ㅤㅤAh -- right, there were supposed to be drinks with this, too, right? Her experience with alcohol wasn't exactly....great, but.. It wasn't supposed to be terrible when it was mixed in with juices and stuff, so..? She's taking a sip..!

      She couldn’t know how her attentiveness bothered him, but she’d certainly been noticing a thing or two about the blue blur--things she was somewhat familiar with. For now it was only able to be labeled as suspicions of hers, but if she could get him to talk about it--even if just a little, maybe she could conclude those suspicions. 

“Ya just..had one’a them looks, ya’know? Tha kinda look in ya eyes like ya had somethin’ heavy weighin’ on ya mind. If ya need ta get somethin’ off’a it, I can be all ears for ya..?”

      Of course, she couldn’t force anything out of him--she wouldn’t try. If he didn’t want to talk, there wasn’t much she could do.

🍕 = What is your muse’s usual pizza order? Do they order any drinks, sides, or desserts to go with it?

      Lykoi usually goes for really simple flavors, with only a few toppings–white cheese with pepperoni is her favorite, so far. If she gets any sides or anything to go with it, it depends on if she’ll have people to share the pizza with. If she doesn’t, the most she’ll get is maybe a side of breadsticks. If she does, she’ll get at least one from each category, just to make sure everyone has plenty to eat.

📚 = What is your muse’s favorite genre of books? What are some of their favorite authors and/or books?

      When she was younger, Lykoi liked to read the fantasy kind of stories, especially if they were long enough to have multiple books. She was also interested in series that played around the apocalyptic genre, like Susan Beth Pfeffer’s Life as We Knew It. After the end of the world basically almost happened, though, she’s shied away from the genre, but will sometimes look at semi-dystopia genres like the Divergent series.

“……Ya’know, I remember what I was doin’ tha day Doctor Eggman defeated Sonic–when tha war really started. I remember I was runnin’ late for a shift..I didn’t have tha shirt I needed, an’ had ta wait for it ta dry. Ashley scolded me pretty rough, tha’ day..but tha rest of it was regular. Joanna an’ her dad came in, same time as usual, ordered the regular–steak an’ fries an’ a chicken basket, no salt, no sauce. Missus Debbie an’ her crew stopped by, sat an’ talked a while..”

“Everythin’ was normal until someone pointed out tha news. People were bein’ evacuated because of an attack from Eggman. I remember seein’ tha list of cities that were bein’ evacuated, the current casualty count, the estimations, an’ tha report tha’ not only were officials workin’ ta help citizens, but Sonic was on his way.”

“I got ta witness tha report when he lost ta some new weapon of tha Doc’s--when he was taken, unconscious, an’ Eggman got ta continue an’ finish what he started with ease. I remember tha live broadcast endin’ real quickly after tha’.”

“……I remember..callin’ my mom..ta figure out if she was among those who were able ta escape. Tha’ was her city tha’ was first attacked, ya’know? …She never answered. It’s almost been a year, now. I never got a call or a text–nothin’. I knew, then..I know, now. She’s gone.”

“……I wonder if there’s somethin’ wrong with me, sometimes.. ‘Cause I never grieved her.. I’ll get sad when I think about her, yeah, an’ I’ll cry, sometimes, but… She was all I ever had..my only family.. but I never grieved her…”

“Okay, so this one time, right? This was back when I was still livin’ with my mom.. I didn’t like tha attic–don’t know exactly why, don’t know if it was just too creepy or if it was actually full-on haunted, or what, I just couldn’t stand bein’ in it or near it.”

“Well, she has this spiral staircase, an’ it’s the only way ta get up to tha attic, besides a pull-down staircase in tha hall. An’ I had ta get somethin’ from up there, an’ I was reachin’ through tha bars of the stairway ta get it. Well, I get tha thing, an’ I don’t bother luggin’ it down tha hard way, I just toss it over the stair railin’. Wasn’t heavy or breakable, so it was fine. Mom thought it was me hittin’ tha ground, though, so she gets up and comes bustin’ outta her room..but when she did, it sounded like somethin’ was comin’ out tha attic. So, I freak out, an’ throw my own damn self over tha railin’–for real, this time. Landed straight–” she gives a loud clap of her hands to emphasize this.. “–flat on my back.”

“I was winded for a bit, but once I could breathe, I couldn’t stop laughin’.. I used ta joke about it a lot with her.. It was kinda like an’ inside joke..just between us..”

🎡 AMUSED

It’s pretty easy to amuse Lykoi–from cheesy jokes to classy pranks, everything is fair game. However, how much she shows her amusement depends on the situation she’s in and the people she’s around. When in large groups or around strangers, she’ll be quieter, giving at least a smile and at most a soft snicker. When she’s with a small group or with no more than a couple of friends, she’ll laugh more openly, cackling and even wheezing at the especially good jokes.

The only time it’s difficult to amuse her is when she’s upset about something. Using jokes to try and cheer her up will unfortunately only have a negative effect, then. Wait until she’s cried it out or calmed down–she’ll be easier to cheer up and amuse again, then.

      She does believe in a couple of superstitions, such as knocking on wood to avoid jinxing oneself. She also believes in a few of the “luck superstitions” such as “avoid walking under ladders or breaking mirrors” or “finding a penny on heads and picking it up can bring good luck.” These are really just the common ones you hear every day, so she’s heard them since she was a kitten.

🐲Were they afraid of monsters under the bed as a child?

“Well, yeah, I mean–everyone’s afraid’a somethin’ bumpin’ around in tha middle of tha night when they a kid, right? A’course I thought there was somethin’ in my room with me for a l’il while. Mom kinda helped me snuff out tha’ fear, though. Now tha’ I’m older, I realize how dumb it was, haha..”

      She still felt bad about accidentally pelting him with a snowball--she hadn’t been able to make it up to him, yet, either. As she racked her mind for ideas, she noticed..he wasn’t exactly wearing clothing meant for winter. If the occasional shiver told her anything, too..he was probably cold, right now (and the snow that hit him likely hadn’t helped..). Keeping her scarf around her neck and muzzle, she removed her own coat and dropped it over the dark hedgehog’s shoulders, raising a brow when his response was to..ask what she wanted? Oof, and she could almost taste the venom dripping from his tone with that ‘you.’

“Ya..looked cold? Thought ya might like a jacket, or somethin’. Sorry if it was surprisin’ or anythin’..just figured I’d try ta be nice..”
