Remember that Fate Swap AU?

Yeah. It still has some hold on my imagination, and it suddenly hit me one day how isolating that immediate aftermath would have been for these two. Their bond is gonna be so tight.

The premise was that the characters who canonically died in the Infinity Castle & Sunrise Countdown get to live, and vice versa, with the caveat being that Nezuko was not part of the battle so she gets to live (going by Anon's prompt). The Ask was about the aftermath so most of the AU is about the aftermath, but at this point in AU:

--Zenitsu died of his injuries from fighting Kaigaku, told Yushiro to go save the woman he loves --Yushiro saves Tamayo by getting the secret!medicine from Kanao, changes Tamayo into a human against her will and gets absorbed by Muzan while saving her --Inosuke saves Shinobu (scarring her face in the process) but dies fighting Douma --Muichiro loses an arm in the fight against Kokushibo, but he and Genya are otherwise intact, and Sanemi dies after managing a few words to Genya --After Muzan is defeated, Giyuu collapses and holds Tanjiro's hand, apologizes for being unable to protect him, and dies --Himejima holds on (but falls unconscious), withstanding injury and the mark --Iguro and Mitsuri are comatose and shredded, but they have all their limbs and are alive --When Tanjiro changed, Muichiro noticed and fought him first, Genya and anybody else still standing tried to help, but ultimately Kanao saw that while he had still freshly changed, there was still a chance to stop him if his head was cut off at exactly the right spot --But getting that shot meant Tanjiro had a better shot at her heart

And then in the aftermath of the AU, we followed a bunch of their interactions and wound up with: --So many complicated feelings about what they've all been through (and like, how Tanjiro ended up a murderer) --After going through a depressive episode, Shinobu has a renewed sisterly relationship with Aoi, to whom she gifted Kanao's butterfly hairpiece. Kiyo, Sumi, and Naho go to school like regular children, with Shinobu having rejected Tengen's offer to adopt them. Shinobu has prominent facial scars, wears Tamayo's hairpin, and extremely occasionally, Inosuke's mask. --After some attempt at backing out, ObaMitsu survives and makes good on their promise. They assumed he totally lost his vision and she lost her womb, but neither ever asked for the medical details to be sure, so they are very happily surprised when it is revealed that he still has some vision (they can look forward to other happy surprises later). Also, Tamayo figured out how to treat The Mark, so yay. --Muichiro, Genya, and Nezuko are handling things pretty well, all things considered. They more or less become sworn siblings (Senjuro, a literature fanboy, sort of fanboys over their bond). Nezuko wears Giyuu's (repaired but too big for her) haori and reads scraps of a book called "The Legend of Zenitsu" which a sparrow collects for her. Muichiro wears braids like Mitsuri used to because he finds it funny. He is of course not the one who braids his own hair. Genya has no style updates. --Hear me out, but... I kind of wound up pairing Himejima and Tamayo?????? And I, who am not much of a shipper and generally only tend to go for canon pairings, really kind liked it????????????? Even though I otherwise would never????????? Like??? They have a son and his name is Chachamaru. Plus they pretty much adopted Muichiro, Genya, and Nezuko and they all live in the Kamado house. But if you asked them if they're a couple, they're like, "???? ew no ?????" SO YUSHIRO IS PISSED BEYOND THE GRAVE, RIGHT!? --Well, yes, at the very end --Like --I really, really liked the short conclusion I wrote that takes place in hell --Basically like --Yeah --I loved it --Hashira, and like --Tanjiro, and pals, but like, Muzan, and, yeah

Tommy and Evan were having a quiet night in tonight. They had originally planned on trying a new restaurant that had recently opened and they’d heard good things about, but both of them had been too tired after their shifts, so instead they were curled up on Tommy’s couch with the remains of their takeout strewn on the coffee table. Tommy was sitting in the corner of the couch reading his library book, a romance novel set in the 1950’s about two best friends who met at the newspaper they both work at and how they fall in love, (honestly, Tommy kind of saw himself and Evan in the characters. Nick who was desperate to stay closeted and resigned himself to never having a meaningful relationship and kept himself closed off and distant from his coworkers and family, not having many friends, and Andy, who was so open and full of life and hadn’t even thought about being attracted to men until he met Nick) while Evan was laying stretched out on the couch with his head in Tommy’s lap. He was reading about the history of typesetting, having been inspired when he’d learned that Tommy’s book was set at a newspaper. Tommy was playing absently with Evan’s curls while he read, and took immense delight in the sounds it was drawing out of his boyfriend.

