@goatfated || Encountered a Fellow Goat!

Dusk had fallen upon the forest locale the cleric had found himself in. It had been a mere few hours since camp had been set-up before the night had come, yet only now was the moon beginning to rise within the star filled sky. The only other source of light that graced the hitsujimimi's temporary rest was that of the crackling fire before him. Times like these were certainly enjoyable after a long day's travel traversing the untamed lands of the River Kingdoms. Tranquil scenes such as these, surrounded by near darkness of the woods granted him a solace within.

It was upon throwing a bit more wood to the flames did a sudden noise catch his ears. His crimson gaze shifted towards the edges of light, his eyes able to see much farther in truth, caught sight of another figure. Instinctively, a dagger suddenly manifested within his right hand as he stood. Thankfully his chain mail armor still adorned upon his body should the other be a threat, yet it was noticing them that a smile began to shift over the hitsujimimi's features. Seeing another, albeit much shorter, of his kind was a true blessing! In fact, something about their appearance somehow was similar to that of his own in a way. The last time he bore witness to those of his kind was back in his home village when he first left.

"I never thought I'd see another goat hitsujimimi like myself out here! Praise the All-Mother!" Faust smiled, causing the dagger to disappear in an instant. "Would you like to join me? I have some extra rations, but I'm also waiting on the fish I caught to finish cooking if you want a hot meal."

It was at least a step in the right direction! In truth the village itself was quite small, as was the relative population of fellow goat hitsujimimi, but surely bringing the other along would bring them both joy in their own way. So Faust nodded in agreement at Goatwin's words. While it might take some time to traverse the wilds to his home, a thought crossed his mind. Maybe that item could help them in this situation. There was only one real way to find out.

Once finished with his meal, tossing the skewer into the fire before him, Faust began to rummage in a satchel upon his hip. It might have taken him a moment or two, but, in the end, a smile crossed his lips as he'd found what he was looking for. Soon enough a dark wood talisman would be produced before his gaze shifted over the object. The talisman itself appeared to resemble that of a twisted, black charred tree without any leaves no more than three inches in length. A subtle, yet ominous dark green and deep blue seemed to resonate on the object similar to glowing eyes and veins.

"There might actually be another way to get there faster. We can either rest here and travel by foot through the forest until we get there, might be a few weeks at worst, or we might be able to use this trinket my aunt gave me. She said if I ever wanted to return home I could use it, but it was a one-way trip if I did."

[⛧] The shorter goatt perked his ears at the mention of going to Faust's hometown. A village that was supposed to home more of their kind, and the thought made warmth spread through him. To see others of their race alive and well, despite it all, gave him hope. Something he hadn't had in years.

"That sounds like a good place to start." Goatwin nodded. "We can rest up and leave whenever you want."

Visiting diners used to be your favorite part of hunts. You'd travel solo and always order half the menu as a celebration after a successful one. Now they just reminded you of the freedom you lost. A pistol snugly tucked away in a holder on Dean's waist, a pair of handcuffs in case you tried anything too reckless.

"Enjoying your pie, darling?" His words were sweeter than those of an incubus, yet more foreboding than the sound of a demon's voice. 

That crazed glint never left his eyes. You swear he must've been tainted by something—infected—to become this obsessed.

"Sam will eventually find us. Castiel will stop you. I don't understand why you're doing this." He chuckled sweetly. Anyone who couldn't hear the words of your conversation would think he's the dotting boyfriend doing his best to soothe the worries of his partner.

"They won't."

You have no idea how many antique maps i scoured through to make these drawings. Halfway through it stopped being "collecting references" and it just started being me lost in ancient books and wikipedia pages. I loved every second of it. Did you know that etymologically speaking, the caravel is much closer to the crab than it is to the carrack ? I thought this was interesting.
