I find it really funny that people think that Crowley and Aziraphale have to personally stop Armageddon: Round Two in The Finale and have this really long and involved plot to do so. Armageddon: Round One was stopped in about eight minutes by a quartet of eleven year olds. Crowley and Aziraphale were also there, I suppose...

Crowley and Aziraphale's entire contribution was to roll in out of nowhere with four seconds to spare and be like "You, Antichrist Kid! Your bio-dad is literally The Devil and he's coming soon so think quick!" and then cheer Adam on. They both made it to Tadfield separately on a wing and a prayer at the last possible minute and their role was basically GO TEAM!!! while The Them actually saved the day. Newt did more to stop Armageddon: Round One than Crowley and Aziraphale did.

Yeah, that could be different in The Finale but I'd still wager that it's more likely that Crowley and Aziraphale are more the motivation that inspires the supporting characters to take more direct action than that they're the ones who take out Satan and The Metatron and save the world directly themselves. Their role is inspiring the other characters to see that a different world is possible and supporting them as they do. They've actually done a lot of that work already.

S2 seemed like it was setting up for this a bit. Uriel's refusal to kill Maggie and Nina and support of Gabriel in 2.06 indicates she's on our main characters' sides now. Jim + Team vs. Satan seems likely after the suggestion in S2 that Gabriel is the only one who Satan is afraid of, since they have equal power. And you know who I bet is going be the one who deals some extreme sanctions to The Metatron? Michael. I don't think she's going to take finding out that it's all been a sham very well. Plus? She is the duty officer. 😂

There's going to be plenty of time for Crowley and Aziraphale to reunite because the story really works out in spite of--and kind of because of-- the stuff they've fucked up, not because of the stuff they do particularly well. I think this will be true in The Finale, too:

Soc characters as dads (hcs//what i feel they'd be like)

Kaz - 100% baby whisperer. He's been caught several times having ribbons and glitter in his hair from tea parties with his kids and he doesn't care. Criminal prodigy in training. He even brought them a small suit complete with a diamond encrusted on a stick that looks strangely like his cane. Inej catches him baby talking in his office several times, and it goes sth like this.

Kaz, doing taxes: you see, to do taxes, you take this number and multiplies with this. and then divide it with this Baby Kanej, reaching for a shiny object: *baby babbles* Kaz: aha, correct! You are a genius, and i see you have an eye for things. Excellent *proud dad moment* Baby Kanej: *more baby babble*

Wylan - It's wonderful. Wylan's 10 times the dad Van Eck will ever be. He's going to help this child in every way he can, even though he can't read them stories, he makes up his own, and he's quite amazing. When the kid's finally learned how to read, their roles flip and he starts reading Wylan stories. They have tea together and he teaches them the flute and even though the child seems to be quite terrible at it he's proud anywas.

Jesper - This baby's blowing up things and shooting by the age of 5. He's taking this child everywhere he goes (unless it's somewhere dangerous), he's showing it all his friends. he's teaching it all the Jespery moves and the child is getting the full how to Jesper on the dancefloor guide 101. He's showing the kid how to shoot, and he's teaching them secret names for each member of the Dregs (Kaz found out Jesper was calling him names this way)

Matthias - Afraid of his child. Oh no, they're scrunching their face. That means the baby is....erm....mad...right? At what? He's panicking now, he doesn't really know what to do? goo goo ga ga? What does that mean? Maybe Nina is more of an expert on this foreign language.... (//I think he ADORES his child and his hot wife but overall doesn't really know what to do with the kid and handles the baby like you might handle a piece of precious China).

Nina Hopkins

In 1983, the body of 14-year-old Nina Hopkins was discovered beneath a bridge in Durham. A fisherman spotted her lifeless form about 30 meters from the bridge, wedged between rocks, her body swollen and discolored.

An autopsy later revealed that Nina’s wrists and neck had deep lacerations, and her legs, feet and thighs showed severe burns, with patches of charred skin.

These injuries led some to speculate that she may have been the victim of a ritualistic sacrifice. However, authorities officially ruled her death as a suicide/drowning.

Her spirit does not linger near the bridge where her body was found because she did not die there.

Nina is located in the forest.

She can be found in Level One, quietly sitting near clusters of trees and rocks.

A faint smell of smoke and drifting flecks of ash mark her presence.

Rarely does she show herself, she is a silent watcher, more felt than seen.

Short because she’s not a major character, you guys can speculate her death if you like :)

it bugs me that annie is almost always set up as having adversarial relationships with other female characters, but I also think it's notable that her biggest displays of power and force are always done in the service of protecting women. she breaks out of the afterlife to drag kemp directly to hell before he can kill nina, she kills a vampire for the first time to stop him from killing detective reid, she persuades lia to let her out of the afterlife to go save nina again, and she re-manifests to spectacularly murder kirby before he can hurt baby eve. she's also usually willing to put aside her personal grievances to give needed help to women she doesn't like, ex. trying to warn janey harris about how serious owen's abuse is, getting protective of sasha when she finds out what was going on at the hospital, and pushing pearl to accept her feelings for leo before it's too late.

Also putting this here, btw Nina was never a Jeff the Killer fangirl lol, her creator doesn’t approve of the ship — in her og reference sheet her and Jeff had a sidekick/sibling dynamic and she was always shipped with Eyeless Jack. The reason why I say this is also because people keep asking me if Nina would be jealous of Ghost, she would not lol

for people who haven’t read the shadow and bone/ six of crows books, but have seen the show:

- inej ghafa is a survivor of childhood sex trafficking. she has ptsd and reacts in a panic attack at even walking past the menagerie

- kaz’s trauma isn’t just pekka rollins being responsible for jordie’s death, and waking up on the barge. he had to swim to shore, age nine and barely alive, using jordie’s body as a float

- the darkling has done far worse things than are shown on screen. he is not a ‘lost man’ and alina is not his ‘balance’

- alina was seventeen upon the darkling being nsfw/ romantic with her

- matthias helvar did not lead drüskelle, that was jarl brum- matthias is only just barely an adult himself

- the crows are not their own separate gang, they are part of the dregs, who per haskell leads and kaz takes over from haskell after haskell sold out his lieutenant (kaz) to pekka rollins

- zoya, genya, and alina have personalities outside of either being traumatised or hating each other

- alina never wanted any of the power and fame and idolatry, and in the end of the books is stripped of it all. she is very happy about this

- jesper is a gambling addict and somebody who watched the death of his mother
