THERE WAS A SMILE ON HIS FACE AS HE APPROACHED THE BAR. he hadn’t actually expected her call, to hear that for a moment she had traded coasts much as he had. however, he wasn’t complaining. it was good to see her, and while he hoped there would be no hulk sized problems while she was here, or even devil sized ones so that he might enjoy the company of someone so familiar with the path that he walked that he need not hide behind walls just having a conversation. “jennifer walters. did you miss me that much or is new york so shy of lawyers they reached out to the west coast.” he spoke, “and if so that may hurt my ego so be gentle.” he spoke as he set his cane against the bar as he took up his spot.

Reacting to Contemporary Comics (Without Context) 13/?
Tumblr media
I've been working on this for six weeks. I'm sorry, homework and TWO ISSUES OF IMMORTAL THOR sidetracked me. Getting this post hammered out before the next issue of Immortal Thor comes out tomorrow.
I don't know what the fuck this is. I think it might be an anthology? We're joined by modern Thor genius writer, Jason Aaron, creator of the story with The Best Panel Ever in Comic History; and Walter Simonson, of nude!Loki bait fame, and several authors whom I don't recognize.
Spoilers for The Mighty Thor #700 (2017) and likely others.
This is feeling vaguely IT 5-ish
Thori! My good boy!
Thor wants to murder Yggdrasil. I love Thori.
Am I crying about mundane panels again? Possibly. In my defense I lost my dog recently.
Fuck I forgot he lost his arm!
Thori and the goat (idk which one it is) just following him is so great
"Man?" You recruited just random dudes, Malekith? What's Joe from Accounting gonna do? Did Doom have the afternoon off and owed you a favor?
Jane vs She-Hulk?! Why is She-Hulk so hot in this? Did this come out before Ragnarok? It must have, right? Ragnarok came out October 2017. Wait, no, it says December 2017.
WHOA, doc/nurse/whoever you are! HIPAA! I know Jane is technically a doctor, but she's here as a patient right now. Don't give her Jennifer's entire backstory.
Volstagg was Thor once?!
LOKI!!!
Loki why are you dressed like that? Where is your sense of style, you queer little twink?
THOR YOU DID NOT NAME THESE NEW HUMANS JANE AND STEVE WTF
There's my boi! Took you fucking long enough, dude
Yeah, because he's the God of Stories! Give him a fucking minute to try before you erase everything he's written! God.
Also can we stop drawing him so gross?!
Okay but I might change the name of my Loki playlist from Disaster Spouse to Little Prince of Jackasses lol
Why is Throg's name Simon Walterson... one of the prolific Thor writers is Walter Simonson... this is a multi-level spoof [I'm thinking he probably created the character, actually, but I'm not in the mood to fact check that atm]
Okay, when is Loki's thread of the narrative? Because that was... still in character, but he seems too cold about it for when I thought this was. Ugh, this is what happens when you let anyone other than Al Ewing write Loki.
NO! What the fuck? Talk about a NoTP! Hela and Thanos? Thanos needs to die alone and unloved. And Hela's married to Karnilla. >:(

