• does litterly anything and EVERYTHING to try and impress you. Whether it just be chugging a whole can of soda without burping, he does it just to earn your praise. (He is also alittle insecure,,, make sure he knows how amazing he is ♡)

• he loves physical affection, atleast just holding your hand or tackling you into a hug to cuddle. But i also think he would use words of affirmation. ILL BE REAL I DIDNT PUT MUCH THOUGHT INTO A REASONABLE BACK STORY but bcuz shes a self insert i had to make a mention for my bestie who can EASILY be in the pressure universe fr <3

Pre-lockdown: I think itd be unique that if Sebastian was used to give humans gills then Phanny can be used to find immortality cuz who doesnt love when a corrupt corporate entity tries to find the cure for death, happens all the time lol. I say for the important parts shes fused with an immortal jellyfish, my favorite jelly which im extreme jelly of 😼😼😼😼, and i would say that its possible that she could live forever IN THEORY with the dna of that jelly but that would have to be tested lmaooo.

I believe because shes also able bodied (mostly) she would be given similar jobs as Sebastian so shes not depressed, rotting, or lashing out. Not sure if they'd work together but she's observant and being a psychologist, she def psychoanalyzing the hell outta everybody in the facility out of boredom. She seems happy but ofc its a coping mech to make the best out of the absolute horrors around her, still emotional unstable and freaks tf out frequently. Once Sebastian frees everybody, she's free to roam and sees what Sebastian is doing. She asks to assist him in his goal but she only plays a part once Seb handles BIDNESS on land during lockdown. Post lockdown she scavenges for data and whatever here and there but shes mostly left alone or out of most of his operation, yk,,,working with Mr Lopee and all. She really tries to get close with Sebastian (despite emphasizing hes a married man, YEAH SURE BUDDY YOU'RE LIKE 32, WHATEVER MAKES U FEEL BETTER💀) and being the drama fiend i am, i think having a "moment of weakness" would lead to their complex semi romantic possibly toxic dynamic.

Fight: And as i did my research its highly debatable if Sebastian is telling pAInter the truth about getting them both out. Phanny would believe this without question cuz if he can make a plan and has all these skills and resources, he should be able to take everyone (this also includes other peoples inserts and ocs who are experiments because it makes the setting more lively and interesting). I even thought of a cool ass line my homie thought was cold asf for argument dialogue between Phanny and Seb about taking everyone back up to the surface.

Just to summarize: Phanny mentions how noble Seb is after making progress with his escape plan, assuming that he'll take at least as many people as possible including Phanny. Sebastian at this point is already trying to push her away post weakness moment and he know damn well he's just doing this for himself and never accounted to leave w/ a whole damn facility of sentient experiments. He just wanna see his mom again and hes already working in private with Mr Lopee i mean this is a one man escape plan. This ofc shatters Phanny cuz from what hes saying, nobody and he mean NOBODY is getting out of here with him. Hes not a savior and hes not responsible for people he dont even know or fuck with like tf?? And Phannys like OKAY? Nobody's asking you to be JESUS but can you at least be Moses?? Free us so we can all get justice! Explain why you can't take a handful and come back once u take this damn company down?? What about your promise to pAInter? To ME.

Ofc it ends in a big brawl, think Mark getting his shit rocked by his own dad (Omniman from invincible) and they just have this heartbreaking dialogue and they split ways.

Post fight + breakdown: After this, Phanny is basically losing it. I even have a vision for this if it was actually in game and she was an actual character with weight to the gameplay. Like crying and wailing in the vents and pipes, shit breaking, Phanny not being seen for a majority of the game until shes physically stopping u from going through doors and rushing the player. Not to kill them, she loves the expendables and protects them but if she really has to if it means Sebastian can get out/she gets to see another day then...

Plus i drew what that would look like in my last post where shes just standing in the dark in the corner blocking the door. Even if shes not blocking the door she's obviously going through something and can't be interacted with, she just follows the player with her eyes and breathes heavily. If its not that then shes crying by the the water and interacting with her gets the player a DEVIOUS side eye or no response.

Pre-breakdown + if she were actually in the game: I can't really explain why she would help the expendables WITHOUT knowing removing the crystal will indirectly end their lives, i actually havent evaluated that yet but shes friendly to expendables, takes free trade in exchange for shiny objects, and can be seen hanging out with or talking to Sebastian, or passing by in the water/halls. She's capable of killing the player entirely by accident due to her tentacles hanging from the ceiling which she chills in and dying to her makes her scream or apologize (before Sebastian says something snarky) since shes strictly against killing and never willing.

Announcing ur presence helps her know shes in the way. Typical interactive npc shenanigans. Maybe even saving expendables from certain attacks but these are rare interactions in the game. She's overall friendly and if she were real, she'd prolly be a fandom fave (ofc not on Sebastian's level, LETS BE HUMBLE YALL😭) because shes so polite and her tragedy comes near the end where the player isnt even aware of how she became hostile in just a few hours of the run. Her story would hardly happen in game and itd be one of those things a creator would have to mention outside of their game for fans to know abt yk?

