Any Uzumaki clan culture headcanons?
ooooooooo that's such a blank slate for me to paint on. we really get like NO info of them. i imagine that they had many festivals, even more than the Uchiha did. while the uchiha's holidays were all typically historical and celebrated noted heroes, triumphs, or endured suffering of their clan, the uzumaki had festivals nearly every month, celebrating seasons and music and fables they believed in. i like to imagine they had traditional dances and clothing specific to each festival. obviously, spirals were everywhere from their traditional foods- pastries shaped like whirlpools and perhaps meats rolled into pinwheels with herbs and filling to their spinning dances.
it's hard not to bleed Naruto's character into what i imagine uzumaki culture would be. colorful and happy and all about gathering and joy. so festivals.
you know what??? just for him. imma say it. ramen in the naruto universe was invented by the uzumaki. maybe even naruto- the fishcake ramen topping- was also invented by the uzumaki. it would be SO symbolically wonderful for the narrative as well as like. they put spirals on their food. of course they invented it.

It's 15 days early, but in celebration for a certain silent bean's birthday. Time for more Headcanons... of the Hap Birf variety.
So it's Sunny's Birthday. A wonderful time for all, honestly it should be an International Holiday. Especially since the gang uses this day as an excuse (not that they really need it) to tickle him to pieces.
Honestly they do this for everyone's birthday, no one is safe from the Birthday Tickles. It's just Sunny's time to be adorably murdered.
It doesn't help that the biggest tickle monster in town, nay the World, sleeps right beside him. So here he was strolling around his dreamworld of colors and rainbows only to be snapped awake in a fit of laughter. Sunny would be annoyed that he was awoken from his dreams but he's too busy laughing to file a formal complaint to Mari. So he settled for an out of breath form of the silent treatment, which lasted for about 10 seconds until Mari promised to make him Birthday Cookies. Then he immediately started talking to her again.
So after the first wave, the second attack came almost immediately after the sibling duo got ready for the day. Because outside the door was Kel, eager and ready to serve up his Birthday Tickles. So, naturally Sunny ran away. Not to escape really because he knows there's no escape with Kel, but he wanted at least a comfortable place to lay down and die from tickles. So he ran into the living room to quote-unquote 'hide' on the couch until Kel caught up and started the onslaught.
Next up on the Tickle Attack Chart is Aubrey, and out of everyone in the friend group Sunny feared her tickle prowess the most. He'd argue that she was as close to being on par with Mari herself, mainly due to her innate ability to find an opening even with Sunny trying to block her evil tickling hands. It also didn't help that she's super quick on the draw, so every time Sunny would try to protect a spot she would quickly focus on another part. Realizing that there was no hope in trying to stop her Sunny just let her tickle him freely. Much to the ribbon girl's delight.
Anyway that should be all-- No wait Basil is coming in with his fabled technique... the Tickle Hug. A Tickle Dark Art that is practiced by a select few people, and Basil is a master at it. It's his bread and butter, and Sunny should have realized that this was all a trap. But he was loopy from the giggles and could never turn down a Basil Hug. Until... the betrayal. As Basil dug his fingers into Sunny's stomach he realized that he's caught in a vice grip of laughter and comfort with no hope of escape. It didn't help that Basil is... kinda strong. Mans carries bags of fertilizer semi-regularly for his gardens so once you're in his hug, there's no escape until he says so.
Now it's time for Hero, and he takes a more... vocal approach. He may not be as strong, or capable of doing endurance chases, or has as optimal hand-eye coordination as the others... but what he makes up for is talking. Talking and teasing and using that endearingly smug smile that Sunny both loves and hates!
Hero has like an thesaurus built into his brain or something, because he never repeats a tease. Ever. 'Will you stop squirming so much?' 'Why are you hiding, huh?' 'Not here? Hmm... nah. I wanna tickle here some more'. Even if Sunny was able to speak properly through all the laughing he would still not be able to articulate a proper rebuttal against all of that. Hero knows this too, which is why he's always last when it comes to Sunny Birthday Tickles.
But either way... that's it. All 5 of them got their tickles in. The sacred ritual has been compleee-- Why is Mari coming back for more? What is this? This is unprecedented!
Mari is just straight up saying 'Frick the rules, I have Sibling Perks', and is coming back for a second wind. Makes sense since she's an established practitioner of the Tickle Dark Arts. While Basil has only masted one of the techniques, Mari has mastered all of them. From the Tickle Hug, to Verbal Teases, to Ghost Tickles a technique she created herself, to even stealing Sunny's Sneak Attack technique. Such an expansive repertoire of moves earns her the right to the title of 'Tickle Monster' and she flexes that title often... mostly on poor Sunny.
And it was at that moment where Sunny realized that the tickle attack from this morning was just an appetizer. A sneak peek for the wreckoning he was facing. As he was held down by his big sister... who asked "Any last words?" He had one, and it was to stick his tongue out at her. She took that challenge in kind, as Sunny's laughter echoed throughout the neighborhood.