2022 year in review
thank you for the tag @seek--rest
Number of stories posted to AO3:
22
2. Word count this year:
64,281 (this doesn't include things I didn't publish, and this doesn't include things I wrote in private rps with friends, so I have no idea what the actual word count is, that's just what AO3 told me from what I've posted lol, but I would imagine with all that put together it might be close to 100k)
3. Fandoms I wrote for:
taking the list from AO3 (in alphabetical order):
Captain America/Avengers (movies)
Daredevil (comics/TV)
Goncharov (1973)
Guardians of the Galaxy (comics/movies)
Jessica Jones (TV)
Moon Knight (TV)
Nova (comics)
Peacemaker (2022)
Scarlet Witch (comics)
She-Hulk (TV)
The Boys (TV/2019)
X-Men (comics)
4. Pairings:
ok so the list of all the pairings that got stuff posted to AO3:
Adrian Chase/Christopher Smith (Peacemaker)
Jean Grey/Wanda Maximoff (Marvel unless otherwise noted)
Gamora/Peter Quill
Steve Rogers/Natasha Romanoff
Gamora/Richard Rider
Matt Murdock/Marc Spector
Matt Murdock/Jennifer Walters
Matt Murdock/Peter Quill
Jessica Jones/Matt Murdock
Matt Murdock/Elektra Natchios
Queen Maeve/Starlight (Annie January) (The Boys)
Matt Murdock/Foggy Nelson
Matt Murdock/Richard Rider
Katya/Sofia (Goncharov lol)
Wanda Maximoff/Matt Murdock/Richard Rider
5. Stories with the most:
Kudos: this might be all i ever wanted (all i ever wanted to happen to me) — got right in at the She-Hulk finale hype so I think that helped to boost it
Bookmarks: same as above; people were really loving that one at the time it dropped!
Comment threads: whatever happens (happens to the both of us) — my first Peacemaker fic, and I think the timing of this hit when a lot of people were finishing up the show, but I'm really flattered and honored!
Word count: ghost behind my eyes
6. Work I'm most proud of (and why): I'm going to cheat and pick a few:
ghost behind my eyes — at 10,143 words, it remains my longest self-contained one shot, and I'm really proud of the character work I did here. Christopher Smith and his character development are really important to me, and here's to hoping that will continue in Peacemaker season 2!
standing at a broken altar (asking if we feel relief) — represented a whole new creative venture for me, featuring characters I (at least at the time) had never written into fic before, and I'm someone who's... honestly pretty lapsed, religion-wise, and writing this made me think about faith, how it's questioned, tested, and found again, in a way I haven't in a while. That's a theme I'd like to explore more in future writing — and I'm planning to do more of this through Matt.
almost paradise — the story that's been a long time coming for me. Gamora is literally one of my favorite characters of all time, and to say I... did not handle Infinity War well is putting it very, very mildly; that movie came out not that extremely long after a big personal loss in my real life, so losing a character that dear to me at that time was something I took really hard. This is the first time I've actually acknowledged her death in a piece of writing, and I'm proud of myself that I did.
7. Work I'm least proud of (and why): none of them? I don't usually post something unless I feel pretty good about it.
8. Share or describe a favorite review you received:
Tumblr media
cannot express how much this comment made my year. yes, I do. when women.
9. A time when writing was really, really hard: Honestly, my biggest challenge surrounding writing is just... working around my own chronic illness (which involves episodic fatigue) and mental health struggles. For one of those reasons or both at the same time, there were periods of the year that made writing more difficult than others. I'm working on incorporating smaller, more manageable writing goals during those periods so that I can still keep working without exhausting myself.
10. A scene or character you wrote that surprised you: I wasn't expecting Matt Murdock Slut Era to extend for as long as it did, and yet here we are.
11. A favorite excerpt of your writing: from almost paradise:
What he deserves, he thinks, is to be left here, alone with ghosts because that’s all he’s fit to provide company for — maybe until he becomes one himself. Because, yeah, if Ego had been telling the truth, for all his words had been worth, with the destruction of his planet, Peter can do that now. That might actually be better for everyone involved, because all he does, clearly, is pull people into a total shitstorm or get them killed. Sometimes both.
But people don’t ever really get what they deserve, do they? His mom, the kindest person the universe would probably ever know, hadn’t deserved to die from a tumor in her brain, put there by an evil man she’d chosen to give her huge heart to.
And he doesn’t deserve a hand reaching toward him, pulling him up from the floor.
12: How did you grow as a writer this year: My writing got a lot smuttier LMAO But it also just... reflected a "fuck it, we ball" type of attitude that I'd been slowly embracing. Inventing ships, writing whatever the fuck I want. I've grown a lot, and I feel really liberated.
13. How do you hope to grow next year: I hope to continue just... following my bliss. I've come a really long way in not caring as much about an invisible audience and just writing whatever I want, and I aim to keep doing that. I aim to keep believing in myself in that way and going the distance with my screwball ideas.
14. Who was your greatest positive influence this year as a writer (could be another writer or beta or cheerleader or muse etc etc): Would like to thank the discographies of Massive Attack, CHVRCHES, and Taylor Swift for fueling my writing. Also anyone when I said "I'm gonna put these blorbos together" who said "do it".
15. Anything from your real life show up in your writing this year: I mentioned it before, but almost paradise was written during a depressive episode and I've joked it was me flinging out all my unresolved grief issues onto the page instead of going to therapy in December (using, you know, one beloved character of mine grieving another beloved character's death as a proxy), so. yes.
16. Any new wisdom you can share with other writers: Don't write to cater to an audience; write to cater to yourself. If you love what you do, readers can see that love, and they'll believe in it, too. Readers are really good at telling what is and isn't genuine, so the best thing to do is just... be yourself.
17. Any projects you’re looking forward to starting (or finishing) in the new year: I have an existing WIP to finish, and a few more ideas in the can! Featuring: more Vigilmaker, more self-indulgent blorbo ships I invented (featuring either Matt Murdock or Rich Rider or both likely), and GOTG Vol 3 about to wreck my life, so of course I would imagine a good bulk of my writing this year will be related to it. This is all I'll say.

