I want to talk about the Teen Wolf siblings, particularly their age differences.
Brett is a freshman in season 4. We don’t know how old Lori is, but later she says Brett only accepted the scholarship at Devenford if they would accept her as well. This means either Devenford includes some middle school as well as high school, Lori was smart enough to skip a grade or two, Brett and Lori are 9 months apart, or they’re twins. It’s also possible she’s a couple years younger and was only recently accepted, but since he bargained for her from the beginning, I don’t think it’s as likely.
Based on the short audio clips from “Motel California” it sounds like Boyd and Alicia were close in age, both pretty young, but when we see her body she looks a little older. I would assume he’s older since he was in charge of watching her.
Malia and Kylie were close in age based on the framed photo in her room. In “Ghosted” Kylie has mysteriously aged from about 7 to about 12. Though this is likely due to forgetting information and not caring enough to fact check their own work.
The same could be said for Theo and Tara. They seem to be close in age, but the actresses playing Tara look like different ages. I would guess in season 5 flashbacks she was 11 or 12 when Theo was 9, but in season 6 she looks 17.
Isaac is 16 in season 2 and Camden would have been 24. There is a discrepency unless I’m missing something. Since season 2 is early in the year I’m willing to bet Camden would be 25 later in the year. If Isaac is 16 and Camden would be 24, that’s an 8 year gap. But if he graduated in 2006, he was born in 1988 and is approximately 6 years older. There’s no concrete evidence of when either of their birthdays are, so perhaps Isaac’s birthday is before Camden’s and there’s a short period of time the gap is 7 years. The calendar puts his birthday in February.
Kate said that growing up Chris always tried to make her look like the bad guy. In 3B Chris says he was 18-years-old 24 years ago putting Chris’s birth year about 1969. Kate was born in 1983. That is a 14 year gap. Either she exaggerated or lied, which I would believe, or Chris was an incredibly shitty brother, which I would also believe. Could you imagine 17 year old Chris blaming 3 year old Kate for him coming home late one night or breaking their mom’s favorite vase?
We don’t know how old Gerard is. Alexander was 27 when he died. Alexander was 19/20 years older than Chris, so Gerard was probably in his early to mid twenties when Chris was born. A lot of actors’ ages coincide with their character’s approximate age. Michael Hogan was born in 1949, so if Gerard is around his age, he’s 20 years older than Chris and 34 years older than Kate. But then he would one year older than Alexander. Not impossible, but he is likely older.
Hayden is about 16 in season 5 because she can drive. The youngest a cop can be is 20, so at the very least Clark is 4 years older. It sounds like Clark had been her guardian for a while, so the gap is likely larger.
If we are going to believe the “In Memorium” video from MTV, Laura was born in 1982 and Peter was born in 1976. We never actually know how old Derek is. Jeff said his ID, putting his birthday in November 1988, was fake, but why? What is the significance of it being fake? It served no purpose and I think Jeff just wanted to fuck with us. Especially because it’s not canon in the show, he said it outside of the show. And if we believe the calendar that makes Derek a Christmas baby, why would he make himself only a month and a half older?
I’m going to assume Derek was “with” Kate leading up closely to the fire, meaning late 2004. If Derek was 16, or almost 16 if his birthday is Christmas, that would put his birthday in 1988. So in the pilot he’s 22. In the script he was meant to be 19 but then he was aged up because Jeff thought it was more important to traumatize him than find a way around it. In 3A Cora says she’s 17, which would put them at a 5 year gap. Laura is 6 years older than Derek and 11 years older than Cora. And if Cora was 11 by January of 2005, she was born in 1993.
I don’t know if this is canon or fanon that Talia raised Peter. Regardless, he is about 5 years older than Laura, 12 years older than Derek, and 17 years older than Cora. But Talia would have to be at the youngest 8 years older than Peter, and that’s if she had Laura at 13. In “Visionary” she appears to be about mid-forties. If this is within a year of the fire, then Peter is 26/27. The gap between Peter and Talia could range from 8 to 20 years.
I’m just so interested in these dynamics.

❝ i don’t wanna be alone. ❞ @ cam!
@reluctantseer.
