A flick of her ear was followed by soft huffing to herself, pressing her lips together while attempting to hide her face. Even with confidence, the idea of being together forever in a marriage made her stumble on her own words. Though, with the kiss admittedly bringing the heat in her face down, she gave a little nod.

" ... you make me all nervous when you spoil me like this," she chuckled to herself, peeking from the hand pressing against her cheek. "Marriage is such ... a huge milestone!"

Though, she was beginning to fold, gently pushing herself into him as she returned her face to tuck into his neck, " ... I know on our wedding day, your vows will sound just like how you're speaking to me ... "

"Aw, why not?" Church teased, leaning in to press is forehead to hers and give Tanith's nose a quick kiss. "No shame in being excited about it, right?"

He might as well keep reminding her of it, if it'll make her blush. A reliable way to enhance that cuteness!

"Beautiful. Gorgeous. Sexy? Absolutely angelic?" He laughed. "I could go on."

QUICK LITTLE UPDATE BEFORE I FORGET!! BUT!! I LEAVE FOR COLLEGE IN ONE WEEK!!

this is important because i will be doing a couple of things before the new year. one big thing is a NEW INBOX! i will wipe every ask i have left over once im done with replying to asks. which means, i will reply to as MANY asks as i can while i work & pack my things.

second thing is NEW SCHEDULE!! classes are set and im gonna try to land a part-time job but i will be somewhat busy with classes as i will make that my main focus. BUT! my queue will start back up when i officially start college on the 8th of January!

it's gonna be a new start and its hopefully gonna be MUCH better than last year. i promise nobody is gonna be left behind in my replies or asks nor will i dip anytime soon, but im slowly figuring shit out and will be doing replies as often as i did for this year.

anyways i love yall and hopefully we'll kickstart 2025 to a much smoother and exciting start. :)

i got a couple hours before midnight hits but before 2024 ends, i just wanna say i love yall :) apologies for not being around as much in the last 2-3 months but i enjoy the friends ive made and changes that ive endured this year! its definitely been challenging, experiencing things that i never thought would happen. however, things get better, and they definitely have been better.

hopefully, for 2025, things will be better. things will be changing, for better or for worse. though, i wish yall your best futures! i hope for something better to come for next year!

This week had been awful. Back to back missions where his own ass had been trampled, both in sleep and energy. Why did this week after the Christmas season kick him in the ground the most?

Though, to his surprise, he was met with a wonderful Christmas treat - a getaway trip into the woods with a rented winter cabin, personally owned. A week trip of peace and quiet, away from the kids and the Doc. For one full weekend. Was he dreaming?

" ... don't tell me this is your way of spoiling me," he said, smirking. "I hope this isn't your way of turning me on. You're making this too easy. A week with peace from the kids ... it's almost like you're reading my mind of what I wanted.

" ... you got something planned for this trip, don't you?"

There could be a group out there in the same spot as them. For all they know, there could be an entire civilization still alive out there, beyond the waters. Right now, though, they were all they had. No military, no survivors, no nothing ... for right now. And as stubborn as their group were in certain areas, he could at least agree that they had to stick together to survive. None of them could run out there on their own.

And Ally had to understand that they had no room to believe that they'd be willing to toss her to the zombies because of being the equivalent to a fishing weight. Though, he paused, glancing left and right to make sure nobody was around to hear him ...

" ... sure. I'll be here 'til you fall asleep, kid," he spoke, painfully trying to be assuring but he was at least being honest for once. "Just get some sleep. Not gonna try to wake you up for a while 'til we need to get moving.

" ... just don't tell Coach I said that or anything. Or Ellis, for crying out loud ... "

we're all that we got.

he's right, as much as they didn't want to admit it given his attitude.. he's right. they felt like maybe he would've agreed on something, anything, being so used to the 'tough love' being a façade- being left behind. it always had their stomach in knots. avoiding sleep, not taking as much resources.. did any of them think that they were a burden, or was this a lie to keep themselves from getting closer to people?

maybe they did need sleep after all.

"i'm sorry." ally meekly replies, body slumping down against the wall, then curls up on the floor. eye remains open, but just barely. "just.. stay here, please." ally hated sounding like this, like a child seeking comfort after a bad dream...

but they had to know where his loyalties lie.

He fumbled over his words for a second, " ... o-oh, well, I've only seen ... green variations. In photos, and the other guy I had met." It was almost sickening to see it turn him in the mirror, and witnessing it happen in another who wanted to hurt others; it was a polar opposite to David's own morals.

The story, though, held much more sympathy in his eyes than what David had done to himself. A guinea pig experiment that had gone horribly wrong, costing his previous life and a friend. A frown crossed his face, aching his heart for a moment.

" ... I don't blame you for going that route. Just to try and live," he spoke with empathy. "I'd say it sounds ... scarier. For the transformation to be affected by rising blood pressure rather than an adrenaline rush." Much like his, in its own weird way.

"And I'd believe the size. I can't recall what happens to me from time to time, but I've ... seen myself in reflections. Or in photographs. I almost want to know with a size comparison."

There's a pause. It was almost like déjà vu hearing those words from somebody else once. He recalled meeting somebody, who was long dead now, to say something about having the condition that he did; a "disease", he personally called it. Or possession, whichever came first in his mind. Curiously, he looked towards Ross with a quizzical look, hesitating to speak while his thoughts ran for a bit.

... except his was red? That caught David off-guard. What would specifically change the skin to red upon transformation?

" ... I guess I'm not alone in this whole thing," he said. "What do you mean ... it's red? If you don't mind me asking. I've met ... another one like me before sometime ago. He ... underwent the same experiment I did, but what happened exactly?"

Absolutely fucking wonderful. This was in very bad taste for him, and time seemed to slip by incredibly fast for the Christmas season, and he hadn't gotten a gift. This was the first year he had forgotten, and it was a week before Christmas. Shit.

Though, coincidentally, Apple had needed a gift as well. Bigby had ran to the closest store that had something in Snow's tastes when it came to clothes, jewelry, everything. It had something that she wanted, but he'd make it a surprise.

Running into Apple, he was a little bit flabbergasted; he didn't expect someone he'd recognize running to the same store. With a cigarette he had been burning through, he had it between his fingers before dropping to the ground to smush with his heel.

" ... last minute Christmas shopping?" He asked, almost embarrassed. "I ... might need your assistance with something."

Amy didn't hesitate to immediately squeal with excitement, holding it carefully with both hands before pressing it against her cheek. "Ahh! It's the cutest li'l thing I've ever SEEN! I'll cherish this mug forever! It's spooky season all year! Thank you so much, Sonic!"

There's a pause as Knuckles holds the seashell with googly eyes in the middle of his palm. He's ... looking at it strangely. "Thank you ... for this gift, hedgehog. I will ... keep this on a large pedestal elsewhere. To watch our backs." He likes it.

Tails, on the other hand, excitedly took the laser pointers and began to test them out on the walls. "Oh, I can't wait to try these on Ozzy! He's gonna love these!"

Metal stares at the thing sitting on the table. Its eyes almost seem to close with a defeated sigh. This is an insult, they thought to themselves. It won't stop turning its gears and clicking its legs on the table.
