshu knowing he was likely distraught on the inside.
He stayed silent for a moment more, the sound of rain around them. “…well. What do we have here? I suppose since you’ve proven yourself, I should be addressing you as General, Jiyan.” He murmured, his voice slightly distorted, sounding like an echo that had traveled through many chambers before being audible to human ears.

Phases of the Moon
While the sabbats are a big part of the Wheel of the Year, so too are the moon cycles. By following the moon's orbit we can live in closer harmony with it and use its influences to empower ourselves and our craft.
Tumblr media
🌑 🌒 🌓 🌔 🌕 🌖 🌗 🌘 🌑
The moon is intrinsically tied to the Earth and us--it is observable in tides, seasons, and bodily processes. It may have an impact on us psychologically or physiologically in ways not yet fully understood. One aspect of living in harmony with the world is living in harmony with the moon and its cycles and phases.
There are 9 distinct phases of the moon: the new moon, dark moon, full moon, first and third quarters, and the waxing and waning crescent and gibbous moons.
New Moon
The first lunar phase, new moons occur following the moon’s absence during the dark moon. In this stage, the moon is directly between the earth and the sun. They represent new beginnings and provide space for growth. New moons are an excellent time to set intentions, plant seeds (metaphorically and literally), be creative, and to manifest desires.
Waxing Crescent
The waxing crescent is the second lunar phase and represents the first stage of growth. The moon begins its orbit around earth here. They possess high magnetic energies, which are constructive, and empower invocation magic. It is a good time for planning, envisioning, and divination.
First Quarter
The first quarter is the third lunar phase and is associated with attraction and growth. Magic surrounding summoning and seeking is effectively powerful during this time, especially when trying to draw in lost objects, emotions, and memories.
Waxing Gibbous
The fourth lunar phase, the waxing gibbous resists stagnation, and aids in endurance and motivation. This is the final push before the apex of the moon's orbit. A provider of willpower, the waxing gibbous can help in overcoming trials and tribulations.
Full Moon
Full moons are the most notorious of the lunar phases, as the moon is at its full strength and exerts its influence with abandon. The entire face of the moon is visible at this time and the moon shines at its brightest. During this peak, the moon lends witches its strength, its sense of action, and its proclivity for development. It is also a time slated for clear-sighted divination.
In Celtic and Old English tradition, full moons have names and meanings depending on the time of year during which they are present. Put simply, there is a full moon for each month, plus the occasional extra one per year. See my forthcoming post about the full moons and their names.
Waning Gibbous
The waning gibbous is the sixth lunar phase and represents the period in which the moon begins to fade. It is a powerful period in which to practice magics that repel, banish, or destroy, as well as those that cleanse and heal. It is also wise to practice self-care in the wake of the full moon. This is an excellent period in which to root out and dispel unwanted energies as the moon’s light fades and darkness rises.
Third Quarter
The seventh lunar phase involves the overcoming of obstacles as one nears completion. The moon's visibility begins to rapidly fall. It aids in withstanding transitions.
Waning Crescent
The eighth lunar phase sees the last fragment of the moon as it nears depletion. This period aids in greater banishing and dissolution magic. Energy is drained in this period, both positive and negative, and is a good time to re-focus on important things; for prioritization. Self-care is needed to balance lower energy levels. Protection also warrants attention during this time, as one prepares for the moon’s absence during the dark moon.
Dark Moon
The ninth and final lunar phase is represented by the absence of the moon entirely. It can last 2 to 3 days, and witches may experience low energy and power. This mundane period may be used for reflection, introspection, and gratitude for the world around one. Shadow work may be particularly meaningful and fruitful during this period.

Conclusion
The moon has power, and it's crucial to live in harmony with its cycles. By following its comings and goings, its waxings and wanings, we can learn to address our needs more meaningfully and use our power to its fullest potential.

