im annoyed and a little pedantic so can i just say as a blanket statement

queerbaiting is when the promotion for a FICTIONAL STORY intentionally hints towards two characters having a romantic relationship, without any intention to follow through in the show, in order to get queer people watching without discouraging the homophobic enjoyers of the show

queerbaiting is NOT:

a celebrity who you think is queer because theyre gnc or they have a 'vibe'. that is a real person and they cannot queerbait

two friends of the same gender pretending to flirt with each other for fun. those are real people and they cannot queerbait

a show with two characters of the same gender who are canonically friends that YOU PERSONALLY think would be better in a relationship. that's not bating, that's shipping, and subject to opinion

there are more but those are the main examples of people misunderstanding what queerbaiting is and being mad at something that isn't actually a problem

why would you be unsafe at pride

I'm going to assume this question is asked in good faith and with a genuine interest in my safety. I'm also going to be very direct and blunt.

Jewish people are being targeted and attacked worldwide. Not just in right-wing spaces, but also leftist spaces. And yes that includes Pride and queer related events. If I want to attend pride wearing my kippah and my magen david, there is a good chance I will have some unpleasant words thrown at me, at the very least. There is a chance I will be physically attacked and/or kicked out of the march.

I would recommend spending more time listening to Jewish people on their struggle with antisemitism in the present. I don't mean that as a snarky comment, I just think listening to minorities about their struggles is a crucial part of activism. Hope this answered your question! With every person who believes all communists ever talk about is the "glorious revolution" and nothing else, it's very safe to assume that they have never in their life talked to a serious communist, and that their only exposure to revolutionary marxism are people who fetichize underground work or actual communists too annoyed with their handwringing to patiantely explain their positions. I've never seen any communist, here or offline, reply to a serious and good-faith question about how to realistically build towards assuming power by force with just a "it will happen and you're a lib for not trusting me" and not ever expanding on strategy.

So those who complain about this apparent rampant "rapture cutlure", as that one post put it, I do think it is more a reflection on how they interact with communism in an excessively aggressive and unserious way more than it is a genuine critique of communist strategy and goals. It is also very common for these people to be imperial core, because believing this requires you to be solipsitic about the world south of Texas and east of the EU. The reality is that, now and throughout history, successful revolutions have happened, either communist or inspired by communist practice, and just by learning about some of these, like Cuba, a lot of arguments posed on the same "glorious revolution" critique would dissappear

Could you tell more about your face blindness, if you're ok with it? It's a kind of surprise to me that you have difficulty of recognizing people's faces because you are one of the artists who draw characters' expressions so intricate and eloquent, like a mirror towards their mental states. Do you think it has any impact on your art/art style?

Sometimes I wonder if the face blindness is part reason why I choose to draw animals/furries/anthros instead of people, but other than that I'm not sure if it has contributed on my style.