“Hey, baby?” Evan asked, turning his head ever so slightly in Tommy’s direction so that he wasn’t muffled.

“Mmm?” Tommy said, pausing his reading but not looking away from his book.

“Let me know when you’re at a good place to stop, okay? I just read something really interesting.” Evan asked, making use of the system that they’d come up with for when one of them had read something that they wanted to tell the other about, because Tommy liked to tell Evan about the books he was reading as much as he liked to listen to Evan tell him about whatever he was researching.

“I have a few more pages in this chapter and then I’m all yours.” Tommy replied, and true to his word once he finished the chapter he moved his bookmark from where he’d tucked it at the back of the book to mark his spot and then placed the closed book on the arm of the couch, giving Evan his full attention.

Summary: Before everything, you and Tommy had been childhood sweethearts. But when the war changed him, he expected you to change with him...

It had been nearly a year since the war had ended, and by now your hopes that things would go back to the way they had been before, were long gone. Nothing was quite the same, but business at the betting shop was booming and even if he didn't confide in you the way he used to, you knew that Tommy was planning something big.

Before the war, there was hardly a thing in his life that Tommy didn't share with you. Not a day would go by where you couldn't be seen out in the street, arm in arm with Tommy, talking and laughing. Practically everyone in Small Heath was just waiting for the day when wedding bells would final chim.

As much as you hated to admit it, you were waiting too. But money was tight, and Tommy swore he wanted nothing but the best for you, even when you told him that you'd happily marry him on the bank of The Cut without a second thought.

In a way, you supposed, the war had only amplified what he already was: Ambitious and prideful. Only now, he didn't cut you in on his plans, and you saw him less and less with every passing day.

You could barely remember the last time you had actually spent time together. In a way, it felt like your relationship was already over. Maybe that was why it was so easy to make up your mind about leaving.

Originally, when Tommy first got his orders, the plan was for you to be married before he shipped out-

"Just in case," His voice wavered, but he still met your eyes, "So if anything happens to me, you'll be taken care of..."

"No- no- nothings going to happen Tom," Tears slipping down your cheeks, you had buried your face in his chest, "You're going to be fine."

Of course, the wedding had never actually happened. Somewhere between his deployment being moved up, Arthur and John's own orders coming in, and the scramble to make sure the betting shop would be safe in Polly's hands, there was never time.

Oh well, you supposed now, that just made it one step easier to walk away.

"Are you going somewhere?"

Tommy's voice at the bedroom door pulled your packing to a resounding hault. You cleared your throat before carefully resuming folding a blouse, "Yes. My cousins house in Liverpool. I'm on the 4:30 train."

He let out a sigh, and out of the corner of your eye, you could see him rubbing at his temples, "Were you planning on telling me or just disappearing?"

"I told Polly. And I'd've left a note." You said, finally looking up at him.

Tommy met your gaze evenly, but you could still see the flash of hurt in his eyes, "I know you told Polly. Darling- why not just tell me, that your unhappy?"

"Tell you? Tell you?" You repeated incredulous, "I never see you, Tommy, and when I do it's like you're not even really there! And unhappy does not even begin to cover it!"

He took a step further into the room, "Listen to me love, I swear to you, if you wait just a couple week more, for all this business to be over-"

"What business, Tommy? Or have you forgotten that you've neglected to tell me anything for the better part of six months! I've found out more about Billy Kimber and those blasted guns from John than you!"

"It was meant to be a surprise..." It was the quietest you had heard his voice in years.

"What, that you were taking over Kimbers territory? That you're selling out communists left and right? What about that is meant to be a good surprise, Tom?" You demanded.

Tommy's face twisted, and suddenly he was yelling too, "That we were moving up in the world! That with the money coming in we could finally get out of this shit hole!"

You let out a scoff, shaking your head, "Oh, and you'd finally marry me I'm sure, as if you haven't been treating like a stranger for months."

"Darling-"

"No. No apologies, no flowery words, no promises of changing," You stuffed the last of your things into your suitcase, and slamming in closed, "I'm done, Tommy."

He caught your arm when you went to go around him, standing between you and the door, "I thought you said you loved me."

You swallowed, looking up at him, "I did love you. Believe me I did. But then you turned into someone else... someone terrible."

Tommy's face broke, but you had to continue, "You scheme, and you lie and you do what you can to get ahead, and I can almost understand that, but not when it means cutting me out. There's no point in me staying here anymore."

For a long moment, a dozen emotions passed over his face, until finally, Tommy pulled a mask of neutrality together, speaking coldly, "I suppose you should go then."

