So. I finally read this fuckass comic that's been talked about again recently. I'd only ever heard about it before so I decided to check it out. I'm gonna go through some of the pages and give my two cents because why not?

I'm not gonna lie to you guys, I don't get how Katara is "out of character" here. This is very reminiscent of Book 1 Katara, who was playful and teasing and immature and acted like, y'know, a kid. I know Bryke might have you thinking otherwise, but she shouldn't baby Aang all the time.

Especially because he is supposed to be practicing and just... isn't doing it. This was her way of lightheartedly trying to motivate him, which I think is pretty on brand for her.

You could make the argument that Katara is being dismissive here, but honestly? The subject clearly makes her uncomfortable. She was kissed (without consent) before a major battle by someone she saw as a friend. Of course she was uncomfortable. She has every right to not want to talk about or acknowledge it.

Calling that out of character is not doing Kataang shippers any favors when the most common criticism against them is their tendency to brush aside Katara's autonomy.

(At first when I saw this panel, I thought maybe she was being a little abrasive towards him. But... She's the same way with Toph in The Runaway. This isn't behavior that came out of nowhere. Why is it that it's only a problem when it comes to Aang?)

I guess a better question here is, is Aang out of character? For me, it's actually yes and no.

I think they made him overly mopey. Like yes, he's had his moments in the show, but drawing hearts in the dirt? What kind of shit is this??

Not to mention his weird little monologue inside the rock ("Who's really playing games here, Katara?" Are you actually serious, Bryke? Idc what anyone says, those words would never leave Aang's mouth). It feels like a bid to make him more sympathetic so that the reader feels bad for him. I'm fine labeling that OOC.

However...

Do I think Aang would purposely physically hurt Katara? No. Do I think Aang would get so caught up in his emotions that he stops being mindful of himself and his surroundings? Well.

Both times you could label an accident. But both times resulted from Aang being careless and being unable to regulate himself. Now, you could make the argument that this is OOC because Aang learned and developed past this point. And I would agree, if we were talking about Book 2 Aang or even mid to late Book 1 Aang.

But honestly, character regression is very on point for Book 3 Aang. Especially post DOBS. Most of you already know about my beef with Book 3 Aang, so I won't get into that.

Now, I do think that Aang would be a little more apologetic and guilty considering how regretful he was in Book 1. But him prioritizing his own feelings instead of how he affected her? Completely on-brand. In EIP he was upset about how he messed up his chances with Katara, not that he kissed her without consent and upset her.

But even if this couldn't fit Katara and Aang as characters, even if they were outlandishly OOC and completely different from the characters we knew, that doesn't really matter. This comic is official and canon. Just like the comics where Aang ignores her in favor of his weird fanclub and she swallows her hurt and puts up with it. Just like LOK where Aang is a neglectful father and Katara is a mild mannered housewife.

You can dislike this comic and criticize its portrayals all you want. But it's still canon. You can't ignore canon, especially when your main argument for Kataang being better than Zutara is that it's canon

I never considered hawkahey before but I love it! Father is so calm and sweet except when worked up, whereas Hawkeye is always so acerbic and snarky except with the ones that he loves. The very definition of dog and cat boyfriends. :3 Thank you for opening my eyes!!

the big thing i like about hawkahy, besides the ten metric tons of narrative symbolism they can carry together, is the way i think they resist a lot of your typical shippy/romcom templates. i've spent a LOT of time in fandom spaces over the years and i've gotten mostly pretty tired of the same formulas, especially when half the time it requires chopping off canon aspects of either/both characters just to make them fit. at least, i try to be conscious of a few different red/blue, this/that dichotomies when i write/draw them, and play around with the sorts of expectations one might have for them both as individuals and as a pair.

i actually have A Lot Of Thoughts about this so i'm gonna put my yapping under a readmore:

i think the show itself does a lot to twist expectations, by virtue of having begun as a satirical comedy (which is still what i think it does best), a genre which relies very heavily on ironic inversions of common character/social archetypes that the audience would be coming in with preestablished tastes/expectations for. hawkeye seems like a self-centered hedonist, but he's also highly introspective and articulate, so he's often quite capable of waxing poetic about why and how he does what he does, instead of just acting on raw instinct with no higher thought. meanwhile, mulcahy's entire thesis as a character is just lampshading or inverting every expected feature of a priest character; if he's the "father", then the other personnel are latchkey kids. the last thing i want to do is flatten any of that!

here's some specific tropes i try to keep in mind and intentionally upset, whether explicitly or implicitly, in my hawkahy art/fic:

hawkeye as the aggressive boundary-violator, mulcahy as the helpless victim having his lines crossed— hawkeye can be pretty pushy and insistent, but he's not one to commit actual assault, especially not to someone who wouldn't hurt a fly. even in an early-seasons scenario, i don't think he would move much faster than what mulcahy's comfortable with, at least not with anything more serious than jokes and come-ons; i think he prefers to awaken things in people and encourage them to loosen up, rather than pull them along by himself.

also, mulcahy is not a pushover; he just knows when to pick his battles and prefers to bite his tongue. he's certainly blown up on hawkeye before. it would also be fairly easy for mulcahy to throw hawkeye over his shoulder or snap the guy in half like a twig if he wanted to. when mulcahy does get pressured into doing something he doesn't want to do, it's the focus of an entire episode, i.e. the exception that proves the rule. if hawkeye's going to tempt him into something, it'll be because he really wanted to deep down and thus made that conscious choice, not because he got drunk at a party and hawkeye decided to try and cop a feel.

hawkeye as someone who needs a tumultous relationship and thus won't be satisfied by stability— i talked more about this in a previous post, but i think hawkeye does want to settle down eventually. like i said, he comes off as a hopeless romantic. we know he watched a lot of movies; he almost certainly grew up on those "screwball comedies" that were so big in the 30s and featured neurotic nutjobs pratfalling their way into a genuine happily-ever-after. i don't think he'd want to settle down with just anybody, nor do i think he really places a lot of value in fulfilling those milestones of "get married by X age, buy a house with Y rooms, and pump out Z kids" just for the sake of fulfilling them and keeping up with the joneses, but i think he'd love to marry for love. again, he was certainly planning on it before the war, and he admitted that he's still carrying a lot of hurt from having that domestic future taken away from him so abruptly.