Who is Luna?
Luna is the Roman goddess of the moon, and is often depicted wearing a crescent moon as a crown:
Role
Goddess of the moon, and the female counterpart to the sun god Sol
Symbol
Crescent moon, two-horse chariot (biga)
Powers
Guides lost people, shapes the night sky, embodies protection and solace
Associated with
Diana, Hecate, Proserpina, Juno Lucina
Other names
Cynthia, Artemis, Phoebe
Luna is sometimes represented as part of a triple goddess along with Diana and either Hecate or Proserpina. Luna is also sometimes not a distinct goddess, but rather an epithet for other goddesses, such as Diana and Juno.
The word "lunar" comes from the Latin word lucere, which means "to shine".

Is there a myth or many for the moons phases in greek mythology? Because I can't find any
Hey! 🌕
In terms of moon phases specifically, the info is pretty scarce. I'm planning to do a bigger deep dive into this if I find the time and will share more if/when I get it.
But for now, here's what I found on Selene's Wikipedia page, as she is considered to be the personification of the moon itself. It seems much of the moon phase related info connects directly back to her.
I'll seek out and share Artemis and Hekate related moon phase mythology if I find it.
🌒🌓🌔🌕🌖🌗🌘
Selene was said to carry the moon across the sky in her chariot, thus controlling its phases. The Homeric Hymn to Selene gives the following description:
"The air, unlit before, glows with the light of her golden crown, and her rays beam clear, whensoever bright Selene having bathed her lovely body in the waters of Ocean, and donned her far-gleaming raiment, and yoked her strong-necked, shining team, drives on her long-maned horses at full speed, at eventime in the mid-month: then her great orbit is full and then her beams shine brightest as she increases. So she is a sure token and a sign to mortal men. (Hymn 32)"
Selene was sometimes associated with childbirth, for it was believed that during the full moon women had the easiest labours; this helped in her identification with the goddess Artemis, as well as other goddesses connected to women's labours. (Cited from the writing of Chrysippus of Soli)
According to a certain Epigenes, the three Moirai, or Fates, were regarded in the Orphic tradition as representing the three divisions of Selene, "the thirtieth and the fifteenth and the first" (i.e. the crescent moon, full moon, and dark moon, as delinted by the divisions of the calendar month) (cited from Clement of Alexandria's Stromata: Abel, frg. 253.)

Goddess of the moon. It is also said she is the goddess of sleep, dreams, childbirth, fertility, menstruation, cycles, change and the months.
🌙Selene is the daughter of the titans Hyperion and Theia. Her brother, Helios, is the god of the sun, and her sister, Eos, is the goddess of the dawn. During the night, Selene would drive her chariot pulled by 2 white horses or bulls with the moon across the sky. Her love was the mortal shepard Endymion who was granted eternal sleep in order to be with her. She is an Ouranic titaness and was worshiped on the full and new moon. 🌑🌒🌓🌔🌕🌖🌗🌘🌑
the walk here, to the middle of this field, was a long one, but not tiring, & now it is night. the face of the moon is
waxing crescent, giving us a quiet light such that we can see where our feet fall, & the fireflies flit about as they ever do.
we sit in the tall grass, we run our fingers over each blade, the green now glinting in the light of the face of the moon in its
first quarter. the stars also spill their shine down upon us, gentle, gentle, gently.
facing away from each other, we lie now in the field, but we still hold hands. our eyes are closed while we tell our stories, but surely the moon,
waxing gibbous, is smiling.
○ i am full now, full of the life that hides in the darkness, full of mystery, full of stories that twist & mutate & are forgotten - or misremembered - that the people tell. for a moment i see two of them falling asleep tangled in the tall grass down there, & i feel their story come to me. i am full. ○
the face of the moon seems wistful now, i've opened my eyes to find you already watching me. the grass shivers in a slow wind, like a thousand dancers in the street.
waning gibbous, she is dancing too up there, we're sure of it.
there are no words during the
last quarter of the face of the moon. the dancers now are floating off of this grand stage.
it was a grand show, wasn't it? we stand up now & brush each other off, still looking up occasionally at the
waning crescent moon, its face still shining soft upon the swaying grass.
the face of the moon is now hidden from view. a
new moon & we have walked away. fireflies linger still in the quiet of the night.