🤍💖🤍💛💜💛💚💙💞❤️❤️💗❤️🩶💛💚🧡💛💕💜❤️🤍❤️💙💞🩶🖤💗🤎
Aaaaah, birthday tickles is such a great trope, in my opinion! It is teasy, silly, playful and also very fun to see! To think of Sunny having a day full of giggles and laughter and not minding it at all is so heartwarming. My bruh is just having the time of his life with his friends and family during his b-day and it's very adorable to see. Also ahwcgwvwhwvw Mari being such a tickle monster is basically Canon for me xDDD
#the 'any last words?' and Sunny choosing to be a Brat is greaaaaat#they are So Silly#Basil mastering the tickle hug and Kel the Tickle Chase like heck yeah lets gooooo#<333#Kanene's askys#Ticklish!Sunny#Lee!Sunny#<3#Ler!Kel#Ler!Basil#Ler!Hero#Ler!Mari#Ler!Aubrey#happiness and laughter is what they deserve#omori tickles#omori tickling#omori tickle headcanons#starstorm2112 is precious

(( 👶🏻 Let me see Ruri 😩😩😩 LMAO ))
Send me 👶🏻and i’ll hc about our muses’ child
Name:
Ruri - Emerald.
The one who proposed the name was Ruki (so dominant that he even wants to be the one to name their first child lmao), He chose the name due to the emeralds that the girl had as eyes inherited from her mother, big and bright, but it was also a name very similar to his own.
Birthdate:
14th January
Personality headcanon:
Ruri is a very calm girl, but she doesn't become serious and reserved like her father. She is ambiverted (mix of extrovert and introvert), logical and polite. But after that tender and sweet stage as a little angel, she has a good level of sadism, quite high like both parents.
She's quite a bossy and stubborn too but just a little.
What was their first word and how old were they when they said it:
Ruri's first word was 'Papa' when she was only 5 months old. Ruki tried so hard to make him her first word that he ended up getting it.
Geez Irina... Enduring pregnancy, birth and postpartum to later earn this, what an unfair life.
Did they get in trouble in school:
Not at all. Both parents insistently educated her that she should do her best to stay out of trouble when she can, as long as it's not something where she has to jump to defend herself.
She is the good girl that everyone adores at school.
Which parent were they more attached to:
As much as Ruri has been daddy's little princess, the girl has become much more connected to her mother. Ruri has always been very attached to her and they created a close bond even since she was in the womb, always reacting to Irina's caresses and voice.
Also, Irina is a much sweeter and more affectionate mother than Ruki, having no problem bringing out her inner child to play Ruri's games.
What was their favorite toy:
It's a plush of a sweet lamb that her parents bought for her while they were waiting for her birth. Since she was born she has slept with that little lamb in her arms and it has always been like that, Ruri carrying it from one side to the other without wanting to separate from it. She will even protect the stuffed animal with claws and fangs so it won't be taken away.
Did they cry a lot as a baby:
Ruri was a very calm baby. She didn't even cry, she just made occasional little sounds like whining when she was hungry, gassy, sleepy or any other need of hers.
A whole paradise.
But when she grew up she started to whimper more in her tantrums, she's quite sensitive.
Movie they watched over and over:
Mulan. Although Ruki prefers his daughter to spend more time reading books or playing other things, every now and then he would let her watch a movie before bed and whenever he asked which one she wanted, most of the time the two of Mulan's movies were neat.
Ruri loved watching Mushu's comedic scenes and seeing the protagonist's battles, even imagining herself as her in those heroic scenes.
What was their favorite subject in school:
Ruri's favorite subject was haiku. Due to the influence of her father on books along with the poetic books and fables that her mother told her, Ruri developed a fondness and enormous comfort with this subject.
Ruri, even at home, dedicated herself to writing these short poems that reflected so many of her feelings of the day, and then proudly went to show them to her parents.
Were they social growing up or quiet:
Ruri is quite conformist. She is neither very talkative nor very quiet. She doesn't feel the need to go looking for someone to talk to, but she also loves having small talk with her friends as well as being quiet for the odd moment to immerse herself in her thoughts.
What do they grow up to be:
With the enormous ambition predominating in her DNA, Ruri managed to become a writer mostly dedicated to poetry, creating these so-called haikus and other types of poems.
Three random headcanons:
Ruri inherited the traits of both parents evenly, therefore, when she is accompanied by Ruki, everyone comments on how identical she came out to him, but when she is accompanied by Irina, now everyone sees that she came out identical to her.
Ruri is allergic to nuts. They found out it in a terrible way, getting quite a shock when they saw that Ruri had difficulty breathing after eating some cookies with nuts.
The girl is a bit clumsy when it comes to her walk, she always has band-aids on her knees to cover all the wounds she gets of her falls. She stumbles a lot.
Likes & dislikes:
Ruri loves rabbits and lambs, pastel blue, vanilla milkshake, and her favorite food is pumpkin cream.
She is afraid of porcelain dolls, the physical effort and the crowd overwhelm her.
Do they get along with their parents:
She has a very great relationship with her parents, although they have a hard time coordinating to agree on how to educate their daughter.
But regardless of that, they are a great union that has made an effort to make family ties very close and strengthened. Basically unwavering so that Ruri feels satisfied and grows up in a good environment.

