it actually started as an attempt to just recreate the background with some newly downloaded brushes as a test to see how they worked but I later decided to make a full on screenshot Redraw. Btw I started this during February break but kept on procrastinating causing me to only finish it today.

Personal headcanon that the grey streaks in John's hair look like strands of spider webs, and that as his hair continues to grey throughout the series the "webbing" becomes more and more intricate.

Not only is it the physical manifestation of his Web mark, but it's also indicative of how he's always been a pawn in the Web's machinations. And how his development as the Archivist - resulting in his premature greying speeding up exponentially - only served to bind him tighter to the Web's grand plan.