“you’re not.” and those words are all you feel the need to say. no matter how rough things get, no matter what comes between you, you’ll never leave him. lewis has been with you your entire life, has been with you through things you never thought you’d experience. you literally died, and once he got over the fact that you hadn’t immediately told him (you tried to explain that you were dead, but it turned out that the big dream you had when you died wasn’t actually a dream and was in fact your ghost hanging out with lou. something still never really talked about), he took you in with open arms. the two of you could face anything, you’d always end up on top. “i’m here. i’ll always be here.” literally always. you’re not gonna die of old age. you’ll sit there looking twenty-two when he’s so old that he doesn’t look like him anymore. you’ll always be there, even after he’s gone. it’s something you think about every day, and you’re sure he thinks about it all the time too. but right now that doesn’t matter. right now you have your own eternity sitting in each other’s arms.

❝ I love you, will you marry me? ❞ lewis @ cam :)
「 meme | @reluctantseer 」
ITS AN AVERAGE DAY, at least as far as you’re aware. or more, it’s an average night. the sun has long set and the two of you are strolling the streets, not a care in the world, like everything’s normal. like you’re normal. the two of you know better, steer clear of churches and keep away from any place that has any chance of garlic. you don’t dare risk ruining this.
YOUR NIGHT HAD STARTED IN THE CEMETERY, your old grave now hidden amongst overgrown grass, surrounded by bodies that would never get the chance to see life once more. it had been something about closure, your big plan to leave the trauma behind. but that isn’t how trauma works, and it certainly isn’t so simple for you to rid yourself of pain. lou had put down flowers, pink carnations to represent remembrance and white carnations for pure love and innocence. perhaps less meaningful considering he’d bought them from your store earlier, but that’s just how things are. funny that at the time you hadn’t noticed him grab some red roses.
THE NIGHT IS COLD, but every second you spend together is full of warmth. love strong enough to brace the harshest weather, love strong enough to conquer death. you still remember it all, climbing out of that grave and wanting nothing but him. there was chaos when you found him, his disbelief at both your death and your life, but once he’d reluctantly made sense of it all things had so easily become more real. feelings once hidden were openly shared, contact once avoided now sought after. the two of you had always been an unstoppable force, but after you died your relationship only grew stronger.
YOU CANT PRETEND IT WAS ALL SMOOTH SAILING, there were countless stupid fights and long forgotten insults yelled in fear. those nights where you’d sit alone in your room, desperate to speak but knowing that he didn’t think the same, knowing that he was asleep without care. countless days where you’d hide in a room as dark as your mind while he was forced to deal with his demons in the sunlight. apologies rarely came in lengthy explanations, simply nights spent together in a bed with whispers about being together forever, about never being alone. you always believed it, and yet you never expected a real commitment.
YOU’RE AT THE PARK WHEN HE GETS ON ONE KNEE, the school where you’d met being the touching backdrop to the moment. somehow the place feels eerie now, far smaller than you’d ever believed yet somehow a giant pit of mysterious darkness. along the fence fairy lights twinkle like stars and the wind blows just enough for his hair to sweep the way you like it. roses from your store stare you in the face, an eyebrow raised as you resist the urge to tell him he stole those. it isn’t until he’s really down on one knee, really pulling the ring out, that the situation set in.
BUT OF COURSE THAT WAS WHAT WAS HAPPENING, the two of you had taken a stroll down memory lane in a way you never do. from your death to your high school to where it all began, the whole trip had led to this moment. tears begin to brim as he speaks, head shaking slightly in confusion. surely this isn’t happening? you’ve always dreamed of it, but you learned a long time ago that its only ever the nightmares that come true.
