Allah's love. The never ending and the purest form of love. It gives life to the heart and sustenance to the soul..
Allah says in the quran
إِنَّ اللَّـهَ يُحِبُّ التَّوَّابِينَ وَيُحِبُّ الْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ
Translation-
"for Allah loves those who turn to him constantly and he loves those who keep themselves clean and pure"
There is nothing in this world that can fill the void in your heart other than Allah’s love.
No relationship, no friendship and no other human bind can make you feel full at your heart.
When we start giving this space to emotions that can't fill it, that is when we start feeling depressed, start feeling anxiety ,start feeling the void.
Try and learn more about your roots.
Look around>>observe nature>> you'll find every reason you need to love Allah...
May Allah forgive me if I've written anything wrong.

ISLAM 101: Your Purification: Part 1
The Meaning of Purification
The Arabic word tahaarah (purification) denotes purity and cleanliness.
Allah commands Muslims to purify themselves outwardly from forbidden appearances and all types of physical impurities, and inwardly from the unpardonable sin of shirk as well as diseases of the heart such as envy, pride and hatred. Once they do so, they become worthy of His love, as the Qur’an states, “Allah loves those who turn to Him constantly and He loves those who keep themselves pure and clean.” (Soorat Al-Baqarah, 2:222)
Allah also commands them to purify themselves prior to standing before Him in prayer. If man generally cleans himself and puts on his finest clothes before meeting a person who has a worldly position of authority, such as being a king or a president, then, surely he has to do so before standing before the King of kings.
What is the Required Purification for Performing the Prayer?
Allah commands Muslims to purify themselves and perform the partial ablution (wudoo’) before engaging in such ritual acts as performing the prayer, touching the Qur’an and circumambulating the Ka‛bah in Makkah. He also recommends them to perform wudoo’ before doing a number of things, such as reciting the Qur’an from memory, supplicating and sleep
Therefore, before a Muslim offers a prayer, he must remove two things:
Ritual Impurity
Physical Impurity
Purification from Physical Impurity
Najaasah The Arabic word najaasah denotes all physical substances which Islam considers impure and commands us to remove them before engaging in an act of worship.
Sharee‛ah The general rule in Islamic law (Sharee‛ah) is that all things are considered pure, and physical impurity (najaasah) is only an intervening factor. Thus, if a person has doubts as to whether or not his trousers, for instance, are clean or not but there is no proof for any type of physical impurity on them, then they should be assumed to be clean, following the general rule. If we wantto pray, we must first remove all physical impurities from the body, clothing and the place where we intend to offer the prayer.
Things that are considered impure include the following:
Human urine and faeces,
Blood (except if it constitutes an insignificant amount),
Urine and dung of animals that are considered unlawful for human consumption,
Dogs and pigs,
Dead animals (except for those ones that are considered fit and lawful for human consumption and have been slaughtered according to Islamic rules. Human corpses, fish and insects are considered pure.

My sister has been sending me pictures of how her in-laws are showering her with love. The meals they're preparing for her, the way they've decorated her room, and how the cousins have gathered around to make her feel special. She's truly having the time of her life. They are not letting her enter the kitchen at all. Barakallahu feekum. May Allah increase the respect and love between them infinitely.
Yet, even as I share in her joy memories from my own early days of marriage come unbidden. I can't help but recall the stark contrast. My first morning at his place was unique, his mother knocked the door, I peaked through it, she said "come", her chin pointing towards the kitchen. I looked at him for a response and he said, "go". I couldn't enter my bedroom until it was 4pm. This became a routine. My first week was a whirlwind of chores which later became a theme of the marriage. Everyone would be out to work while I work to put food on the table when they return at noon or at night. I'd work selflessly with an clingy toddler. No acknowledgement. Zero appreciation. Even asking how the food tasted annoyed him. "Why do you need so much validation?"
Anyways, during my first week I remember my hands turning rough, the texture of paper, from endless washing of dishes with soap that my skin wasn't used to. I asked him to feel my palms one day, he laughed at me and called me a snowflake. One evening, after nearly an hour of scrubbing pots and pans, I made the mistake of asking him for help. He took over, but not without anger radiating from him-his face, his eyes, his whole being. "If you can't handle a simple chore," he said, "why did you even get married?"
I felt the words ripple through me like shockwaves, and in that moment, I understood the path that lay ahead.
In later years, when I reminded him of the endless chores I had to tackle as a newlywed, he would seize the moment to taunt me. "You’re not a newlywed," he’d say with disdain. "You’re a divorcee. You were married for three years before. How can you even call yourself that?"
Then, as if my efforts meant nothing, he’d add, "Who asked you to do those chores? My mother? She’s been managing all this work for years. Whatever you did could just as easily have been done by a bua. Don’t give yourself so much credit. My mother wouldn’t die without your help."
The words stung deeply, reducing every ounce of effort and goodwill I had once poured into that home into something trivial and unworthy of acknowledgment.
The irony of it all is that his mother would constantly pester me for chores, and I did them lovingly. I wanted to win their hearts, thinking that in doing so, I might win his too.
But now, looking back, all I feel is this strange self-loathing. How could I, someone so spineless at the time, let myself endure what I went through? I was becoming her. Keeping myself in abusive relationships and playing the victim. It was my decision to endure this. Why did I endure this? Now, this ends with me. This cycle ends with me. I will not be her. I see now how much of myself I gave away. Love is not earned like this? Affection out of everything in this world should come naturally.

"The Coin." From Surah 3, Ali Imran, "Mary's Ancestor."
Tumblr media
3:72-76 The Essence of Belief.
