i went to check the rt store to see what (presumably) bumbleby merch they were selling and i fucking found a qrow plush that they sell. i am NOT buying it unless i find it secondhand or something (idk how long it's been out i havent looked at their store in awhile) but imagine me white boy punching the wall. qrow plush is literally everything ive ever wanted and i will not give rt the money but when i used to buy official rwby merch i always wanted more qrow stuff and well. theres more now. unfathomably furious abt this btw

Checkmate ♚

Apparently a temporary AR (Otome) game is coming soon and the artwork for it is just breathtaking! It is also full of details I want to explore OF COURSE. My brain is doing tetris things again, oops.

>> Chess Theme

White vs Black

The first topic is obviously the chess theme. Of course, this part is to be taken with a grain of salt since the pieces aren't correctly disposed on the board. However, the characters themselves are walking on their respective squares except for Vein (because he's all powerful and he's above your stupid rules. Probably). Notably, Liu Xiao himself seems to be leaving a white square. And if there is any meaning to it, I'd like to believe it makes a gray character out of him.

Now, what can we say about the chess pieces themselves?

White: rook, pawn, knight

Black: rook, mystery piece, king

Each character is paired with a chess piece.

The most reassuring clue to me is that a white piece has been given to Xia Fei. Which, there is a fat chance this makes an ally out of him. He might be only a Pawn ♙ for now. For those who are not familiar with chess, a Pawn can only move ahead, never back, one square at a time. It has some cool moves too but it depends on the game you want to play. If the path is open, a Pawn can reach the other side of the board, turning it into a Queen ♕. If a Pawn can only move ahead in small range, a Queen literally rules over the whole board. She's quick, vicious and dangerous once she has enough space to move as she pleases. Of course, he can also be a mere Pawn, a tool to manipulate Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi.

[Edit: since I always turn mine into Queens because I like to inspire fear and admiration from my brother, a Pawn can also turn into a Rook, a Bishop, or a Knight. I like to think of Xia Fei as a Queen but it's very interesting that he could turn into either Vein/CXS, Liu Xiao or Lu Guang by the end of Yingdu Chapter. ]

Cheng Xiaoshi and Vein both getting paired with a ♖ Rook ♜ could mean they use the same kind of power or are equivalent in some ways. Rooks have a large range, can move horizontally and vertically, ahead or back. They are better used when paired with other pieces, though, cause a lonely Rook ♖ is an easy pray. I think the main focus here is the similarity more than the piece itself. Lu Guang seems to be the one being punished and haunted, but Vein probably offered his power to Cheng Xiaoshi (or Lu Guang, according to the last Yingdu Chapter PV). My personal theory is that Vein mirrors or shadows Cheng Xiaoshi's shape because he is the source of his power. Vein's position, if there is any relevance to it, keeps Lu Guang's Knight ♘ from moving at the center, his natural and most efficient position.

Toppled King

Liu Xiao has two pieces by his side, a King ♔ and a mystery piece. The merch revealed the later to be a Bishop ♝.

Note that only amateurs tend to topple the King. It is regarded as some kind of pop culture-only approach to chess. Because of this, let's take a look a what an actual checkmate is (where we don't get to step on the vainquished).

Checkmate is any game position in chess in which a player's king is threatened with capture and there is no possible escape. In chess, the king is never actually captured. Checkmating the opponent wins the game. The player loses as soon as their king is checkmated. In formal games, it is usually considered good etiquette to resign an inevitably lost game before being checkmated. (cf. wikipedia)

If Vein, the current character we might recognize as the ultimate villain of the season, is only a Rook ♜, equivalent to Cheng Xiaoshi, who does the King ♔ represent? My personal opinion is Time, Fate itself. The song "Mastermind" supports this theory, and Lu Guang himself really is defying the natural order to save Cheng Xiaoshi, after all. It would make perfect sense. Stopping the clocks at a tournament is the sign of surrender. So basically, the game is over when one gives up and stops when the King has nowhere to go.

The character of Liu Xiao is given a lot of care in this specific artwork. He actually always stood out, since his very first appearance in the season 2 artworks, walking past Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi's portrait, looking away from us. Here, again, he's not interested in the audience, focuses on the photograph of what fans reckon as Lu Guang from "Dive Back in Time".

The truth is, he's playing the long game, he has no time to spare, and he regards people as puppets. There has been theories about him having a hidden agenda, independently of Vein, using/working with Li Tianchen and Li Tianxi for his plan. His intervention in "Trial Train" speaks volume of his strategic mind, "they wanted to escape but didn't realize I blocked the exit a long time ago". Also, one hundred years wouldn't be enough to escape.

This merciless sharpness makes the Bishop perfect for Liu Xiao. Funny story, the Bishop ♝ is not actually a priest, but it represents a war elephant. Historically, the war elephant's main use was to charge the enemy, break their ranks, and instill terror and fear. That's fitting.

Another possibility regarding the toppled King could be that it refers to Liu Xiao's background. The fallen piece could be a resolved situation but the motivation behind Liu Xiao's intent to manipulate the timelines. Perhaps he played this game before and lost. Does Lu Guang know him or is Liu Xiao a mere stalker? Did they play this same game together or against each other?

There's a lot that can be speculated but it is hard to say what these pieces represent for now. As I said before, this read is based on popular imagery of what chess is, not on the actual strategy on the board itself. Secondly, these three new characters we have yet to meet, they don't have a defined role in the canon, not until Yingdu Chapter finally aires.