Its typical for creators to just drop the craziest lore ever about a character but they're purposefully vague or literally like oh yeah time constraints so we scrapped it lol.

Wukong identifies with Just a Man (not that he'll admit it).

Macaque likes Ruthlessness because he's an emo little stinker.

Sandy likes Open Arms (of course).

Tang and Red Son like Warrior of the Mind.

Pigsy really thinks the monkeys should take Luck Runs Out to heart.

Mei likes Keep Your friends close (a fun bop that belies danger underneath, just like her).

I have to be careful binging a new muscial (or in this case Saga) cus I end up playing each song on loop for hours. Opinions might change once the full and finished versions of later sagas are released.

Im imagining the gang likely sees/listens to Epic on the reccomendation of MK (who's currently on a Greek Mythology hyperfixation), and he gets them all to watch the full play - maybe in the future as a irl performance or film.

"Legendary" is SUCH an MK song. Both him and Telemachus growing up with the stories of someone dear to them and wanting to replicate their success. I could also see him really liking "Warrior of the Mind" with the theme of "some nobody" gaining the favor of a god (reminds you of anyone?) + SWK is infamously the personification of The Mind in Jttw so its a bonus. MK is smiling evily whenever a harsh plot twist occurs and his fam are shocked silent. >:3

Sun Wukong feels targeted personally with how many of the Epic songs remind him of his past. Ofc he starts crying halfway through "Horse and the Infant", and is inconsolable during "Just A Man" - verbally yelling "NO!" at the end. And like Nezha and Sandy is *silent* during Posideon's songs. Is super jazzed during the triumphant Ithaca Saga though! And feels mega catharic during "King" when Odysseus proves that he still rules to the suitors! He tries his best to hide how much the muscial is affecting him.

Macaque is a canon theatre Nerd - so he's already listened to the musical multiple times, but he's uber excited to see the live performance (and secretly bond with his found fam). Is rocking out during "Ruthlessness" and "Done For" in particular, so much so that he's fidgeting and dancing within his seat. He also vibes with "No Longer You" as someone with powers of prophecy. Is really amazed how much Wukong gets into the musical, but in retrospect understands *why*. Him and Wukong accidentally share a glance during "Would You Fall In Love With Me Again" and it gets a little awkward afterwards.

Mei is similarly excited to see anything with her bestie, so she tried her best not hear/see any spoilers ("it's a centuries' old story Mei" "Ssssh!! Dont tell me!"). She was shooketh by how hard the muscial goes. "Keep Your Friends Close" is her fave based on beat alone. She gets delightedly scared and amazed by consistent horse imagery used with Posideon (shameless link to my fave Animatic of "Ruthlessness").

Tang loves himself some historical and mythological adaptations, and is estatic that MK has given him an excuse to go see one! He's not as familar with Hellenic mytholgy as he is with Hindu-Chinese, but he knows enough lore to make the pog-champ face at every foreshadowing/reference. "Warrior of the Mind" really gets to him as a song about valuing your smarts. He also feels really empathetic for Calypso.

Pigsy only went cus Tang begged him. He feels super lost by the deep Greek lore he's missing, but he can get Odysseus's whole thing with trying to get home - but he def identifies more with Eurylochus. "Luck Runs Out" proves this to him. Later on he feels that the second-in-command was justified in having the soldiers rebel against Odysseus after so many losses (who wouldn't after losing all their friends?). Audibly gasps at the end of "Just A Man" - cus who would just do that!? Is a little freaked out by Circe turning the Athenian's into pigs - Eurylochus is depicted as partly-transformed, played by a pig-demon actor who was in super convincing human makeup in the previous sagas. He also gets protective feelings by-proxy seeing Telemachus's situation since the prince reminds him of MK. Is surprised by how much he likes the musical!

Sandy feels betrayed. This isn't like Disney Hercules at all! He does really enjoy Polites message in "Open Arms" and the later moments when the hopeful soldier's outlook is proven correct. He's a little overwhelmed at points though - he get eerily quiet during Posideon's scenes. He sobs joyfully when Odysseus finally makes it home and reunites with his family! :')

Because of this really good animatic/almost child-like depiction of Aelous by gigi; I can def see "Keep Your Friends Close" being Nezha's fave. It reminds Nezha of when he was far more carefree + has a solid lesson on about trust/"forbidden fruit". He also enjoys the more march-like tune of "Survive". He does however, freeze when he listens to Posideon's songs "Ruthlessness" and "Get in the Water" - he has been on the bad end of a sea god before and is quietly shtting himself for Odysseus.

Red Son goes in feeling like he could have stayed at home listening to the musical on his phone while working on a car instead. He is however blown away by the heavy themes and performances, especially "Warrior of the Mind" and Telemachus's situation - a prince forced to grow up fatherless and protecting his mother from suitors due to his dad pissing off a higher power? Hello?? Accidentally shrieks "YES!!!" when Athena becomes Telemachus's mentor/friend after "Little Wolf".

