im rewatching magi again to remember the true magic and the characters as well to write them better in the kinktober fics. yeah, it def has some racist/colorist problems, making nearly all of the cast white or tan or european despite their names and inspirations being literally mostly from the middle east (ex: most ‘spell’ names or words are literally arabic words. sinbads “bararaq seiqa” is just “bolt of lightning”), doesnt shy away from nudity or jiggling breasts but all these things can get placed to the side for a moment so you can enjoy the sheer amount of intricate world shinobu ohtaka created. the trade, diplomacies, tactics, magical systems, names, magic spells — everything feels so real. like this world of magi and magic is true and i would even dare say that it has solid foundation similar to tolkiens works

Today I was cleaning Chanterelles (a type of mushroom) cuz I was going to cook them. Then I halved them just cuz, with no particular reason, and the first piece I halved had a fucking worm inside. I moved my knife down and suddenly a worm jumpscared me. And this happened twice within ten mushrooms.

I am never going to recover from this.

the same happened to me while i was preparing fire wood. we buy like two or three kilos worth of firewood when in the summerhouse and i was just chopping some of the much bigger ones that wont fit the fireplace and bam, a fucking fatass white worm just wiggled out from a wood i just chopped