Each character is giving a object. I guess it might be relevant to the type of gameplay the AR game will offer but for the sake of this meta, we're still gonna try to understand why those in particular.

Cheng Xiaoshi has a camera. I don't think it deserve further analysis, his powers exist through the lens after all.

Xia Fei has a clock. Guess the time? 10:10. For those unaware, it is a very recurrent time. Put the promotional poster aside, I recommend you pay attention to the time on the clock in the Studio, above Lu Guang's head, right before the gang gets a ominous call from Xu Shanshan's phone at the end of 1x09. If it should mean anything about Xia Fei himself: I won't say it enough but, really: DO NOT TRUST HIM. Or, you know, perhaps he's doomed: it is worth mentioning that except for Xia Fei's Pawn ♙, each character is affiliated to a piece which can move forward and backward on the board.

Liu Xiao has a gear. I find this one intriguing because, so far, this object has belonged to Cheng Xiaoshi's imagery (cf. "BREAK!"). For someone on an ambitious project such as controlling timelines, he is giving a small tool that cannot be used on its own, is part of a machine. Could be relevant to the way he does things, never getting his own hands dirty, working through others. Or it could be that he's himself just another player, played by Fate. Or perhaps, he has the missing piece that Lu Guang needs to save Cheng Xiaoshi, who knows?

Vein is already using his own item: the pipe. He's the only one owning his object and aware of it.

Because of course, our favorite character is actually the shadiest of all, I will dedicate a whole section about him specifically. Why do I insist on calling Lu Guang shady? We know and we see his chess piece is white. But you have to take a closer look to make out the White Knight ♘. The value of a Knight ♘ is equivalent to the Bishop's ♝. But ultimately, its worth less than Cheng Xiaoshi's Rook ♖.

L shaped path

Moving only in an 'L' shaped path, Knights ♘ are the most effective from the center of the board. This is because they get a broader reach in all directions from the central part.

Now, this is very important. Why should it be a mystery that Lu Guang's piece is a knight? What is a Knight ♘? The answer resides in the mechanism of his maneuver.

Part of the idea of the knight maneuver is to flank. And since the Knight is not a horse but a man on a horse, the odd maneuver reflects the knight's ability to guide the horse he's riding (to an extent). In other words, since the Knight comprises two entities (the man riding the horse), the move should sensibly consist of two parts as well, to reflect the added agility of the athletic horse. Conversely, the Knight has access to a maximum of 8 squares (as opposed to the "equal" Bishop's maximum of 13) because the horse is still an animal with a mind of its own.

Note that if you place a Knight ♘ somewhere on the margins, its efficacy will diminish exponentially. Additionally, if he only moved two squares, straight or diagonally, the Knight ♘ would always be restricted to the color squares that he started the game on.

Lu Guang being the Knight ♘ doesn't only means that he moves unconventionally. It is reflective of his duality. Perhaps, the fact he's using his power and Cheng Xiaoshi's. There is another aspect of him we could address here:

Burning Palace

For one thing, "BURNING PALACE" brings back the theme of strategy board game with the checkers this time (you see black pieces falling). It also introduce the Four Heads from playing cards. The fact they bothered to mention it implies a Fourth character.

Xia Fei: ♠

Liu Xiao: ♣

Vein: ♦

The fourth color ♥ is missing and I'm secretly convinced that it's Lu Guang's color.

Enygmatic Tokens

The portrait behind Lu Guang is Lu Guang himself, from "Overthink". This image appears in the first bridge, when the lyrics goes "how did my sight got stolen once more?", superposing Lu Guang's face with mysterious shapes, erasing his eyes/power. This particular line comes to confirm what we already know: Yingdu Chapter isn't a resolution, let alone a happy ending, but a repeat of a tragic event in an unchangeable node. The end is the same, once again. Lu Guang's hope and happy ending has been stolen once more. And STOLEN also implies that there is an intent behind this failure.

A portray is still a photograph though, and it can be used to dive back in time.

What is the most curious to me is the familiar eagle on Lu Guang's chest. Eagles belongs to Cheng Xiaoshi's imagery so why does Lu Guang is wearing them here?

An interesting take would be that Yingdu Chapter isn't actually from Lu Guang's perspective, but from Cheng Xiaoshi's, diving in a picture taken by Lu Guang. This would be some kind of plot twist and would definetely makes the big reveal easier but not less painful.

I'll probably make a whole meta about this symbol at some point but in the meantime, I'll let you know the eagle is associated with strength, power, wisdom, and freedom. The eagle's ability to soar high in the sky was believed to be a symbol of divine protection and spiritual guidance. Additionally, eagles are tied to the sun. Some people see them as signs of a bright future on the horizon. As a symbol of light, they embody both the intensity and heat of the sun as a fearsome force of nature, as well as the warmth and benevolence of the heavens.

This positive symbolisms are deeply rooted in Cheng Xiaoshi's nature, but if Yingdu Chapter actually brings us back to one earlier repeat, we can assume that Lu Guang had initially a brighter outlook on his mission.

The glasses are back and I'll say it again: once is weird, twice is a coincidence and thrice it's a pattern. The portrait shows Lu Guang without eyes but his item is a pair of glasses. Might be a subtile hint of denial there. As far as glasses go, pink is a peculiar color. It helps to 'voir la vie en rose', as the french says: "look at the world through rose-coloured glasses." Meaning, being delusional.

