every week, i'll answer 2-5 questions about the student characters in A WONDERFUL DANGANRONPA, generally taken from various "OC quizzes" etc. (you can also send asks!) this is one way to get to know the characters while the visual design process takes place.

(note: these questions will focus mostly on the student characters, because throwing Usami and other figures into the mix makes things complex fast.)

1. Are any of your characters related by blood to canon characters?

three of them, verifiably. one is, of course, Yaeko Togami. (that's not a spoiler, i'd hope.) the rest are a mystery for now. let the theorizing begin

2. Which characters have unusual talents (beyond their Wonder)?

Teisuke knows the way to kill any ghoulie, goblin, ghost or gremlin from any culture. he carries around about forty holy symbols at any given opportunity and he's not afraid to use them. well, he's a little afraid to use them. measurably afraid to use them? uh, to have to use them. you know?

Fubu's built about thirty massive treehouses in his life and even now, as an adult in a killing game, wants to build more.

Hachihei may be the Monastery's illiterate groundskeeper, but he is probably the most reliable guy around in terms of Shining Era history. it borders on a hyperfixation, but hyperfixations are potentially useful in a killing game during the post apocalypse.

3. Which characters would get mad that someone left the door open?

at the top of the scale would be Hikari, who would assume you were raised in a cave during the Paleolithic era and note never to trust you for the rest of her life. middle of the ground would be Six, who might grumble but get up to close the door herself. on the bottom of the scale is Wisteria, who would smile and wink and whisper, Oh, good. <hic> Let them watch. you don't know what she means by this because you're just having a dinner date, but it's fine.