IT FEELS AS THOUGH YOUR HEART STOPS IN THE MOMENT, your brain ignoring the fact that it stopped a long time ago. he wants to spend the rest of his life with you, and of course you want the same, but the thought that hits you puts a sudden halt to the excitement. "but you’re going to get old, and you’re going to die.“ and that is how it goes, and that’s something you want to share with him, but that’s something you’ll never know. "I want to spend forever with you, this is a yes.” spoken quickly as you take his hands, lowering to your knees yourself. "but it’s only a yes if you’re sure you want this. if you’re sure you’re okay with getting old while I stay like this, as long as you’re okay with there eventually being a whole world between us.“
AND THEN YOU HAVE ANOTHER THOUGHT. a worse thought. "unless..” something you’re sure you know the answer to, something that has come up more than once. "unless you want our forever, your forever, to really be… forever.“

Lots and lots of new pictures and mostly new characters...a few are just getting updates though so here goes:
Clark Kent - Superman takes living in Metropolis very seriously and following the battle with Lex Luthor’s lab-created monstrosity and the untimely death of Batman/Bruce Wayne, Clark is doing his best to keep his head down both as his mild-mannered alter ego and as Superman himself. Especially considering most of Gotham city thinks he killed Batman, but in the coverup surrounding the creatures’ disappearance and the damaging of most of the city of Metropolis there was little that could be done to explain what happened to either of the heroes. Batman was the true hero of the night though no one really knows it. For his part, Clark is still reeling from the loss of Lois Lane when she tried to salvage the spear with Kryptonite...because Clark couldn’t touch it, he wasn’t able to rescue her in time. (there’s a lot more to this but it would take WAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY too long to make sense out of it all)
James Davis - James is actually an American living in Camden, London. He was originally part of an inside joke (with myself, it was a weird day for the voices in my head, don’t ask) but stuck around. While I know he actually doesn’t do anything with Tessa Moore, he first popped into my head leaning out of the door of his flat without a shirt on, all his tattoos there for everyone to see as a car came to pick Tess up, and he gives her a crooked grin, telling her to come down and see him again on better terms.
Trevor Vaughn got a new picture
Damien “Darke” Nyte - Darke is one of my older characters that needed an upgrade. He’s an author of a series of psychological horror novels called the BlackWater series which focuses on the supernatural, surrealist murders/strange happenings occurring around the fictional town of Blackwater, even though it’s loosely based off of the French Quarter in New Orleans. He also runs a podcast called Dark Dreams where he talks about some of the things he’s seen either in his dreams or else he uses it as a sort of conspiracy theory testing ground. He started out on Youtube with videos in the St. Louis Cemetary 3, either investigating some of the people buried there or what he likes to call the “shamblers”, they’re basically zombies that haven’t managed to cross over yet.
Darius Murphy - the patriarch of the Murphy family, I’m still working out everything about him but he is an exceedingly powerful warlock who can use other people as conduits to “power himself up” in order to use his magic, most of which can be harmless but if he’s in a mood, he can and will hurt people to get what he wants to know out of them. This can be information or sometimes it’s just that he wants to drain them of their life essence to keep his own stable. Father of mostly girls, he has one son, Grayson, but doesn’t really consider him to be a viable heir to the family line since he’s gay. Darius has a lot of love for all of his children though he seems to have some issues showing it at times, sticking to a sort of ‘push them out of the nest’ mentality, that when they reach a certain age, they’re on their own. Still...he’s a bit pushy when it comes to who is considered an appropriate husband for his girls. One man, he didn’t like he turned into a snail, so not really the man you want to cross.
Eddie Brock (Venom) - Following a particularly dangerous encounter with the symbiote Venom which has been inhabiting his body for about two years, Eddie Brock is forced to move once again, this time leaving Anne behind to marry Dr. Dan and forget he ever existed, in a very literal sense. Eddie ends up trapped inside the Venom form for a while, only coming out of it with the help of Justice and her people in Section. Once he regains control, Venom is somewhat subdued inside of him, under the threat of being completely purged from him permanently if he doesn’t behave, and Eddie is able to regain some sense of normalcy, getting a job working as an investigative reporter at one of the more unknown papers in New York.
Eldrin Ironside got an update
Grayson Murphy (not for me, here you go love @musesnotebook )
Marquee Azure - Real name Mark Brandon, Azure was renamed by his lover Grayson when he became his submissive and allowed himself to be put on display for everyone to see. I still know very little about where he came from other than his home life was never very good to begin with because he was willing to be dominated by others, bowing to even someone smaller or meeker than he is and more than willing to do so.

🌴 Meet me in St. Louis Review! 🌴 • Synopsis:
A massive scavenger hunt.
A large prize.
Thousands of contestants.
Who’s going to win it?
Stephanie Clark sees no better option but to participate in this new scavenger hunt that’s happening in her hometown. Since graduating high school, Stephanie has fantasized of attending her dream college in Florida, but she simply doesn’t have the funds. With the scavenger hunt, and the large sum of money given to those who win, Stephanie dedicates her time to solving the clues and hopefully taking a step closer to her dream life.
