hi, angel. welcome back to another glowettee hotline entry. today’s dilemma is one of my absolute favorites because your space? it’s everything. it’s where you wake up, where you dream, where you work/study, where you rest. a beautiful room is not just about aesthetics~ it’s about creating an environment that makes you feel like the best version of yourself. i'm a natural introvert, so if you guessed it... my favorite location is my bedroom, a big reason why every inch is just filled with my personality. posters, collages of images from my pinterest boards, coquette-esque furniture. so i know exactly what it feels like to NEED a perfectly decorated room. so i hope this post can help you <3

✰how to decorate your room (aesthetically & productively)✰

☆ 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝐨𝐧𝐞: 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐚𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜

first, decide on a vibe. your room should feel like an extension of your highest self. it should feellike you, but still with a set aesthetic to keep it oranized and less disorganized. here are some ideas:

❥ soft coquette: lace curtains, ruffle bedding, dainty florals, balletcore elements.

❥ elegant academia: dark wood, gold accents, stacks of books, vintage details.

❥ clean girl minimalism: neutral tones, sleek organization, a clutter-free desk

. ❥ k-pop chic: pink LED lights, cute posters, plushies, a vanity full of glowy products.

❥ euro girl elegance: chandeliers, ornate mirrors, perfumes displayed like art.

✨ glowettee hotline tip: create a pinterest board with your name + room vibes (e.g., mindy’s elegant academia space). fill it with inspo until you see a pattern. that’s your aesthetic.

remember, you can CREATE your own aesthetic, it doesn't have to be the ones i listed, or ones you find online.

before we add anything, we need to take things away. the fastest way to change the energy of your room? remove what doesn’t align with your dream self.

❥ toss out random junk, old clothes, or things that give you “meh” energy.

❥ organize your desk like an it-girl study space~ clean, inspiring, focused.

❥ replace clutter with intentional decor. things like: a candle, a vision board, a chic jewelry stand.

this is where your space truly becomes you. everything you add should have a purpose: to make your room either (1) more beautiful or (2) more productive.

aesthetic + functional decor ideas

❥ a statement mirror ~ for outfit checks, natural light reflection, & ✨ main character energy ✨

❥ a vision board ~ print out your 2024 goals, dream life inspo, and affirmations. frame it or pin it.

❥ soft lighting ~ warm fairy lights, a sunset lamp, or a delicate bedside lamp to set the mood.

❥ a chic book stack ~ self-improvement books, poetry, or classics that make you feel intellectual.

❥ a perfume tray ~ display your signature scents on a mirrored or gold-rimmed tray.

❥ wall art ~ framed quotes, magazine cutouts, a minimalist gallery wall.

❥ cozy bedding ~ a plush duvet, silk pillowcases, and an aesthetic throw blanket.

✨ glowettee hotline tip: if you’re on a budget, go thrifting for unique decor pieces or DIY things like a gallery wall with printed images from pinterest.

we don’t want a space that’s just cute~ we want a space that elevates you. structure your room so it guides you into your best habits.

❥ study/work zone ~ a clutter-free desk, a comfy chair, a planner, and all your school or work essentials neatly arranged.

❥ self-care zone ~ a vanity or dresser with skincare, perfumes, candles, and hair accessories.

❥ wellness zone ~ a small area for stretching, yoga, or journaling.

❥ relaxation zone ~ cozy blankets, soft pillows, a diffuser, and warm lighting for reading or unwinding.

✨ glowettee hotline tip: mentally associate each zone with its purpose. when you sit at your desk, it’s grind time. when you step into your relaxation zone, it’s time to romanticize rest. this trains your brain to be more disciplined AND productive without forcing it.

☆ 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝐟𝐢𝐯𝐞: 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐯𝐢𝐛𝐞

✨ because a perfect room isn’t a one-time glow-up~ it’s a lifestyle. ✨

❥ keep surfaces clean & organized daily (messy room = messy mind).

❥ refresh your space weekly~ swap books, change out fresh flowers, rearrange decor.

❥ open your windows often~ fresh air + natural light change everything.

❥ light a candle, play soft music, and romanticize your space every day.

✨ glowettee hotline tip: every night before bed, take 5 minutes to do a mini-reset. put things back in place, fluff your pillows, and set up your space for the next day’s success.

and just like that, your room isn’t just a room anymore~ it’s a sanctuary. an extension of your most elegant, ambitious, soft-yet-powerful self. a space where you wake up every morning feeling inspired and go to sleep feeling at peace.

