Kuroko would, of course, be an amazing kindergarten/elementary teacher. He have Nigou certified as a helper dog and would have all the best guests

Kagami would be a firefighter. Amazing, no notes

Aomine would be a policeman. He'd be one of the ones who is weirdly good with teens and trouble kids

Kise would be a model (I know he canonically wrote pilot, but I can't see him with such a regular job, and I read a fic once where he'd kind of grown to hate it, so), and I feel like he'd be the everyman's representative for the Olympics or any major sporting event. The media would be all over him - this amazing model, former member of the Generation of Miracles. And then he would watch whatever sport was being explained on that segment and ace it first try

Midorima would be a doctor. Either a specialty surgeon or a pediatrician, no in-between

Murasakibara would be a baker/pastry chef, and run an amazing bakery

Akashi would take over his father's business, hire Momoi, and end up owning half of Tokyo. Between the two of them, it would be the most above-board conglomerate ever

Riko and Hyuuga would run a sports camp with Kiyoshi for kids of all ages and backgrounds

Imayoshi would use his unique ability to take down every yakuza and gang in the area. He always asks for Aomine when he calls, and half the detectives either can't stand him or don't know what to do with him

You loved classic combinations with a hint of extravagance and you always felt great in your body. Plus, it was a date with Junpei – of course you wanted to look sexy and feminine.

↘ You were about to say something as your back straightened and the chest was pushed forward, but your boyfriend was much faster.

↘ “It’s rude to talk about other people, especially in a restaurant. Why don’t you take care of your clothes instead of my girlfriend?” He asked with a disgusted smile, and the two women quickly hid behind the menu card. You giggled, taking your boyfriend’s hand and thanking him.

↘ “Y/N, let’s go to the water for a while.” Nakamura’s partner proposed with a big smile, and you just nodded slightly, adjusting the straw hat on your head and also the strings of your red swimsuit. In the meantime, you heard the screams of a woman who telling someone to not look at you.

↘ You looked towards the young woman and the man (probably her boyfriend or husband), then raised an eyebrow. The blonde stranger started telling him to stop staring and you’re not that pretty at all. You... just giggled.

↘ “... Why don’t you start working on your confidence instead of insulting me?” You just said, putting your hand on your hip, and the young woman’s cheeks took on the color of a ripe tomato. “With this attitude, I do not wish you a long relationship. I’m so sorry for you, man.” You said and then you and your friend walked towards the pleasant, warm water.

↘ You and Shoichi were invited to his childhood friend’s wedding. You liked the groom and the bride very much, but you felt the eyes of the maid of honour on you, who was looking enviously at your beautiful mid-thigh dress. The bottle green perfectly matched the colors of the room, your hairstyle and make-up, which is why you certainly caught the eyes of many people. In addition, the dress had an exposed back, slight creases on the thighs and silver elements that harmonized with the jewelry you had on your ears, neck and hands that evening. You looked divine.

↘ The bride’s witness, however, had a different opinion on this. From a distance, you could hear her gruff comments about you wanting to take your eyes off Yuri and her white, beautiful dress. Somewhere between the first and second toast, you also managed to hear that you look fat in your outfit and your shoes don’t match to the rest of your accessories. You just smiled at those words.

↘ “... Should I talk to her?” Your boyfriend asked calmly and you just shook your head.

↘ “Don’t worry, honey. I will do it.”

↘ On that day you were on a trip to the mountains to celebrate your fourth anniversary of your relationship and your first anniversary as a engaged couple. The weather was beautiful and the views was so amazing. You still had less than an hour to drive to your accommodation, but you had to pee and Shuuzou decided to refuel his car. After using the toilet at the gas station, you decided to buy yourself and your boyfriend a small, warm snack. You ordered one hot dog with ketchup and mayo for your partner and a small grilled sandwich with your favorite toppings.

↘ It was hot that day, so shorts and a tank top were the perfect choice. And you could start to tan a little. Unfortunately, after paying for the meal and fuel, and after receiving the food, you heard a very unpleasant comment from one of the gas station customers; his disgusting comment about you looking like a pornstar with a dick in your hand made you immediately wanted to vomit. But your face showed anger and disappointment.