And a faction of the People of the Scripture say [to each other], "Believe in that which was revealed to the believers at the beginning of the day and reject it at its end that perhaps they will abandon their religion,
And do not trust except those who follow your religion." Say, "Indeed, the [true] guidance is the guidance of Allah . [Do you fear] lest someone be given [knowledge] like you were given or that they would [thereby] argue with you before your Lord?" Say, "Indeed, [all] bounty is in the hand of Allah - He grants it to whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Wise."
He selects for His mercy whom He wills. And Allah is the possessor of great bounty.
And among the People of the Scripture is he who, if you entrust him with a great amount [of wealth], he will return it to you. And among them is he who, if you entrust him with a [single] silver coin, he will not return it to you unless you are constantly standing over him [demanding it]. That is because they say, "There is no blame upon us concerning the unlearned." And they speak untruth about Allah while they know [it].
But yes, whoever fulfills his commitment and fears Allah - then indeed, Allah loves those who fear Him.
Commentary:
One of Muhammad's greatest challenges was to reconcile different religions. He hated arguing with people about nonsense beliefs for which no one could provide any proof, despised hypocrites who turned away from practices religions legislated for our benefit.
Muhammad disliked keeping Kosher immensely, thought incessant praying was ridiculous, he lamented idols, he thought they were exactly what they appeared to be: lumps of rock or hunks of metal. And if he throught idols or strange stories were compelling people to harm their neighbors, he held war councils and hewed them down.
Finally, God gave him the Quran which explains the how Great God Allah, who is the One Fount all mankind can turn to for truth, readiness to face the environment, and how to eke out a steady, straight path through the trials and tribulations other persons were surely going to provide along the way.
All of this is rolled up in the idea of one silver coin, trust in God which can be cashed in for all the real things this world has to offer.
Allah is a God of what is real, about Him there is nothing false, implied, hinted at or dumbfounding. Every verse in the Quran is a piece of a this piece of silver, designed to hone the thinking and turn it away from what is silly or superstitious and redirect it towards the substantive and tangible.
The basis for all that is of substance, as we know, this planet and its resources are not manmade. We cannot make a world such as this, we but live upon it and it is in deep trouble because we cannot sift what is unreal from what is real. In order to make proper use of the Quran, one must accept we are made to know the difference and accept the advantages of this as a premise of mature intelligent adulthood.
The verses above say, give a man a coin and he will steal it. Give Allah a coin and He will return it with interest. The time is now for men to start paying their intelligence coins back. There is no aspect of Islam that is of greater importance to Masjid than this. Do not be unintelligent, do not succumb to delusion, ignorance, or religion. Fight against these things, not for them.

The Life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH):     The Battle of Badr and Afterwards
The Battle of Badr: Part 6
Harith b. Suraka is Martyred
Harith b. Suraka, a young man from the tribe of Khazraj, was at the back of the army, standing near the water pool and watching the fight. An arrow shot by the enemy passed through the mujahids in the front ranks and hit him at the back; he was martyred. He was the first Muslim martyred among Ansar.
It was a lesson to drawn for everybody that the arrow passed through the mujahids in the front ranks and hit Harith, who was at the back, martyring him.
The Prophet Encourages the Mujahids to Fight
The battle was going on intensely. The Messenger of Allah constantly called the mujahids to be steadfast: “I swear by Allah, in whose hand of power is Muhammad’s existence, that Allah will definitely put those who fight by expecting the consent of Allah and by showing patience and steadfastness and who are killed while proceeding without turning back into Paradise!”
Umayr is Martyred
Umayr b. Humam from Ansar heard this glad tiding of the Messenger of Allah while eating dates and said, “It is very nice! In order to go to Paradise, it is necessary to be killed by those people”. He threw the dates away and drew his sword; he uttered some effective couplets regarding the virtue of martyrdom and the importance of the hereafter; then, he attacked the enemy. That was all. Umayr did not return. He killed many polytheists and then he was martyred.
A Miracle
While the battle was going on, the Messenger of Allah picked a handful of fine sand from the ground, threw it toward the army of the polytheists and prayed as follows: “Let their faces be black! O Allah! Put fear in their hearts; make their feet tremble!”
Each one of them heard the sentence, “Let their faces be black!” and the sand he threw went to the eyes of each polytheist. They stopped attacking and started to be busy with their eyes.
The Quran declares that miracle as follows:
“It is not ye who slew them; it was Allah: when thou threwest (a handful of dust) it was not thy act, but Allah’s!”
Yes, the small stones that Messenger of Allah had in his hands mentioned the names of Allah and glorified Allah; similarly, the fine sand and small grits that he threw at the enemy were like hand grenades and terrified the enemy!
The Supplication of the Prophet and the Help of Angels
On the one hand, the Prophet was walking among mujahids, making speeches to increase their love and enthusiasm of jihad; on the other hand, he was turning toward the qiblah and praying his Lord: “O Allah! Send me the help You have promised me!”
During his supplication, he was so concentrated that he did not notice when his garment on his shoulder fell down. Hazrat Abu Bakr, who never left him alone, picked the garment and put it back on his shoulder saying, “O Messenger of Allah! That supplication is enough. Doubtlessly, He will keep His promise He has made you.”
After a while the Messenger of Allah said, “Glad tidings, O Abu Bakr! Allah’s help has arrived. That is Jibril. He is equipped with weapons on his horse, holding the reigns of his horse on the sand hills, waiting for orders!”
The Quran narrates the incident as follows:
“Allah had helped you at Badr, when ye were a contemptible little force; then fear Allah; thus may ye show your gratitude.
Remember thou saidst to the Faithful: Is it not enough for you that Allah should help you with three thousand angels (specially) sent down?.”
