I have slowly been making my way into the asoiaf lore but I’m curious where the backstory on blood raven is🤔

Okay, so I'm no expert or anything, but I'll provide a brief crash course:

Brynden Rivers, son of Melissa Blackwood and Aegon IV Targaryen, known as one of the many Great Bastards. His defining features are his white hair, pale skin, and red eyes caused by being born an albino. He also has a winestain birth mark on his cheek resembling a raven, some say, the origin of the nickname Bloodraven. He was legitimized with his other siblings on Aegon IV's death bed, causing a sucession crisis.

He was a Targaryen loyalist during the Blackfyre Rebellions, I believe a civil war between the Targaryens and the Blackfyres (like the Targaryens but Not) as a result of the sucession crisis. He loses one of his eyes during this war, but he almost never patched it, choosing to keep it out in the open.

He's the last known wielder of Dark Sister, sword of Visenya the Conquerer (currently in Daemon's possession in House of the Dragon) and is a skilled archer.

Under the reign of his half brother Aerys I Targaryen, he served as Hand of the King and Master of Whispers, and then as Hand of the King for Aerys' successor, Maekar I. Eventually he becomes Lord Commander of the Night's Watch until he (and Dark Sister) vanished one day beyond the Wall.

It's not the end for Brynden, though, as he is in fact, still alive during the events of Game of Thrones as the Three Eyed Crow/Raven, the last greenseer. Bran Stark's mentor.

I'm very fascinated by Bloodraven as a character and I think he might be one of the coolest characters in the ASOIAF universe.

A Game of Thrones, Catelyn IV

He eased himself down into a seat and put his hands together. “I wonder if we might trouble you to show us the dagger?”

Catelyn Stark stared at the eunuch in stunned disbelief. He was a spider, she thought wildly, an enchanter or worse. He knew things no one could possibly know, unless…

“What have you done to Ser Rodrik?” she demanded.

Littlefinger was lost. “I feel rather like the knight who arrives at the battle without his lance. What dagger are we talking about? Who is Ser Rodrik?”

“Ser Rodrik Cassel is master-at-arms at Winterfell,” Varys informed him. “I assure you, Lady Stark, nothing at all has been done to the good knight. He did call here early this afternoon. He visited with Ser Aron Santagar in the armory, and they talked of a certain dagger. About sunset, they left the castle together and walked to that dreadful hovel where you were staying. They are still there, drinking in the common room, waiting for your return. Ser Rodrik was very distressed to find you gone.”

“How could you know all that?”

“The whisperings of little birds,” Varys said, smiling.

“I know things, sweet lady. That is the nature of my service.” He shrugged.

To the people who defend the slave trade and demonize Daenerys for trying to end it, I have this to say. The slave trade has been around for over five thousand years since the days of the Old Empire of Ghis. They spread their influence over their colonized lands in Slaver's Bay and Sothoryos, enslaving everyone they find along the way. When the Valyrian Freehold conquered them, they convinced them to practice slavery, further spreading their trade. Tyroshi slavers even sail far north beyond the wall to enslave wildlings. We know for a fact that most of the free cities are bigger than any city in Westeros and some are inhabited by well over a million people. Volantis and Meereen are far larger than all of the cities in Westeros and most likely have slave populations that number in the hundreds of thousands. Across the known world, there are millions of slaves, for thousands of years they've captured, broken, and trained people to fit their need for slave servants, soldiers, and bed slaves, simply because they think they're entitled to it. How many hundred million, maybe over a billion, have had their lives taken from them in that time? While you defend the slavers and their practices, traditions, culture, economy, and freedoms. Who's defending the people whose lives they've destroyed? Daenerys is, she tried to make peace with them at great cost to herself, and now that she'll take a more decisive stance against slavery and the masters and answer them with fire and blood you all try to paint her out as a mad tyrant while she's seeking to overthrow the real tyrants who've spread their terror as far south as the Summer Isles, as far north as Hardhome, and as far east as Qarth. You want others to have her dragons (Euron, Faegon, Jon, etc) because you believe that they're entitled to them even though they'll use them for their own selfish needs (destroying Old Town, taking the Iron Throne, taking back Winterfell) while Daenerys is using them to smash a slave trade that has ruined the lives of millions every day for the past five thousand years! You all think she's a spoiled narcissistic tyrant even though she grew up poorer than any of the other POVs and knows what it's like to be bought, sold, and raped (It does not matter that she later came to care for Drogo). She's done nothing but try to help others with the power she gains for herself and while she dreams of going to Westeros she decides to stay exactly where she is in Meereen to ensure the freedom of the people she liberated. Would any other character we've seen thus far put aside their own selfish ambitions in this magnitude? Slavery is a practice that needs to be destroyed by any means necessary and when she returns with Drogon and the Dothraki and finally shows them the meaning of fire and blood I will be cheering her on while you all bitch and moan about the poor slave owners.