mulcahy as the innocent ingenue— this one is complex, and of course i'll preface this by saying i'm predisposed to not being all that intrigued or entertained by genuinely innocent characters. i find them to be something of a nonstarter, narratively speaking. beyond that, they tend to be unrealistic in certain settings and demographics. yes, there will always be people living in a bubble for every possible background and age group, but i find it implausible that a man could be 30 or 40 years old and enlisted in the military and still somehow be as naive as a sea sponge in a pineapple.

mulcahy is definitely not all that worldly, and starts off with a somewhat myopic view of his role in the grand scheme of things, particularly as it pertains to the motivations and effects of missionary work. he did join the military of his own volition, but i also think the mulcahy we see at the end of the war (and even at several points in the middle of it) is not the same mulcahy that volunteered to be here in the first place. what's more, we see from lines like "i know all about motels" or his hesitance to say hello to his family on camera that he probably picked up a lot of the hard lessons and ugly experiences that are typical growing up working-class in a big city. i think it's a disservice, both to the character and to the broader themes of the show, to assume that mulcahy's optimism and cheeriness must come from a place of inexperience. yes, he has plenty of room to grow, but he wasn't born yesterday, and i think his optimism is far more the result of a conscious choice to do good than an innocence to the evil in the world.

as for sexual stuff in particular, he mostly reacts to hawkeye's promiscuity with knowing winks and smiles, and even jokes with him about it, which i think is pretty clearly enabling him. sure, he bolts out of those VD talks, but with henry's public speaking skills, can you really blame him for eagerly excusing himself? plus, he has a strong incentive to act more innocent than he really is, because if he plays dumb, it means he won't be preemptively excluded from the conversation by people who think he's easily offended by bawdier talk. he may not be up to date on all the slang, nor is he always observant of certain subtle cues, but he's not a pearl-clutcher; that role is fulfilled by frank, margaret, and charles, so it would be redundant to make mulcahy also gasp and scold people like hawkeye for having premarital sex. mulcahy largely serves to validate hawkeye as being in the right in these disputes. which brings me to:

hawkeye as the amoral maniac, mulcahy as the moral compass— this one especially flies in the face of the spirit of the show, i think. hawkeye is doing his absolute fucking best! he would do anything to save a life, and it doesn't matter whose. he's willing to run into active artillery fire to rescue enemy soldiers, to stay behind and monitor a patient while the camp moves out, and to potentially get himself killed just to stand by his principle of never carrying a gun. he sleeps around as a coping mechanism, but more than that, i think he also does it out of a genuine desire to share some happiness with others in an otherwise miserable and dehumanizing place.

even mulcahy doesn't care that hawkeye does all that other stuff on the side. he wouldn't do a lot of it himself, but that's not an issue to him. again, his entire schtick as a character is being "unpriestly" to comedic/dramatic effect, like winning at poker, getting drunk before a sermon, etc.; he's far more accommodating than he is preachy. he has a profound respect for hawkeye that can be seen even in season one, because hawkeye always looks out for the frightened and vulnerable, and that's what matters to him above all else. mulcahy loathes lip service and values action over feel-good talk, which means he cares more about hawkeye doing the right thing than the superficially squeaky-clean thing.

pairing hawkeye with mulcahy invites some incredibly rich commentary on what "morality" even means, but i think getting hung up on the fact that hawkeye drinks, gambles, and has a LOT of premarital sex is completely missing the point and only reinforcing the puritan ideals that mash itself is trying so hard to upset and dissect.

the cute, sweet, blushy, short one is the sub and/or bottom— nah son. hawkeye is always talking about getting pregnant. mulcahy works out and likes to roughhouse. you do the math here.

ALL THIS TO SAY... i really encourage people to look beyond the stereotypes of horndog and cinnamon roll, or frat boy and nerd, or whatever other thought-terminating cliche one may be tempted to apply to these guys. hawkeye is a sleaze, but he's also sensitive and articulate. mulcahy is a sweetheart, but he's stubborn and resilient. they both go so much deeper than the superficial tropes, and what makes them work so well as a couple IS their ability to bring out those interesting, lesser-known facets in each other, both as characters interacting with each other and as symbols placed in juxtaposition to serve the themes of the show.

UNCHAINED SANGUINEOUS HEARTMAKER {Guilty Gear}

...Did I pull another "Desdinova" purely out of sheer A.B.A hopium? (I kept the lines sketchy, though, because I could not be arsed to try and mimic Strive's linework style again after the pain from last time ahjsdgajhsdgadk)

So, those Season 3 character survey results, huh? The A.B.A hopium is real. I really do wonder what they'd do with her if she was brought to Strive, so I decided to try my hand at a "Strive-ified" A.B.A design.

So, design background info:

So, she's a... weirdo homunculus, right? An artificial human, created by a mad scientist she never met, so she was alone and never really learned how to... "people". That key in her head also keeps on reminding me of the bolts lodged in the sides of pop-culture-ified Adam's (Frankenstein's monster) head. She's also desperately trying to find a human(oid) body for the demon/magical foci Paracelsus/Flament Nagel, who she is deeply in love with. Artificially-created human, medical themes, artificial human form, deeply in love...

So what if she decided that, with her attempts at finding a body for him repeatedly failing (XX endings don't count, XX's canonicity is completely FUCKED lmao), why doesn't she just... create one herself instead?

In other words, the creation becomes the creator. Lil' bit of "Bride of Frankenstein" thrown in, if the guy making the bride (or in this case, groom) was the monster itself.

So, making her into a key-axe-wielding mad scientist homunculus.

I tried to make her pose reminiscent of a dance move, specifically a "dip".

GG ABA Strive fandesign sheet 01

The first drawing I got done of my design for A.B.A (featuring a base-shapes Paracelsus for scale). Featuring her color palette (F1 is base flesh, F2 is scarring, H is hair, B is bandages, C1 is primary coat color, C2 is secondary coat color, C3 is tertiary coat color, E is "edges", M1 is one of the metal colors, A is "accents", M2 is the second metal color, and the square below that is the eye colors), weird ragged patchwork "lab-coat", boot details, "branding", and some of the text on her design.

- The phrase printed along the front edge of her coat (and the heels of her boots) is "LOCK&SEE" (the "&" stylized to look like/replaced with a keyhole symbol), a spin on the phrase "Lock and Key", fitting with her obsession with keys and tendency towards twisting sayings/phrases into mondegreens. Also implies hiding something.