[1/8] Much in the same way that Ironwood's character (or rather, the potential) was butchered by the writing in order to make him a dictator (despite all logical evidence to the contrary), do you think Salem's character was written in such a way that the ambiguity of whether or her choices are influenced by the pools is inherently miscommunicated? As she's portrayed in the show there's no getting around the fact that she's an abuser. But I also keep thinking about Jinn's throwaway line from V6 –
Sorry for the delay in answering this, but I just took an impromptu 4-hour nap. (I’ve been fairly seriously ill and recovery is slow.) So let’s see how to handle the most problematic woman in RWBY....
I think whether or not you see Salem’s status as poorly-written victim of circumstance, a straight-up abuser, or uwu hit me mommy salami (and if it’s the latter gtfo my blog ew), is largely dependent on 1) how familiar you are with the tropes, 2) how familiar you are with the causes and effects of abuse, and 3) whether or not you see female-on-male abuse as being just as serious as male-on-female abuse.
Let me explain.
First, we do need to address Jinn’s throwaway line re: Salem as a being of ‘pure destruction’. Jinn is, emotionally, an unreliable narrator--we can tell this in how judgmental and harsh she is throughout ‘The Lost Fable’. She talks down to Ozpin, makes snide comments about both Salem and Ozma during her 3D slideshow, and is even shown to be smiling at his despair when giving Mustache!Ozma her ‘You can’t’ proclamation.
Mostly, we need to admit that Jinn exaggerated things.
Salem isn’t a being of pure destruction. Salem has agency. Salem didn’t do jack shit for centuries after her dip in the oozy jacuzzi. She was perfectly able to love and accept and create--the exact opposite of destroy--when she reunited with Ozma 2.0. Was she destroying and cruel? Yes! She treated the second wave of humanity like roaches, BUT she also adored and doted on her children and husband. It wasn’t until Ozma refused to let her use their children to repopulate the world with their magic babies (which, if you think about it, would have locked him and all his hosts into her breeding stock--and also possibly their children) that she went full-on kill mode. Which....isn’t all that different from what happened when the Gods refused to give Ozma back to her, before the dip in the Grimm goo. She tried to kill the Gods, the people she viewed as taking away what she wanted--just like Ozma did with their children. (He was absolutely right to remove them from that situation, but that’s a rant I’ve made before and won’t rehash.)
The Grimm pool didn’t incite that behavior. It was always inside her. It just amplified it.
So, the pools are influencing her, sure. But they aren’t the sole source of her behavior and I think RT was kind of clumsy in showing that. Mostly because they have a massively shitty track record in portraying male victims of abuse as anything other than butt monkeys (Ozpin, Oscar, Whitley) or people to be reviled (Adam). They’re happy to show female victims of abuse as survivors and as deserving of the sympathy that they (rightfully!) get, but when it comes to male victims of abuse? RT seems to think they deserve what they get, and I’m honestly sick of it.
Anyway, to get back on track: unfortunately, most of the FNDM doesn’t know how, or just don’t want, to think critically when it comes to RWBY. They go no further than the shallow spoonfed ‘what-you’re-told’ top layer without ever looking at what’s really shown. Frankly, initial author intent doesn’t matter if that’s not what ends up on paper or in the show. You might not have intended to portray abuse victims as being laughingstocks, but you did! You might not have intended to say character X is evil, but you did! And now there’s chaos everywhere and people are hurt emotionally and fans are at each other’s throats. Intent only matters insofar as that gets shown in the final piece, to me. Because the viewer isn’t a mind reader and what we may think of as intent could be miles away from the writer’s actual intent. Our assumption of intent is, more or less, as useless as a headcanon without confirmation.
So, back to my initial three points. Would Salem be more sympathetic if she was shown to be more torn, or heavily influenced by outside forces? That would depend on the person and what I outlined. Abuse is a heavy thing and something a lot of us have endured in our lifetimes. It’s a difficult thing to confront in media and do so in an appropriately sensitive way. So let’s go over my three conditions.
1) how familiar you are with the tropes: I say tropes, but I really mean ‘the way media presents abuse’. Abusers in real life and media tend to be manipulative and grandiose, and see themselves as doing nothing wrong, or doing what they do for the betterment of the survivor. Salem fits the classic abuser archetype pretty well, all things considered. And honestly, I could write an entire meta about how well Ozpin fits into the archetype of abuse survivor.
2) how familiar you are with the causes and effects of abuse: Abuse changes the survivor--quite literally, as abuse and PTSD causes parts of the wiring in the brain to be remapped and alters the brain’s neurotransmitter levels. This is particularly severe in childhood abuse. As for the abuser, they often come from an abusive background themselves--which Salem does, as we learn in Fairy Tales of Remnant. She grew up in a place where she was stripped of most everything, denied access to people and love by a cruel father, and latched on to Ozma as a result. She also, in the process of rescuing herself, led hundreds of men to their deaths and showed no remorse for doing so.
This is a partial explanation. It is in no way an excuse. In the end, there is always agency--free will--choice. And Salem made the choice to be abusive. She’s still making the choice now.
