to be honest, i truly think rhaenys, rhaenyra and shiera were the it girls of their time. shiera especially. men killed themselves after being rejected by her? brynden proposed a million times but she rejected because she loved seeing him jealous?? bathed in blood to keep her beauty??? count me in

I love the Targaryens, more the women than the men. The women are cool and brave and kind, and then there are the men. Almost every single problem that arose in their house can be traced back to the men fucking up. Maegor, Aegon the Usurper, Aegon the Unworthy. 

Maegor became King because Aenys was too indecisive and wanted to please everyone, but Maegor was a cruel and unpredictable king. Aegon the Usurper caused the dance of the dragons that led to the extinction of dragons, and we all know what Aegon the Unworthy did. 

Some men are truly great, like Lord Bloodraven, Aegon the Unlikely, Daeron the Good and Aegon the Conqueror, but most are just middling. Someone’s gonna mention the Conciliator, but fuck Jaehaerys and Aemond the Kinslayer too. 

Jaehaerys is a misogynist and his actions led to the death or dispossession of every single one of his daughters, except for Daenerys I, who died of the shivers. His actions or inaction led to Viserys becoming king over Rhaenys, further cementing the male line taking precedence over the female.

Aemond isn't even the most iconic one-eyed man in his house, and that's saying something. He rode the largest dragon in the world and had a sapphire eye, and he couldn't manage to be interesting. He was a coward who fled from battles between equals and was killed by a 50-year-old man and his much smaller dragon.