- The brand on the back of her coat is meant to look like the coffin shape on the back of Paracelsus's head during Moroha Mode, with the nose hole and right eye hole visible. Text above it reads "PARACELSUS" (with the P and R stylized to have curved horns in the back like MM Para), and the text underneath reads "FLAMENT NAGEL" (with similar "horn" stylization on the F).

- The scarring is damage from her not wearing proper protective gear during her experiments (because she doesn't seem like one to wear proper PPE lmao), much of it taking up most of the left side of her upper torso/arm (meant to mirror Strive Faust's stitching).

- She's both grimy and very... "DIY", so her stitching is very hodgepodge.

- The text along the stitching on the back of her coat reads "The More The Moodier.", a play on one of her mondegreen win-quotes in XX (against I-No: "People say "the more the gloomier", but she's just too much to take...") but with the same alliteration as "the more the merrier" which it was derived from.

- The brand on the right side of her shorts is the same as on her back, but without the "FLAMENT NAGEL" and with "PARACELSUS" underneath instead of above.

- The key markings (gloves, boots) all have the same key-blade shape as Paracelsus.

- I had some trouble figuring out some of her colors, as they differed between the sprites (blue metal, glove. and trim) and official artwork (dark brown metal + glove, blue trim), so I decided to have dark brown for the keys and dark blue for the studded trim and left glove.

- The laces of her boots and the buttons on her coat are meant to resemble Para's mouth stitches

- Made her head-key/neck keys have a little skull decoration similar to some of her XX art (it's very inconsistent).

- Both of the large gloves look the same, with the red bands and Paracelsus-blade key markings.

- The dark blue left-hand glove is (mostly) the same. I like to think that it's her "woobie", what with her tendency to get attached to inanimate objects.

- The dark blue cropped tank-top is meant to only be visible in Moroha. The text reads "MOCK&KEY" (the "&" stylized to look like/replaced with a stylized keyhole symbol, the top part of the keyhole meant to look like a coffin), another spin on "Lock and Key" like the previously-mentioned "LOCK&SEE" compounded with her believing herself to be superior to humans. Moroha is what was locked-up.

The fourth sheet I made, featuring Paracelsus and his colors.

I honestly didn't change much lmao. His design is already weird by GG standards, mostly just tweaked some things.

- Made his eyes asymmetrical. Right has small iris and no pupil, left has beady pupil. Wanted to make him look "cartoony (western) neurotic/nervous" while hinting at his "main" glowy eye in Moroha being his right eye.

- I blurred/smudged the blood along the bottom edge to imply that A.B.A dragging him around wore away some of it.

- I added some spikes to his collar for a "punk" look, which glow red in Moroha.

- I kept his mouth stitches in Moroha. The mouth-corner stitches remain, while the middle stitches are tied around his left horn.

The final sheet I made, featuring mechanic ideas, "meta" stuff, and a design for repurposing an older move into a reversal super.

- Non-replenishable resources don't really fly in Strive, so I decided to make them replenishable through an alternate version of Bonding (a.k.a Keygrab). One Keygrab variant for Moroha, one Keygrab variant for a bloodpack. Starts off with no bloodpacks. Max three bloodpacks at a time. Functionality basically the same as XX.

- Turned Altercation (i.e. Enter Goku Moroha) into a Moroha-exclusive reversal super. Goku Moroha is not something that flies by modern fighting game characters, let alone Strive, so GM would definitely get axed. Still keeping Altercation as an absolute weirdo of a move, taking different resources depending on how much she has of each.

- Not sure what to actually do with Moroha's function/moveset, but having an "Install" state is the big thing that defines A.B.A's playstyle, so she'd probably keep at least base Moroha.

- Evidence: Concealment becomes a full reversal that only hits one hit as opposed to three, because most people cancel it after the first hit anyway lmao

what i would do if i was a gilmore girls writer:

april storyline:

i feel like instead of the april storyline liz could have given birth a bit earlier and and luke and lorelai would have to step in to help raise doula a lot. first of all we’d get to see them with a baby, which is cute. but there’s also a lot of room for conflict in deciding how to handle the situation. aka conflict that makes for good TV (”should we even have kids together if we can’t even do this?”, ”we have to make these decisions together, we’re getting married!” etc.) but isn’t life altering enough to ruin the couple. it also draws parallells to the jess storyline (which was a huge part of the earlier seasons), luke’s established family issues and his earlier disagreements with lorelai which makes luke’s character arc and the show as a whole more cohesive and satisfying. i could see this drama lasting for all of season 6. in the end because these characters have grown, they would actually figure it out somehow. and then they’d have season 7 to settle down and be happy. i actually do love april but they could have made her a young sheldon type of guest character at yale and paris could have developed a soft spot for her or something.

literati in season 3:

so i feel like they wanted to show us that this is rory’s bad boy phase. they made their relationship about dean a lot and most of the episodes centered around them were like ooooh jess did this sucky thing and dean never would have. and i get that maybe they needed to try something new and didn’t want to just recreate the boyfriend storyline with a new guy (aka see how he fits into her grandparents world, saying i love you for the first time etc). they already did the good stuff with dean so they decided to make this rory’s bad decision and only came up conflict to show us. but they didn’t even fully commit bc rory didn’t change with jess the way she did with logan. that was her bad boy phase, literati was always supposed to be something more. so instead of showing how bad of a couple this was compared to dean/rory, they could have drawn different parallels. because dean/rory was not a perfect relationship and they could have shown how in some ways why this is better for rory. what does she want? not her grandparents and not her mom. after all the buildup literati was the audience’s favorite and most anticipated couple, so i really think painting it as an unexpected but positive change of direction in rory’s journey would have been worthwhile.

like show us how when they go on dates they want to do the same things (as opposed to donna reed or rory just watching dean’s games). show us how they both want their alone time and them not calling each other every day because rory wants to study and jess has to work can be an OK thing (as opposed to the infamous 14 calls a day). show us how jess maybe doesn’t fit into lorelai and rory’s flow as well as dean did BUT how that’s also ok because rory is getting older and going off to college so this makes sense. but then also show us some god damn character development and lorelai and jess actually learning to get along (pls make that an entire episode’s storyline actually. have them be funny together and make it emotional). and show us nice scenes with luke, lorelai, rory and jess. where was all of this when they were dating??? nowhere to be seen. although i would have liked for luke not to kick jess out (i will make another post of how i would handle jess and luke’s relationship in season 3) i know it had to happen because milo had to leave. and i wouldn’t change major plot points like that because i like jess’ arc too much. but if they had shown everything i wrote here, literati’s realtionship would have canonically been stronger and jess would have at least told rory about not graduating and his dad showing up and why he felt like he had to go before he went.

