does mh!house have any sign houseisms? like using signs that don’t exactly exist, per say, but ones that he’s made up/an amalgamation of signs that only wilson can understand? and maybe he’ll want to talk bad about someone/something/whatever he doesn’t want anyone else to know he’s talking about (cuddy, the fellows, ect.) and he goes from signing “regularly” to his own signing and the other person (who if it’s his fellows or cuddy, I’m assuming, understands signing to an extent) just turns to wilson like, “what is he saying now?” and then wilson just gives the side eye and shrug like, “you’re guess is as good as mine”

also curious if house makes up signs in front of wilson just to piss him off (and cuddy for that matter too, only slightly different that making ones up to talk about how she looks with wilson) idk how “I’m gonna make up shit” he’d with the fellows

YUP!! he's smashed together signs for things he says often/whole sentences [to save time]. he''s also given everybody he interacts with on a daily their own asl names [though theyre probably mostly like, a slur combined with the first letter of their name.] and 100% he'd switch from like. asl to hsl.. [house sign language] so other people cant understand him . HE'D LIKE. get into an argument and then start randomly signing and pretending the other person is incopentent when they dont get his signs [his nonexistent signs..]

Love that Ford gets to heal with Stan, Dipper and Mabel and the others after being manipulated by Bill. Like it's wonderful that he finally gets some peace of mind and that despite everything he's still got people in his corner. Like yes bitch we love a character who grows and heals when they're with loved ones in this household.

LANCER! going over the ch1 stream again toby fox has a lot to say about lancer, including this line i like to bring up a lot in my analysis;

not only because it stands true for the darkners as a whole — being their own characters with real emotions — but also because with lancer specifically it embodies a lot of that empathetic subversion concept i bring up a lot too. toby fox explains that at first, lancer was written to be more of a nuisance — but lancer's character evolved to subvert that annoying nuisance archetype come the final game.

lancer isn't a popular kid. he isn't just treated like an annoyance by his father — a good chunk of the card kingdom treats him that way too. and instead of this functioning to make lancer flat or give the audience the same impression those characters have, lancer is intended to be a sympathetic and fully-realized character who reacts to this situation like any kid his age would. like each member of our main trio, lancer is an outcast who deserves to be treated as more than an annoyance.