What she doesn’t expect is her new found feelings for Camden Mills, the new, and hot, boy in town. She’s never gone out of her way to get to know him, especially with all those girls rivaling for his attention. Although, when they encounter each other in a rather odd situation, Stephanie realizes she’s not the only one with feelings…
With thousands of people competing in the scavenger hunt, and a competitor closing in on the prize, will Stephanie be able to decipher the last clue? Or will she be too late?
My Review:
This book was #gifted to me by NetGalley! • Thank you to the NetGalley team for allowing me to read and review this book! I appreciate it so much! 🦋 The story of Meet me in St Louis is quite unique and I found myself intrigued with the concept of the scavenger hunt. I sadly thought, while reading, that the idea wasn’t developed completely. If the story was a little bit longer, to give the idea a bit of space to grow, it would’ve made the story more interesting! The romance seemed to be the insta-love trope. I love myself some romance, but I was left slightly disappointed as the relationship between the two characters didn’t have much time to grow and become stronger over time. It kind of just started immediately, but that might just be the insta-love trope! 😊 One thing that I really liked though, was the clues and how Stephanie tried to solve them. I found myself hooked and trying to figure out the clues myself, and I actually started jumping up and down when I solved one! I did enjoy that aspect of the story, and the suspense of not knowing who else has been solving the scavenger hunt. I loved the humour of the two characters. I always say humour just adds spice to a read and makes it way more enjoyable. 😍 In the end, I love the concept of the story, my only thought was that if it was given more time it would’ve been more immersive and developed! 🌻 Rating: 2.5/5 ✨ • • •

A 2017 Bennington Alumni Reading List!
As 2017 wraps up, we’re looking towards a new year full of great books! Here’s a year-in-review of some of the new releases of 2017 by or about Bennington alumni.
- Lydia ’19
From Rockaway (re-release) and Swell by Jill Eisenstadt ’85
"With tremendous tenderness, Eisenstadt captures the traumatized Rockaway of the early 2000s in swirling Technicolor....A whimsical portrait of a still-raw community." --Kirkus Reviews
Honeysuckle Drift by Virginia Johnson, MFA ’12
“The scent of honeysuckle that pervades Honeysuckle Drift is sweet in the in the way things are just before they rot. The story that unfolds for the young, well-meaning protagonist, Ellen, will be both a tragedy and a chance to overcome it. In this fine debut novel Virginia Johnson beautifully evokes the place, the era, and the terrible ties between parents and children, ties that, while invisible, can strangle as well as bind.”—Jim Krusoe, author of The Sleep Garden
Botticelli's Muse by Dorah Blume (Deborah Bluestein ’65)
“Blume’s interpretation of master painter Sandro Botticelli is at once a florid love story and a chilling political drama. Sensuous and provocative as well as mysterious, the novel follows Sandro’s troubled relationship with Florence’s ruling Medici family.” --Publisher’s Weekly
Shock Wave by Florian Louisoder ’82
“Shock Wave took me immediately with it's premise because I love time travel related stories...It's a great journey for the imagination to see how one event can alter the future in so many "shocking "ways. Louisoder has an uncanny knack for fleshing out his characters and making them live and breathe on the page. I really look forward to the next in the series.” --Amazon Customer Review
The Other Island: Ben’s Story by Barbara Kent Lawrence ’65
“The Other Island is as much a reflection and refraction of her first novel as it is a sequel. Islands of Time traced the love affair between Becky Granger, a summer visitor to Mount Desert Island, and Ben Bunker, a year-round resident of Little Cranberry Island — from Becky's point of view. In The Other Island, Lawrence gives voice to Ben's side of the romance: "She's told you her story," he states at the novel's start. "Now I'll tell you mine. They are wound up in me like the way I was in her from the moment I met her."” --The Penobscot Bay Pilot
Sally’s Genius by Brooks Clark, a biography about pioneering educator Sally Smith ’50
“In 1967 Sally Smith needed a school for her son Gary, who suffered from dyslexia, among other learning disabilities. Finding none, she founded one, the Lab School of Washington. In the process, she developed the Academic Club Methodology, by which children with learning disabilities can be engaged and inspired in school, where they had previously suffered only frustration and defeat. While directing the Lab School, Smith taught her system and ran the master's program in special education at American University for 32 years, inspiring a new generation of teachers to pioneer innovations in education. Smith also wrote books, starting with "No Easy Answers" in the late 70s and in various editions thereafter, that serve as the definitive works in the special education field. Smith was driven, creative, unique, and unforgettable.”--Lulu.com
