1 - Vayn's Bites; the little vampire bites on his forearm, chest, and neck are from Vayn. Every now and again, he'll feed on Loux, though this is usually because he's made to; Loux might not respect him, but he does care about him very deeply. He will absolutely not allow him to starve to death - most of the blood he drinks, from bottles or packs, is Loux's. Any other bites, i.e. those on his thighs and hip, are from Red Hand vampires.

2 - Horn Impalement Scar; Loux was impaled on a were-bull's horns which almost killed him; See this drabble if you want to know what happened.

3 - Ice Burn Scars - Rear Left-side of His Body; See this drabble to know why. Loux is extremely susceptible to ice damage, such that it can paralyze him or completely destroy not just his skin, but his muscle and bone as well, and will make him extremely physical ill no exceptions, render him borderline catatonic.

4 - Ice Impalement Scar; He was impaled by a shard of ice in this drabble.

5 - Long-Term Effects of Discharging; caused by lack of magic use and build up of magical energy, ranging in symptoms specific to the mage. In Loux’s case, if he goes without using his magic, thereby facilitating the build up of energy, his body begins to break itself down. Some parts of him catch fire and effectively cook at extremely high temperatures, melting and charring magic-imbued flesh to volcanic blackstone, with toughness similar to tungsten and the malleability of aluminum. It causes him intense pain, threatening to burn away at his vitals if he’s not careful; the only way to alleviate the heat, potential loss of limbs or life via eventual explosion, pain, fever, exhaustion, insomnia, vomiting, slow-cooking, volatile and accidental expulsion of magic, he has to use a lot of magic all at once. One spell after another for hours, further degrading the body if only temporarily. If he does not regularly use his magic, he is a walking time bomb that could kill not just himself but many, many others too. Alternatively, he may lose his magic altogether.

6 - Other Scars; On his right thigh are the talon marks of a dragonkin in Deadeye's employ, who had him savagely beaten and left for dead when he was 16 - the long, gnarled overlapping scars on his shoulders, collar, and chest are from the same instance; On his right shin/calf are the claw marks of a sorcerer he killed; All non-vampire bites are from the night he was nearly killed himself at the Packhouse (linked above); There are three jagged scars coiling around his throat, also from the same night (didn't write it out tho).

Drishti is a term used in Vedic astrology to describe the planetary aspects or casts that planets have on specific houses or other planets in the birth chart. These factors are thought to be important in interpreting the overall dynamics of a person's life. In Vedic astrology, there are various sorts of drishtis, and each planet has its own set of aspects. The principal drishtis linked with each planet are as follows ↴

𝖘𝖚𝖓 ❂- aspects 7th house away from its self

✴ While the Sun represents originality, vitality, and leadership, its aspect on the 7th house denotes an emphasis on connections and a need for recognition in the framework of partnerships.

So when studying the sun and the house that it is in, inspect the 7th house away from the house that the sun is in (house opposite).

EXAMPLE- say you have your sun in the 4th house, the sun will have an effect on the 10th house. Therefore not only will the individual have a strong emphasis with family roots, traditions etc (unless afflicted) but with the aspect with the 10th house it will expand this and can tell us that the individual might have a connection with family business, or the individuals family is a huge part of their career or success. Their individuality and leadership may come from their family traditions etc etc. (unless afflicted).

𝖒𝖔𝖔𝖓 ☽ - aspects the 7th house away from its self

✴ The Moon's aspect extends to the house in the birth chart that is directly opposite its position. This indicates that the Moon has an impact on the house opposite the one it is in.

EXAMPLE- if moon is in 12th house, the moon will have an affect on the 6th house. Not only will the moon will aspire 12th house characteristic (isolation, dreams, imagination) the moon (ruling emotions, comfort, intuition) will influence the 6th house (mental health, daily routines, pets also.)

𝖒𝖆𝖗𝖘 ♂ - aspects 4th, 7th and 8th house away from its self

✴ Mars is a fiery and driven planet that represents energy, determination, and ambition. It governs bravery, self-assurance, and the ability to take the initiative.

While looking at mars in the natal chart, the houses that its aspect will give a deeper insight and extension of what you are looking for.

EXAMPLE- if mars is in 2nd house (of voice, stability) in your chart, mars will have an influence on the 5th (fun, confidence), 7th (equality, business) and 8th (sexuality, inheritance) house in your chart.

✴ Jupiter is the planet of growth, intelligence, and beneficence. It symbolises greater learning, philosophy, morals, and guidance.

The influence of jupiter will occur in its drishti aspects also along with the house that its in.

EXAMPLE- if jupiter is in 10th house (career, recognition) in your natal chart. jupiter will bring luck and its other influence to the 2nd (voice, income), 4th (foundations, mother) and 6th house (service to others, hygiene) in their chart.

𝖛𝖊𝖓𝖚𝖘 ♀ - aspects the 7th house away from itself

✴ Venus represents love, beauty, art, and aesthetics. It influences romantic relationships and the appreciation of harmony.

When studying venus's traits, the drishti aspect will accommodate deeper to what you are looking into.

EXAMPLE- if venus is in 9th house (education, religion), venus will also project onto the 3rd house (sibling, writing). The individual might love to learn new religions or may love learning in general, with that they may love writing and hanging out and socialise in foreign land. They may travel a lot to visit their siblings or cousins as such. (keep in mind that afflicted placement matter and may change the interpretation).