3) whether or not you see female-on-male abuse as being just as serious as male-on-female abuse: RT clearly doesn’t see this as a problem, from how they’ve shown it on screen. A good chunk of the FNDM doesn’t either. And this is a huge problem, because it should be taken seriously. People say it’s rare for female-on-male abuse to happen, but the truth is we don’t actually know how often it occurs due to massive underreporting and authorities not taking it seriously. Society treats it like a joke or blames the man, because men who are abused are seen as ‘weak’ or ‘sissies’. In RWBY, we have the dual issue of Salem being depicted as dominant, powerful, with full sex appeal on display, the classic ‘step on me mommy’ fetish dream; while Ozpin is depicted as gentle, cautious, a touch androgynous in look and with all the compassion and care that goes directly against the archetype of the strong male authority figure. I don’t think it’s unrelated that people are quick to blame Ozpin and absolve Salem, when looking at the character personality types.
I should probably add a forth one here: whether or not you yourself are an abuse survivor. I’ve come to notice since v6 that a lot of the people most upset over Salem’s actions are people who have survived (or are still affected by) domestic/familial abuse. I think that knowing exactly what it’s like to be in that position gives a certain... not nuance, but understanding. It also makes it a lot harder to watch, and to be neutral. I fully admit that I have a hard time being neutral on this subject because I am a survivor, and Salem’s actions remind me far too much of the abusive people I’ve known.
I do think it would have been interesting to get a Salem who was actively shown to be fighting against her ‘programming’, so to speak, and had hints of goodness still in her. But that’s not what we have, and that’s not honestly what we were ever given. What we were given was a traumatized woman who leaned into her backstory and let herself become a horrible person even before her dip in the Grimm pools, and who has ridden that train right into abuse territory. Is her story tragic? Yes! Do i feel bad for her? Yes, only inasmuch as I feel bad for, say, Adam. Adam had the hints of what had to have been an awful childhood too, but that doesn’t absolve him of his crimes or mean he deserves to have the redemption story. It’s nice to think that everyone deserves it, but they 1) have to acknowledge that what they did was wrong and 2) no matter how much they work to fix it, that doesn’t mean that the people they wronged has to forgive them. Forgiveness is not a guarantee nor should it be. They should want to be better people because they want to be better, not because they want to hook up with their dead lover.
So, is Salem culpable? Depends on whether or not you think she’s in control of her actions. To me, she’s absolutely culpable. Irredeemable? Mmm... maybe not? I don’t think I’d mind too much if she was shown about to start some kind of redemption, but leave Ozma/Ozpin/Oscar the fuck out of it. An abuse survivor should never, ever be required to redeem their abuser. That’s just sick. It’s like... if an alcoholic killed your kid, and the court turned around to the kid’s parents and said ‘oh hey, BTW, I know this guy killed your kid but you have to pay for his rehab and make sure he goes’. Gross, right? Same principle.
How you view Salem is up for debate. What we have isn’t that ambiguous, but... in the end, I’m not really even that interested in her story. I’m interested in seeing how her victims learn to thrive despite her.

Hello 😄 Could I ask for 4, 5, 9, 13 for the Hero of Oakvale Ask Game? And please tell me if I asked too many at once 😅 I rarely interact, but I really love reading your stories and headcanons 😁 / Have a good day 😀
Yay, thank you!! And there’s no such thing as too many :D
Doggo
Cole didn’t keep any pets during his adventures. For one, he couldn’t keep a pet in the Guild, and after leaving he didn’t see the point. He was too busy, he didn’t have time to look after a pet, and the time consumption would be annoying - basically he had a whole bunch of reasons for not having a pet of any kind. And on an unconscious level, it was also about not wanting another attachment to lose.
After dealing with Jack in the Northern Wastes, he ends up turning to the life of a farmer, which probably surprised a whole lot of people, and he ended up with all sorts of animals to tend to. Among them were his herding dogs, who definitely did not end up sleeping on top of him, no sir.
Sister
Cole always felt a little distant from Theresa when they were children. It’s not like they didn’t get along, they did, but from the outset it was obvious that she was different. She had her dreams, always keeping her just one step ahead of him, and in a way, Cole resented her a little because while she was showing the signs of being a Hero like their mother, he felt like he was only ever perfectly ordinary. Still, she looked out for him and if anyone ever tried to pick on Theresa for her oddness, Cole was always ready to leap to her defense. They played together, studied together, and shared an otherwise ordinary sibling bond.
On the day of the bandit raid, Theresa hid Cole in the forest before running off to try and lead the bandits away from him - it left him with an immense sense of guilt for surviving and for ever resenting her because she may well have died for him.
When Maze informed him that Theresa may have actually survived the raid, finding her became less of a goal and more of an obsession for Cole. He was blinded to all his other duties and responsibilities because his big sister, who risked her life to save his, might be out there. He barely even cared about Twinblade (supposedly) leading the raid on Oakvale despite that being his driving purpose in life. All he cared about was finding Theresa and ensuring her safety.
So, as you can imagine, he went through a whole rollercoaster of emotions when she reveals herself as the Bandit Seeress. After learning what had been done to her - watching their mother being tortured, having her eyes cut out for refusing to tell Jack where her brother was, being left for dead in the woods, and being raised at Twinblade’s side - something inside him... it didn’t quite break. But it changed. His sister had suffered and endured so much because she had prioritised his safety during the raid, and seeing her so different, so changed from the sweet, slightly odd young girl she used to be, that did something to him.