thank you for the tag @novasforce
Number of stories posted to AO3:
17
2. Word count this year:
38568 (on Ao3. It doesn't account for what I only published on an italian fanfiction site [which doesn't have a word count like Ao3])
3. Fandoms I wrote for:
taking the list from AO3:
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Black Widow
Daredevil (TV)
Harry Potter
Hawkeye (comics/TV)
The Mirror Visitor
Miraculous Ladybug
Moon Knight (TV)
Ms Marvel (comics/TV)
She-Hulk: Attorney at law
Spider-Man (MCU)
The Avengers
4. Pairings:
I mostly wrote gen relationships this year, but here are the pairings:
Matt Murdock/Jennifer Walters
Matt Murdock/Claire Temple
Matt Murdock/Natasha Romanov
Clint Barton/Laura Barton
Michelle Jones/Peter Parker
Draco Malfoy/Luna Lovegood
Luka Couffaine/Marinette Dupain-Cheng (MLB)
Adrien Agreste/Marinette Dupain-Cheng (MLB)
5. Stories with the most:
Kudos: What am I looking at, Matt? — published right after She-Hulk ep 8 and the hype for the episode did the rest, my most popular story ever :")
Bookmarks: same as above!
Comment threads: A marvelous october, which has 31 chapters. The fic with more comment threads on a single chapter would be the same as above!
Word count: Same as above with its 31 chapters. As a writer, most of my stories are pretty short; my longest one-chapter story on Ao3 (for 2022 at least) would be Sorelle dal sangue diverso, a one-shot in Italian.
6. Work I'm most proud of (and why):
What's in a soul? I'm really proud of how this turned out. It has Natasha coming back without her memories when Bruce snaps his fingers and it delves on the bond between memoried and identity. Is she still Natasha? Is she not? She meets Matt along the way.
7. Work I'm least proud of (and why): maybe a short hogwarts!au I wrote in italian for a challenge. I'm not super satisfied with the final result (mostly because it doesn't really go anywhere), but it was one of the first things I wrote for the Daredevil fandom, so there's that.
8. Share or describe a favorite review you received:
"oh my goshhhh this is so poetic and beautiful. "Would you like to tell me why?" MY HEART.
Also, Nat saying she “Swapped it for an orange rock.” made me smile. A very Nat thing to say. (And she says she's not still Nat!)"
"oh wow, this is so good, and so poignant? in a way. how you portrayed Nat’s identity issues and struggling to be someone you’re not, someone everyone expects you to be, felt so real. this fic was so lovely. thank you so much for writing! <3"
Both those two comments made me smile so much 🥹
9. A time when writing was really, really hard: Pretty much all the first part of the year, from January to September. I wrote next to nothing then.
10. A scene or character you wrote that surprised you: Maybe that I actually wrote about Clint and Laura. Also Jennifer Walters, I wasn't expecting it but I found writing from her pov pretty easy and kinda fun.
11. A favorite excerpt of your writing: from What's in a soul?:
“I'm the ghost of a sister. I'm the ghost of a friend. I'm the ghost of a killer and a hero.” She pauses. Her heartbeat slows back to its usual steady rhythm. “I'm a shadow who is more comfortable talking and fighting with a vigilante than surrounded by people who say they love her.”
12: How did you grow as a writer this year: I wrote a lot directly in English, which is something I didn't really do before (I've translated a few stories in the past, but translating and writing are pretty different processes).
13. How do you hope to grow next year: I hope to keep writing, first of all, in both English and Italian. I hope to improve and to be able to write meaningful stories.
14. Who was your greatest positive influence this year as a writer (could be another writer or beta or cheerleader or muse etc etc): I can't not mention @ceterisparibus116. I read pretty much every Daredevil story on her profile and I fell in love with everything – the themes, the characterizations, the plots. So good aaaaaaaaaaaa
15. Anything from your real life show up in your writing this year: there's always something from my experiences in my writing, usually in a not very explicit way, but yeah.
16. Any new wisdom you can share with other writers: Don't write to cater to an audience; write to cater to yourself. If you love what you do, readers can see that love, and they'll believe in it, too. <- I'm keeping @novasforce's advise because it's really good! And I completely agree. Write what you like first and foremost, without worrying about how many people might or might not read and appreciate it.
17. Any projects you’re looking forward to starting (or finishing) in the new year: I am working on something for the DDE, so there's that. I'm also joining a challenge to write a story a month according to certain themes, so I hope to be able to fulfill that too (last year I only got 7 months/12).

