She had been called to the attention of Pink, wishing for some attendance and feedback to what she had for her. In the recent years, she had done her best to look towards their youngest Diamond. She was apart of the council after all. With what she had in plan, Blue was not aware of what she wanted to show to her at this moment.

Her Pearl had arrived at the double doors of her chambers, hearing Pink Diamond's presence. Back and forth conversation allowed her to enter since she was not occupied at the moment. The door simultaneously shut for a minute, then reopened to allow Pink inside.

"Welcome, Pink Diamond. Blue is inside and not occupied, so you may come speak," she whispered.

Now this was something she had of great importance for Blue. Looking up from her collection of items that she was sorting through, she turned around to her door, raising a brow.

"What is it, Pink?"

Homeworld.

Homeworld was something her diamond rarely talked about but was a big topic amongst the gems on earth. Coral was curious but never tried to push in learning or accepting of what was heard of the rumors. She preferred to get her intel from the source as it is her purpose.

Now she was here with her diamond, Pink Diamond, who requested her to accompany her to seek audience with the other diamonds. Coral already knew she had to be at her best, but was surprised when her diamond asked her to be in disguise.

So Coral... or rather 'Ruby' was walking with her diamond towards the right chamber with the halls decorated in blue and aquatic theme. She was quite curious as to what the other diamonds were like. So much to learn...

They stopped right at the door and waited until they announced Pink's arrival before Pink gave a secretive smile to 'Ruby'. This was her perfect gem and she knew none of the diamonds had one like this one. Not even White!

>Within the series and the movie + Steven Universe Future, Blue Diamond takes on the role of residing in the social status of gems. She serves as ones who can feel with her, sympathize with her, and find comfort in one another's feelings to bring solitude. Rather than "creating" clouds of her tears to bring joy to others, she works with speaking to gems individually to understand them better. Beforehand, her role was similar before Pink's "shattering", but not entirely.

>Before Pink was shattered and Earth was blasted, Blue only was there to serve as the emotional system for gems and in the major social standing of the ranks. She was of the highest order within the more authoritative gems and controlled the royalty ranks and poverty ranks. Every gem had a purpose, but not all of them were working.

>Shortly after Pink's "shattering", for 6,000 years, Blue's role as the emotional system for the gems was resorted to painful waves of grief. There was no proper time for Blue to fully grieve (nor did White allow her to cry out and Yellow only served as a temporary supportive person to lean on.

>With Blue's powers, while they use hints of water, they can also control the weather and other various forms of showing her temper (doesn't always apply to Homeworld). On Earth, she can control the weather to bring down pouring rains and heavy clouds at her will. She has more control over bowing people to her will to feel what she felt to a psychological level. On a more positive note, she can speak to those telepathically through emotion and can turn one's mood to another side easily.

>Yellow, on the otherhand, takes on the war-riddled side of Homeworld and is not in anyway soft to her gems. Within her court, she forces them to stay under her rule with a terrifying fist, but does not control them. She has a more authoritative way when it comes to commanding gems solely with her voice. She doesn't have control over weather, but she can transform various elements in nature (extreme forms of terraforming). Her power, unlike White, can shatter gems at will into a multitude of pieces, but can reform said gems carefully.

>Before and after Pink's shattering, nothing much changed with her view on worlds except for her armies and commanding of conquering other worlds. They became more strict, more heavy, and more stern. Her emotions are not as easily seen and are kept within her gem compared to Blue, and she is the only one she will ever be soft towards. However, towards the other gems in her Court, she became a little more aggressive and enforced her ruling much more harshly as a way to grieve for the loss of Pink.

>With Yellow's powers, while she can perform terraforming and physical control of gems, she is able to repair and reform other forms of life. It is not always gems, but her electric powers can provide power and life in seemingly lifeless gems or other organic lifeforms.

When Pink was "shattered" and had disappeared from Homeworld, Blue Diamond was the first to find the remains of her gems. Laid across the steps of her palanquin, her gem had laid in pieces. She realized what had happened in the moment of seeing who she thought was her younger sister, dead in front of her. Piece by piece, she desperately tried to put the shards together over and over, sobbing and mumbling in her own tears.

It was in that moment that her power of emotion overcame the entire planet, sending them into deep despair as her banshee shriek of a painful cry echoed across the planet, mourning for their loss. Her loss. And for the next 6,000 years, she mourned with the grief of losing Pink and for what she had done to her to make her leave.

With that, this was her punishment. Her punishment of suffering for the years of treating Pink Diamond so terribly under the direction of White. She was the one Pink trusted the most, and she took that trust away from her. The firm trust and love that every gem deserved.

To Blue, Pink's shattering was her fault.

>With how often she's working to improve her approach on things and breaking toxic cycles, Blue is actually the most willing out of the three Diamonds to change. She is looking for new ways to stay in touch with her Court and fellow gems, wanting to know others personally now that she is coming out of her shell. It's a slow process, but she's working to it.

>I think, between her and the other Diamonds, she takes comfort knowing that changing is okay. Before, she lived in fear of White. I believe her constant pressure on Pink was due to White's painful expectations where perfection was almost impossible. Now, she can freely be herself without being so worried about perfection in that sense.