Princess Iron Fan I could see loving any song including Penelope (she empathizes with the Queen's situation hard), but unexpectedly enjoys "Keep Your Friends Close" - she's a fellow Wind Goddess at her core. It also reminds her of her not-so-little-anymore nephew.

DBK on the flip side loves the heavier songs like "Polyphemus" and "Ruthlessness". This man is a Posedion apologist. He does feels bad for Odysseus by the end though - man just wants to get back to his wife and kid dammit!

Bonus: The Spider Gang are watching the bootleg and Spider Queen agrees with Circe's whole girlboss attitude especially "Puppeteer". Scorpion Queen is Calypso in "Not Sorry For Loving You".

And he’s worried that you’re feeling uncomfortable too. It doesn’t look like it, not really. But you never know.

His once wide eyes in search for you suddenly narrows when he saw you talking to someone. When he realised who that person was, his narrow eyes became glares.

Its Steve. Oh, sweet collage friend Steve.

Steve’s nice, sure. He’s polite, he makes you laugh, but Steve also has a big fat crush on you. Everyone knows that. Its so blantly obvious.

Which is totally not a problem. Its not like Trent has the crush on you too. (definitely not a lie.)

“What’s going on with you?” Virgil asked, a teasing tone already coating his voice.

For once that night, Trent averted his gaze away from you, to his friend.

“What?”

Hendo piped out, “You have been staring at them for a while.” nudging to yours and Steve’s direction.

Trent glanced over to you both, “No, I haven’t.” he denied.

“Sure.” Virgil laughed, “You should tell Y/N how you feel y’know.”

“What?”

“Mate, everyone knows already.” Virgil sent him a sympathetic look, “Should be quick though, seems like you’re not the only one.” he raised his eyebrows.

Trent glanced to where you stand before dropping his head. “I don’t have a chance.” he scoffed, “Look at ‘em! They’re practically giving each other heart eyes.”

Hendo and Virgil both looked at each other with the same look. Is Trent dumb?

“What do you think she sees in him anyway?” he huffed out, crossing his arms across his chest.

“Do you know why she’s with him and not you right now?”

Trent looked at Hendo, waiting him to continue, “Because he’s actually is making effort to show her he’s interested.”

Trent sighed, he knew deep down that his friends were right.

Robbo came out of nowhere, slapping his back, “What you waiting tor then?! Go get her!”

Trent winced at the sudden impact, “Were you eavesdropping?”

Robbo shrugged his shoulders, “Of course I was. Go!”

He stood up, wiping his sweaty hands on his pants, already walking towards your direction.

“Hi.”

You turned your head at his voice, a smile lighting up your face. “Hey!”

Steve nodded his head along in greeting. Shoulder slumped in disappointment at the intrusion.

You furrow your eyebrows at Trent when you noticed how nervous he looked, “You okay?” you asked, head tilting to the side in concern, and Trent thinks that its illegal to look that pretty.

Trent scratched the back of his neck, choosing to focus on the necklace that was around yours. The one that he bought for you that he has a matching bracelet of and that gave him the push of confidence he needed.

“Can I talk to you for a bit?”

“Okay.” you read his body language, nodding your head in understanding, “Sorry, Steve. I’ll see you next time?” you apologised, not even waiting for Steve to reply before linking your pinkies together with Trent and pulling him away.

As you guys walk away Trent couldn’t help but look back to Steve. He saw that Steve had a smirk on his face as if to say ‘You won.’ and Trent involuntarily flushed.

You sneaked Trent into the closest room available which turned out to be a bathroom. You walked in, locking the room for extra privacy before facing him. “So? What did you wanna talk about?”

Trent finally made eye contact with you and the sad look he’s wearing only concerns you more.

“I just—“ he stumbles, eyes nervously flickering all over your face, why are you glowing? “I was just wondering—“ damn it, why can’t he say anything?

Your doe eyes stared back at him, round and curious and Trent has to fight the urge to kiss you silly.

A thick silence blanketed you both as you waited for Trent to speak. You have enough patience, it wasn’t like you were dreading to go back to the party. It was getting boring — no offence to Steve— you just wanted to stay with Trent in all honesty. So being a room with him, although small, wasn’t all that bad.

“Hello? Is anyone in there?”

A sudden banging sound echoed the bathroom, breaking your eye contact.

“Come on then! I need to piss!”

Trent sighed, sending you a small smile. He scooted his fingers close to yours, almost hesitating to intertwine your fingers together. That made you furrow your eyebrows, because you both are always touchy and comfortable with each other. But you didn’t want to push him, he looks like he was contemplating something in his mind.

Trent retracted his hand back, not noticing the look of hurt flashing across your face. He opened the door, hand ghosting behind your back and guiding you out.

The person waiting outside the bathroom sent you and Trent an unamused look. He rolled his eyes and scoffed as he ran into the toilet. Muttering some profanities under his breath.