It is narrated that a very strong wind that had never seen before occurred. It was impossible to see. Then, the wind died away. Then, another wind occurred; and it died away, too.
It was the manifestation of Jibril coming with three thousand angels under his command and standing near the Prophet, on his right and left.
The angels had white turbans around their heads and the tips of the turbans were hanging down at the back. Only the turban of Jibril (pbuh) was yellow. All of the angels were riding multicolored horses.
Mujahids Fight Heroically
The watchword of the mujahids was, “Ya Mansur! Amit”; they fought against the enemy heroically and split the ranks of the enemy with their attacks and blows.
Especially Hazrat Hamza and Hz. Ali (may Allah be pleased with them) attacked the polytheists heroically and bravely; they always got through the any enemy rank they attacked. Hazrat Hamza knocked down anyone in front of him with a sword in both of his hands. Those two heroic Companions killed many notables of the polytheists with their swords.
Abu Jahl is Killed
It would be a source of pride to kill Abu Jahl, the greatest enemy of the Muslims; therefore, every mujahid wanted to find and kill him. Hazrat Hamza killed Abu Qays Ibn Walid, who was the bother-in-law of Khalid b. Walid from Banu Mahzum and who was one of the leaders of the polytheists, thinking that he was Abu Jahl; similarly, Hazrat Ali killed Abdullah Ibn Mundhir from Banu Mahzum, thinking that he was Abu Jahl.
Abu Jahl, who was seventy years old, was a ferocious and steadfast enemy of Islam; he had a terrible face. He said, “My mother bore me for today!” showing his courage and leading his soldiers to the fight.
When Banu Mahzum saw that many polytheists had been killed, they surrounded Abu Jahl like a herd of camels. They were going to protect him at any cost.
The battle was going on intensely.
When Hazrat Abdurrahman b. Awf looked around in his rank, he saw two Ansar youths.
One of them approached him and asked, “Do you know Abu Jahl?”
Abdurrahman b. Awf said, “Yes, I know him. What are you going to do to him?” The young man answered,
“I promised Allah. When I see Abu Jahl, I am going to walk toward him; I am going to kill him or I am going to be a martyr!”
Abdurrahman b. Awf admired this young man and appreciated his determination and courage. Meanwhile, the other youth approached and said the same things.
Abdurrahman b. Awf first had said to himself, “I ended up between two children in the rank!” Then, he was amazed by their brave talks.
Those two young men were Muadh and Muawwidh, two of the seven children of Afra that took part in the battle.
Meanwhile, Abdurrahman b. Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) saw Abu Jahl, who was wandering among the polytheists and who was guarded by the members of Banu Mahzum. He showed him to the two young men, saying, “There he is! Abu Jahl!”
The two brave young men drew their swords and walked toward that direction.
Many mujahids were looking for Abu Jahl to kill him just like those two young men. Before the two young men reached Abu Jahl, Muadh b. Amr b. Jamuh from Ansar, who was following Abu Jahl, hit Abu Jahl on the leg with his sword. Ikrima, the son of Abu Jahl wounded his hand and arm with his sword in return. This heroic Companion said,
“My hand was hanging down with its skin. I forgot abut my hand due to the severity of the battle. I held my wounded hand at the back and continued fighting. When my hand started to give me a lot of trouble, I stepped on it with my foot and cut off my hanging hand!”
After Muadh b. Amr b. Jamuh was wounded, the two young brothers approached Abu Jahl. They hit him with their swords and knocked him down. They thought he was dead and left him.

Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim
Sufi Narratives and
Lesson: 14
The Morals and Service of a Saint
Hazrat Ahmed ar-Rifai –may Allah sanctify his secret- used to greet every person he came across. On hearing about someone ill in a village or a town, near or far, he would use to the first opportunity to visit them. When he came across a blind person on the street, he would hold his hand and take him to his intended destination. Should he come across an elderly person, he would help him carry his load and narrate, to those around, the following saying of the Blessed Prophet (Peace & Blessing Upon Him)
:“Whoever respects and helps an elderly person will be granted but Allah the Almighty with someone to respect and help him in his elderly years.” (Tirmidhi, Birr, 75)
Upon returning from a long distance journey, he would head straight to the forest, chop some wood and carry it back to the town on his donkey. He would then personally distribute it among the widows and the poor.He would run to the help of the mentally ill and the crippled, wash their clothes and sit with them, listening to their problems.
He would then serve them food with his very own hands and ask for their prayers. He would say to his disciples:“
Visiting these vulnerable people is not just commendable (mustahab) it is obligatory (wajib).
”While playing on the street one day, a few kids had happened to walk past him. Scared of his awe-inspiring appearance, the kids ran off. But Ahmed ar-Rifai –may Allah sanctify his secret- quickly ran after them and hugging them compassionately, one by one, he even apologized, saying:
“As you can see, dear kids, I am a vulnerable soul just like you. Forgive me…I never meant to scare you!”
Moral of the Story:
The way of spiritual wisdom, proceeding on which one acquires the pleasure of the Real and the key to His reunion, is like blank sheet of white paper. The ink used for writing on this paper is also white and is read only by Allah, glory unto Him. For that reason, saints embark on a lifelong struggle not to drop a black stain on that piece of paper; so much so that they avoid harming even an ant and offer the moral conduct and service to the Lord as purely as they can, in order to attain to His pleasure. For, the Almighty declares:
اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يُحِبُّ التَّوَّابِينَ وَيُحِبُّ الْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ“
For Allah loves those who turn to Him constantly and He loves those who keep themselves pure and clean” (al-Baqarah, 222)

Dear fellow muslim,
Don't put your heart through unnecessary strain. Stay away from that which displeases our Creator. Isn't it so beautiful ? Your heart won't be satisfied until you meet Him, so stop trying to fill a void which cannot be filled by any worldly desire. Surely your patience will be rewarded. Keep it under lock and key, give the key to Allah and rest assured knowing that your heart is safe. Give it to the world and you will be left with nothing but disappointment and anguish.