𝖘𝖆𝖙𝖚𝖗𝖓 ♄ - aspects the 3rd, 7th and 10th house away from itself

✴ Saturn is the planet of structure, discipline, duty, and hard work. It governs time, constraints, and the lessons learnt from life events. Saturn is a naturally malefic planet, but its powers can also bring about maturity and wisdom.

When looking into karma or such (ruled by saturn) the houses in which the aspects are in will also influence that area of your life. Think of it like an extension. The aspects give extended information.

EXAMPLE- saturn in 8th house (transformation, spirituality) in your chart will aspect the 10th (profession, achievement recognition), 2nd (wealth, values) and 5th house (creativity, romance).

Few attempts on text legibility were made here and in the reblogs of that post. And no, these notes do not belong to Sebastian -- it is a headcanon.

We do not know the author. Howevor, Isidora is the most probable candidate for the authorship due to the name 'Percival' appearing but the what is likely a timestamp, 1632, veils on that probability, if to assume it is a timestamp, of course. It might be not. We don't know.

Interestingly, the artist tasked to fill up the boards wrote the spellings of the Middle English words: weter, strem, ston, chaungeable.

Diacritical marks were not widely used in the writings done in this language, if at all. You can read about it in more detail here.

These symbols are the triskelion and the valknut:

The latter although predates the Viking era, may not be as old as the former; the former is common in many of ancient art, going as far deep into the ancient history as Helladic and Mycenaean eras of the Ancient Greece and the neolithic mound in Meath, Ireland. Weirdly, the stone objects MC can throw with magic have blue-ish carved symbols on their surface; the carvings look somewhat distinctly Pictish, the choose for colour therefore sounds… like it's Let's Throw Everything Ancient To The Region To The Greater Mix Of Things.

Uranus, Nepture, and Pluto aren't a part of Alchemy due to a very simple reason: by the time Uranus was officially discovered in the 1781, Robert Boyle had already published the book The Sceptical Chymist: or Chymico-Physical Doubts & Paradoxes, in 1661. He'd effectively removed the word 'Alchemy' from the use and replaced it with the word 'Chemistry', thus also avoiding the confusion between branches of Alchemy that did research on various materials (that includes spagyric teachings; Paracelsian physicians were the people turning poisons into cures and remedy) -- and what people inspired by Hermes Trismegistus developed smooshing many different things together, such as philosophy, alchemy, astrology, etc, creating a wtf.

They also needed to be at school at the time, so could be a professor, a member of the staff (a gamekeeper, for example), a Headmaster; unlikely it was Corvinus Gaunt, who was a student by the time the castle would receive plumbing update (late 17th--early 18th century).

'Aura? Ancient Magik' has to become my favourite kind of explaining things to meself because I, too, have no idea what this means:

Father Adrian Lupine is in his mid 20’s, average height, and fat. He has curly, wavy red hair that reaches the top of his collar, and soft features: brown doe-eyes with long lashes, a round jawline, a button nose, and full lips with a defined cupid’s bow. He has square glasses. He’s a little (a lot) insecure about his looks, his weight and ‘soft-ness’ in particular. If he were completely honest with himself, he really doesn’t mind being ‘pretty’ instead of ‘handsome’ (though he wouldn’t describe himself as either,) but he was teased mercilessly for it when he was younger, by his peers and his parents.

Adrian is bisexual, with a slight preference for men or masc people, and has known since he was 14. He also grew up Catholic, and knew to keep his mouth shut about it. He is completely in denial about being anything other than a cis man, but is still very respectful of other people's identities.

Adrian is mostly submissive and a bottom, but can be persuaded to dom/top, and is secretly very kinky for a priest. He might not have much or any practical experience, but he does have an internet connection and fantasizes a lot. 

Adrian is outwardly very friendly and polite, soft-spoken and kind. Inwardly, he’s anxious and lonely, feeling stifled by the collar while being terrified to lose the stability priesthood offers. He is very aware of the reputation of the Church, and notices who shies away from him when he’s wearing the collar. He knows there’s nothing he himself can do about that, but he goes out of his way to be as polite as possible in public, finding small ways to make sure people know he’s not ‘like that’, that he won’t berate others for not being a part of his religion. It’s really only on very rare occasion, usually alone, late at night, and post bottle of wine, that he allows himself to wonder why he became a priest knowing full well what the church is like. 

Recently graduated from seminary and moved to St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church about a year and a half ago, but much of that first year was spent not holding mass. Instead it was spent renovating the church, which had sat empty for almost a decade. The building itself was quite grand back in the day, but the town it’s in has seen slight decline in recent decades, and after the last priest died it wasn’t a priority to keep it updated. Adrian secretly suspects the diocese put him here specifically to get him out of the way after being a little too open with ‘constructive criticism’ of the Church while in seminary. St. Sebastian is a very quiet parish, not a lot of catholics left in town these days, and Adrian is doing his best to make his church useful in ways that aren’t strictly religious: community food gardens, charity drives, movie nights, anything he can to build his reputation with the community. It’s a shame he has secrets that leave him afraid to let anyone get too close, lest he get reported to the diocese.