↘ “It’s sad that you have so little self-confidence and manhood that you have to insult others for their appearance. But go on. Maybe someday it will make you feel better.” You replied casually as you left the small building. Luckily, your boyfriend quickly cheered you up with a quick but tender kiss.

↘ Summer and warm evenings were the perfect time to go out to the club and party with trusted people. Together with Taisuke, his friends, as well as Takao and Miyaji partners, you chose a club where you could dance, use karaoke equipment, drink something and play bowling. You were in the middle of a little fight between you with your boyfriend and a blonde basketball player with his girlfriend (your bestie).

↘ For today’s outing, you decided to wear leather pants that perfectly emphasized your legs and butt, as well as a white, lace top with gold elements. On your feet you had the most ordinary sneakers and a black bandana on your head. Your outfit was described by Taisuke as ‘very sexy and I want to kiss you now’.

↘ You had a great time while playing and drinking drinks (alcohol or not). Halfway through your game, all the boys went to get more snacks and use the restroom. So you stayed with Junko and Sachiko and engaged in a pleasant conversation about plans for the next weeks of holidays. About the time your boyfriend and his friends left three of you, a group of four men entered the bowling alley. Seeing you and your friends, they immediately started throwing obscene comments at you all.

↘ “... Leather turn me on a lot. You must have worn that outfit to the club on purpose, huh?” The tall, black-haired teenager laughed out loud, and you frowned. You hated pushy men... or rather pushy and stupid boys. However, before you responded to the idiotic comment, your boyfriend and the other four returned to their place, immediately showing their dominance and superiority. The Shuutoku team was definitely more massive and taller than the four strangers, so they instantly fell silent.

↘ You were glad that you could count on the support of your boyfriend and friends.

@pinkreveluv6 i worry my reply might reach its limit, so here’s my response as to why i like kiyoshi and kagami in a post! :

hmm i don’t really have a solid answer, i just like their dynamic. after szn 2’s first games (vs. shutoku and vs. kirisaki daiichi) where we see kiyoshi in official games for the first time, i liked kagami’s reactions to him. teaming up to block midorima, kagami finally having support on the inside rather than seirin swapping btwn him and mitobe, kiyoshi’s overall dependability on the court. to me they’re two sides of the same coin in a game: kiyoshi isn’t as outwardly aggressive as kagami when he’s playing center, but he’s definitely tough whereas kagami is, from the get-go, very obviously someone to keep an eye on because of how brash he is.

knb generally doesn’t have much one-on-one interaction off the court unless it’s practice, a flashback, or two characters making some sort of pledge, so thinking of kykg interactions off-court is where things get flexible with them. kiyoshi is very much an older brother figure, and i think kagami needs that! of the few people we’ve seen capable of getting kagami out of his head, kiyoshi has been one of those and has done it with the least words (i.e. just patting his head)

overall, kuroko’s basketball has a lot of boys will be boys relationships, friendly or platonic. by which i mean: we see friendships develop through the course of them spending time together, and gradually see everyone become comfortable with their respective teams. kiyoshi and kagami, in particular, have chemistry from defending the inside together and from the aforementioned wordless comfort. i feel that’s something that can easily be translated into interactions off-court.

edit/add-on: from this, you can probably gather there’s not much of them that’s super obvious (as compared to kagakuro, aokise, midotaka, etc.) so as a writer, that = freedom. with popular ships, there’s a lot that has been done already and while any new take on a trope is wonderful, kiyokaga is one of those that’s able to have a first. from having their first AU - worldbuilding, new characters, added traits, maybe even magic - to having their first ficlet tagged lazy morning.

there’s a lot of material that’s not there, and that’s one of the things i like the most.