You shook your head, swallowing back the lump in your throat, "Goodbye, Tommy."

For the kinktober thing, my mind lately has been thinking a lot of, what if Resh'an just... has a one-night stand? A one time date only (maybe urged into it by someone to give Tinder a shot or whatever) and deciding, fuck it. He's allowed at least one unattached date night that ends in hot sex. No romantic desires, no second date, just one sexy night because damn it, Shopkeeper is the one telling him he needs to unwind and stop thinking about Aephorul for, like, a day. I'm not too sure who the character in question would be for the one-night stand. Uhhh, I don't know. Phantom. Dude could use some relief after losing his love and getting possessed for centuries. *shrugs*

Mmm, I have definitely thought about Phantom/Resh'an before, although mostly in an extremely angsty kind of way. However. Now I am thinking about what an actual date between them would look like. Phantom would go all out, candlelit dinner and pulling out chairs and whatnot- I mean just look at him. It would be extremely sweet and so, so awkward. Resh'an would be torn between finding it charming and wanting to skip straight to the sex.

(It's probably going to be challenging for me to write non-AU immortal Resh'an having sex with anyone, and have it not end in him having some sort of nervous breakdown about it. I'm aware of my own limitations; I just really like making him miserable.)

I do kind of love the idea of Resh'an getting bullied by Shopkeeper and the rest of the Blue Robes into setting up a tinder profile on his nokia crystal ball, though. Very good image. An anonymous stranger might make the most sense, or at least someone who has less baggage associated with the ongoing cosmic struggles. Which leaves like...Ruxxtin, Colos and/or Suses, or specter knight a wacky crossover. Depending on how wiggly the timeline is from the Void, I suppose Verlot could be an option, too.

which is one of the reasons why I made this post but also not in a way as I just need ideas since I run out of writing motivation and get writers block commonly. But once I write a small fic or a chapter update too my fics I get a kick start of motivation and I need motivation for my ghostgambling multi chapter fic I’m working on right now.

Sam is a MASSIVE homebody. It's one of the few places they're relaxed enough for their werewolf powers to calm down and not go haywire. They also really love their parents, so their house has their safe people too (the rest of the squad will eventually become safe people too but it sure as heck doesn't start that way. Blame Hazel. Also blame Kate. Blame everyone but the 7 year old actually).

Prompt 17 is your OC being proud of something, and you get a twofer on this one! Kate eventually teaches Chase how to shoot, and they're both VERY proud of him when he hits the target for the first time.

This S/I I've had for a while now sense I finally toughened up and watched Markiplier's playthroughs of FNaF despite my fear of them, I just never talked about it because I don't know how to talk about it, sense it's the very first Kin self insert I've ever had.

Usually when I ~Vibe~ with a character I'll call it Kin, but this was a very different feeling and it took a while to figure it out. Once I did I kinda fell into imposter syndrome about the whole Kin thing sense I'd seen a lot of people take it a lot more seriously than I ever did, so I just.. quietly added the Nightmares to my F/O list and left it at that.

But now I'm finally here to say!!! I am the Crying Child!!

This Self Ship's funny to me because even in the FNaF Universe the Nightmare animatronics aren't Real so Nightmare Fredbear is still a Fictional Other fkgjfdkg

The entirety of the self ship happens while in a coma after the bite of '83, which you all know as FNaF 4. It's wasn't actually as scary as the game made it out to be... Well I guess at first is was.

The whole thing takes place in my house, but wrong. Like, my room has two doors and they won't latch, and all my toys look weird, and it's always night, and my head hurts all the time, and of course, there's animatronics in the hallways.

For a really long time I was super scared, I thought they were gonna eat me! But I spent a long long time with them and eventually became less scared. And then not scared at all eventually!

Sometimes I'd hear my dad or brother talking, but it'd be echoey and distant. Fredbear told me not worry about it too much. He's my best friend, so I trust him of course.

And, I mean.. That's it. It's not a very interesting self ship, just a child slowing succumbing to his wounds, comforted by the nightmares he had for years and years before.

The Ghost version is the thing that that Haunts the Narrative. It's as real as the Nightmares, and only Micheal and my Dad ever see it. I don't know what it is either, I just know it looks like me to them.

forgot to include this at first, whoops, but I also added a little daily par tracker so I can see it all in one place! there's a separate sheet where i update my word count every time i think about it, and then this table uses a vlookup to find the most recent word count and show it as a percent and a daily par to finish by the listed due date. (the par column compares between the overall goal and the subgoal and lists whichever par is higher between the two)
