I am so glad the new kdramas are bringing back the specific brand of loser men. You know which brand I'm talking about. The Ahn "min min" Minhyuk brand of loser men and I'm loving it. The "I worship this goddess and I'm so in love with her and I can't believe I get to love her. Oh my gods I love her so much" brand of loser men. And we're being fed so well with lovely runner, love next door, no gain no love, my demon, Cinderella at 2am, Hierarchy, Midnight Romance in Hagwon, doctor slump, Queen of tears, welcome to samdal-ri and even good partner (yes it's one sided but the dedication and yuri's couple too).
We need more fictional loser men who worship women to satiate our eldest independent daughter desires.
Sang Woo and Jae Young are color-coded boys in love.
So what are their colors?
If you thought red and blue, you'd be WRONG!
The opening credits and scenes declare what they are:
Their colors are blue and green.
Sang Woo is a blue boy. He is confident, stable, and intelligent.
Jae Young is a green guy. He is lively, hopeful, and easygoing.
He even draws Sang Woo in his color on the wanted posters.
The only reason Jae Young wears red is to bother Sang Woo.
Jae Young borrows most of the red items from his friends.
He begins wearing red when looking for Sang Woo before he is aware Sang Woo hates the color *the "SINNER" jacket*
When they first meet, they both wear black, but Jae Young is backed up by his fake red. *the "DIE BITCH" jacket*
Black tends to be their neutral color.
When they're hiding out in the clothes, they are neutral in black with their colors behind them until the red light comes on, referring to Jae Young's fake red that bothers Sang Woo.
Exchanging colors
While at the bar, Jae Young is upset at Sang Woo for ignoring him, so he plays darts with his fake red and Sang Woo's blue.
He rescues Sang Woo, and they have a tender moment. The next day, Sang Woo tries on red.
And Jae Young picks up blue even though there is a red outfit he could wear.
But Sang Woo doesn't like this (because he has the fake red), and retreats into a dark blue while Jae Young remains neutral black. *see the barrier that divides them demonstrated by the wall behind them: Sang Woo in the darker color (wants to remain in the dark about his feelings) and Jae Young in the lighter color (because he is aware of his feelings)*
However, Sang Woo can't truly let Jae Young go and continues to use Jae Young's fake red when he usually uses black. *remember Jae Young placed a red pen on Sang Woo's shelf after the bar incident*
Sang Woo realizes he made a mistake and goes to see Jae Young at the restaurant. He is still in his blue, but now he is surrounded by Jae Young's real color, green.
Jae Young rejects him, but Sang Woo tries again, this time fully understanding how important Jae Young is, so he wears Jae Young's green to reflect that.
After this, Jae Young incorporates Sang Woo's blue into his wardrobe.
The two become closer, and eventually kiss.
Each is highlighted by the other's color: Sang Woo in Jae Young's green, and Jae Young in Sang Woo's blue.
But, per usual, Sang Woo is confused and goes to Jae Young's studio in Jae Young's fake red while Jae Young is in neutral black.
Jae Young makes Sang Woo realize what he has been feeling (no fake red anymore, but pure green). EDIT: @grapejuicegay spotted that when Sang Woo agrees to the two-week trial period, he does so in a blue and green thumbs up sweater.
Sang Woo decides to be honest in the same shirt he wore the first time he yelled at Jae Young and showed him emotion - the merged green and blue flannel shirt.
After that, Sang Woo is in love and in Jae Young's green
Until Jae Young tells Sang Woo he got accepted into an oversees program, then both boys are struggling with their feelings and retreat back to their colors *Sang Woo's beloved blue bike*
But all ends well, and they merge their colors and love together with a hint of fake red (blue bedding with green pillows)

Mini-review:
I enjoyed this way more than I expected. I was a pretty big fan of the anime that aired a decade ago, so I was worried about this adaptation. But that wasn't necessary: instead of making a simple live-action remake, they tried to approach the story from a different point of view, making sure it could coexist in the original manga's universe (as shown by the very last scene). That being said, this one doesn't delve too much into its themes, opting instead to focus on the horror and action elements. And damn, it does deliver. The action scenes make great use of the parasytes' "tentacles", and they're shot with some stunning camerawork. Yeon Sang Ho's directing fires on all cylinders, more than making up for the pretty mediocre CGI. It also helps that the cast does fantastic job. So yeah, Parasyte: The Grey might not be as deep as it could, but if you're in the mood for a thrilling horror-action spectacle, then you should give it a try.

I finally finished what would be the first arts of this AU. I stayed up late, but I did it and I'm really happy. Check this out! 😭💗
I like to think of Jaeheon as a kind of uncle to Eunyoo. I added the detail of the burns to the design! I thought about it while I was drawing and I liked how it turned out.
I really need a Jaeheon and UiMyeong/Neohuman Sangwook fanfic, please. 😭
Thinking about Jaeheon being excited to see Sangwook again but being UiMyeong... I'll probably write it or make more decent fanart in the future.
Feel free to share your HCs, suggestions and opinions on the profile! I will be happy to read them and respond to think about this AU together. I'd love to know what you think. 💗
I finished my 150th kdrama, Move to Heaven! It's about an young autistic man whose wayward uncle is roped into becoming his new guardian after the tragic death of his father. This has long been on my watchlist due to the Lee Je Hoon and Lee Jae Wook and all the good things I've heard about it. (Also, this was won my recent what-to-watch-next poll that you all voted in. Thanks.)
All the praise was warranted. This was such a well-told story. They really honored the lives of everyday people who are often left unnoticed by the world. The way the mysteries build keep you intrigued and the slow character reveals leave you satisfied. I really loved the whole cast. Lee Je Hoon was excellent as always but Tang Jun Sang was fantastic as Geuru, conveying a ray of feeling through actions versus typical emotional responses. I recently watched him in Racket Boys and I'm really impressed with his range. This drama is a must watch.
So let’s see, five ‘oh’ moments from this year, number one has got to be Jae Young in Semantic Error, he looked up and the light bulb went off so fast, dude looked breathless.
The dual ‘oh’ moment of Koichi and Mitsuru in Eternal Yesterday is definitely number two, they were hooked from the second they saw one another.
Number three is the moment in The Eclipse when Ayan realized that Akk actually liked him back and they weren’t just teasing each other anymore.
Number four is Amagi adorably blurting out his ‘oh’ moment in the very first episode of Takara Kun to Amagi Kun.
Finally, five would have to be Win’s ‘oh’ moment which he then spends the next two episodes of Between Us denying lol.
The moment he felt that all of that was lovely, Jaeyoung realized that he had a crush on Chu Sangwoo. It had happened before he could tell in what way he was so special and different from others. The sight of Sangwoo running towards him, or no, the fact that Sangwoo was running towards him was as magnificent as the night sky itself, made Jaeyoung feel frightened.
When had it come to this? He didn’t know when he had started to fall in love with that tactless, silly, unpretentious, and unyielding person. That’s because it had come on as slowly as clothes that had gotten wet by rain. When he came to his senses, he was already in this state. Thinking that he would get tired of him after sleeping together once was such a huge pipe dream. Jaeyoung had rather become more desperate for Chu Sangwoo after spending the night with him.

He has been free for 2 seconds and his entourage has already said "Get back at it man" 🤣😂😅
I really hope his entourage/fans/industry won't push him to do things he is not into anymore...I would be really really happy if SE s2 would happen BUT only if he is comfortable in acting in it not because he feels preassured in being part of it...
For the moment let's remember when that day they showed up at the set and totally ate it!!!