Supongo que es la edad

Un día me obsesioné con los bollitos al vapor, por un lado porque TDAH, pero también vegana, y hay muy pocos alimentos callejeros que pueda comprar, y me hizo muy feliz toparme con un personaje de anime que disfrutó tanto como yo ese descubrimiento.

Últimamente me he encontrado consumiendo animes que no tienen la típica estructura de "conflicto por resolver" o "relación que consumar". El escenario y los personajes se mueven en un amplio rango: magos, godínez, villanos, extraterrestres, asesinos a sueldo, preparatorianos, yakuzas, escritores, gatos... El punto es que en estas historias no hay nudo, tampoco desenlace, creo que las llaman slice of life. Siempre que comenzaba una, dudaba mucho en seguir viéndola, incluso cuando terminaba me quedaba un poco decepcionada, y creo que el problema era lo que esperaba de la serie, lo confirmo cuando leo comentarios de personas que las abandonan por lo aburridas que les terminan pareciendo.

La clave es ésta: el valor de cada uno de los episodios radica en los detalles, la cotidianidad retratada de tal manera que ir al 7-eleven a comprarte un bollito es una alegoría sobre las formas en las que puedes compensarte por el gran trabajo que haces cada día; todo el background que hay cuando una persona desconocida te hace una recomendación, la belleza en las interacciones casuales, lo sublime que puede ser cocinar, algo tan simple como picar las verduras, para después degustar cada bocado. En resumen, estas series son una visión mindfulness de la vida, y verlas me parece equiparable a una práctica estoica, como cuando estoy meditando y al retomar mis actividades es más fácil notar la belleza que me rodea a cada instante en la trivialidad de mi existencia.

Aquí les dejo algunas de las que más me han gustado, no las consideren precisamente recomendaciones porque son radicalmente distintas tanto en temática como en calidad, las hay con un increíble desarrollo de personajes, otras tocan temas muy fuertes, o también te pueden dar un coma diabético, en fin, sólo quería compartirles este otro lado del anime que estoy disfrutando enormemente.

Nota: pongo los títulos en las etiquetas, me hace mucha gracia es tendencia a nombrarlas con frases larguísimas aunque me dificulta horriblemente memorizarlas. xD

Reyna is often approached by other adventurers and treasure seekers to aid in a search for treasure. Even those from that were visiting from other dimensions were no exception. She has had decent experience with treasure finding after all, and being known as the Divine of Rivelon meant she had a large pool of resources with which to draw from. Of course, she often lacked any free time with which to go treasure hunting. But she has finally been able to squeeze a bit out recently, and has opened up her palace to anyone seeking her aid for a treasure.

And it seems she would get a very unique proposal as she sees a rat with a red hat and cape approaching her. "Well now, you have a very lovely sense of style! Welcome, I am Reyna, known as the Divine." She says happily.

Ordinarily, it was usually he that would be making the sudden appearances. It was enough to feel the slightest bit put out about stealing his thunder. Eyebrows arched at the sight of a teapot on the head, before slowly turning his gaze back to the face of the new arrival.
