If anyone sees this, hello there!! after that binding vow theory i have another one right here! this time its about my boy Megumi and his CT!

I dont want this to get too long again so I'm just gonna get right to it! First of all, this two pages from ch 13!

In this scene, we saw Megumi discover that he has access to a pocket dimension in the shadow realm. Which is very super cool! ((look at him, he's so happy (つ╥﹏╥)つ))

And this is all cool and all, but! I don't believe for a single second that this ability has been there the entire time and Megumi just never knew. Kids are curious, so there's no way that Megumi as a child just never accidentally slipped through his pocket shadow like that.

So where did he get this?

Here, my friend, is where the theory begins!

Chapter 9:

This was when Orochi died :'( and i think you can see now where I'm going with this ehe. Sukuna killing Orochi gave Megumi direct access to Orochi's power! Because Megumi discovered this ability right after the juvenile detention incident!

Now this could be hard copium since we don't really know much about Orochi.

is the only one we have of it showing its power. And by this small panel, we can speculate that Orochi's power is shadow focused. But its just speculations!

When Shiro died, it combined with Kuro right after - because Kuro and Shiro are a pair! But when Orochi died where did it go?

hmm...

Now, i know that we saw Sukuna have access to Max Elephant's water jet - which was super very cool too - however, i think that one is different compared to how the shadow pocket integrated within Megumi entirely.

But! I dont think the shikigamis have to be dead for a user to borrow its ability; Sukuna was able to imitate Max Elephant's ability and Megumi, using Chimera Shadow Garden, was able to create shadow clones of himself (something akin to the rabbit's ability) all while the rabbit and the elephant are alive. Them being ultra dead (like orochi, agito, and makora) just gives the user complete and total control of the dead shikigami's ability. (....Probably!)

I think Gege had an author's note somewhere where he explains the passing of power for the shikigamis but i cant really find it right now.

Favorite Story you've worked on this year: i have no clue lol, Derek's Kumquat probably? Technically i worked on it dec 2023 & posted jan 2024 so idk if it counts as this year LOL, it was originally my fic idea for sterekreversechallenges' Sterek 1000 Cakes Challenge based on the word prompt 'kumquat' but the plotbunny was too fat for me to write in time 😂 I've reread it many times & like to laugh at the dumb kumquat puns & jokes everytime when I do 🤣 (also ofc the smut is peak 🤌)

Favorite character you've written this year: Stiles or Derek! Idk which though - Stiles is funner & easier to write for me in the sense that i tend to write him a bit rambly/there's more of a lighthearted tone to his inner monolgues/thoughts, but I actually relate to Derek a lot so depending on the fic, writing Derek's depression & struggles always feels cathartic to me, especially since I'm often in the midst of one of my fat depresso™️ waves when I write those fics LMAO 🤣

The nogitsune took a step back, then another. Stiles strolled forward. "I end all things that begin, but have no end," he repeated, tapping his bat against his shoulder. "What am I?" Theo took one look between Stiles' smile and the retreating nogitsune and tried to escape—Scott pinned him down to the ground with a conflicted grimace. "C'mon now," said Stiles as Derek came to stand beside him on the porch, slashing down the wall of earth one of the gods conjured with a flick of a claw. "I thought you loved riddles." He slashed his palm, ichor spreading over his bat, and the nogitsune froze. "I end all things that begin, but have no end," he spoke, winds blowing. "What am I?" The nogitsune tried to flee, the winds blocked their way. They turned back towards Stiles. "Death," they said, and Stiles slammed a hole out of their side with a booming crack of his bat.