TAGGING SYSTEM

I created this section in Google Docs for every single one of my muses. Below is a link to the symbols I used.

ARC VS VERSE : every single character gets both an arc and a verse that is undecided. Since you can search by both ARC and VERSE, I felt this would make the most sense. A verse is the overreaching section, so for example, SUPERNATURAL is a show, so it gets its own verse. Now for an ARC, I would be putting different sections in for, say, I want Hope to have a soulless arc, then that would be where that would go. Or say I want Hope to have an arc that she has her humanity off, it would fall under the arc section. It's not a big enough theme for me to make it a whole verse.

I can use the tag of no humanity in an arc repeatedly. Combined with, say, searching my Queen of Nola verse and the arc of no humanity, it should give you all of the information written about her no humanity time in said verse. Above picture shows you how I format my verse posts.

CHARACTER ID: This is an overreaching tag that covers pretty much anything written by me for that character, so answered asks, interactions, headcanons, drabbles, etc. all fall in line with this. You could also add it to your visage and musing tags, but I personally don't find that helpful.

This is an example of my tags underneath a reply of mine. More will be explained soon about what everything else means.

This is what I used to tag all the different types of calls I make. So someone can click on, say my meme call, and get to like a call for them to be sent memes.

Any reblogged content went here minus the ask memes, but you could very well put ask memes there as well.

This section is anything related to my set up. Now, I have two different blogs (more to come on why I do that later). This kind of shows you how I break things up.

The extra section is really anything that I couldn't figure out where it might go. So promos, scheduled posts, dash games, etc.

This one feels very self-explanatory. Anything that I personally want saved goes here

This section is anything created by me or something I agree with strongly. Graphics are different than my adventures in ps. The first for me is like character edits, while the second one is maybe asking for opinions or showing people what I am excited for.

I'm not a huge talker in the tags person. However, I do find a few things helpful to point out like when something might be triggering, if one should look at a link I put in my replies, making sure that people know to send the whole prompt not just the symbol (in case it takes me a moment to get it done and I need to know what the instructions for the meme was to prevent deleting a meme because all I see is a symbol or word and therefore have no idea which meme it is attached to. Sending the whole sentence is helpful and doesn't require a two-step process like asking for the meme and the link simultaneously. It is also beneficial to tell people to tell me what muse things are for as well, so that way I am not playing a guessing game.

The potentially triggering topic for me is an overall tag for triggers. I do also break it down into say " clowns tw " as well just for blacklisting purposes. However, the blanket tag covers so that say I forget someone is triggered by something and I forgot to tag it, there is a possibility that this might save it a little bit.

This section of tagging is where I get an overview of things. So, say you aren't looking for any muse's writing in particular that you want to see, but you want to see if we are a good fit to write together. Then you might want to see all my writing, which has answered asks, headcanons, drabbles, and interactions in it. Or maybe you only want to see thread interactions, so you'd go to all replies.

Since there might be a lot of tags (depending on if you are a multiuse or not), I recommend using a Google Docs or a draft post to hold all of your tags for easy keeping.

FORMATTING

The two dividers are from two different sources. The thin one was made by theresourcedhunted, and the thick one was made by dividing by underesources. However, I edited it to remove many of the fancy pieces as I wanted something a tad simpler.

To make my gifs centered without editing them, I use THIS blank space / image.

❝ ❞ is what I use for my dialogue around spoken words. ● A tutorial on making adding coloring to your replies faster without going into the HTML, but a single time. You could always use the few colors tumblr has built in for simplicity.

There are about 4 to 5 spaces between my dialogue and the rest of my text. I'm still trying to figure out what I like personally in that department.

To simplify things, if you use a Windows computer to hotkey and streamline some things, I use aText, a Microsoft Store application. All I have to do is enter a specific combo of letters and words to get a unique key or spacing that I set up myself.

【 ✉️ 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐍𝐀𝐌𝐄 】 : this is for any sent messages by my muse. Again, the fancy font is the same one I used in my pinned post. You could use fancy emojis and things. I colored the text of the name and bold it. The actual text is in a small-sized font along with regular normal Tumblr font.

【 📩 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐍𝐀𝐌𝐄 】 : this is what I tend to use for messages that my message receives. So, if I am writing a reply that my muse is talking to their friend, but my muse's mother texts them, and I want to show it, that is how I do it.

I personally like to link in headcanons in my replies and things for others to read if needed, share links to songs that might be heard in a reply, or pinterest links to images of maybe the muse's style that is relevant to a reply. I mentioned this in my rules so others know that there will never me links to malware or anything else and is always in good faith.