You were trying out a new spell..chanting out the words from your spellbook, as a gust of wind enters the room and the moonlight shines through window ceil of your ceiling. Once you've finished chanting the spell and waited for a moment, expecting something to happen.. but nothing "..weird. Maybe I did it wrong.."said to yourself with furrowed brows, shrugging your shoulders before checking the spellbook again to see what you did wrong.
Not at all aware of the presence in the room watching you intensely, as you make an tempt to get the spell right this time. As your chanting the words a green glow covered one of your hands and get interuppted by multiple hissing sounds, looking down to find three snakes in your hand causing you to shriek out in surprise dropping the serpents on the floor. "What the hell?!.. that's not suppose to happen.." whispering in disbelief before looking at the spellbook again a second time, as the three snakes slithered away into a corner of the room to merge together into a larger one.
"What the hell, am I doing wrong here?!" shouting out in frustration while gripping the spellbook tightly causing the knuckles on your hand to turn white, still unaware of the intense and curious set of eyes watching you from the two ancient deities that you've summoned. You figured to try it again and hopefully get the spell right this time, thinking to yourself 'the third times the charm' as they say. Picturing the image of what you want most in your head, as you start chanting the words while the temperature in the room begins to drop and start hear a crackling sound. Then a set of flames appears from the floor in the room and the crackling sounds transfer into rumblings, as the room shook and a large figure wearing a dark blue suit with blue flames for hair rise from the flames "Ooo Oh-ho... YES! I am FINALLY free, baby!" an unfamiliar voice shouted out, causing you to start panicking "shit, shit, shit.. fucking shit." you whispered, thinking that you unleashed some sort of demon from hell "I'm fucked."
"HA!.. take that, Zeusy! I'm finally free, ya hussy.. "the flaming head figure exclaims while your brain tries to process what's happening "..oh, Mr. High and Mighty!" The large snake that's been hiding in the corner of the room, shape-shifts into human form with raven-hair and emerald green eyes wearing a black gucci suit starts to speak "Alright, drop the theatrics already.. and they call me the dramatic one." they said with an eye roll.
By now the flames are gone and the shaking has finally come to a stop "What a surprise, it's the trickster himself. Hey, bud how's it been?" , "Oh, you know the usual. How's life in the Underworld?" , "Well, they're just fine. You know, a little dark, a little gloomy. And, as always.. hey, full of dead people. What are you gonna do?" while the two carry on with their conversation you continue to stare and gawk at the them with your jaw open.
You must've dozed off for a moment cause now there were three of them having a conversation.. well, at least some type of squabble "Oh look it's the pigeon boy." , "Pigeon boy?.." a large mummified man in a white dapper suit with a large bird skull floating above where his neck should be said then, added with a roar "I am not a pigeon! I am a God of Vengeance!"
"I know. I just like to ruffle-up your feathers." the raven-haired teased with a grin causing the large man-bird to caw out, angrily "I don't have any feathers!" that was when you finally spoke up "Bird." you said stating the obvious while pointing at the large bird man.. causing the three to turn their attention towards you "There's a large bird.. uh, man-bird in my house."
The blue fire-haired guy was the first one to introduce himself "Hi. Names Hades, Lord of the Dead. How ya, doin'?" he said while shaking your hand sending a heat of pleasure up your arm.
The raven-haired guy was the sencond "I am Loki of Asgard and might I add that you are the most extravagant creature I have ever seen in all the nine relams."he said while taking your hand and pressed it to his lips causing you to blush.
As for the large man-bird, who continue to peer down at you with those hollow eyes before he spoke last "Khonshu" just the voice alone made your knees feel like jelly.
--------------------४🌘💀-----------------------
"Go on, little one.." Khonshu said gesturing you to undo his slacks and take out his cock, as you eagerly do so ".. that's it. There's a good little bug." he added while threading his fingers through your hair as you start sucking on the Moon God's cock.
"Don't forget about us, pet."  Loki spoke up while him and Hades move in closer, you happily began pumping their cocks "Oh yes!" Hades drawed out with a moan.
You kept alternating between the three, worshipping their cocks with your mouth and hands.. causing the ancient gods to moan while bucking their hips, wildly to fuck your mouth and hands as they take turns on fingering your pussy in return.
As things get more heated, Khonshu used his powers to lift you up in the air to put you in the position that he wants to take you in.. Loki uses his magic to chain your limbs while your naked form is bent on all fours in a spread eagle position. "Is this okay, little one?" Khonshu asked laying underneath you while Loki stands behind you and Hades stands in front of you whimpered out a "please" but that wasn't enough "Please what, sugar?" Hades questioned and you could only whine in reponse "Use your words, darling." Loki command while they tease your holes with their cocks.
"Please, fuck me" as soon as those words leave your lips, the gods thrusted their hard lengths foward.. the trickster impaling your ass, the Moon God drilling your pussy while the Lord of the Dead fucks your throat. "Such a good little pet." Loki purred, as he shower your back with kisses and leaving love bites "Your taking our cocks so well, little bug." Khonshu crooned while massaging your breasts and lightly pecks them with the tip of his beak "Are you gonna cum for yours gods, sweetheart?" Hades cooed grabbing you by the hair to remove your mouth from his shaft and kisses feverishly, moaning in his mouth as you come.
The second time around, they took you pressed up against the wall.. taking turns pounding you from behind multiple times with their hand wrapped around your throat, whispering filthy words in your ear.
After round three, you lost count how many times you came.. by the time the night was over and the sun begin to rise, they had you tucked into bed and promise to return very soon.