How Do I Explain This to my Kids? by Ava Siegler ’59
“Child psychologist Dr. Ava Siegler brings together stories by authors and writers...about the conversations they are having with their children in the current political climate...as well as how to raise them to be engaged citizens.” --Bill Moyers & Company
Positive Art Therapy Theory and Practice: Integrating Positive Psychology with Art Therapy co-authored by Gioia Chilton ’89
"Wilkinson & Chilton are synonymous with positive art therapy – I am excited about this book and its potential to revolutionize art therapy theory and practice! It’s a wonderful and much needed contribution to the literature, promoting strengths-based and relational approaches to art therapy practice grounded in positive psychology.”-- Donna Betts, PhD, ATR-BC, president, American Art Therapy Association, associate professor, Art Therapy Program, George Washington University
Heart Smart for Women by Jennifer Mieres ’82
“A terrific, potentially life-saving book that’s a must read for all black and Latina women.” --Jane Chesnutt, Editor-in-Chief, Woman’s Day
Thinking with the Dancing Brain by Rima Faber ’65
“a must read book for educators, artists, and scientists. This gem is revolutionary in its structure. Current brain research and valuable educational theories are interspersed in every chapter with simple movement explorations that make the research understandable and the theories memorable. The book proves once and for all that the body and brain work as one unit and that thought cannot take place without movement.” --Anne Green Gilbert, founding Director of Creative Dance Center
Blue Money by Janet Capron ’69
“Capron writes with the fearless, experiential drive of a Beat poet… This intense, electrifying memoir explores a life of prostitution in 1970s New York City.” --Shelf Awareness
Going to Wings by Sandra Worsham ’06
“Sandra Worsham’s humor, clear-eyed honesty stitch this amazing quilt of meaning and experience together in a wonderful way.” --Kirkus Reviews
I’m the One Who Got Away by Andrea Jarrell, MFA ’01
"Though the settings of Jarrell’s stories range from Camden, Maine, to Italy and Los Angeles, the author’s small-town Americana tone is reminiscent of Joyce Carol Oates. The work’s lasting message is that love, like Jarrell’s prose, is both painful and beautiful. A stunning series of recollections with a feminist slant." ―Kirkus Reviews STARRED REVIEW
Maya Healers by Fran Antmann ’69
“Fran Antmann’s work in Maya Healers, years in the making, is imbued with the depth and texture only great photography can achieve; where the images transcend being mere documents but reach great art. Many of the images, especially of the people in their daily lives, are transcendent and absolutely gorgeous, revealing an empathy and visual perception that is timeless.” --Ed Kashi, international prize-winning photojournalist
Sign of the Apocalypse: Ruminations and Wit from an American Roadside Prophet by John Getchell ’86
“Friends, neighbors, and passersby from all over the country can’t fail to miss “The Sign’s" constantly changing humor and insight. On occasion, The Sign of the Apocalypse (SOTA) traffics in the earnest, but at its heart is rooted in a deep-seated desire to express the sarcastic and snort-worthy. This, and a love of haiku, pizza, Latin, double entendre, and the worst puns ever crafted.” --Amazon
We and She, You and Then, You Again by Leah Tieger ’03
“Leah Tieger examines the human condition with a stark elegance and passion of language that allows us to inhabit the ragged husks of bodies—of seeds—and gives us hope even in our emptiness. Like a gentle farmer, she removes our desiccated husks and listens as we long for more than blankets, for shelter from the sun. She writes the necessary poems of minutia, of lovers forcing approximate passions, of unraveling sweaters hanging in silent closets. She watches the waiting parts in us and reveals them, allowing the small spaces of our lives to shine through, into insightful—and honest—existence.”-- Josh Gaines
Bloodline by Radha Marcum ’96
“Congratulations to Radha Marcum. Her debut poetry collection, Bloodline...delves into the difficult family history of the work of Marcum's grandfather on the Manhattan Project, building the first atomic bombs in Los Alamos, New Mexico, during World War II—and how that both brave and heavy legacy has affected the women in her family, both then and now.” --WinningWriters.com, Subscriber News July 2017
The Myrtlewood Cookbook: Pacific Northwest Home Cooking by Andrew Barton ’09
"This cookbook is unabashedly PNW to its core, from the cutting boards carved from native Myrtlewood trees to the mushrooms that pop up in soup, risotto, and pizza. Unlike most cookbooks, Barton’s recipes read more like an actual book; each dish spans multiple pages with paragraphs in the place of ordered steps. Barton’s conversational tone is certainly homey, as is the food itself." -- Seattle Met

"He didn’t make it." (yet again) for camden!!
