some bittersweet thoughts abt dating aventurine / sunday after playing 2.1…

firstly, I think I underestimated how hard it would be to get into a relationship with someone like aventurine,, he would need to trust you immensely in order to even attempt dating you

but once you do date him, he’s still very hesitant on being affectionate towards you

he had lost everything, everyone that was dear to him, so the idea of having someone he could lose again scares him

he’s careful not to grow too attached to you, always keeping you at an arms distance despite how much you love and care for him

every morning, he makes sure he wakes up before you so he can leave your side early. it’s not that he doesn’t want to be around you during such vulnerable moments, no, but rather he fears he’ll get too attached to you

he makes sure to tuck you in and press a sweet kiss to your forehead as he smiles to himself sadly before heading out

if you ask him about his reasoning behind leaving so early, he’ll just make excuses and dismiss it as ipc work (there’s a whole angsty idea I have for this related to believing he’s cheating but idk if I should write it)

you try your best to be understanding, staying by his side and comforting him whenever he needs it

in return, he spoils you using his immense wealth

see a necklace you like? no worries, just tell him—tabs always on him after all. want to go out for dinner? of course, the most luxurious restaurant rented out just for the two of you.

it’s his way of making up for his distant nature towards you, he’ll even allow you to hear some stories about his past such as the day he got branded as a slave as he stares at you with a soft gaze and a subtly melancholic smile (he even permits you to call him by his real name, kakavasha!)

with sunday, I believe he’d be a tad bit paranoid when it comes to you

as a neat freak who desperately needs control over anything and everything, he feels like he needs to have some form of control over you as well

you’re very dear and precious to him after all, and he can’t just allow you to slip away from his hands like how robin did

his little bird servants are watching you day and night, making sure you don’t get into any trouble

and at the end of the day, he always asks you regarding what you did the entire day while using his ability to make others tell the truth—he has to make sure you didn’t do anything that would potentially get you into danger, no?

he feels guilty and regretful for resorting to such methods to ensure your complete safety, but he tells himself it’s better to be safe than sorry

if he can, he’ll try to have you by his side as much as possible so he can have you directly under his watch and protect you if necessary

he makes sure to handle you extra delicately and gently, whispering sweet nothings into your ear as he helps you wash your hair

he even allows you privileges such as touching his sensitive wings as well as his halo, hoping it helps convey just how special you are to him

to him, you’re safer under his watchful eye and control as the two of you happily spend your days together

if anyone had even dared to imply that they would harm you, sunday would deal with it immediately and make sure you would never see them again

even with all the dirty work he does, you’ll understand, won’t you? everything he does is for you, after all.

I think an overlooked tragedy that I don't see anyone talk about often enough is Cassandra Nova fully believed that her Charles didn't care for her enough to come looking. When, in fact, the truth is that he did not know he had someone (else) to care for.

We have already seen the things he would do for Raven — the extents he would go to for her, just to make sure that she was safe and happy and okay. We have also already seen the things he would do for fellow mutants, especially his X-Men. So, we know without a doubt, the kind of person Charles Xavier is.

So, there is no reason for Charles not to care for Cassandra unless ... he didn't know. Which, we can deduce, he didn't. Because if he did, it would be as Logan said — He would tear apart the universe to get to her, to get her home.

And it is such a sad and sickening thing to see what happened to the two of them. In another lifetime, perhaps the TVA would not have cut her off so quickly, and they would have been able to grow up side by side and grow into strong people together.

But in this one, Charles will never know his sister, and Cassandra will continue to resent her brother.

Okay but no, y'all don't understand. Everyone's talks about the Nova au thing, talking about how Harrow wants to be a bad girl who protects Gideon.

But like, it goes deeper.

In that AU, it's not just her that's different. It's the house. It's Gideon. It's her birth. Harrow isn't the product of genocide, people come visit the ninth house, she isn't haunted.

She's a serf, but she's freer than she ever has been in canon and she still gets to be with Gideon.

It's... Kind of heartbreaking, but so cool. I will absolutely create content based on this because why the hell wouldn't I?

thinking about touching the exposed skin on aventurines chest…

the two of you were currently alone, enjoying some much needed peace after a long day. though, you suppose the peace wouldn’t last long since you let your impulsive thoughts take over.

what would happen if you teased the skin beneath aventurine’s chest window?

before you could stop yourself, your hand had already reached out to caress the exposed skin.

his reaction was one you found quite delightful, his body immediately tensing up as he narrows his eyes at you in a playful manner. “oh? I didn’t know we were playing this game tonight.” aventurine smirks—a feeble attempt at covering up the way you had slightly flustered him. it was obvious your touch made his heart throb and his breath quicken, his pupils dilated as his cheeks were coated in a rosy tint. your sudden touch had caught him off guard, his trust and affection for you allowing him to safely lower his guard around you.

“I just wanted to see how you’d react, that’s all.” you quickly respond, hoping to dismiss any ideas of him retaliating and teasing your body back as well. despite how you seemed to want him to forget about it, you only added more fuel to the fire once you decided to teasingly lick his exposed skin.

feeling your warm tongue on his smooth skin, aventurine couldn’t help but bite his lower lip as he looks down at you with half-lidded eyes. to be frank—he enjoyed it when you played these games with him. it gave him chances to amuse himself, as well as chances to enjoy your touch.

though … he considered reciprocation to be the best part in these little games.

which is why there was a mischievous and sly smirk on his lips as he uttered his next words. “mm… you say that, and yet, you’re still choosing to continue. I’m sure you’re aware of what you’re getting yourself into, aren’t you? so… better prepare yourself.” aventurine chuckles lowly at your surprised expression. now, he was sure he implanted many ideas into your head regarding what he would do to you—but he chose to make you anticipate his next actions as he begins to pull his gloves off with his teeth.

…this ended up much more suggestive than i intended for it to be(*ﾟ▽ﾟ*) but regardless, enjoy!

I sincerely hope Cassandra Nova didn't just die off like that at the end of the movie. I think she has a lot of potential to wreak havoc, which I, for one, cannot wait to see.

I don't necessarily want or need her to be redeemed at the end of her story, because that's, honestly, boring and when executed in a wrong way, it will assassinate her character point blank (no pun intended). I do, however, want to see Cassandra Nova explore the 'outside world'.

Because the Void—and the poor folks that get pruned and sent there—are all that she knows. She has heard stories about the real timeline from the variants, sure, but she hasn't been on it since she was but a literal baby.

That's why her entire speech, she sounds so resigned; so caged. As this, all of this, is the only thing she has ever known. Frankly, the only thing she is allowed to know, and then the only thing she chooses to know.

I think fear plays a hand in that element, along with comfortability. I think in spite of how powerful Cassandra Nova is, she still cradles the fear of rejection. That's why she said that in the Void, she can use her powers as she pleases. That's why her selling point towards the other mutants especially in the Void is that they can be whoever they want to be (as long as they are obedient to her), because that is what the Void promotes: Freedom.

Now that Cassandra Nova stopped limiting her freedom, I'm curious to see as to what she does next. I am going to be thoroughly upset if she's gone just by the end of the movie because fuck, I really want to see what happens next to her character.

I also just really, really want her to meet Charles and realise all of the lost potential, honestly. Do I want her to end up coming home to the X-Mansion and being an X-Men and playing good twin siblings with Charles? Not necessarily! But I do want her to be given that choice, regardless of what she does with it.

Good outcome headcanon for Maggie: when she wants Nova, sometimes she doesn't bother voicing it she'll just use her telekinesis to tug on Nova's bracelet a few times to get her attention