Might it be the eagle or the glasses, I'd say they're both representative of Lu Guang's state of mind at the time: hopeful.

she tries to go to your shows as often as possible- she has skipped worked to go see you play. she has some of your bands songs burned into a CD somewhere in her room. she.... has probably lost it, can totally see her having a messy room

you always make sure she gets to be in the front of the audience to get the best view and sound, you may be a small band and cant afford much but you do what you can where you can

sometimes you sit together at your place and make your own merch... you dont have enough fans to justify making your own merch line... and besides, making the shirt designs with your own hands with her are nice...! just... help her get the paint flakes out of her fur...

she understands how beginning artists can struggle and she tries to help you as much as she can... and that can be easy when she starts showing you off and wearing your merch around in public.. you try to insist that she doesnt need to do that... but she does genuinely enjoy your music! even if its not her style she can see the effort you put into it....

blitz... definitely left some issues regarding trust with her, so there is a vague worry that youre going to end up dipping once she gets your name out there. lots of conversations need to be had and trust is established!

has zero fear in approaching you, though you may be a little taken aback given he- a member of the ars goetia- coming to you... (assuming youre of lower class... imp, hellhound, ect ect)... but with his charm you both hit it off quick!

I do have a few recommendations for you os ti’n hoffi Gwilym ac Yws Gwynedd!

If you like Gwylim I think you’ll also enjoy Fleur de Lys, they’re an indie rock band from North Wales in the mid-2010s. They’ve just released a new single called Gad Ni Fod that reminds me a little of Gwilym! You might also like Sŵnami, though they’re a bit more of a pop band. I like their song Gwenwyn. If you’re into heavier music though, there’s another song called Gwenwyn by a band called Alffa. They’re just two lads but they make a ginormous sound, and they’re all-independent and also amongst the most lovely people I’ve spent 3 hours with, so check them out! Gwenwyn also became the first Welsh language song on Spotify to cross a million streams, which is a great achievement. My favourite song of theirs is Babi Mam, a song on men’s mental health, and crucially the lyrics are also available online.

Another rec bouncing off of Gwylim would be Ynys from Aberystwyth. They make harmonic pop/psychedelic rock, I can’t recommend them enough! They’re a newer band, but they’re formed by Dylan Hughes, who used to be in a lovely 2010s indie band called Race Horses (another Cymraeg fav of mine tbh), and some of that band play with him in Ynys too. Helpfully, Dylan is also particular about making sure all his lyrics are available, which is great as a learner! It’s in the lyric booklets but also on their Bandcamp.

You should also definitely check out Adwaith, who are one of the best new bands in Wales! They’re from Carmarthen, so you’ll also hear in their lyrics that they use bits of South Walian Welsh, and the thing I admire about them is they’re learners too. They said they deliberately try and write their lyrics to be true to how they really speak, and so it’s meant to be less formal and more casual. They’re also one of the voices singing about life as girls growing up in Welsh-speaking Wales, and they’re the only musicians ever to win the Welsh music prize twice! Icons. There’s a spinoff band 2/3 of them started in lockdown called Tacsidermi, and if you like Gwilym’s song Cwin you’ll love their song Ble Pierre.

Like Yws Gwynedd - there’s a Candelas song called Brenin Calonnau you’ll like. HMS Morris are another really good band, try their song Ceredigion. Chroma wrote a fantastic album called Asking For Angela this year. Check out Sai’n Moyn Mynd Mas! They released this song in English and in Welsh.

I’ll give you a few more alternative and rock bands I really like, I’ll put them in a playlist for you! It’ll have some Welsh language music from rock bands like Super Furry Animals and Gruff Rhys solo, Datblygu, Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci, big leaves, Y Reu (and their guitarist Lloyd Steele’s work, who wrote some fantastic tunes in lockdown reflecting on identity — specifically about being a mixed race gay man in Welsh speaking Wales), Ysgol Sul, Hyll.

There’s a Gorky’s song that’s not on Spotify that I love, so I’ll give you a YouTube link. It’s an older song though, written before violinist Megan Childs joined the band - Merched Yn Neud Gwallt Eu Gilydd, from the Introducing Gorky’s CD.

So with the Actor AU done for TSR, think you can do a rundown of how it would look like in Silverking?

Hrm...

Zeus: They'll probably act really well, until they have to do emotional scenes of the show (and yes, there is emotional Zeus somewhere in the IF 👀), which leads to the first ever hurdle Zeus encounter because romance and love is not a common thing for them. Otherwise, I imagine they would be the most serious, logical and straight-laced actor the crew would ever work with.

In their romance, Zeus would somehow gravitate to MC and sometimes offer to escort them home if they work overtime. In drinking parties, they might be willing to drink MC's share to prevent them getting drunk by the superiors.

Hermes: 😬 Eeeee...Very crabby. In the show, Hermes is already the quiet individual with a confusing, maybe a little standoffish attitude as a character. Them as an actor, it just means Hermes isn't afraid to speak their mind and only took the gig because they were given an offer they couldn't refuse.

In this romance, at first, Hermes would just eye MC, wondering who tf are they. But the more they got to know MC and fell for them, they end up 'accidentally' bumping into them and started being a bit more sociable, much to the shock of the crew. Would def be a bit smug if there's a couple paparazzi pics of them and MC together with dating rumours, even tho Hermes hates publicity.