@reluctantseer.
the words repeat in your head, an echo of the doctors voice. you did it wrong, you messed everything up. it’s done. he’s gone. he trusted you and now he’s gone and now you can feel yourself disappearing. this is all your fault and you know it. he knew the risk, right? he knew you had to die before it worked, right? he wasn’t scared was he? you remember how scared you were and it kills you to think of lewis going through that. but yours was sudden, unexpected. he knew it was coming. it was at home. it wasn’t horrific. was it?
you knew this was coming, you never should’ve brought him here. but you had to, you know you did. you couldn’t just leave his dead body in the apartment. well, you very much could’ve, but it soon would’ve started to smell and then people would ask questions and you’d get calls about him missing work and all that would suck. not that this is fun, this also definitely sucks.
but you had to bring him here. avoid suspicions, have him buried. you have a plan, a good one. you’d bury him with his phone, he’ll wake up and it’ll be easy! he can just send you a text! you can dig him up! he doesn’t have to claw out of his grave scared and alone. he doesn’t have to do things the way you had to.
even with all of this planning, knowing what happened and knowing he’s coming back, you feel like you’re falling apart. you didn’t do it wrong. you had gabe there, much to lewis’ dismay, to make sure it was all done right. you did it right, he’s coming back. he has to. but what if he doesn’t.
“oh god.” it sounds like shock that he’s dead, but it isn’t. it’s the sound of you realizing that his family is gonna find out. they’re gonna hear he died, they’re gonna mourn. they’re going to fall apart. they’ll have a funeral. they won’t try to cremate him will they? can you tell them he’s coming back? would he even want them to know that? you go to text him, but he’s not going to be able to respond yet. you’ve never had to deal with not being able to contact lewis before.
you have to tell them, but how? they’d hate you, you’re sure of it. how could they not? you killed their son. that’s what happened, no matter how you explain it. you killed lewis. that’s the truth. he’s coming back, but that doesn’t change the fact that you killed the love of your life. you can’t just say ‘oh he’s coming back, he’ll live forever, it’ll be fine.’ because it wont be fine. he’ll live to see his family die, just like you will. he’ll watch as his great great great grand-nephew dies. he’ll live long enough to see his family tree die. death will forever be the center of his life.
you feel selfish for doing it, but he wanted it. he asked. he gave himself over to you, he knew what was coming. you refuse to accept it as his fault, but he wanted it. gabe said not to go to hospital, said to bury him yourself. said that saves money and time and keeps his family out of it. you can’t keep them out of it. he has a little sister, you can’t keep her out of it.
you wish you were like lewis, wish you could see ghosts. but you can’t. you can tell he’s with you, can feel that presence you only ever feel with him, but the only ‘him’ you can see is the body covered by a sheet being wheeled to the morgue. he’s gonna come back, you know that. but you don’t know that. gabe said every time is a risk. lou knew that, right? he knew that things could go wrong? but they didn’t. you’ll forever tell yourself it didn’t. but he might not come back. all you can do is hope. and pray. and beg whatever god there is to keep him around. he didn’t deserve to die young, he deserves to live forever. if anyone deserved to die young it was you.
he’s dead. you killed him. he’s meant to come back. but what if he doesn’t?
#reluctantseer#idk what u expected but i made a novel as usual with angst#my angst is a little rusty but i still cried#「 answered 」#「 answered memes 」#「 in character | camden clark 」#「 main verse | camden clark 」#death //