You know the drill by now

Gamma Gal/Amy...has a sleeper build. Buuut it's nothing too insane, she's just got buff arms. She's also physically stronger than Shadow Guy/Sam.

Jet Pack Guy actually talks to Flash! He greets him right when he comes back from work and tells him about his day while he's doing stuff around his igloo. Sometimes he'll even sit next to his fish bowl on the floor and do some of his work so they can hangout. He also makes pop noises at Flash, the same way we'd meow at a cat,c in hopes that he'd understand him better. Of course Flash can't respond but he actually fully understands JPG and likes listening to his little rambles.

Here's another Jet Pack Guy headcanon for the JPG nation (y'all are eating GOOD tonight huh?): He puts his jet pack on a puffle-sized race car bed. I don't CARE if canonically his jet pack rests on an ACTUAL puffle bed, this idea has taken over my mind. I don't care how silly or ooc it is, it's my truth (/nm btw im just overexaggerating for comedic effect. i rlly love this hc)

You might've noticed this on some of my drawings but I headcanon that G Billy has a beauty mark on the lower left corner of his mouth. There's no hidden meaning behind it this is just me claiming him as a pretty guy lol. I wouldn't be lying if I told you guys that this hc was inspired by Shizuku Hinomori, you know, from Project Sekai (im not rlly into pjsekai anymore but when i was talking to oomf about it this hc just poofed into existence. so uh ty for that sort of former fav character shizuku)

Ok so I saved this one for last because it's a lot darker than the rest of the hcs. So buckle up, we're in for a mood shift: During Frankys execution simulation in Penguinronpa, The Penguin Band weren't dead beforehand, but rather they died during the execution. They were brought out to the edge of the new island, having been informed that Franky was on his way to them. When they were able to see Frankys silhouette in the distance that's when they were brutally stabbed by the icicles. And as they saw him getting closer, from where they were standing, they tried to reach out to him witht heir flippers with what little energy they had left. But we all know how well that must've turned out. They were already dead when Franky finally made it.

And that's all for now! kinda short but whateves! I obviously have more ideas bouncing around in my little brain but I'm thinking of saving them so I could draw them instead.

1 What was the original thought that led to the creation of this character?

I'll answer this for all of the ones I listed! Also I thought it might be fun to include early looks at the characters so I included also some of my first drawings of each of them, as well as their current looks/more recent artworks to compare!

Leigh:

(July 2018 → January 2023)

I was replaying through FFXIV's msq again after already going through it with a Lominsan pirate character (Glassi, my roegadyn) and so I had the insight of already being very attached to Yugiri and Raubahn after playing through msq up through 3.0 once already. So, I made Leigh as someone living in Ul'dah, but I wanted him to have Doman features so I ended up making him half-Doman and half-Ala Mhigan to fit both those things. I like characters with light hair and several other Ala Mhigans already had blonde hair, such as Minfilia and Yda, but my main OC at the time (Cam) was also a blonde so I thought, what else can I do? Thus the bubblegum pink! With Leigh being a thaumaturge, it led to this concept of him being pastel goth too, to contrast with how the rest of the guildmasters look!

Cam:

(December 2009 → September 2022)

I was playing through fallout 3 trying to stick to the canon story of the lone wanderer, but I am a big fan of fallout 1 and 2 so I liked the idea of him maybe not being a vault dweller in the end, but being from the NCR! (this was before new vegas came out, you can imagine the field day I had playing Cam in new vegas too haha, Ulysses like "we both know what happened in California" and I was just pointing at my screen like wow this is For Me Specifically 👀) I still liked the little bits of dialog with Amata in the intro as well as the Trouble on the Homefront quest (as I had already played a bit of fallout 3 on another character by this point and was aware of it) so I wanted to keep that energy, and instead made my OC Nerissa to fulfil that same role as Amata, but as someone he had failed and left behind in the NCR! His main trait of being a cannibal for survival ended up coming about because I was playing him to try and create an evil karma character, but I have such a hard time sticking to evil choices, and found that was a good way to keep his karma down while he also helped people here and there in the wastes! I think it made him a more complex character, where he's killing and doing some unspeakable things but also like, he does still have this moral compass deep down despite how badly he has been warped by his time in the wasteland.

Mallory:

(November 2009 → June 2024)

I wanted to add more characters to Cam's entourage, which at that time consisted of everyone's favorite sardonic ghoul Charon, my ex's OC who was a jet-addicted lowlife (not trying to be disparaging, this is... this is just who he was lol she also described him as being a piece of shit lol TO BE CLEAR!!) and Cam's then-love interest, and my ex's other OC who was another ghoul and was very It's Complicated with Cam as he had had history with his father too. I thought having another kind of ditzy, clueless character who needed his hand held (like the jet addict guy, but a character who wasn't so self-centered) would be nice, so I made Mallory. At that time, he was a sheltered teenager who was already gargantuanly tall and had been living in the mountains of WV with an old man and had survival skills but little practical experience with dealing with other people in the wasteland. One of those characters that just bumbles through life on luck alone, and amazingly had yet to be jaded by the world yet.

(side note, it's so weird to think about Mal in fallout now even though that was his original verse! Even my partner was like, "why was he hanging out with Cam if they're from different canons??" 😂)

Ilsoux:

We wanted to have a character in our wols' story that was something of a mix between what Charlemend already was to Carvallain in canon, and Tywin Lannister LMAO so he's something like, a more intense and harsher take on Charlemend, or at least at the start that was the plan for him! The way his character ended up in the end was more like Fourchenault, but we made Ilsoux first so actually, square enix owes my partner and I some royalties for endwalker!! 😂

I think it is both funny and slightly alarming that there are those who possess an intense dislike for anyone who ship Asha with Star (one person even derisively called this ship “Starsha” but jokes on them i like it xD);

1) “BASIC WHITE TWINK IS MORE POPULAR WITH THIS SHIPPERS THAN THE BLACK HEROINE” I think they conveniently forget that everyone knows what Asha looks like and is more or less fine with her appearance; The Star’s human appearance, on the other hand, has not left the figurative drawing board beyond the art book, therefore it is fun to delve into character design and see how he looks more fleshed out. Also, what do they mean “basic white twink?” I’ve seen plenty of Human/noid!Star concepts with various skin tones/ethnic features/builds. Then again, I explore more social media platforms than just Tumblr.