At times it was easy to be a little frustrated when working with Theresa, as she obviously knew things that she wasn’t telling, and Cole wished she’d just be more transparent with him, but he never pushed. His guilt constantly got the better of him when it came to her; she never blamed him or used it against him, she had chosen to save him and didn’t regret doing so, but he just constantly felt as if he had failed her despite having only been a child himself.
In the end, I don’t think Cole and Theresa saw each other again. They had gone in different directions as they tried to heal their lifetime of wounds. Theresa wanted to find a way to stop such terrible things happening ever again, while Cole was done being the Big Important Hero after defeating Jack for good. They saw the world from different perspectives, so it was... natural that they drifted as they did. Each kept the other in their thoughts always, but the separation was inevitable, if tragic.
Rival
Okay so I can’t be the only one who wanted to romance Whisper, right? Right?!
Whisper was perhaps the only person in the world that Cole truly felt comfortable around. His stern face and deadpan voice might never change, but Whisper had a way of drawing him out of his shell a little. When she learned about how he’d come to join the Guild, she’d tried to play at being nicer and not calling him Farm Boy... which was weird and uncomfortable for both of them, so it was a relief when Cole told her to stop.
She was always pushing him to his limits, challenging him to be better, and so he offered the same in turn, forcing her to adapt and push back, which resulted in both of them growing to be strong, fast, and adaptable as hell.
When the teams round at the Arena was announced, Cole was completely annoyed at the idea because he didn’t want to fight at some stranger’s side without having the ability to opt out. When it was Whisper that walked into the ring, he changed his mind there and then because he knows how Whisper fights and she know how he fights. Working together, they’re utterly deadly and the Arena challenge is in the bag. Which it is, as they fight together without rest...! Until Jack ordered them to fight to the death.
The moment Jack ordered that, Cole threw down his axe and refused to fight. He wasn’t going to kill Whisper. He had what he wanted from the Arena, he wasn’t giving it a drop more. When the crowd started jeering and demanding blood, Whisper suggested they make it an exhibition match so that no one tried to kill both of them to make up for his refusal. He grudgingly agreed, and the match played out and ending in Cole’s victory. Naturally it was followed by him telling Jack to go fuck himself and offering Whisper a healing potion before they hobbled out of the Arena together.
But it wasn’t until Whisper decided to leave Albion and return to the Southern Islands that it really hit Cole just how much she really meant to him. That she was the only friend he really had, the one person in the whole world who had even an inkling of what was going on in his head, and one of the very few people who ever gave a genuine damn about him. And she was leaving because she felt like she just couldn’t keep up with him. Add that to the list of things Cole feels guilty about.
Anyway, Cole saw her off at the docks and as she vanished over the horizon, he realised how alone he really was.
After stopping Jack in the Northern Wastes, Cole writes to Whisper about how he’s done with the guild and being a Hero, and right now he just needs a friend and if it’s okay if he comes to visit her in the Southern Isles. She tells him that he’d better, and that there’s a farm up for sale in her area if he’s interested.
Cole never returned to Albion after his departure, despite stories to the contrary. He was perfectly happy spending the rest of his years at Whisper’s side.
Family
Cole didn’t marry at all over the course of Fable. He was completely focused on avenging his family and his home, and he didn’t have the time, the patience or the desire.
Afterwards, he goes to visit Whisper in the Southern Isles, only to end up purchasing a farm and retiring from the guild because he realises that he’s done enough, and he wants to be able to do something with his life that doesn’t require fighting and killing unless it’s absolutely necessary. He ultimately marries Whisper and has some kids with her; three girls, with the older pair being twins. The twins spent their whole lives in the Southern Isles, following in their mother’s footsteps and protecting their people, while the youngest daughter decided to go to Albion and join the Guild.

FOR EVERY PERSON THAT SENDS ME ✭ I WILL GIVE YOU A RANDOM HEADCANON ABOUT MY MUSE.
Status: Accepting.
I count five, so...here we go.
1. Mordred sucks at lying.
Mordred’s terrible at poker, or any game that involves deception. She’s an awful liar and she has the worst poker face in the world. She’s the type to get immersed in everything she does and brute force it until she’s good at it, which doesn’t really work well in games like that.
2. Mordred is a mage without an education.
Rampage is more than just a skill she has in her fight in FGO. Much like Nightless is tied to Gawain’s feats in his fables and Unblessed Birth to Tristan’s, Rampage refers to the very physical consequences of Mordred’s boundless rage. Mordred inherited immense latent magical talent from her mother (Morgana La Fey is oft stated to be equal or even greater than Merlin as a sorcerer) and her father’s fey blessings. However, she was never tutored in its use or application, but the potential still exists, constantly raging inside her like a whirlpool. Every time the battle fury really sets in, the magic starts to bleed out of her.
For all doubters, I’ll remind you that Clarent was a holy sword on par with Excalibur and the original sword in the stone, and that Mordred corrupted it with her touch.