As you both walked outside, Trent was immediately whisked away by his teammates. He sent you an apologetic look. You mouthed a ‘Later.’ to him to which he replied with a smile, before turning around to converse with them.

You hated the way that your heart twisted. Is he okay? Did you do something wrong? Why did he look so sad?

Sure, you have been friends for a long time, but it took a while for him to open up. He was reserved, and a little shy, so when he let you see a glimpse of his true self you were elevated. You are not going to mess this up.

Even if you have to bury your feelings to do it.

It has been five days since the last time you spoke to Trent.

You knew he was busy, so you didn’t want to let that bother you, but you couldn’t help it.

If he was busy and he knew that he won’t be able to contact you for a bit, he would tell you beforehand. You were getting restless, so you contacted his brother, asking him if he’s home.

That’s how you ended up here, at the front door of his house. Marcel was the one who invited you in and when he saw you, he immediately knew who you’re here for.

“He’s in his room.” Marcel informed, a teasing smirk on his face.

You shyly nodded your head, maybe this is a bit much, “Thanks.

You knocked on Trent’s door, countless of thoughts ringing in your head, maybe this is over the top. Should you be doing this? What if he’s ignoring you? Is this his hint that he doesn’t want to be your friend anymore?

You were getting ready to bail, when the door opened. Revealing the person you were waiting to see.

“Y/N?” His eyes widen as they meet yours, as he took off his headphones as it blasted music, looking at you in confusion. “What you doin’ here?”

You thickly swallowed, hands shaking in nervousness. “Uh, I was worried if you were okay, cause you weren’t really responding to my messages, and I feel like we haven’t really talked. But now, I’m just realising that maybe you were ignoring me and I don’t know how to take a hint—“

His warm hand engulfed around your wrist, bringing you inside his room. Your startled figure almost made you topple over, but you quickly regained your balance. “Am I getting kidnapped?”

Trent looked amused when he looks at you, the face that he always wears when he’s with you. You’re happy that didn’t change.

“Kidnap you? In my house? That you came to?”

“Anything is possible!”

Trent chuckled. The atmosphere felt a little lighter than before you walked in and you hoped he doesn’t want to stop being friends with you.

Because you really liked being friends with him.

Maybe a little too much.

“So?”

“So?”

You stared at him with wide eyes, “What’s going on with you?” you asked, tone softening when you took notice of the bags under his eyes. “Did you get enough sleep?”

His eyebrows shot up.

“I didn’t mean like that— I was just saying like you look tired. You look good but like you look tired so I—“

“Y/N.”

You stopped your rambling for the second time that day. You took a deep breath. “I was just worried.”

Trent sighed, he sat on the edge of the bed and patting the empty spot next to him.

You hesitantly took the place beside him, being hyper aware about how much space you’re leaving in between.

“I’m sorry.” he whispered, “I didn’t mean to worry you.”

Shrugging your shoulders, “Its okay.” you assured.

Trent starts to fidget with his fingers, “I have been thinking a lot in the past few days.”

“About what? The Prem?”

He took a deep breath, “No. Us.”

You took a large gulp. This was it. He was going to end your friendship. You’re going to be alone and you never got to tell him how you really feel about him.

You decided to play clueless, “Us? Like what?”

But the words that came out of his mouth has got you choking on your spit.

“Like romantically.”

Your mouth gaped, “You’re joking.”

Trent took offence at your response, immediately feeling embarrassed about telling you in the first place, “No need for tha’ I was just thinkin’.” he defended, hurt coating his words in attempt to save himself.

“No!” you mentally slapped yourself when you saw his reaction, “No, what I meant was that,” you sighed, “I have been thinking about that too.”

He meets your eyes, doe and soft, looking at him like he got you your favourite food. Like he hung all the stars and the moons.

He was looking at you the same.

“You have?” he whispered, scared to figure out if you were lying or joking.

But you settled down his loud fears.

You nodded, “Yeah.”

He nodded alongside with you.

“Okay.”

“Okay?”

Trent ran his fingers through his hair, a nervous habit you picked up on. “Do you wanna go on a date?” he coughed, “If you want we can go to the pizza place that you have been meaning to go to.”

“That serves pineapples on pizza?”

He nodded.

You grinned. “Yeah, I would love too!” your voice getting higher with excitement.

“Great!”

A smile took over Trent’s nervous features, the roundness of his cheeks, the slopes of his dimples and his pretty smile making you want to kiss him until he’s dizzy.

My fave marauders ships and dynamics as a multi-shipper !! Ok so, there are certain ships I like to imagine as canon in the canon universe, and there are other ships that I prefer in aus and such but still ship them so much!! So I thought I’d just ramble abt them here lol.