2) “THESE SHIPPERS KEEP WHITE/LIGHT-WASHING THE HEROINE” They are exploring the concept designs that were shown in the art book. Also, Afro-Latinos/Hispanics have a range of skin and eye colors. Another also: NOT ALL OF THE SHIPPERS CHANGE ASHA’S OFFICIAL APPEARANCE.

3) “WHO’S GOING TO TELL THESE SHIPPERS THAT THE HUMAN STAR IS/WAS GOING TO LOOK LIKE HER GRANDPA?” We already know. We also know that was one of the POTENTIAL options that wounded up being scrapped. Therefore, Starsha headcanons don’t have to be tied to one single idea that could have happened.

4) “WHY ARE YOU SHIPPING ASHA WITH A HUMAN BOY VERSION OF THE LITTLE STAR WHEN _insert canon film character_ IS RIGHT THERE/ASHA DOESN’T NEED A ROMANCE?” First and most important of all, because we can and we want to. Second of all, not all of Starsha shippers headcanon the Star to be male. Third of all, no one has any issues with shipping Asha with any of her canon friends (or even a self-insert) or headcanoning her to be happy single; the only ones I see having any problems with any shipping are the ones who don’t like we are shipping the original concept of the Star and Asha.

Sorry for my rant. I just find it weird that those who don’t ship Star x Asha or who aren’t a fan of the Humanoid Star seem just so offended by the fact that this portion of the fandom exists and is having fun with their headcanons so far. It’s not like our headcanons have any effect on the official WISH Film.

Cuz like--yeah guys none of this actually affects anything IRL of any actual importance so, chill out and go do what you want instead of getting upset other people don't want to do the same? Every Character Ref I've Made So Far

Cassidy

Cassidy comes from a byname that means 'curly-haired', which is part of why it was part of his design from p1. Cassidy being a short king was actually something I went back and forth on-- originally he was going to be 5'7" or so instead of not even cracking 165cm, but there are a couple reasons I went with it. Mostly they're to even more strongly connect him with Clara and to accentuate the frustration he feels at being infantilized. Although I had a strong mental image of his tracheostomy, I actually didn't have a very strong idea of what his scars looked like until I wrote p2ch14. I do like how they ended up looking, and the scars on his chin are designed to be easy to remember and draw the placement of. I call them his whiskers.

Mike

So my Mike really doesn't look that much like his father, especially not as much as he thinks. I get this is controversial but like 1) every canon design we've been given for the two of them is wildly different, 2) Mike's appearance changed drastically from fnaf 4 to SL, and 3) I don't even think that's what the SL line means lol I always thought it was referring to him following William's orders, not... physically looking like his dad. The animatronics have terrible facial recognition. Outside of that Mike's design has to do the most, he does have to look like his dad but also distinct enough from his dad that he felt like an outsider for a lot of his life and he has to pass for white but only if you don't look too closely ergo his is the only ref that had to be completely redone. Twice. I'm mostly happy with it now. Especially lil Mikey.

Liz

Lizard :) she's the only design I just got in one. This goes unstated, but she's actually the one who looks the most like her old man, it just doesn't really kick in until puberty. Because my Bill is blonde it naturally followed, and it matches well with the fact that although Mike is terrified of committing the same sins as his father, Elizabeth wants to be like her dad, and for most of the story has been chasing after his reputation. That said on a meta level, Bill is actually only blonde because Elizabeth is. Her blonde haired green eyed coloration would just be almost impossible unless Bill was just as light or lighter than her, hence me deciding to totally throw out his book design. Before I thought about this I just imagined him as the purple guy sprite. Lol.

Clara

Ignore the fact that this was drawn with my mouse on a completely new software. Clara is pictured here at 16, which actually makes her younger than Cassidy is in his reference! Honestly this kind of only exists because @sketchygainedyoursoul said they were gonna draw something for A Happier Day and so I was like "oh shit I guess I should actually make designs for these characters", but considering she gets a pretty detailed physical description this is mostly just a visualizer and color palette reference. She and Cassidy are meant to look very similar, although she has a much stronger nose and slightly darker coloration. I did try to reference 60s clothing... before proceeding to just make her wear three differently colored polo shirts.

River

Everyone's favorite canonical FNAF character. Vera's also 16 here-- she's actually a few months younger than Clara! She also got a physical description, but that was of her thirty-seven year old self, so this is the first time awkward cocoon stage River has been depicted. It's commented on by Clara, but River's appearance and attitude are kind of in conflict, which is mostly because her parents had very conflicting desires for her growing up. Her mother wanted her to be a good girl on the road to a good marriage, and then her dad wanted a hypercompetent survialist, which... meant she kind of had to be two entirely different people to please both of them. Obviously the whole Michael thing messed with a lot, and then her dad left and died before they ever got to reconcile, so she was dealing with some goddamn emotions at this point in her life.

Bonus: first draft william design I honestly don't like that much but I never drew his updated one

Favorite thing about them: I just love his whole personality loll. He's a crazy, funny little guy that I think is really cool

Least favorite thing about them: Nothing. Only when he gets really mischaracterized by official writers who don't understand him, which happens A LOT

Favorite line: "Father, I imagined you taller."

Brotp: Damian and Jon

Otp: Damijon

Notp: Batcest, any of them that have adults paired up with him, including the canon ones Mar'i x Damian, Cassie x Damian, and Cassandra x Damian

Random headcanon: He can do ballet and it's because it's something Talia taught him while he was growing up in the league and being trained to learn many other things. He's a skilled professional at it now because of this and also bonds with his sister Cass over it and will sometimes even join her in her dancing. He also tries teaching Jon too, which can become fun for them both, and his other friends sometimes as well whenever they get curious or don't actually understand it that much like they think they do. Damian also owns a pair of green ballet slippers, but usually keeps them put away in his closet to keep them safe and clean and only takes them out when he really does want to use them.