------------🌑🌒🌓🌔🌕🌖🌗🌘🌑------------
Every night your mother and father would sit out in the sands of Egypt to gaze up at the stars in the night sky, but on this very night was a waning crescent moon.
-----------------------🌘------------------------
Your mother was laying on a blanket that was covering the sand, reading her book while your father looks through his telescope, you were layed out in a pile of pillows and blankets while looking up at the night sky cooing and aweing, making grabby hands at the moon.
MoOon.." you said while rolling over and starts to crawl your way into the moonlight as, it shines down at you "awe.. look at her.." said your mother, "what's she doing?"asked your father not looking away from his telescope. You came to a hault and plopped yourself down on your butt with an annoyed huff "I think she's trying to catch the moon." your mother replied while setting down the book she was reading, as you make another attempt by stretching out your little arms tp reach the moon or so you thought, instead you fell over face-first in the sand.
Your mother picked you up and start to wipe the sand off your face while you just sit there pouting with your arms crossed "moOon come home." you whined, as the wind blows "Moon come home?" your mother repeated with a questionable tone "yes" you said simply with your arms still crossed. "But we can't take the moon home with us, honey." your father said, earning another fuss from you "my moOon.. moOon come home." you repeated while slamming your tiny little fists on your thighs, as the wind blows again.
------------🌑🌒🌓🌔🌕🌖🌗🌘🌑------------
A few men on horseback appeared and start questioning your father for money, as your mother held you while standing behind her husband "I'm sorry it had to come to this.. truly. But.." one of the horsemen said, as he pulled out his gun ".. it's just good business." he said with a smug smirk on his face before he shoots your father down.
Sobs wrecks from your mother over the death of her husband while she covers your eyes "Now, now.. no need to cry.." the shooter mocked ".. we're gonna have ourselves a good time, ain't we?.." he added with an eerie grin then turns to his buddies "right boys?" giving your mother a chance to escape, as the three horsemen cheered at their boss.
"HEY!.. the bitchs gettin' away!" one of them shouts before chasing after the two of you, your mother ran while praying to Gods above that'll help getting you guys to safety as the wind picked up again hitting the horsemen only. Your mother ran for three days and two nights.. on the third night; your mother carried you towards the Temple of Khonshu once, she rushed inside the temple and at her last dying breath she said "Khonshu.. please look after my baby and prote-" before she could finish her prayer she collapsed at the foot of the Temples Statue of Khonshu, as you cried out.
Your cries got cut short, as a large mummified bird-man appeared "Cease your crying little one, your safe now." a deep voice said, as he knelt infront of you "ehh.." you said while tilting your head to the side earning a head tilt from the large bird man in response.
"Bird." you said while pointing at him "MoOon bird."you added, as you reached for his beak and he shook his head at you "Khonshu, God of the Nig-" but he gets interuppted as you try to pronounce his name"Khon-a-chew?" , "No, Khon-" he gets interuppted this time, as you grab him by his beak to pull yourself up surprising him while you just hugged his beak "my moOon bird."
Khonshu walks through a village in Cairo searching for a new home for you, as you bounce along next to him from the wind by him using his moon staff.
"Mama.. daddy.." a little girl says, as she runs back inside "What is it, little scarab?" her father asked, "I saw a little girl bouncing in the wind!"she exclaimed.