Cashmere only looked up at the woman as he sat down with them with a soft smile upon his half covered face. Placing his staff on one side and his coffee on the table. Yet he looked at the person who spoke to him and well…color himself impressed to see someone as tall as him sitting before the Emissary of Exaltia. “A-Ah. yes, I prefer to drink coffee nowadays since it keeps me quite awake at night.” He replied grabbing his coffee with his crystallized hand bringing it up to his lips to sip on. 

     In comparison to the sheer size of the cafe, it accomodated for her incredible size, being taller than most forms of life around here. She stuck out from the crowd pretty noticeably, being the only (literal) giant in the room. Seeing a stranger sit near her was more than comforting, having that pained aura around her.

     “It is comforting to hear that someone else is also a night owl like me,” she smiled softly. “I am not one to be a morning bird. The night is much more welcoming, don’t you think so?”

     Adjusting to rest on her arms, she glanced down at the gifts Star had brought to her. Strange... she had been given offerings and gifts before in the past. Perhaps this was something different. Seeing how small the boxes were, she gradually allowed herself to size down tremendously, retaining the size of a six-foot woman. Holding the boxes, she pulled open the lid of the first one, holding the book in one hand and the photo from the other box.

     How... thoughtful. A picture of them together, hand in hand (literally). She couldn’t help but admire it, stars sparkling in Blue’s eyes before she was pulled into a hug by Star, slowly returning the hug and holding them tightly in her grasp.

     “...it is just enough. Thank you, my Star,” she smiled. “You are a delight. I thank you for your gifts, dear. I... appreciate them very much.”

"Well, your mother, she was... exciting," she sighed with a smile. "She was one to make us laugh, you know! Even White Diamond. She knew how to make people feel so much better... even me. Though, the expectations of your mother were... never well. Not for any of us, but she knew how to make us smile. Does that... answer your question?"

@monmuses liked for a Halloween starter! (With Blue Diamond, and this is our first interaction, too! I hope it’s a good one 😁)

Garnet’s head suddenly raised up, a flair of the premonition of something important rising through her. Sure enough, up ahead in her ship had landed Blue Diamond; why she was here was unclear, but the Sapphire side of her was always happy to see her former, reformed, Diamond. She ran over to her, eager to greet her.

“Greetings, my D-” Sapphire, get a hold of yourself! “Greetings, Blue Diamond. Welcome to Earth! Have you come here to observe how Little Homeworld is doing?”

Around them, the humans and Amethyst were busy helping to put up Halloween decorations around the town. Orange and back streamers, skeletons and ghost props, and buckets of candy most of all.

     For Blue, it was a rather... strange, yet an enjoyable holiday. An entire month where scares and sharing candies while dressing in strange costumes was something to celebrate? She didn’t quite understand at first when she visited Steven and his friends. Though, she gave herself some time to study up on it, and even shared what she had learned with Yellow and White. Unlike them, Blue really began to like this holiday. It grew on her a little bit since the last year.

     Tonight, she had come to visit as the town had begun to set up decorations. The air was crisp with a spooky feel, which had Blue feeling right to her gemstone. Her eyes glanced down at the fused gems, a pair she had grown to know more as Garnet. She gave a soft smile, gently chuckling at the slight little slip-up. Old habits truly die hard, don’t they?

     “That I have. I have never heard of such a holiday that Earth celebrates,” she said. “Hallow’s Eve... It has quite a lovely ring to it, filled with a ghastly presence when mentioned. And it seems that it is quite a common event people celebrate. It circulates every year, does it not?”

     Part of her wanted to know a little more, which was... a little bit of a reason why she had come to visit their world. With how it was turning out, the entire planet was preparing itself for a spooky season this year. “It is quite interesting. I learned a little more about this holiday. What exactly... is it that you do for it? I have read on so many things, so many different stories, yet they are all so different. What is Hallow’s Eve about?”

"The Sapphire... yes, I remember her. She was one of my most trusted Sapphires. I had her for quite some time... but not for as long as my Pearl. I was rather... bitter about her going with one of the Rubies she was assigned to, but they seem quite happy. That, I am... very proud of. A Sapphire as diligent as her with a strong-willed Ruby. They are... quite the bond, aren't they?"

"...my Pearl?" She asked softly, thinking. "Well... I treat my Pearl quite well, you see. It is not common for them to be treated with delicacy, but every Pearl has a purpose to someone. Even for themselves, that I have learned through Steven and his friends. Though, I am... grateful to have a Pearl that is kind and patient with me, despite my many years of grieving. I have taught her the many things necessary when under my Court, but she has taught me quite a few things too...

>Blue heavily relies on a second opinion before making a final decision. Often times, she listens to her heart more than her own logic, but this can often switch when she is angry or annoyed. It's why she leans so much onto Yellow for more logical choices because of her hard-headedness. However, instinct does often come first, but her heart speaks much louder than she wants it to.

>Beetlejuice runs on his OWN rules and talk to himself for more advice. He can make his own doubles to talk to! But with Beej, it is quite literally fact when people say he DOES NOT work well with others. I believe he has of APD (Anti-social Personality Disorder), which is a result of why he pushes people away so often. He runs on the heart on his sleeve AND with his brain, but mostly his own feelings.

>Damien actually uses his logic way more than his own emotions. With handling quite a lot as a child and having such strong emotions as a kid, he's taught himself how to harden his own feelings to protect himself. It's a defense mechanism when he finds himself feeling too emotional or feels the lid tipping over. You will never see him run on his feelings unless he truly senses something is up.