Dionysus: The sweetest actor alive and very well known for being able to play intense, emotional roles. They act by the gut, where they have to feel and empathize more than think and memorize. Definitely the one who shows up in bloopers and has all the latest gossips in both the crew and what the publicity/social media is trending.

In their romance, they would probably become MC's biggest fan and try to muster the courage to ask if they want to hang out or something (totally not a date) , or maybe ask for an autograph.

Ares: Honestly, Ares didn't think they'd get dragged into a series, much less one with a romance genre. Sure, they did a lot of action films as an extra - a couple of side characters in war-based movies too. Is the type to analyze and dive into the mindset and thought process of their character and would be acutely aware of what goes on around the set through observations and unintentional eavesdropping.

In their romance, Ares would be curious of who MC is and, given how this is a big role that's new to both them and MC, Ares would probably ask if they'd be up to practice the scenes they have together. Would start off as coworkers, friends and then more.

Dolos: Okay, I'm not gonna lie - I legit picture that they're a major fan of MC and was surprisingly selected to star in the same series/movie as MC by the director or producer, which may or may not have nearly gave Dolos a heart attack. But in the platonic one - Dolos admires MC's work, which have been side characters and maybe some voice acting or podcasts. Dolos has been known in the acting world as a popular one, having been a child actor and growing up with amazing talent in stardom. Even if they don't put much effort in their work (they do, so long as the movie or show they're in is taken seriously and not just some adaptation to make money or ruin the source I'mlookingatyouWitcher), they're still well beloved and perfect. Is also known for having a lot of disguises so people don't know what their actual appearance is - not even the paparazzi.

In their romance tho, they're so much of a big fan of MC that they attend their handshake events and only ever bought MC merch or games MC voiced in. Come to think of it, I think Dolos would also be very quick with slamming down any haters of MC...

⚠️WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD Regarding TBHK CHAPTERS 41 to 58 ⚠️

As I Think more about this concept, I come to realization that maybe the Picture perfect arc is the Best way go for a Movie, I completely forgot that after the Severance arc, we get at least 3 whole Arcs before Finally arriving at the far shore, So unless you want to either see stuff get cut out or Sit Through probably a 3 or 4 HOUR movie, the Severance is Not the best option, however if the picture perfect arc were made into a Film, then this would be No problem, after all it's all just 1 arc about 1 singular story, and it doesn't get bumped into multiple other arcs, plus this would be the Perfect way to introduce No.4/ Mei Shijima into the Series, having season 2 probably end with the Picture perfect arc being foreshadowed, and then jumping straight into the movie, giving a nice glimpse of what's to come next; in my opinion, This would the PERFECT way to end season 2

Plus think of All merch you'd sell with this idea, since Mei is an artist you'd probably sell a lot of merch relating to art, like pencils, and art books for the movie, but you'd also have the chance to Sell Posters and other items like pins, T shirts, key chains, and of course, PLUSHIES!!!

Also maybe having art booklets regarding behind the scenes, would be an Awesome thing to Sell as well, just think of the all possibilities this would hope to achieve, Gaining not only money, but also introducing New fans to TBHK as well, growing the Fanbase even More I'd love for this to happen seeing as it IS a Slepted on series and Deserves more recognition, plus think of All the Amazing scenes we'd see adapted into the movie, Seeing stuff Like this Scene

So many beautiful moments to chose from and so many to Adapt, I wanna see this happen so bad and with "Season 2" being Announced I can't help but Wish for this to be true 😖 Because Why else would they release the Spin-off series in October, but release the MAIN series in January? Unless of course, it's to set us up for something, or should I say, SOMEONE (this being Mei shijima)

Plus let's not forget the color scheme for this movie, knowing Aidairo and the Animation team They would be COOKING with this film, Making it even more beautiful than it Already is, Plus the Soundtrack would be Beautiful to hear, the TBHK Soundtrack is 1 of the Best soundtracks I've heard in an Anime, Aside from Madoka magica and SAO's, it has that vibe of Creepy and spooky, but also Angelic and mesmerizing, so imagine that type of Soundtrack in film, you'd have to go All out producing the Best pieces for the Film, especially for something like the Picture perfect arc, having it sound like something straight out of a Dream, setting the tone for something either Creepy, sad, or Beautiful; Making us Not only See the scene, but also FEEL it

Also if my calculations are correct, Demon slayers Mugen train arc was only 6 Chapters, and they were able to make that into a 1 hour long movie, So if this TBHK'S Picture perfect arc is about 13 Chapters, then We're looking at probably about a 2 or 3 hour long movie, which is pretty reasonable to say the least, plus knowing Aidairo's pacing, it Would probably only feel about 1 hour or maybe even less, judging by how When I read her Chapters, I feel like I've read about 13 to 17 chapters, when in reality I've read about 20 or 30 of them, So that's saying something ^^

Finally the message Behind the story: Tbh, imma leave that up to y'all, Because there's So many ways to interpret it, and tbh, I don't think my words could do it Justice. Maybe one day I'll return and endup editing this to Finally put my feelings into words but until then, I'll leave that in YOUR Hands,