3. Mordred loves the pets.
Mordred is incredibly touch-starved. Morgana gave her plenty of physical affection but her mind rapidly rotted away and by the time she left the witch was near-totally in the grip of insanity. The sterile, chivalrous environment of Camelot made her believe that such a desire was unbecoming and weak so she suppresses it, but she really would melt like butter for some nice little behind-the-ear head scratches. She may also punch the shit out of you, but you oughtn’t be discouraged. That meant she probably liked it.
4. Mordred’s hatred for King Arthur is complicated.
Mordred’s fury at her father runs far deeper than just envy and spite, a simple tale of rejection and lust for power. My views on this are so long I could write a much longer post on it, but to keep it simple I’ll say that it’s also due to a warped inability to express her love for her. Mordred more than just wants approval, she wants to take away the burden from Arthur. Though she’s not really clever enough to have fully figured out WHY the crown weighs so heavily on her, she understands better than most how hard the king works, how much she suffers, the trials she endures daily. Mordred values responsibility and earnestly wants to relieve her father of these pains, but can’t do so without her consent. To Mordred, Arthur denying her the throne is not only foolish, but self-destructive beyond compare. Arthur tries to do everything by herself, and Mordred hates that. It’s just another way she can’t be useful and can’t be the perfect son she desperately wants to be.
5. Mordred is easy to bribe.
If you want to get along with Mordred, just feed her and listen to her. She’s a complicated girl, but not an unfriendly one. If you subtly remind her that she can be human too she’ll appreciate it heavily. You gotta be roundabout, though. Actions speak louder than words to her.

Pinehead Headcanons: Oscar’s Grimm Buddy.
Okay, but hear me out with this one, alright Pineheads? How many of you remember the Studio Ghilbi film called ‘Spirited Away’? I’d like to think that most of you know about it right?
Anyways, remember the character called No Face---the faceless spirit that befriended the main heroine of the movie.
Well this squiggle meister has been thinking. Back during V5’s runtime, when I first proposed the theory of a potential Dark Domain Arc where Ruby and Oscar become prisoners of Salem and are forced to work together to escape her dark world on their own, I also shared a theory about Oscar possibly befriending a Grimm or gaining a pet Grimm while in the Dark Domain.
This headcanon began with the idea of what if…Oscar befriended a lone Beowolf Grimm and this creature basically becomes his Toto, acting as a means of transport and protection for him and Ruby during their trek across the Land of Darkness.
This concept later evolved into my musing on Oscar becoming the RWBY equivalent of the Golden Cap from the Wizard of Oz and gaining the power to gain control of the Winged Beringels we saw in V6.
Now I have another ‘Oscar Befriends A Grimm’ idea that plays into my alternate Dark Domain headcanon where Oscar is the only one taken to Salem and she imprisons him a lonely tower much like the one she was confined to centuries ago.
The idea I have in my head is that, should Salem take Oscar, she wouldn’t imprison him just to torture him physically with violence and manipulation or any kind of dark spells. Oh no! By my headcanons, I feel Salem would torture Oscar with something far worse than any kind of physical pain---loneliness.
I have a feeling that Salem would force Oscar to endure what she went through while locked away in her tower. Complete isolation. Separating him far away from the people he knew and love in an abandoned part of the Dark Domain that not even Salem would go by herself. She wouldn’t keep Oscar in her castle. She’d keep him away. Far away from anything remotely resembling human interaction and contact. Salem would desire for the young farm boy and Ozma incarnate to feel every bit of desperation and longing for freedom that she suffered through while wasting away in that tower of hers for who knows how long.
One thing I noted from the Lost Fable is that when Salem was introduced in her backstory, she seemed well-taken care of despite being locked away by her father. This led me to believe that Salem’s father---the man who trapped her in the first place---must have possibly enchanted the tower in such a way that not only does it prevent intruders from entering but additionally cater to Salem’s every need. I figured Salem had everything she needed to survive up in her tower apart from the one thing she desired most---companionship and the freedom to see the outside world once more.
Where I’m going with this is that, should Oscar be taken to Salem, her objective wouldn’t be to hurt the boy. On the contrary, despite being her clear prisoner, not one day in his tower was Oscar left to starve and slowly wither away in his lonely tower. Instead, he was fed regularly with actual human food that wasn’t a farce. He wasn’t left to grovel in his own filth nor did he sleep on the cold dirt. Instead his chamber was lavished with everything Oscar would need to make himself perfectly comfortable---a warm bed and a wardrobe of fine robes; much like the one Ozma wore during in his lifetime as Diggs.
You might ask yourself
However, there were quite a few twists to all of this proclaimed comfort. For starters, as mentioned Oscar was left alone, void of any human interaction. His only companions were the Grimm that Salem left in his care to ensure his captivity inclusive of one particular humanoid Grimm that looked after Oscar; like a caretaker. This Grimm’s job was to ensure that Oscar was well taken care of. Not only did this creature feed Oscar, whether he was willing to eat or not, but it also clothed him, bathed him but it even watched him carefully like he was sleeping. This creature never left Oscar’s side. Oscar wasn’t even allowed to do his business in peace without this creature standing within a few feet of him; watching his every move with his hovering red eyes. To think, this creature was Oscar’s main source of company during his imprisonment and the routine on constantly being watched over by this hideous faceless monster ultimately began to wear on him after sometime.