Heat radiated in thrumming, scorching waves as the blazing sphere of fire descended on him, and he waited for the last second, when all eyes would be on him, to open the crack once again; he waited for his skin to begin burning, smoking, to clench his fist with a resounding cra— Nothing but cold, cold air touched him. No breeze, no smoke, no fire. All he saw before him were clouds and for a moment, he thought that he'd been sealed away, until he noticed that the other gods still stood there, silent, staring at the clouds as well.  The thin clatter of an arrow dipped in liquid violet shot by Hoderi, God of the Sea, broke and fell to Derek's feet, an echoing pindrop amongst the speechless hush. It was only when Stiles' arms wrapped around him that he realized. The entire top half of the chamber had disappeared. Clouds stretched out before them past the razor sharp edges of the shortened walls, cut in a single slash so quick and clean that it cleaved through the walls in a soundless sweep like butter without anyone noticing until after the fact. And the cause of it floated behind him, arms looped around his neck—one hand lifted to cut an ichor-tinged line through the air, and Hoderi's head rolled to the floor. What remained of the chamber roared back to life. Attacks rained on them, but Derek just stared at the way Stiles' wet eyes blazed as the skies darkened and the clouds thundered with vengeful rage. Tears mixed with ichor left gold-tinged tracks on Stiles' cheeks, and maybe it was because Derek's vision darkened around the edges or because his body couldn't feel anything past the poison throbbing through his veins, but he brushed his lips against Stiles' face to kiss the tear tracks away, a barely there graze.

His first impulse would be going around pestering others to entertain himself lmao he’s a social creature through and through, BUT he could easily get lost in a project and spend the whole day tinkering by himself with spare parts. He has yet to actually invent anything that works but it’s only a matter of time before that changes, right?

☕ - What is their preferred beverage(s)?

A beverage is like, any *non-water* drink, right? My man’s got a fierce sweet tooth, he could get down with just about any tongue-stingingly sugary drink indiscriminately, but i think he’s best out of all my ocs about staying hydrated. He’s got one of those water bottles marathon runners use. Yknow the ones with a mist feature that he constantly sprays himself with by accident. Also enjoys sparkling water cos IT TASTES LIKE 1,200 VOLTS!!!

🧠 - What is their stress response: fight, flight, freeze, or fawn?

Always defaults to fawn, he hates conflict terribly and doesn’t want anyone to come away from a situation with hurt feelings. He’s not a doormat, just wants to be fair to all parties and (foolishly) assumes the best of everyone. If pushed, though, or if someone he cares about is put on the spot, he’ll fight. Would prefer not to tho, and he’d be pretty sad it got to that point

👁️ - How do other people perceive this oc? How close do their first assumptions come to the truth?

At first blush he’s got that distinct ~tall dark and handsome badboy~ vibe that isn’t entirely a mischaracterization, but also doesnt even begin to cover it. People start off drawn to his charm and rebellious nature only to realize he’s a juvenile clown who uses the ol hand buzzer gag when he gets to second base. Hes genuinely unhinged in the unsexiest way, just wait til he gets old n’ ugly like the rest of us

❗- What are the highest priorities to this oc (at a point in their life of your choosing)?

In his own words, gettin’ tail and having a good laugh. Im pretty sure he justifies every major life decision with “wouldnt it be funny?” Terrorized his local community for the lulz, squandered all career opportunities for a cheap joke, moved regions for a fresh start and fucked it all up with more clownery, joined a band for the spectacle, etc etc. He basically functions as a personal horror story of compulsive self-sabotage

💝 - How much effort do they put into appearances? Do they have a favorite article of clothing?

She assembles outfits with purpose, but also doesn’t like to spend more than 20ish minutes on prettying up. Usually I’ll give ocs piercings cos body mods are super important to me but rufus is the exception since those are a bad idea for fighting. He favors practicality over fashion, but can appreciate when there’s an overlap. For example he loves spikes, and patches up tears in his clothes with grey and light blue fabrics (his favorite colors)

✨ - Tell something that makes this oc feel happy!

Getting punched in the mouth, because that means she gets to retaliate. She’s far from a righteous plucky shounen protag but insists she’s the good guy, so she’ll reference having this undefined Warrior Code Of Honor that constantly adapts to whatever makes her the hero of a given scenario. He also loves catching low-gliding whimsicott out of the air and making wishes :3

🐰 - How huggable is this oc?

Depends on what youve done to “earn” a hug. She’ll squeeze you like a pinsir’s vise grip, feels pretty good if you need your back cracked. He always hugs two and half a seconds longer than youd expect him to. Pros: feels warm, embraces fully and firmly, not opposed to lifting you if desired. Cons: skin feels a little rough, rigid and stiff hold, 50% chance she’ll whisper something threatening in your ear before letting go