My formatting doesn't really change for headcanons. I use bolded fonts for the header of each headcanon. Then, bullet points might make it easier for others to find information and read.

every post that I make that isn't a starter tends to follow the same spacing that I mentioned being between my dialogue and using the same bolded font that I always use and was linked above.

Alright, here is a tip. If you have several tags and want to narrow down, say, a certain verse that has headcanons about it, as long as you know what the tag names are, you could enter both tags separated by a + in the middle to get all the posts between two tags (and possibly more, but I have not checked that out). So, if you are really organized tag-wise, then you can easily filter things out.

rhys and john keats - modern au!rhysand x college student!reader ❥

↳ reader can barely handle the weight of college but rhysand is there to pick her up and help the pain.

↳ so self indulgent it hurts. set in a modern age where reader is a college student but rhysand is still high lord? idk honestly. mentions of stress, self doubt, comfort, crying. my day-to-day life essentially.

the living room of your shared apartment with rhysand is a sight to behold. papers, printed copies of poems, books, pens, highlighters, and three energy drinks enclose you in a circular shape. it's horrifying and the sight is not eased by your messy hair, dark circles, and tear-stained cheeks. the semester was getting to you, clearly.

three papers were due for one class in the next two weeks. six quizzes were on the agenda and you had easily ten multiple page texts to read before class at 9am the following monday.

it had never been this stressful before but your time in college was coming to an end and that only ramped up the amount of work you had to complete. your final few semesters were certain to end you and you'd never get to walk across that stage to receive a blank page of paper which would eventually be replaced with your actual diploma. that's how it felt, at least.

minutes full of agony passed until you heard the familiar flapping of strong wings on the balcony. you didn't move from your sitting position as rhysand sauntered into the room, smile so wide it reached his violet eyes.

"my dear y/n," he whispered. his voice was so sweet that another tear forced its way out of your eye and down your cheek again. he must have sensed it, the stress pouring down your bond, or maybe he could somehow smell the salt of the tear as it dripped onto the page in your lap. he knelt down to meet your face and he pouted. "what's going on, darling?"

for the first time that night, you tore your gaze away from your work and met his eyes. "there's too much," you mumbled with a watery voice. "i can't do this."

he made a click with his tongue while examining the piles of work on the floor. his fingers lifted the assignment prompts and poems and syllabus requirements. more tears fell and you silently cursed each and every one of them.

"why can't you do it? what's challenging you?" he asked gently. it was not meant to condescend but he was trying to figure out how to help you in the best way possible.

"i feel like the analyses i'm coming up with are dumb, i don't understand the lines, the rhyme scheme is stupid, and i don't know what my thesis is for a moronic paper on keats should be. it's stupid and dumb and i'm stupid and dumb."

rhysand moved his hands to your cheeks before you could even react and pulled your face to meet his strong eye contact. his purple eyes bore into yours and he poured liters of reassurance down the bond. that mental claw in his head brushed against your mind in a calming manner. "do not say words like that, my love. you are so intelligent. and you're fully capable of managing everything on your plate."

you sniffed, feeling pathetic in his strong gaze. "i don't feel that way, though. i don't know how to deal with this stress, rhys. it's impossible. it's like this huge tower looming before me and i'm being asked to climb every single step in the best possible way or else i'll be pushed off of the top."

rhysand breathed out a sigh and his hand found your own. "i'm gonna help you climb that tower, okay?" he grabbed a brightly annotated copy of a keats poem and read over it.

"have you even read keats? or dickinson? do you know what a thesis statement is?" you asked. there was a bite to your words but it didn't faze rhysand in the slightest.

"of course i do, love. what do you think i do in my spare time when i'm not being an expert ruler? there's a small section i had put in the library, down on one of the lower floors, and it's full of human books. there's anthologies of authors, textbooks on writing, math theory, whatever you want, it's there. and i've perused it all. this poem-" he held up the printed keats "-is one of my favorites.

"so, the way i interpret this poem is that in order to withstand and stay strong in the face of suffering, we should indulge in poetry, beauty, and art. don't you think so?" he began to recite some lines which resembled this theme and suddenly, it all made sense.

he did that two more times with the other texts you had to write about. everything connected when he taught it and read it. you now had three outlines completed with well-developed thesis statements, annotated stories and poems for discussion, and three out of six quizzes were completed.

"thank you," you said, pouring as much love through your bond as you could. "really, thank you. this means so much to me."