@darehearts sent “come get me out."
the sigh from jen’s end of the phone is a long one. her other hand plucks her glasses right off to be able then drag her palm down it. “okay.” after, the silence persists as she slides the stack of paperwork off her lap and onto the empty side of the bed. “i’m on my way.” does jim’s call beat the case she’s been losing sleep on? probably, no matter how stupid it ends up being, but the fact is that she was settled, cozy, warm… “please don’t do anything else. just wait, quietly, patiently, don’t do anything carol wouldn’t do.”

HE'D BEEN MOSTLY KEEPING TO HIMSELF but that wasn't to say he didn't keep close contact with the avengers that remained. "bruce has told me about you, briefly." considering bruce had just returned himself. that was a whole other situation now wasn't it. "i could use your help. not the hulk side the .... jennifer walters side, if you got time."

verse outlines (expanded on later)
canon: follows general canon from a1 to last canon appearance. the only notable retcons to canon i make are that phoenix is not an indestructible machine of a man who can survive things like being hit by cars and eating glass without suffering some amounts of lingering physical trauma; walks with assistance of cane when pain is flaring after vehicle accident. most threads will be placed here with nebulous space to allow for universe merges unless requested otherwise.
mvc: i mean. mvc is pretty self explanatory. this is another easy way to write w marvel chars if preferred.
alternate universes:
marvel: phoenix is a mutant criminal defense lawyer who frequently fights on behalf of and for mutant civil and humanitarian rights. his status as a mutant is largely unknown to others as he keeps it to himself. works frequently with matt murdock and jennifer walters, however; mutant cases tend to be redirected from them to phoenix as he has a positive reputation for pulling mutants out of the muck almost every time. his current standing record is 22 wins, 2 dismissals/"ties", 2 losses. his mutant abilities include foresight, inhuman empathy, and lie detection. he also has physical mutations--there is a band of red feathers running up his back and spine that fan out broadly over his shoulders and run down his hand, where his fingers tighten like talons. he keeps his nails trimmed short and generally wears gloves to conceal. unbeknownst to him, he is a viable host for the phoenix cosmic force, as in it would operate relatively smoothly in him and wouldnt blow him up or make him crazy. however, as phoenix is not a fighter in the slightest, it makes no difference and he is completely unaware of this fact.
resident evil: renowned criminal defense lawyer who frequently bails out individuals framed by umbrella, though has been known to defend individuals scapegoated by "good" militia outlets like the bsaa and terrasave.
dnd / bg3: half high elf half human, probably a bard or bard-rogue dual spec, i havent decided yet, famed magistrate who primarily operates on the west coast of faerun, probably does work in candlekeep, baldurs gate, and elturel. formerly employed under mia fey whom is murdered early into his career, but regularly speaks through her siblings via necromantic and spiritual magic. (maya is probably like.. an elven necromancer). generally known as phoenix in this universe, though does possess the surname of wright through his human father. originally born in kara-tur. has an office in baldurs gate called the "wright anything agency", handles both private detective work and criminal defense.

