She had full intentions to be as modest as she could be when speaking to Coral. Aside from the heavy peer pressure from White Diamond, this was ... an honor. Truly, it was. She felt a sense of wonder and awe to speak to a fresh, new gem with a wonderful purpose.

While Pink was gone for a moment's time, she wished to know a little more about Coral. What was she like? What else could she do?

"I see ... and that is expected. Mimicry of weapons can only last for so long," she muttered. "With your abilities to perfectly replicate forms ... what else is there to your abilities. Can you mimic voices, perhaps? I'd like to know what else you can do."

Coral blinked up at Blue with a small blush on her cheeks. A first of being complimented by another gem, another diamond no less. When meeting Pink, she was burst full of energy and so excited that Coral was pretty much speechless.

She wondered if all diamonds were the same but Blue held more of a calm yet... radiant aura.

Still, she made sure to hold her emotions in check in the presence of a diamond and do her best to answer her questions. Coral also was exploring more of her own abilities too.

       ❝ Why... thank you, Blue Diamond. I can hold my shifted for quite a long time. As for my weapon, I am able to match based on the gem I turn into. However... should I poof, my weapon would reset. ❞

If there was one thing that Blue Diamond would always stay true to, it was her respect and honesty for Pink. Of course, with White always keeping an eye on them, this gave them an opportunity to be ... forward. There's a chance to get to know Coral as a new gem to be apart of their kind. Besides, this was revolutionary for Pink! Blue wanted to tell White, she really did ...

... but there was worry for perfection. For everything to be right. What if that was the only criticism that could never be resolved?

"It is an honor to witness the existence of a new gem. A beautiful one," she smiled. "I find your form to be perfect. How effectively can you use your shifting form? Can you ... mimick certain abilities or weapons, if possible?"

       ❝ Thanks Blue! I'll be back. Be good, Coral! ❞

       ❝ Yes, my diamond. ❞

Coral obeyed as she gave the salute to her diamond. Pink smiled and waved Blue and Coral off before following Yellow Pearl to meet with Yellow Diamond.

The infiltrator gem then slowly turned back to Blue Diamond, hair swaying in such a way and glanced at her curiously. This was her first time alone with another diamond other than her Pink. She was told before of how taller the other diamonds maybe but Coral of course had to see for herself.

Many claimed they would be in awe, terrified, thrilled or even brought to tears when meeting another diamond.

Coral, however... only grew curious.

       ❝ It's an honor... Blue Diamond. ❞

Gently she walked over to Blue Diamond, pushing away some of her hair out her face so that the superior gem would see all of Coral's real features.

       ❝ What would you like to know? ❞

" ... you are," she spoke softly with a nod. "You always are. We would not have the happiness and joy in our fellow Gems without you. As much as I may sound ... demanding, it's for good purpose. Your Coral has quite a special talent to be able to perform these changes in her form so easily. And perfectly."

That was the key-word: perfect. Everything with how her Coral had performed her demonstrations was perfect to a T. The shifts in her form were perfect in the color, the shapes in body and head, everything. It was something that White Diamond would be most peculiar about. Though, with being proud ... Blue wanted to believe she was capable. Just not right now.

"And I ... care for your happiness, Pink. I believe you will do ... wonderfully with your colony," she spoke with a smile. "And ... of course. Take your time, please. I will watch her."

In her gem, she hoped that what she said came across as meaning the best of intentions for Pink. With White's everlasting expectations growing higher and higher, it was tougher to be gentle to her. This ... was difficult. For now, she was careful to keep watch of her Coral, unsure of what to ask.

" ... care to join me for a conversation, dear Coral?" She asked. "I would like to know what else you are capable of ..."

Pink felt a bit of pride building up of hearing Blue admit that, though it didn't last for too long as she had resisted biting her lip to answer, resisting the small fear building up. Yeah, she had fought long and hard to have the opportunity to prove herself as a real diamond. But... she would have to admit ONLY to herself that she didn't know ALL of the details.