My fave ships that are canon/I think I should be endgame:

First off, Jily ofc. My loves. I’m generally not super excited abt str8 couples but they’re just too cute. My fave dynamic with them is that they’re academic rivals — well at least lily thinks they are, James is just hopelessly in love with her and enjoys competition lol. Lily thinks he’s an idiot, immature and a bit of a bully at first but slowly warms up to him as she sees his kind-heartedness and stance on justice. Plus, she’s always found him a little hot :)

Wolfstar, duh. I don’t think I have to go into detail coz I already do so much on my blog lol.

Dorlene — aaah I love my tragic, angsty lil lesbians. Sucker for the quidditch-rivals-to-lovers trope. Ooh and i headcanon Dorcas as transfem. But yeah if you’ve read ‘the hands that feeds’ by rollercoasterwords that’s basically how I see their dynamic.

Fralice — cuties and did not deserve the ending they got ;((

Rosekiller — ok, ok. I know I’ve ranted abt how I don’t like the fanonization of their characters in fandom,, but I will admit I do like them together. Especially when they’re depicted as the awful people they are lol. I like to think that they’re still hooking up in GoF on nights where barty’s poly juice wears off lmaoo. Also random but I hc Barty to be in ravenclaw.

Pandora x Xenophillius (idk how to spell his name) — I like to imagine Pandora as a goth who runs an underground magical weed business and Xeno as a hippie weirdo and conspiracy theorist. Both are bi/pan tho and have def hooked up with ppl of the same gender before.

Andromeda x Ted Tonks — iconic. Love them. Andy was the og rebellious black family child.

Emmary — love, love this ship. For context, I picture Emmaline as a little older than Mary (maybe 2 or 3 years) and they meet when Em’s at the order. Mary’s a bisexual girlie who’s predominantly been with men at this point, and Em’s a big Butch lesbian who loves Mary so much but isn’t sure if Mary likes her back, at first. Ofc they end up together after the first war but when Em wants to join the second war, Mary oblivates herself and retreats to the muggle world entirely because she cannot bear more pain.

My fave ships that I like to think are semi-canon, as in their unrequited, or right person wrong time, or both have feelings that the other doesn’t know — they just don’t workout for some reason:

First off, Marylene — my absolute fave, right person, wrong time ship. Love the whole, ‘Marlene loved her too early, Mary loved her too late idea’. I’m a sucker for best friends to lovers ahhh. I imagine that Marls had crush on Mary since they were eleven and came out to her later, and although Mary was supportive she didn’t like her back at that point. Then Marls got with Dorcas and maybe Mary got a tad bit jealous. And then Marlene was killed ofc so Mary moved on and went with Emmaline, but she never really stopped loving Marlene.

Nobleflower — bi narcissa and Alice rights!! I like to think that they had a bit of a homoerotic friendship back in their hogwarts years, but the fact that they were on opposite sides eventually pulled them apart. And so Alice gets with Frank and Narcissa with Malfoy. Aaah so tragic I love them

Lily x Remus — I like to think Lily had a little crush on Remus when they were younger but she got over it and they became besties !!

Bellatrix / Lady Zabini — Toxic murder comphet lesbians!! Tho I imagine they ‘broke up’ their fling coz Bellatrix was murdering with pure blood fascism in mind,,, and lady Zabini was just like,, why can’t we just kill ppl for the sake of killing them?? 🥺🥺

Jegulus — ok so I don’t like jegulus as a canon(ish) ship, buuut I love me some unrequited jegulus, specifically from Regulus’ side coz sorry I just personally don’t see James ever liking Reg in canon. I imagine Reg goes into hogwarts wanting to hate the guy who stole his brother but ends up falling for him just the same. He has internalised homophobia and hates the fact that he’s gay, esp for someone like James lol.

Bartylus — My hc is that neither of them liked each other romantically, but they settled and got off each other to pass time. It’s transactional, at least it’s starts off being..maybe barty’s a little more into it than reg thinks they are.

Peter/Bertha Jorkins — I like to imagine they dated for awhile during hogwarts — until Bertha got bored of him and dumped him. Peter never really got over it and was still bitter.

Peter/Sybil — oooh I remember this one was trending on marauders tik tok awhile back but I’m still not over it. Happens after Bertha/Peter. Sybil breaks up with Peter maybe coz she gets a prophecy that he becomes evil. Peter is confused and heartbroken.

Snily — ok hear me out!! I don’t care for their portrayals in a lot of fics coz I think the pro / anti Snape bias is always there — but I would be open to exploring the complexity of their dynamic in a fic when snapes actions aren’t justified or excused, but he’s not portrayed as a one dimensional bad guy. And I think it would be interesting to explore more of Lily’s character and why she stuck by him so long.

Ok, now onto ships that I only enjoy in aus:

Marylily/macevans — by far my fave ship in aus. Best friends to lovers >>>> also half the marauders edits saved on my phone are marylily edits lmaoo they’re just so cute!!

Jegulus — requited this time!! If it’s an au and James is not reduced to a generic sunshine people pleasing character, then they’re a little cute I’ll admit. Not the biggest fan of the 'best friend's brother' trope but the drama is entertaining at least.