if you're interested in writing with any of them, please read the rules below 😌
rules:
hi,i'm molly, 25, she/her, gmt, and this is my comic multi muse. i'm very familiar with dc comics and pretty competent when it comes to marvel comics. i have also watched most live action superhero films, but will be keeping all of my muses comic based. however, i am happy to interact with live action based muses.
i am always up for plotting and starting threads, so don't be afraid to just slip into my IM's if there is a plot that you would like to try between our muses. my writing style is extremely flexible and will adapt to that of the writing partner. replies can get lengthy, especially when it comes to plotted things, but matching length is never mandatory. as long as there is something that i can reply to, i'm good.
this is not a 'shipping first blog', and most romantic ships should be natural and discussed beforehand. if nsfw appears, it will be tagged #nsft. i will obviously not write this with anyone under the age of 18 or with muses under the age of 18. if you try, you will be blocked.
if we already have a thread and you would like to start another, let's do it! there is no limit to the amount of threads i have with one partner at the same time. please note that sometimes i'm super fast when it comes to replying, and other times i an take up to a week or more. it all depends on muse and time i have to come online during a week.
my default for format is small text, normal spacing, and icons. want bigger text? want to go iconless? done. i don't mind how you format as long as it's legible. also, never be afraid to turn an ask meme into a thread!
i don't do follow for follow, so if i hit that follow button, it means that i want our characters to interact! if you follow me and i don't follow back within a week of myself being active on tumblr, it probably means that i won't follow back, sorry. ocs, multi-muse blogs and characters from other fandoms are always welcome. the only blogs i won't ever consider following are personal blogs. if you don't follow me back within a week, i will unfollow as i assume you don't want to interact (and that's perfectly okay!) when it comes to unfollowing, i may do that if you post more ooc than ic. i will definitely unfollow if you fill the dash with negativity and drama. i prefer to keep my dash a friendly and safe space. this is, after all, a hobby that we're supposed to enjoy.

Bunch of scattered/unorganized Yellowjackets thoughts (spoilers)
- could not choose between shauna and misty as my faves throughout season 1 but Lottie and Nat really got me in season 2 as well… there’s so many good characters auugghg
- i have NO clue what the heck’s going on with taissa and where her characters going im absolutely stumped. The heck’s up with that man with no eyes I wanna know!!! It feels like they’re building up to something really slowly and taking their time with it
- finding out the woman who directed Jennifer’s Body is an executive producer on the show was really funny that makes so much sense.
- is van going to miraculously survive her cancer bc of how Lottie said the wilderness is pleased with their sacrifice (of nat) and implied how it’s going to reward them?? Since they had a close up of vans reaction to Lottie saying that I feel like that might be a thing that could happen but not sure what else
- Travis is fucking insufferable in season one (thankfully eased up in ssn 2) but I still couldn’t fully hate him bc of his siblingisms with Javi I’m so simple when it comes to siblings LOL… his reaction to seeing Javi’s frozen corpse absolutely wrecked me. And him taking a bite out of his raw heart my god I was FLOORED
- I get why people dislike Misty’s thing with Walter but I can’t bring myself to hate it I want misty to have nice things and a happy freak4freak relationship truly is what she deserves. The perfect ending though would be if both of them find out they’re gay and become wlw/mlm Reddit true crime solidarity. But I can also see them getting split pretty quickly bc of misty dealing with accidentally killing nat
- I absolutely adore the misdirection with some plot threads for example the whole mystery with Travis in season 1 felt like it was building up to a reveal of sorts like who really killed him and why?? What did they want?? Only to find out super early on in season 2 that his death was an accident (but in essence Kind of a suicide) and when Lottie recounts it nat calls bullshit and I called bullshit too bc I thought there was more going on but the more the 96 plotline plays out the clearer it becomes that that really was what happened… like we don’t know the full story of what happened in the wilderness but you can broadly fill in gaps. But it’s still a different thing entirely seeing what actually happened and it recontextualizing everything in the adult timeline you’ve seen prior… there’s no conspiracy Travis wasn’t murdered and all these characters are just haunted to such an extent that becomes clearer and clearer as the show continues
- Did Not care for Kevyn Tan idc that he used to be a goth kid in love with nat he revoked that card when he became a cop and didn’t do anything to stop jay/whatever the fuck that guys name was from preying on Callie… I laughed so hard when he suddenly died completely unceremoniously not gonna lie. I loved it. Wish they killed off that other cop too though
- love coach Scott’s fuck em kids move at the end I was not seeing that coming at all but I was delighted. Gay trying to do the mass burying
- I hope Mari isn’t pit girl simply because she’s so funny she’s such a fucking hater I love her
- am really curious how the rest of the show’s going to pan out over its projected 5 seasons I think the story is a slow burn overall but with a 5 season plan that feels really purposeful… like so far only 2 people have been Eated, one simply by circumstance and the other left to die in a passive way and we’ve yet to reach a point where they actively murder someone With Intent to kill and eat and the escalation to it has been very gradual
- I saw a lot of people complain about season 2s pacing but I felt like it was. Fine? I only started watching the show a few days after the season finale ended so I didn’t wait a week between episodes so it might be one of those things where the pacing issues are lessened when watched back to back but idk
- Doesn’t taissa have senator duties to attend to or something girl has so much to answer to when she gets home from the Lottie cult misadventures
- Also her assistants car is still just kind of out there ?? Left on the side of a ditch?? Girl
- I read in an interview that originally Nat’s dream realm scene in the plane while she’s dying was going to have javi and young nat laughing mockingly to adult nat while she breaks down crying THATS FUCKING INSANE????? GOOD LORD. it didn’t make the cut and part of me wishes it did but also I’m kind of glad it didn’t bc that would’ve been. A Lot. But holy fuck
- I know the likelihood of coach Scott getting hunted and eaten is extremely high but I hope he can last another season at least. He’ll probably be hiding for dear life from the girls who Definitely want him dead now for that stunt he pulled (if they figure out it was his doing to begin with)
- I want to give Lottie a hug
- Jeff is so fucking funny I love a good wife guy. He’s so ride or die for shauna it rules. I want to see more interactions of him and Callie also I found the scene where he tells her abt the wilderness baby heartbreaking but also really sweet…
- It’s wild how much time left there still is before they get rescued how in the hell are these girls going to stay warm for the rest of the winter?? Though now that I think about it since nat knows about it there might be a more active effort to find Javi’s shelter. Or maybe find others similar to it? The impression I got from the pit girl scene was that they split up into smaller groups in different directions (bc of the different symbols hung on different trees) but I may be wrong on that one
- When spring/summer rolls back around and game starts showing up again are they going to be like “ok cool we can go back to being normal humans let’s just never talk about our winter activities again ok.”
- More Caligula next season please