The small diamond didn't try to sweat it at first, figuring she would learn along the way and she would know easily enough after her colony was done. But... she couldn't just ignore or sway this question away from Blue. She had to answer right!

Glancing at Coral, she looked to see her special gem give a confidant glance. Even though she remained neutral, Pink could tell whenever Coral was confidant and happy. And in a weird way... she knew where that came from.

       ❝ I do, Blue. I know I may seem annoying at times, but I'm a diamond with a purpose too, aren't I? It's about time I show and prove it. And I just know my colony will be great... even more so with Coral with me. ❞

Pink turned again to Coral who gave a soft smile to her diamond.

Before the conversation could continue, the doorway opened and showed Yellow Pearl giving the diamond salute.

       ❝ Pink Diamond, my diamond has requested your presence. ❞

Pink resisted the small urge to groan. Right, Blue wasn't the only diamond who wanted to talk to her today.

       ❝ Sorry, Blue. I have to go handle this. But do you mind watching Coral for me for a minute? ❞

It was truly wonderful that Pink could showcase her own gems and their abilities with her own colony. Perhaps they were a bit too harsh on her than they had anticipated. However, they hadn't properly disclosed what it took to run a colony; how much it took to moderate multiple colonies and to keep them in line without much discipline. While her smile was warm with excitement, she truly held some worry for Pink.

She didn't know the entirety of her responsibilities... but could she be ready?

"...perhaps we do. I have my reasons to, but to hear your results is... relieving! I should say," she explained. "I have my reasons to worry, and so does Yellow, despite how... brash see seems to be. But Pink, may I ask... how do you feel about handling your colony? You enjoy it, and I am proud of you for that! But do you... uhm, get the entirety of what you do for the colony?"

Pink grinned before nodding Coral to demonstrate her abilities like they practiced. Coral obeyed before she concentrated with her gem as she shined a bright white light. But before her form changed, her gem began to shift in shape and color before choosing her new form...

She started as a simple Amethyst guard. Then shaped into three more forms.

A lapis.

A peridot

And then a Sapphire.

She then continued her demonstration of her abilities still shapeshifted before she pulled out 3 projection screens to show the progress of Pink's colony on Earth.

       ❝ The quartz soldiers have successfully emerged and have proceeded towards their task. The Beta kindergarten also has produce... ❞

Pink grew a bit nervous regarding her colony status, knowing that's what her fellow diamonds would ask the most. But it seemed Coral was handling giving the information just fine and projecting everything she's seen. But she made a cut off point so her new gem didn't say too much, in which Coral then shifted back into her regular form.

       ❝ See Blue? I told you I got it covered with this colony thing. You and Yellow worry too much. ❞

To have a sense of pride for her own Diamond brought a smile to Blue's face. She recalled how Pink had been begging for a colony of her own, and while she was in support, Yellow and White had other thoughts and hesitations to truly give her one. They all caved in to assign her a colony, and already, Blue could see that it was worth the choice. A wonderful new gem had come of her colony, and she was proud of it!

Hands clasped together with excitement, watching her salute and presentation in front of her. "Oh, this is wonderful, Pink!" She smiled. "Absolutely wonderful. I see that the progress of your colony is going well. How far are you with the colony, may I ask?"

Though, curiously, she nodded. "I do wish to see... An infiltrator. What else does she do aside from her perfect shapeshifting?"

Hearing Blue's response made Pink beam happily! She couldn't help but puff her chest up in pride, crossing her arms in a proud grin. She was going to soak in the praise of making her own one-of-a-kind gem that not even Yellow or White had.

'Take that, Yellow!'

Coral couldn't help but look between the two diamond leaders and flushed for a moment regarding the reveal but maintained her composure as much as she could. She understood how the earth gems talked and wondered about the other diamonds and it was an awe to be in their presence.

That wouldn't stop Coral from performing her job at her absolute best though.