I HAVE AN ANOUNCEMENT TO MAKE: First of all, I reached 90 followers! Only ten more, and I will hoist my '100 Followers Event'. I have revisited the list of 50 questions I gave you all for my previous Event and swapped out ones I already answered during the event or in passing on my blog, for brand new questions of course. Considering all the drama I had about personal questions, get ready to invade my privacy! (please be kind ^^) Secondly, I want to announce that to my list of upcoming projects (the Event and my RP blogs), I will be opening myself up for requests from fandoms outside KNB. I still want to mainly write KNB stuff as I have so much god be damned inspiration, but I want to take some requests from the other fandoms I mentioned on my blog too. Especially the dead ones. As a fellow fan, I know we are starved for content so let me give it to you! I know I can sometimes leave requests lay around in my inbox for months, but I genuinely do want them! I love the books, yet I also see the flaws in them and Cassandra as a writer being so familiar with her works (I even got familiar with her fanfiction and read the entire Draco Trilogy). She's not as bad as an author as her haters make her out to be, but she really has some sucky areas alright. I can already predict how some of her flaws are going to show up in TWP, and as a long time fan, whilst I am excited for the trilogy and it got me through TLH- I do also want to create my own vision for the perfect ending series and avoiding some of the things I've come to dislike about her work over the years. I hope my fellow Shadowhunter fans are excited! Taking care of the empress’s plants was your favorite thing, and the middle-aged woman loved the garden where she could sit, drink her favorite tea and talk to other palace superiors. She appreciated your hard work, and though she shouldn’t, she spoke to you often and thanked you for your interest in her favorite flowers, as well as the shrubs that proudly covered her kingdom. You had a good hand with flowers and at any time of the year the royal palace could boast beautiful specimens of rare plants or lush cherry trees.

While working at the emperor’s court, you had the opportunity to meet some of the most important names: the royal couple themselves, several high-ranking officials, the royal family’s favorite cooks, their son, and a handful of philosophers or sages.

You had a special affection for Prince Tatsuya, and he had the same feelings for you. As soon as he saw you for the first time, he was genuinely infatuated with you. He brought you small gifts, though you rarely accepted them because of your social role in the palace. Nevertheless, he was in love with you, and your hidden relation seemed as strong as the ivy that overgrow one of the northern walls of the huge palace.

Even though you both knew you would never be more than lovers to each other, you did not give up on your love, often talking about what the future might hold for you.

So when your work was over and you could retire to your small room among the other rooms of the palace staff, the Prince would always accompany your person and whisper to you about his plans and thoughts. He felt like a child with you and he didn’t look like himself at all; I mean, his other side was always proudly walking next to his father or teachers.

“... I’m not going to succumb to the emperor’s urgings and marry a woman I don’t love or even know. It’s really ridiculous. That’s why we should live in the palace together and live a peaceful life. That’s my plan. What do you thing about it?” His smile was light, though his expression seemed serious. Well he was a Prince. Of course he wanted it to be his way.

“Moving in together sounds really great...” You started quietly.“But we are not married.” You replied quietly, trying to keep as quiet as possible. After all, next to you was the room of the court seamstress.

“Then marry me.”

“It’s not that simple, my Prince. It’s against the law. We can’t do this.” you answered. “But maybe in the next life... Who knows?” You added more cheerfully, looking at his face.

You knew it was all just silly banter and daydreaming. But it was fun to dream.

Fanfic Recs: Kuroko no Basket

For my second round of Kuroko no Basket fic recs, here are some AU fics that knocked me off my seat with their creativity. What-if fics are a good avenue of showcasing an author’s imaginations, hence my love for them. Surprisingly, KnB offers a rich source of alternate paths. So go ahead and try these out.

Ray Of Shine by Aglio - Saggezza 

Author’s summary: "If you thought they were wrong, you should've just punched them or something." Not exactly anyone's definition of sound advice, but, well – what if Kuroko had? One-shot, gen, rated for minor violence and profanity. (Status: complete)

Thoughts: Crack! I’m not lying when I say I was snorting during the whole time I was reading this. I mean, we’ve seen how terrifying Kuroko can be in canon that even the GOMs fold over to his rage. Read on to find out what Teiko!Kuroko has to say to Aomine under that dramatic atmosphere.

Nineteen: A Truth of Red on Blue by hokkyokukou 

Author’s summary: When they were nineteen, Kuroko was no longer with them. It was an accident that no one liked to talk about. They called it an accident, because the alternative was too horrific. But, when they were nineteen, they realized... it may not have been an accident after all. The red truth was beginning to surface no matter how much they rejected it, so they took it head on... for Kuroko. (Status: complete)

Thoughts: Great writing here. The author masterfully tricks readers into thinking one before actually revealing another end of the spectrum. Gut-wrenching angst. On-point characters. Bittersweet friendship. Unique. Give it a go.