Unpopular opinion: Okay sooo, a lot of people believe that Talia's character just gets only more ruined because of Damian's existence or whatever, but I don't believe that at all. Damian may be her son and is big part of her life because of it, but his character itself has nothing to do with hers like that at all when it comes to hateful writers choosing to write her horribly and just as another evil, lunatic villain and whatever else. Some people even say that he stole her story, but he did grow up with her during those 10 years of his, so of course he's gonna have the same life she dealt with and is also gonna have to get through certain issues from it now too because of it. But the point is that if anyone's gonna get blamed for Talia's usual trash characterisation, it should be the writers who hate her, NOT Damian who has many writers of his own who don't even treat him that well or like him that much at all either just like with Talia. Trying to pick on him is never going to fix anything about her. If Talia's ever gonna get anything better that she deserves in comics and other things, it needs to be done by writers who actually have care about her character and don't have anything weird against her that just only causes bad intentions of messing her up and then THAT'S what will finally start doing justice for her. And this not meant as an argument towards anyone or whatever btw, this is just me stating my opinion and beliefs about the whole thing

Song I associate with them: Self love by Metro Boomin & Coi Leray (Mostly because even though Damian may always put on a very confident act and always seems so prideful of himself a lot of the times, he actually has a lot of insecurities underneath all of that and doesn't actually always think so great of himself as a person)

Favorite picture of them: Definitely this very beautiful panel of him ofc💖

I just LOVE the way Gleb Melinkov draws him and gives him his Arab features without holding any of it back as well! He even gives him long lashes (longer than Flatline's even, which I noticed while looking at another panel from this series!), which I really love too!!

Dick

Favorite thing about them: I really always liked his leadership style, especially in the Teen Titans 2003 cartoon, which I grew up with

Least favorite thing about them: Only when he's potrayed as a dumb, clumsy guy in some canon stories just to lift up other characters and put them in a bigger spotlight instead. It makes no sense because he's a professional acrobat and always has been that way since he was a little kid, so how could he ever be so trippy all over the place as if there are invisible banana peels getting in the way everytime?! And he is very smart, especially with all of the important experience he has from his many years of hero work, so he's not dumb either and if he was, he wouldn't have made it so far with this kind of life because of it or ever get much done like he did because he has to overly depend on others knowledge

Favorite line: "Titans Go!"

Brotp: Dick and Starfire, Beast boy, Raven, Cyborg (I know he's friends with many others too, but this is the group I grew up with and am more attached to, so they're my fave to see together)

Otp: Dickkory because they bring the best out in eachother and have so much love for one another too

Notp: DickBabs because I just don't think they really fit that well together at all and most times Barbara just makes Dick feel bad in a lot of ways with how she usually treats him in a romantic relationship, and that's not a healthy thing to deal with at all. And then there's also Batcest and Slade x Dick (which I don't even get at all because Slade is just such a horrible, gross and very toxic guy)

Random headcanon: Years ago, back when he would used to have long hair still, he one time had it tied up in a ponytail and then a villain chopped it off in half while fighting him. Dick was pissed and really kicked their butt for doing that

Unpopular opinion: People always think of Dick as the positive, sunshine guy and then there are the ones who get very mad about it and say that he's actually the angry, tough guy because him being super friendly and happy is just too "ooc". I don't listen to any of that stuff, because I believe that he's actually both. He IS a friendly guy with a warm, charming, humorous attitude that easily attracts others, and is very much an inspiration to many because of his positive, sunshine vibes as a great, hardworking hero, but none of it makes him dumb, weak or gullible, because he IS also the type who can become very serious and gets mad when he needs to be, also doesn't actually take bull from anyone, can be chaotic and crazy, works a LOT, is independent, does have a lot of intelligence and especially experience that should never be forgotten about just because he's nice, and also definitely has the determined mind to take care of things and get them done even though others will sometimes try to tell him what to do, but he doesn't actually listen because he's not the type to easily be controlled that way like a puppy would be and if he believes it's something that needs the attention and it's what should be done and no one else is doing it, then he will do it

Song I associate with them: Annihilate by Metro Bommin, Swae Lee, Lil Wayne & Offset (because it's about being fearless, embracing self strength and individuality, and becoming a much more independent person, and I think that totally fits Dick because he's not the type to fear much and hates being stuck under Batman's shadow and having independence is something that always had an important role in how Dick's life goes)

It's very nice and really shows the struggle he goes through as a hero a lot of the times. Also, I really always liked the way he draws Dick, because he doesn't just look like everyone else and isn't sharing same face syndrome with his brothers and Bruce either, it's just a look that's unique to only him and it fits him very well. It's the exact way I always imagine him looking like whenever I envision him in my mind, even the hairstyle that's given to him by this artist too!!!

Then Ivy has the second longest friendship with Mc (a character I haven't introduced yet), then Louise, Eddy (also a character I haven't introduced yet, who is a patient), Andreas and finally Lloyd.

Haha, that's the title of my game! The loverboy is the serial killer, whose identity is not known. He might not even be a man! Finding out who he is, is the main point of the game.

Lloyd:

• He doesn't react to it in a visible way, mentally he's doing backflips.

• Sharing clothes - just like sharing spit, bodily fluids associated with sex and... Skin (🌚) - is a way to get closer to your loved one, according to him. Therefore, he loves it.

• He will dress you in his clothes in a way you might not realize. For example when it's cold outside instead of handing you your own jacket he puts his sweatshirt on you. He might even childishly hide your clothes so there's more chance of you wearing his own.

Louise:

• He loves it! He especially enjoys it if it's few sizes bigger, or smaller on you. If it's bigger, he likes it because it fits in his narrative that when spooning he should be the big spoon. If it's smaller, he likes how it's tight around your curves, showing them off.

• He always makes comments about it when he sees you wearing it:

"Are you trying to tempt me?"

"That's my favorite shirt.... Too bad I'll have to rip it off you."