…إِنَّ اللَّـهَ يُحِبُّ التَّوَّابِينَ وَيُحِبُّ الْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ ﴿222﴾
… for Allah loves those who turn to Him constantly and He loves those who keep themselves pure and clean.
بَلَىٰ مَنْ أَوْفَىٰ بِعَهْدِهِ وَاتَّقَىٰ فَإِنَّ اللَّـهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُتَّقِينَ ﴿76﴾
Yes, whoever fulfills his commitments and is wary of Allah—Allah indeed loves the Godwary.
Say, ‘If you love Allah, then follow me; Allah will love you and forgive you your sins, and Allah is all-forgiving, all-merciful.’

WHAT TO TAKE FROM THE STORY OF KARBALA?
1) When one is frowning in grief of any kind there is this one person to think of. He who would have suffocated by grief of losing back to back all those he loved, all those he had raised and everything he had. Yet, he remained persistent with patience and dignity.
2) Anticipating the long term and short term consequence of every action. IMAM Hussain (as) saw that there were people who were blood thirsty and yet he spoke with kindness. He had a very calculated response towards every moment he spent on the land of Karbala. Even when he arrived in the battlefield, and there should be a separate post just about the grandeur of his existence at that point, he struck in defense and he struck while keeping in mind the generations ahead.
3) Allah is better to mitigate the torment of solitude rather than relying upon the worldly buttress that are shallow and mean. He told his companions that they should save their lives and that the opposition wanted his blood and the end of the day that was to dawn on them was only death and blood bath. He was content and he was very attentive. His companions' were dear to him and he was realistic enough to see what lied ahead. This leads to the point below.
4) His companions were devoted and loyal and they did not move a centimeter and they said they would rather face the death while accompanying him rather than saving their life and living without him. Which highlights the importance of choice. You have the choice to consciously choose between two ways always, and not necessarily the worldly triumph depicts actual worthiness. Sometimes logic has to be defied and love should be trusted to ascend to higher realm, just like the love of Imam Hussain (as) was above everything for his companions. This in turn connects to the point below.
5) The present life is about constantly realizing the enormity of Universe. Then also realizing about different universes connected within this universe and many parallel universes to this one universe. Therefore, logic explains a limited aspect and sometimes faith emancipates the soul. Just like the companions of Imam Hussain (as) saw death, which was something fearful as per worldly perception, a better state of being than existing after the 10th muharram.
I don't know if this explains the maltifaceted nature of the story of Karbala or not but I hope it delivers something. There is so much more but due to length of this post I suffice to only above mentioned 05 points.

reymir OS {reyyan gets shot}
Preview: Reyyan gets a text from an unknown number that Miran-Aslan are fighting alongside the cliff so she goes there because she’s afraid for Miran.
—-
“Miran!”
One shot was fired, however, it didn’t come from Miran’s pointed gun. Both Miran and Aslan stilled.
They turned to look at Reyyan standing a few feet away from them, staring at them with hollow eyes and a bloodied hand covering her belly.
Miran couldn’t believe his eyes but he ran to her and caught her in his arms before her knees buckled completely, sliding down with her in his arms.
“Reyyan, Reyyan! Hayir! Reyyan!”
He kept repeating, touching her everywhere with his right hand eventually settling it down on her belly, over her hand.
“Miran..”
He looked up at her eyes.
“I’m in love with you.”
“I know, just hold on. We’re leaving, hold on, lütfen! We’re going to the hospital. I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry for everything. Just hold on!”
He puts some more pressure on her wound - she jerks and winces - before he picks her up and starts carrying her to his car.
“I wish we’ll meet in another life and everything will be beautiful. Life won’t be so hard for us,” she was speaking so low, Miran could barely hear her.
“We have this life too! Birakma beni. Just hold on, please please Reyyan! Seni seviyorum. Everything will be okay!”
In response, Reyyan’s eyes drifted close but there was a small smile on her face. A tear slid down her cheek from the corner of her right eye.
“Quick, open the door!” He yelled at shocked Aslan standing a few feet away, who follows through. “Take this and drive like a mad man, I don’t care!”
He throws the keys to Aslan who quickly takes up the driving seat while Miran sits in the back with Reyyan in his lap, trying to wake her up by calling her name over and over while putting pressure on her wound with a cloth he had found in his car.
“Birakma beni..”
“Reyyan..”
Miran hadn’t stopped saying those words, his cheeks stained with tears while his arms held the love of his life on the brink of death.
***
Miran sat on the floor, his head in his hands, thinking over every little moment between them right from the very beginning. Over and over again, her stunning smile and her words just kept going through his head. His legs had given up long ago. He didn’t care about anything but Reyyan.
Reyyan, the love of his life. His only person. Reyyan, who kept coming back to him despite everything he made her go through.
Reyyan, his only reason to live.
All he wanted was her to be alive and well; to be happy. He didn’t give a rat’s ass about anything else.
They should’ve left as they had planned. He should’ve been selfish and thought for themselves only. He shouldn’t have let her go far from him. He should’ve listened to her, been there for her.
All of her words came back to him; all the times she had warned him, tried to hold him back from his anger and his rash decisions. All the times she had tried to make him see sense and to protect them first and foremost. He barely got her in his life and he was already losing her.
He looked at his bloodied hands; he was the one responsible for not taking her away when he had the chance.
A nurse rushed out of the operation theatre then, “We need blood for the patient, unfortunately, the hospital has no more reserves for her blood type. Is there anyone with the same blood group?”
