みなさん、こんにちは！ヽ(>∀<☆)ノ

I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed studying alone. I'm not sure if the way im going about it is right.(>_<)

I saw many people say the immersion method is a good way to go about it so I'm pushing myself to pick up anime and hopefully go back to my Japanese morning shows 朝ドラ. have you watched any? im such a fan of the NHK asadoras for example とと姉ちゃんtoto neechan basically anything that Mitsuki Takahata is in im obsessed over.(･ω<)☆ infact i should post pictures of some of the japanese TV magazines i own as personal "merch" since i have no way of showing how much i love japanese tv the way Kdramas have soundtrack boxes and merch.

I've been practicing my カタカナ by writing it repeatedly in my notebook.

Kanji has always worried me, but I'm trying to look at more kanji words instead of only relying on the hiragana to get used to them. Little by little, I'm starting to get the hang of improving my handwriting skills even if im not completely memorizing difficult words.

I've also been listening to a lot of old-school Japanese hip hop. It's helping with my listening skills and keeping me motivated. should i share some of my playlists? 🎶(^_^♪)

これは老若男女に関わらず、同様な気がする。YouMeさんが赤ちゃん連れて公園デビューしたとき、YouMeさんは赤ちゃんに語りかける形で「わあ！あのお兄ちゃん、足速いねえ！」「あのお姉ちゃん、雲梯上手！」などと驚いていると、その子たちはますますハッスルして「こんなこともできるよ！」アピール。

YouMeさんはすごいすごい！と驚き、赤ちゃんと共に面白がった。やがて「その赤ちゃん、おばちゃんの子ども？」と訊いてきた。「そうなの、初めて公園に来たんだけど、一緒に遊んでくれる？」と言うと、「いいよ！」と、オモチャを持ってきてくれたりした。

すると、うちの子がよその子の面倒見るなんて珍しい、と不思議に思ったお母さんが近づいてきて、YouMeさんに話しかけ。YouMeさんは「赤ちゃんと遊んでもらっちゃって。しっかりしたお子さんですねえ！」と驚くと、お母さんも心開いてくれた様子で、近所のお得情報教えてくれたり。

YouMeさん��場合は「訊く」がないわけだけど、「驚き、面白がる」ことで子どもたちが心を開き、その親御さんも心を開いてくれた。「承認」とか「理解」などという音読み熟語だと重々しい割に具体的に何をすればよいのか見当がつかないけれど、「驚き、面白がる」なら、簡単に実践できるように思う。

Yay, it's a new Amphoreus JP localization post! As always, check the "#nihongo thoughts" tag for the previous one! This time, there's no new characters to talk about, so we'll jump straight to the interesting tidbits:

- Mem talks about a 精神と時の部屋/seishin to toki no heya (Room of Spirit and Time) with the Trailblazer and Phainon. That's the original name of Dragon Ball's Hyperbolic Time Chamber;

- Cipher has had the habit of calling Aglaea 裁縫女/saihou-onna (Tailor Woman) since she was a kid;

- Cipher nicknamed Bartholos バルっち (Barcchi). Bartholos calls her 姉御/anego (Big Sister). Addressing others as older siblings is a sign of respect in organized crime;

- Little Ica's name in Japanese is イカルン (Icarun);

- On her last letter to Phainon, Aglaea calls him her 教え子/oshiego (student);

- Cipher calls Phainon 救世の坊や/kyuusei no bouya (Deliverance Boy). Bouya is a fairly casual/rude way to refer to a younger man, which makes it even funnier when Phainon addresses Cipher respectfully with the honorific -san. She also calls herself his 大先輩/daisenpai (Great Senpai) and he starts calling her senpai right away, lmao;

- The JP name of Phainon's new sword is ヘリオス (Helios);

- Tribbie's nicknames for Cipher and Hyacine are フェルちゃん (Pher-chan) and ヒアンシちゃん (Hyaci-chan), respectively. Cipher also calls her お姉さん/onee-san (big sister);

- Hyacine calls her grandmother おばあ様 (obaa-sama), which is really respectful. In contrast, Jacynthia calls her granddaughter 可愛い蜂鳥/kawaii hachidori (cute hummingbird);

- Phainon's been starting to refer to his companions as 戦友/sen'yuu (comrade in arms) recently;

- Cipher calls Flame Reaver ハイエナちゃん (Hyena-chan) and Mydei ライオンちゃん (Lion-chan);

- During their last conversation, Hyacine forgoes her cutesy nickname for Dan Heng and calls him by his proper name. She uses the affectionate suffix くん (-kun), though;

- Bartholos calls Phainon a 小僧/kozou (boy), which is quite derogatory when referring to a man. He also calls Kephale a マヌケ/manuke (dumbass) and Oronyx a ガキンチョ/gakincho (brat);

- At the end, Trinnon drops the nicknames the Tribios have for Aglaea and Phainon and calls them by their actual names.