Author’s summary: With nothing else to do, Kuroko's just going to have to keep trying until he hopefully gets it right. The only problem? He doesn't know what getting it right means. But time loops are dangerous places if you're stuck too long. (Status: ongoing)

Thoughts: Another unique fic. If you’re into time loops exploring multiple paths and characters (the ultimate AU), this would be an exhilarating ride.

(Status: ongoing)

Thoughts: If you want a fic with Kdrama feels, this is it. The author writes Kise and Akashi so well. The OC, my goodness, don't let me start. OC is amazing, unique, flawed and therefore realistic, and a force to reckon with even for our favorite boys. You have to read this. It won't disappoint. The author actually rewrote this fic. The first version was such a good ride, so I’m very eager to read the new, revamped version.

Author’s summary: There was something about this simplicity. The taste of warmth and silence. And home. Things he hadn't known before. And he came to know a single thing throughout the seasons which changed their colors in time. If he was a king. Then she was a lionheart. [Akashi/OC] - [AU] (Status: ongoing)

Thoughts: In this fic, Rakuzan won the Winter Cup. So how exactly was a simple granddaughter of Akashi’s shogi playmate going to ease into his Bokushi heart and help piece himself back together? Great and compelling writing. (The author also wrote for Aomine entitled “Egoistic”. I haven’t read that but it’s complete, so you might want to check that out, too.)

Bubble of Eternity by Dragonseatingme 

Author’s summary: One chocolate milk-shake, an exchanged smile, three heart-breaks and one love story. She meets him when she is sixteen and from then her life is filled with moments revolving around a boy with golden eyes, golden hair, a golden smile and a golden heart. A story told in parts. KiseOC One-shot. (Status: complete)

Thoughts: Lovely. Gives those high school first love vibes that mature into adulthood where second chances are given.

“Miyaji, this is a peace meeting, don’t talk like that,” Otsubo reprimands. “Takao, do not flirt with any sharkfolk, do you understand? I need you to say you understand.”

“I understand,” Takao says, smiling innocently.

“Wow, what big arms you have,” Takao says, sliding up to the sharkfolk man, and patting one of the aforementioned arms. “I bet you could lift almost anything.”

“Excuse me?” the sharkfolk sputters. Takao glances up at him through his eyelashes, and grins.

“And your tail looks so smooth!” Takao (in what most merfolk onlookers thought to be a particularly suicidal move) strokes the sharkfolk’s tail at the hip. “Oh! It’s not soft. How fascinating.”

His hand is immediately caught in the very strong grip of his enemy. “Don’t do that,” the sharkfolk says, in a way that would ordinarily be very menacing. “Do we know each other?”

Takao laughs, because of course he wouldn’t be recognized. “We never formally met, but we once tried to kill each other on the battlefield.”

“That doesn’t narrow it down,” the sharkfolk says.

“I’m Takao! Takao Kazunari. And you’re Midorima Shintarou, one of the top generals. Can I call you Shin-chan?” Takao bats his eyelashes.

“No, you cannot.”

“I’m going to anyway,” Takao says. “We’re friends now, after all. Shouldn’t we be friendly?” He swishes his tail in a way that would send a clear message to another merfolk, but he’s not sure what message it sends to the sharkfolk. By Midorima’s blush, Takao is willing to bet the tail-language is similar enough.

“You’re ridiculous! This is-- you’re absolutely absurd. Leave me alone.” With that, Midorima releases Takao’s hand and swims away-- not quite at breakneck speed, but definitely close enough.

Takao bursts out laughing, and he knows Midorima must have heard him while he fled. But he can’t help it-- Midorima Shintarou had been absolutely fearless on the battlefield. Unrelenting and confident in his ability to destroy his enemies. He would have never retreated from Takao on the battlefield.

The fact that this is a way to scare away one of the most dangerous sharkfolk of all time is just so… adorable.

Clearly, Takao needs to exploit this and flirt as much as possible.
