Mystic Falls is clearly in the Lynchburg, Waynesboro, Petersburg, and Charlottesville areas. The series was mainly filmed in Covington, Georgia. When looking up estimated times, I always look up the distance from Charlottesville, Virginia, to the new place. While that isn't going to be exactly accurate, it is enough for me to feel it gives enough information. The information about the town's population is from the Vampire Diaries wiki.

Hope wasn't phased by the blood on her clothes. She acted like this was a regular thing and it was for her. The blood was littering her body, a sign that either she had been harmed or another person had been. ❝ It's not my blood. ❞ That doesn't produce a strong sense of relief. Hope

❝ The guy got what was coming to him. ❞ Was Hope ever ashamed of acts of violence? Yes, depending on the person and situation. This time, no shame lingered in her bones as her fingers played with the hem of her shirt. She was debating on taking it off.

A compliment was given by Rachel. As a nerd 【 could that be because the majority of her family is over 1,000 years old? Possibly 】 Hope has extensive knowledge of Marvel & DC films. The Scarlet Witch was extremely powerful, with the ability to create her own reality of Westview. So, for someone to say that Hope has a chance against that was high praise. ❝ Wanda is badass and has dealt with so much loss. The fact that she couldn't handle the death of Vision, so she made almost an alternative reality is kind of cool. ❞ A reality warper and mental manipulation. The way the abilities were red when in use. Count her impressed.

“I imagine.” A laugh escapes the blonde through a breath at that. “Like the Avengers,” She affirmed, nodding. “…I think you could stand a chance against the Scarlet Witch.” Which is a high honor, Hope, because she loves the Scarlet Witch. / @theceruleanskye.

Tired. That was what Hope felt after a very long drive from Mystic Falls to New Orleans, Louisiana. No one knows it yet, not even Hope herself, but this will be the last time her aunt sees her again for months. Not because Hope didn't want to be there, but because Hope is going to be in the belly of a beast, and upon getting out, no one would remember her.

The only reason Hope was here now was that Friday was a teacher's work day. Although it was more for K-12 students, it also benefited college students. There wasn't another class again until Tuesday, and it was now Friday. Hope wasn't complaining because it meant being able to be in NOLA for the weekend. It did, however, mean leaving her boyfriend. But Hope had spent most of her drive on the phone with him. It had taken her 17 hours to get home, but Hope had stopped to eat, nap, fuel up, and even do some light shopping ( for snacks and a new phone charger because hers decided to stop working at hour 10 ).

By lunchtime ( precisely 12 ), Hope had pulled in the parking deck under the Abattoir, which led into the head garden. It was then heading straight to her bedroom to shower. Her cat had been yowling at the closed bathroom door. If Hope had to guess, that was what had caught Freya's attention to enter her room.

After a brief conversation with her aunt, Freya wanted to show her something cool. Reaching out and allowing her palm to go flat on her aunt's large stomach had been very awkward. There were parts of Hope that were jealous of her aunt. Not because she wanted to be in that position ( not anytime soon. There is still so much life left to live ), but because it felt like Freya was entirely able to enjoy her life now. Then, some of Hope gets angry because Freya has moved on with her life. Hope sees no constant loop of grief and deeply feels it in her core.

Hope had lost her parents after turning 16 years old. Her mother had been there to watch her blow out her birthday candles, give her the keys to her old truck, and give her a new iPad, which she claimed was from Klaus, but Hope knows that was a lie. She had figured out it was a lie since she had caught the receipt for her iPhone for Christmas 2025 in her mother's purse when she had been searching for her mother's phone for her while Hayley had been out of the room. So it is more likely that every gift since then (and maybe even before) was a lie. Her father had "forgotten" her from 9 to 16 years old. Hope realized later that her father had never forgotten her, as she thought he had.

Hope never said a word when she opened her gift on Christmas morning, which had been labeled by her mother as from Dad. Based on the handwriting alone, it was clearly from her mother. Hope had only mentioned that new iPhone ONCE to her mother in the car on the way to New Orleans for break.

Ever since her parents died, Hope has changed. This was to be expected after such a traumatic loss. However, Hope has become a shell of the person she once was. In the past few weeks, Hope seemed happier and more full of life, which was new as of late. She talked to her aunt on the phone more than once on her own volition. There were even selfies sent to Freya to show her makeup, her boyfriend, and herself, as well as clothing options. It was almost like how Hope had been before she had stopped being herself.

A nudge could be felt under her touch, causing Hope to pull her hand away. ❝ That's totally freaky. ❞ The nineteen-year-old's eyes shift up to start at her aunt. The idea of her cousin saying "hi" was rather strange. It felt like he wouldn't even know the sound of her voice by the time he was a year old. Hope isn't even sure if she planned to move back home for summer break, which Salvatore College does have. ❝ Does that hurt? ❞

Josie was never good at assertiveness. Years of being the hidden twin show in everything that she does. But with Penelope, Josie is seen. Today had been one of those days that Josie just wished to forget. Penelope looked fine, but Josie couldn't help but wonder if that was the case. The siphoner stands there with a mouth open slightly. Words failed her for a moment. The idea of Penelope in her bed felt intimate and like home. While Josie won't admit it, she missed it.

Josie takes a deep breath to steady herself. She swallows, trying to get the thought of Penelope in her bed like she would have had they not broken up. ❝ Your bed. ❞ Josie inched closer to the witch. Fingertips wiggled at her sides, itching to reach out to grasp Penelope's hand in her own.