And should Oscar dare try and escape, this creature would hunt him down and forcibly drag him back to his tower; kicking and screaming. During his earlier days of his imprisonment, it became almost like a game of some kind between Oscar and this creature. A game of cat and mouse where Oscar would come up with clever ways to outsmart the creature. Let’s say, for the first week of his imprisonment, Oscar spent it trying to escape and with each failed attempt he made it a little closer to the door. A little closer to freedom.
Until one day, he managed to trap the creature and make it out the door, sprinting outside. But what Oscar found outside drained every bit of hope he had left.
Let’s say, from within his tower, Oscar has no clue of what his surroundings were. He never saw where he was prisoned because after he was taken from Atlas, he was knocked unconscious and when he finally came to, he was already inside the tower within the room he would be confined to.
The idea I have is that Oscar’s tower is positioned on a lonely hunk of rock in the middle of giant Grimm Pool.
So even if Oscar tried to escape on foot, he wouldn’t get very far.
I also had this idea of Salem giving Oscar an incentive to be a good boy’ and stay in his castle. A part of me wants to play with the concept of…what if…during the Fall of Atlas; Salem and her forces managed to successfully abduct a portion of the kingdom’s populace, holding them all hostages within the Dark Domain.
Unbeknownst to him, Oscar was crowned the ‘King’ of these said innocent prisoners. Therefore, their overall care and happiness was mainly dependent on his. So let’s say, there was a time during his captivity when Oscar refused to eat out of frustration of what Salem had done. So because of this, all those imprisoned Atlesians---adults as well as children were starved for that particular day he chose not to eat.
After all, if the king doesn’t get to eat then neither should his people, right? And all those times Oscar tried to escape and somehow went unpunished for his endeavors, well…someone else had to pay for his actions. I remember browsing through screenshots of an episode of the Walking Dead where there was some hilltop where someone had murdered characters important to the main cast and left their decapitated heads on display for them to see. I haven’t watched TWD since S3 admittedly but I did take a look at some of the events of some of its later seasons and this is one that I remembered.
So picture, something like that with Oscar’s situation where upon his escape attempt from the castle, he stumbles upon a graveyard littered with bodies of captured Atlesians, adults as well as children, who all paid the price for Oscar’s treason in his place.
Imagine Oscar learning of this from a malicious Salem who sent one of her Seers to reveal this little tidbit to him. People; innocent people, were being killed because of him. While he had selfishly been secure his own freedom, others were subjected to brutal punishment for his own actions and thus, would continue to pay for him unless he learned to behave.
So…Oscar has no choice but to behave. Oscar submits to his fate as Salem’s eternal prisoner and never dared try and escape again. He became to compliant King of Prisoners so that his fellow captive ‘subjects’ were never forced to suffer further on his behalf. And by accepting his captivity, Oscar additionally submitted to the feelings of depression, loneliness and hopelessness that came with it.
I know this concept is tad dark but…I like it since it plays into the manipulative side of Salem. So let’s roll with it for now for the sake of this headcanon of mine.
Anyways, going off of that, remember that Grimm I spoke of before? Imagine if…while imprisoned, Salem crafts and assigns a special kind of Grimm to be Oscar’s caretaker. This Grimm was christened the Kaonashi Grimm---a faceless Grimm with the power of mimicry enabling it to change its form at will by stealing the form and abilities of anything it consumes.
Remember how in Spirited Away, No Face would inherit the personality and voice of the Bathhouse spirits in consumed? That’s how I envision the Kaonashi Grimm to be. It can take the form of anything if consumes and this is inclusive of other types of Grimm. After it was created, I picture Salem feeding it different kinds of Grimm to test its abilities to change into these other Grimm and mimic their abilities.
So the Kaonashi can take the form of a Nevermore, Beowulf, Ursa, Geist, among other Grimm and can even mimic the special abilities known to said Grimm. I picture the Kaonashi being a very powerful and profoundly intelligent Grimm---the rarest Salem has ever made. Thus it is the only one of its kind. And it is this particular Grimm that Salem puts to live and stand guard over her special prisoner.
How does the Kaonashi know how to cook food…well…it mimics the abilities of the things it eats, right? So feel sorry for the poor experienced human chef that became this thing’s lunch so it can know how to prepare human food.
Like I mentioned earlier, as his caretaker, the Kaonashi cares for Oscar. Oscar is barely allowed to do much of anything on his own. The Kaonashi feeds him (and makes sure he eats), bathes him and for any other activity that Oscar must do on his own, it watches him with keen eyes.
This creature is completely at Oscar’s beck and call. After all, its sole purpose to ensure that he’s a happy little prisoner. And should the Kaonashi fail in its duties, Salem is quick to punish it for its failure. Since the Seer Grimm acts like Salem’s eyes and ears and has been seen to report back to her from time to time, I have this idea of Salem sending a Seer to check in on the Kaonashi watching over Oscar and should the creature be shown to be failing, Salem would chastise it through the Seer Grimm.
Like I’m picturing Oscar being asleep on night in his prison room only to be awakened by the painful screenching wails of the Kaonashi being brutally beaten; horrified by the sound. The next morning, when the Kaonashi comes up to bring Oscar his breakfast, the farm boy would be horrified to discover it limping with scratches embedded in the Kaonashi’s skin and mask.