Jiyan stood firm, his eyes narrowed with determination. "I know that lives will be lost, Geshu. That is the nature of war," he began, his voice steady but laced with a quiet intensity. "But there is a difference between inevitable loss and unnecessary sacrifice. Calculating and ensuring low casualties among our troops is not just important, it is essential. We cannot afford to aimlessly send a horde of soldiers to overwhelm the TD outbreaks. There is strength in numbers, yes, but the losses that come with it are avoidable if we employ proper strategy and carefully consider the risks."
He paused, his gaze unwavering as he watched Geshu Lin’s expression. “Three years after you went missing, the retroact rain began again. The same events repeated themselves, just as when you first manifested as a phantom. By avoiding the deployment of troops during the retroact rain, we managed to lower casualties significantly. It was a calculated move, and it saved countless lives."
Jiyan’s frustration with Geshu Lin’s disappearance simmered beneath the surface, evident in the way his hands clenched at his sides. He took another step closer, the tension between them palpable. The breeze played with Jiyan’s hair, while it passed through Geshu Lin as if he were not there, a reminder of their different states of being—one alive, the other a spectral presence.
“You talk of sacrifice, and I understand its necessity,” Jiyan continued, his voice softer now, almost a whisper. “But your disappearance…your sacrifice…it left a void. It left us without a leader, without a guide." Jiyan's expression hardened as he continued, his frustration evident in the tension of his jaw and the clenching of his fists. "Your sacrifice, your disappearance—it was a choice you made. But that doesn't mean it was the only option. When you talk about sacrifice, about leaving something behind… I don't agree with the way you vanished."
Jiyan's eyes softened for a moment as he regarded Geshu Lin, a hint of something deeper flickering beneath the surface. He reached out, his fingers almost touching the space where Geshu's shoulder would have been. He stepped back, the momentary vulnerability replaced by a steely resolve. "I will fight, and I will lead, but not by sacrificing the lives of those who follow me. There is another way, General, and I will find it. When I do fall, it will not be because I chose to disappear. It will be because I chose to fight for every life, for every chance to avoid unnecessary loss."
Jiyan's eyes locked onto Geshu Lin's, a silent challenge burning within them. "And perhaps, when that time comes, there will be more left of me than there was of you. Not because I seek to outshine you, but because I choose a different path. One that honors the lives we fight for, and the sacrifices we make—not out of desperation, but out of hope."