Mary/Dorcas — I don’t think they’re a very popular on here but I personally like it. In a way they’re opposites but they’re motivations are a lot more similar than they realise.

Pandalily — so, so cute. Fanart is spectacular

Dorlily — so academic rivals to lovers coded

Prongsfoot — specifically in aus where James and Sirius are on opposing sides, for example, slytherin!Sirius au

Wolfstarbucks — James and sirius share everything!! Including their lovers apparently. Mostly enjoy it as a crack ship tho.

Once again have I fallen victim to the appeals of marketing collaborations OR my review of Самокат х Honkai Star Rail exclusive desserts

Collaboration items included:

• macarons, three flavors in a pack - vanilla plombir, raspberry brownie, white chocolate and (blue) cheese;

• tayaki with dulce de leche filling;

• mini tarts, two flavors in a pack - mango and raspberry.

My thoughts going in

I expected the tarts to be my favorite out of the bunch - I am not that huge of a fan regarding macarons, and and tayaki still hold somewhat of a "gimmick food" position here, so in a lot of places they suck just because people would buy them anyway for the tayaki appeal. Tho I had been informed by my dear bestie* that the foxboy on tayaki packaging is, in fact, a chef, so I held out some of the hope for it. I did overall vibe with the flavors selection for the collaboration items, so I expected each dessert to not be half bad at the minimum, even accounting for collab food always being at least a bit shit.

* said bestie will be receiving all future in-game promocodes I'll be getting as a part of a collaboration, so don't worry, I'm not forcing it to do unpaid labor mwah 💗

Tayaki with dulce de leche - 3/5

My initial vibe check of "tayaki is probably going to be mediocre" turned out to be correct, alas. Despite the very enticing website photo, in actuality there was way less filling, to a ridiculous degree. The dough itself wasn't bad, but it was also on the drier side, which more filling could have definitely fixed... Tayaki was, however, very soft and chewy, and there was potential, so 3 out of 5 seems deserved. Not awful, but won't be ordering again.

Mango and raspberry mini-tarts - 4/5 and 5/5

I have made an executive decision to rate different flavours of the same product differently, as you can see. Makes more sense to me, you know.

Both tarts have the same base, so no point talking about it separately. The crust was nice. Soft, but still structurally sound, great texture and great taste. Very happy with it overall 👍 And this time I wasn't scammed out of my money by filling-less dessert, great crust to filling balance in both mini-tarts.

Difference in my review scoring ultimately comes down to mango vs raspberry filling. I got the impression that the mangoes used weren't that great, maybe a bit unripe or something like that. I could def taste it while eating, so I had to bump the score down a bit, even if overall the mango tart was pretty nice. Raspberry was perfect, no notes. Not too sweet, with just the right amount of bitterness to it... A highlight of the entire collaboration for me indeed.

Macarons with white chocolate and cheese, raspberry brownie, and vanilla plombir - 4/5, 4/5 and 5/5

I was so pleasantly surprised with those! Once again, I'm usually very neutral about macarons, but those ones were nice :3 Literally melted in my mouth and everything!! Vanilla plombir, unexpectedly, was my favorite - it had a very gentle and sweet (without being overwhelming) taste... Like a good vanilla ice cream... Raspberry brownie and white chocolate + cheese each get a point redacted for the filling. Raspberry brownie had a bit of a bitter aftertaste - pure cocoa is bitter, and raspberries are kind of acidic themselves, so those needed something sweet to offset them, you know... Maybe at least tweak the ingredients proportions... White chocolate and blue cheese was. Way too much blue cheese way little chocolate, to the point where cheese really overwhelmed the palette. On top of that, I don't particularly enjoy blue cheese already, so this one wasn't for me. I think having blue cheese as a more subtle flavor would have gone a long way - it would add complexity without being. what it is right now.

With Percy Jackson and The Olympians Priemering Today here are some changes that would have made more sense with Greek Mythos than what Rick did (I love him but holy hell is none of it Accurate):

The big 3 would not have stopped having kids cause WWII (and I pray they change it in the show. it gives me the ick). Personally either, use Nazi's to have used Demigods as weapons against their will and have the gods agree no more kids to protect them, or WWI (it's a less fucked up idea, but aligning with countries over trade and political tensions is better than Nazi's). Also cold war could work but only to an extent. I know the prophecy was also a reason but good god let's get rid of the nazi's, please!