In the end I think The Picture perfect arc is the Best arc, Not because it's the most heartwrenching, but because it focuses on the Main characters, most of the cast really consists of Hanako, yashiro, kou, mitsuba, alongside Natsuhiko, Sakura and Tsukasa, with the inclusion of No.4, being the Only new character, everyone else like Aoi, Akane and teru don't even appear and if they do, They're just replicas created by No.4, it's Literally a story all about the Main characters, or at least, the One's we started off with, in my opinion that sounds like the Perfect blueprint for a movie, So why not make it into one. Anyway those are Just my Feelings, but I really wanna know what you think? Do you think should be turned into a movie, or should just stay as part of season? Compilation of fnaf Carnival foreshadowing for @twipsai cause I love him soso much (platonic)

Balloon World. VERY heavily carnival themed and part of arcade conspiracy, as well as being the only arcade game you can complete and get an achievement for besides Princess Quest 3, and is heavily speculated to be connected to GGY/Gregory. It's also located in Burntrap basement next to a little hide out (most likely GGY's) and also in a hidden area in the daycare attendants room, with the sky in BW being shown on the roof of the daycare attendants room in the AR world in Ruin. I saw another blog bring this up but I think this is important to state.

Vivziepop is actively fucking endangering people by using demonic sigils.

Case in point: a while ago someone on the Helluva subreddit wanted to get Stolas' Sigil as an actual tattoo and only like a 1/3 of the comments were like "HOLY FUCK DO NOT FUCKING DO THIS FOR RELIGIOUS AND SAFETY REASONS"

Like I don't care if you don't believe in the supernatural or whatever. You don't FUCK with this shit. Like even if you ignore the potential issues there's the fact Stolas is a patron for neo pagans.

Like I can understand why Vivziepop uses the sigils in the show somewhat but she should NEVER sell merch with that shit.

Like one shes comidifying religious shit on a show that only us 0.1% related to the Ars Goetia and demonology. This effects people who deal with the supernatural and will make their practices be seen from the outside a some sort of quirky fandom thing and not taken seriously.

She is potentially having people open up entry points for demons.

She is not a practicing neo pagan or worshipper of any patron demons and is stealing from them without any fucking respect. She has no right to profit using their iconography. Like it would be like me using the Star of David to market my show about Jesus.

As someone who heard rumors about how the Lore Olympus fandom attacking actual Hellenists for worshiping Apollo because LO Apollo is a horrible person. What the FUCK do you think Vivziepop's cult would do if they found out someone worships Paimon or pagan worshippers in general having issues with how the Ars Goetia is portrayed?

Not surprising to me that Viv is treating actual demonic sigils as an aesthetic. She has done this before with Alastor’s Hatitan voodoo in the pilot.

Another problem I have with Viv not doing research about demonology and religions is she obviously doesn’t care about respecting these religions and spreading harmful misconceptions about them to her fans who knows nothing about them. Fans think voodoo symbols and demon sigils are just designs because of how Viv treats them in her show and merch.

There is an actual reason why these religions don’t let anyone use these symbols. I don’t care if Viv is an atheist, you still have to respect other’s religions and their rules. From what I heard people who are into demonology and these religions hate the show because of how inaccurate it is. The fans would just ignore or harass them because they dare criticize a show misusing their religion.

TIME TO TALK ABOUT THE LORE IN THE NEW MERCH DROP

Okay! First of all, Apollo Olympic and Laurel.

Laurel, we can safely assume, is Apollo's most popular song in universe.

He has a music video for it and everything.

Now, the significance of Laurels is that one) Daphne turned into a Laurel tree and two) Laurels represent victory and/or achievement. Do I think Apollo wrote a song about a girl who turned to a tree just to avoid him? No. No, I think this song is about Hyacinthus and Dionysus.

A major defining thing in Apollo's relationship with Dionysus is that Apollo saw Hyacinthus in Dionysus. To Apollo, Hyacinthus and Dionysus are interlinked. I think Laurel is about seeing Hyacinthus as a winner/winning side while Dionysus was the major fall or the "losing side". I think this song would be similar to Joji's "Glimpse of Us" and it would subtly and very unconsciously (reflecting Apollo's state of mind) be uplifting Hyacinthus as this great love and greater loss while pushing Dionysus down and, again unconsciously, stating that Dionysus was the loss. Dionysus was the love that could've been as great but just wasn't.

Now! Dionysus and Cheaper than Therapy

The new merch isn't a look at what the songs of Pour Taste are. No, this is a new album "Hubris". We'll take a look at Hubris in a second, for now, let's try to put Pour Taste together.

Pour Taste is the first album that they wrote and toured with. It was done without a drummer (Ares). Some of the songs have been described as "responses to Apollo's songs"

And, at one point, CTT use the Laurel melody in their song (which reaffirms my theory that Laurel is about Dionysus)

OKAY SO! What are the songs? For names, we have gotten

-Blue

-Not my God

and that's it.

There aren't enough context clues to try and guess what Blue might be about, but maybe (because blue is associated with sadness) Blue is about addiction and that sort of thing.

Not my God on the other hand is a response to Laurel. It's the first one we see that people outright recognise as a response song. It could very well be a call out song about Apollo though with 20x more subtlety.

If we assume that Laurel is about how Dionysus is the lesser version of Hyacinthus, this song could very well be about how Dionysus magnified Apollo and his relationship with Apollo to impossible heights only for Apollo to pull the rug from underneath his feet and show his true colors. How Dionysus tried his best for Apollo and how Apollo betrayed him. This song can very well be, a big 3-minute middle finger to Apollo with a big sign saying "I WISH YOU WERE HOW I IMAGINED"

On to Hubris!