Miran was about to volunteer but he knew he wasn’t a match. He looked at Hazar but he shrugged helplessly and shook his head.
“Zehra isn’t a match for Reyyan either, Reyyan shares the same blood group as her real dad.”
“Tamam I’ll go get it! Don’t let anything happen to her, I’m gonna strange everything!”
Miran yelled and was about to head out to search and get things arranged when Mahfuz came rushing in.
“I’m a match for her, let’s go.”
Nobody said anything as the nurse led Mahfuz away.
“Allahim, what do I do? I have a daughter fighting between life and death, an unconscious pregnant wife and a sick daughter at home. Please help me, please help!”
Please let her live, please let Reyyan come back to me, safe and sound. Please let me see her smile again, let me hear her heartbeat again.
Firat took hold of Miran and dragged him to sit on one of the hospital chairs, patting his back and being a human rock for him. The only person who has always stood by him under all circumstances.
****
“She’s out of danger but we’re going to keep her under observation for 24 hours. Only one person can stay with her, granted they don’t cause the patient any stress. We like to believe a loved one being near help the patient get better,” the doctor said as soon as he came out.
There was no question of who was gonna stay. Miran was already heading in when Hazar called out to him.
“Miran.. please take care of my daughter.”
Miran nodded at him and went in with the doctor.
“Doctor bey, can I ask you for a favour?”
The doctor looked at him quizzically.
Miran swallowed, “This is going to sound unethical but for the sake of both my wife and I, can you please say she lost the baby?”
Even saying that - the possibility of it ever being real - shattered his heart but he had to do it. To protect Reyyan.
May Allah never have them go through the pain of losing a child.
“But she’s not pregnant.”
Miran nodded, “I know that and she knows that but it was a lie we had to say for some reasons. So, I would be insanely grateful to you if yo keep it as it is and just tell them what I said. For Reyyan’s sake, please do that and keep a cover over this lie.”
Miran didn’t want to repeat the unfortunate, heartbreaking thing again. It hurt him. He just wanted to get over this nightmare and have Reyyan back to him.
The doctor nodded, “It’s not ethical but I will do it for the sake of my patient’s health.”
Miran sighed, “It’s only for her. Thank you.”
The first look at Reyyan in the hospital bed with wires sticking to her body and her looking pale almost broke him. He leaned against the wall and clutched his heart; he couldn’t breathe knowing it was his fault she was there, it was his fault she got shot and almost died. Knowing that he almost lost her forever. He would die. There was no question about it. He would literally die without Reyyan.
Miran shook his head slightly, she was okay, she was alive and well. She’ll be better in no time.
He took small steps towards the bed, gingerly sitting down on the chair and just gazed at her face. Exhaustion was etched across her serene face. Tears kept streaking down his face as he looked at her face, then the place of her heart with the wires attached, then trailing down to her frail hand resting on her belly.
Reyyan’s heart had held through so many things, so many betrayals, lies and broken promises. No wonder a bullet was nothing in comparison for the amount of heartbreaks she had already been through.
He didn’t know if he could touch her. He didn’t want to get anything wrong or messed up. He almost lost her, he couldn’t take any chances.
“You can hold her hand, she’s doing fine. It might give her some strength as well,” the nurse whispered to him with a smile and a nod before leaving the room.
Miran was so gentle, so cautious with his first touch. It was barely a brush. And then a stroke, eventually turning into a soft caress over her fingers. He took her hand in both of his hands, cradling it with utmost care, before bending down and pressing a feather-light kiss on her fingers, one for each.
“Thank you for not leaving me. And I’m so sorry for everything. From now on, I don’t care about anything else except you. Everything will be okay. Just hold tight. Seni çok seviyorum, Reyyan. Always. Don’t leave me without your light, meleğim.”
***
Miran woke up to Reyyan’s fingers moving around his cheek. It was just a slight stir, barely there but his eyes fluttered open the moment it happened.
“Reyyan!”
She hadn’t opened her eyes and was visibly struggling a little bit. Miran caressed her hair and face, his thumb constantly moving across her cheek.
“Reyyan, bitanem. It’s okay, I’m here. Rest some more. Everything will be fine.”
There was a slight shake of her head, barely there, before she opened her eyes slowly.
The first thing she saw was Miran hovering over her with tear-stained cheeks. She tried to lift up her hand to touch his face but everything felt so heavy and exhausting. She couldn’t do much. But Miran noticed her fingers trying to reach up so he intertwined their fingers softly and pressed a little kiss to her forehead, lulling her back to sleep.
The next time she woke up, Hazar and Zehra were in the room while Miran was nowhere to be found. Zehra was laying on the couch while Hazar was sitting on her bedside.
“Kizim! We’re so thankful that nothing happened to you. We’re so, so grateful that you came back to us.”
Hazar tried to come forward to kiss her forehead but Reyyan held her hand up lowly. He saw it and stopped.
Hazar nodded, “You’re right. I don’t deserve you. I don’t deserve to hug or kiss you and I definitely don’t deserve your love. But I’m sorry, Reyyan. I’m so, so sorry for everything you’ve been through because I wasn’t a good enough father.”
Zehra woke up just then and came towards Reyyan.
“Reyyan, how are you feeling? Are you okay?”
Reyyan nodded, “I am. Please don’t worry and go home. It’s not good for you to be here.”
Just then Miran came in.
“Is Reyyan awake?” He rushed in and headed straight for her, cradling her face in his hands. “Are you doing okay? Are you hurting?”
She gave him her most genuine smile, “It does hurt. A lot.”
Miran sighed, “I’m sorry.”