Athena is the virgin goddess. It's one of her epithets, Parthenos, the virgin Athena (what the Parthenon is named after). No kids, she has no time for romance. Now Artemis and Hestia? They're both virgin goddesses, with it being sacred, but Hestia being a goddess of the Family and hearth, and having kids would make sense (also fire Annabeth and Water Percy), whilst it's not clear if Artemis is 100% no romance (The Orion myth where their in love is only one retelling and it's the one I hate the most), but whether through her maidens, or as her role as a goddess of childbirth, or she's just a lesbian and sometimes they want kids, it's more likely than Athena. Honestly, the demigods of Artemis being the children Artemis helped birth from victims of assault would be a cool concept, the kids could be left at camp halfblood at an early age, and when the hunters visit, they could see their mums and aunts, whilst the mums could heal and know their kid is safe. Anyways, I'm 100% Athena is no romance, no sex, but loves friendships. She and Telemachus are besties, so she def has mortal friends. She and Paul would be good friends. New AU, Athena sets Paul up with Sally, cause she was already friends with Paul and is like "they'd be happy". Aphrodite is jealous that she didn't get it first.

Dinoysis should not be camp director, banished or not. What would make more sense: Ares camp director. The Greeks (Sparta and their colonies are the exception, not the rule) kinda hated Ares but in most of the myths he's in he's at best actually helping win wars, or at worst, the problem child (and the whole jar incident where he got trapped and Artemis and Hermes rescued him. Ares was hated because he represented the brutality of war, along with the revenge and cost with the eventual victory, whilst Athena was the tactics, strategy and cunning that brings victory. Regardless, in Mythos, Ares is a pretty chill guy (just not on the Battlefield.) Ares loves training, battle, and his kids. He is a girl dad (the Amazons are his kids, and he adores them), and would probably love any kid who showed an interest in fighting and battle, no matter the weapon. And it's in line with his character. He does something, gets kicked off Olympus for a bit, and gets thrusted to camp halfblood, and all the gods are like "Yeah lol, he hates kids, he's gonna hate it", but then he's there and he's like "I'm gonna teach you how to spear 3 horses in a row!" His kids love having him there, and he just kinda adopts the kids who's parent hasn't claimed them. He also will escort demigods home and threaten neglectful/shit parents. He will adopt kids who's mortal parent has abandoned them/died. Ares is camp father, and he's a damn good one. Though maybe he does get a little riled up by captue the flag.

I know the Amazons are in Heroes of Olympus, ha ha Amazon joke, but Amazon is an evil company and I hate it. The Amazon's also live in camp halfblood as trainers, friends, family, and loyal daughters of Ares. Most daughters of Ares get integrated into the Amazon's and they go on yearly retreats to Circe's island.

In later mythos Apollo became a god of the sun, and Artemis the moon, but Selene and Helios are still important players with interesting myths, and I know the whole "mortals forget" thing but Renaissance art did not. Have a plot about Endymion, Selene's forever-asleep boyfriend, Circe is a daughter of Helios, he could have other, powerful witches in their own right. Medea being a grandaughter of Helios is critical to her power and downfall. In mythos she never dies, merely disappears. Why is she evil? She is misunderstood and fuck Jason.

My hatred of Zeus runs deep and is too complicated to get into, but he is the true antagonist of Greek mythology, and I hate him. Everyone should hate Zeus.

Persephone and Hades relationship is too strained, and they never cheat on each other (Thesus and Pirithous. Once again, Rick is too kind to absolute dicks of mythology). The only time they have was Adonis and that one is weird and possibly mistranslated, but yeah, only times they cheat is when Zeus...assaulted his daughter *gags*, though in other translations the results of those unions are Hades. Hades though? Has never cheated on her. If one fell in love with a mortal, the more likely (and in my opinion sweeter outcome) is polyamory. Or have Hades and Persephone be the patron gods of any and all children of underworld gods (Thanatos, Melione ect)

On the Persephone thing, Persephone being a nature goddess is...loose? Demeter brings spring when reunited with her daughter, making Persephone's role not really nature goddessey. More interestingly greeks use the title Dread Persephone, and her role in stories aligns her as an underworld goddess. If you want an interesting deep dive into this watch OSP: Hades and Persephone on YouTube, its super interesting and goes into it better. Also fuck lore Olympus while I'm here.

Aphrodite and Hephestus being together is not always present in written works of Greek mythos. In Homer's Illiad Aphrodite is unmarried and a consort of Ares, whilst Hephestaus has his own wife, Charis. Then Homer contradicts himself (tbf, might not be a real guy) and states Aphrodite and Hephaestus are married and Ares is Aphrodite's homewrecker. So not even one (supposed) guy can keep it straight. It varies from myth to myth. Hell, at the end of some retellings of Aphrodite and Ares in chains in Hephestaus's bed, they straight up divorce. This is less nitpicky of Rick because Greek mythos has no cannon and everything is a constant mess, but with all the... less than stellar relationships within the pantheon and wider worship, it's ok to have a pairing that while is thought of, have a canonical divorce.

Also, Cupid would out Nico, Eros would not, and Psyche would punch him.

Why is Medusa solely based off of Ovid's terrible interpretation?IDK I'm not particularly fond of Ovid's retellings of myth, because of his...baggage issues. I know it's the more popularised one, but Ovid's entire story of Perseus is...so fucked up. This is also my anger toward wider mythos fans who argue whether Athena did a cool feminist thing or punished Medusa for being assaulted. In the older retellings, she was just a monster and it's so less fucked up.