Not only were the abducted Atlesians being punished for Oscar but so was the Kaonashi. Salem wasn’t even merciful to her own Grimm creations. After seeing the abuse the creature endured for his sake, this causes Oscar to warm up lightly to it.
At first he only tolerated the Kaonashi, silently hating its company. But after some time, Oscar started to chum up to it. Perhaps at this point in time, Oscar is fully merged with Ozpin so he no longer has the old wizard in his mind to guide him.
So when captured by Salem, it’s just Oscar alone mostly. Well him and the Kaonashi Grimm who Oscar tries to befriend. Even talk to it sometimes when loneliness got the better of him.
Of course it never talked back since it was a Grimm and Grimm lack the ability to speak. At least, that was the impression Oscar had until, one night after who knows how long, when he was preparing to rest and the Kaonashi was putting him to bed.
Out of his newfound courtesy toward the Kaonashi, Oscar tells it goodnight and to his surprise, it answers him; mimicking the words ‘goodnight’ in a raspy voice.
Oscar: You…you can talk?
Kaonashi: …Talk? Talk… no.
Oscar: Wait…you understand me?
Kaonashi: …Understand, yes.
Oscar: How come you’ve never spoken to me before?
Kaonashi: …Understand, yes. Talk, no….Speak…little?
Oscar: I see. I guess you don’t know a lot of words, don’t you?
Kaonashi: …A lot of words, no.
Oscar: *chuckles* Well I guess we’re going to have to change that. I’m not much of talker myself but I’ve become increasingly chatty these days. *laughs lightly* Do you have a name?
Kaonashi: …Name?
Oscar: Yeah, what do I call you?
Kaonashi: …Name, no.
Oscar: No…name?
Kaonashi: …No.
Oscar: Well, I guess that’s what I’ll call you from now on. No-Name. I think it suits you.
Imagine an exchange like that. I know the possibility of No-Name---a Kaonashi or ‘No Face’ inspired Grimm in RWBY is slim.
Nonetheless, I like it a lot. Unlike most folks who probably saw Spirited Away when they were young, I didn’t see it for the first time until a couple years back and even now, I can recall No-Face being my favourite most memorable characters from the film. He was a character that said very little but I absolutely adored him every time I saw him on screen.
If we ever got a Grimm in RWBY that pays homage to that character, I’d be floored. And should Oscar have a special connection to said Grimm, I’d be even happier. I am fully onboard with the headcanon of Oscar sharing an unlikely friendship with a Grimm especially if it’s a No-Facef from Spirted Away inspired Grimm.
While I feel like the likelihood of Oscar befriending the Alpha of the Winged Beringels is a better possibility given the call back to the Wizard of Oz; nonetheless, I’m gonna cherish my No-Face inspired Grimm who become Oscar’s Grimm buddy.
Ain’t gonna happen but…let me have this headcanon, okay.

My dear Prince Lotor, I wanted to thank you so, so much for the existance of your wonderful blog. It (and you) has given me so much incredible insight, from fun headcanons to safe sex practices and everything in between. But most of all, you showed me that I am valid in a time that I needed it most. You taught me that the abuse I have endured was never my fault; that I can remain strong and retain hope that things will get better; and most of all, that I am still worthy of love. Seeing as the past few months have been the begining of fully admitting (to myself as well as others) that what I regularly endure is in fact abuse, and dealing with everything that implies… frankly, I could not have discovered this blog at a better time. I’m not sure if you have heard of the Earth fable of the straw that broke the camel’s back, but quite frankly that was where I was at. I felt so hopeless, trapped in a home where nobody cared with no means or resources to leave and nobody to truly confide in. Even the smallest things were beginning to set me on edge- a raised voice or heavy footsteps often would send me into a panic. And one night, just a few weeks ago, I had to barricade myself in my room out of fear for my own safety. I was most likely being paranoid- my parents’ abuse has never truly crossed into the physical realm; but I couldn’t be sure. That night was one of the most terrifying of my life… unable to sleep, unsure if the dresser against my door would hold, unknowing of what the morning would bring. I spent that night pouring through your blog, and I somehow felt like I wasn’t alone. Like there was hope. And when I finally managed to fall asleep, it was while pretending I was in your arms. The next morning, I began the long process of planning to move out- knowing it might take years, but determined to better my situation. You and this blog have done so very much for me (and, I assume, many other survivors as well) and it means the universe to me. You gave me hope when I thought there was none. And for that, you have my eternal gratitude. All my affection, GiroGirl723

ooh like what! like what!?
“... ‘Mal’ was rather commonly spoken of. The other monikers I have gained over the centuries were, of course: ‘The God of Chaos & Destruction’, ‘Chaos Incarnate’, among many others. None I have the desire to go over.”

do you have any nicknames!?
What a-- bizarre question to simply blurt out. Without context, or prior conversation.
Malpercio paused, and considered, before replying,
“Yes. I suppose I have a few.”

That's a neat sword! Where did you get it??
“Off the corpse of a knight that tried to kill me.” his answer is short, to the point. Malpercio does not seem to want to divulge much more of that incident, nor of those memories. Not matter how many centuries had passed him by.