OOF! It's a power move that Dionysus released a song called Hyacinthus. AND WE HAVE PUNCH DRUNK REFRANCE!!

Again, unfortunately, for Hubris we don't have much context clues. But, Hubris was done with Ares and we can guess at a few songs.

This album is called "Hubris" and I think that was done with intentionality. I think that is the theme of this album.

Lose Thyself could very well be about the "mania" that comes with being consistently high and drunk.

Hubris is the title track which could be the start of the discussion of the theme i.e. thinking you're so powerful and big only to be brought down by the power of others (Apollo hints mayhaps). This song makes me think about how good Dionysus must have felt right before the breakup only to be brought down by Apollo.

Pour Decisions is probably a song from Pour Taste that didn't make it to Pour Taste. The only reason I think this is because of the use of "pour" instead of "poor". Pour Decisions, Poor Decisions. Pour Taste, Poor Taste. We get the gist. It could also be a reference or expansion on the themes of Pour Taste.

Narcissus could very well be about the narcisssim that Dionysus sees in Apollo and the Olympians. The narcisssim in every god that Dionysus has met. I honestly am blindly throwing darts at a dart board with this one.

Punch Drunk! Because this album was made with Ares, I personally like to think that Dionysus made the song especially with Ares in mind. Another thing with is that before on a silly Instagram post we got this from Georgie

So....I'm right.

Laurel cover which is...a wild decision if my thoughts on Laurel are correct.

I'm not going to discuss Five Way or Baby, Don't Hurt Me because I can't even begin to think what they could possibly be about. Literally the only thing going on in my head when I see those is "baby don't hurt me no more. no more." I think this song would be a lot sadder than that though. I think it could be about how Apollo saved Dionysus even when Dionysus never asked to be saved.

IXII and Hyacinthus, I think go together. IXII is 911. It's an emergency number and....

(Apollo's number is the one saved for emergencies. In case of emergency [ICE]) Also, I'm pretty sure you call 911 for all emergencies (don't come at me, I'm not American) so this song being about Apollo just makes sense in my head. I think it's about calling that one person you can always rely on in an emergency and them always being there despite everything....it's Apollo. Apollo is the one who fulfills that role in Dio's life.

The last song, Hyacinthus.

Again, I think this goes hand in hand with IXII. I think that while IXII talks about Apollo being there, Hyacinthus is the one that talks about never being enough (for Apollo). The song "Hyacinthus", in my opinion, is about someone who've you've always idolised not being happy with you because you're not exactly like the person they idolised.

...I think it's a very fitting theme for SunDrunk.

I'm venturing into making homemade merchs. Behold! My first attempt!!

Haha! I'm sick... again... so slow with writing. Also I have another story idea!

I want to write a crack fic featuring Ritsuka dirty talking Oberon for months on end without realizing what she's doing.

Hahahahaha! Hear me out.

Intrusive thoughts. How weird they can get. Like people sometimes out of nowhere wonder what it's like to kiss complete strangers they just meet. Stuff like that right.

Do they fall into the purview of Fairy Eyes? Can Oberon's fairy eyes see Ritsuka's intrusive thoughts and spontaneous daydreaming as they take place?

Here's another thought. What if intrusive thoughts are strictly a human thing? Fairies don't do intrusive thoughts. So servant Oberon would be completely unused to the experience of watching intrusive thoughts.

So let's say, the story goes like this. Riri goes about her day as usual but now and then she would have intrusive thoughts about Oberon. Tsundere, weirdly complimentative, wildly inappropriate trains of thoughts. Like this:

'Haaa, as usual Oberon is prickly and hard to please. Did he have to open his mouth and let out thy pretty, barbed tongue?'

'He's like a giant grumpy cat! His hair is even smooth and soft like one of those prissy, expensive pedigree cats from Britain!'

'Cat Oberon. Kitty Oberon. Kittyberon! Hehehehehe'

'I wonder how it feels if I pet him. Cat bellies are nice and soft and tempting. I always want to rub my face into a cat's belly. Can I do that to Kittyberon? Rub his tummy with my face? Would he yowl or would he purr?'

Imagine Ritsuka thinking that while in line to pick up lunch in the cafeteria, with none of it showing on her face. And Oberon in the same cafeteria growing increasingly flustered but can't do anything about it.

Or how about when the fairy summer event rolls around with the two Oberon summer costumes? Maybe she would think something like this:

'Oh man, I wonder where those abs come from. He didn't look like he's that packed under the clothes.'

'Are those abs fake? Did he paint them on like he painted the whole refreshing summer prince persona on? Does it rub off? Is it waterproof? Is that why doesn't get into the water? Cause them abs wash off?'

'Hmm.. I wonder how far down he painted. Would he be like a spitting mad cat if I try to examine with my hands right now? Would that smear the ink?'

'Hehehehe, spitting mad Kittyberon!'

And what about the gloomy Summer Oberon costume?

'Wahahahahaha!! He looks like a college dropout who works at the local gas station convenience store! Gehehehe! A sad hikkikomori who just can't help himself! His room even looks like it and he has a forever crush on a 2D girl!'

'Mm-hmm! Hey, isn't that the setting of a bunch of different Ecchi manga and eroge games? The protagonist is some shut-in who hasn't been to school for years, and his only contact with the outside world is the persistent childhood friend who won't leave him alone! She goes over to cook for him, clean up after him, and look out for him every day!'