She turns to Hazar, “I’m not going to stay away from Miran anymore. I’ve done everything that all of you have wanted but no more. And I also don’t want to see or meet anyone anymore except Gül. That’s all.”
Miran stands at the side, “Reyyan..”
She turned to him, “And if you don’t want to be with me then tell me and I’ll leave..”
Miran cut her off, “Of course I want you, Reyyan, what sort of question is that?”
She moved a bit on the bed and winces harshly, her eyes prickling with tears.
“Tamam stop talking. Go to sleep, we’ll figure out everything later. It will be however you want it, no matter what anyone says or do.”
Reyyan sniffed, “I just don’t want to stay here anymore, amidst all this revenge and hate, especially not when our little family is considered. I’m tired of paying for something I’m not responsible for. I want it to stop hurting.”
Hazar looked at Miran sharply, which didn’t escape Reyyan. Moreover, he held his head in his hands.
There was a moment of silence.
Miran swallowed, “Reyyan.. we lost the baby.”
Reyyan knew there was no baby, she knew it. And yet his words cut her deep inside. It was as if everything she had been through wasn’t enough, now she had to mourn the death of her fake baby as well. Even in her imagination, she wasn’t left alone.
She wanted to wail and cry her heart out, she did but all she could do was look at the ceiling and let tears slip out of her eyes while clutching the bedsheet. She gritted her teeth and tried not to sob because god knows her body was hurting so much. But now, her soul was in aguish and she didn’t know how to deal anymore. She didn’t want to be quiet.
Both Hazar and Zehra had quietly slipped out the door somewhere in between.
A sob finally broke out of her leading to a loud gasp and a wince from the pain of her wound.
“Reyyan, I know you’re tired, I know everything is wrong but lütfen I’m begging you, please calm down. Please think for yourself right now. We’ll have our family, I promise you. Please, please stay with me. Everything will be alright.”
Miran took her hands folded into fists and one by one loosened them up, intertwining his fingers with hers instead. Later he took down the guarding rail on one side and sat on the bed, half laying down. He turned to his side and kissed her tears away, replacing them with little kisses all over. Repeating new promises over and over agin with an assurance that they won’t be broken.
“One day we’ll be so happy we wouldn’t even remember these days.”
“We’ll have babies and we’ll see them grow into little beautiful beings and then adults.”
“Our lives would be full of light, love and happiness. Everything will be okay.”
“It’s enough that you don’t leave me without your breath.”
Over and over again, he kept talking to her while gently caressing and kissing her, hoping it would soothe her heart somehow, and give her some peace despite knowing peace was a foreign emotion to a girl like Reyyan, whose heart had been bruised and broken over and over again. He just hoped she’d carry through it one more time and would hold on for a little more. But he wasn’t sure.
Soon after, Reyyan fell asleep with dried tear streaks on her face and her soft, previously shaking hands clutching Miran’s big ones.

We all know the Qur'anic injunction about lowering the gaze, but it is imperative that we take it to heart now and every day, especially as we prepare for the month of Ramadan.
Shaitan may be locked up in less than a week, but you better believe he's been working over time this entire quarantine to build those hidden inroads to your heart so that his whispers echo straight into the walls of your chest!
To do this effectively, he will weaken you by exploiting your senses to a virtual buffet of images, videos, and live streams.
Think about it, you're in lockdown physically so what is the next best way for him to break you down? To flood your faculties and processing systems.
Which ones?
1. Your conscience mind. The one that knows between right and wrong. When you see an image you shouldn't look at or a video that's inappropriate, but you keep watching, it's likely because this has been compromised. He's effectively desensitized you. You may not even be aware of the fact that what you're watching is unequivocally haram because he's "normalized" things so much that you can't even differentiate between what is halal and what isn't.
To help reset this system, remember the simple facts: looking at ANY private area (awrah) of a man or a woman is haram. As is behavior depicted that is of a mature, sexual, or intimate nature. Even suggestive content that sparks an idea, or a thought that can lead to lustful thoughts is blameworthy. And just because you're not watching or consuming that material with intent does NOT remove obligation from you to avert your gaze and shut it down.
2. Your stream of consciousness. This is the flow of your thoughts, reactions to events, memories, ideas, etc.
Shaitan's objective is to preoccupy you with everything and anything other than God. So pay attention to where your mind drifts, is it in the past, present, or future? Is it worthwhile or a waste of time? Is it negative thoughts about others? Is it negative thoughts about yourself? Do you feel hopeless, despair, out of control, resentful, etc?
Shaitan knows well that if he bombards our mind with his negativity and toxicity, and then forces us to dwell on matters that are of little to no significance or benefit, then we will sabotage our own progress and growth.
To fight his attacks, FORCE yourself into positive thinking. PUSH AWAY negative thoughts by drowning them out with gratitude, inspiring messages from the Qur'an and hadith, meaningful stories with positive messages and lessons, and beautiful melodious sounds of the Qur'an, dhikr, anshaad, etc.
If you allow negativity to take residence, then there will be little room for positivity. Rather, view negative thoughts like you would rodents who find ways to enter the home by looking for vulnerable areas. Identify those vulnerable areas and PATCH THEM UP! An example would be, your past. IT IS DONE. IT IS OVER. If you dwell on that which you cannot change, thinking that fantasizing about "what could have been" will bring you some relief, know with certainty it will never bring you anything but further misery. LET IT GO. Accept the good and the bad of it, by focusing on the fact that you are here, God is with you, and He does not judge you for any of it so long as you turn to Him and seek Him. So look ahead and up, instead of behind you and down.
If you don't control your stream of consciousness, then it will likely lead you to view the haram, speak of the haram, listen to the haram, and eventually act on the haram. This is precisely what shaitan wants, so don't let him succeed by inviting more positivity to your mind's eye and your physical eyes!