If they had multiple glyphs he could mix the glyphs somehow.(like how Luz mixes the glyphs by drawing them with eachother but instead they do it with their ✨️MIND✨️)

4. Also I love the idea of papapulse. Like I imagine Pearl or grian (most likely grian:^P) and Impulse going full demon mode tl protect them. (I saw that you tagged "Parent impulseSV (Video Blogging RPF)" in troubke in the dead of night🥺👏😍) Also is there different types of demons and what type of powers do they have?

5. In the fic "sitting in the garden at your feet" they have a whole picnic and all the adorableness. Do they go on more picnics frequently? (I really hope soo) I would guess they do since in villainous things they were also on their way to a picnic...but then yeah...poor birb tbh and poor scar

6. Have Ren and Martyn already have their wedding or are they still waiting? I wanna see treebark and I want to see mumbo ask grian go with him as his plus one to the wedding<3

Is it possible that etho is a Watcher? I'm mean   he is definitely not human(or maybe he is an immortal human?)  Etho may recognize grian, either as an old Watcher or a new Watcher to be made. Or maybe etho just thinks it is weird to see scar with grian(A HUMAN) The last one is more logical <:^)

8. On that note with Etho. You never confirm nor deny if grian is the "lost watcher" but what if I were to ask you if EFFO is the lost Watcher. I don't have proof but-...yeah idk

KNY OC introduction and their interaction with the canon characters

Last time i posted about Yona, i didn't introduce them more clearly. So today I'll be redoing that for my own and any people who are interested in their character :]

Warning: there'll be an oc insert into the main plot of the series!!

Their name is Shiekanjo Iyona which means True emotions and Solely. They like being call Yona instead of Iyona for a reason

Their rank is Hinoto (They're pretty strong despite their nonchalant personality)

They're 167 cm tall ( 5'6" )

They're blood related to Hantengu the upper moon four. And has to suffer from the condition because of his sin.

Facts about them!!

- Their favourite things to do are playing Kendama and investigate new places.

- They're into demonology and has tons of writing about each demons they killed

- People doesn't understand them due to their condition which sometimes confuse other about how they really feel

- they're suffer from a condition where their face doesn't act like how they feel. Example:

Angry -> Their face will be happy

Sad -> Their face will be calm

Happy -> Their face will be sad

Kanroji Mitsuri is their mentor since their weapon are similar to hers. And they do need some flexibility.

Speaking of their weapon, this is what it's looks like (I'm not good at drawing it haha)

- She love playing Kendama so much, they literally beg the swordsmith who made sword for them to put Kendama (which also have the same material as normal nichirin sword)

I'm not sure what their sword color would be.. but I'm thinking of yellow, since they use Thunder breathing.

Their interaction with the canon characters

Kamado Tanjiro

When they first met Tanjiro, It was at the final selection. When Tanjiro broke Shinazugawa Genya's arm. They couldn't help but feel satisfied by his action. (They just want the crow and go home)

They didn't like the fact that he trying to cure a demon back to normal. They think it's impossible and a waste of time

Kamado Nezuko

After joining the corps. They heard about her from other slayers and wasn't really okay with having demon among them. They first met Nezuko on their way to a meeting with someone, at a corridor. Even with Nezuko's friendliness, it doesn't stop Yona from trying to kill her. They try to stab her with the sword but luckily Zenitsu came and stop them in time.

Agatsuma Zenitsu

He's one of Jigoro's students, so they know eachother from the start. They've been trained together and passed the final selection. They're just chill. Zenitsu can only use the first form of thunder breathing right? And Yona can only use the third and fourth. Overall they don't hate him.

Shinazugawa Genya

At the final selection again. They didn't like how Genya treat the little girl and found him annoying big meanie. Until after few months, they met again. Yona was surprised by the changes. They became a good friend after the swordsmith arc.

Their opinion to demons :

“Demons are magnificent being. Despite how much i love about them. They need to be kill and vanish away from this world.”

I don't know what to write anymore sadly, but if any of you guys have a question about them, I'll be greatful to answer it! :]

Surprisingly enough this is my first Bingo! :D I already filled out the other bingo cards but I'm answering these in the order of what is fasted to draw/answer.

I can make it so fucked up/Colour me intrigued: Self-explanatory. Just, the tension in each interaction, and them being the very definition of kill me romantically. Just everything is personal with them. Eliza can't decide if she wants to kill China, be her or fuck her. Meanwhile, Eliza is a reminder of a past and her old self which she both really rather leave behind. Since they were both part of the Faceless Church, their idea of romance back then has the potential to be so messed up and I do love some (self)destructive love archetypes <3

They're exes: Landy did Eliza so dirty by writing her as the biter ex archetype and giving her like no other personality traits. Even her name is based on that! Scorn -> "Hell has no fury like a woman scorned"

Basically canon to me: And then he has the audacity to claim he never admitted China and Eliza were canonly a thing during the war. There is a reason Sorrowscorn was considered a canonship along with Ganith for the longest time. But he either deleted the tweet or it was an answer on the SP forums which have been shut down by now.

They're the same fucking guy: Landy also did her dirty by making her the colour-swapped, lesser version of China. She, like China, has the ability to make anyone she comes across fall instantly in love with her, though it is established that this power is not as strong as China's, she is a rival collector and information broker to China and she very likely also chose symbol magic as her adept discipline as the glowing daggers she threw seem very similar to what China was shown to be able to do with her sigils. Her personality is also pretty much just wartime China. Since she is the weaker of the two she was very likely the one copying China instead of developing her own strengths and weaknesses. This shows a weakness of character that puts her in a power imbalance with China and also prevents her to climb the ranks of the Faceless church beyond her current position.

Fated Enemies/There is no way this will end well: And that's why their relationship could never last. That's why she could never be more than China's plaything. Seeing so much of herself in Eliza fed her ego and narcissism. She loved herself so of course she would love someone so much like herself. But when she changed and Eliza didn't...

They Enable the worst in each other: Accurate for both wartimes, pushing each other into new extremes since they are rivals as much as lovers trying to impress each other. In the present day, as enemies, Elize definitely brought out China's old 'sharp' self while they were fighting each other.

In a relationship not sure what the relationship is but they are in one: Self-explanatory.

