Soooo fucking funny and fascinating that Disney higher ups or Zegler's coaches or whoever clearly instructed her to talk about the Snow White LA remake in a certain way to garner conversation around it - 'it's better than the original, we're excited to have a female character not defined by her love interest, etc etc' all the most basic common talking points for these stupid remakes. Like. They Encouraged Her to talk about the film like that. That's part of the job, talking to the press, there is no way in hell she wasn't coached and given these talking points. And when it exploded into controversy because people were pissed the lead actress seemed to have disdain for the source material?

Well, of course then Corporate Disney(TM) hung her out to dry completely and let her take the brunt of the hatred online. All of the insane targeted harassment she was already receiving due to her skin tone AMPLIFIED. Of course there were crickets from Disney as they scrambled to fix what they'd fucked (the whole film, conceptually, as a whole, was never going to be good, but those CGI dwarves, woof). The dogshit treatment she's had to endure and all that for a fucking garbage live action remake... if I were her I'd be going John Wick mode at Disney headquarters

folks,,,, i can not possibly write every single thing that has ever happened to these fools in the comics, in LoF. that would be decades worth of content and decades worth of a headache that i'm not bothering with. i don't even know what all is canon to LoF, just things that aren't canon because it would hurt my brain (or my heart) to include it. like i do try to keep it coherent but i don't know everything. if you want to include specific arcs then please write your own fic. love you and hope you succeed, but LoF is already a monster of a work and i can't even imagine trying to keep all of that together

Okay I have some thoughts about the community’s reaction to the Secret of the Mimic trailer that I need to get out or else I’ll explode. Everybody is so upset for no good reason and it’s kind of exhausting that we can’t have a single FNaF release without people getting mad that it’s “not like the OG games”. Which is fair, but also, FNaF has undergone ten years of development, both technologically and financially and Scott now has ten years of retrospect with this series, and obviously everything is going to change. That’s not really what I wanted to talk about though SO I’m just going to ramble about a few things I’ve seen people say and spout some thoughts my friends and I have been having about it.

“Who even is the Mimic???” Okay. It’s completely fair to not know who the Mimic is (even though most people do at this point, as it’s not exactly information that’s hard to access), which is WHY this game is being made, and it’s why I’m so glad this game is being made. Important game lore being exclusively in the books is dumb, and I’m glad we’re finally getting the Mimic backstory in an actual game. This is a good thing!! They’re giving us information in the format they should’ve been giving it to us in all this time!! (Though, it being in the books first felt like a test run of these concepts they’re exploring in the games, as if they were trying to get us used to it? I guess it kind of worked? Still a weird move though.)

“It’s just Poppy Playtime /neg” Have we all forgotten that Poppy Playtime was made to feed off of the Security Breach hype? Have we forgotten that FNaF essentially created the mascot horror genre? SotM is the style it is because of SB, not because of the mascot horror games that copied the modern FNaF style. SotM would’ve existed in its current form with or without PPT, as PPT has nothing to do with the natural progression of FNaF games. PPT started with people calling it a FNaF ripoff and now I guess people are saying FNaF is a PPT ripoff?? Do you guys hear yourselves??

“Tales from the Pizzaplex isn’t canon because of [insert minor detail]” How on earth do you still think this even after the games have followed Tales’ Mimic lore time and time again?? Tales is how we know what we know about the Mimic, which lines up with what we have in the games. It’s all one story, just being told across different forms of media for some reason. And if SotM directly mentioning concepts from Tales isn’t enough, I do not know what you think they’re trying to do here. You guys are coping so hard. As for little details that are different: OBVIOUSLY the games are going to be different from the books, they’re entirely different medias with different requirements for storytelling and audience engagement.

TL;DR Your reasons to be mad about modern FNaF are stupid and don’t make sense. If you don’t like the way FNaF is going, simply do not follow it or interact. It’s that easy. Alternatively, accept you can’t do anything about it and just go along for the ride and at least try to enjoy yourself! Stop being angry about everything, it’s not helpful to you or anybody else.

Youre telling me Dream got that Apple White treatment where they did nothing wrong (in apple's case, actively went through really good character development) and are still seen as inherently wrongful, blaming a six year old and a teenager for all the bad events in their stories

Both of them were ACTIVELY manipulated and sheltered by adults in their lives and try their absolute best to help people out of pure selflessness.

Dream doesn't need to apologize, he did absolutely nothing wrong, he was naive and trusted his brother to tell the truth about his injuries and was busy all day helping people- such evil incarnate. Headcannoning differently or having an AU that differs is fully fine to me, it's just people who actively believe that Dream had any fault in the canon events that piss me off to no end

Would you look at that! This isn't to say Passive was at fault either, literally every action can be justified by 'he was six'- they weren't the most emotionally mature, because they were six. They weren't the most perceptive of each other's pain- because they were six. They wouldn't have been able to do anything about it if they knew, because theyre were six.

DMK is quite a popular figure in the Mirror World, largely thanks to his publicized connections to Dark Mind. Whether that popularity is good or bad however, depends on who you ask.

The Mirror World's Ninja Clan has some history with the Mirror GSA, but more importantly, they know just how much of a status symbol having DMK on their side would be, and they've yet to give up trying. They've approached him in the past seeking to convince him, and when those attempts failed, they resorted to more physical methods.

Thus, DMK's managed to earn himself a bounty (not that anyone has let him know), and the Mir GSA fends off errant kidnapping attempts from the Ninja Clan every few months.

Or to be more precise, Mir Falspar handles them.