The weight of their shared history, compounded by the relentless onslaught of phantoms from the retroact rain, hung heavy between them. Jiyan couldn’t shake the sense of wariness that had become second nature in this world. "Evidence is subject to perspective," Jiyan replied, his voice steady but edged with defiance. "And perspectives can be flawed."
Geshu Lin's quiet laugh, though seemingly amused, held an undercurrent of a challenge that Jiyan recognized all too well. The words stung, but Jiyan held his ground. "Diligence in the face of adversity isn't heroism, it's necessity. We can't afford to be reckless."
Jiyan’s expression hardened. He knew the harsh realities of war better than most. The countless casualties, the ever-present shadow of death—it was all a part of the battlefield's grim calculus. But he refused to let that reality strip him of his principles, no matter how dire the circumstances. "The nature of war won't change," he conceded, his voice somber. "But our choices within it define us. I won't become another cog in a machine that sacrifices lives without thought. If that makes me a fool, so be it."
He took a step closer to Geshu Lin, his eyes locking onto the older man's with an intensity that bordered on defiance. "You may see yourself in me, but I am not you. I won't let this war consume me. And I won’t let it consume those who fight under my command."
For a moment, the two stood in silent understanding, the weight of their past and the uncertain future hanging heavily between them. Jiyan knew that one day, like all who walked the path of a warrior, he too would fall. But it wouldn’t be today, and it wouldn’t be because he abandoned his convictions.

Jiyan turned to face the phantom and address him as he was spoken to. The cool breeze of the night danced around, making his teal hair flow behind him. His eyes studied the phantom's expressions as he took a step towards the former General.
While many had turned their heads away from Geshu Lin's legacy, Jiyan still had respect towards the man. One unfortunate incident did not change that and he only wished that the circumstances were different. The General looked the same as he last saw him, composed yet his eyes sharply looking at Jiyan almost as if Geshu Lin could see right through him at the moment.
"My decisions were similar, yes but it did not come with unnecessary sacrifices. Yes, we lost good people that day but we weren't fighting against each other or with our pasts due to the effects of the Retroact Rain." Jiyan's jaw tightened as he tried to justify his decision. "In the end, Overthrax still lives and will return. That much is certain. So are the outcomes really that different?" Jiyan let go of the grip on his sword, letting his hands fall to his sides.

As the phantom took a step closer to Jiyan, he his jaw clenched followed by the slight furrow of his brows. Was the former general planning something? No, it just seemed like Geshu Lin was trying to reason with him or push his buttons. "That is a generalisation and you know it." His eyes flashed at Geshu Lin. He felt like he was a Ranger again, trying to get the general to understand his perspective.
"I may not be able to save everyone..." Jiyan whispered in a low tone, looking away from the phantom. He knew that but that doesn't mean he wouldn't stop trying. After all, he was the hand that guided the scalpel in this war. "... but that doesn't mean I would sacrifice good rangers unnecessarily."
Jiyan had long forgiven Geshu Lin's choice of pushing in all the troops to fight during the battle of the crescent, under the Retroact Rain. Comrades in arms fought against each other, unable to discern reality from phantoms. To them, the past and present were indistinguishable while Geshu Lin charged ahead to quell the threat that was posed by Overthrax. Many suriving Rangers still grappled with the psychological impact of that day. He closed his eyes, letting out a long breath before looking back at Geshu's scrutinising gaze.

His interactions with Rover may have been brief, but Jiyan was left with a profound impact from them. Not only did Rover selflessly protect Jinzhou by risking their lives, they'd assisted him in staving off another TD outbreak due to a Sonoro Sphere that personally might have involved an incident from his past. "My intuition tells me that they will not be swayed so easily."
But, Rover was also missing their memories and it wasn't clear to anyone as to which faction was Rover initially aligned to. "If Jué trusts them, then I suppose we should too." He exhaled a long breath, closing his eyes at the mention of Jué. He'd often wondered if the situation would have been different if the sentinel had chosen to protect and bless Geshu Lin instead of himself.
Jiyan's brows twitched as he heard the taunting tone of the former General. Every life was precious and as a medic, he'd taken an oath to save as many lives as he could. Being a General was no different. "Should caring for a life really only be an afterthought? You of all people should know how much potential a life would hold if it lives to see another day..." His gaze drifted back to the Emortia flowers laying on the ground. Each Emortia plant in Knell Square represented a life lost and even the former general had a place amongst the sea of flowers.