     ❝ She's all MINE, Blue. Made directly from MY Earth colony. You're definitely not going to find one like her. Go ahead and introduce yourself, Coral. ❞

     ❝ Coral. Facet 100. Cabochon 13. I serve as my diamond's infiltrator for her Earth's colony. ❞

     ❝ Aaaaannnd she can turn into any colony gem. You wanna see? ❞

The confusion sat in her expression until she had been met with the strange glow from the Ruby, form shifting from another color from another gem. She wasn't a Ruby! Her eyes lit up at the sight of its change slowly shifting, almost surprised. This... was new. She had been met with a new form of gem; one that could change its form and color to mimic other gems.

And Yellow wasn't around to critique the necessities of this gem, so...

"...oh my stars! This is wonderful, Pink!" Her voice was filled with joy, admiring the beauty of her Coral. "Absolutely wonderful! I have not seen such a unique gem before! Say, where did you retrieve her? Certainly not from any colony we have control over, no? I must know!"

Pink couldn't resist the sly grin on her face of what she was about to do. She turned to Ruby with a pleased smile and pointed to her for her cue.

Ruby then smiled and closed her eyes as she remained in the diamond salute before the familiar white glow surrounded her...

Except more than her formed changed.

Her color, her form and even the shape of her gem changed!

When the transformation was done, Blue Diamond would see a totally different and new gem! She held the salute before speaking...

       ❝ My diamonds. ❞

Pink's face grew into a grin, happily clapping as she never grew tired of her new gem's capabilities!

       ❝ Blue, meet my Coral! ❞

She recalled about Pink's progress and excitement, raising her brow, "...yes. I do remember," she muttered, slowly turning her body forward to Pink. "You wish to show me one of your best gems? Well, I would like to see--"

Blue had stopped mid-sentence, gaze falling down to the smaller and fitted Ruby that stood in silence next to Pink. Approaching forward with a few steps, she had mastered her salute in greeting. Curious, she... nodded. More slowly, even.

"...another Ruby from your colony?" She hadn't known of what Pink had been planning, setting her things down. "I assume you have taught her the salute and everything?"

Pink entered first and greeted Blue as she usually did with a grin and a wave. She told 'Ruby' to wait by Blue's and her Pearl so the surprised wouldn't be spoiled. She figured it would be better to test it out on Blue first instead of Yellow. The latter diamond would definitely throw a fit or may even steal her!

   ❝ Well you know how I'm working on my usual colony thing. I thought if you weren't busy, I'd show you one of my best gems yet! ❞

Pink turned to the doorway and waved for the other gem to come forwards, crossing her arms confidently as this was playing out.

Under her command, the 'Ruby' walked forward and silently did the diamond salute to greet Blue Diamond.

She had been called to the attention of Pink, wishing for some attendance and feedback to what she had for her. In the recent years, she had done her best to look towards their youngest Diamond. She was apart of the council after all. With what she had in plan, Blue was not aware of what she wanted to show to her at this moment.

Her Pearl had arrived at the double doors of her chambers, hearing Pink Diamond's presence. Back and forth conversation allowed her to enter since she was not occupied at the moment. The door simultaneously shut for a minute, then reopened to allow Pink inside.

"Welcome, Pink Diamond. Blue is inside and not occupied, so you may come speak," she whispered.

Now this was something she had of great importance for Blue. Looking up from her collection of items that she was sorting through, she turned around to her door, raising a brow.

"What is it, Pink?"

Homeworld.

Homeworld was something her diamond rarely talked about but was a big topic amongst the gems on earth. Coral was curious but never tried to push in learning or accepting of what was heard of the rumors. She preferred to get her intel from the source as it is her purpose.

Now she was here with her diamond, Pink Diamond, who requested her to accompany her to seek audience with the other diamonds. Coral already knew she had to be at her best, but was surprised when her diamond asked her to be in disguise.

So Coral... or rather 'Ruby' was walking with her diamond towards the right chamber with the halls decorated in blue and aquatic theme. She was quite curious as to what the other diamonds were like. So much to learn...

They stopped right at the door and waited until they announced Pink's arrival before Pink gave a secretive smile to 'Ruby'. This was her perfect gem and she knew none of the diamonds had one like this one. Not even White!

       ❝ Blue should be in there. I can't wait to see the look on her face! ❞