'Like a persistent little sister! Always yelling for Oberon Onii-chan to get up, it's the middle of the day already!'

'Hmm? Come think of it, isn't that what I already do for him this summer? Coming over to clean up after him and dragging him out of his depressed hole? Huh, I wonder how he will react if I come up and call him Oberon Onii-chan to his face! I know! He will do the whole jeering, barbed tongue prince again and call me an idiot with nothing good to do with her time. Typical Oberon! Always a depressed downer! No wonder he's always abyss this, the end that! Oberon Onii-chan is super lame! Hehehe!'

'And if we are going with eroge game story, then one fine day the childhood friend will just have it and kabedon him! And ravish him because she just about had enough with his obtuse way! Like that game Private Nurse, the protagonist ends up getting chased around town in an embarrassing outfit! Hahaha! Oberon Onii-chan, what are you to do if something like that happens to you? Hahaha!'

And how does Ritsuka have all the patience in the world to deal with Oberon's snarkiness? Maybe she just superimposes Kittyberon on real Oberon the entire time. Imagine Oberon being snarky as usual and Ritsuka looking at him and seeing a hissing kitty, and, in her head, imagining all kinds of scenarios. Petting him like a cat, snuggling and kissing him and annoying this grumpy kitty with smooches and whosagoodkitty! You are! Yes you are!

Or if she's feeling frustrated with him then in her head she's thinking: 'Bad kitty needs a spanking and no melon snack for you until you properly apologize by cutely meow meowing at me!'

And so on...

Hmm hmmm. So this story would effectively have two parts I think. The first part is just all the slapstick, wacky intrusive thoughts in Riri's head. The second part is Oberon finally snapping and acting out some of the intrusive thought scenarios in Riri's head on her, much to her mortification.

Imagine that scene!

Oberon meow meowing in that prissy princely British manner at Ritsuka while reminding her of the dirtiest, most inappropriate thoughts she hashad about him in the weeks prior to her face.

'Hmm, how is Kittyberon today, Master? Is this enough for you to forgive me yet?'

'Didn't you want to rub your face in my belly and find out if these muscles are painted on or not?'

'What were those eroge scenarios in your head again?'

'Depressed shut-in onii-chan being kabedoned and ravished by the childhood imoto was it? Or was it the other way around?'

'Master, won't you call me Oberon Onii-chan. You always wonder how I would react, don't you? Here is it. Call me. O-Nii-Chan.'

Until Riri wants to run away, but she's locked in with him.

Hahahhaha. And then the ending, I'm thinking. Riri is all sore and tired the next day after having paid the price for her months of dirty talking Oberon without realizing it. She thinks she's got to be careful now where her thoughts lead. No more intrusive thoughts about no-good, very-bad, should-definitely-be-punished Kittyberon!!

And there is the punch line of the joke. Ritsuka realizes that oh crap, she can't help it. Cue Oberon looking at her from across the cafeteria with a look that promises 'You are going to pay for this later.' And Riri meeping and running away.

“Shit I’m gonna be late!” You scrambled out of your apartment door locking it swiftly behind you. You hadn’t meant to be behind schedule but hopefully the staff would still allow your vip pass. You had dreamt about this concert for months, and finally the night arrived where you would see StrayKids live. You were fortunate enough to score a front row seat. Did it cost an arm and a leg? Yes. But could you afford it? Absolutely. You didn’t work day and night as a financial advisor for nothing. At 24 you were on top of your game.

You waved down a taxi in hopes to get to the venue soon. You still could feel your heart pumping in your chest as hard as it could. You’d dressed very cutely. A black bodycon mini dress with cute platform Maryjane’s. Adorning your legs were fishnets and little laced socks and leg warmers that completed the combo. Your makeup was stunning of course. Lets just say you looked delicious.

The taxi soon comes to a halt. You hadn’t realized you were already at the venue. You hurriedly paid the driver and thanked him for such a speedy arrival before making sure you looked perfect in the window. The concert stadium was ginormous, girls and guys filling the entrances and hanging around. Everyone looked stunning. Some brought posters and others brought their lightsicks. You’d subconsciously reached into your bag to make sure you’d brought yours. “Good, I didn’t forget it.” You sighed in relief. As you made your way up to the entrance you weren’t aware that just a few feet away was staff rushing in one singular person. “Looks like I’m not the only one late.” You’d said a little later than expected as he brushed past with staff.

“Tickets and general admission over here to the left! VIP package tickets to the right! Come on people.” A staff called out with a megaphone. Your stomach started flipping. Your excitement boiling over as you snagged a spot in line.

Inside the venue it was even bigger than you’d imagined, merch tables sat perched in every corner, staff walking around snapping photos of fans. A staff member walked up to you cautiously shaking the camera a little signaling that they wanted to take a picture of you. “Oh, okay.” You said nervously, lighting up your light stick and posing for the picture.

You finally made it into the concert arena, where other fans and concert goers were taking pictures and videos to post. You made ur way down to your section and realized just how close you were going to be. The feeling of nervousness and excitement exploding into your body once again. Maybe this won’t be as nerve wracking once it starts.

The crowd starts screaming as the lights go out, light sticks shining brightly against the dark arena. As quick as it happened the boys appeared on stage. Your heart fluttered as you began cheering like no other. You felt as close as you could ever be. As they began performing their set list, you could feel a gaze from somewhere. You were enjoying the concert as much as anyone could.