3. Your time management. This is what you choose to do with the time you have. If you have habituated yourself to indulging your lower self constantly by way of filling your appetitive soul (nafs) and spending your day consuming not only food and drink, but hours and hours of useless entertainment and leisurely sport, then he has succeeded in sabotaging you from growing and using the talents and skills that God has blessed you with to not only benefit others, but benefit your own soul. Your eyes, your mouth, your ears, your limbs, were fashioned by The Fashioner, the Creator, not for you to squander them on junk, but to CREATE beauty, CREATE harmony, CREATE love, CREATE unity, and to SPREAD PEACE AND LIGHT.
How are you spreading peace and light when you are stuffing your lower self into darkness?
May Allah ﷻ help us all to LOWER our gaze NOW, to practice restraint and to stop making excuses for what we know is HARAM. May He give us strength to become more aware and honest with ourselves about our vices and bad habits, and to seek help from HIM first and foremost so that we do not squander this beautiful month and the incredible opportunity we've been given to become more polished, more refined, and BETTER human beings and servants to our Creator. Amin.

Therefore, before a Muslim offers aprayer, he must remove two things:
Things that are considered impure include the following
1 Human urine and faeces
2 Blood (except if it constitutes an insignificant amount)
3 Urine and dung of animals that are considered unlawful for human consumption (See page 189)
4 Dogs and pigs
5 Dead animals (except for those ones that are considered fit and lawful for human consumption and have been slaughtered according to Islamic rules. Human corpses, fish and insects are considered pure.

Why does Allah (SWT) love His slaves?
When we open the Quran, the first verse that we see is, Bismillahirrahmanirrahim (In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful). Our Lord introduces Himself as the Beneficent (ar-Rahman) and the Merciful (ar-Rahim). Both holy names express that Allah has infinite mercy. Doubtlessly, Allah, who has infinite mercy, loves every person that He creates.
Is it possible that He should not love the creature that he takes out of the darkness of the realm of non-existence to the luminous hills of the realm of existence?
When the bounties that are given to man are taken into consideration, man will understand that Allah loves him. Let us explain some of the manifestations of the love of Allah toward His slaves:
1. Creating man out of nothing: Man owned a soul in a very nice form thanks to the mercy of Allah although he was not existent. Allah did not leave man in non-existence; He gave him the bounty of existence. It is the greatest bounty. Allah did not leave him lifeless and gave him the bounty of life. He did not leave man without a spirit and gave him the bounty of spirit. He did not leave man without consciousness and mind and gave him the bounties of the mind and consciousness. He gave man the bounty of humanity. He also gave man the bounties of guidance and belief. They are all the bounties that were given to man. The issue is explained as follows in the Quran:
"Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together"(al-Infitar, 82/7-8)
"We have indeed created man in the best of moulds." (at-Tin, 95/4)
2. Giving man numerous bounties: Bounty means giving man all kinds of good things and keeping all kinds of harms away from him. It is the manifestations of the names ar-Rahman and ar-Rahim.
Beneficence and mercy mean to will the good and to grant endless favors and bounties.
The following definition of mercy is very nice:
“Mercy is the feeling of eliminating the pains, disasters, and troubles and replacing them with goodness, joy and happiness.”
The name ar-Rahman means ‘the one that gives the sustenance of every living thing, whether man or animal, whether believer or unbeliever, and that takes care of and protects them’.
The name ar-Rahim means ‘the one that makes His slaves that use their will correctly reach the happiness of belief, worshipping and guidance and that prepares eternal gardens (Paradise) for them’.
The name ar-Rahman looks at the first creation. As a matter of fact, God Almighty gives so many grants and bounties to the beings that He created without their willing.
The name ar-Rahim looks at the second creation and bears the glad tiding that the slaves that use their will in the good and correct way will be given endless blessings, bounties and grants in the second creation.
“It is He Who hath created for you all things that are on earth" (al-Baqara, 2/29).
3. Sending prophets that warn people: Sending prophets is an indication of the mercy of Allah. The right and the wrong were presented to each ummah through a messenger and they were informed about the orders and prohibitions of Allah. Prophets are also guides for worldly affairs. The development of the civilizations took place thanks to the guidance of the prophets.
“Allah did confer a great favor on the Believers when He sent among them an Messenger from among themselves, rehearsing unto them the Signs of Allah, sanctifying them, and instructing them in Scripture and Wisdom, while, before that, they had been in manifest error." (Aal-i-Imran, 3/164)
4. The religion of Islam being a religion of ease: Allah, who created man out of nothing, definitely knows what he needs, what kinds of worshipping he can perform and how he can be healthy, peaceful and happy. Therefore, the religion of Islam provides man with an easy, nice and comfortable life as a grant from Allah.
"... He has chosen you and has imposed no difficulties on you in religion; it is the cult of your father Abraham. It is He Who has named you Muslims, both before and in this (Revelation); that the Messenger may be a witness for you, and ye be witnesses for mankind! So establish regular Prayer give regular Charity, and hold fast to Allah! He is your Protector― the― Best to protect and the Best to help!!" (al-Hajj 22/78)
5. Giving some time for repentance in the life of the world: Allah does not punish His slaves who disobey him at once. He gives them some time so that they will understand their mistakes and repent.