"of course, my dear. shall i put on a sweater vest and glasses and replace your professor from here on out?"

you giggled and finally stood from the floor. the two of you walked into the kitchen to begin making a nutritious, filling dinner with your favorite velaris-sourced wine. "i would absolutely take you up on that offer if it didn't mean everyone in the class would be vying for your attention."

rhysand's arms wrapped around your midsection while you prepared food for dinner. his head leaned forward so that his mouth was by your ear. "i only have eyes for the smartest person in class."

Basic information:

❥ All of my works (so far) are x reader and I probably won't write stories featuring any OCs that aren't my own. If any of my stories ever feature one (or more) of my OCs I'll state it on top of the description.

❥ All of my stories are written in second person unless stated otherwise.

❥ I prefer to write female or gender neutral reader.

❥ Requests might take some time to write (self-care is very important for me! Also i have ADHD).

❥ I do write song-fics but I won't take any requests because my music taste is different from the average person and I’m not familiar with most trending songs (further information below).

❥ I might post NSFW content but won’t take any NSFW requests.

I am an artist and novice writer, I mainly do fanarts and original content of my own characters. Commissions are currently closed as I do not have any kind of system for those set up yet, but I wish to have them open at some point.

Joseph and you didn't really have much screen time together.

During the production of the newer season, your characters happened to have enough time to at least introduce yourselves and know of each other's existence.

It seemed like you two never really got to have your own chat outside of the group. Joseph almost admitted to swooning over you after the small interview you did with everyone from the older cast.

Twitter was quick to clip the way that he would sneak glances at you from the side, the way he would copy the form of your glossed lips formed into a smile.

It was always contagious for him, how he would always find some way to make you laugh with his jokes, always seeking your approval. It seemed like the entire internet knew that Joseph was pinning after you before you did.

You thought he was just being British? You weren't the smartest when it came to the cryptic parts of other people's emotions, struggling to understand even your own.

It seemed to be just a long drawn-out game of "when will Joseph have the balls to tell you" that everyone was clued in on all the exact details for you.

Sure, you saw the edits and the fanpages, but you also had been shipped with Joe Keery during the second season of the show. Just being used to fans shipping you with all of your co-stars at the time, you didn't think much of it, knowing that any male friend that you had would always lead to people thinking that you were romantically interested in them.

But that didn't stop Joseph from clinging onto you the best that he could, feeding the fanpages all the content that they could get from the paparazzi pictures of you two hanging out together. It wasn't the first time the public eye had fallen into a craze seeing Joseph lingering on you so closely.

During production, he would always find himself floating towards you, even without realizing it. It seemed like Joseph was always sort of seeking you out.

Navigating through the dressing rooms and sets just to venture into rooms on set that he didn't even know existed, you were always hanging out with some of the crew members, finding comfort in only a small number of people.

Joseph figured pretty early that you weren't much of a people person; even during interviews, your answers would be pretty brief and blunt.

Your personality came off as shy to others, but to him you were just a woman of few words, and God how much he begged to hear every single one, which was the reason why he would often take the twists and turns of the building's hallways just to see you in particular in your natural element.

He kind of feels like shit, almost forcing himself into your conversations, wiggling himself into your life. The last thing he ever wanted to come off as was some creep with a school girl-like crush on you, constantly swooning after every step, making you uncomfortable.

He’d end up awkwardly laughing at some joke that he couldn't quickly hear but wanted to not feel left out.

His own self-awareness was starting to eat him whole, using his script as an excuse to get rid of his fidgeting, flipping through some of the scenes like he hadn't studied his own and your lines like the back of his hand.

His eyes flickered back and forth, with only slight glazes in your direction, mostly while you were speaking.

It would be something he would do for a while, his mouth opening, trying to say something, anything, but always getting nervous and backing out to the point where other cast members would notice.

However, it's not his fault that he's so intimidated by your natural beauty, the way your dark two-toned lips formed words, or how even when you were purposefully covered in dirt and gore makeup, you always seemed to look so stunning to him. It's slowly becoming more and more embarrassing for him to just sit there and do nothing but look at you all day.

Joseph was just certain that you were the most beautiful woman he'd ever had the pleasure of working with, which already puts you completely out of his league.

And yet there you were going over your script, sitting off to the side away from anyone else in your own little world. Joseph couldn't help but smile as he watched you act out a scene almost fully with just your facial features, like you were imagining the scene all in your head. He applauded your imagination.

What Joseph doesn't expect is for your eyes to suddenly lock onto his. His posture stiffening by the millisecond, watching your shoulder roll back as your face goes blank. chill running down his spine as you stand up and walk over to him.
