well basically his species thing (which I have placeholder named [eels]) got conquered by flos (kingdom daffodil academy is set in) or an ally of flos. the exact reason hasn't really been discussed I originally suggested it just so he can keep his obviously non-human design

anyway delta (this is his birth name now I think. damn) got picked up at a young age. not young young like in his canon but he's still young! I'm gonna skip over a lot because I wanna give alia the stage for talking abt it, but holy shit daffodil got him guys. brainwashed baby. conditioned whumpee through and through!

this was initially bc he was very scared and. traumatized from war so he was terrified of what flos would do to him but like. no, he's treated well. he's taught stuff in lessons and has his own uniform made for him and can customize it and as long as he's good teachers are nice and tell him he's good and how he's so much more intelligent than other [eels] and that he truly is one of the good ones, and that daffodil is fortunate to be able to care for him.

also his psychic telekenisis thing is no longer a psychic thing! it's magic now <3 mage delta... battle mage delta... flos doesn't have the technology required to develop nukes but delta is absolutely a nuke. a percentage of soldiers are his guards since he's always so vulnerable after launching...

also!! he still has the sensory part of telekenisis, and as such he gets an equivalent of the psychic dampeners he has in destroyer. they're manacles this time! can connect to be cuffs with chains (seen in art!), but delta is very well behaved so they're usually just bracelets he's not allowed to take off! yay!

a visual I have issss delta pouring tea in a war meeting discussing how to utilize him. nobody is talking to delta, he's only being talked about as an asset. the most human interaction he gets is a quiet "thank you" from the first few actual participants and specifications for what they want to drink. the subtle dehumanisation in this little scenario is really nice... it's not blatantly referring to him as just a weapon, it's calmly acknowledging him as lesser as if that's a truth, and nobody says it out loud.

uhhhhhhh I think that's mostly it for the part 1 of this!! alia lmk if you want me to talk about how he wears the daffodil uniform or if you'd rather do that

i had an idea that while Halfas can die and become full ghosts it is still hard to kill them

in ghost form the can get survive same as full ghosts (even if the get their head cut off they can just put it back in place) so they are basically immortal-ish there.

in human form they are way more durable than average human but still. they can get hurt more meaningfully than in ghost form and still feel pain so can't exactly shrug it off.

as such they instinctively transform if the damage is bad enough to risk their lives and because the injuries translate to forms if the injuries in ghost form are bad enough they get that block on transforming back to human like you'd get if you tried to put your hand in boiling water.

you can but your survival instincts say nu-huh so you just don't.

my brain also gave me a scene(incomplete and in video format so that's what you get)

Danny is desoriented and kinda not feelin' it because duh.

"Ugh" he gets up into a sitting position and finds himself in ghost form, confused, he must have transformed and haven't noticed somehow? someone is calling him.

"Phantom!" someone staggers closer clearly panicked and limping, which makes sense considering the current situation.

"Phantom what happened?? i saw Danny there is he okay???"

Phantom panics a little himself and kinda hysterically laughs "i hope so!" then takes an unnecessary breath to calm down and explains hurriedly standing to his feet. "i portaled him to my lair so he should-"

he was interrupted by the person he was talking to "oh Ancients! are you okay??"

he looks down to where the person is looking to find out he very much looks blown up at the moment exept in green... which he hadn't noticed before and the sight makes him queasy.

he knows he will heal up in a few hours tho, or a day? depends. ouff that hand looks like it barely hangs on how did he use it to prop himself up??? "at least everything's attached, eh it'll be fine in a few hours"

he elects to not think about it and better think about whether or not it's too traumatising to see for him to check up on other people who were in radius (not as close as him, hopefully no casualties)

he will freak out later thinking he actually fully died, because he tried to transform back and couldn't (boiling water thing), but nope he just didn't wait long enough for his body to stich together the very important internal organs.

he should just wait and idk? go socialise since he doesn't look gorey anymore.

•When they see you creating a new character, they would probably host ceremonies in your honor if they could watch

•If it was one of the archons, they would be honored, or maybe the harbingers, they would host a shrine in your honor, or if anyone else, they would congratulate the person greatly

•If characters start MESSING with it, then I feel like you would have to be in HIGH power, like gods/archons

•So letting the traveler get to explore more things sooner than later, or releasing characters to be playable on your end

Sanji and zoro are both pegasi because of the whole “wings of the pirate king” thing. Don’t ask me how Zoro uses 3 swords with hooves, I have no idea, maybe he tapes his swords to his wings ?? I made usopp a unicorn for logistical reasons, but him being an earth pony makes sense too. Nami could also be a pegasus and I think that would make sense …. Luffy is an earth pony ofc. Chopper is just normal + a cutie mark bc I don’t want him to feel left out lol