Oh, the devotion/inherit eroticism of attempted murder: 👀👀👀👀

Thematically delicious: Ngl I have a thing for relationships doomed from the start. During the war they were birds of a feather. She found kin in Eliza since she has the same curse ability to make people fall in love with her. Finally, she has someone who understands the hardships that effect brings, finally, someone is immune to it, and finally someone's feelings are real. Now, China is a fallen idol in Eliza's eyes. Someone who she looked up to and wanted to be like now no more than a traitor. Not only did she abandon the church, she had abandoned HER too. And she hates the fact that she knows she would forgive China in an instant would she return to her. To China Eliza is a reminder of a past and an old self she'd rather leave behind. Landy said in a tweet that Eliza would kill China eventually (that was before phase 2 was announced and I think he deleted that tweet) but I think it would be more fitting if China would kill Eliza and quite frankly, Eliza would have it no other way.

And indeed it was around 23:15 for us, when I got the email notification about your ask, but it's quite alright! We'll just either answer it in the morning/early day, or the afternoon/evening :D

So, what I'm gonna talk about is yet another AU (it's a new one, so I probably won't be that long!)

Introducing: Bakery AU (I should NOT be talking about this AU, when I'm hungry, but oh well)

So, instead of our dear Sun and Moon having to run a Daycare, they have to run the Superstar Bakery at the Plex!

Children and their parents are frequenting the Bakery due to the wonderous scents emitting from beyond the colourful, inviting doors. Inside the bakery there's tables and booths to sit and enjoy your baked goods and drinks, or you could take them with you to enjoy while going to different attractions (which costs more, since Fazbear wants to encourage people to sit around there and buy more food). The entire interior design is sky themed, fluffy soft clouds painted on lovely blue walls, or decals on windows, little rainbows, and a drawing of a brihtly grinning Sun greets customers from opening at 6 AM to 3 PM, from where the lights switch with black lights (or just dim I guess), the fluffy clouds revealing glowing stars, the blue sky turns dark like the night sky, colourful nebulas take the raibows' place, and a mischievously grinning Moon replaces Sun

Sun and Moon themselves start out similar to our canon boys, in the same body, and due to the circumstances, not really liking eachother, until Fazber decides that they want two employees for the price of one. Before they could separate them, Moon decides to do it himself, because he doesn't trust the humans not to mess something up, and he doesn't really have time to carefully cut his homicide code in hals, so he just shaves the parts of Sun the code is attached to, and takes the whole thing with himself to his new body. Sun's code repairs itself without any issue, he just feels a little out of it for a couple days/weeks until he's back in tip-top shape.

Moon however still has his anger issues due to the homicide code, but he does try to let his anger out in healthier ways, than yelling/threatening those around him. Beating the dough surprisingly help with pushing his anger down.

However, as we know with canon, suppressing, pushing down the homicide code leads to it festering until it develops into Killcode, and that's exactly what happens. However this Killcode is a bit less murderous due to assimilating what teeny tiny, miniscule pieces of Sun got shaven off to take the whole code. He's still murderous, angry and volatile, just slightly less so (I'm taking this from another Killcode character from another story Moongleam and I have, just changing it up a bit).

So yeah, bakery trio :D Every other celestial character is a pastry, like for example a strawberry red velvet cake named Bloodmoon, a Nutella+blueberry combo pancake called Lunar ect. Still have to decide who is what. Eclipse has to be something chocolatey as an homage/reference to SEA. Probably lava cake with a mix or orange sauce and chocolate as filling.

And of course they'd wear cutesy pastel outfits (probably also pastry themed). Can you imagine KC, giant nightmarish KC in a cutesy pastel chocolate chip cookie themed apron? Or overall, I haven't decided yet, but either sounds cute. They'd obviously be dressed as the pastries themed after them, of course.

Okay, second part of YAPP session: height headcanons (and some bonus silliness)

So we know from canon that KC is 20 feet tall, or 6 meters tall. He's the size of a very large tyrannosaurus rex (some estimates say t. rex can be a height between 4.8 to 5.6 meters, while others say it could grow between 4.5 to 6 meters)! He can look a t. rex in the eye! How cool is that?! :D He can look a tyrant lizard king in the eye and laugh. Ride it into battle if he's not too heavy.

In early canon Sun and Moon have been over 9 feet tall (later in a QnA they said they're around 7, but Moongleam and I have decided to ignore that). So they're like, 3 meters tall (but Sunray that's closer to 10 feet- Hushh). The same height as a carnotaurus! Carnotaurus is ann amazing dinosaur and deserves more recognition, and they can look one in the eye!! Same with KC that they could probably ride one too! Imagine Moon's manic laughter as he zooms past on a hecking carnotaurus! Sun is crying.

Earth is like 13-15 feet tall (in her original body at least. by the way, wasn't that body taller than her newer ones? she felt taller. maybe it was the hair. Earth original body my beloved) so like 4-4.5 meters tall, so she's the size of an allosaurus, one of the coolest large predators of the Late Jurassic,, and one of the most abundant ones aswell! A pack of allosaurus to protect her from Sven and Karens alike, what a queen!

I like dinosaurs :3 and I like mixing them with current fixation

Anyway, onto a more heated (for me at least) topic: the TSAMS Wiki. Before I start, I'd like to thank anyone who was part of creating the Wiki, it is a lot of work, and those people are amazing for making it, so thank you and I tip my hat to you.

However, one of the biggest things that irks me about it is the Moon page. Specifically when he got factory reset and Nexus came to be. Instead of creating a whole new page for him from the beginning of his existance (and treating him like his own separate person) everything just went to Moon's page. His quotes, events that happened to him (like Ruin's appearance), facts about him, all went to Moon's page and are still there! Nexus only got a page of his own after becoming Nexus, and the only thing about him there is after he became who we know him now.

Why couldn't he get his own page from the beginning??! Scratch that, why couldn't he, Bloodmoon2.0 and Eclipse3/4.0 get their own page? They're not the same people! Bloodmoon2.0 (or Harvest as I and Moongleam refer to them ( imentioned it in an older post of mine)) is not the same as Bloodmoon, they only have parts of their memories, the ones Ruin could find from the channel, same with Eclipse3/4.0 (or Blackout as we like to call him). Heck, he even talked about not being the same individual as the one who tormented the celestial family!

They all should've gotten their own Wiki pages the moment they appeared, since they're not the same people 😡(the angry emoticon is meant in a silly way, please no one get mad D:)

I'm not bothering with the colours because Sunray dearie took so long I'll probably just hit the bed after like one more thing, but just know it's me, Moongleam