“Mocked were (many) messengers before thee: but I granted respite to the Unbelievers, and finally I punished them; then how (terrible) was My requital!." (ar-Rad 13/32)
6. Rewarding His slaves who believed in Him with Paradise: Paradise is a bounty and grant of Allah.
“Except those who repent and believe, and work Righteousness: for these will enter the Garden and will not be wronged in the least. Gardens of Eternity, those which (Allah) Most Gracious has promised to His servants in the Unseen: for His promise must (necessarily) come to pass. They will not there hear any vain discourse, but only salutations of peace: and they will have therein their sustenance, morning and evening. Such is the Garden which We give as an inheritance to those of Our Servants who guard against evil.." (Maryam, 19/60-63).
7- Answering prayers: Dua (prayer, supplication) is another superior manifestation of the names ar-Rahman and ar-Rahim of our Lord. A believing man asks power and patience from Allah without losing hope even if he is under very difficult conditions. He begs only from Allah with hope knowing that He always creates the best thing. He knows that what he asks from Allah will end up in a good way. This opportunity, which Allah gives to His slaves, is doubtlessly a manifestation of His infinite mercy. Allah owns all the power. Allah, who is ar-Rahman and ar-Rahim, informs people through the following verse that He will make it easy for the people that are in need if they turn toward Him and ask from Him:
“And those who dispense their charity with their hearts full of fear, because they will return to their Lord " (al-Muminun, 23/60).
“When My servants ask thee concerning Me, I am indeed close (to them); I listen to the prayer of every suppliant when he calleth on Me." (al-Baqara, 2/186)
8. Being Happy when His slaves repent: Our Lord expresses clearly that He will accept the repentance of those who repent appropriately, that he will reward them, that they will feel safe regarding their future and that they will obtain their hope again if they do so.
“For such the reward is forgiveness from their Lord and gardens with rivers flowing underneath an eternal dwelling; how excellent a recompense for those who work (and strive) " (Aal-i-Imran, 3/136).
“Allah loves those who turn to Him constantly and He loves those who keep themselves pure and clean” (Bakara, 2/222)
9. Making man superior to all other creatures: Some of the verses regarding the superiority of man are as follows:
“Behold thy Lord said to the angels: "I will create a vicegerent on earth." They said "Wilt thou place therein one who will make mischief therein and shed blood? Whilst we do celebrate Thy praises and glorify Thy holy (name)?" He said: "I know what ye know not." (al-Baqara, 2/30)
" We have honoured the sons of Adam; provided them with transport on land and sea; given them for sustenance things good and pure; and conferred on them special favours, above a great part of Our Creation."(al-Isra, 17/70)
“We have indeed created man in the best of moulds, Then do We abase him (to be) the lowest of the low― Except such as believe and do righteous deeds: for they shall have a reward unfailing.."(at-Tin, 95/4-6)
Allah created man in the best form, made him superior to all beings and made him the vicegerent in the universe. Man must keep this superior quality through belief and worshipping. Otherwise he will fall to the lowest of the low and lose the vicegerency, and, as it is expressed in the Quran, he may become more misguided than animals. While belief takes man to a rank superior to angels, unbelief throws man into the lowest of the low down into the depths of Hell.
As a matter of fact, Allah says “the best of moulds“ for man. That the phrase “the best of moulds“ is used for man means that there is nothing more beautiful than him among the creatures.

Q. I constantly feel low on faith, how can I regain my relationship with God?
-thesmilingakh
A. I pray you find all the happiness and peace the world brings. Our relationship with God is something that constantly fluctuates. Even the most ‘pious’ of us have days where we feel distant, when keeping faith or praying becomes difficult, it’s all part of the test. Remember that when you walk to Allah, He runs to you. When someone loves you they always want you close to them, the same is with God. He doesn’t need our prayers, our charity, our good deeds, but He loves us enough to want us to carry out those deeds, to turn to Him in times of difficulty and need.
-thesmilingakh
You’ve got to take small steps. Whether that is starting to pray, doing one good deed a day, writing down one blessing a day, smiling more, learning about or faith or anything that starts of small and can grow. It’s all about the first step. Having low faith is part of the journey. You’ve got to understand your relationship with God. We breathe and live everyday because of him, we eat and drink because of him, we socialise and love because of him, he is at the centre of everything we do. And when we relate God to every part of our lives, that faith strengthens. When we relate God to our secular studies, to our exercise, to our friends and family - and that all comes from intention. Your intentions becomes doing these menial things for the sake of God, and in doing so becomes a form of worship.
- thesmilingakh
Remember that you can never stray too far from God. That you can never be ‘too sinful’ or have done so much, there’s always hope with God, there’s always time to come back so long as you are alive. God is the most merciful, the most forgiving. It doesn’t matter about your past, about everything you’ve done, about your struggles you face today, as long as your intentions are pure and your heart is too, Allah will forgive you. We are humans, we are error ridden, we make mistakes, we fall, we do wrong, it’s part of growing and learning. We all feel low in our faith some days, likewise, it’s part of growth, about understanding yourself and understanding faith. All you have to do is talk to God. Tell Him your worries, why you feel distant, ask of Him. He tells us, ‘Call upon me and I will answer you’.
-thesmilingakh
And finally, surround yourself with good company. Find friends who remind you of God, who speak of His virtues, who practise his faith through their smiles, their manners, their etiquette, their way of living. To be a Godly person, you have to become a good person. Faith is a journey, not a destination. None of us were born as sinful people, we were not born distant from God or singled out. So embrace the highs and seek refuge in the lows. Remember Him in times of ease and He will remember you in moments of adversity. It’s all about baby steps, about avoiding comparison and focusing on your own spiritual journey. Most of all, become a good person, place love in your etiquette and speech, kindness in your interactions and hope in your heart and I’m sure you’ll find your faith strengthening with every passing day.

The Life of The Prophet Muhammad: The Battle of Badr and Afterwards
“It is not ye who slew them; it was Allah: when thou threwest (a handful of dust) it was not thy act, but Allah's!”
