It wasn't often that America got Heroes from other states, usually it was a temp agency thing- or they were passing through mostly. Desmond and his Mom's agency was getting a really skilled hero, someone on the level of Japan's level 1 hero! So everyone was getting everything all dolled up for the time being.

Desmond was the same age as this hero, called themselves Deku but Izuka was a tough cookie, and honestly? this was great help after losing Stars and Stripes.

Here Des was waiting for the airplane to drop off Japan's toughest.

"Ah Izuka over here, your ride awaits." Desmond waved her down, in his casual purple shirt and black pants he smiled at her approaching. "Lemme grab your bags, did you enjoy your flight?" Des asked plainly.

Bath or Shower?:

Hws Prussia: Shower- specifically a medium or cold temperature one, idk why I just get that energy. He also takes at least one shower a day, usually more.

Hws England: Bath- he likes the relaxation factor, has perfected the art of reading in a bath without ruining the book.

Hws Germany: Shower- man likes efficiency, though I do feel like he could enjoy the occasional bath

Hws France: Bath- obviously, his baths are fully kitted out with bubbles, salts, candles, face mask… it’s a whole experience.

Hws America: Shower- His showers are quick, he always stays in the bath too long watching tv or something and then feels drained afterwards.

I love it so much, its unfortunately got some rough spots especially at the start with the character daiya. But as for the story at whole its really great

Its about a man who wakes up with no memories of who he is, where he came from, or why he was buried in the dirt. It's about the journey of this man as he discovers who he was to those around him before he lost his memories. It's about a man deciding who he wants to be in an ocean of perspectives of his character from others.

It's about family and the unbreakable bond with your mother no matter where you go and what happens. Even if that means doing things that no one else will understand or even hate you for doing.

Like, yknow that one post about “throw knives at it all you want: you still printed a photo of them out and put it in your wall”? It’s like that. You just Know that their mind is consumed every waking moment by this person and it doesn’t make any sense for them at that point to not have at least a little Fruity beneath all the hateful bile. You spend your time staring at their face seething. Gazing into their eyes seething. Holding their face between your hands wondering what it would feel like to snap their neck, seething. Staring at their mou- how far do I gotta go before you get the idea here? so yea anyway this is why I think Endeavor is the way he is about All Might 👍

My dad has mentioned wanting to go to Israel and honestly, I'd go with him if that were ever to happen. I have very mixed thoughts about what I want, but if I go to a different country, I'd probably only really want to go to Israel, especially because I'm using most of my language study time on Hebrew (though I'd also go to Germany with my dad because he really wants to go there again and... we're also German, so). There are a lot of things I'd want to collect from Israel, too... 🙏

when he pulls him out of the gulag, so many of soap’s new behaviours click into place. things that never made sense to him as a natural progression of who soap was, that aren't just a product of walling himself off and turning his heart to stone

his soap never smoked. always complained when ghost lit up about the damage it did to the lungs, how it would slow him down in the long run

his john, always trying to be the best soldier

that's why seeing him suck on a cigar like it's second nature is so jarring. even more so when he'd only take a few puffs; enough for a taste and to make smoke coil through the air around him. always the same brand, always left to burn down in his fingers

then ghost sees him gift his cigar box to price, something that took pride of place on his desk practically before the man clears medical and seeing the way they both relax as he sets a match to one makes him realise

in an effort to run away from soap, john had tried to mould himself into price

god forbid ghost ever reads soap's journal. he's heard the "what the hell kind of name is soap” story from him, of the first time he'd ever met the captain and if he ever saw his words echoed in john's hand? saw just how far the man had wormed his way, so deep into him that he was speaking with his tongue?

price's monologues, making himself larger than life all in an effort to make this shitstorm feel more grand than just another war they're all trying to live through, acting like he’s being profound when he’s really just dodging anyone that questions him

letting price take roach out from under his wing like soap didn't identify with the kid the second he saw him, all of his self-deprecative habits hitting tenfold as he blames himself for every stray bullet; as if price could've plucked them from the very sky

the way soap steps back without a word of protest to let price command the team he handpicked and price just accepting? like his years of leadership mean nothing, like john means nothing after trying so hard to follow in his footsteps, just to be tossed aside

the rage ghost would feel at his indifference, as if soap’s behaviour is to be expected and not a series of red flags. add the nuke mission and his actions during and after shepherd’s betrayal? ghost would despise him

This is my warrior cats blog but it's also my general xenofiction blog, and I'm reading various middle grade - young adult xenofiction books that I either haven't read or read a long time ago and I just finished my reread of Wolves of the Beyond.

And there are a lot of elements I could talk about (I forgot just how bleak these books are) but instead I'm going to focus on one weird detail:

Were we supposed to know who Maud's father was?

Like they make a point to say her father must have had red fur, and maybe I just wasn't paying attention but I don't remember that many red wolves? I checked the wiki but they don't know either, and there aren't many other red wolves listed, and the red wolves (or reddish ones) that are there don't make much sense for Banja. There's a couple with unknown fur colors, but that's not satisfying.

I remember as a kid (and now during my reread) thinking Rags was going to be her father, but when he shows up they don't seem to know each other?

And it's possible it's not meant to be anything, or it was from a plotline that got scrapped. It's just the specific detail of her father must have been red because her fur is too red for him to have had any other fur color. That's just a weird amount of detail for it to be meaningless. Like calling out his fur color instead of just going oh I wonder who her dad was.

The timing was around the same time Rags was introduced, which makes me think he was supposed to be her father and it got scrapped at some point.

I got two duds I can use one to solidify him and another to freeze him then use one of the web bombs Connor gave me." Des deliberated mostly to himself, with a plan set in mind he'd get it all in motion.