I have removed Joyce Byers, Jennifer Walters, most of the Wednesday muses (Enid is still there but is highly selective for the moment) and Calliope. Any threads with these muses will most likely be dropped, apologies. My Eddie, Chrissy and Nancy are both on highly selective as well as my Natasha.

Green And Blue Are An Amazing Match || Jennifer & Kurt
Plotted starter for @bothsidesofaquestion
When Jennifer'd told Charles Xavier that she would be there to help any mutant he thought needed a hand with legal situations for free no questions asked, she hadn't expected Logan of all people to become her most recurrent client. It seemed that something about the man just made people want to sue him, it went from public indecency to property damage rounding the thousands of dollars, money that Wolverine obviously didn't have because apparently immortality didn't mean he'd been saving up.
As soon as they made it to the courtroom, Jennifer had the feeling that it was going to be an interesting day to say the least.
And oh, did she hate being right.
The city attorney wasn't even done reading Logan's charges when too unsavory and certainly uninvited guests decided to make an appearance. Sabertooth and Blob, Jennifer hadn't yet had the pleasure to meet them, but she's seen them on the news more times than she could count.
"Help the people get out of here," she told Logan, and before he could protest, she added. "We don't need anyone pressing more charges on you. I got this, go!"
Two against one wasn't a fair fight, but Jennifer could make it work. She always told Bruce that confidence could win you half the battle, it was about time she listened to her own advice.

Ok but now I just wanna know how is all of this going to link with TRT (if it’s going to link at all)👀👀 Honestly I see Jane and Jen flirting to make Matt jealous or sm🔥
I'm HOPING the Netflix theme that played during that part with Matt means that this is indeed the same one, cause if so, that'll make it easy for TRT to flow seamlessly into She-Hulk. I'll confirm by that point (post endgame) in the TRT timeline, Matt and Jane would be married and probably have mini matt the cat and are keeping an eye on Peter. If the Netflix events are not canon to this Matt, I've decided I'm just going to mash it all together anyway the way I am with X-Men and such. It's just a question of how.
Jane and Jen flirting to drive Matt up a wall is not out of the question, either. Matt knows Jane won't do anything, but he also knows that voice, and he'd be able to smell that she's enjoying his reactions.
Likely would lead to him simply throwing her over his shoulder and carrying her out of the bar. Or into the bathroom.

the café is quieter than normal during this time of day, but that’s exactly why kyle had chosen now to set up this meeting. it had been rather last minute, but kyle hadn’t minded. he needed the business, and this client had sounded both nice and professional in their correspondence beforehand—a rare combination that he appreciated greatly. hopefully that energy carried over into this meeting, and his client would be understanding of his long lead times.
he glances up as the bell above the door chimes, signaling the arrival of another patron. a woman approaches him, and kyle stands to greet her. “hi, are you jen? i’m kyle, thanks for meeting with me. i hope this wasn’t too out of your way.”