After the first song they lit the stage up, the boys took their positions and introduced themselves.

“STEP OUT! HELLO WE ARE STRAYKIDS!”

You looked over the boys, they all looked amazing. Their auras filling up the arena. One member in specific, you couldn’t take your eyes off. Bangchan. Christopher Bang himself. You couldn’t take your eyes off of him. His shirt clung to his form, the whole outfit made him irrefutably stand out. Not that the other members weren’t attractive they all looked amazing. Chan just…he made you wild. You followed his gaze off screen and finally faced him and there he was speaking, and looking at you. Your face immediately heated, as you focused your attention elsewhere.

After a few more songs they let the concert goers out for intermission, intermissions usually lasted about 10-15 minutes. You made your way out of the arena to the confessions.

“Hi, what would you like?” The lady at the counter asked. “Uh…could I have a water please?” She nodded and retrieved the water. As you paid you felt a light tap on your shoulder. “Hi, sorry to interrupt you, but could we speak to you in private miss..?” You turned to see two staff members and a body guard. You felt your stomach drop, had you done something wrong? You grabbed the water and nodded slightly, clearly nervous. The body guard took you by the arm and led you through the crowd of people in lines and you overheard the staff member say something. “Yes, the girl from front row vip. We’re heading back now.”

They led you to a small room, and the staff member sat across from you, And pulled out a small file. “This is pretty unusual for us, and it doesn’t happen very often…but one of the members wants you to sign an NDA.” She spoke. She was just as nervous as you were. You let out a huge sigh, relieved that you weren’t in trouble. As crazy as it sounds, you weren’t entirely sure about moving forward…

A possible thought for how Aphrodite should be portrayed in the series. Bc honestly, I want her to have a little more depth-character wise then just a pretty little afterthought that is kinda shallow. (I love the idea of multiple actresses playing her, that thought is gorgeous.)

I want her to be a fan girl. A book fanatic.

It’s been confirmed that Aphrodite reads steamy romance novels (see Percy Jackson’s guide to Greek gods) and it’s been confirmed she likes making people’s love lives interesting. (See her conversation with Percy in Book three and I think her conversation with Annabeth, piper and hazel in I think Mark of Athena?)

I want to see her giggling as she bothers Athena about characters in a book that Athena recommended to her, completely missing the themes and telling Athena about her favorite ships. ( Athena massaging her temples)

I wanna see Aphrodite kicking her feet and squealing when she makes someone use an “who did this to you.”

I wanna see her wearing band merch and going to concerts, dancing and singing along to the music, being the literal manifestation of love in the crowd, for the band, for the fans, all of it.

I wanna see her roll her eyes at other people’s ships and purposefully tank them just because she absolutely hates the idea of it, and then change her mind a week later.

I wanna see her inspire fan artists to do ship art because god she loves this ship and Athena won’t weave her an image of them for her, and then hold it close to her chest and dance around the room—no matter the skill level of the artist.

I wanna see Ares be like doing matinence on his Harley and Aphrodite bouncing up to him asking if he will recreate this scene she read about, and when she’s done describing it—the two of them scrambling off to go be intimate.

Idk, I wanna see the goddess of love, be love you know? I want her to have an actual: “most people assume I’m shallow, and that my kids are too. I guess that’s true in a way. I know what they think of me: and I don’t care. I’m happy, just the way I am and I think that offends them.” I want her to have an actual character outside of just “mmm I’m pretty goddess has little to no personality other then being pretty.”—because that is misogynistic.

And I know that I’m not gonna get all those scenes, I’m very aware of that—but that is the energy I want Aphrodite to have.

in my mind there exists a camp half blood theme park section at the Disney parks built with the same investment and value as the Harry Potter stuff at Universal and it is GLORIOUS.

Imagine walking into thee Camp Half Blood, all the cabins in their U formation, a big fire pit with seating all around, forest surrounding everything. No need to turn every cabin into its own attraction, but build 3-4 to varying degrees of thrill. Poseidon's Cabin would be the main focus, with an epic indoor water ride similar to the old Maelstrom ride at Epcot. Hephaestus cabin entrance leads to an epic outdoor coaster through the forest. I think it'd also be cool to have some smaller attractions/experiences built in like an Artemis hunt themed carousel style ride with ancient Greek styled sculptures, a Lotus Casino styled bar in the Hermes cabin similar to the Oga's Cantina in the Star Wars land, even a weapon instruction show thing at Ares' (not literal, I mean like the mini lightsaber training thing they do with kids in Tomorrowland). Your dedicated merch areas are all built into this too. Clothing/accessories like CHB T-shirts and necklace beads in Aphrodite, more nerdy collectible stuff in Athena (And of course, that includes all the books!). A small restaurant with lots of outdoor seating under the trees that serves various Blue Foods™. Use the fire pit area and its surrounding seating for light shows to tell the stories of ancient Greek Myths.

Okay this was longer than expected and I'm writing all this past 2am so it may not make sense anyways, but yeah I do think Disney should absolutely be capitalizing on the interest levels of the existing pjo fandom, and the world setup of the series being centered at CHB lends itself to a theme park land so well.

Side Note: Having a Camp Half-Blood Tshirt for a cast member costume would be thee best thing on earth actually and as a cast member myself, I think everyone would be fighting tooth and nail to get into that area.