Where is Ariadne? If we ignore my Ares rant, why is she not with her husband? or at least frequently visiting him? And why is she not called up in Balle of the Labyrinth? She is the patron goddess of it. Give her a cookie Percy, It'll help.

I have more but they relate to specific parts of the plot of a book, but if people are interested I can and will complain more. Sea of Monsters is the main one that comes to mind, but I'm rereading the series atm, so I can make ongoing lists. Also, I do love Percy Jackson, but I cannot think of it as having any relationship to actual Greek mythos or history or I'll scream. If you want to write an AU with any of these ideas please let me know, I love Greek mythos and I love interpretations of stories told for thousands of years.

Tears, i loveeeeeeee Jorges falcetto voice, the desperation when he sings "whos fighting for his life" and then the drop that goes into "but when [...]" etc, it kind of reminds me a bit of the shift of pace in "Wait for It" in Hamilton? Which is def one of my favorite songs in that musical

As well as whe musical design of the men picking up the chorus when Odysseus steps closer to the wall and all eyes are on him and the question of when does a man become a monster, when does the reason become the blame gets echoed...

Hey so this might be a weird ask but this is something that's been plaguing me for a while.

I was wondering if you could give any writing tips for Yeva to me?

I'm currently writing a fic and it's at the prequel phase which obviously means I gotta include Yeva in it, already have, but I'm not really sure how to write her.

I'd also love to go more in depth with her husband and how she interacts with, both pre and post planet explosion.

Sorry if you can't really answer this ask, just figured I'd ask the #1 Yeva fan for ideas about it.

Anyways now you gotta keep in mind this what I’ve gathered from Yeva, is a mix of my interpretation of what is shown off her in canon and my HCs

Yeva is also a character that can have many different interpretations which most of them IMO are valid and make sense

Now I assume you want me to help you developing her personality wise, correct?

I think Yeva is definitely someone that is the opposite of Nori, perhaps even a reflection of Nori.

Just like Uzi is a reflection of Doll, I’ve mentioned in one of my posts that each member of the Doorman’s and each member of Doll’s family could actually mirror to eachother!

So i think it’s pretty obvious that Yeva is a rather perhaps, a cold person. Doesn’t express much or isn’t the one to usually smile or be happy go lucky or interact with people all the time, that’s Nori’s thing

Doll could actually show off some characteristics she inherited from her mom apart from the looks and the AS

Probably she is aloof, brooding, speaks very little and only necessarily, her voice rarely showing much emotion. She isn’t the kind to approach or make the first move unless it is absolutely necessary, she is the kind of person to hang out by someone’s side, rather than taking the spotlight.

Of course that doesn’t mean she is devoid of emotion, she is just isn’t a very expressive and open person, normally.

Or maybe she does likes to sometimes show off some skills she has, maybe to make some of her colleagues to back off during her time at the labs/camps used her AS.

Her EP7 teaser appearance tbh screams to me “Idgaf about ur annoying ass” energy, like she will stare at you and judge everything wrong with you, I can see her definitely being snarky when she has too

Of EP4 and EP6 show that she is still able to feel intense emotions and express them even if it isn’t her thing. After all she is going through very traumatic situations in both EPs.

Maybe you could play with then idea of her showing different sides of her depending on who she interacts. Maybe she more emotional and slightly more open towards her husband and doll, and with nori (pre-core collapse) she is a bit more reserved but still somewhat sassy and snarky, like in a bestie way.

Now some people see her basically as an anxious wet cat and a bit paranoid. Which I can also see that, mostly due to the AS and after witnessing the horrors after the core collapse, I personally think she is aware on how dangerous the AS is, mostly by possibility witnessing Nori’s possession and she herself getting momentarily possessed causing the site-48 incident

She is clearly a traumatized woman who knows how badly the AS can be, and has probably developed certain coping mechanisms like other characters, maybe some of her stand-off-ish characteristics are a way for her to “shield” herself or to not feel so much pain.

She may be someone who is stuck in the past, or is having a hard time to moving on, which tbh I cannot blame her. This is mostly an inference from the fact she kept the exact same outfit she had at CFL, unlike Nori possibly.

I can also see her having a progressive change of character/personality the more shit she has to deal with, going from a cold, snarky, resting bitch face girlboss to an anxious, traumatized, low socializing woman.

Or again, these are different sides she shows in different moments or characters, maybe she sometimes “cracks” and shows how truly she subconsciously feels sometimes.

Its also worth mentioning that my theory, her dying outside possibly looking for answers or a cure for the AS or something that could stop the AS’s plans by going back to the labs truly shows she was willing to take the risk of death for the sake of her family and maybe the other WD’s.

I feel like she wanted to give Doll everything that she never had, giving her the best life, she could also be a sort of slightly reserved mom but like still cares for her kid.

I can also see her teaching her early on how to handle herself on her own and survive. Definitely see her as someone who taught Doll to keep herself as 1st priority.
